I can tell the guy just wants to get there already. But Im not going to speed. No way. I have to deal with enough car crash victims as it is. "Almost there" I mutter to him as I switch the radio on, even though the song from that grease movie is still playing in my head.

A few minutes later. we finally arrive and I pull up to stop in an available space. "Here we are" I say as I turn off the engine and jump out, locking the vechile behind me.

And with that, Im walking smoothly over to her house. Of course I head to the front entrance at first, but after hearing the music, I soon find the side entrance and make my way in. I immediately scout for Liz but guess what...she's talking to my sister ladies and gentlemen. So instead I quickly go find myself something to drink.

Isabel

Liz smiles at me and asks,"Hey,you look good.How did your week go?Was it busy at work?"
"Yeah it was busy but..." Maria joins us at that moment before I can further elaborate,"Hey, guys! What's new?"

I give her a peck on the cheek,"Hey Maria,I was just telling Liz that I had a busy week but I took Alex for that makeover I had promised on Monday.Have you guys seen him yet?He looks a hundred times better."

Just then I look over Maria's shoulder and spot Michael at the bar,"Michael." I say loudly,waving him over

~LIZ~

I lean in and kiss Michael on the cheek, just to see what kind of reaction I get out of him. "Glad you could make it!" I turn back to Isabel. "I haven't seen Alex yet but then if you made him over, I might not recognize him. Did you change him that much?" I ask.

*MARIA*

I move a little to put some space between Michael and myself. God, his cologne smells good! I look around, trying to spot Alex when I think I see someone that looks like him standing back over on the other side of the room. "Is that him?" I say, nodding in his direction. "He looks good, Isabel!" I compliment her.

I make my way inside and the room is hopping. Liz's parties are like legendary. She's only had the cops called on her once and she did it that time herself because two crashers ruined her favorite oriental rug in a room that was off limits. She wanted them arrested for vandalism and tresspassing. She got it but later dropped the charges. I spot Max and go over to him. "Great party huh?" I ask. "You seen the hostess yet?"

Isabel

Liz kisses Michael on the cheek and I resist smirking,she loves teasing men.Turning to me she asks,"I haven't seen Alex yet but then if you made him over, I might not recognize him. Did you change him that much?"

I glance once at Michael before answering,"I think you should see him for yourself and tell me what you think.I think he looks really good but Jason is the one I thank for the new look."

Just then Maria asks,"Is that him?" and nods in his direction and I can feel a grin tugging at the corners of my mouth but I suppress it "He looks good, Isabel!"

"Thanks but as I said I just told Jason what I thought would look good on Alex,the rest was up to him." I reply and try and catch Alex's eye

ALEX

Sipping from my coke (no orange soda here, what a pity!) I glance around, feeling slightly bored. Sure, the party is awesome - Liz did a great job - but I don't know that many people and I haven't seen Isabel yet. Besides, being sober around a bunch of drunk people can be boring.

Feeling slightly uneasy, as if I was watched I straighten up slightly and look around and ... aha! There she is, thank God. I admit, I was briefly wondering if Isabel might not have made it here. Weird, I know.

Maneuvering myself around a few people, I make my way towards Isabel and notice that the others are there too, making a nice little group. I almost feel like an intruder when stepping closer.

"Hey guys!" I greet them when I come to a halt next to Isabel. "Fully dressed I must add." I say quietly so that only Isabel can hear - or so I hope.

"Great party Liz." I grin, raising my glass to the hostess.

~LIZ~

I lean up on my tip-toes to give Alex a peck on the cheek. "Thanks and you look great, by the way!" I tell him sincerely. "But don't think the whole evening will be this tame. Things are just getting started!" I notice Maria moves a little closer to me and a little further from Michael. Hmm. Interesting. Might have to do something about that later.

*MARIA*

Looking around at everyone, I lean in a little closer to Liz and ask, "Do you even know who half of these people are?" I don't recognize hardly anyone, and I come to almost all of her parties.

~LIZ~

I look around and nod. "Sure! I know at least half of them," I say cheekily and give her a grin. Then I shrug. "As long as they behave decently and don't do anything illegal or destructive, I don't care. Usually, they're friends of somebody I do know." Then I lean a little closer to Isabel as I spot the one person I've been waiting for all night. "Isabel, I want to ask you something. Do you think we could talk for a minute alone?" I smile sweetly at Alex. "You don't mind if I borrow her do you?"

Isabel

Alex comes over to us and I smile at him,nothing too bright or anything but he'll know that I'm happy to see him,"Hey guys." he greets the others and then lowers his voice and says to me,"Fully dressed I must add." I kist about manage to stiffle a giggle and glare at him briefly

Maria moves closer to Liz seemingly further away from Michael.I wonder why she always treats him like he has a contagious disease?Poor guy...he's really quite nice.I wish she'd give him a chance."Do you even know who half of these people are?" I hear her ask Liz and she replies "Sure! I know at least half of them," and I laugh.

Hmm,I wonder if Max will be here tonight?If the rest of his friends are so I'm sure he's been invited."Isabel, I want to ask you something. Do you think we could talk for a minute alone?" Liz asks jerking me out of my little reverie "Sure,anything the matter?" I ask as I follow her

"You don't mind if I borrow her do you?"

I'm a bit caught off guard by Liz's question, being brought out of trying to smell which perfume Isabel wears.

I hold up my hand that is not holding the glass with a laugh, "God forbid that I stand between two girlfriends. I do not have a death wish." I move a bit back so Isabel can pass, smiling at her and looking after her and Liz for a moment before turning back to the others.

"Maria, lovely dress." I tell the short girl with a smile and then turn to Michael, "Hey Michael, did you come up with yet another wonderful recipe?"

I only step a few paces away but stop in a spot where we can get a clear view of Max. I look into her face. "Maybe, maybe not," I answer her. I nod in Max's direction. "Isabel, what's going on? Why did you make that bet and not tell me that Max is your brother?" I'm not mad at her. I rarely get mad but I am really curious about the whole thing.

*MARIA*

I grin at Alex's statement since he isn't looking at me when he compliments my dress. His eyes are on Isabel. Which would explain why he didn't realize that I'm wearing jeans. "Thanks, Alex," I say, trying not to laugh. It's at that point that I spot Tess and excuse myself to go say hello.

Coming up behind her, I tap her on the shoulder and say, "Hey, Tess!"

Isabel

"Maybe, maybe not," she answers and I follow the direction her eyes are lookign in and spot my brother "Isabel, what's going on? Why did you make that bet and not tell me that Max is your brother?"

Oops!So she's caught on.Well not like I didn't expect Max to not tell her that I'm his sister.Oh what the heck!

Shrugging my shoulders carelessly I smirk,"Well he was the only playboy I knew in the club that night and...he needs to meet his match to know what it feelsmlike to get dumped." I say smiling at her wickedly "But who knows,may be you guys are each other's long lost soulmates." I laugh and before she can say anything I rush back to Alex's side
