Here goes I told myself...

"Look all that happened was that he told me that he liked me.So,I told him that if that was the case then we had enough of time to get to know eachother better." I said convincingly

On second thought I added,"and that is all I can tell you 'coz I myself don't know where I stand with this guy or which direction our friendship may or may not turn."

I looked at Isabel...I know that she's not telling me something...but I also know she's never going to tell me. And if she doesn't want to tell me then I can do nothing about it.
"Okay...well it sounds like you had a better time than I did..." I said.

Isabel

I felt really guilty lying to her but what had happened between Alex and me,was only meant for us to know.

"Oh why do you say that?Michael and you seem to be getting along just fine."

"It's just, we talk....and I think that's about it. He harldy ever says anything...like ever. And I know thats my fault and all, but still! Im just wondering if he even likes me. Maybe he's just feels like he's stuck with me." I said really fast.

(ooc: Sorry POM!!! Veeery busy, but I'll be back later today! Oh, and I haven't forgotten about Tess, my time's just limited right now. )

"I...I--" I started huskily. Think Liz, I scolded myself, It's an act, remember? I stepped away, putting some distance between us. "I don't believe you," I said firmly, turning away.

Isabel

"Oh for god's sake don't be ridiculous Maria" I said annoyed with her

"Stop putting yourself down.Look if he didn't want to be stuck with you,he could easily have tagged along with Alex and me earlier or he could have elected to stay behind with those other four."

"Speaking of those four...where the hell are they?" I asked looking around as if expecting them to turn up any moment

"I have absolutely no idea!" I said annoyed. "And why shouldn't I put myself down! I'm soaking wet, and Michael has barely said two words to me! What else am I meant to think!" I said annoyed that she was annoyed with me. "And don't get annoyed with me when I know perfectly well you're lying about the Alex thing!" I said.
I turned on my heel and walked back over to Alex and sat down next to him. This will show Isabel. If she's going to be like that...
"You ok Alex?" I asked sweetly.

"Yeah, absolutely! Why wouldn't I be?" I said surprised.

"Well, it's just you don't look very relaxed...let me try and help." I said smiling.
I kneel behind him and start to give him a back massage.
"Is this helping?" I ask

That's nice of her...the fact is, I'm very relaxed after kissing Isabel...but I can't tell her I'm not...and I have to admit...Maria does give nice massages. I let her magic fingers do there work...I could practically purr right now....
"Yeah it....oh god that feels good." I moaned.

Isabel

I followed Maria back to where Michael and Alex were sitting and sat down next to Michael to have a chance to talk to him since I hadn't really spoken to him yet.

Next thing I knew Maria was giving Alex a damn back massage.To make matters worse that ass Alex was enjoying it.I fumed inwardly but didn't show it,my face totally calm but I'd give Alex a piece of my mind later on.

I was angry with him,Maria hadn't an idea about what had happened between him and me but he couldn't have forgotten so quickly.

Isabel came and sat down and I couldn't keep my eyes off her...But she was avoiding my eyes....oh god she didn't think I was flirting did she? I had to end this now.
"Thanks Maria, I feel totally relaxed now." I tell her when actually feeling more tense than before. I started to get up.

I smirked...yes this was definitely working. Michael was just blanking everyone as usual, I doubt he was even watching me...Isabel looked...well she was trying to blank us out...and Alex was trying to avoid it.
"But Alex...I should do your feet." I said grabbing one of his feet and pulling it towards me.

"No don't!" I said jerking my foot away, but as I did so ended up topplig back into the river.

As she walked away from my grasp I smiled at her boldness--"That's fine I guess I diserve that--I guess that means I have to try extra hard to prove you wrong." I smiled as she turned around at my words. "We should really be going--the others will be wondering where we are at..." I told her as we both climbed back on our horses and went in the opposite direction. "Do you know where they went? I mean where they set the picnic at?" I asked her.
