I can still feel some of the effects of it..."at least Im coming up with some good excuses" I think to myself, Isabel will be proud of me.

"Okay...whatever. Maria, does he look drunk to you?" I ask innocently, turning to Maria as I watch Alex out of the corner of my eye.

I also see Isabel glaring at him. "Oh, and Isabel, what about you? Think he's a little...tipsy?"

God!!... you are pathetic Alex Whitman.I'll need to give you some tips of how to be a good liar.

"Where are the others?" I asked in an effort to divert the attention of Alex,"he seems fine to me" I replied barely looking at Alex

I look at Alex. "I think he's telling the truth....I did see some of the wine seemed to be missing...but I still don't think that's why he's blushing." I say.

"Max-- Max I think I..." Love you, I finished silently. Wait, what?! What was I thinking! He was hurt, and I was feeling sorry for him and a little responisible for his injuries, but surely I didn't love him. I couldn't. "I think I should get that doctor," I said finally, getting up and walking over to the door.

"Well I guess I believe you... And as for the others, I don't know. Max is probably in bed, and Liz is either caring for him or doing who knows what." I say, falling for the diversion. "As for Kyle...I haven't seen him or Tess all day..."

"Oh, Kyle, let's watch this one!" I said happily, holding up a copy of 'Gone With the Wind'. He made a face. "What? It's a classic!" I said, laughing. "Come on, put it in!" I said, giving him my best pout.

"Ah...everyone is on their own trip" I said grinning
