Reaching inside, he took out a medium sized bowl and set the bowl down on the counter. Opening the carton of eggs, he cracked four eggs and poured the eggs into the bowl.

Throwing the shells in the garbage can, Rath closed the carton and opened the milk. Pouring some milk into the bowl with the eggs, he set the milk down and put the top back on the bottle. Opening the silverware drawer, he took out three forks and set two down on the counter. Using the other fork, he mixed the eggs and milk together. Putting the bowl aside until the mushrooms were done, he went over to the stove and lifted the top covering the pan with mushrooms. He stirred the mushrooms and determined they were almost done. Placing the lid back on top of the pan, he set the fork down and went over to the fridge. Taking down one of the trays, he went over to the counter and set the tray down near the coffee maker.

Rath opened the cupboard taking two mugs and plates out. Closing the cupboard door, he set the mugs and plate down on the tray. Going back over to the stove, he lifted the lid and checked the mushrooms. Picking up the bowl with the egg mixture, he poured the egg mixture into the pan with the mushrooms. Using the fork, he stirred the egg mixture and mushrooms mixing them together. He continued to stir until the eggs were mostly cooked. Grabbing the package of cheese off the counter, he opened the package and sprinkled some cheese on top of the eggs. Closing the package, he stirred the cheese into the eggs and turned the burner off for the sausage.

Michael walked into the kitchen at the same moment Rath turned the burner off for the eggs. Without turning around, Rath said, “If ya hungry there is enough for ya ta has some.” Picking the pan up, he went over to the tray and scooped some of the scrambled eggs with mushrooms and cheese onto the two plates. Placing the pan back on the stove, he picked up the lid and put the lid on top of the pan. Lifting the lid on the other pan, he picked the pan up and went over to the tray. Using the fork, he put two sausages on each plate and went back over to the stove. Setting the pan down, he picked the lid up and placed the lid on top of the pan.

Lonnie stepped into the water more and tilted her head back wetting her hair more. Ava squeezed shampoo into her hand and handed the bottle to her. She brought her hands into Lonnie’s hair and started to massage her scalp.

Ava smirked sensing that Lonnie was desperate for release again. Lonnie tilted her head back letting Ava run her fingers through her hair as the warm water rinsed out the shampoo. Moving her head out of the water, she squeezed shampoo into her hand while Ava tilted her head back and wet her hair more. She set the bottle down and brought her hands into Ava’s hair when Ava moved her head out from under the water. Massaging her scalp, she said, “I should have set the alarm so we could have had more time together this morning.”

Ava tilted her head back letting the warm water rinse away the shampoo. Lonnie slipped her fingers out of Ava’s hair and reached down to turn off the water. Ava opened the shower curtain and grabbed two towels. Wrapping the towel around her body, she stepped out of the tub and said, “You always get like this when you ovulate.” Lonnie sighed knowing that meant in a couple of weeks she would have her period. Wrapping the towel around her body, she stepped out of the tub and followed Ava back into the bedroom.

Going over to the closet, Ava grabbed a black tank top and black mini skirt. She went over to the bed and placed the clothes on the bed. Unwrapping the towel from around her body, she dried off her body and picked the tank top up. Pulling the tank top over her head, she grabbed the mini skirt and stepped into it. Lonnie had pulled on a pair of black jeans and black t-shirt. Sitting down on the bed, she said, “Knowing ya is gonna be workin wit no thongs ain’t helpin.”

Ava slipped her feet into her black mules and said, “Ya will just has ta punish me later.” She giggled when she hear Lonnie growl in frustration.

Lonnie got up and walked across the room to Ava. She captured her mouth in a fierce and demanding kiss. Breaking the kiss for air, she smirked before saying, “Iz gonna takes great pleasure in punishin ya.”

Ava shifted on her feet as she opened their bedroom door. Stepping out into the hallway, she said, “Can’t wait.”

Lonnie followed her out of the bedroom and licked her lips while thinking, Me either.


Liz sat in her lawn chair and nibbled on the end of her pen. She was trying to decide everything that she needed to tell Alex that had happened since he left for the city. She took the pen out of her mouth and clicked the end. Bringing the pen to the paper she started to write the letter.

Alex,

God I miss you. Being here without you and Maria is so lonely. Don’t think that means that I am mad cause you left cause I am not I understand, really I do. You would have been foolish to pass this opportunity up. I walk by Maria’s house everyday hoping that she has come home. My heart pounds faster when I am working when the bell rings and I glance at the doors hoping. She still isn’t home but I pray where ever she is that she is happy and safe. Guess that is all I can ask for.

I have buried myself in my studies between doing my shifts at the diner. The sherif was still harassing me about that day at the diner. It got so bad that my Dad asked him not to come into the diner while I was working. He even threatened to go over his head and talk to his superiors. Kyle still is angry with me for breaking things off with him. He still blames Max even though I barely talk to Max now.

Last time, I really talked with Max was shortly after you left. Seems that Michael is no longer living in Roswell. Rumor has it that Max went to the Sherif to file a missing persons report and he was told that Michael went to live with another family outside of Roswell. Maria’s mom was right his foster father Hank Guerin was arrested for child abuse.

Oh, I almost forgot the strangest thing happened. For what I heard, Isabel and Max went hiking in the woods. She found some stray kitten and the thing was so wild it scratched her face. She has there big scars that run diagonally over her right eye. Her beautiful face is now scared. I’m rolling my eyes because I don’t think her beauty ever ran deep to her soul. I don’t know what it is. Just this feeling I get. I know you are thinking okay, her parents have money why not take her to the doctor and get plastic surgery. Guess she is petrified of doctors.

Enough about me. How is the city? Did you meet anyone? What’s your place like? Written any new songs? Do you mind if on break I come visit of a couple of days? Dad suggested I get away from Roswell for the break. I wanted to check out a couple of the colleges in the city. I hope to get a letter from you soon.

Liz folded the letter and placed the letter inside the envelope with Alex’s address. Licking the back, she got up out of the lawn chair and climbed into her bedroom through the window. Walking through her room and out into the living room, she placed Alex’s letter with the rest of the mail that would go out in the morning. Glancing at the clock, she sighed seeing her shift was about to start.
