Back again. This next one is also a track from the movie.
Same artist, too. The MV is actually on her YT channel.
Edie also paints, and makes animated videos.
I've checked some of it out, and it's pretty cool.
Through these fields of splendor
Through these walls of noise
I will remember
To use my voice
p.s. Marieh Delfino is in the movie. A nice
surprise, the first time I watched it.

				One Song Everyday # 4 - TRACKS 48 49 & 50! (Humbug)

				Artists: ARCTIC MONKEYS
Country: UK
The next time that I caught my own reflection
It was on it's way to meet you
Thinking of excuses to postpone
You never looked like yourself from the side
But your profile could NOT hide
The fact you knew I was approaching your throne
....
And your past times consisted of the strange
And twisted and deranged
And I hate that little game you had called
Crying lightning
Her arms were folded most indignant
NOT looking like she was soon to leave
I had to squint in order to believe
And then, like a butler pushing on a bookshelf
I'm unveiling the unexpected
I, who was earlier reluctant was
Suddenly embarrassed and corrected
How could such a creature survive in such a habitat?
And after you have dabbed the patch
you'll grieve
And then proceed to scratch the
varnish off
That newly added calmness
So as NOT to raise any alarms too
soon
And the clean coming will hurt
And you can never get it
spotless
When there's dirt beneath the
dirt
....
Can you hack your mind being riddled
with the wrong memories?

Lovely voice. And she's certainly feeling the music, when she dances.

Artist: OH LAND
Country: DENMARK
The only place we had to meet is night
While the sun he sleeps in shadows we can hide
On the mountainside we spent our time together
But it is gone when morning comes
I want to change the orbit
Don't care what you do now
I want to live in darkness
Don't want to be spun around

Life can be difficult, sometimes, especially when you're
dealing with some unwanted, ugly emotions that leave
you feeling lonely and defeated.
This next artist has an incredible voice, and listening to her
soulful songs has helped me put some of the craziness, I have
witnessed and experienced, in this life, in a higher perspective,
making it a little easier to face.
Artist: SKYE
Country: UK
Boo hoo
That’s you crying in the night
And your fists are clenched so tight
Keeping secrets

'Screw you!'
That’s what you would love to say
And you’d kick ‘em out the way
But instead you’re silent

But what if for one day
Just one time
Maybe you might try
Might try to

Scream it

NOT broken
In two, NOT you
Like the seed you grow
Under it all
Your roots take hold
Smooth out the creases
Then you'll see
....
NOT broken
Just loose at the seams

One Song Everyday # 4 - ROUND 55! (Earnest Keep)

I've recently become aware of this next artist.
Heard a few of her songs, liked them, and made a mental
note to come back and see what she's all about.
Great voice. Great music. Heartfelt lyrics.
Moved me enough to remember and return.
Her songs resonate with me in a clean, cathartic way.
Builds me up.
Breaks me down.
Disconnects, only to reassemble me.
Very freeing.
(NOTE: The link is to ReverbNation.com.
Currently there are three tracks posted on that
website. All are good (and feel free to listen to
them all), but the one titled below is the first one.
Just click the play button by the title track.)
We'll go straight to the car
'Cause it's quiet there
We'll find our peace by the miles
NO, we don't have enough to share
The light is near
Time for us to move along
I was just waiting on a
GOOD IDEA...
Prepare your-

Everybody's gonna
CHANGE...

Whenever I'm feeling nostalgic, I love to watch all of my older films or listen to all of my CD's from my teen years, so Disney or any other movie/film company will do that for me. Just a little bit earlier, I was watching "Now & Then", which I know shouldn't be in this topic, but I was also remembering the day when my mother would crank up the radio whenever 70s Saturday came on the radio, like clockwork, on every Saturday.

It may be winter where I'm at but, when I hear this
next track, it feels like summer all over again.
I have SO much fun when it comes on.
Happy to see that it features some of the dancers
who entered the dance competition, too.
(Unlike D'Banj's "Oliver Twist" that failed to deliver what
was promised to the winners who danced to HIS track.
Instead he has random artists do cameo shots. WTF.

That was such a disappointment.
Bricka Bricka was a nice
surprise, though, doing the wrong dance.)
It's been MONTHS. I really should get over it.

Anyhoo... enough of that.
Time to Azonto!!!

Artists: Fuse ODG feat. Wyclef Jean
Countries: GHANA (West Africa)/UK and HAITI (Caribbean)
This here link is of a couple flash mobbing the Azonto to the same track.
Whenever I watch this vid, I just about die laughing.
They're on point with their puppeteering, and their
movements actually act out the lyrics to the song.

One Song Everyday - BONUS TRACK: Azonto All Stars Mixtape

Okay, so the weekend is approaching, might as well
start a little early and have some more Azonto fun.
Here is a 9-minute video of some
INCREIBLE
dancers working their own Azonto.
Ghana's Nada, Joffstar reppin' Congo and Jordan
from Barbados, I thought were the best.
(Joffstar had some impressive hip-waist control there.

   )
They're all great though.
Had the ATTITUDE and CONFIDENT style going.
(NOTE: The vid has a mix of various tracks, so it's the
title of the posted vid, NOT of just one artist/song.)
Iyanya's "Kukere" playing at 6:09 is my favourite one.

ENJOY!!!

Today is Majandra's birthday, so... I gotta post a song for this special day.

It's a song she sings in S3 of
Roswell - Behind the Music.
(Love how she sings the song, and I like that it's just the guitar playing.
There's a simplicity about it that gets me all nostalgic, while listening to it.)
This is her first year celebrating as a mom.
Hope she's having a beautiful day!
Here I am, alone again
Waiting for the story to finally end
As the world spins around
It's out of my hands
Don't even try to understand
And I guess it's time to tell you
What you should already know
Oh, you know
I'm better breathing on my own
All alone.

Love these guys. Their music always gets me moving, and
their MVs are usually interesting and fun to watch.
And I think Mr. Macklovitch, the man wearing the glasses,
exudes pure sex appeal as a dancer.
