Re: Movie discussions
As MUCH as I love the original Halloween... the remake was good. I enjoyed the background story of Michael Myers. As for all the OTHER remakes... complete SHIT! Last House On The Left was a totally different take than the original. I would enjoy a remake of Sixteen Candles though as much as it is a classic and I love John Hughes (R.I.P) I would love to just see it updated. Keep the same script just update it LOL. Although Jake Ryan still holds my heart to this day... he's yummy! Ruined my 16th birthday though... I really thought he would be there waiting for me!!!!

Has anyone else seen 2 Lovers. I swear to God I wanted to throw things at my TV with the way that movie ended. How can you get totally dissed by one girl and then purpose to the other with the same ring that you were going to use on the first girl. Not to mention the fact that he purposed to her like 15 minutes after the chick said sorry but I'm not going to run away with you. What the hell?

LOL Okay as far as I can tell it's an American Movie takes place in New York. It came out in 2008, cast is amazing
Joaquin Phoenix and Gwyneth Paltrow
My friend found it at Pawn Exchange on a $1 DVD sale. Fair warning if you do decide to watch it, it's kind of bizarre. Okay let me give you a summery and I think that's all the details you may need.
Joaquin Phoenix plays a bi-polar Jewish man, who lives with his parents and works at his parents dry cleaners, his parents get an offer to merge with another Jewish dry cleaners. The daughter of the other guy sees him and has their parents introduce them, and right off the bat his parents are pushing him towards her because it would be a good match, they talk, they click, blah. Next day he sees Gwyneth Paltrow running down the stairs of the apartment building, they talk, they click, blah. Now if I tell you anymore then I think I've ruined the movie even more than I already have by ruining the ending.

Re: Movie discussions
LOL, you're right. They just remake the old films and make it 3D in order to make it look good but it's a complete waste of money.Earth2Mama wrote:How about this ... I'll up your statement one and say - How about producers/directors STOP REMAKING FILMS PREVIOUSLY DONE.Roswellian117 wrote:STOP REMAKING CRAPPY MOVIES!!!!!!!!
It's ... pardon my language - FUCKING annoying to see the same shit over and over and over again. Case in point, Halloween. Why the hell would you mess with a classic such as the first one? Totally unnecessary!
I hate remakes. HATE THEM!
plus the halloween movie (remake one) was too gory and I hated it that they remade it. I go for the original movies. The remake of halloween had Mike Myers grunting when he killed and showed a lot of gore. I prefer the old movies. Defo. I find old scary movies more scarier.
But the one scary movie that looks like a remake and has gore is Wrong Turn. That put me off camping for life.
Did I mention I hate follow up films like Wrong Turn 2 and 3. They just kill the story. It's best just to have one movie instead of making several other shitty ones that are directed by other people.

Re: Movie discussions
Legion is awesome and I recommend everyone sees it now before it leaves theaters. I have never ever had to imdb so many people after coming out of a movie. But no it was great, it got your interest at the beginning and kept it. I jumped once, and then I laughed, I was kind of glad that the lady behind us was laughing too and we weren't the only ones demented enough to find that kind of movie funny.

I saw Legion last week and I loved it! Totally agree with you Ang...valentinebaby wrote:Legion is awesome and I recommend everyone sees it now before it leaves theaters.
Has anyone seen the movie "Keith" ?
Its been airing on Showtime but I've seen it for rent at Blockbuster...
OMG ...I can't express how much I LOVE this movie...
ITs one of the most romantic heartwrenching movies I've seen in a really long time.
I must have seen it about twelve times now... there are certain scenes that I just can't get enough of... I wont spoil anything so I wont mention them but if you like romantic movies highly recommend it !
