"Eventful to say the least...but before you start peppering me with questions let me just say this that I will have the answer to all your questions later on in the day."

We reached the shopping arcade and started looking around and I could feel Maria bursting with curiosity...well she'll just have to wait a while longer

"So Ria,what's up with Michael and you?" I asked grinning

I grin at Isabel. "Me and Michael...I don't know....but...lets say that last night was fun..."
I saw Isabel look at me and I had to laugh. "Not THAT much fun!"

Home again....for what could be the last time. I feel so nervous....I swallow as I knock on the door. It's instantly opened by a butler. "Mr Whitman, welcome home. I believe Master Whitman is in an important meeting on the phone..."
"Then get him out of it...now" I tell him with a glare.
The butler scurries off and I breathe in deeply.....this was it.

I blushed. "What makes you say that?" I asked, but she just sent me a knowing look. "Am I that obvious?" I asked, the color in my cheeks deepening. If she could tell when Max wasn't around, who knew how obvious I was while in his presence.

"Oh, well I really wanted to ride, but thank you for the offer." I said slowly, still contemplating Isabel's comment. Could it be true? Obviously not the frying part, but does he really want to spend the morning with me? Then I thought back to his quick and snappish answer. Maybe he didn't want to teach me to ride at all; maybe he was just being polite. "Unless of course Kyle would rather I go," I added hesitantly.

(ooc: Ah, this will be difficult for me; I have to act like I've never been on a horse before! )

Isabel

"Oh good!for a moment I thought you'd gone and taken the plunge." I laughed


Kyle

"No no it'll be my pleasure to give you a few pointers." I said smiling at her "we can get going in half an hour."

(OCC-I have to pretend like I know what I'm talking about )

I laugh. "No, no. Im a good girl, Is....I won't be...doing that until I'm married...So...I have dished...its ur turn" I tell her. "Come on...please? It's not like Im going to say anything to anyone else."

Isabel

I kept quiet for a few seconds,knowing that she was going to burst then I said "Well let's just say Alex and I are in a good place right now,but we have some stuff to take care of before we think about a future."

"and before you ask 'why' and 'how',I'll tell you everything later on today or by tomorrow latest."

I roll my eyes. "Sure you will. Alritey, then lets go shopping!" I say smiling. "So come on then there must be something we can talk about...erm...ooh I know. My brother and Tess...aren't they sweet!"

I watched as my father prowled towards me.
"Son, Im glad you've come to your senses. I was just on the phone to the jewelers, there expecting you to this afternoon to pick it up."
I look at him. "Pick what up?"
"The engagement ring for Miss Gertrude of course."
I scowl at him. "No, Im not." I told him bluntly.
"Are you sure son...because you do realise what you will lose of you don't of course?"
I can't believe him!
"Dad, I've found the girl of my dreams and we're in love."
For a minute, my father looked taken aback.
I continued. "Shes sweet, romantic..."
His scowl returned. "Enough. You are marrying Miss Gertrude. I gave you time enough for you to diverge into your little fantasies. Get what you need from her by the end of the week then come back." he says before turning away.
"What!" I shout at him. Im disgusted at him. How could he say that.
"Father, I am never marrying Gertrude. I love Isabel and theres nothing you can do to stop us."
I see my mother peering around the door in the background...she never did like to get involved in our arguements.
He turns around to face me.
"Get...out" he said slowly.
"What?"
"Leave. Now"
We both look at each other.
"Fine"
I can hear a sob in the background...my mother doesn't deserve a man like him....
I start to walk towards the stairs. My father runs full pelt and blocks the stairs.
"I said get out! NOW!"
"My stuff..."
"Is things I bought you! And since you are no longer welcome in this house the things my money was spent on are mine!" he snarled "now get out."
"But my job..."
"Your job!" My dad spat at me. "Who do you think got you that job Alex! Do you know how I had to bribe them to take you on! Your a disgrace! Now get out before I call the police!"
I look helplessly at my mother.
"Im sorry" I say to her.
I turn on my heal and leave the house that was once called home.
Whilst I was inside, it had started raining softly.
Im about to get back in the cab when my dad, who had followed me out with two bodyguards tells them not to take me. The horse and can drives off.
The bodyguards then frisk me and take my phone and my jacket, leaving me my shirt, my trousers and shoes...and thats it.
I look at him. "What do you expect me to do?" I ask.
"Should have thought of that!"
He turns and goes back inside. He slams the door.
Almost on cue the rain becomes torrential.
I look down at the floor and tears escape my eyes.
I slowly walk down the street.

Isabel

"Oh...I know.They're just adorable.Both of them skirting around eachother like that.I think we need to give them both a shove in the right direction." I said grinning slyly

"Kyle is such a lot of hot air but when it comes down to the real thing he's all shy and well...Tess...what can I say...we need to give her lessons on how to get the guy you want."

I looked down at my watch "Damn Ria,look at the time,Kyle's going to be furious,it's past noon and we were supposed to be back half an hour ago.Come on let's go." I said hurrying along

I dash after her. "Oops...oh well Im sure Kyle won't be cross. It's going to be ok Is."

So far I have gone down....four, maybe five streets....and Im still a looong way off from the Valenti's. God...at this rate I won't be back before nightfall.
God I can't even call Isabel, and tell her where I am...
God I wish I could kick myself now....hard.

Eveyln:

"Oh...darlin' don't worry Maxwell is a great Man...but he never let anyone in like he's done here before. He's always had this protective shield around him, guarding him from any dangers, emotions, feelings. I guess he's had to depending on the kind of life he's had. With his mother dieing and his father sending him off to various Military schools, ignoring the boy." I stopped to sigh...and that's when Johnny came out to the room, and turned off the light.

Johnny:

"Okay..Miss Evelyn, they've all settled down sleep has claimed them all but not after me having to read them two stories. We'd better get going Lady Elizabeth...I'm sure Miss Evelyn has plenty of work to do." I smiled at Evelyn and kissed her on the cheek.

Evelyn:

I blushed a shade of Pink..." Oh..John you really now how to flatter a old woman."

Johnny:
"You're not an old woman...your just more matured that's all, besides if I wasn't married I'd snatch you up in an instant."

Eveyln:
"Don't you'll make Elizabeth feel bad..." I smiled at her and patted her hand. "You two better get going, I'm sure Maxwell will call any moment now, and he's probably worried that it's taking this long. It was very nice meeting you Elizabeth, and you are everything Max told me you were and more. He's a very lucky man it you ask me." I kissed her on the cheek. "Bye now."

Johnny:

With that we were on the elevator heading back down to the main floor and there was Mr. Valenti waiting..." Alright Lady Liz, it was very nice meeting you...and I will see you to your car." I bowed slightly as I opened the car door for her and sent her on her way.

Jim Valenti:

"So did it go well? Evelyn is the sweetest woman in the royal family." I asked her as she just continued to look out of the window.
