I'm about to do the nice guy thing and ask if I can help when Liz turns her attention to Max. Seeing Kyle and Tess having a chat too, I turn to Isabel with a curious look.
"Hey, you look tired." I lean over, brushing some hair behind her ear. "You sure you can drive yourself? Cause I won't mind driving you to your place and to get you tomorrow so you can get your car."

I ignore the glare Liz shoots my way,totally used to her giving me dirty looks after so many years of friendship. "Why don't we just call it a night. Do any of you guys need to stay here for the night? I've got plenty of room and I don't want anyone to drive home drunk."
Thank goodness! I think I would have slept on the floor right here had we carried on for another hour or so.
"I think I'll head on off back home Liz." I tell her getting up off the floor and dusting my knees, besides I don't want to be in the same house where my brother and Liz...eeekkk...let me get that thought out of my head before I have nightmares.
"Hey, you look tired.You sure you can drive yourself? Cause I won't mind driving you to your place and to get you tomorrow so you can get your car." Alex asks me
I turn to him with a smile and stroke his cheek,noticing the concern in his eyes and my heart melts,"Thanks Alex but I think I can drive myself home besides I don't want to trouble you.It's late enough as it is." I motion for him to wait "Let me get my things and we can walk out together."
Stepping in to the room where I had left my purse and jacket,I retrieve them before saying bye to the others,"Goodnight everyone! Thanks for the party Liz,fun as always.I'll see you all tomorrow.Kyle you better take care of my friend." I give him a threatening look before winking at Tess and hugging her and Liz
"Alex are you going to walk me to my car?" I ask him softly and hold my hand out for him to take

It wouldn't really be trouble but before I can say that Isabel goes to gather her things. Of course, she's yawning again. She really shouldn't be driving.

"Gladly." I comment just as softly as she ask and take her hand in mine before saying goodbye to the others and leading the way out. "Okay, if you don't want me to drive you home, I'll drive home after you to make sure you get home safe." She can't really stop me from driving around in my car, now can she?
Seeing her starting to protest, I quickly add, "I'd sleep better if I know you got home safe."

As we reach my car he says,"Okay, if you don't want me to drive you home, I'll drive home after you to make sure you get home safe."
I turn to object sionce that makes no real sense,him driving all the way to my side of town and then driving back at this ungodly hour all the way back this side of town.
"I'd sleep better if I know you got home safe."
"Oh all right." I relent huffily even though part of me is so thrilled that he is being so protective of me.Getting in to my car I wait for him to get his before I pull out on to the road,making sure he's behind me as I head for home.
As we reach my car he says,"Okay, if you don't want me to drive you home, I'll drive home after you to make sure you get home safe."

Okay, so I might get a bit on her nerves (already!) with my worrying but still better than not driving after her and her having an accident without anyone there to help.
Quickly, I head to my car (damn, didn't even kiss her!) and drive in a safe distance behind Isabel. Yawning every now and then, I sing a bit along with the radio while making sure that I remember where I am so I can find home without getting lost later on.
When we reach her place - Isabel has a nice neighborhood - I get out of the car, yawn once before closing the door and head over to Isabel with a grin.
"Looks like you made it home safely and aside from me, no one else was following you."

"Looks like you made it home safely and aside from me, no one else was following you." Alex says and I chuckle as I close my car door and make sure that the other doors are locked as well

"Well, of course I'll walk you." he says and I can hear his footsteps behind me as we take the stairs leading up to my apartment on the first floor
Once we reach my front door I poke around in my purse for a moment before retrieving the key and turning it in the lock and pull an unsuspecting Alex inside and lock the door behind me.
"Now you didn't think I would let you drive at this hour of the night all the way back to your side of town?" I ask him with my hands on my hips "You can sleep in the guest bedroom and if I remember correctly there is an old but clean pair of boxers and a t-shirt my dad left behind the last time he was here.They're in the cupboard." I say pointing in the direction of the room
Entering my kitchen I fill a glass of water for myself and gulp it down.

One moment I'm standing besides Isabel watching her look for her keys, wondering if I should leave now before things get too awkward and in the next moment, I'm inside her apartement (let me repeat that: I'm inside Isabel Evans apartement - at night!).
I must look pretty confused and am about to ask what Isabel has planned when I notice her giving me a stern look with her hands on her hips. I fight a smile, knowing that *cute and adorable* isn't the look she's going for with that stance.
"Now you didn't think I would let you drive at this hour of the night all the way back to your side of town? You can sleep in the guest bedroom and if I remember correctly there is an old but clean pair of boxers and a t-shirt my dad left behind the last time he was here.They're in the cupboard."
Before I can utter a word, Isabel turns and walks into another room and I hear her tinkering around. Running a hand through my hair, I briefly glance around, noticing that the place is tidy and neat as far as I can tell and also gives off a home-feeling.
Realizing that Isabel won't be coming back soon, I walk after her, finding myself in the kitchen - small but nice - where she is drinking water. When I see her giving me a challenging look, I can't help but smile.
Quickly walking over to her, I put my arms around her waist, somehow managing to not knock the glass out of her hands and kiss her forehead before resting my cheek against the side of her head.
"Thank you for the offer, Iz but I don't want to intrude or anything. I'll be fine driving home, really."
Of course, I yawn after saying that and chuckle slightly embarrassed. "I'm more awake than it appears, I promise."
