"So we would be like roomies?"

I smile at her with a new found strength. "It all sounds good, but we should wait and do it tommorow. Hank is supposed to work late tonight so he won't be in until early morning."
I realize we are almost to the trailor park.
"Oh you can just drop me off here."
I say a little hesitatly.

"yeah thats better give me more time , to get enough energy" i nod
"Oh you can just drop me off here."
raising an eyebrow at her suddeness to get rid of me.
"i dont give a rat's where you live Ria and plus your driving and it'd be stupid if you stop the car here only to walk to the trailer" reaching over to grab her hand.
"it'll all be over soon k?"i say

"it'll all be over soon k?" she assures me and amazingly enough I believe her.
I park right outside the trailer more than a little embarrassed by the place I reside.
"Thanks... for everything/" I stammer.

"Like hell! I don't care if you don't like him. I'm going keep seeing him...." Liz shouts, and I shut my eyes, trying to control my temper.
Then she continues, and what she says drives me up a wall. " I told Max...everything....Pay back is a bitch"
"Why the hell would you do that!" I scream, pulling her door open. "I can't believe you'd endanger our lives for you stupid ass boyfriend!"
With that, I walk out of the room, slamming the door behind me. I don't even care if our paren'ts can hear us. Once I'm in my room, I lock my door and lay there, staring up at the ceiling, angry as hell. Why would she tell someone? I mean, I hadn't even told Maria, but I'd used my powers in front of her...and she told Max for no reason?

"so what color are we going to paint your room? Think about it, i'll see you at the crashdown" she gives me a hopeful grin before driving off.
I walk into the trailer with a smile on my face. For the first time in years.
Unfortunately the sight before me was not quite I expected.
Hank sits crouched over in the corner cleaning his shotgun.
"Um.. what are you doing home early?" I ask timidly.
His gaze never leaves the weapon in his hands.
"I got laid off. Those ungrateful bastards fired me!" The monster shouts as he rises.
"Um.. I'll start supper." I offer going to stand over at the stove.
The evil man charges toward me. Before I even realize what has happened I am pinned to the floor. His hands hold my shoulders to the floor. Tears flow steadly down my cheeks as i try everything to release myself from his restraints.
"Please.. stop." I whisper hating the own sound of my weak voice.
He starts to take his belt off and it is then that I realize his true intentions. OH No!!! He's going to rape me here on this dirty carpet in this tralier that I loathe.
My nails scratch a huge gash in his face as I struggle to break free.
Letting go of my left shoulder he punches me hard across the face.
That's all it takes. With half of myself free I wiggle out of his drunken embrace and run out of the door.
Where can I go? The rain pours down soaking me from head to toe.
"Perfect. Just perfect." I mutter to myself sarcastically.
My mind feels all jumbled and through all the caous I can only think of one person.
"Michael." I whisper.
Making my way to his house I stand outside his window shivering in the cold.

)

Still pissed at Liz, I turn over in my bed and stare out the window at the torrential rain that only recently started. My bed is across the room, so trying to calm down, I move across the room to my window, giving me a perfect view of the street.
As the rain pours down, I focus on the street, checking to see if anything's out of the ordinary. There's no one oustide, and the entire neighborhood looks empty, until a person invades my view. Looking closer, I can tell it's a girl, and she looks really familiar, but as she walks forward, I recognize her. It's Maria.
"Maria?" I say to myself, pulling up the window, a shiver running up my spine at the sudden change in temperature from my house. It's definitely her, and she's standing outside my window, shivering and soaked from head to toe.
"Maria? What's wrong?" I ask, beckoning her forward. I push the window open as far as it can go, and move back from the window, allowing her to climb in if she wants to.

OOC Opps LOL!

Suprisingly enough he doesn't immediately turn away. In fact he opens the window and asks,
"Maria? What's wrong?" He gestures for me to come forward as he pushes the window open as far as it can go, and moves back from the window. Relucatntly I take a couple of steps forward. Climbing in I pause when we lock eyes.
It's then that I realize he must think I'm crazy. Here I am battered and dripping all over his floor.
"Um.. I'm sorry. I didn't know where else to go." I choke out the tears spilling forth.

"Um.. I'm sorry. I didn't know where else to go." She says, climbing into the window, tears in her eyes. Oh god, what happened? I see another, newer mark on her face, and I realize what must have happened. There's no way in hell that happened because she fell.
I look around my room quickly for something to warm her up with, since she's still shivering. Thank god my mother is a freak about laundry, and leaves it on my dresser. Grabbing a large towel, I wrap it around her shoulders and move back, examining her face.
"It's not a problem. You're welcome here," I murmur quietly. She looks so broken, and so cold. Considering how cold I was from just opening the window for a second, she must be freezing. The bruise on her face looks terrible, and there's a small cut that's bleeding on her cheek. Not caring anymore, I wave my hand over her face and watch as the marks disappear.
