Sam Jones aka Pete Ross from the early Smallville seasons was arrested and sentenced to one year in jail for being part of a drug dealing ring

In an interview about the show Tom Welling...aka Clark Kent/Superman...said that in between takes on the set they had weights set up for him to work out with.This helped him keep the Superman shape up during the long day of shots, plus it let the guys get a bit more pumped up looking in a hurry when they would do shots with their shirts off.

So in between takes he would be working out.He said during this time Michael Rosenbaum(Lex) would sit close by with a bucket of fried chicken,a beer and a cigar and watch him work out and laugh at him.

The SF was a let down. They didn't even get married.
