I heard a door slam and put my book down for a minute, sitting up as Andrew walked into the room. Andrew Evans was a good kid; but I suppose that was due to the parents, I mean how could you grow up with Max and Liz and not be. I'd heard plenty of stories from mom about how smart they were and whatever else she felt like telling.
We'd been best friends for years now; and I was happy when we both got accepted to NYU because it was good to know someone when you lived across the country.
"Hey man," I said with a grin, turning the music off. "Yeah, it's for philospohy," I say, motioning towards the book. "We got out early cause the teacher had to go somewhere. I would've waited but I went to the gym to do some laps and then I showered and you still weren't done."
I lifted myself off the bed and made my way over to the fridge, grabbing a soda and a bottle of tabasco sauce. (hey, it runs in the family lol) "So what do you wanna do tonight?"

I shot a quick "Hi" in the direction of Amy and Oliver as they joined us, but then I started playing with my straw, only half listening. James asked if I was gonna ride with him, and I looked up for a moment. "Yeah, sure if that's okay. My dad's going out," I said, frowning a bit.
Dad was going to give me his bike one of these days, but he was still holding on to his teenage years, if you know what I mean. He never rides it anymore, but he didn't want to part with it either.
"Um, yeah we're going," I said, answering everyone that has joined us. I glanced over at Sabrina again, but then I returned my gaze to my coke and started swirling the straw again. I'm not a fan of big crowds of people in cramped spaces, and right now Amy was squished into my side, making it really uncomfortable. Oliver had it the best, in his chair on the end. All I could think about was leaving.

"Um, yeah we're going," Tyler answers aloud and I see him look towards Sabrina.

I shake my head as Mags continues her taunting, "Come on, Sabs. Look at how close Laura is to him. Remember how she used to moon over him."
I sigh, I'd noticed back when it was obvious, I was just glad that I wasn't apparent because I didn't like to stand out in the front accept where music was concerned. "Mags, shut it. Look, we have to be out at the refinery an hour before the others get there so we can set up and do the sound tests. We can't screw this off because we might not manage to get asked to another gig." I just barely finish my tirade when I see Leta looking toward the entry with a grin on her face that tells me only one thing. Erik just walked in.
Mags and Dawn pinch her and force her gaze back to the table and I shake my head with a laugh. I glance over just in time to see Erik before he unceremoniously slides in next to me, pushing me over with his rear. I watch him smile at the girls before looking back at me. "So Bre...still need that ride tonight?"
"Yes, if you're certain you can spare the time, Er. I have to be there early for set up and Mags van will be full with Dawn and Leta with the equipment." I give my brother a smile, feeling instantly more comfortable and content with him around. I mean, when it's just the girls and Tyler is close I feel as though I'm a live wire and that at the wrong moment I'll say something or do something that'll make me look like a fool in front of him. But, when Erik is around, even when Tyler is, I'm a bit more in control. I'm glad that my brother and I share such a closeness.

"You could always come with me." Laura asks casually, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize it's more than just a casual question. I hate situations like these, where you feel you have to say yes or at least make up a good excuse.
"Um, well, uh, I guess that would be okay, if James doesn't need me to cover for him in case his dads home...," I say, trailing off but acting nonchalant. "Do you James?" I ask, trying desperately to send a message to Jake mentally while staring at the side of my glass. I wait for his answer, sending a smile in Laura's direction so I don't seem rude. The last thing I need is people mad at me.
((right now he doesn't know he actually has ESP, so this is just a desperate attempt to communicate w/o being rude lol))

new characters:
Unknown to Cal Langely, one of his flings nearly twenty years ago, resulted in his lover becoming pregnant with not just one child, but three. Daniella (Danni), Talia (Lia), and Jacob (Jake) are those three children. Raised in secret by their mother who realized early that there was something different about them, they did well in life. Money was never an object, love was never lacking, but something inside them kept crying out for something that seemed to be missing. When they turned eighteen, their mother, laying on her death bed, informed them who their father was and that is how they now come to be in Roswell after having met Cal.

Powers: Typical Alien, plus shifting, telepathy, and shield.

She is determined that she is going to find out more then what their father told them and she doesn't care about the risks involved. However, Daniella has always been the leader of the triplets and she respects her sister enough to bide her time, but while she's watching without revealing herself, there is someone that catches her eyes. Powers: typical alien, sharing energy, hydrokinetic, and telepathic.

Despite his sisters' having interest in a couple of guy's, he is determined to make certain they don't get hurt, but in the process finds himself fighting with the fact that he is interested in a girl that is younger then he is by nearly 3 years. Powers: typical alien, telepathic, conduit for energy, and a dreamwalker in the sense that he can actually alter people's dreams (and if he chooses, they'll remember).

Of course, his mention of that does bring up a good point. Dad's not quite as bad when Tyler's around because he's seen as being a 'perfect' student and doesn't get into trouble. Supposedly, Ty's supposed to be a good influence on me. "On second thought, that sounds like a much better idea. Dad won't flip as much with you around, Ty." I concede.
I'd much rather be able to get out of the house tonight instead of fight with dad through the night if he's home. Mom's not quite so bad. She's actually cool. Of course, I have been told I take after her. And, when it comes to mom, I actually enjoy having the chance to hang with her from time to time, though so far I've managed to hide my tattoo's from her also. She may be cool, but I'm not sure the tattoo's would keep her calm.

I turn around to look at her. She knows I love surprises. I smile at her. "Yes I believe that's true...." She leans over and kisses me softly on the lips...God I love her lips...
Of course, it can wait until you finish up for the evening." she finishes.
I give a little powt. "Oh please Mrs Evans....I want my surprise now!" I joke.
She smiles and leans down again. She's so close to me...I just want to pull her towards me and kiss her...
"I love you, Alex"
She leans in and we kiss again. I smile as evntually she pulls away. "I love you too Mrs Isabel Whitman" I whisper back. I quickly cup her face with my hand and pull her back towards me and kiss her again.
