"Alex...don't " I said rushing after him and holding his arm

"Is there any point in doing that?It'll just create a scene and that's probably what he wants.Remember no one here knows about him and me."

"Just leave it be.He didn't do anything."

"Now your defending him?" I ask getting angry. "Isabel he was making you dance with him...

"Unless of course you wanted to dance with him. Well that makes much more sense now doesn't it" I say before storming off outside.

Isabel

I followed him outside..."Alex stop it.Just stop it for gods sake!"

"We've been through this already.Let's not fight.Oh my God...this is exactly what he'd want,this is just like him,to come between people no matter how selfish it may be."

"He does this Alex...he sees something he wants and he goes for it,no matter who gets hurt on the way.If you behave like this you are playing right into his hands."

Michael

"Hmm, I don't know, maybe kissing you in front of all these people. Or, pretending I'm drunk and doing something stupid. I can't decide which would be more fun," I say, joking with an innocent look on my face.
"But right now I'm parched and I need a small drink. Would you like to accompany me?"

"Im not mad at him, or you for that matter. Im at mad myself. That I would let myself think that everything was going to be ok. That you wouldnt still care about him, which you obviously do since your defending him!" I say as I still try to walk away from her.

I laugh. "Yeah sounds good. But by the way...you wouldn't. Because if you did kiss me my mother would kill you before you blinked and if you pretended you were drunk my mother would not let us date EVER."

Isabel

"I told you that I love you.I don't know what else I have to do to prove that to you." I shouted after him as he walked away

"Alex?"

Since he didn't reply I started walking back into the house

There's that word again. That one that makes me weak at the knees.
Im putty in her hands when she says that. I sigh before turning round and running after her.
"If you..." I say before noticing other people were around. "Er...Isabel, can we talk please" I say gesturing towards the gardens once more. She follows me back outside where I continued.
"If you...if you love me...then why are you defending him?" I ask.

Isabel

"I am not defending him" I replied indignantly "all I am saying is that if Victor has figured out that you and I are a couple,and if he has realy come here to try and get me back,he will try and come between us."

"Does that make any sense to you?" I asked exasperatedly

Michael

"Now we wouldn't want either of those to happen, so for now, I'll just stick to whisking you off the dance floor to accompany me to the punch bowl," I say lightly,grabbing her arm gently before heading towards the table covered in refreshments.
