Kyle

I sighed..."Too late dude.I have already invited him,that too twice.Once when he'd just arrived and then once more after you'd knocked him down."

"But why's he getting under your skin?I mean you don't even know him.Is it because he was dancing with Iz?"

"Look, she...you know what I can't explain it ok, just....forget it" I mutter.

I wandered around for a little while, waiting for Kyle to return from the veranda. I sighed, fiddling with my necklace. Why didn't I want to go talk to the single men? After all, that was the whole reason for the coming out party.

Before I had time to think about this, however, I noticed Kyle walking back inside and I quickly walked over to him, ignoring the stares I was receiving. "Is everything ok?" I asked, taking in the sour look on his face.

Kyle

"Yeah...I don't know...I'm not sure." I said running my fingers through my hair thoroughly frustrated

I just couldn't understand why Alex was behaving so unusually this evening.
I have to get to the bottom of this...I told myself

Isabel

I tossed and turned for a while but I kept getting stupid dreams so I finally woke up and sat in the dark thinking.

Victor coming back out of the blue wasn't something I had ever expected...okay maybe at first...but as time went by I had given up hope of his coming back into my life.

I thought of Alex,and a small smile came to my lips.So gentle and loyal,he didn't deserve to be dragged into this mess.Victor if he would be true to form would create chaos in order to get his own way.

I got out of bed and went and stood out on the balcony,enjoying the cool night breeze...You can handle him Isabel...said a voice in my head...you got him out fo your system a long time ago,don't doubt yourself now,you're over him

I hated myself at that moment for having those thoughts.

I head across the gardens, not sure what to do with myself. I hum a random tune that pops into my head...I always did like music.
I look at the beautiful gardens, but there pale compared with Isabel.

Michael

I head towards the ballroom again, with Maria behind me. "I think people are going home soon, would you like another dance?" I ask, pulling her back onto the dance floor discretely.

"Love to" I say with a smile playing at my lips. I allow him to pull me on to the dance floor. I smile as a dreamy song begins.
"This has been a lovely evening Michael...thank you" I say.
