The disbelief evident along her playful features I attempt to keep a straight face. Stepping outside I watch her lock the door behind us.

"No really I don't." I repeat once more.

"Just because he's sexy, smart, and cares about me. That doesn't mean I am going to become one of those girls whose IQ drops ten poimts whenever she's around a total hottie." I ramble on and it is then that I realize the extent of my feelings.

"Uh Oh. I got it bad." I sigh looking to my new best friend for sympathy.

"Uh Oh. I got it bad."

She turns to me for support and burst out laughing

"oh im sorry Ria but it's just soo cute!"

"aww now i want a boy toy!" im doubled over laughing as we walk down the hall.Leaning over i hug Ria ,

"i don't know him all that well but im sure he's an excellent person if he caught your attention"

"oh im sorry Ria but it's just soo cute!" she explodes in laughter. I want to be aggravated but with an expression like that I just don't have the heart.

"aww now i want a boy toy!" she leans over and embraces me in a hug. I flinch at first. Growing up with Hank any physical contact I was given was nothing close to a hug. This is a new experience for me. Showing affection.

"i don't know him all that well but im sure he's an excellent person if he caught your attention" she replies with a sweet look.

Smiling I do my best valley girl impression. "Totally, he is so fetch. I wonder if I make the cheerleading squad maybe he'll ask me to go steady or even better hopefully my night in shining denim will pin me. "

Realizing the implication I just accidently made I blush profusely.

"I meant pin me like they did in the 50's with an actual pen. Not uh... " My voice trails off and my cheeks grow hot.

"You know what I mean." I finsh lamely.

"Totally, he is so fetch. I wonder if I make the cheerleading squad maybe he'll ask me to go steady or even better hopefully my night in shining denim will pin me. "

"ohh yeah" i say in my deepest voice

"aww dont worry hun, i get what you mean.." sobering up i give her serious look

"and i think it sincredibly sweet" hugging her again

"come on ,dont wanna be late" and i run down the hallway

"bet i beat you to the car" i scream over my shoulder

ohh yeah" she says in a tone that informs me that shes about to crack up.

"aww dont worry hun, i get what you mean.." she assures me her joyful face growing serious.

"and i think it sincredibly sweet" she hugs me once more and thi time I hug her back. Hey maybe I'm gtting the hang of this friendship thing. I've never been able to show emotions well. Slowly but surely Tess is teaching me all sorts of things.

"come on ,dont wanna be late" she jets off in a dead run leaving me bewildered.

"bet i beat you to the car" she yells causing me to grin widely.

i slam into the car at a hundred miles an hour

"ow" im still laughing to hard to actually feel any pain

"narny narny na! i won!"panting hard i jump in the drivers seat.
