Alex
Isabel comes back and hands me a coke with a quick "Here you go." Then she dims the lights, and I look over at her. I mean, sure we're watching a movie, but I still can't get it out of my head that we're in her room yet.
She comes over to sit next to me, and I lean up into a sitting position so she's got room, embarrassed that I was taking up so much space. "Thanks," I say for the drink, and I start the movie.
We watch for a few minutes in silence, and I try to get into it. "Wait, so she's moving in with her dad now?" I ask, a little confused. I've never seen this movie before, so I have no idea what's going on, other than the dancing thing.

"A-ha...she has no where else to go.So even though she's never really known her father,something is better than nothing.Right?" I inform him without taking my eyes off the screen
"You're not getting bored are you?" I ask anxiously turning to look at him,after a few minutes,when nothing important is happening on screen

Isabel explains it, and I just believe what she's saying, because it makes enough sense. We continue to watch the movie in silence, and I have to admit, not out loud of course, that it isn't that bad. At least, not as bad as I thought it would be.

Is it just me or is Alex as nervous as me?Glancing at him from the corner of my eye I notice he seems pretty relaxed and is watching the screen intently.Okay,so it's just me.WONDERFUL!!
Goodness!!Anyone can cut the tension in this room with a knife.What's the matter with me?I need to get over this 'going to go nowhere' crush I have on him.We are just friends.

We go back to watching the movie, and I notice that she's glancing at me like she's nervous. But how could she be, at least, she can't be nervous for the same reasons I am, right? I mean, I guess I'm just good at hiding it.
Maybe she's worrying if I like the movie. That's probably it. "It's actually not bad," I tell her, smiling. "I mean, I was expecting something really sappy."

I am just about to reply to his comment when my room is plunged in to darkness and it seems like the street lamps have also gone out.This must be a black out.
"Oh shoot." I mutter as I sit up trying to accustom my eyes to the darkness.It takes me a few seconds but eventually I can make out vague shapes of the furniture in my room thanks to the moonlight,streaming in through my window.
"There are some candles in one of my study table drawers." I inform Alex and gingerly get up,trying to avoid his legs as he's on the side of the bed which is closer to the study table

"Oh shoot." Isabel says, mirroring my, "What the?"
It take my eyes a moment to adjust, and I figure it must be a blackout. We get them occasionally, and the streetlights are off so it makes sense.

She gets up at the same time as I do, remembering seeing her study table when I came in, which was a bad mistake. As she tries to get over, I lift up my arm, knocking her legs out from under her. "Oomph," I let out, noticing that she's fallen on me. "Oh, sorry," I mutter, trying to untangle myself, glad she can't see how embarrassed I am because of the dark.

"No no it's okay." I assure him hastily as I get up of him.Geez! That was so damn embarrassing.Thank god for the darkness. I'm sure I must look like a member of the beetroot family right about now.
"I hope I didn't hurt you.' I ask as I step off the bed and begin rummaging in the drawer for the candle before I finally find one along with a lighter.Setting it on the table I light it.It's my coffee bean scented aromatherapy candle.Maria talked me in to buying it.
"There you go." I say twirling around "Now at least we can see what we're doing instead of nearly injuring each other." I can't help but chuckle as I say that,in retrospest it was quite funny the way we both fell on top of each other
