"We need to find some place to figure out a plan," I tell Kyle when he asks what's next. Alex's house is definately out. Mine is possible. Probably the best is -- "How about Tess's house?" I ask as every one gets close enough to start squeezing into the car.
Before Tess can answer, I see her sway and Kyle catches her. I feel it too, reaching out to steady my hand on the car as I feel stiff, losing my balance...
"His name is Michael, he wants to know where his friends are. He's nearby somewhere" Tess says.
I hadn't caught his name, but I did feel that. "He's in pain," I add. It's definately more than the headache we'd sensed before. "Everyone in the car. We'll worry about Trevor another day."
I grab the front seat while Kyle slides in the back with my 'sisters.' Alex's brother's car is a mid-size and there's enough room for them all to fit without too much crowding.
I'm about to say something-else when I hear an unfamiliar mental voice. It's soft, but I can make out the words... * -- ron, Isabel. -- sorry*
"Ron and Isabel. Those must be his friends," I say, biting my lip. "Alex, let's go." I tell him.

“Anyone going, meet outside this house in ten minutes,” Isabel suggests.
Adam nods before adding that he wants to change into shorts, which I think everyone found amusing on some level since it was a rare occasion when he’d wear them, and that he’d meet us out there.
“Sounds good to me,” I say before walking with them to the front door. As much as I was expecting the dry heat of the afternoon desert, it was still something different to experience it. Stepping outside it was almost like getting knocked off your feet as the warmth of the desert air rushes over you.
I look down the street to the house that was now going to be “my house” at least for our stay here in Roswell. I turn over to the others and say, “See you in ten,” before heading down to the house and walking up the walkway to the front porch. I find myself smiling as I look at it as what it might be. I can see all of us gathered on any of these porches, some of us sharing the swing, others sitting on the deck, and then the others leaning or sitting on the wood railing enclosing the porch, all of us here just talking and being with each other.
Looking back out towards the street I look up into the sky. *We’re here Michael. We’ll find you. It won’t be too long now, I promise.* I rush into the house to go looking through my clothes to find something to wear. As much as I like Adam’s idea for wearing the shorts, I don’t think that it would be a great idea. I can already feel the bruises on my legs from earlier. It looks like I’ll be sticking with jeans. I walk through the house, going up the stairs and poking my head into the rooms, looking for mine and figuring out the layout of the house.
I change my clothes, putting on a clean pair of jeans and a pink t-shirt. I gather my hair and twist it up, finding a ball point pen on my desk and use it to keep my hair up and out of my face. I would have used an elastic, but I didn’t want to miss the others and the pen was just sitting there. Going through my bag I pull out some money and my driver’s license, sticking them in my pocket. I grab my cell phone and slip it into my back pocket before picking up my sunglasses and a container of gloss.
“I think that’s everything,” I say before skipping back down the stairs and out the door before making my way up the street to where everyone’s going to be.

Temping Trevor
~Trevor~
I couldn't believe my tire had gone flat and I had to wait for the others to leave. I sure didn't want them to realize I didn't really know how to fix it. So, after trying not to act like anything was up and Kyle and the others had left. I used my power to fix the tire and replaced the spare. I'd been having a feeling, one that didn't set well with me at all. I'd barely gotten the spare put away when I heard a voice in my head. A sense from it told me that it was my brother. He was alive!
Cam... Isa! I'm ..sorry... I had no idea who he was talking to but I knew that whoever it was, I was going to try and find out who they were.
He didn't know whether Michael would be able to hear him, but he decided to try and contact him. He just hoped his brother was lucid enough.
Michael, where are you? I figured I'd start out slow, though I knew that at one point, I would explain who I was.
My mind was whirling, should I tell the others the truth? I got into my car and began driving toward my house. I didn't want to be driving if I went into a full on conversation. My brother, I can't believe I've found him. Now, if only I could find the Stones I think to myself as I pull into the drive of my place. Having ended up with a man that thought he could abuse me, I had soon shown him the truth of that and he'd left me alone.
Though, there were times that I went to school with bruises that he'd managed to give me when he was too drunk and I was too tried from using my powers to try and get some things done. I didn't dare use the Stone to enhnace my power because whoever had the other two might well be able to find me with them.
Maybe... maybe I should tell the others what I know... Damn, I'm not good at knowing the best path. When I'd been sent here to get the Stones, I hadn't been told by the council whether I was to contact them or not. Still, now that I was beginning to see what it was like to be human, in a way, I knew that if I was in their position, I would want to know.
It was something for me to think about, and I would be thinking hard while I tried to determine how I was going to get to my brother. It had to have been his pain that I'd felt and that bothered me, even scared me.

As Alex drives towards my house I try to rid myself of the residual headache left by my vision. Kyle puts an arm around my shoulders and I rest my head on his, grateful for the moment of respite. Maria is unusually quiet, both verbally and telepathically, and everyone looks worried. Almost afraid to break the silence that has fallen over the car I decide this is too important to delay.
"Max? Who is that boy? How do we know him? And what are we going to do?"

The problem with changing the world is that it makes any life beyond that impossible...

"I don't know," I tell Tess, glad that Trevor's gone and we can talk freely. Everyone here 'knows' about us. "But he's obviously an alien and he's in trouble. We have to find him. Unfortunately, the flashes and telepathy we're getting don't have a directional -- I'm not at all sure where to look."
Alex stops the car at Tess's house and we all get out. It feels rediculous because I know Michael isn't HERE. But we have to figure out a plan and this seems like the best place. It's a new development and several of the houses aren't occupied yet so it feels a little more private... As I step onto the curb, I see Mrs. Cleveland walking her dog. She looks a little wobbly, but then, that isn't all that unusual.
"Oh hello!," she says, cheerfully. "How are you young people today? Have you met the new neighbors?"
"No, we just got here," I say, stating the obvious.
"It's so mysterious!" she says, obviously having fun. "They're all moving in today! Four families next to each other on Evergreen. Jeremy says they bought all four houses with cash this morning and they're all ready here! whoops! A million and a half for four houses. Cash!" she says again. "Who has that kind of money?"
The government, I think, although I don't say anything. Damn. What if it's the FBI? She starts to teeter and Alex grabs her elbow. "Maybe you should get home, Mrs. C."
"Oh sure, as soon as Boopsie is done with her business," she grins. "But you should get to know the new ones. I hear they're all young kids about your age. Nobody's seen the parents yet!"
"That's great," I tell her, as Alex gently turns her around. "I'm sure we'll all be terriffic friends."
"So long!" she says, wobbling off down the street.
"Whew." I breathe, glad that she's gone, although a frown crosses my face. It is more than odd to buy for houses for cash and move in the same day. Something is definately weird. "Maybe we should check out the new neighbors..."

After heading to what was going to be my new home, I smiled as I took in the decor. My grandparents had a way of making certain everything was a replica of the castle in Ireland. It wasn't hard to find my room. My belongings were already in place and I glanced around with a grin. There on my dresser was my scrying crystal and I knew that I would be using it often in my search for Michael. Taking time for the moment, I walk over to it and close my eyes, "Powers above, powers below. Lift the veil so that I may know. Reveal to me that which I desire, lift the veil ever higher."
My incantation causes the familiar warmth and I open my eyes, gazing deep into the crystal I feel myself detach from current life and the crystal begins to swirl with gray smoke. "Michael." I whisper hoping that it will actually show me something, but all I see in the gray mists is the outline of a figure and the image disappears.
Sighing, I shake my head and walk away to get changed. Bruised from our earlier trouble, I wasn't about to wear shorts like my cousin Adam was, instead I dressed in a light weight pant suit and left out my jacket for the moment. Then, placing my hair in a pony tail, I grabbed my family crest out of my jewelry box and placed the necklace around my neck. The familiar silver and gold wolf crest felt natural against my skin and reminded me of when my father had handed it to me.
Of course, they hoped I would find someone that was Fae as well. Of course, that was growing increasingly rare with all the mixed blood. My father had been lucky to have fallen in love with a woman that had turned out to be fae through distant relatives. I doubted that I'd have the luck he did. Besides, I was still young and falling in love wasn't something I was interested in.
Sighing, I grabbed my wallet and placed it in my pockets before heading out of the house to meet the others. I wouldn't tell them that I'd tried to scry for Michael, it wouldn't be a good idea. Though, I couldn't help but feel guilty that if it hadn't been for me, Michael would never have been taken. I'd fallen for the trap, the letter asking me to meet Michael at that shack by the lake. I'd taken Cameron with me, I'd gotten us into this.
I was surprised that my cousin didn't blame me, I know in her shoes I might. Walking to stand in front of Morgana's house, I see that Cameron is already there and so is Adam. He's wearing shorts and looks ridiculous since it's a rare sight. His legs are white, though after a moment as I watch I notice him muttering something and his skin becomes tan in appearance and I know he's used glamour to help cover things up.
"So, we've got Liz and Serena we are waiting on and then we'll figure out where to go from here." I said as I looked at Cam and Adam. "Do you think we'll blend in well enough?"
"That's what I'm trying to do," Adam responded with a shrug as he looped one arm around Cam's shoulders and the other around mine. "We'll find him and we'll have some fun too." He sounded so certain that I wanted to ask if he'd somehow seen something or if any of our parents had said anything after we'd left.

Michael moves enough to where he caused the lines of the gun to fall off and begin rewinding into my gun. That simply causes me to smile as I hold it ready for another shot.
I watch him lean back and I can tell he is already worn. Still, it doesn't change anything as I stare at him waiting for his answer, "I've never killed anyone," he tells me and then adds, "I wasn't even born forty years ago..."
Turning to look at one of the men, I hold out my hand and the soldier hands me a file with copies of all the people that had been killed by this damn alien or some other one. "Really? Take a look at these and tell me it wasn't you or one of your kind." I tossed the file onto the cot and simply waited.

*Michael*
Valenti tosses the file on the cot. My fingers are just starting to recover, sending shooting pain through my arms like a foot that's fallen asleep. I try to hide my grimace as I reach for the folder. I don't have any idea what I'm going to see.
Opening the folder, I find a picture of a body lying on the street with his shirt open. On his chest is a silver handprint. The next picture shows almost the same thing, but this is a different man and he's lying on a metal table in a morgue. The next is a woman. She also has a silver handprint, this one high on her chest, near her shoulder. In all, there are almost a dozen photos of dead people with similar markings.
'... you or one of your kind,' he said. Is this what it looks like when an alien kills? Looking more closely, I notice the handprints are oddly shaped. Thinner than my hand and the fingers are much longer.
I've been trying to find out about where I'm from and how I got here since I was a child and have been searching extra hard since I met up with Cameron and her family. But this is something new.
*Michael, where are you?* I hear suddenly. I didn't recognise the voice but there was something about it far different than a voice. Looking up, I'm only partially surprised to see that nobody looks like they were talking to me. No, the guards wouldn't have cause to ask me something like that. It was soft. I almost didn't hear it. Maybe I imagined it. Maybe it was my own thoughts... except it didn't sound like me. It didn't sound like Adam, either. I could almost expect some strange think like that from them.
I don't know whether to answer this voice or not, or how to do it if I wanted to. It could have been someone wanting to help me, but how do I know? What do I do?
The sheriff is still aiming his dark glasses at me, no doubt waiting for a response. "I - I don't know what this is. I've never seen anything like it," I say.

"I - I don't know what this is. I've never seen anything like it."
When the boy finally responded, I could see that he was shocked but after having been among humanity as long as he must have, he had to have become an excellent actor so I didn't believe it for a minute. Without a word, I sent the wires shooting out toward him again, letting the pulse of energy run through him longer this time.
"Don't try and fool me boy!" I exclaimed even as I released the trigger so the volts would stop. "You or one of your kind did this. One of your kind killed these people and I aim to find out everything." My anger was apparent even to me as I lifted my radio in my free hand and spoke into it. "Bring in the test kits."
I had a few things to work out and having an alien in my cell was going to help. It was time to finish the creation of the weapons we'd most recently designed. If this weapon worked, it would wipe these bastards off the face of the planet.
"I - I don't know what this is. I've never seen anything like it."
