"It's different..." I said with a smile. "I don't know how to explain in...but I feel like I changed..for the better. I'm not the same girl I was when I left, Don't get me wrong...my moral are still the same and everything--but I see everything in a new light." the bell rang...While I started to put my stuff away..."Oh..Max..I almost forgot...Look my birthday is tomorrow..and um.. Dave..my Dad is having I don't know..something for me...I guess." I handed him the envelop. "And I um..he is very overprotective on who comes I guess...so he wants you to come, and I do too. Along with you sister Isabel and friend Michael. They can bring along there boyfriend and girlfriend I'm sure, but no one else please...I don't want my Dad to go A wall on me." He looked at the paper questionably, "don't worry..It's not a make out party or anything". I smiled at him. "but umm..his only request was that we meet at the Vasquez Rocks...do you know where they are at?" I asked him. "Please say that you'll be there Max..." I waited for his answer.

"Er, yeah ok" I said wondering why on earth he would be invited to some random rocks in the desert by a guy he didn't even know. "Yeah I know where they are. Id better drive Michael though or he'll get lost. He's not good with a map." I took the envelope. "Well thanks. I'd better go. See ya later Liz" I said walking off. Soon I was down by the pitch again, and shooting some hoops.
I was actually somewhat disappointed it wasn't a make out party....that would have been fun...if he was with Liz of course.
God shes beautiful. I tried to shoot a hoop......and missed by a mile.

"Whoa. What's wrong?" I asked walking up to Max. "And don't say nothing because I know there is. You never miss by that much." I said taking the ball, shooting and scoring.
"Have you seen Liz yet?" he said bluntaly shootingand yetagain missing.
"Liz? No. I thought you were over her."
"Hell no. Have you seen her! She looks amazing she's got blond highlights and..." I was about to shoot when I stopped.
"She's wearing a red dress? That was her! Whooaaaaa! Man!"
"Oh thanks Michael" Max said snatching the ball back. "Oh we're going out tomorrow night to her birthday thing. Tommorow night at Vasquez Rocks. I'll drive." He then just walked off...leaving me standing alone.

I went through my morning lessons in a total daze. I didn't get called on it but I wasn't listening to a word. I muddled my way through and got to lunch. I walk over and sat in the quad feeling confused, and miserable that I had ever chosen a career over Liz. Even though I had to....
I wish it was all over.

Liz:
I didn't know what to do over lunch period...the day passed quickly. I took out my journal and sat under a tree and started to write. in the distance I could see Max, Isabel, Michael and there friends laughing--and having a good time. But I was just happy that I wasn't in the library, studing my heart out. I mean I already had the highest scores in the entire West Roswell District. I continued to write in my journal the one thing that I found out before I headed to Flordia...but never bothered to tell anyone. I thought that going away would make it go away...but it didn't. It started when I kissed Max in the eraser room. when we kissed--I saw things...I saw him and I kissing on the vasquez rocks--we had two small children with us..we were happy...and everything was a tint of red. I didn't know what it meant, I still don't. But once I got home...I started to discover...that I...i... this is going to be really wierd to say...but I have powers. I started blasting stuff..this serg of energy comming from deep within me. For some reason...it felt right.. Like this was always the thing I was suppose to be. I can't explain it any further than that. I looked up to see a guy comming towards me...I didn't know who it was...but hey I was in the mood to make new friends.
Guy: "Hey..there...I saw you from across the quad and may I say..you are beautiful--and I was wondering If I could have you number?"
Liz:
I looked at him and smiled flaterly. "Yeah..I'd really like to but umm..you see I don't have a phone". I shrugged my shoulders, gathered my stuff and started to get up when he took me by the arm and spun me around.
Guy:
"don't give me that bullshit...You see when I ask you for my number...your suppose to give it to me--now cough it up...NOW"
Liz:
"Go to hell" I shouted. "Now, let go of me--" I spit in his face.
Guy:
"Bitch". he shouted as he tighted his grip on her.
Liz:
"Let go of me..." I struggled his grasp.. as he started to feel me up...his laughter was taunting...Where were all the teachers at when you wanted them. I looked at the corner of my eye, and saw Max--My Max--well..you know...run towards us.

Michael and Isabel joined me soon after and were convinced they could cheer me up. Just to make them happy I faked laughed for them. But I can't help but to keep staring Liz. Michael said I was "possesed". I think Im going crazy.
So Im staring at Liz when this guy goes over to her. One of the jerks jocks I new that would instantly want her phone number. I was right. I felt sick. But then Liz shakes her head. And I can't believe it.
But then he wouldn't back off. I could tell it was aboyt to get ugly so I rushed to Liz to help. When I was almost there I slowed to a jock stride pace.
"Hey man. Do me a favour. Get off her before I have to kick your ass. She said no. Live with it. And mate if your think you're gonna beat me up please remember who I am. You know, football captain, basketbal captain and Im also good at martial arts. So I would leave now buddy.
He gave me a frightened rabbit look and ran.
"Liz , are you ok?" I asked worried. I take a look at her and all I want to do is kiss her, to feel her lips on mine again. I flash back to the eraser room.
"No not now" I tell my self, "she's hurt."
"Liz?"

I could see his mouth moving..but I didn't hear anything. "umm..I guess I'm just a bit shaken up..." I looked at my arm. " and this bruise that is forming right now...but other than that I'm fine--you don't know how much that meant to me Max...Thank you." I gave him a quick hug. "um...I'll let you get back to your friends..go ahead..I'm fine." I told him. But he didn't leave...he started to say something instead.

I saw a girl hugging Max..."Hey guys what did I miss...and who is that girl?" I asked the group hoping someone would answer me.
