Gently tugging on Isabel's hand, I get us moving again. Grinning down at Isabel, I say, "Oh my, if Liz left you plenty of times before, what might she be thinking that we are up to when we are leaving now? "

I watch Max's face and the look on it is just priceless. I can't help the smile that comes out but I do manage to hold back the laughter. "Don't worry, Max. Like I said, I told him you weren't his type. Besides, I think he was only teasing anyway. Like I said, he's in a happy relationship." I step closer to Max and place my hands on his chest. Looking up into his eyes, I find myself saying, "And I think that I made it quite clear that you are off limits at the moment." I say it in a teasingly sexual way and lean up to kiss him, remembering just in time that he still needs to brush his teeth and we have an audience.

Todd clears his throat behind us and I turn around. He's still grinning like an idiot and he taps his clipboard. "Lizzie, I think we can manage the rest of the day without you if you and Max would like to go have some fun. Just keep your cell phone on and we'll call you if we absolutely need you but I'm pretty sure we have it all under control," he chirps and winks at me.

I roll my eyes but turn back to Max. "Well, doc, what do you want to do? I told you that I'm all yours." God, I want this man! But after the day we've had already, I wouldn't blame him if he wants to go home and recuperate.

"Yeah, why not." I reply, watching the traffic. Lots of cars are driving towards the carnival, Liz really can be proud of it.

"Do I need something to bribe Misty with to get her to like me more?" I really don't want my things to be scratched or bitten by the small bundle of fur. Driving in the direction of Isabel's place, I briefly glance over at her, "So, where is your usual video store?"

Michael places his hand softly on my arm and I know how silly this sounds but every inch of skin he touches seems to heat up under his palm. I yearn for that caress to be so much more then it can be. It is not the time. Although it is most certainly the place. Suddenly I become very aware that we are indeed in my bedroom. This is where the magic happens. Anything with Michael is nothing less then enchanting. His knowing smile seems to brighten up his handsome features.

I just stare captivated for a moment by his startling beauty. Okay, I know stereotypically men aren’t supposed to be beautiful ,but I honestly can’t think of a more accurate description for the perfect being before me. His dazzling grin has me caught up in a trance and it is only when I hear him say my name that I am jolted back to reality.

I’ve had quite a lot of men deliver me some pretty lines in the past but I’ve always prided myself in not being to swept up by what a guy tells you. It’s his actions that you should look at. Still Michael has this way about him that makes me feel entirely too comfortable. I automatically want to let my guard down which is precisely why I should keep it up. Still I can feel myself opening up to regardless of my own reservations. It is as if with every kind gesture and sincere compliment he is teaching me that it is okay to feel.

I wish we could just stay here together ,but I have a feeling that would lead to trouble. I’m not sure I can keep my hands off of him much longer and the last thing we need is an empty house and a California king size bed that practically expects sex.

“I’m just going to run to the dressing room and freshen up. We can stop at your place on the way so you get changed. If you want you can go down to the kitchen and snag you some breakfast. I pretty sure I haven’t finished off all the chocolate fudge pop tarts yet.” I offer in what I hope is a helpful manner. It would be easier if I wasn’t imagining what it would be like to take him into the dressing room and have my way with him. Oh well, that’s a fantasy for another day
