It's a litle later than I had planned. And it's not the greatest, but here's what I have.

~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ Liz ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~ ~*~

“C’mon, Liz! Let’s get ‘im!”
I laugh as my eyes look over at Max who’s currently keeping Kyle away from me. Somehow, getting Kyle doesn’t seem like the best way to keep myself from getting dunked into the ocean like the rest of them. It’s then that I see both Michael and Maria fall into the water and come back up gasping for air and laughing as they try to figure out who’s the one that dunked the other.
Out of nowhere I feel arms come around me and lift me out of the water. My feet no longer in contact with the solid ground, a scream escapes my mouth. As soon as I realize that I’m no longer standing, I notice that I’m falling. Things move in slow motion and there’s nothing that I can do to stop everything from happening. I simply close my eyes and let it happen. Water splashes away from me before moving to envelope me. Salt water fills my mouth, and I fight to regain my footing.
Finally figuring out which way’s up and locating the ground, I push myself up out of the water, smoothing my now slick hair away from my face. Water sheets off my body, gravity pulling it away from my skin as I cough and sputter and laugh. After all the trouble of trying to escape Kyle, someone else managed to grab me and pull me down.
I’m standing, and I’m wet, and I can’t stop laughing. I turn to my side to see who had done that.
“Alex!” I manage to exclaim between my peals of laughter. I just can’t stop. Maybe it was the surprise of it all. Maybe it was because I was totally off-guard. Maybe it was because it was Alex. Whatever it was, it was almost unbearably funny.

Both Max and I look around when Liz screams - just in time to see her and Alex fall back into the water. So much about keeping Liz try, Max surely concentrated on the wrong guy.
"Way to go, Whitman!" I yell over at him in victory. I don't know why I feel like I won something but I just do. Liz is still laughing and Alex is grinning back at me, giving me a thumbs up.
Suddenly, Evans is next to me grinning evilly and before I can comprehend what's going on, I'm underwater - again. Getting up quickly, I'm disappointed to see that Max is already a few feet away from me. Coward!
"Great job Max." Tess congratulats him and he winks at her. Which means, that he can't see me. So, smart as I am, I motion to Liz to throw him in since she's closest to me. Still giggling, she shakes her head but when Alex also starts coaxing her, she shakes her head and ... Max goes down.
WHen he comes up, I have to laugh even harder, it's almost comical how shocked he looks that little Liz threw him in. I'm about to say something smart, when suddenly, I'm once again pushed into the water.
Tess will pay for that one, that's for sure!
ALEX
Looks like everyone's been dumped so far. Well, as far as dunking yourself counts in my case. I'm just glad that Liz is laughing, obviously not upset about being wet. We both laugh when Kyle goes down and comes up, sputtering and gasping for breath.
Then he starts making signals and it takes me a few seconds to figure out what he wants. Of course, Liz knew from the start what he wants, smart as she is.
"Come on Liz, do it." I try to convince her to push Max into the water. Anything to keep her from attacking me. "It will give you a chance to talk to him after all."
That seems to do the trick and Mr. Evans finds himself pushed into the water. He looks rather shocked when he discovers the identity of his attacker but honestly, I wouldn't have expected that of Liz either if I were him.
So far, the others didn't decide to gang up on me, which is nice. As long as Isabel or Jake didn't sneak up on me, the chances of staying above the water are good for me.

“Way to go Whitman!” Kyle yells to Alex when Alex and Liz resurface from the water. I can’t believe he just dunked her hehe. Or rather, pulled her down with him when he fell backward, I can’t really tell which way it was.
Uh-oh, now I see Max grinning at Kyle like the devil himself, and seconds later Kyle is glubbing his way back up to the surface, swept off his feet by the taller man beside him. By now it’s completely obvious that there is a rivalry of sorts going on between them, so why not play a little bit of the devil’s advocate, I say?
“Great job Max.” I congratulate Max with a smile. He winks back at me. Man he’s hot when he’s trying to be all debonair… well, my plan worked, because Kyle is sneaking up on him now, and yep, there they go, with a little help from Liz, who I see needed a little coaxing from Alex. I bet he told her that it would be a plausible excuse to touch him, and she went for it. Get it any way you can, I guess.
Okay, I think it’s time to make things interesting again. I wade around Kyle till I’m behind him and dunk him while he’s still gloating about getting Max.
“Oh yeah, that’s 2-for-2 ladies and gentlemen!” I announce like a sports announcer, getting a high-five from Liz and a couple of laughs from Alex and Max. Kyle is once again finding his footing and slicking his hair back, revenge showing plainly on his face.
I grin back at him all innocent like, and slowly back peddle to a safer location, like near Alex. He’s looking back up to the shore, undoubtedly thinking about what Isabel and boy-toy are likely doing. I still feel sort of bad for him. So, to cheer him up and take his mind off them, I catch Liz’s eye and motion with my own eyes over to Alex and back to her. She understands my message, and nonchalantly scoots her way a little closer to where he’s standing. Once we’re in dunking range, we charge at him, and down he goes!
We tackled him like football defenders, sending him sprawling backwards with us falling with him, at each shoulder. A big splash of foamy water goes spraying out in all directions, dousing both Kyle and Max as we go down.
Alex comes up laughing his head off, and starts a water fight by plunking his hands, palms down, on top of the water, splashing anyone and everyone near him. Liz and I retaliate, forming a two-woman team, and she calls over to Maria to come help. “Maria! Get over here and help us whip the guys into shape!”
I add an enthusiastic, “Yeah! Come on,” and try not to squeal too much as I’m getting a barrage of water blasted in my face.
“Coming!” I hear Maria reply.

"Hey, that's not fear - three against one!" I yell in mock outrage.
Three against one because so far, Max, Klye and Michael are staying farther away from us, leaving me to defend myself alone. Cowards!
Do I even have to say that I don't stand a chance against our version of "Charlie's Angels"?
"If I'm getting the flu, then it is your fault." I manage to get out between laughing, splashing and trying not to drown.
"Yeah, because the water's so cold you big baby!" Maria mocks me. So much for trying to activate their maternal instincts.
"Well then, let the other guys join the fun too, would ya? Because I freely admit defeat against you three. See, I give up!" And with that I flop back into the water again. Of course, when I get up, I'm immediately dunked down again. Figures!
But the other two - Tess and Maria, who didn't dunk me, are at least turning their attention to the other three now too.
"HA HA!" Liz states smugly, staring up at me when I'm standing again. Then she grabs my hand and drags me back to the others where we all splash around like little kids.

“Ha Ha!” I say to Alex once he’s standing again. It was like a little payback for practically throwing me into the ocean. He understood fully well, too. I smile at him and brush the wet strands of hair behind my shoulders before taking his hand and dragging him over to the others, splashing water in every direction as we push through it.
We jump in with the others and the boys versus girls game soon became a free for all once I accidentally hit Tess with a spray of water when I was trying to get Kyle, and the same happened on the guys’ side of things when Kyle was aiming for Maria, but hit Alex instead.
I slowly crept back from the water fight to just watch, taking one step after another away from the others, going a little farther out into the ocean. There’s only so much you can see when you are constantly getting salt water poured on you from almost every direction imaginable.
I laughed when Maria and Tess staged a surprise combined attack, jumping on Michael and Kyle, their coordinated efforts bringing them all down, crashing into the water as another wave splashed over each of them. Seeing another wave come, I jumped up to stay above it, bouncing and bobbing lightly as it passed.
Hearing the others’ laughter and screams, the sound of water breaking against the shore, and watching Alex, Michael, Max, Kyle, Maria, and Tess playing in the surf while Isabel is calmly seated on the sand by the fire, I thought to myself, these are the people that are going to change my life. They all have something interesting about them, things that make them who they are, things that they will share with me, things that they will teach me, things that will change me from who I was to who I’m going to be. I barely know them, but I’m already thankful to have met each and every one of them. This is something I will never forget—something I don’t ever wish to forget.
Lost in my thoughts I didn’t see the other wave come in. It crashed down on me with a force we often forget that water possesses. The sound of water rushing over me, roaring in my ears, pushing and pulling me in every and any direction it wished. I was a puppet, the wave the puppeteer. Succumbing to the strength of the wave, I let the current do what it pleased, taking me closer to the shore. The entire time I’m almost laughing. I don’t need Alex to push me under. Nature does it just fine on her own.

I give Liz a broad smile as she single-handledly takes on Alex. I'm in the middle of everything, giving as good as I get, but somehow, I'm always glancing around to keep track of Tess and Liz. Not because they can't take care of themselves - they've certainly proven they can do that - but just because I like watching them. They're all wet and smiling, looking absolutely gorgeous. Especially Liz....
Damn it. Why can't I keep my mind on Tess? I know Liz is a lost cause...
With resolve, I turn away an join Alex in an attack against Maria. When I look back again, I see Liz going down under a sizable wave. Tess gives me a huge splash and I look back out into the ocean to see Liz get back up. Except she doesn't.
In the next instant, I'm half-wading, half-swimming over to a point just ahead of where I saw her last. I'm just over halfway there and I still haven't seen any sign of her. That's when Michael speeds past me, swimming in the surf. Then, he disappears under the water and comes up with his arm around Liz's waist.
"Hey, Liz. I got ya," he says, as Liz coughs and sputters. I arrive a moment later but muscles-for-brains has already taken care of everything. Still, I move a few feet close to see as she shakes her long wet hair out of her face.
"Are you okay?" I ask.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
*Michael*
Damn. Liz asked me to help her with her swimming and I went and ignored her when the whole splash-fest started. Thank goodness I can swim better than any of these dweebs. In a moment, I've got her face out of the water again. Liz seems to be fine, just a bit shaken.
Of course, Mr. Perfect Max has to come and try to horn in on everything. "I got it under control," I growl at him as another wave washes up around Liz and me. Can't the guy tell when he isn't needed? Does he really think all the girls are his own property? I turn towards the shore and start walking Liz into more shallow waters.

Tess, Maria and I are engaged in a heavy water splashing fight and I hate to admit it but the two are winning. But then again, I'm all alone and the two are working together.
"Just give up, Kyle!" Maria yells when I come up for air again. "You'll never win."
"We'll see." I reply, lurching towards her and immediately being thrown off guard by Tess again who knocked into me. When we get up, I keep my hand on her arm to make sure she won't flee. And of course this way, I can easily dunk her.
"You giving up now?" It is my turn to ask as I am holding Tess barely above the surface of the water.
"Oh come on Kyle! It was just fun, no mean to harm little innocent girls." She pouts.
I have to laugh at that. Little innocent girls! Yeah sure. But damn, she does look really really great this close to me, maybe I should hold on to her for a bit longer till Evans comes back at least. She holds my gaze gaze unwavering and just as she's about to say something, Maria throws us both back into the ocean.
"Come on guys, snap out of it! Alex is not paying attention and needs to get splashed again." Maria says with a smirk.
Looking over to the taller guy, I see that he is indeed staring towards the beach and not really very aware of us three being oh so dangerously close to him.
ALEX
As much as I like Tess, I'm glad to see Max and Liz together. I know that they are just talking because Max is doing his "attentive man" routine again but who knows to what these talks and gestures might lead?
Briefly glancing in Tess' direction, I'm somewhat relieved to see that her and Kyle are engaged in a private water battle/staring contest and that Tess doesn't see Max and Liz standing so close. Not that that has to mean anything - Max and Liz are only friends and talking together, nothing more, yet.
There are plenty of other guys for Liz here at the beach anyway and let me tell you, it is a weird feeling to have so many male eyes on you because they envy you of your beautiful female company. I could get used to that feeling.
Uh oh, Michael doesn't look happy as he and Liz are coming closer to the rest of us again and Max looks slightly pissed too. I wonder how long it will take till these two clash together.
Or how long Isabel intends to stay on the beach, alone with Jake? Maybe we should head back so she two won't feel like we don't want her around? Must be pretty boring to be all alone with Jake the whole time, watching us having fun. She probably wants to join us anyway and is only being polite and staying out of the water because he doesn't wan't to join us.
Yeah right, Whitman, like that will be the case! I should probably be grateful that they aren't over each other. At least they don't seem to be as far as I can tell.
"HA!" someone suddenly cries next to me and I turn around, startled, to discover Tess one foot away from me and the next thing I know is that someone else knocks me into the water.
Damn!

I cough as I find air once again. My burning lungs cooling a little as oxygen fills them. A strong arm surrounds my waist, keeping me afloat as another wave comes in.
“Hey, Liz,” I hear Michael say. “I got ya.” He stands and steadies me in the shallower water closer to shore while I try to regain my balance. Coughing I push my hair back, getting it out of my face so I can see clearly and not through the spaces between my matted locks.
“Are you okay?” This time it’s Max that I hear. I smile albeit a weaker smile than I would have liked. If it was stronger, they probably would have been more likely to believe my words.
“I’m fine,” I say to them between slight coughs. “Really,” I reaffirm when both of them don’t seem to believe me.
For as opposite as Max and Michael are, they sure have the ability to share the same expression. They were skeptical as ever, I could tell. I don’t know what else I could say that would get them to believe me, if there was anything that I could say. Maybe I should just let them do what they wanted.
Yeah. If I left it at that, they would probably be at each other’s throats in no time. Probably trading insults of some kind or another. Even a blind person could sense the tension between these two.
Inaudibly and inwardly I sigh. I’ll let them do what they wanted, but as soon as they start arguing, I’m enforcing my ability to do what I want. That is, once things stop spinning and I can walk without provoking any more worries in their minds.

Maria, Alex Tess and I have stopped our water fight to catch our breaths
again. I have to say that both Maria and Tes look very hot when they are wet, have their hair plastered to their faces and wear skimpy bikinis. The image of these two like this will stay with me for many nights, Tess probably longer than Maria. It's a good thing that the water goes up to my waist, otherwise this would be a very embarrassing experience for me.
"Maybe we should head back so Isabel and Jake don't feel left out." Alex
suggest hesitantly. Man, that guy is worse than Michael. I mean, he is
surrounded by two hot blondes (Liz is still a bit awy with Max and Michael)
and yet, he wants the third bombshell around him. Horndog.
"Maybe they prefer being all alone so they can ... talk without interruptions." Maria replies with a cheeky grin.
Good answer, girl! I think to myself. There's no way in hell that I leave the water and the opportunity to watch the water drip off Tess' very nice body! The view is way too tempting!
"It wont be good for the group dynamics though when Isabel is so separated from the rest of us." Tess says, looking at Alex with a weird look.
Helloooo! I'm here too and I'm hot! Look at me too!
Well, maybe Tess is right and we should go back. That would give me the chance to see her and Maria drying off and getting changed and maybe they'll help each other with the towels and clothes. Man that would be like ... a dream come true: two hot girls in skimpy outfits taking care of each other's wet body!

“It won’t be good for the group dynamics though when Isabel is so separated from the rest of us.” I say, with a pointed look towards Alex. That man needs to make his move or so help me, I’ll do it for him.
I look around for Liz, Max, and Michael, spotting them a few yards away wading around in the waves, talking. I shout over to them that we’re going back to shore for a while to dry up, and they reply that they’ll join us.
I turn back around and catch Kyle checking me out. He is definitely worth the reciprocation of the action and I take the time to watch how the water droplets are flowing down his muscled chest in little rivulets. We should definitely have more pool-side barbeques at the house.
We all start wading back towards shore, Maria and Alex are walking ahead of Kyle and I, and I can hear Max talking to Liz and Michael behind us. I notice Kyle’s cheeks have turned a healthy shade of pink, and I can’t help teasing him. “Kyle, you’re looking a little flushed. Do you need some of that CPR right about now?”
He promptly turns a deeper shade of pink and turns to give me this evil grin, which causes me to give a little involuntary scream whereby I run ahead to hide myself in front of Maria. We have reached the sand by now and she and I run up together and grab our towels to start drying off.
“Hey Tess, I think the strap on my top is all twisted around. Could you fix it, please?” Maria asks me once we have had a chance to wipe all the excess water from our bodies.
“Sure Maria, turn around. K, hold on to the front while I unclasp it… Ok, all better.”
“So, how did your frolicking around in the water go?” Isabel asks from the other side of the still-roaring fire. I detect a combination of sarcasm and envy in her voice and wonder if she would have come into the water with us if boy-toy hadn’t been here. That sure would have been better for Alex’s sake, although I doubt she would have let him get anywhere near her, let alone splash her with all that water. And mess up her perfect hairdo? Never.
“It went great. The water was really refreshing but you have to watch out for scoundrels who would have you permanently sitting on the ocean floor.” I say with a sly grin at a certain blue-eyed scoundrel making his way past me towards his towel lying on the blanket. I’m not sure if he heard me or not.
