Before the part I just wanted to say that I am really liking the misinterpretations of things. It is just so hilarious. Liz like Max, Max thinks Liz doesn't like him, Alex likes Isabel, Max thinks Alex likes Liz, Michael and Kyle aren't turning any heads, and every girl is attracted to Max. That is so funny!

I think I am with Max on this one. When he asked if we were going out tonight, I was thinking the same thing. Staying up and talking while we are here is one thing, but going out to a night club and dance until the early morning hours is just insane! I have to get to bed so I can wake up early enough for work tomorrow.
I get up with the rest of them and start getting ready. If it starts getting late, like two in the morning, and we are not heading back here, I am just going to catch a cab on my own. After that long train ride over here, the time in the hot tub was nice, but sleep in that comfy bed that I claimed sounds so much better.
I pull on a modest, black, camisole top, and a black cardigan sweater. I pull my indigo stretch blue jeans and black boots. Deciding on just leaving my hair in the ponytail, I dab on some lip gloss, and sweep a light layer of eyeshadow and mascara on my lids and lashes. I walk down to the living room with my purse in hand, along with enough cab fare to take be back here, should the need arise.
I take a seat at the only “safe” place in the room and wait for the rest of the girls with Kyle, Alex, and Michael.
“Play!” I turn to see Alex urging me to play something while we wait for the rest of the housemates. I suppose calling the piano bench a “safe” seat was premature. I was not safe from people requesting I play something.
I didn’t respond right away, and he decided to take that as an invitation to ask another question. “Can you play things that we might hear on the radio?”
“I don’t know many of those. And they are all Coldplay songs. One of the few I know would be Coldplay’s “The Scientist.” Mostly because I love that song so much.” I tell him.
“Okay,” he said at first, but then added, “Play that!”
“But I . . .”
“Play, please. At least until they come down. It looks like I might be one of the few in the house that hasn’t heard you play.”
I regard him critically, and then he began to formulate a deal. “If you play for us, I’ll play my guitar,” he says as he nods his head over to where his guitar is leaning against the wall, still in its case.
“Okay, but, don’t say I didn’t try to warn you.”
“Just shut up and play, Liz,” Kyle says playfully from his spot against the wall behind me.
I turn around to stick my tongue out at him in a very silly gesture, one that I would use with my friends back home.
I hear a light whir, which I can only speculate as being the sound of the camera’s zoom feature. I place my hands over the keys and take another deep breath before I begin to play again, for the third time today. I haven’t played that much in the past week, let alone the past month!
The soft chords begin float from the piano as I continue through the introductory chords of the song, and then progress into the rest of the song.
“Come up to meet you, tell you I’m sorry. You don’t know how lovely you are,” I say softly to myself. This has to be my favorite song by Coldplay.
“I had to find you, tell you I need you, tell you I set you apart,” I hear a beautiful voice begin to sing from behind me, joining in. I continue to play, but turn slightly to see Maria standing behind my right shoulder, singing the song as I play it. I never knew that she listened to Coldplay, but then again, I had never taken the time to get to know her that well.
I must admit that Maria’s voice is exemplary. She was great as I continued to play. I doubt that I was an equally grand accompaniment, but I continued to play while she sang. Alex must have moved because the next thing I know to be added to my playing and Maria’s singing was the strumming of a guitar.
I could not stop the smile on my face as the song came to an end. Now that was an experience I am glad I didn’t miss out on. I didn’t know that the two of them were so talented.
“I love that song! I didn’t know you knew how to play it!” Maria exclaimed as the quiet sound of the piano’s final chord faded away.
“I didn’t know Alex knew it either,” I replied truthfully. But for some reason, at the mention of Alex she rolled her eyes out of what could only be distaste. But what could you have to dislike Alex for? He has been nothing but nice the entire time. “He was great. The both of you were awesome!”

Okay. I know I took a lot of liberties with this part. I just had an idea and thought that I would just “go with it!” So I did. If anyone minds what I did, or that I used their characters with this song (or if you have issues with the song itself and want it to be something else), let me know and I will edit it or just delete this part completely. And I mean it. Anything at all, let me know.
I just thought that this would be something interesting that the three could do to kinda bring them a little closer to a friendship. If you don’t think that Maria or Alex would listen to Coldplay let me know and I will change this part. I just felt that the song was so great, and the way the three could come together would just blow everyone away.
