Thanx guys for continuing the feedback. You guys rock!!
To answer some questions Philip and Diane are both from Antar in this fic. i guess i didn't really clarify that early on. And the whole heating up thing between the trio was like an effect from this last mating ritual.

Part 39

Days had passed and Diane and Philip Evans were already on Antar. Their reception on the planet was a grand affair. Diane cried and ran to her children when they arrived. Philip simply walked up to everyone and shook hands. They had a large dinner and were led to their room.

“So where’s that grandson of mine?” Diane asked as she came up behind Lola. Lola turned with Will in her arms and handed him to his grandmother. “Hello there. Remember me? I’m your grandma.”
“I’m sure he remembers you Diane. It’s so good to have you here.”
“Yes, I’m glad to be back as well. I’ve missed this place. I remember having to chase Max and Zan around this place.” The two women kept talking.

“Pop, how ya been?” Zan walked into his parent’s room and sat beside the older man. Max walked in behind and sat on the other side of his father.
“Okay. So, how have you kids been? Pretty exciting stuff huh? Royalty now. My boys.” He smiled and put his arms around them.

“Yep. Come on dad, how are you? How have you been?” Max pushed further.
“I’m just fine kids. So how is this place? I hardly recognized the place. I’ve never really been in here much when I was younger, but things have certainly changed a lot. I was worried about you two. You suddenly stopped calling. That whole Khivar situation had me on the edge and then you disappear. I didn’t know what to think.”

The older man appeared shaken and nervous.
“Yo pops, we ok now. Relax.” Zan patted his father on the back.
“Yeah dad. We’re sorry we didn’t warn you but we really couldn’t. But dad, we’re ok now. We’re just glad you’re here now.” Max pulled his father in an embrace and Zan followed suit.
“I’m glad I’m here too boy. I’m glad too.”

Dom and Mayla walked arm in arm through the palace garden. They had spent everyday together since their reuniting.
“I remember having to chase you off from the academy. You were still very young and never wanted to leave my side. I got teased for that you know. The other boys would make fun of how close we were. Oh how I did miss you sister.”
“I missed you too Dom. You have no idea how much I suffered when I heard that you were dead. I wouldn’t eat, I hardly slept, and I didn’t attend the university anymore. I just couldn’t go back there. It reminded me too much of you.”

Larek came up behind them but waited until the sensed his presence to continue.
“Larek, my love.” Mayla stepped away from her brother to kiss Larek.
“I’ve been looking all over for you my love. They told me you two were back here. If I’m interrupting I can come back later.”
“No, no, no. Larek, brother, you stay. I’ll go. I’ve taken her from you for far too much time already. I should be getting back to work anyways. I will see you later sister.” He kissed his sister’s cheek and walked away.

“He’s right Larek. I’ve been neglecting you. I’m sorry. It’s just…”
“I know Mayla, I know. He’s your brother. You thought him dead all that time. You are not neglecting me my love. I love you. I want you to be happy.” He put his arm around her and kissed her.
“And I love you. Let’s to our chamber?” She smiled shyly.
“Let’s.”

Gabby sat in the large hall. She hadn’t spoken to her daughter all morning. Vilondra walked into the hall carrying a basket.
“Vilondra right?” Gabby called out to the young girl.
“Yes ma’am. May I help you in anything?” She smiled and walked over to the woman.
“It’s alright dear. Have you seen my daughter? I haven’t seen her all morning.”
“I last saw her in her chamber with her little one.” She paused and looked at Gabby. “Would you like some company?”
“Yes dear. I’d like it very much.”

Lola set Will down in his crib after feeding him. She covered the sleeping child and turned to leave.
“Oh god. You scared me.” She gasped as she ran into Max’s chest. He smiled and wrapped his arms around her.
“Good morning m’lady. Sorry about this morning. We didn’t want to wake you.”
“Mmm, it’s ok. Where were you two?” She kissed him and walked with him out of the room.
“Just going over some of the royal stuff. Lola, there’s so much we are responsible for. I’m not sure I can handle it. There’s peace treaties, alliances, so many laws and policies. You know there are other planets we work with? There’s Detor, Junvhi, and so many other ones I can’t even pronounce. Hold me.” He pouted and lowered his head on her shoulder.
“Poor Prince. Awe look who comes. And judging by the look on his face, he’s gonna need my other shoulder.

Zan treaded up to them his shirt half undone and sleeves all rolled up. His hair was half combed back, half spiked up. He almost stomped the remainder of the way.
“Rough morning?” Lola asked.
“Rough everything. Yo make some room.” He moved Max aside and held on to Lola.
“Hey.”
“Now, now boys. No fighting. There’s enough of me to go around.” She teased.
“Not nearly enough. Let’s go back to our room. Please.” Max whined. He and his brother each taking one of her hands and leading her to their chamber.

“I don’t think we should right now. I mean. They never leave us alone very long. They’ll come looking for us.” Lola tried to pull away from them, but they didn’t relinquish their hold.
“We’re royalty. They’ll keep. Come on baby. We’ve never had to beg before.” Zan complained.
“Yeah Lola. This place is interrupting with our sex life. We’ve made love, what, like five times since we got here. We’ve been here more than a month. That’s not right.” Max insisted. He and Zan worked together on removing Lola’s clothing.
“If you insist.” Lola sighed and removed all their clothing.

“So dear, where is your family?” Gabby asked the young servant.
“I, uh…I…my family is gone. They were killed in the uprising. I was the only one left. I was taken in here.” She sighed.
“Oh. I’m sorry. I didn’t know.”
“It’s alright. I should get back to work now.” Vilondra smiled and walked away.
Gabby watched as she quickly walked away and disappeared behind a corner.

The trio lay in bed, a mess of tangled limbs on the silk sheets. Their breaths synchronized. Clothes laying in a haphazard heap on the floor. Smiles covering their faces.
“Mmm, I so needed that.” She purred.
“Oh yeah.” Zan ran a finger down her arm down to her hip.
“I’ve missed this.” Max sighed inhaling her afterglow. He rested his arm across her stomach. They laid quiet until an insistent knock disrupted their bliss.

“Who is it?” They called out.
“It’s Dom. Mayla’s brother. Will your majesties please come out?” He asked respectfully.
“Agh, go away.” Zan complained into his pillow.
“We’ll be right out.” Lola answered. “Come on you two. Duty calls.” She sighed and extracted herself from their embrace. They got dressed and left the room.

“I’d thought you’d might want to learn of the results our specialists came up with regarding the visitation of humans on the planet.” He filled them in as the walked into the large lab. “We’ve tested on some samples to see if our atmosphere is safe for humans to breathe in. It turns out our environment is not that all different from that of Earth. Our air contains most of the same property as Earth’s oxygen. They’d have to get a couple of vaccines to be able to adjust, but other than that we find no problem in them being able to come.” He showed them the paperwork with all the results of the tests and they smiled.
“So Dee and Miguel can come?” Lola grinned.
“I don’t see why not.” Dom smiled back and gave the paper back to another specialist.

They gathered back in the large communications room around the table. The screen flicked on and an image appeared.
“You know you should really add a ringer to this. What if me and Miguel were getting it on?” Dee’s voice came through. Her face expressed surprise and mock frustration. Miguel appeared beside her soon after.
“Hey guys. I just wanted to give you two the good news. You can come after all. Isn’t that great?”
“That’s great girl. When?”
“Whenever you two want. All you’d have to do is get a few shots.” Lola laughed as Miguel grimaced.
“What you complaining about? You got three tats.” Zan spoke.
“And as you recall he cried like a baby.” Dee added. “Are you sure it’s safe for me to go? I mean, with my condition and all? Won’t those drugs affect my baby?” Her concern showing as she rubbed her stomach.
“I guess I didn’t think of that.” She sighed and turned to Dom.
“We’d have to run more tests. But seeing that we don’t have any human embryos to study on, there might be some trouble.” Dom confessed.
“So I guess we’d have to wait till you’ve delivered.”
“But I want you here. I need you girl. And we promised to be there for each other’s labor. You can’t break that.”

Part 40

Months had passed. Will was walking and talking up a storm. Lola, Max, and Zan had learned more about being in charge. They had come a long way in developing a system similar to Democracy in their time there. Many had disagreed at first saying that it was going against all of their tradition, but after some haggling and compromise they saw the light.

“So we’re agreed then? We will elect the person who we find the best to fit the position.” Max announced. The people around the table nodded in agreement.
“But your majesty, I still feel you three are in your capacity to keep rule. Why must we adopt a new way of politics after so many fruitful years of royal lineage?” One spoke out earning him many looks from the others.
“Please believe us. We are more than honored that you would love to have us continue rule, but we will not live up to your expectations. We assure you this new system will vastly improve the way Antar is run. We have little if not no knowledge of how to run a planet. By electing officials that know enough about controlling the government things will be a lot smoother.” Zan added. He had learned a lot and he was proud of himself.

“Very well. We will try this new system of yours and see how it goes. Now if you will excuse me, I must return to my side of the planet and inform the others of this new plan.” The man stood up, bowed and left the large conference room.

“Papi. Hungry.” Will motioned to Zan. Zan smiled and picked his son up from the tiny bed.
“So what do ya want buddy? We got a lot to choose from.”
“Uh…me want…candy!” The young child clapped and giggled.
“Candy ain’t food little man. Let’s see what we can get ya.” He walked into the large kitchen and searched through the many cabinets. He found some food that looked decent enough to eat and laid it on the table.
“Ok son we got, some green stuff, something red, these squishy things, and this…purple kind of stick thing.” Zan’s face wrinkled as he showed the food to Will.
“Perper! I want stick!” Will exclaimed.
“Now don’t be yelling that out Will. People might get the wrong idea.” Zan winked and handed the stick to his young son.

“Ok Dee is due in about three weeks. I want to be there with her. Can we do that?” Lola asked Dom. They had been working all morning on getting back to Earth.
“No problem Princess. You can leave as soon as tomorrow. We have to input the information needed to operate the Granolith. Location has to be pinpointed exactly or you might end up in some lake some where.” He smiled and handed the necessary paperwork to the other technology operators.

Max packed his things for the trip back to Earth. He was actually giddy about returning to his home away from home. He had missed the lack of responsibility he had left down there. He finished and patiently sat on his bed. Zan came in with Will in arms and sat him down with Max.
“He wanted his dad.” Zan scoffed and began to pack.
“Hey there son. What was it you wanted?” Max smiled warmly down at his son.
“Tell. How earth?” Will inquired.
“Again? I’ve told you every night how Earth is.”
“Again. I forget.” Will pouted. Max could never resist his son and began to tell his son about Earth. His son’s filled up with glee. He loved it when his dad talked about Earth. Being still very young when they left he didn’t remember much.
“…so now you get to see your Aunt Dee and Uncle Miguel.” Max finished and bounced his son on his knee.
“He play guitar.” Will said and strummed an imaginary guitar as Zan had taught him before.
“That’s right. Miguel is in a famous band on Earth. They really miss you and love you very much. Well let’s get you all packed up. You finish too Zan. We leave tomorrow morning.” Max warned his brother and left the room with Will.
“Finish up Zan. Finish up Zan. Kiss my ass Max!” Zan yelled out to his brother.
“Kiss my ass!” Will shouted back with laughter.
“No…uh…Little man don’t say what papi says!”

The final preparations were set. Lola, Will, Max , and Zan stood at the Granolith waiting for it to start up.
“One minute and you will be on your way back to Earth. Are you sure you’re all set?” Larek asked for the fifth time. The all sighed and nodded. The room was filled with the bright light and familiar humming and they all held hands. Lola covered Will’s eyes and they were off. As the light faded and the sound stopped the were all shocked to find Zan still standing there.
“What the fuck happened? Why am I still here?” Zan asked angrily.
“We have no idea. What went wrong?” Larek asked the others around them. They all shrugged and tried to see what could have gone wrong.

Lola opened her eyes first, satisfied when she recognized her surroundings.
“Lola!” Dee’s voice shouted. Her arms went immediately around her friend. “Oh Willy. Wow he’s so big.”
“Yeah. This is your Aunt Dee Will. Go say hello.” Lola smiled and handed Will to Dee.
“Yo Max my man. So good to see you. Hey, where’s Zan?” They all looked around.
“Oh my god, Max where’s Zan?”
“I don’t know. Zan! Zan stop playing around, where are you?” Max called out. No sign of Zan was found.
“Papi?” Will questioned and looked around for his father.

Zan paced around in his room. The others were still trying to find out what had gone wrong. To say that he was mad was an understatement. The man was fuming. He left the room and went back to the communications room.
“I want to see if they got there. If something went wrong here something could have gone wrong with them.”
“Prince Zan, our information says they made it to their destination.”
“And your information also said I should have gone through with them. Put up the screen.” Zan dared them to refuse him. They walked into the screen room and started it up. One minute later an image came through.

“Zan? Hey why aren’t you here?” Miguel’s face appeared on the screen.
“Are the other’s there?”
“Yeah, Lola, Will and Max are here. What happened?” Zan sighed in relief.
“Put them on.” Miguel disappeared and Max and Lola came on.
“Zan what happened baby?” Lola reached out her hand only to pull it back disappointedly. It was only a projection.
“I don’t know. They’re tryin’ to figure it out. You all ok. Nothing happened?”
“No, just you not being here. As soon as they find out what happened get your ass down here.” Max spoke. The image disappeared and Zan stood up.
“Figure it out.” He commanded and left the room.

Lola leaned into Max’s embrace. He kissed the top of her head and led her back to the others. She was worried something had happened to Zan but seeing him eased her nerves.
“He’s ok. Pissed, but ok.” She informed the rest.
“Well why isn’t the bastard here?” Dee asked. They all turned to her. “Sorry. Hormones.”
“He doesn’t know. They’re trying to see why.” Max sighed and sat down, bringing Lola down to sit on his lap. She sighed and picked Will up on hers.

“So when will your little bundle of joy join us?”
“The doc said in about a week. But I’m not too sure. She’s been having her share of false alarms the last couple of days. I’m guessing it’ll be sooner.” Miguel answered. Dee smiled and held on to her belly.
“A week. I thought you had three weeks. Do you know what it is?” Lola asked with a smile.
“It’s a girl. We’re naming her Samantha.” Dee smiled and took Miguel’s hand.
“Sam for short.”
“I’m guessing you were hoping it was Samuel.” Max added.
“I was at first, but I’m just fine with having a girl. A little princess, kinda like our Lola.” Miguel smiled.

Zan joined his parents and Gabby in the large eating area. Everyone was eating, except for Zan.
“Honey you have to eat. You haven’t eaten anything all morning.” His mother tried to get his attention but he continued to stare down his plate.
“Son. Son snap out of it.” His father called out to him giving him a mental pinch.
“Ouch. Hey what was that for?” He grabbed his arm smoothing the slight pain away.
“Your mother is talking to you. Stop moping around like a boy. You’re a man. Act like one.” His father told him and kept eating.
“Yes Zan. They’re ok. Once Dom and the others fix the problem you can go join them.” Gabby reminded him.
“Yeah, you right. Sorry.” Zan sighed and took a bite. “Agh it’s cold.” He made a face and put his fork down.
“Well that’s what happens when you sit there for ten minutes just watching it son.” His mother commented.

Dom, Larek, and Mayla worked in the large communications room. They were still unaware of what went wrong.
“Um, Dom. We found something.” One of the other operators came up to him.
“Well what is it?”
“It was sabotaged.”

LOL you have to keep reading to see what happened....

Part 41.

Sabotage. Everyone stopped what they were doing when the word was uttered.
“Sabotaged? As in someone did it on purpose? Why? Who?” Zan’s rage increased tenfold. Not only was he left behind but it was purposely. Someone had interfered so he wouldn’t go through with his wife, son, and brother. “Who?” He asked again.

“We…we don’t know wh…who Prince Zan. All I found was that the Granolith was tampered with prior the departure. Calculations were tampered with which is why only three were allowed to pass through.” The nervous technician stuttered. Zan towered over him considerable and he didn’t look in the mood to be at a lack of information.

“Zan calm down. It’s not his fault. We’ll find out who did it. OK, I want surveillance of everyone who has been in contact or around the Granolith before it’s operation.” Larek told the other operators. They hurried off to do as he had said and he followed Zan outside.

“Larek who could have wanted me to be left behind? Why me?” Zan paced. His mind was reeling with questions and possible dangerous scenarios.
“I don’t know Zan but we’re going to find out. So for now, even if you could go to Earth I think it would be better and safer for you to stay here. I know you want to be with Lola and the others but if it sabotage we are talking about the safety of you and your family could be in danger.”

“Pway guitar. Pway guitar!” Will chanted as he sat on Miguel’s lap.
“Nah you don’t want to hear me play. It’s nothing.” Miguel played it off but everyone knew he loved to show off his talent.
“Come on man, play for my son. Don’t make me sick him on you.” Max teased. He winked at Will and the young boy made both he and Miguel levitate off the seat.
“Ok, ok I’ll play. Damn for a little fellow he sure packs some power.” Miguel commented as he handed Will to Lola and went to retrieve his guitar.

“He didn’t really do that did he?” Dee asked. Max shook his head and laughed. “I thought so.” Dee winked and laughed as well.
“Ok so what do ya wanna hear?” Miguel asked as he re-entered the room, guitar in hand.
“Play something off your album.” Lola smiled.
“Nah I got something better in mind.” He smiled and strum his guitar.

“Turn out the light, just say goodnight to yourself. May I remind you ,when you find you’re all alone, it’s when you, you’ve got to be strong. That’s when they call you in the night. He’s got your picture in his mind. He’s got your number on a paper at his disposal anytime. Is it really true? Can you save yourself for someone who loves you for you? So many times we just give it away to someone who, some one who, you met in a bar, the back of a car. And for a moment you felt important but not in your heart…” He sang with all his heart. Everyone could see the emotion in his playing.

Will sat in awe watching him sing and play his guitar. Lola held back tears as did Dee. They both cherished that song. Max held Lola close and kissed her forehead.

Miguel finished and put his guitar down. He looked at their faces and couldn’t read their expressions.
“You didn’t like it?” He asked when they still wouldn’t speak.

Will burst out first clapping and squealing. “Good!”
“It was beautiful Miguel, really. I just love that song so much.” Lola tried to explain as she wiped the tears away.
“Yeah baby. You know we love that song. Just to hear you play it and express so much through it was powerful. That’s why you’re my rock star.” Dee smiled and kissed her husband.
“Yeah man. I have to admit that was awesome.” Max complimented.
“Whoa. Thanks.” Miguel blushed and tried to hide his state. “Any more requests?”

Mayla wandered out into the palace gardens. Her eyes and hands were strained from trying to analyze all the information from the supposed sabotage of the Granolith. The suns were bright, and a light breeze surrounded her. She walked to a small bench and sat looking out into the landscape. The sounds of crying interrupted her peace and she looked trying to find its source.
“Vilandra?” She spotted the young girl and walked over to her. “Child are you alright?” She knelt down and placed a hand on her shoulder.
Vilandra jumped at the touch and almost fell over.
“What’s wrong?” Mayla asked again as the young servant tried to regain her composure.

“I’m alright, really. Just thinking.” She wiped at her eyes trying to hide any signs of tears.
“You can talk to me Vilandra. Why were you crying?” Mayla sat down beside her on the soft ground. Vilandra played with her hair trying to cover her face.
“Nothing. I need to get to work.” She stood up quickly and ran back into the palace. Mayla just watched as she ran off. She sat there confused by the girl’s actions but chose to let her go. She obviously didn’t want to talk about what ever was bothering her. She sighed and continued to look out into the distance.

Zan got tired of just standing around powerless to do anything. He looked down at himself and took in his appearance. He hadn’t shaved and he hadn’t showered either. He went to his chamber, gathered some clean clothes and proceeded to the bathroom to wash up.

He turned on the water and waited till a layer of steam covered the air above him before stripping down and entering the shower. He stood under the stream letting it coat him with the soothing water. Getting a wicked grin on his face he opened his connection with Lola. He let her know he was in the shower. He smiled in satisfaction with her desire came crashing back to him in waves. He could feel her petite hands run over his naked body.

“Lola, babe. You ok?” Dee questioned when her friend’s composure changed.
“Um yeah. Fine. I’m going to….uh…use the bathroom.” She handed Will to Max and made a mad dash to the restroom. Max gave her a suspicious look wondering why she moved so hastily. He opened his connection and could sense Zan’s presence. He frowned but closed it again leaving them alone.

Zan braced himself holding on the shower railing. He plugged the tub and slid down until he was half submerged in the hot water. He bit his lips trying to keep his moans off pleasure to a minimum. Her hands were all over him creating such pleasure that he squirmed in the water. He reached out his own mental hands to her letting her know just how much he wanted to be with her. He could hear her moans in his mind and relished in them.

Lola sat on the toilet closing her eyes. She could feel Zan’s hands working their magic on her already heated skin. She could almost smell him there with her even though they were a planet apart. She had to cover her mouth a couple of times to keep from screaming out in pleasure when he would find her spots.

‘Oh princess, I want you so bad. I wish I was there with you.’ He thought to her.
‘Me too baby. We’ll be together again soon, I promise. Then we could do this for reals.’
“Oh but we are doing this for reals babe.’ In that moment she could feel his manhood at the entrance of her center. She gasped at first but then opened her legs allowing him entry.

He could feel her warm walls close around him and could touch her slick skin. Her hands dug into his shoulders as she rode him through space. ‘That’s it princess. Don’t stop now. Please don’t stop now.’ His eyes were now shut tightly and sweat trickled down his face. He could feel his climax building up inside of him. He didn’t want to finish before her so he added more incentive.

Her head was thrown back in ecstasy as she could feel his hands on her hips urging her to go faster and faster. She could feel his penis banging into her with such fury she was surprised she hadn’t passed out just yet.

He could feel her walls clamping down around him and her orgasm washing over her. He kissed her mentally and let himself go within her soon after, thrusting into her a few more times.
‘Thanks babe. I love you.’ He sent out to her.
‘I love you too Zan. Now I have to fix myself up before I can go outside and face my friends. I’m pretty sure they heard me.’ He could sense her blush and kissed her one more time.
‘I’ll let you go then. Tell them it was my fault.’ He opened his eyes and pulled the drain. He turned to water back on and continued to wash himself.

Lola fixed herself up the best she could and went out to the living room.
“I will be sending you my cleaning bills later. Tell Zan I will so kick his ass when he gets here. Oh and you are so paying for my poor husband’s therapy bill.” Dee commented when she walked in. Lola tried to hide her face. She looked over at Miguel and could see him rocking himself with his hands over his ears.
“Oh come on, it’s nothing you’ve never heard before.” Lola laughed as she sat next to Max taking his hand.
“I’ve heard it but never from my friend. I will say though, the man has got talent if he can’t through that from millions of miles away. Still I so did not have to hear it. I pee in there.” Miguel cringed and continued his rocking.

Zan dried himself off and got dressed. He certainly felt ten times better then he had before his shower. He picked up his towel and opened the door.
“Oh shit!” He yelled when he discovered the girl he called Lonnie standing behind the door. “Fuck. I mean I’m sorry. Yo you scared me Lon.”
“I’m sorry my prince. I thought you needed something. I could hear you from across the hall.” She admitted. Zan turned five different shades of red.
“Shit I’m sorry. I guess I’m a bit loud. Are you ok?” He could see the tears marks that still showed on her cheeks.
“Yes.” She answered a little too quickly.
“You sure? It looks like you’ve been cryin’” He stepped closer and touched her cheek gently. The tender touch made her cry all over again and she fell into his arms. “Yo Lons what is it? What happened?” But the young girl wouldn’t talk, just cried against his chest. He felt her sorrow hitting him and he couldn’t help but want to help the poor girl. “Yo you want to go someplace and talk. I won’t say nothin’ I promise.” She looked up at him through her tears and simply nodded.
He smiled down at her and walked with her.

They walked out into the garden. Zan spotted Mayla laying down on a patch of grass.
“I’ll be right back. Don’t go anywhere.” He told Vilandra. She nodded and stood by as Zan walked over to Mayla. “Yo. Yo May. You asleep?” She opened her eyes and shook her head.
“No just trying to get my strength back. Why? What’s wrong?” She asked and stood up.
“Nothing really. I just found Lonnie and she was all cryin’. I told her we could talk out here alone. So do ya mind?” Mayla looked behind him and saw Vilandra fidgeting and shifting on her feet.
“Sure. No problem. I’ll just be inside.” She smiled and left them. Zan motioned to the girl to come over and they sat on the small bench.

“So why don’t you tell me what’s wrong Lons?”
“I don’t want to trouble your majesty.” She answered. Her hands trembled and she bit her bottom lip. He couldn’t help but remember when Lola was that fragile and vulnerable.
“Come on kiddo, tell ole Prince Zan what’s the matter.” When she remained silent he took her hand.

He was nearly thrown from the bench from the barrage of images he received from her. Flashes of her in a small white room. Flashes of her being strapped down on a small table with men in lab coats poking and cutting her. Images of her in a cell being raped by a larger, scarier man. Flashes of her being thrown out like garbage and having to learn that her family was killed by the same people that had tortured her.

He let go of her hand and looked at her in horror. How could someone hurt someone so innocent and young.
“Please don’t tell anyone.” She pleaded and ran off.
“Wait. Lonnie wait!” He yelled out after her.

Thanx again for sticking with this fic.
I'll be posting more regularly just to get through this faster.

Part 42.

Lola put the sleeping Will on Dee and Miguel’s bed and went back out with her friends. They were all now outside in the back yard while Miguel prepared the BBQ.
“Move over you puny human.” Max teased and pushed Miguel aside.
“Hey you may be some hotshot Alien king, but this is still my home.” Miguel said as he tried to regain control of his grill. The more taller and stronger alien just laughed as the thinner, shorter human tried to snatch back the sauce brush.

“Now, now boys no playing around fire.” Dee shouted as the two continued to fight over the BBQ.
“Come on Max let Miguel cook.” Lola tried to defend her friend.
“But he’s doing it all wrong. And I can prepare it much faster than he can. We can be eating right now instead of in an hour.” Max complained. Miguel saw his moment and pushed Max out of the way. Max came crashing to the ground with Miguel laughing seizing control again.
“Hey man.”
“Don’t mess with my grill.”

Zan tried to find Vilandra but could not in the large palace. She just got up and ran before he could even react to what he had seen. He had simply touched her hand in hopes of getting her to trust and talk to him when the images invaded him. He felt sick to his stomach with what they had done to the poor girl. She was so young and innocent and they had violated her.

“Have you seen Lonnie?” He asked everyone he could. They all just shook their head or directed him to the last place they had seen her. But she was gone. Going back to his room he threw himself on the bed and tried to get the horrific scenes out of his mind. He only got angrier as the images kept replaying in his mind. When he touched her he could feel everything they had done to her. They had hurt her so much, physically and mentally. It was a surprise she wasn’t at all more showing of her feelings.

His head was starting to hurt from the assault and his eyelids closed. He fell asleep quickly, but he could not escape the images.
Lonnie was tossed into a cold dark cell. She didn’t know where she was or even why. She was ripped from her home by strangers and taken to a scary place. They left her alone the first day leaving her to come up with possible situations. The very next day they tore into her cell and strapped her to a table. She cried and screamed but they just ignored her. They didn’t bother drugging her as they stabbed through her skin. They tortured her for hours making demands she couldn’t understand. They didn’t stop until she passed out from the pain.

Days passed with the same treatment. Endless hours of pain and hate. Finally at night they would throw her back into her cell. Then one night as she tried to cry herself to sleep she heard the metal door open.

A tall man entered the cell quietly and locked it behind him. She closed her eyes tight and pretended to be asleep, but he knew she wasn’t. She felt him grab the thin cover that she clung to and pull it away from her. She tried to scream but found her voice gone. She tried to run away but she couldn’t Her body wouldn’t move as the man came down to her. His rough hands touching her in places she knew were wrong. The tears stung her cheeks as the man continued to touch and kiss her. He waved his hand over her removing the torn and bloody clothes she was wearing. She laid naked beneath him and then he too hovered naked above her.

She shook her head trying to convey him to stop but he simply laughed and thrust painfully into her. In a second her purity and childhood was ripped away. She forgot how long he abused her before pulling away from her and getting dressed. He made her clothes appear again and gave her back her voice and ability to move. But she didn’t scream or run. Instead she just curled up and cried against the cold hard bed as the man spit and exited the cell.

Zan tossed in his sleep while tears of pain streamed down his face. He wanted to wake up so badly. To stop seeing her being hurt so bad. A light touch on his shoulder finally brought him out of the dream as he sat up quickly. He opened his eyes to find the young girl before him. She looked so lost and in so much pain.
“Lons?” He reached out for her but she stepped away from him. “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“How could I your Majesty? How was I going to tell you what those men did to me? How could I possibly approach you and tell you such things that are obviously torturing you as well? I never told anyone. Not even when they found me wandering the streets in my torn, bloody rags. I wouldn’t talk. Not even when the House of Antar took me in after they found out my entire family was killed. I kept my silence. I never told a living soul. But now you know.” She lowered her eyes from his stare. She couldn’t take his insistent gaze. She felt dirty.

“Lons, you can tell me anything. You hear me? Anything. Come here.” He reached out his hand again and waited for her to take it. She reached out nervously and grasped his hand. Tears wracked through her again as he pulled her to him. He sat her down beside her and held her as she cried violently against him. He couldn’t control his tears either as he let them stream down his face. “I won’t let anyone hurt you again. And I will find who did this to you.”
“No, no your Majesty. You….you can’t. Just…just let it be. I don’t want anyone to find out about me.” She tried to pull away from him but he wouldn’t let her.
“No one will find out. I’ll make sure those sons of bitches pay for what they did to you Lons.”

“Now I got to admit, that was some mighty fine BBQ.” Max commented as he rubbed his full stomach.
“Yeah you outdid yourself this time Miguel.” Lola agreed.
“That’s my baby. Now come on hun, come enjoy your victory.” Dee smiled and waved her husband over. Miguel beamed and walked over to the others.
“Shit!” He tripped and fell flat on his face. Everyone started laughing as he tried to get up.

“Um Dee it wasn’t that funny.” Max commented as he observed Dee wet her pants. “That’s gross.”
“Uh oh. That wasn’t because I was laughing. My water broke.” Dee gasped.
“Oh my god. Dee are you sure?”
“Pretty sure.” Miguel got up and rushed to his wife’s side.
“Uh so we should go to the hospital now huh?” He helped her stand up and they walked into the house.

They got all her things ready to go and called ahead to the hospital.
“It’s going to be ok Dee. Relax.” Lola tried to calm her friend.
“Relax? I was there for your labor Lola. I know how it’s going to be. Oh god it’s going to hurt like hell isn’t it? Oh god I’m gonna die.” Dee began to panic. They helped her into the car and rushed to the hospital.

They arrived with a few close calls. They were met by a nurse waiting in a wheelchair.
“Don’t leave me. Ooooohh! Ok that hurt. What was that? Oh god that was my first contraction. That was the very first one and it hurt. Oh god it’s only going to get worse.”
“Dee, baby relax. Breathe. Remember the classes, find your focal point and breathe. Breathe.” Miguel coached. They wheeled her into the lobby and signed her in.
“Miguel I swear if you say ‘breathe’ one more time I will….ooohhh. It hurts!” She cringed and held her stomach. They wheeled her into a room, leaving Max, Lola and Will out in the lobby.
“I think watching me have Will has traumatized her.” Lola sighed.
“Well she did watch you yell, scream, curse, hit and did I mention scream?” Max teased. “She’ll be fine.”

“Aaaahhhh!!” Dee screamed as another contraction washed over her. She was coated in sweat with her legs up on stirrups. Her hands frantically grabbed Miguel’s. He felt each contraction she went through as her grip increased each time that he felt she would snap his wrist.
“Dee, love let up on my hand sweetie.”
“Let up? Let up? How about you make this kid let up huh? Each damn contraction feels like she’s trying to claw her way out.” She shot back. She held her breath as another painful contraction hit her. “Oh god!! Drugs. Give me drugs!”
“Mrs. Hahn you said you wanted a natural child birth.” The nurse reminded her.
“That was before I knew how much it would hurt. Now hit me up!”

Back on Antar Zan met with Larek, Mayla and Dom in the communications room. He had talked with Vilandra and promised her he would make the men that hurt her pay.
“Do you know of any groups who kidnapped innocent girls?” Zan asked the three.
“I suppose there were some during the revolution. Many men, women, and children were kidnapped as hostages. Why?”
“I just want some information on the groups. Do you know of any who kept young girls in cells?” He stopped to breathe, trying to keep himself focused and not go off.
“Well some groups had camps which I assume had cells, but I don’t know of any particular groups who only took young girls. Why do you ask?” Larek inquired. Mayla looked up at Zan and held back a gasped. She guessed this has something to do with Vilandra and why she was crying. Zan nodded and turned to Dom.
“Dom where were you held?”
“I was held in a prisoner camp. Only people there were those who Khivar’s men caught in battle. I didn’t see any women, or young women at that.” He responded trying hard not to recall what he’d been through.
“Zan if you want the information of the camps we caught just ask. If you had one in particular in mind I’m going to need a little more information.”
“The thing is…I don’t know. Just give me all the information you have please. I’m sorry I can’t tell you more. It’s personal.”

Max walked to the cafeteria to get some coffee when he felt Zan’s connection.
‘Max, bro can you hear me?’ He heard his brother’s voice.
‘Yeah Zan. What’s the matter? Dee’s in labor.’
‘Yeah? Wow, well that’s great, I guess. Look I have to tell ya something. Is Lola with ya?’
‘No she’s in the lobby. I came to get some coffee. What’s wrong? Did you find out what went wrong?’ He could sense hid brother’s tension.
‘Yeah.’ There was a pause and Max got worried. ‘It was sabotaged bro. Someone played around with the Granolith and that’s why I’ still here. That’s why I’m talking to ya through here. Someone could be playing with the communications too.’
“Shit.” Max said out loud and earned himself a few looks from other hospital visitors and staff. He shrugged and walked over to an empty hall. ‘Zan who did it?’
‘We don’t know who yet. That’s why I haven’t gone over. They said it’s safer if I stay here. Look something else happened.’ Zan paused.
‘What?’
‘I shouldn’t be telling ya but I have to talk to someone. I didn’t want to upset Lola so it’s you. That girl Lonnie, well, she’s been through hell and back bro.’ Zan told him all about the torture he saw and what he was doing to help her. Max couldn’t help but get angry himself.
‘Ok Zan do what you have to do. I’m behind you all the way. Damn what kind of sick bastards do that? I thought that shit only happened in the movies.’
‘Well looks like Antar got its creeps too. Look I gotta go. I can’t keep this up much longer. I’ll try again later. Tell Dee and Miguel congrats from me and sorry I couldn’t be there. Take care bro. Tell Lola and Will I love ‘em..’ And with that the connection faded and Zan was gone.

Max walked back to the lobby with two cups of coffee and some crackers for Will.
“Thank you Max.” Lola smiled and took her coffee. She handed Will the crackers and handed him to Max. “What?” She asked as she observed his distracted state.
“Nothing. Zan talked to me. Said he couldn’t make it after all.” He hated not telling her the truth but he didn’t want to worry her.
“Why not?”
“They haven’t found out the problem, so he’s stuck there. So…how do you think Dee and Miguel are doing?”

“Get her out!” She screamed for the fiftieth time. Her hands were now tangled in Miguel’s collar and almost choking him.
“Ma’am this may take a few hours. You’re not fully dilated yet.”
“I don’t care. Just reach in there and yank her out. Oouuuhh! Baby why are you hurting your mommy?” She asked her still unborn, and very stubborn daughter.
“Dee…” Miguel started but Dee stopped him by puling on him harder.
“You…don’t speak to me. You got me into this mess. So for the rest of this painfully delivery I don’t want to hear you ok?” She stared at him and he nodded.

Mayla caught up to Zan and stopped him.
“Zan that was about Vilandra wasn’t it?” He simply nodded. “They hurt her?” He nodded again keeping his emotions back. “I want to help.”
“Ok, but I can’t tell you what happened. She would be embarrassed if I did.”
“It’s ok. I just want to help.”
“Alright.”

Sorry for the delay. This is my last week of class and then finals.

Part 43

Dee was finally in her home stretch. After seven and a half hours it was finally time for Samantha Hahn to join the world of the dysfunctional.
“Ok Dee I’m going to need you to push when I say and stop when I say ok? You still up for it?” The doctor looked up at her as he sat between her very much spread legs.
“I more than ready. Just tell me when.” She said relieved that it was finally going to be over soon. She could feel the tension building up and waited for the doctor’s signal.
“Ok Dee one big push.” He told her and bent down. Dee pushed with all her might almost biting through her bottom lip. Miguel had helped sit her up and she still held his hand in hers. His face showed as much pain as hers. “Ok now breathe. You’re doing great.”
“How much longer doc?” Miguel asked. He could see how tired his wife looked and chose to ignore her ‘no-talking’ rule for the moment.
“It shouldn’t be much longer. OK Dee push one more time.”

Lola nervously paced in the lobby. Will had fallen asleep in Max’s arms and she had heard no word since an hour ago when Miguel came out of the delivery room to inform them. She kept glancing at her watch.
“Lola sit you’re making me dizzy. She’s ok.” Max assured her. He had watched her pace the whole two hours straight.
“I’m just nervous. I should be in there.” She ran her finger’s through her hair.
“You know you can’t Lola. Please sit down.” Lola sighed and sat beside him taking his free hand.
“I love you.”

Zan and Mayla sat around the table looking the papers Larek had supplied them with. All records of the camps that were captured after Khivar’s troops were rounded up. They had names and dates of every one in the camps.
“Zan I found something.” Zan looked up at her as she lifted a paper to him. He looked it over and found Vilandra’s name on it.
“This is it?”
“Yes. It says she was there for two months. Two months.” She choked up and tried to compose herself. Zan kept looking the paper over and over. How could no one know about her?
“Where are the names of the men in charge of the camp?” He asked and she handed him another paper. “This is it? There has to be more.”
“That’s just the list of those who were caught. There are some others out there that managed to escape.” She told him. He closed his eyes and tried to look for any clues which could help their search. The only man he could even make out was the one that took her innocence away. One clear feature was a marking on his chest. It looked like a tattoo. A symbol he couldn’t recognize. He took a paper and tried his best to draw it.
“What’s that?” Mayla asked as he finished.
“This was on one of the bastards that had her.” He handed her the paper and watched as her eyes widened. “What? What is it?”
“It’s…that’s an Antarian seal Zan. It’s one of our men.”

“Ok one big push. I can see her head.” The doctor announced.
“Come on baby, you’re almost there. She’s almost out.” Miguel coached. She took a deep breath and pushed. The sounds of crying filled the room and sound of congratulations.
“Congratulations, you have a beautiful baby girl.” The doctor smiled and handed the baby to a nurse.
“Can I see her?” Dee asked as she tried to see her child.
“We’re just cleaning her up. There you go.” The nurse came back and placed Samantha in Dee’s arms.
“She’s beautiful. Look daddy.” Dee smiled up at Miguel. He couldn’t hold back the tears as he looked down at his daughter. She was so small and fragile.
“Hey there Sam. I’m your daddy.” He touched her little cheek and watched as she yawned.
“Ten fingers and ten toes.” Dee said aloud as her daughter grabbed her finger. “I love you Miguel.”
“I love you Dee. And you too Sam.”

Max and Lola stretched and yawned in the now uncomfortable lobby chairs. A very happy Miguel came running toward them.
“She’s here. My daughter’s here. She’s beautiful.” He exclaimed. Many people in the lobby congratulated him and Max and Lola stood up.
“She’s here? Ooh can we see her? How’s Dee?” Lola hugged her close friend.
“Dee’s fine. Tired but ok. You can see Sam in a few minutes. They need to finish cleaning her up and they they’ll put her in the baby viewing room. Can you believe it? I’m a dad.” He exclaimed again.
“That’s great my man. I’m happy for you. I know you’ll be a great father.” Max hugged Miguel and they all walked to the viewing room.

They all waited for Samantha to arrive.
“Oh there she is.” Miguel said as he saw the nurse carrying her in. She laid her in the small crib and wheeled her over to the window.
“Samantha Hahn. 8lbs. 5oz.” Lola read aloud. “She’s precious.” The baby yawned and bunched her tiny fists.
“She’s beautiful.” Max sighed.
“Look buddy. That’s you new best friend. Say hi to Sam.” Miguel lifted Will up to the window and pointed to his daughter.
“Hi Sam.” Will waved at the small baby and blew her a kiss. A small smile appeared on the baby’s face.
“Wow you see that. She likes you already Will.” Lola commented.

Zan had walked away from Mayla when she told him that the man that had abused Vilandra was one of their own. He couldn’t believe it. He had thought all along that it was one of Khivar’s men that hurt her. Never did he suspect that it would be someone on his side.

He left the palace despite warnings from others and decided he needed to walk and clear his mind. He walked down the dirt path that led to the first village they had visited. People were out and about working or just talking with their neighbors. He saw the small children running around and laughing with one another.
“Hi mister.” Zan looked down to see a little girl pulling at his pants.
“Hey kiddo. What’s your name?” He asked as he kneeled down to her height.
“Shindra. What’s yours?” She asked back with a bright smile.
“My name’s Zan.”
“You’re very pretty.” She said and blushed. Zan couldn’t help but blush as well from the innocent compliment.
“Thanks. You’re very pretty too. What were you playing?” He asked. They little girl took his hand and led him to where other children were playing. They were all in a circle with a ball in the middle. Each child took turns lifting the ball with their ability and leading it to the next.
“Revo, you did it again!” One child yelled to the little boy who had made the ball burst.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to.” He started to cry and Zan went up to him.
“Leave him alone guys. I used to do that too…a lot when I was a kid.” He told them and patted the boy on the back. He felt the other little girl pulling at his pant leg again and he gave her back his attention.

“Do you want to see my dolly?” She asked him. He simply smiled and took her hand as she led him to a house down the road. He stopped at the front door not wanting to go in but she pulled him further. He could smell someone cooking and could hear fire crackling in what he guessed was the kitchen.
“Shindra? It that you baby? It’s time to…eat.” The girl’s mother came out to where they stood and dropped the dish she was holding when she saw Zan.
“Your highness.” She quickly kneeled and lowered her head.
“Mommy, this is my new friend Zan.” The little girl went up to her mother and pointed at him.
“Please get up. I don’t like it when people kneel. I’m no one special. Please get up.” He asked her again and she slowly rose to her feet.
“Why is your highness here?” She asked a little uneased that the Prince of Antar was standing in her home.
“Your daughter wanted to show me her doll.” He told her and the little girl went to retrieve it.
“Please take a seat. Would you like anything to drink, eat?”
“No thanks. Please, relax, I’m just visiting.” He smiled again.
“This is my dolly. Isn’t she pretty?” The little girl held out her doll handing it to him.
“Very pretty.”

“Pretty.” Will said as Dee held her daughter in her arms.
“Yes Will. She’s very pretty. How are you doing girl?” Lola asked her friend.
“As well as I can be. This little one put up quite a fight coming out. How did you sneak Will in here? They don’t allow children in here.” She questioned them.
“A little alien magic. They never saw him walk in.” Lola winked.

“Well, I should get back now. I’m sure they’re all worried by now. Bye. Bye little Shindra.” He bent down and placed a kiss on the girl’s cheek.
“Bye Zan!” She yelled as he left the home. “He was nice huh momma?”
“Yes sweetheart.”

It was getting dark now as Zan made his way back to the dirt path.
“Sorry.” He said as he bumped into someone ahead of him. He tried to walk past the person but they stayed in his way. “Excuse me.” He said a little agitated, but the figure wouldn’t move.
“You really shouldn’t be out here amongst those lower than yourself Prince.” The voice told him. Zan tried to walk around him again but he still blocked his path.
“Listen duke, I really need to get back up there, so move.” He told him now angry. He towered the other man.
“My Prince, just remember your place. We wouldn’t want anything to…happen to you.” The other man sneered.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Zan asked but just as he was about to get closer to the man he could see the familiar glow coming from the man’s hands. The blast hit him on his right shoulder and he came crashing back into a tree.

“What’s wrong baby? Will what’s wrong?” Lola asked as Will started crying hysterically.
“Papi!” He screamed out.
“Will what is it? What happened to papi?” Max asked as his son continued to cry. The young boy grabbed his right shoulder in pain. Max reached out and touched his son.
“Zan’s in trouble.”

I feel bad that I forgot about this fic.
Don't stone me please

Part 44

Max and Lola took a cab back to Miguel and Dee’s house. Miguel stayed behind too stay with his wife but told him he’d show up later. Will was still crying when they arrived. They inspected him and found no injuries.
“What do you think happened?” Lola asked through tears. Not only was her child in pain but Zan could be in trouble.
“I don’t know. Maybe he tried to connect with Zan when something happened. Let me try and close it.” Max held his son’s face and concentrated on closing his connection. He could feel Will’s pain and closed the connection. “There.” He slumped against the couch and Will’s cries became soft whimpers.
“Baby what happened to papi?” She asked as she dried his tears.
“Papi hurt. Cold, dark, scary.”

Zan’s eyes slowly came into focus. He opened his eyes only to find darkness. He tried to sit up but a sharp pain in his shoulder prevented him from lifting himself up. All around him was cold concrete. He slumped up against the hard wall and tried to get his bearings. All he could remember was heading back to the palace after visiting the young girl Shindra.

“You brought him here? Are you insane? What were you thinking?” He could hear a man outside of what now saw was a cell.
“I was thinking that we could finally get him out of the way. I thought that’s what you wanted.”
“I do, but now is not the time. How can you be so stupid?” Zan could hear the slam of a door and retreating footsteps.

Zan held his palm over his wound and healed himself. He could hear footsteps approaching the cell and slumped back on the floor.
“Well my prince. Looks like the Governor called, as you say on Earth.” The man stood over him. Just as Zan was about to jump up and blast him he fell back into darkness.

Will finally settled to sleep. It had taken him an hour to relax and finally rest.
“Max I can’t feel Zan.” Lola told him. She had tried to connect with Zan but was met with darkness.
“We couldn’t get to you when Khivar had you. It was like there was something there blocking it. But you were unconscious so that’s why we couldn’t connect with you.” He assured her.
“But why would he be unconscious in the first place. What’s going on Max?” She was now panicking. She could see a strange look pass Max’s face. “What is it Max? There’s something you’re not telling me.”
“Yes. Back in the hospital, when I went to go get us some coffee, Zan contacted me. He told me that the Granolith was tampered with which is why he got stuck back there. They don’t know who did it, and they told him to stay.”
“Why didn’t you tell me? Why didn’t Zan tell me? You know I hate being left out of the loop. This was something serious and you choose to leave me out. How could you?” She stood over him her anger obvious on her face.
“I’m sorry Lola. Zan didn’t want to worry you. He asked me not to tell you. I know it was wrong.” He tried to explain but Lola was beyond listening.
“Zan is in trouble. We could be in trouble. Max I thought we had an open relationship, we have to go back now.”

Zan could feel his body being carried off. His eyes were too heavy to open but his hearing slowly came back to him.
“…I just found him outside the palace gates. I don’t know what happened.”
“He’s hurt.” He could hear the panic in their voices. He knew he was now back in the palace. “Wait, he’s opening his eyes. Your majesty are you ok?” They laid him on his bed and waited for him to speak.
“Yeah, I’m ok now.” He replied groggily. He tried to sit up but still being dizzy he laid back down.
“Prince what happened?”
“I was attacked coming back. I don’t know who it was but next thing I know I’m at a cell. Then I’m back here.” He sat up again this time staying up. “There’s still another camp out there. We have to find it and see who’s there.”

Max watched from the couch as Lola continued to fume with anger. He’d never seen her so mad in their relationship. He hated her being upset with him. He knew he should have been truthful with her since the beginning, but he didn’t want to worry her.
“Lola, babe, please don’t be angry wit me.”
“Max your brother is somewhere hurt out there. How can you not expect me to be upset? Aren’t you worried in the least about him. Don’t you care at all?”
“Of course I do. Lola, although at times we don’t seem it, I do love my brother. He’s my blood. I am just as upset as you are. He’s in trouble up there and I can’t do anything to help him. I mean we obviously still have enemies and he’s alone there. I wish I could go back right now.” His emotions got the best of him and he collapsed into Lola’s arms.

“What happened? Why did Will lose it in the hospital?” Miguel came through the door and took in the scene in front of him. “Is it bad? Is he ok?”
“Will’s fine, it’s Zan that’s in trouble.” She told him as max tried to regain his composure.
“Zan? Why, what happened?”
“Will tried to connect to him just as something happened. Zan is hurt up there.” She tried to hold back the tears.
“I am never going to get the hang of all this alien drama. What happened to Zan?” Miguel sighed and sat down.
“That’s the thing, we don’t know. We can’t contact him.”

“Papi!” They all ran to the room when they heard Will’s exclamation. He was jumping on the bed.
“Will what’s wrong with papi?” Lola picked him up.
“Papi ok. He said he ok.” He beamed. He took Lola’s hand and made the connection.
‘Thanks buddy. Hey princess. You miss me?’ Zan’s voice sounded in her mind.
“Oh Zan are you ok? We didn’t know what happened to you. I tried to get to you but I couldn’t. What happened?”
‘I was attacked. Some punk came out of no where. I’m ok now, I’m back at the palace. They had me for a while then I wake up here.’ He explained to her. He could sense her relief.
‘Who was it Zan?’ Max’s voice came through.
‘I don’t know bro. I didn’t really get a look at him. All I remember was the voices I heard. I was in a cell. One of them was pissed that I was there.’ He continued to explain the events to them. ‘Little man I’m sorry papi hurt you ok? I didn’t mean to. I didn’t know you had connected with me.’
“It ok papi. I miss you.” He said aloud.
‘I miss ya too buddy. I’ll see you soon though. I gotta go now. Bye.’ The connection faded and they all sat down on the bed.
“So you were talking to Zan?” Miguel asked after witnessing the whole event. He didn’t like when they pulled their telepathic alien stuff.
“Oh, yeah sorry about that Miguel. Yes it was Zan. He’s ok now. He was attacked apparently.”
“Attacked? Oh man. You three live the lives of super heroes. Look this is all too much for me today, so if you don’t mind I’d like to rest now.”

Zan slumped back on the bed. He had felt a pull on the connection earlier but was too weak and unconscious to respond to it. Then Will had worked his little mind through. It had surprised him at first but then he felt guilt for allowing Will to get hurt. It felt great being able to connect with Lola and even Max. He could feel their worry while they spoke. Finally sleep won him over and he closed his weary eyes.

He was not quite asleep yet when his chamber door slid open. Footsteps sneak across the room to where he laid in bed and stopped right at the foot. He tensed when the bed softly shifted beneath him, and he sprang up with outstretched arm.
“Holy shit Lons, you scared me. What’s wrong?” He lowered his hand as he saw the young girl sitting at the end of the bed. She had been crying because her eyes were red and puffy. She continued to look down at the sheets. “Lons.”
“I…I didn’t know where to go. I keep having nightmares and I thought…you said I could come to you and…so I came.” Her young face looked so torn and haunted. Tears began to form in her eyes as Zan just continued to look at her.
“I did say that, and I meant it. Come here. It’s ok.” He pushed the covers aside and let the fragile girl crawl under them. He tucked her in and got out of bed.
“No, Prince, this is your bed. I cannot possibly make you sleep out of it.” She tried to get up but he made her stay in bed.
“It’s Zan remember? Now don’t argue with me. Go to sleep. I’ll just be right here.” He sat down on a chair and watched as she closed her eyes and her breathing became even.
“Thank you Zan.” She sighed before finally falling to sleep.

Max watched as Lola and Will slept peacefully. They had gone to bed two hours ago and he felt content enough to just watch them. It was well past midnight and they full moon peeked through the windows. Miguel had left earlier saying that he couldn’t sleep without Dee. Lola and Will settled in his bed and soon after fell asleep. Max walked the entire length of the small house and back, always finding his way back to them. He was relieved that Zan was safe and back at the palace. The whole scenario of him being hurt had drained him but he still couldn’t sleep.
‘Can sleep huh?’ Zan’s presence made itself known.
‘Nope. How come you’re still up? I though you would be resting.’
‘You would think so huh? But I couldn’t. Lons had some trouble sleepin’ so she’s in my bed.’ Zan laughed when Max mentally gasped. ‘Relax she’s in it alone. I’m just sitting here watching her sleep. She wakes up sometimes and I gotta put her back to sleep. Damn bro this girl has gone through Hell.’
‘Yeah. Listen we’re coming back early. Make the preparations for two days from now. I want to go back and get things settled.’ Max looked over at his wife and son and sighed. Lola stirred lightly but settled back.
‘They sleepin’?’
‘Yeah.’
‘Do me a favor yeah. Let me see ‘em.’ Max knew what to do and allowed Zan’s essence to enter his body. Zan could see through Max’s eyes and slowly stood up. He walked over to Lola and gently stroked her arm. She smiled in her sleep. ‘I love ya baby.’ Came his soft whisper before turning to his son. Will was cradled in his mother’s embrace with his little thumb in his mouth. His lips were slightly parted with little traces of drool on his chin and cheek. He bent down and placed a kiss on his forehead in which the small boy fidgeted. He walked back over to the chair and left Max’s body. ‘Thanks man.’
‘No problem. Get some sleep Zan. You’ve been through a lot today, you need your rest.’
‘Yeah you right. But ya rest too Max. Lola needs ya. Goodnight bro.’ And with that both brothers broke their connection and drifted into sweet oblivion.

I figured I'd post another part to make up for the lack of posting.
This part was hard to write. I didn't know where I had wanted to go with the story but sometimes things just write themselves. Just a small warning

Part 45

Vilandra slowly opened her eyes and tried to focus her eyes. She could not remember where she was and ho she got there. Panic spread through her body and she clung to the sheets for support. She looked around the room and found a sleeping form on a chair. It was Zan. She breathed a sigh of relief as her memory began to come back to her. She had come there last night because her dreams wouldn’t let her rest. Zan let her stay and he had chosen to sleep in the chair. His body was now slumped low on the chair with his head bent uncomfortably back and his legs were spread. His right arm hung low on his hips while the other hung over the chair. She smiled when she noticed the small trail of drool that covered his cheek.

His head slowly bobbed up and she could see his discomfort. He grimaced and rubbed his sore neck.
“Hey.” He looked over at her and straightened up in the chair. He ran his hand over his sore limbs and smiled in satisfaction. “I love being alien.” He laughed as did she. “Did a sleep well?”
“Yes. Thank you for letting me stay here.” She yawned and stretched. Her shirt lifted a little revealing a scar on her stomach.
“Yo what was that?” He stood immediately and was at her side. She quickly covered the ugly scar but he had already seen it. “What is that?”
“Nothing. It’s just…it…” She was shaking and Zan reached for her.

He received an image of her in the small white room, strapped to a small, cold table. Men hovered above her with masks to cover their identity. Sharp instruments laid in a tray beside her and they shone with the bright light that hung from above. ‘Please don’t hurt me’ she pleaded but they continued on with their tasks. The sharp instrument penetrated her young skin. She screamed in agony but could not move under the restraints. They ignored her screams and kept piercing her skin.

Zan pulled back and stared at her in disbelief. She was in tears again and hid under the sheets.
“Lons, are you ok? Why haven’t you healed?” He pulled the covers away from her and sat her up.
“It hurts too much.” She told. He looked at her and wandered why she’d never told him she was in pain. “Not physically. It brings back too many bad memories. I just learned to live with them I guess.”
“How many scars do you have?”
“They practically cover my whole body. I don’t really count them.” She folded her sleeves to expose the scars on her arms. She reached down and pulled up the legs of her pajamas to show the scar on her legs. “There’re more on my back and front. I don’t really want to show those.” She blushed.

His faced remained serious as he saw the scars. Her young flesh was twisted and mangled into shades of pale pinks. Now he knew the reason why she was always covered up. She was covering up the pain and ugly marks. He took her arms and held his palm over it.
“Can I?” He asked and she nodded. She closed her eyes and turned her face. He closed his hand over her arms and concentrated on healing her.

The warmth spread within her and he moved his hand to her other arm. He finally healed the scars on her arms and legs. She looked down and saw her skin renewed and smooth. “Um, if you want I can heal the rest.” He told her. She looked down at her stomach and ran her hand over the scar. “I ain’t gotta look. I’ll close my eyes and everything.” He assured her. He closed his eyes and placed a hand over them. She removed her shirt and laid down on her stomach first. “Tell me when you ready.”
“I…I have my back first.” She told him. He slowly lowered his hand onto her back and healed the ruined flesh restoring it to normal. She then turned over, took his hand and placed it on the ugly scar on her stomach. That one took longer to heal than the rest since it had been the one most used while her captivity.

Zan pulled back and kept his eyes closed until she told him it was ok. He opened his eyes to find her smiling and admiring her healed skin.
“Thank you.”

Lola stretched and yawned as she woke up. Will still laid sleeping at her side. She looked over at Max finding him sleeping on a chair. She smiled as a small trickle of drool slipped from his partly opened mouth. His head was bent back and legs were spread. Both arms hung over the armrests of the chair. She slowly got out of bed and walked over to him. She placed her hand behind his neck and left her warmth spread through his neck.

His eyes opened and he lifted his head slowly. He was surprised when he found it not sore but then saw the cause of it.
“Hey there. Thanks.” He smiled and brought her down for a kiss.
“I figured it would hurt when you woke up? Why didn’t you just come to bed?”
“I guess I jut fell asleep. I was watching you two.” He confessed. He looked over at Will and smiled. “I told Zan to make preparations for us to go back in two days.”
“Ok. Dee should be home later today. I don’t think she’d like us leaving so soon but she’ll understand.” She sighed and sat on his lap. He enfolded her there and kissed her.
“Eew.” They looked up and Will was sitting with his tongue sticking out at them. “Yuck.”
“You won’t think it’s so yucky in a couple of years son.” Max told him and kissed Lola again.

Zan walked into the communications room and searched Dom out. He found him over with some of the other operators and called him over.
“Yes my Prince?” Dom makes his way over to him.
“Call me Zan, please. Can you set up the Granolith for the return of Max, Lola, and my son? They want to come back in two days.”
“Of course. I’ll get working on it immediately.” Dom smiled and went to tell the others.

“My love what’s the matter? I’ve been looking for you everywhere.” Larek walked up to Mayla and sat beside her. She was lying on one of the small benches outside the palace grounds. Her blonde curls covered her face and she was curled up into a ball. “Mayla? Love wake up.” He nudged her and her arm simply fell over the bench. “Mayla?!” He screamed as he pulled her hair away from her face to find her a bloody mess. He turned her body over to discover even more blood. Her clothes were completely saturated in the red liquid and her green eyes were pale and open. Larek collected her into his arms and carried her up into the palace.

“Someone, please help!” He called out when he finally collapsed inside the palace walls. Mayla’s blood covered him now as he laid her lifeless body down. Tears streamed down his face as he held her in his arms. He closed her eyes and placed a kiss on her blood stained lips. Guards came running up to them and stopped when they saw her. “Please, help her.” He pleaded but they simply stood there trying not to look down at the death. “Please!”
“There’s nothing we can do for her. It’s too late.”
“Zan! Zan please come! Zan!” He ignored them and called out. He couldn’t let her die. Even as he felt her essence gone he refused to just let her go.

Zan came running out to see what was behind all the yelling. He saw the crowd gathered in the large hall and he ran over to where they stood. He moved through all the gaping guards to discover Larek down on the floor cradling a dead Mayla. He’d never seen so much blood in all his life. Larek’s face had pain written all over it.
“Zan, please I know you can help her.” Larek pleaded to his friend. Zan got down on hi knees and could hardly look at Mayla. “Zan.”
“Larek, I…I don’t think I can do anything. I mean…there’s so much blood. She’s gone man.” Zan looked away unable to look at his friend.
“Please Zan. Try.” Zan reached down and reluctantly placed his hands on the lifeless body.

He concentrated on the damage she sustained and found too much to count. She had a lot of internal injuries not to mention the things that showed. All her vital organs were rendered useless. She had lost too much blood. He tried harder to try to repair the serious damage but ended up pulling back.
“I’m sorry Larek. There’s too much done. I’m sorry.”
“No, you have to try again. She can’t be gone. No not Mayla, not my love. No!” He pulled her back into his arms and tried to bring her back himself. “Mayla, my love, wake up. Please. You can’t leave me.”
“Larek, let go. You can’t help her.”
“Hey what’s going on?” They all turned to see Dom walking into the hall. “What’s everyone doing?” He walked closer but they tried to keep him back. “Hey what is it? Let me go.”
“Mayla!” Came Larek’s outcry. Dom broke free and ran toward them. When he saw Larek and his sister he fell to his knees.
“Mayla? Sister? What happened to her?” He yelled as he crawled up to her body.
“Dom, she’s gone.” Zan told him and tried to pull him up.
“Let me go. What happened to her?” He reached out and touched his sister once blonde hair now turned red.
“I found her out in the garden.” Larek replies while still cradling her and rocking back and forth. “Wake up love.”
“Mayla, sister it’s me, Dom, your brother. Sister open your eyes.” They both plead but all in vain. She’s gone. Zan just stood by as the two men sat on the floor with her dead body between them. They stayed like that for what seemed like hours. Just them crying and pleading for her to come back.

Part 46

Dee and Miguel arrived at their home that morning with their little Sam.
“She’s sleeping right now.” Dee told them. She knew her friend wanted to squeal in joy and hold the tiny baby. She handed Lola her daughter.
“She’s so tiny. Oh look Max.” Lola moved so that Max could see the tiny baby girl. “Isn’t she beautiful?”
“Yes she is. Looks just like her mommy. “
“Hey she looks like me too.” Miguel stepped up after helping Dee sit.
“Yeah she has his messed hair and cute ears.” Dee said.
“Yeah. She looks like the both of you. Here you go. Back to your mommy.” Lola gave Sam back to Dee. Will came from behind Max and settled on the sofa next to Dee. He smiled and waved to the baby.
“Do you want to hold her Will?” Dee asked him as she saw the wonder in his eyes.
“Can I?” She nodded and told him how to hold out his arms. She placed the tiny baby in his lap and helped him adjust her. “She’s pretty.” He said and placed a tiny kiss on her cheek. Samantha smiled a little in her sleep.
“Hey you saw that? I think she likes you Will.”

Back in the palace, Mayla’s body was finally retrieved from Larek and Dom and taken to the medical room. Larek walked the palace grounds like a zombie. His attention wasn’t on anything, he simply walked. Dom had retired to the communications room where he tried to work, but only found himself huddled in a corner crying.

Zan met with the security personnel trying to figure out how something like that could have happened on the grounds without anybody knowing about it.
“She was butchered, how could we have not heard anything? She was right outside the doors.”
“We don’t know. There are guards all over the palace, inside and out. Someone had to have seen something.”
“Unless it was someone here.” Zan made the statement causing everyone to turn to him.
“What do you mean Prince Zan? Are you saying that it was one of our men that did this?
“I don’t know if it was one of the guards, but what if it was someone on the inside? Mayla had told me something about possible corruption within the Antarian elite. We had discovered something disturbing earlier, and then I’m attacked. These things have to be connected.”
“What did you find out?” One guard asked.
“I can’t say everything because it will make a certain person uncomfortable but we had discovered that one of the prison camps had Antarian soldiers working inside. I had seen a seal on one of them but it was Mayla who told me it was one of our men.”
“Who?”
“I don’t know who it was I just remember the seal. But if I were to meet that bastard, I would know it was him.”

“What’s wrong? Dee asked her friend noticing her serious mood.
“We have to leave day after tomorrow.”
“What? Why?”
“Well there’s been trouble up there.” She pointed up toward the sky. “We need to go back. Zan was attacked and he says that the Granolith was sabotaged.” She saw Dee’s jaw drop.
“Oh my god. Girl is he ok?” Dee took her hands in hers.
“Yeah he’s fine now. But I still want to go back. We could be helping them there.” Will crawled onto his mother’s lap and snuggled there. “I am worried about him though. I thought we would be safer and happier there. I guess I was wrong.” Lola sighed and stroked Will’s hair. “It’s like things are more dangerous and complicated up there. Yeah we have the liberty to be ourselves, but at what cost?”
“Oh Lola, my dear alien friend. I told you to stay, but do you listen to me? No. I tell you, ‘girl stay on Earth, it’s better’ but do you heed my words of wisdom? Once again, no.” Dee joked.
“Yes your drama queeness.” Lola bowed and they both laughed.
“Hey I’m not the one with all the drama.”

Zan walked out to find Larek sitting on the blood coated bench. His eyes transfixed out to an unknown object.
“Larek, bro go change. You’re covered in blood.”
“It’s all I have left of her Zan. She left me. Someone took her away form me.”
“We’ll find them man. Don’t ya worry ‘bout that. Those sons of bitches will pay.” He assured him.
“Where’s Dom?” Larek asked still staring out.
“Last time I saw him he was in the communications room. He’s in pretty bad shape too.” Zan sighed. He refused to sit still seeing the blood where Larek sat.
“His sister died. I mean they just now found each other and she’s dead. I was always trying to keep her safe. I brought her down to Earth so she would escape the war, and the war still finds her back here. I thought everything was better, that it was safe to return. I should have just stayed on Earth.” Larek covered his eyes not wanting to let Zan see his weakness.
“I know what you mean.” Zan placed a hand on Larek’s shoulder letting him know it was ok to cry.

The next two days went by slowly. The Granolith was set for the return of Max, Lola, and Will. Zan waited impatiently by the transportation device and waited for it to come to life. He covered his eyes as the bright glow filled the room.
“Zan?” Lola spoke first as the light faded and they could see. He ran to her, kissing her all over and holding her tightly. Will grunted and pushed as his father’s body suffocated him while in his mother’s arms.
“Papi, no breathe.”
“Zan you’re going to kill our son man. Back off.” Max told his brother who reluctantly pulled away. “I missed ya too bro.” Zan said and pulled his brother into his embrace.
“Missed you too.” Max hugged him back. It was awkward at first to have Zan initiate the emotion but he relaxed into it. He knew his brother had been to a lot. “How’s everything?”
“Gone to Hell.” Zan said as he pulled away. “Mayla’s dead.” He whispered knowing that Dom was just a few feet away. Max looked up at him and only nodded. They mentally passed the news on to Lola who could not stop the tears from streaming down her face. “Come on bro. There’s major shit to do.”

Lola handed Will to Vilandra noting the difference in her. She looked happier despite the obvious fear in her form the current events. She walked with her two lovers as they entered the large meeting room.
“Greetings my lords and princess. I’ve heard the news of late and I lament the loss.” The governor came in and took his seat among the others.
“Yes there has been trouble. That’s why we’re all here today.” Zan spoke.
“Yes we’ve heard. You were attacked they say my prince?” Another asked.
“Yes. But I don’t think it was a planned attacked. Where I was held I heard them arguing on me being there in the first place. But that’s not really the important thing. The officer, Mayla Zelow, was murdered right outside the palace. That in itself is impossible. Only those who know the palace well or even work in it could have pulled that off.” He paused when uproar and gasped were heard in the room.
“My lord how do you know this?” The first governor asked.
“Well, myself and officer Zelow had been working together on a project when we discovered that during the rebellion, certain prisoner camps had Antarian soldiers working against there own, torturing their people.”
“My Prince, you were not even here during the rebellion, who could you possibly know this?” The governor asked almost condescendingly.
“Someone came to me for help and I received a vision from them. I saw a man with the Antarian seal. Officer Zelow was the one who told me what it was.” Zan told him. He was noting the man trying to seem superior.
“Who?”
“I’m sorry but the person entrusted me with their identity.”

Many of the servants stood outside the meeting doors trying to listen. Vilandra stood among them with a grateful smile on her face. Zan was still keeping her secret. Will stood at her side holding on to her hand also listening to his father. He tugged at her arm.
“Yes my young prince?” She bent down giving him her attention.
“Man. Over there. He hurt you?” Will pointed over at a far off figure. She looked up and tried to focus her eyes on the person. Her eyes opened wide with fear and she saw the malicious smile on his face and then he was gone. Her face paled and Will got closer to her placing his little hand on her shoulder.

“Well we’ll set up an investigation. I really have to go now and get things started. I guess this little system of yours is going to have to wait.”
“No, it will happen, just not as soon as it was planned.” Max added.
“Alright, alright. If you’ll excuse me…” The governor stood up and his assistants followed.
“I don’t like that guy.” Zan stated.
“Me either. He looks slimy. I thought those politicians only existed on Earth.” Lola sighed and relaxed into his arms.
“I know.”

Larek walked by as the servants disbanded allowing the governor to pass by. He saw Vilandra kneeling on the floor with fear and shock all over her face. Will stood beside her.
“Um, Will why don’t you go on in with your family ok.”
“But Lonnie scared.” He whispered to the man. He didn’t want to leave.
“It’s ok. I’ll be here with her. Go on.” Will nodded and walked into the meeting room. “Vilandra? Child are you alright? What’s the matter?” He kneeled down and looked her in the eye.
“He…he…he was….he was here.” She muttered as she continued to stare off.
“Who was here? Vilandra look at me. Who was here?” He held her shoulders and made her look at him.
“I…I…I have to go.” She got up and ran off.

Thanx NorafanofMaxandLiz I'm so glad you enjoy my fic

Part 47

Will laughed and ran around the palace. Lola ran behind him trying to persuade him to take a bath.
“No bath!” He shouted while he ran exposing his bare rear end. He dodged his mother’s clutches at every turn.
“William Rathard Evans get back here. It’s time for your bath. You are flashing the entire palace.” She shouted. “Oh for Christ’s sake.” She stopped and simply raised her arm in his direction. He kept moving his little legs even as he levitated off the floor. Lola waved him over and he fell right into her arms. “That’s better. Sometimes I forget I have all these nifty tricks.” She laughed.
“No fair. I don’t want a bath.” He scoffed.
“Well that’s too bad.”

Max and Zan sat in the garden catching up.
“So how is she?”
“She’s beautiful. She was so small. Samantha Hahn.” Max smiled.
“Damn I wish I would have been there. Did Miguel freak?”
“Nah he took it well. Dee on the other hand wants to kill you.” The brothers laughed. Max noticed Zan’s sudden change and the laughter stopped. “How is she?”
“Spooked. She’s been having more nightmares. And today she was so off. But I’m also worried about Larek and Dom. Man, you lucky you weren’t here. It was brutal. They just broke down. Larek is acting like nothing happened and Dom is practically dead himself.” Zan sighed trying to force the image of Mayla’s body out of his mind.”

The operators couldn’t help but stop and look at their once strong leader. Dom was reduced to a mess. He was losing a lot of weight and his appearance was terrible. His face had stubble, he had bags under his eyes, and his eyes were bloodshot from the loss of sleep. It was a shame.
“Dom?” He didn’t even blink as he heard his name being called. “Dom.” Larek called out again. He walked up to the distraught man and sat beside him. “Why don’t you go home and rest?”
“Why don’t you?” Dom countered. “You’re just a big a mess as I am. Even though you hide it better.”
“Come on Dom. I’ll take you home.”
“No. I don’t want to go. I…I need to work. I can’t just go home and do nothing. I’ll go mad.”
“Listen I’m going mad myself. I love you like a brother. I don’t want anything to happen to you.” Larek tried to console him.
“Brother? I was a brother. You still are a brother. Your sister is still alive. She was the only family I had left Larek. She was all I had in this world. Now I have nothing.” Dom pounded his fist on the table.
“I loved her too Dom. She was my bonded mate, my soul, my love. This is killing me just as much as it is you. I have to go home to an empty hell. I have to go to sleep in a cold bed. I will no longer hold her in my arms, will no longer kiss her lips, will no longer smell her special scent. Damn it, I will no longer have her.” Larek stood up, throwing the chair he was sitting on across the room.
“Whoa, peace Larek. You will destroy the equipment.” Dom grabbed his friend and held him. “Peace brother.”

“Mother. I can’t breathe.” Lola mumbled against her mother. Gabby refused to let her go.
“Oh Lola, I was so worried. So many things are going so very wrong. Where’s Will?”
“He’s asleep. After his bath he clocked out.” She knew her mother always worried about her, no matter what age.

“So how was the little meeting father?” The man asked through evil smile.
“Terrible no thanks to you. How many times have I told you not to meddle until things are ready?” The older man spoke angrily to his son. “You are always so ungrateful. I send you down to Earth to have a better life and what do you do? You come back here and almost ruin things.”
“I saved you. Now your precious monarchy has a chance. You should be thanking me.” He sat down taking a bite of the fruit he held in his hand.
“Thank you? You have the Prince attacked by one of your lowly thugs, kill an officer on palace ground and almost get caught.” The older man shouted.
“Your welcome. And don’t give me all the credit, you will give me a swollen head.”
“I should give you a swollen head.” He threatened.
“Calm down father, you’ll give yourself an aneurysm.” The younger man said to the retreating figure. He picked up his guitar and began to play.

Zan walked into his son’s room. Will laid on his little bed lightly snoring. He stepped beside the bed and kneeled next to him.
“Papi?” Will asked groggily. His eyes remained closed but he felt his father’s presence.
“Shh. Yeah buddy, it’s me. Go back to sleep though ok?” He brushed his sons hair back and smiled. The young boy yawned and soon fell back into his sleep pattern. Zan sighed and got back up. When he turned to leave he found Lola asleep on the small rocking chair. He smiled to himself and lifted her into his arms.
“Zan?” She mumbled as she felt herself being picked up.
“Yeah. Shh…stay asleep.” He kissed the crown of her head and carried her into their chamber.

Max was already inside changing into his usual night wear consisting of low hung drawstring pants and nothing else. Zan signaled him to stay quiet and Max nodded. Slowly he lowered her down on the bed and crawled in after her.
“Mmm…” She snuggled into his strong chest.
“Aren’t you going to change?” Max asked as he crawled onto the other side of his love.
“No need.” He replied as he waved his hand over himself.
“Do you mind covering yourself before you do that? I don’t need to see…it.” Max told him covering his eyes. Zan laughed and pulled the sheets over his now naked body.

Max felt Lola toss during the night. He looked over at Zan who was now also awake.
“Nightmare?”
“I don’t know. Do you want to find out?” He looked down at Lola. Her face expressed the distress she was in.
“I don’t want to intrude into her private thoughts.” Max sighed. “She looks really scared though.”
Zan shrugged and held his palms over her temples.

He opened his eyes to Lola’s dream world. Everything was dark and screams forced him to cover his ears. He turned to find Max also there, also covering his ears. They looked for her in the vast darkness and finally located her near a tree. Her eyes were shut tight and she held her hands over her ears.

“Lola, baby what is it?” Max crouched down and tried to communicate to her. Her eyes opened to his and she flew into his arms.
“Oh Max I don’t know where I am. I’ve never been here before. I’m so scared. Help me.” She was now crying. Zan kneeled down beside his brother and saw her. He’d never seen her so scared.

A monstrous roar sounded and they turned to face the sound. The dark figure loomed over them and its breathe burned.
“What is this? Lola wake up princess. Wake up now!”

They crashed back to reality as they were in the dream. Lola was huddled in Max’s embrace and Zan had his arms held out in front of them.
“Lola what was that?”
“I don’t know. I was having a normal dream when suddenly everything changed. Everything turned dark and loud. It was like there was this beast or whatever chasing me. I finally just fell and huddled into the tree. Then you guys show up. I was so scared.” She wiped the tears from her eyes and tried to get her breathing back to normal. Her small hands shook with residual fear.
“Let’s try to go back to sleep ok?” Zan kissed her and snuggled back under the covers. His naked thighs covered hers and pulled her closer.
“You’re tickling me.” She giggled as his sex hair rubbed against her leg.
“Oh sorry.” He smiled and pulled her closer.
“OK, ok can we just go to sleep?” Max mumbled groggily.

“Can you believe he had to leave? I mean he just became a dad and they call him out. I can’t believe I ever wanted to marry a musician.” Dee complained. Her face showed her agitation over the screen. Lola sighed and tried to sustain her laugh. “I mean how is Samantha going to grow up with her dad always gone and on tour?”
“Dee, Miguel is a good guy remember? He would do anything to be with you and Sam. You have to understand what his career will have make him do sometimes.”
“I know, I know, he’s a musical god. I just wish he didn’t always have to leave.”

Max threw Will up in the air and caught him as he giggled.
“Higher!” He squealed and max threw him up higher. Will laughed harder and screamed as he fell back into his father’s arms. Max smiled and turned to find Vilandra entering the hall. “Lonnie!” Will yelled and waved at the girl. She smiled and waved back.
“Hang tight ok son?” Max put him down and jogged over to her. “Vilandra, wait!”
“My Prince…I mean Max, may I assist you in anything?”
“I was going to ask you that same question.” Max saw her expression change to concern.
“Zan…uh, he…he told you?”
“Well we sort of have this connection thing going on, so he couldn’t help but tell me. Don’t be upset with him. It’s better if I know as well. This way you’ll have more people looking after you. You can never have enough friends right?” He smiled and gave her a little nudge. She smiled, and nudged him back. “You ok?”
“I guess I am now. Thank you. I’ve never had this much care since, well you know.”
“It’s nothing but my pleasure. What do you say you, Will and me go out and have us some much needed fun?” She smiled eagerly and nodded.

Many different men gathered within the small room. Tall men, short, thin, fat, blue, red, and green murmured among themselves. A hush fell over the room when the younger man entered. They all sat down and waited for him to speak.
“I guess you’re all wondering why I asked you all to be here today. Good morrow Dovan. Jucos, and of course you Koven; I have asked you all to come because I fear my dear, old father has lost interest in the cause. He has lost his grand vision of the Antarian royal tradition. As of late I fear he has gone soft on the triad of human-turned ‘royals’. When I delivered on of the three he grew agitated and ordered me to send them back. So my friends, I am taking it upon myself to take hold of the responsibility and…relieve my father. We shall rise up against this ‘new system’ that they want to enforce on our great people. If we do not, why they’ll just want to spread this ‘democracy’, as they call it, to all the planets in our system. Do you really want to adopt this government?” He took their silence as their answer. “So my brethren, let us unite and form a new alliance, a new uprising against the tyranny of the royal three.”

The group stood and cheered for their new leader. He basked in the glory and praise.
“Hail Toran!” They cheered and saluted him.
“Tomorrow my friends, will be the start of a glorious resurrection.”
