Great Chapter!!!! Please please please please please please please please please come back and post more really really really really soon? I can't wait to read what will happen next for Max and Liz. I'm glad Diane took Liz with her to see Kat and Jenny. I'm also glad that Liz and Diane told the girls what will happen while they are with them. Hopefully Jenny will get better even though she went through the worst of it. I like how Kat asked questions. Hopefully the therapy will help both girls so they won't leave the palace. And they can find jobs somewhere.

First of all; I'm really relieved that the girls are now "safe". But of course, they are far from okay. I'm still living on hope that they'll be able to live with the consequences and find a somewhat normal future. Even though it's looking kinda bad for poor Jenny…

I could really see Liz helping out in the medical facility. Does she have an interest in science in this story, like she did on the show? Because then this might be a way for her to deal with her presence on Antar - to make her feel useful, not just to become someone's wife (and queen…).

Part 19

Nicholas walked into the room of the pleasure house. The girl in the room wasn't human but antarian, not that it mattered to him. Without saying a word the girl removed her rob and got into the bed. Nicholas stripped and climbed on top of her. He entered her hard. She winced at his movements it was then she looked at his face and knew who it was. Nicholas, Lord Kivar's crazy sidekick. She knew better than to say anything to him. When he finished and left she dressed and when to find her boss.

"What do you need Dana?"
"I won't do Nicholas again."
"Nicholas was here!"
"Yeah."
"Damn! Jath is an idiot! Don't worry Dana, he will never be back in this house. By the way your family's debt will be paid off in about two months."
"So? It's not like any man will want me as their wife now."
"There is one."
"Who Victor?"
"Someone who has cared about you from the moment he met you."
"I don't understand."
"Dana, you know I only run this place for Lord Trayer."
"Yes."
"Dana, I always made sure that you weren't harmed haven't I?"
"Yes."
"Once the debt is paid I would be happy to call you my wife and mate."
"Really?"
"Dana, you are a beautiful smart woman. You just got a raw deal."

Victor placed a very gentle kiss on Dana's lips.

Liz walked out to the garden to find Max waiting for her.

"How it go?" Asked Max
"They are both in such bad shape. Jenny, she is the older one, has really been hurt."
"Liz, what happened to them isn't their fault. The only one to blame is Kivar."
"I know. But they both seem so broken."
"Hopefully in time they will heal."
"I hope so."
"Liz?"
"Yeah?"
"I still don't know how you feel about me."
"I don't know how I feel."
"Well do you hate me?"
"No! I never hated you. I still can't call Antar home. But I don't hate you."
"What about my dad? He is the one who ordered you brought here."
"Truth is I don't. I don't know him. But I knew the night of the state dinner he wasn't a bad person when he came to my aid."
"I should never have left you alone."
"Max, you can't be with me all the time."
"True. But I can give you a personal guard. Someone who will never be far if you need help."
"I don't know."
"Liz, the fact is once we are married you will be required to have a team of guards. The one I have in mind is someone I know will protect you. Not just because he has been ordered to."
"Then why?"
"His family has taken in a couple of humans over the years. He treats them like family."
"Can I meet him before I agree to this?"
"Of course."
"Thank you."

Max wrapped an arm around Liz and gave her a hug.

Kyle looked at Serena who was watching Max with Liz.

"Everything ok?" Asked Kyle
"Yeah."
"Think Max will really break through Liz's wall?"
"He already is. In case you haven't noticed she isn't as bitchy any more."
"You are right about that."

Kyle led Serena away letting Max and Liz have some time alone together.

I can't wait to read what will happen next for Max and Liz. I think that is so great that Dana found love with Victor. I hope Victor and Dana will be very happy together. I'm glad Max and Liz talked and Liz told him what was going on. So Liz may get a body guard. Hopefully this guard will keep Liz safe. And I hope Max can really trust this guard. I'm glad everyone is noticing the change in Liz. Who is the guard going to be? Will Liz be able to trust the guard? What will happen when Liz meets the guard? Will Max and Liz spend time together to get to know each other? Will Max and Liz fall for each other? Will Max and Liz kiss? Will Max and Liz admit their feeling to each other? Will Liz have to go to another state dinner and other things? What will happen? Will Liz see Kivar and Nicholas again? Will Philip, Max, Michael, guards, Kyle and Alex protect Liz and the girls? Will Kivar and Nicholas attack? So sorry for the questions I was just wondering. Liz walked into the study to find Max waiting with a member of the Royal Guard. She had seen him around but never spoken to him.

"Liz, this is Lieutenant Zane." Said Max
"It is an honor to meet you My Lady." Said Zane

Liz looked at Zane, he had to been around twenty years old. Over six feet tall light brown hair and soft blue eyes.

"Thank you lieutenant. It is nice to meet you." Said Liz
"Liz, I want to have Zane act as your personal guard." Said Max
"OK." Said Liz
"Ok? That wasn't the answer I was expecting."
"You were expecting me to protest?"
"Yeah."
"I admit Miss Elizabeth, I didn't think you were going to be this easy going about this." Said Zane
"I understand that this is for my own safety."
"Yeah it is. Kivar is still on the lose and who knows what that shrimp Nicholas is up to he is far from the smartest guy around." Said Max
"Max?" Said Liz
"Yes Liz?"
"Uh I was wondering if you want to maybe go for a walk in the garden with me?"

Max smiled this was something he had hoped would happen.

"Yes Liz. I would really enjoy that." Said Max

Liz gave him a small smile.

"Lieutenant you will begin your new duty at first light tomorrow."
"Yes sire!" Said Zane leaving the room.

Max offered Liz his arm and they headed out to the garden.

"Liz, it's been about nine months since you left earth."
"I know."
"Liz, the date given to you for your birthday is next month."
"I know."
"You will be fourteen. On Antar that is an important age."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, it is possible at fourteen to marry in the royal line if need be."
"I don't understand."
"OK if my father were to die. Then the need for me to marry would increase."
"So you can have an heir."
"Yes. Liz, I promise not to force you to do something that you are not ready for."
"Max, let me ask you something."
"Ask away Liz."
"Do you care for me? I don't just mean care about me like a friend or family member would. But care for me in a different way?"
"Are you asking if I am in love with you?"
"Yeah I guess I am."
"I don't know if what I feel is love. I have never been in love before. But I do know that I don't want to lose you from my life."
"Max, I am very confused about how I feel. But when the day comes I won't put up a fight in becoming your wife."
"We will take this at your pace ok?"
"Thank you."

Liz had a really good question for Max there...

What about his feelings for her? Because he too was forced by his father to marry someone for Earth... and maybe he would prefer an antarian girl or even already had one in view...
