I blink and swallow hard. What on earth is she doing here?
She must be here for the few bits she left.
"One second" I tell her as I open my door to get her stuff. As I do I spot a twenty on the floor. I look at her. "Liz?"
I look round. "Whats this?"

"One second" he open the door and looks at the money.
"Liz? Whats this?" he asks me.

"The money you gave me. It is too much and besides you need it more." I said. I bet he's going to start yelling any minute now, telling me I rude his proud. When all I was trying to do was help him.

I know I broke his heart. But I really did it for him. He was pulled into my freakiness and I was too selfish to care about how his life would be. I do hope he is forgeting about me and moving on with his life.

I look at her. "Don't start that Liz." I give it back to her. "It was payment for my meal and a tip. Leave it at that"

I turn and go into my room, grabbing a bag with Liz's stuff. "This is yours" I say handing it to her.

"Fine. Beside not really my money. It's Maria's." I said puting back in my bag. I notice he goes in his apartment and hands me my stuff. It is just then I realize we are no longer together anymore.

I look at it sad and nods. "ok..." I looked up. "Sorry for everything I have done to you. I really do mean that." I said walking away from him and his apartment.

She puts the money away in her bag. "Ok.." she says taking her stuff.

"The money is for you for your good service. Was there anything else?" I ask bluntly. I don't know how to feel about my ex standing in my doorway as bold as day when she just got a date with another guy.

She heads downstairs, and before I can stop myself Im going after her. "Liz promise me you'll keep it" I tell her.

I know he hates me. I know he think I'm this cruel hearted alien that doesn't give a damn. But I do, well I do now.

Max shakes his head at me "Forget it. Sorry for even bothering." he walks off but I grab his arm.

"What the hell are you talking about? I have no date....wait you don't mean...you saw that?" I ask looking at him.
