Chapter 19
Truths Revealed
Kivar’s feet dangled in the air, as the unseen force gripped his throat tightly. Nakira’s eyes went wide with recognition and she rushed to Mayelena’s side. “Your highness, the Elders must be summoned! This was not foreseen!” “Somehow, I don’ think that will be necessary.” Mayelena replied. “ I’m surprise you don’t remember your daughter, when you see her.” Nakira frowned at Mayelena. What do you mean? Liz is Alora.” “Yes,” Mayelena replied, “In essence; what is floating before us, is Alora’s soul, in its purest form and all the power within it.” Nakira stared wide-eyed. “ But, how can this be?” “I’m not sure,” Mayelena replied “But I am sure Kivar has something to do with it.” Alex was at Isabel’s side looking her leg. He frowned; it was broken in several places. Then he laid his hand on her leg. Isabel flinched at the light pressure. “Get Max, Alex.” She said in a grunt But Alex didn’t listen. Instead, he closed his eyes and concentrated. His hand glowed momentarily and then Isabel’s leg was healed. Isabel stared up at him wide eyed. “How did you do that?” she gasped. Alex smiled “You’re not the only one with powers.” Alex slowly helped Isabel up. Their eyes became transfixed when they saw the floating form. “Isn’t that Liz?” Isabel asked with uncertainty. Alex’s eyebrows shot up in surprise “Yes It is! What the?”
“Zan?” The floating figure asked. The figure knelt down and touched Max’s forehead. “Wake up my love!” she whispered. Max’s body suddenly glowed the same color as Liz’s form, and then it disappeared. Max opened his eyes. “Liz?” he asked in a weak voice. When Max’s eyes focused and he saw the glowing form, he scrambled back in fear “Liz?” he asked again. “Do not be afraid.” Her slightly demonic voice said soothingly. “I will not harm you. Take your hand into mine Zan. You must see what I have seen.” Hesitantly Max take her hand. The moment he does is mind is bombarded with visions. Flash Alora walking down a hall in her favorite gown, admiring the promise ring Zan had given her. She hears a heated discussion, in the King’s meeting room. She quietly approaches the room. The door is open a crack so she quietly peers in. Kivar and the King* are discussing politics.
When the king’s back is turned, Kivar slips something in the king’s drink. Alora covers her mouth when she gasps, but she was not quiet enough. Kivar spots her peeping.
The next night after dinner, Alora falls ill. In her weaken state she sees Kivar visit her. Something is injected into her Intravenous. Alora falls asleep never to awaken again. Flash (on the day of their arrival.) I don’t care if the Royal Four has arrived! I will have them and everyone of their kind, wiped off the face of this planet!!”
When Alora broke the connection, Max stood up. Rage pumped through his body. “No.” Alora replied simply, and suddenly Max could not move. “I will dispose of him.” Alora offered. Alora floated up to the balcony til she was face to face with Kivar. He looked at her perplexed. “Don’t you recognize me Kivar? Oh right I didn’t even look like this when you chose to dispose of me.” So she changed her form. When she did, Kivar went pale as he recognized the face. “No, it can’t be! I killed you…I mean” Alora raised her hand then slowly closed it. Kivar begins to make choking noises. “I was only a child! I had barely begun to live!” She glances back at Max for a moment. “You killed my love. You killed his father, then all whom he was close to. All for that sadistic dream of yours! To put an end to Antarians.” Kivar sneered, “That’s right! But there’s nothing you can do now! I rule the throne and I rule Antar!” Alora cocked an eyebrow “I don’t think so.” She glances behind her, there stood the five elders one, for each planet. In unison, they nodded. Alora tightened her closed hand, and the sound of crushing vertebrae could be heard. Moments, later Kivar’s body crumpled to the ground, then, turned to a pile of dust.
Alora turned and floated back to Max, she smiled at him. As she kissed him tenderly, the blue aura that surrounded her dimmed, then vanished. Liz’s body slumped into Max’s arms. Liz’s eyes slowly fluttered open. “Where am I? What happened?” She groaned. Then her eyes flew open “Max! Is Max okay?” Max hushed her. “I’m right here. Everything is okay.” Liz sniffed back the starting of tears. “But I saw you..” “I’m okay now.” Max interrupted her. Then they embraced tightly.
“Omigod! Michael!” A frantic Maria shrieked as she fell to her knees in front of Michael’s body. Tears flooded Maria eyes. Suddenly aware of things around them, Liz and Max rush to Maria’s side. Isabel joins them with Alex. Isabel covers her mouth unable to utter a word, as she stared at Michael’s lifeless body. Max gently pushes Maria aside, and rips open Michael shirt. Maria gasps when Michael’s horrific wound is exposed. The wound was right above his heart. Max’s places a hand on Michael’s wound closes his eyes and concentrates. When he opens his eyes, he realizes it didn’t work.
Max begins to panic as he tries again. “It’s not working! Why is it not working?” Mayelena joins Max’s side. Max looks at her, with tears in his eyes. “I can’t bring him back can I?” She shakes her head solemnly. Isabel gasps and buries her head in Alex’s chest. “There is only one person who can save him now.” Mayelena states, and she looks at Maria. “We Antarians have many powers and abilities, but it is because of love, that we live as long as we do. Love is the most powerful force that we have here on Antar. That is why Kivar killed Alora, and why he killed Jesse.” Mayelena looked sympathetically. “ By killing our soul mates, it takes away our only power to heal.” Mayelena walks over and takes Maria’s hand. Maria looks around and finds Liz face, and Liz smiles at her knowingly.
Mayelena pulls a amber stone from robe and hands it to Maria. Maria takes the stone and kneels down beside Michael. After a few moments of concentration, the stone begins to glow, in Maria’s hands.
All was dark, he was alone. Then, he heard a voice. It was a voice he knew well, when it laughed when it cried. When it complained at him for being a typical guy, and when it sighed with pleasure.
A warm golden light shined through the darkness, and in the center was her face; Maria’s face. She’s reaching a hand out to him. He takes it, because there is only darkness behind him, only death. She is life, his life, always. Suddenly Michael’s eyes open and he gasps. Maria holds the healing stone tightly in her hand and stands up as Michael stand up. He looks from her to Max in confusion. “Max, you weren’t the one who healed me are you?” Max smirked and shook his head. “She did.” Max replied nodded in Maria’s direction. Michael looked at bewildered. “Typical!” Maria thought to herself “Well aren’t you…” Michael grabbed Maria by the shirt, and kissed her hard, til he heard the sound of people clearing their throats. He broke away and smiled at her. “Thank you.” Maria smiled back “ No problem.” Max then walked over with Liz and they both hugged him. Then Isabel hugged him in relief.
The tender moment was disturbed by the sound of a ship landing. Everyone stared til the ship landed and it’s occupants came out. The moment Larek stepped out, Mayelena smiled. “Larek! You’re here finally, but a little late I’m afraid.” Larek stared at all the dead bodies, around the courtyard, curiously. “Yeah I guess so, how’d you do it?” he asked Mayelena smiled at Liz “With a little help from some humans, and some old friends of yours.” Larek smiled when he saw the familiar faces of the hybrids. As if on cue, Ava was seen walking out of the bushes, from the back of the castle. She joined Kyle and Serena “Did they get here in time?” Ava asked. Kyle and Serena looked at each other and just shook their heads. Wrapping an arm around Ava’s waist, Kyle pulled her close to him and kissed her lightly. Ava blushes “What’s that for?” she asks, “For not getting killed. What are the chances, of you staying in Roswell when we get back home?” Ava leans in for another kiss, “So far, pretty good.” Serena rolls her eyes. “Ugh! Get a room will ya!”

Chapter 20
The aftermath
Max sighed as he glanced out the large window. What now? Kivar has been defeated and killed. Liz was in their bedroom… in the large castle recovering. What was his destiny now? In a few minutes, the leaders of the four sister planets, will gather in the meeting room, to discuss plans to make peace.
Nothing has changed; he wasn’t fit to be king. But now everyone is looking to him for answers.
“Asking the great God for answers?” Mayelena asked inquisitively. Max gave a nod. “You’re father used to do the same, whenever he had a major decision, to make.” Max frowned “ I don’t know anything about being King. I can’t even remember how I ruled before.” Mayelena looked into Max’s eyes. “What does your heart tell you?” Max thought about it for a moment. “That some kind of peace, after years of misery, is what Antar deserves. That It’s no longer my time to rule.” “Do you wish to give up the throne?” Mayelena asked. Max sighed. “I’m not sure. Part of me belongs here, but another belongs on earth. Now that Kivar is destroyed, I really don’t have a destiny here anymore.” Mayelena nodded her head understanding. “And what of your child?” Max frowned “Zan?” Mayelena shook her head “The unborn one, are you just going to leave her here, when you go back to earth?” Max was bewildered. “No of course not, she is coming with Liz and I.” Mayelena looked at Max with uncertainty. “You don’t know do you?” He frowned. “Know what?” Mayelena placed a small hand on Max’s shoulder. “Your daughter, will not able to live in earth’s atmosphere, At least as a child anyways.”
The color drained from Max’s face. “What? How do you know this?” she looked at him seriously. “I can sense it, couldn’t you?” He hadn’t sensed it, but he had wondered. How would he tell Liz? Max knew that Liz would want to stay on Antar with their child, but not being with her family and friends in time, would tear her apart. Max would have to come up with some idea, but in the meantime he would not tell Liz this bit of news. “Maybe I should keep my place on the throne, for now.” Mayelena gave her son a pat of sympathy. “I will see you in the meeting room in a few minutes.”
Ava hopped onto her large bed happily. “If you had told me a week ago. I would be living in such luxury, I would have told you, that you were off yer rocker!” Kyle smiled as he sat on the bed. “So, what are you going to do now? I mean, now that Kivar is dead? Are you planning to stay?” Ava gave it some thought. As she did, she waved a hand over her, returning back to her piercings and pink and black hair. “No,” she said finally. “I think I’ll go back to earth. There’s nothing really here for me.” Kyle was relieved, he had every intention of finishing off that kiss Serena interrupted. “What about Roswell?” He asked hopefully. She smirked at Kyle “Roswell huh? Kyle Valenti is there something you need to tell me?” Kyle grinned as scooted up to Ava’s side. “Well honestly,” he replied with a glint in his eye. “I was hoping I could just show you.” Ava licked her upper lip as Kyle proceeded to move even closer. “Show me what?” she whispered. Their lips were only inches away. “Why Roswell is where you belong.” He breathed.

The moment their lips met, both minds were exploding with visions, emotions and fantasies. Theirs pasts revealed themselves to each other; spoke to each other in a silent communication. Ava broke the kiss for a moment. “You actually dreamt that?” she giggled referring to a dream that Isabel had once watched as well. Kyle blushed. “You are too cute.” She replied and starting kissing him again.
Alex and Isabel were sitting comfortably in the royal lounge room. “So Max is up there right now? Making peace with four other planets?” Alex asked. Isabel nodded. “ The sister planets have been at war for over fifty years now. He looked at her seriously. “What about you? What are you going to do now?” Isabel sighs sadly “I’m not sure, so much has happened.” Tears well up in Isabel eyes and she struggles not to cry. “I think I might stay here for a while.” Alex embraces her tenderly. He so much wants to hold her close, but knows that her pain is for someone her heart belongs to. Finding out he was a clone, blew Alex’s mind away, but finding out the woman he loved, was now married, cut deeper than he was willing to admit. “What about you?” Isabel asked breaking into his thoughts. “I’m not sure actually, the life I once had died with me those years ago. I mean could you imagine, the look on my parents face, if I just walked through the door?” Isabel chuckled “ Yea, that would be a Kodak moment.” Alex smiled and nodded. “Yeah somehow I could just see my dad losing it.
After a few more minutes of giggling “But seriously.” Isabel asked. “Seriously?” Alex repeated and sighed. “ Isabel I really don’t know, I am still trying to get used to the whole clone thing.”
Alex and Isabel stood up when, Phillip and Diane Evans stepped into the room. “Hey!” Isabel greeted them. One look on their face, told Isabel, exactly what they came in to talk about. Sensing the atmosphere, Alex pecks Isabel on the cheek and excuses himself. Mr. And Mrs. Evans sat down. “I know this won’t be easy to talk about sweetheart.” Phillip began, “But we need to discuss funeral arrangements for Jesse.” Diane finished. Isabel cringed at the words. Although having Alex around has helped a lot, He didn’t take away the pain. Not even Kivar’s death made her feel better. Isabel had to submit to the fact that only time would take away the pain. Isabel sighed “I was thinking that they could make a clone of Jesse, you know, and send him back to earth, and pretend nothing happened.” Both Diane and Phillip looked shocked. “What? Isabel you just can’t pretend nothing happened!” Diane exclaimed. “Mom how do you suppose we explain his death to his parents?” Isabel asked “Uh Mr. And Mrs. Remerez we’re sorry but your son was killed during a war on a planet a few solar systems away. Oh yea I am sure they’d be willing to buy that story.” Diane and Phillip looked at each other. Isabel did have a point. Who would believe it? But Diane and Phillip felt it was almost disrespectful to Jesse to just send a clone. Both of them had mixed feelings about cloning to start with. “Besides,” Isabel finished “I’m not planning to come back to Roswell right away. I want to stay here on Antar for a little while.” Diane and Phillip both nodded but Isabel noted a little sadness in her adoptive mother’s face. “Mom, it’s not like that, I’m just not ready to face earth with..with Jesse gone.” Both Phillip and Diane nodded, understanding.
Nancy Parker was watching her daughter sleep, when Nakira walked into the guestroom. She pulled a chair up next to Nancy and sat down. The two women sat there in awkward silence fidgeting. Finally Nancy broke the silence. “So, you’re her Antarian mother?” Nakira nodded and gave a small smile. “And you’re her human mother.” Nakira added. Nancy nodded “Yep, I am.” There was more awkward silence. “You did a wonderful job raising her.” Nakira complimented her. This time, Nancy smiled. “Thank you.” Nakira nodded. After another awkward moment, both simultaneously decided to make a small kind of truce, and broke into conversation. Both of them talking about Liz’s past and present life “So, did you approve of Max, I mean Zan, when he came into her life?”
Liz had been in a peaceful sleep, when an unfamiliar ache hit her. Where was it coming from? “Ugh!” she groaned awaking from her nap. Suddenly Liz snapped wide-awake. The pain was coming from her abdomen. Nancy jumped her side. “Liz honey, what is it?” Liz groaned again as the pain grew intense. "I think I'm in labor!" she gasped.

Chapter 21
Restored Balance
Maria was waiting outside the meeting room, when the leaders of the sister planets came out. Larek and Max were chuckling as they walked out of the room side by side. Larek shook Max’s hand. “ It’s good to finally be at peace again. I look forward to working with you again.” Max smiled as he watched his old friend leave. Max noticed Maria minutes later, with an odd look on her face. “Maria? Is there something wrong?” Maria’s eyes went wide when she heard Max’s voice “Max! It’s Liz! She’s in labor!” Maria and Max broke into a run to Liz’s room.
Liz was laying in bed Nancy and Nakira at her side. Relief did not show on her face, til she laid eyes on Max. Max got down on his knees to Liz’s side. “When did this start?” he asked gently. Liz flinched as a contraction came on. Max leaned close into Liz, and caresses her forehead with his thumb in a soothing motion. After breathing through the contraction Liz could speak again. “ I was asleep, next thing I knew, I was wide awake and in pain. Noticing Mayelena not around, Max sent Maria, to find her. It only took Maria minutes to find Mayelena as she rushed through the hallways.
“Maria? What’s going on?” Maria looked at Alex wide eyed “You don’t know? Liz is in labor!”
Alex and Isabel stood up immediately “What!” Alex exclaimed in disbelief “Already?” Maria just nodded. Alex, Isabel and the others followed Maria to Liz’s bedroom. “Do they even give birth like we do?” Diane asked Phillip. “ Antarians mate and give birth the same way humans do.” Mayelena replied dryly. Phillip just raised his eyebrows.
When they got to Liz’s room, Nakira was standing outside the door. When Mayelena and the others approached, Nakira’s face looked relieved. “ It has begun.” Nakira stated. Mayelena just nodded. As Mayelena entered Liz’s room, she stopped the others from entering. “No, you must not enter, only those of immediate family should enter.” Maria frowned. Liz and Maria swore in Junior High, that they would be there for each other, when it came time, to have children. “I’m going in.” Maria stated crossing her arms. Michael joined her “Maria maybe should stay out here.” She stared at Michael wide eyed with her jaw dropped. “How can you say that Michael? You know how close Liz and I are! We promised we’d be there for each other, labor room and all when we decided to start having children.” Michael cocked an eyebrow. “That was before you knew that you were going to have children from aliens remember?” Mayelena smirked at them. “When family attend the birth, they share the pain. It’s through this sharing that the family remains close.” Maria ‘s face went pale “Did you say share the pain?” she squeaked. Mayelena nodded. She hesitated for a moment but then spoke. “I don’t care, I am going in there. Liz is my best friend and I am always going to be there for her. Besides, I am going to be the aunt that spoils the child.” And Maria headed for the entrance. Michael took her hand “I’m going too.” Isabel followed as well. When she looked back at Alex he put a hand up. “Not a chance in hell! There some things a man should never experience, and the pain of labor is one of them!” Isabel rolled her eyes and headed for the door. Liz and Max’s parents decided to stay behind as well mumbling something about have their fair share of labors.
When everybody who wanted to be in the room was there, Mayelena took her side next to Liz. Max looked up at his antarian mother. “Is there anyways I can reduce her pain?” Mayelena shook her head. “But rest assured the others will share in the pain. Liz will not be alone.” Max looked around the room as family and friends began to hold hands. Liz’s face began to frown as another contraction came on.
Max and the others did not feel the full force of Liz labor, but what they did feel, made the others realize when it came to antarians, having babies was serious business. After the next contraction, Liz’s forehead was beaded with sweat. Mayelena had been right about sharing. Every time one of Liz’s contractions came on, a connection was made with everyone in the room. Max could sense them all. Max had to hold back the urge to chuckle when he sensed Michael’s mind complaining and Maria’s swearing off children ever. He could sense Isabel’s sadness growing, as she acknowledged the fact she would never share a moment like this with Jesse. Mayelena’s mind was hard to figure out. There were too many emotions he did not recognize. Then there was Nakira; Max could sense she had a lot of pride in Liz. Like his adoptive mother had for him. Lastly, there was Liz; Max could sense behind that brave front, she was scared. To Max’s surprise; Liz was aware of the possibility, that the baby would have to remain on earth. “We’ll work it out.” He said reaching out with his mind. The tensing in Liz’s shoulders eased considerably. Max’s head began to buzz slightly as another contraction came on. Max and Liz were connected again, to each other and to the unborn child, demanding an entrance into the world.
After dealing with another hour of contractions, the time had finally come. Liz was soaked with sweat and was growing weaker as the minutes passed. “How much longer?” a worried Max implored. Mayelena hovered her hands over Liz. Her face frowned with concerned as she called Isabel over. Isabel too was worried. “You need to take her into a dream, the baby is stuck and her vitals are beginning to weaken.” Isabel looked uncertain. “But, I never taken anyone into a dream before. I’ve only gone into a mind or dream.” “Isabel you need to try.” Mayelena replied. “What are you going to do?” Isabel asked curiously. “I’m going to help the baby out.” Mayelena replied. Isabel looked puzzled. “With my powers.” Mayelena added. “But Liz needs to be asleep. It will be too painful for her to deal with awake. ” Isabel slowly nodded then took a place at Max’s side next to Liz. Liz gave Max a worried glance. “It’s okay,” he responded. “I’ll be right here.”
Isabel closed her eyes and imagined she was at a warm tropical island. She was reclined on a patio chair, drinking some juice drink with one of those little umbrellas and wearing a very fashionable pair of sunglasses. “ I could stay here all day, what about you Liz?” As Isabel asked, Liz seemed to magically appear in Isabel’s dream. She sighs contently. “Yeah, this place is nice.”
Max looks up at Mayelena. “Good, the connection is made.” Mayelena stated. Reaching out with her mind, and powers, Mayelena felt the child’s head slightly above Liz’s pubic bone. Painstakingly, slow she guided the child down into the pelvis. Meanwhile, she kept a close eye on the infant’s vital signs as well as Liz’s. Then, again very slowly she eased the baby down further but the infant came to a sudden halt. Liz’s hips were too narrow for the baby to move any further.
Max noticed Mayelena’s hovering hand come to a sudden halt. Max felt his blood run cold. “What is it?” Mayelena opened her eyes and looked at him. “She has narrow hips, they will have to be adjusted. Isabel is going to have to take Liz to a deeper state of sleep. The reconstruction will be painful.” Mayelena saw the fear in Max’s eyes. “Don’t worry my son, after this, she will never have to endure this again. You will be able to have more children if you wish.”
Mayelena connected with Isabel for a moment, and then began to finish the task at hand. Within moments the baby’s head began to crown. Isabel broke her dream with Liz, so that Liz could finally push the baby out. Gripping Max’s hand tightly, Liz gave a final push, their newborn daughter’s wail echoed through the entire top wing of the castle. Isabel wiped away her tears of happiness. Michael mumbled a “Thank god.” And searched for the nearest bathroom. Maria quickly joined her best friends side. Nakira and Mayelena cleaned the infant up. As they did a blue aura surrounded the child. Nakira and Mayelena gave each other knowing looks.
Max kissed Liz several times on her forehead. “Did you see her? She’s perfect. So beautiful just like her mother.” Liz smiled up Max “We make some pretty good looking babies don’t we?” Max grinned and nodded.
Chapter 22
After Max and Liz were admiring their freshly cleaned daughter, when Mayelena asked, “What will her name be?” Liz looked down at her daughter. “ Maria Alora Evans.” Maria beamed at her best friend. “What a beautiful name!” She exclaimed. Michael rolled his eyes. “Here we go!” Maria gave him an annoyed nudge with her elbow. “Ow! Hey! What?” Maria snorted at him. “ I think its sweet!” “Yeah okay whatever, but I am not naming any sons of ours Maxwell!” Michael replied defensively. Max rolled his eyes and shook his head. After everyone got a good enough look at the newborn princess of Antar, Mayelena request a word in private with Max and Liz.
Liz was grief stricken. “What do you mean she has to remain on Antar?” Mayelena face was grim. “She will not survive on earth. She doesn’t have the DNA for it.” Max looked down sadly at his daughter. Then a thought came to him. “What about those husks?” “Maybe in the future.” Mayelena responded. “But not now, her body will be constantly growing. Being confined to a husk will hinder that growth.” Max looked at Liz and Liz nodded. Max then squared his shoulders. “Then we will remain on Antar.” “I’m afraid you wont be able to.” Max looked up at Mayelena “Why is that?” Mayelena sighed. “Because those who were loyal to anyone but King Zan will now seek revenge on earth’s inhabitants. They will destroy the planet that homed the Antarian that destroyed their happy existence. You have to go back to earth, to protect it from our enemies.” Tears were brimming in Liz’s eyes. Did Mayelena really expect to leave her newborn daughter behind? She couldn’t! She wouldn’t. Liz shook her head “No, I won’t leave her! I’m staying!” “But,” Mayelena began, but Liz cut her off. “No! I don’t care! There has to be some other way! I am not just going to leave her here!” Max eyes pleaded with Mayelena’s asking to find another way. Mayelena gave a resigning sigh “Okay, we will send the others back home, with a few of soldiers of the royal army, til you return. It would be wise that you stay no later than one Earth month. Without your power Zan, the others will not be strong enough, to defend earth, from a full-blown attack.” In one month time the princess will be leaving her toddler stage.” Liz’s eyebrows shot up in surprise. “ She will only be a toddler for how long?” “A month tops.” Mayelena responded Max frowned “Why so short?” Mayelena shrugged slightly. “Most likely because we have a short fertile span. With hybrids you never know what you’re going to get, some DNA are active some are not. Apparently, Your daughter lacks some human genes. Who knows, maybe when she’s older things will change.”
Later that Evening
“So how long will you be remaining on Antar?” Maria asked Max. Liz was with her parents, as they enjoyed their first moments as grand parents. Mr. and Mrs. Evans stood close by sneaking peeks of the infant. “One month by then, she will be exiting her toddler stage.” Maria was stunned. “You mean they are only cute and innocent for one month? What a rip off!” Liz flashed Maria a look of warning. There was time for complaining later. Isabel stood up. “I could take care of her, I mean I don’t plan on going back to Earth.” All eyes were suddenly on Isabel. “Isabel what are you saying?” Diane asked. Max stood up from where he sat. “ You have to go back Iz, earth will need protecting.” Isabel’s eyes brimmed with tears. “ I can’t Max…I can’t. It’s too soon.” Max searched Isabel’s eyes. Behind her pain he saw uncertainty. Now that they have served their purpose, would they finally live their lives like normal humans? He doubted it, somehow he was pretty sure another Agent Pierce would try to resurrect, the elite force of the F.B.I. After all their years of hiding and the 2 years of running, he owed his sister this much, he owed her, her time to mourn, and rediscover herself. Max nodded “Okay, for now anyways.” Isabel nodded as tears streamed down her cheeks.
Alex stood up next to her “ Me too. I have nothing to go back to, I’ll stay here with Isabel.” Max nodded. He understood where Alex was coming from. His life was dead back on earth.
Max looked at the others. “The rest of you will have to return to earth. You will not return in the granolith however. Instead, you will return by portal back to the pod chamber. No one will see you return, therefore preventing any unwanted attention.”

Part 2 of Chapter 22
Each other. “No longer than a month you hear?” Liz smiled sadly, and nodded. “I promise.” Michael was looking around frowning “When do we leave?” Max frowned “Tomorrow. First thing. Say your goodbyes and get prepared.” Michael nodded.
Later that night, Maria and Liz were going through baby stuff in the baby’s room. “ I can’t believe it’s all over. What now? Does this mean that we no longer have to hide?” Liz sighed. “ I don’t think so Maria, We still have find a way find a way to get the F.B.I off our trail.” Maria nodded her head in reluctant agreement. An idea suddenly dawned on Maria. “ Why don’t we have a shape shifter from here, come back with us to earth? You know and do what Nasedo did, infiltrate the F.B.I.” Liz cocked an eyebrow. “Maria, Nasedo had to kill in order to pull that off.” Maria crinkled her nose in disgust. “Oh yeah.” Max suddenly walked into the nursery noticing the tension. “What?” he asked looking from Liz to Maria. “Maria and I were discussing the F.B.I problem.” Michael soon entered the nursery. “Well, our stuff is packed. Let’s take quick visit to my parents. It would be polite to say goodbye in person.” Maria groaned. “ If I never see another Skyte in my life, it would be too soon. God! Why doesn’t this planet use planes?” Maria hugged Liz “We’ll talk F.B.I later.” Liz nodded Michael gave Liz a quizzical look, and then headed out the nursery with Maria. “What was that about?” Max asked “What F.B.I problem?”
Liz looked into Max’s eyes for a moment. “The F.B.I problem our families are going to have once they have gotten home. I mean for all we know, there have been F.B.I agents watching us since we got back.” Max gently put their slumbering daughter in her crib. “We need to make sure there are no more Agent Pierces out there.” Max frowned with frustration. He wanted to get the F.B.I out of their lives once and for all. If any of them, ever harmed a single hair on his daughter, Max was sure he would completely lose it. Max was sure he would kill any agent, which harmed their child. “Let’s go discuss this with Mayelena.” Liz nodded and had one of the servants watch over their sleeping infant.
The next morning, everyone was quiet. Ava and Kyle cuddled close together at the breakfast table. Maria and Michael sat on the other side. Max and Liz’s parents stood together, talking about their plans for the crashdown café, when they got home. Serena stood by herself. She had no intention of staying on Antar. She hoping she could convince her landlord, of her previous apartment, to renew her lease on the flat she had rented, not too far from the Crashdown. She needed to keep her eye on these humans, while Max and Liz remained on Antar. “You never know, when you might have to shape shift into an F.B.I agent.” She mumbled to herself.
Kyle sat next to Ava, sensing everyone’s emotions. When Ava noticed a frown on his face she was curious. “Kyle what is it?” Kyle sighed “I can feel everyone stressing about the return home. Nobody knows for sure what, we are returning home to. I can only sum it up in three letters F.B.I. What did you and the others do to keep hidden for so long?” Ava shrugged. “We were four punk kids hanging out in the streets of New York. We blended well. Besides, we didn’t have the crash haunting us every here we turned.” “Excuse me everyone!” Mayelena announced “Please gather around .Zan..er Max and Liz have a back up plan made for your return home , in case of trouble.” Max and Liz along with Isabel and Alex joined Mayelena’s side followed by a group of antarian royal soldiers. Kyle snorted “Looks like we get to have our very own secret service.”
After the plan was explained, everyone gathered their things, as a portal was created right in the lounge room. Isabel looked up at Alex “Are you sure you want to stay here with me? I’ll be honest, I won’t be very good company.” Alex smiled “Don’t worry about.” He replied looking around. “I’ll be doing a lot of sight seeing. Besides eventually I will go to earth, just not now.” Isabel smiled and gave him a quick squeeze. She was happy to have him there, she would need a friend to help her get through the next few weeks.
Mr. And Mrs. Evans was the first to approach the portal. As Diane turned to Isabel, she noticed her daughter swipe a tear away. “Honey, take your time. Don’t feel bad, we’ll be waiting for you when you get back.” Isabel nodded and hugged her mother. Phillip Evans hugged his daughter and kissed her forehead. “See you soon.” Diane and Phillip stepped over to Max and Liz “Take good care of our granddaughter.” Phillip requested. “Come home as soon as you can.” Diane added Max hugged his mother. After giving Maria-Alora a kiss on the forehead, Phillip and Diane stepped into the portal. The portal glowed momentarily and then gave a bright flash. Diane and Phillip Evans were gone.
Jeff and Nancy Parker were next, to kiss their granddaughter. “You two take care,” Nancy said “Lizzie if you need a job, you know where home is.” Liz smiled and hugged her parents. Nancy stepped to the portal hesitantly. “You will not be harmed.” Mayelena responded noticing the human’s fear. The portal flashed and the Parkers were gone.
Ava and Kyle were next to enter the portal. Liz grinned at the two of them. “Kyle rolled his eyes. “We’ll see you guys when you return.” He grabbed Ava’s hand and she waved goodbye with her free one. Max frowned at Liz “It’s like looking at a ghost.” Liz gave a small chuckle “Minus the pining.” Max smirked “We’ll there’s always you.” A sparkle began to shine in Liz’s eye as she giggled up at him. “Ehem! Isn’t that how you got that one?” Max and Liz blushed as they realized they had an audience. “Uh, hi Serena. Are you planning on staying in Roswell?” Serena nods “Sombody’s gotta keep things running while you’re away.” She winks at them. “I’ll see ya when you get back.”
Isabel and Alex joined Max and Liz’s side, after Serena’s form disappeared into the portal. “Is that everyone?” Isabel asked sadness evident in her voice. Max sighed “That’s everyone.”
Max and the others walked side by side down the main hallway. “I’m hungry.” Max complains Maria-Alora lets out a wail. “You’re not the only one.” Isabel chuckles “Here let me see my sweet precious niece.” Isabel coos as Liz hands her over. When the baby instantly calms in Isabel’s arms Max and Liz suddenly have a change in plans. “ Isabel do mind baby sitting for an hour?” Liz asked. Noticing the dopey grins on Max and Liz’s face, Isabel gave a snort. “Ugh! You guys are like rabbits!” Maria-Alora cooed up at her Aunt. It didn’t matter why, Isabel decided she needed to spent some time with her adorable niece. Max and Liz gave a rushed “thank you” and ran for their sleeping quarters. Alex put an arm around Isabel and shook his head.
