I'm kinda confused when Alex starts suggesting that Liz not be part of this. I was really looking forward to having an excuse to hang out with her a little and become better friends. And Alex had been the one who suggested that she become involved in the first place.

Frowning, I check the rear-view mirror as I leave the parking lot. She does look a litte uncertain.

"I hope you'll stay," I add. "You're her room-mate. It would be great if you could help us figure out what she's thinking. You know, if any of the stuff we try is working, or what to try instead."

Elizabeth Evans great to have you back! :D :D :D

great parts! :D

ALEX

There is a momentary silence after Max's comment, all attention focused on Liz, who really seems uncomfortable.

"Uh, ..." she glances at me before answering, "I feel like someone who's hired from the CIA to spy for them but ... since it will be for a good cause "here she winks at me, "I think I can try to help ... a bit."

"That's great." Max says softly and Tess is grinning too.

"With Jake being with us tonight," Tess is rolling her eyes while saying that, causing me to grin - looks like i'm not the only one who's not too fond of him, "this is the perfect chance to make her realize that Alex is sooo much better for her."

"I totally agree!" I say cheerfully but then I think for a moment and can't help asking, "And how are we gonna do that? I mean, unless someone throws her into the sea and holds her under water, I can't do a "saving the damsel in mistress" routine like Michael did with maria ..."

"Nice idea, really." Tess says while shaking her head. "But I was thinking more like ... being the perfect gentleman to everyone, making her see what a stud you are."

I can't help but laugh at that, yeah sure ... me the stud. Tess just glares at me, making me shut up immediately and mouthing a silent "sorry" to her.

"Or like flirting with some girl who is like ... hanging on every word you say?" Liz asks quietly, looking straight ahead at Max's head. I'm unsure if she's just staring into space or if she found some fascination with Max's hair.

I still feel a bit bad for dragging Liz into this but she doesn't seem that upset about it ... or she's just a great actress, I don't know. I just hope that she isn't angry at me for involving her so much with Max and Tess.

okay, I know that didn't make any sense - sorry :(

I follow the van out of the parking lot, letting them get a little ahead. Maybe we can take some extra time to talk.

I'm a little confused about Liz's comment about flirting. There's a tone in her voice I can't quite figure out. Does she mean that she and Alex should try flirting during the beach party to get Isabel's attention? I guess that could work, although I'm not much liking the image in my mind. Besides, if Isabel's busy with Jake, she might not even notice.

"We might have to do something to distract Jake, too," I comment.

"Like what?" Alex asks.

"Well," I say slowly trying to figure out something. "Maybe if someone chats him up, and gets him distracted, that would make Isabel less interested - he'd look a little fickle. Like Isabel wasn't the only one," I say. I'm not sure if that someone should be Tess or Liz. Neither one would really feel right, but somehow Tess seems safer. Leave Liz with Alex, as I know he's not interested in her.

Alex frowns. "Won't it look the same way if I'm flirting with someone-else, then?"

"It has to be different," Tess says. "Like you're only being friendly. Not like you're interested, really. But she has to look interested."

"Tess," I say as we're approaching the highway. Left will take us to the house but the right goes to the mall. "You were talking about Alex's clothes. They don't seem all that bad to me, but the truth is, we don't have a chaperone just now. Want to sneak off and do something?"

"Oh yes!" Tess exclaims happily. "That would be awesome."

"You sure that's wise?" Liz asks. "I mean, the producers won't be happy." I have to admit that Liz is right.

Tess turns around to us then, "True, they won't be happy but ... come on, they can only show what ... one hour maximum per day and since we are going down to the beach later, they'll get their hour. Besides, don't you want to enjoy the time without our camera-buddy following us?"

"She does have a point." I tell Liz. "Just like you do. But well, they can't really fire us, can they?"

"I guess not." Liz says, then smiling, "Okay, why not? Besides, we won't be gone for too long anyway."

"That's the spirit!" I grin at the other three, punching Liz playfully in the shoulder. "Sooo ladies, you wanna buy some bikinis and need Max and me as judges how they look on you?" I ask playfully, wiggling my eyebrows at them, not even trying to dodge Liz's little fist as it connects with my shoulder.

I'm staring out the window of the van, just waiting until we get to the house. Not that I have any plans for after we get there, anyway. But it's the next transition. I happen to glance in the side-mirror and notice that max's jeep has taken a different turn and isn't following us any more.

I wonder if I should say something, so we can follow after them. Would it help me if we did? I decide not to bother. If Max is a little late getting back, maybe it'll give me more time to come up with something at the house to rain on his parade a little.

"You know what?" Kyle says. "We probably don't really have good barbeque supplies at the house. Do you think we should stop at the grocery store?"

I scowl at that. "I'm not going shopping with you, Valenti. Just drop me off at the house."

Kyle looks at me like I've grown an extra head. "Get with the program, Mike. We're supposed to be working together. You can give me a hand."

Mike? Did he just call me Mike? "My name is Michael," I tell him, with a growl.

He looks like he's been stung. "Okay. Michael, then," he says, rolling his eyes. "We're gonna go buy some burgers and stuff."

I cross my arms over my chest. I do NOT want to go shopping, but unfortunately, Kyle has control of the car. Still scowling, I wonder if I can turn it to my advantage. Yeah. Maybe I can pick up something that'll put the whammy on ole' Max.

I know, I know, I’m NOT Kyle but … well, I’d like this to reach 100 pages and a Kyle POV wasn’t posted in a while … if you don’t like it, I’ll delete it baby_bre!

KYLE

I’m starting to think that Michael has some serious issues. I mean, if looks could kill, I’d be dead and that just because I called him “Mike”. Okay, I don’t want to be called “Kylie” either but still.

Maybe Alex is right and we shouldn’t help Michael with … with … with making Max look bad or so. I’m not really sure what this is about anyway. True, I like some of the girls who really seem to be all over Evans. Well, Isabel already found a new lover boy, so I can count her out but the other three …

Well, Max and Tess seem closest so I might have chances with Liz or Tess. Hmm, we’ll see.

I take the next turn, trying to find a store where we can buy the supplies we’ll most likely need. “If we are lucky,” I say to “MICHAEL”, “Max and the others have the same idea we have, so we have food for a few days.”

Great parts and it's fine, I really am not a very good Kyle lol... I forgot and am too tired to check, but we took Isabel's car right?

Maria

We pull up in front of our first shop, sliding out of Isabel's car, I grab my purse and head towards the door, I'm sure she'll follow seeing as we're planning on shopping together.

Normally when I go shopping I never know what to buy, but Isabel does look like someone who would actually know what to spend money on, I mean look how she dresses.

"So, how are things?" I ask her with a wink, letting her know who I am hinting about.

I know it's lame and reeeeeeeeeaaallly short but lol

I was really hoping for a Liz post, but I guess I'll go on without her. :(
Meanwhile, your Kyle post was good. Nice to see his POV again. Maybe if Bre doesn't want him, you can take over in the role? Double up? Just a thought.

When we get to the supermarket, I'm able to ditch Valenti by volunteering to pick up the beer. Unfortunately since we have two cameramen, I can't seem to avoid being filmed. Fortunately, I know everyone on the show is busy just now, so they can't be logging in to watch the webcam. Not that we're allowed to, anyway, but I know there are ways around that.

I quickly grabs some brews and then take a look around. This isn't exactly the red-light district, but I'm able to pick up some magazines and some other 'questionable' material. A secret smile crosses my face as I start to contemplate what I might be able to do with it.

I meet Kyle at the check-out where he's got loads of food for the night's entertainment. "What's this?" I ask as I pick up one of the items after it's been scanned. "Veggie burgers?"

Kyle nods. "Just in case someone might prefer that," he says. "Don't worry, I got plenty of the regular kind and some steaks, too."

I shrug as the rest of the order gets rung up.

I've never really been all that fond of shopping, but I'm actually having a nice time with Liz and Tess and Alex. We got three sharp looking outfits for him, including a new watch. I even picked up a couple new shirts for myself.

Then we wander into the ladies' department. I wonder if there's something here that would be good for Liz's birthday, and if there's any way I could buy it without her seeing me, if I found it.

"Hey, why don't you try this on, Lizzy-beth," Alex says. I notice he's holding up a hanger with a very skimpy bikini.

Liz turns red. "I already have three suits here, Alex. I don't need another. Especially one like that."

I nod at that, as a small smile crosses my face. "I liked that one you were wearing our first night here," I tell her. It hadn't been quite as small as the one Alex is suggesting, but it was certainly enough to show her fine body.

Tess, slaps me across the upper arm. "Hey!" I say. "Yours was cute, too." Shaking my head, I turn around. "How about a beach dress? This one is nice. You could wear it tonight. And this blue on one would look great on Tess."

Liz is shaking her head, but Alex presses on. "Just try it, Liz."

Reluctantly, both girls select the appropriate dress in their sizes and head for the changing room. I take six quick steps over to the accessories tables. I'm not going to buy a girl a purse; I have no idea what they'd want. There is some nice jewelery there, but that might be too personal...

great parts :)
we could also make Kyle into some kind of "round robin" character: whoever needs a Kyle, writes a Kyle
he isn't my favourite character, but I hope this POVs okay

KYLE

Great, Guerin ditches me and I have to buy everything alone and then he has the nerve to be against my choice of burgers. What would Buddha do in such a situation?

"What did you get?" I ask him, after paying for our things and waiting for the cameramen to get all their equipement into the car.

"Uh, just something I'll need later." He crypically replies with a smug grin before getting into the passenger seat. "You coming? There's a hockey game I'd like to see."

Climbing behind the wheel, I can't help but ask. "You having swim shorts?" he just gives me a blank stare, so I continue, "for swimming. The sea is ..."

"I know what you mean." He interrupts me. "But why would I like to swim?"

"Well, the girls probably will ... wearing bikinis or so ..." I trail off unsure. I mean, isn't that the purpose of bonfire's with adults? Swimming with skimpy outfits?

ALEX

"Looking hot Tess!" I say when the blonde comes out from the dressing room. "Lets hope that you can be saved from all the oggling guys at the beach and that your bodyguard will be able to protect you." I tell her with a grin, winking at Max.

"Why thank you Mr. Whitman." Tess banters back. "If I wouldn't know you better, I'd say you were flirting but you seem to favour taller blondes than me."

"Touché!" I quip back as Tess walks over to Max, with a gentle sway of her hips, whispering something to Max.

Looking down, I have to sigh at the four shopping bags. *MY* four shopping bags! I never needed more than one when buying something and today, I shopped with two girls and have four! Okay, all good looking stuff that will hopefully help me get some points with Isabel but still ... Four!

"Hey Parker! You can't hide forever - get out!" I say to Liz ... well, her changing room.

"Coming, coming." she mutters as she steps out and I can't help but whistle, causing Liz to blush. Wow! I made a girl blush - there's still hope for me!

"Alex!" Liz cries, looking down. What? she doesn't like compliments?

"You look awesome Liz! You have to buy this!" Tess gushes all over her and even Max has a ... I don't know ... dazed look, I guess. Good thing that Tess isn't seeing how he looks at Liz - she surely wouldn't like it.

Liz appears unsure, so I say "She's right, Liz. It seems to be made for you. With an outfit like this, men will be lying at your feet ... even cool guys like Michael." I add with a chuckle, trying to imagine Mr. Cool lying at Liz's feet.

Hmmph. Of course I have a suit. I'm the one who used to work as a life-guard, afterall. Whether I go swimming or not is another thing. Although seeing the girls in their swimwear will be fun.

"Whatever," I say to Kyle, dismissively. I really don't feel I have any use for him at the moment. Like it goes - you're either with me or against me. Kyle and Alex have already said they're not with me on this, but I will do something to knock Evans off his throne. Somehow.

I load the beer in the van with Kyle's food, although I keep the other bag of stuff with me as Kyle drives back to the house with our two camera men. Now, to just figure out the perfect way to use them.

"Do we know where this fiasco is going to be?" I ask.

"Sure," Kyle says. "Maria has a membership at a private beach club near the house. It'll be great."

Was I supposed to know that? Maybe somebody did mention it, but I hardly see why I have to pay attention to everything people say.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

*MAX*

Tess looks amazing in the beach dress. I can hardly speak as I look at her. Fortunately, Alex speaks for both of us, urging the girl to purchase the garment. She comes over, whispering in my ear and causing me to blush. I wish I didn't turn red so easily.

Then Liz comes out. I don't know how it could be possible, but she looks even better than Tess. Gawd. Somebody's gonna be the luckiest guy on earth when she hooks up with him.

'cool guys like Michael,' Alex says. I thought Michael went out with Maria last night. Is he after Liz now? I feel something in my stomach turn over as Liz says, "There might be more to Michael than you imagine. I don't think he's as shallow as he seems."

I bite my lip, completely unable to reply to that. Why would someone try to appear more shallow than they are? It doesn't make sense to me. And why would Liz seem to be interested by that.

I try to change the subject - "Well, I hope you do get the dress, Liz. You look georgous in it."
