Isabel talks to Alex and I start thinking about where to take her. She probably expects some upper class restaurant but I don't think I can afford that. Hm, maybe a nice italian restaurant will do the trick too.
I have to admit, it is hard not to smirk at Michael who really doesn't look happy about me dating Isabel tomorrow night.
Hm, since Max and Tess finally arrived (holding hands of course), Maria is the only one missing and we should soon be on the road.
"Ready for tonight?" I ask Tess who is standing slightly behind me.

"Ready for tonight?" Kyle asks me when Max and I walk into the room and stop right behind the couch where he's sitting.
I smile down at him and reply, "Yeps, I'm ready to par-tay!" Okay, so maybe I'm a little overly excited but come on, it's going to be a fun night, parties always are. "How about you, Valenti, you look like you're ready to get your groove thang on," I add, giving him the once-over. He looks damn fine in those black jeans and that tight, white shirt. He's not as well dressed as Max is, standing next to me in his black button-down shirt and smart red tie, but I think the casual look befits him well.

See, that's so great about being single: you can go on a date (or a few dates) with one hot chick and at the same time flirt with others without having to worry about someone being pissed at you.
"I definately will enjoy myself tonight." I tell Tess with a smug look. And tomorrow night too if I have anything to say about it. "You surely intent to not just sit in a corner and have fun going on instead, don't you?" I ask Tess back.

OOC -- We still have no post from Maria. *sigh* I hope you don't mind if I bring her in...

Looks like almost everyone's about ready as Tess and I get to the livingroom. I'm glad to see we're not the last to arrive. Alex looks to me with a question in his eyes and I give him a slight nod, hoping he'll understand that all is under control.
I keep my hand in Tess's as I look around at the group. Michael and Kyle are still dressed as they'd been at work, but it's enough to pass the dress-code at the restaurant. The girls, 'though...
"Wow, Liz. You look amazing," I manage to say, ignoring Tess's friendly chatter with Kyle. I figure it's safe to compliment Liz since I already praised Tess and well, she is the birthday girl. "You, too, Isabel. Fantastic, both of you," I say, including everyone. "These three are going to be the most beautiful girls in the place," I say.
"Three?"
It's Maria's voice and I can almost hear the arch in it. Turning around, I have to admit she looks great, too. (Anyone-else want to take a guess as to what she's wearing? 'cause I don't know.)
"Make that four," I say with a smile and then I check my watch. "Looks like we're all ready to go -- and we're still right on schedule. Who is the birthday girl going to ride with?" I hope it's me or Alex because I don't want her walking into the restaurant until all of us are there to see her expression when she sees her family and friends. If all goes as planned, they'll be gathered at half of a big table, waiting for the eight of us to fill in the rest...

ALEX
I grin when Max quickly corrects the "three beautiful girls" to "four" when Maria arrives and he's right - there are 4 stunning women with me and the other guys - every other male in the restaurant will be so jealous of us.
"You wanna ride with me, Liz?" I immediately ask Liz after Max questions her. Liz has the ability to cheer me up and I need some cheering up right now. But then again, I don't think that Isabel intended to drive herself and since her *date* has no car.
Hm, maybe she is only going out with him because she pities him! Okay, good, I admit, not very likely but ... a desperate man needs to have some hope.

"You surely intent to not just sit in a corner and have fun going on instead, don't you?" Kyle asks me.
"Of course not. I fully intend on dancing my heart out, and celebrating with the birthday girl... and I expect at least one dance out of you, Valenti, so keep that in mind." I add in for good measure. I figure, why not have fun with two gorgeous men, right? I mean, it's not like Max and I are dating exclusively or anything, because dude, we've only known each other for like, one week anyway.
Just then Max asks which car Liz is going to ride in, and Alex jumps in immediately asking if she wants to ride with him. Hmmm, I bet this has something to do with what they were hiding from me when I walked in on them in their room, but hey, whatever it is, we'll all find out soon enough, I guess.

I'm pleased that Liz is going with Alex. That'll work out well. And if Kels or any of the others should call me, then there won't be any danger of Liz overhearing the conversation. I give Alex a nod. It's all working out.
"Okay -- So anybody else want to come with Tess and me?" I ask.
Michael gets up and for a second I think he's actually going to ask to ride with us but when he speaks, it's clear that was never on his mind. In fact, he acts as if Alex and I hadn't even spoken. "I'll catch a ride with you, Maria," he says. "Anyone-else coming?"

"I think I'll go with Max." I tell Michael, after all, the guy practically offered to drive me. I bet Michael's pissed that I'm siding with "the enemy" but well, that guy has serious issues!
"What about you?" I ask Isabel with a smile. Maybe she'll come with us and I can find out where she'd like ot go so I can find something that is similar but cheaper. But she'll probably go with Alex and Liz, those three are spending lots of time together after all.
Tess will surely drive with Max so even if Isabel doesn't join us, there'll be another hot blonde.

“What about you?” Kyle asks me with a smile.
Should go with Kyle and co or should I keep to my original plan of going with Alex and Liz? Choices, choices, choices. I wonder if Kyle is expecting me to go with him since we have that date thing tomorrow, hmmm, maybe I should play hard to get. I did accepted his date offer a little quick. Nope, there is no point in changing my original plan just because I’m going on a date with him tomorrow.
“I was going to go with Alex and Liz.” I state, “Is that okay with you, Alex?”

"Well, looks like everyone has a place. Let's all be on our way," I suggest, cheerfully. "We don't want to miss our reservations."
I get to my feet and hold out a hand to Tess. She takes it and we head out to the car. I steal a glance at Liz who looks happy but unconcerned. Meanwhile, I'm so excited that it's all I can do to keep acting normal. I just can't wait to see how this all turns out. I hope she likes it, that she's doesn't get mad or something. I really don't think she'd get mad about something like this, but then I've known her for less than a week. Still, I remind myself that Liz's family and friends all thought this would be a great idea when I called, too. If anyone would know if there was a chance this could backfire, it would be them.
Having assured myself, I secure my smile and continue out to the car.
