Chapter: 78
Liz opened the door and she and Max both stepped outside where Max pretended to leave. He stopped at the first step and turned to look at Liz. She took hold of his belt loops gently with both hands and pulled Max to her. They stood and looked at each other for a second and then they leaned in toward each other and kissed very softly at first, then leading into a very demanding and passionate kiss. As they kissed each other a group of men, who they didn't notice at all, were watching them as were Michael and Maria. The entire group of people were all surprised when the couple kissed and when they broke the kiss Liz pulled Max by his belt back into the house with her where Max used his foot to close the door. When they turned toward to living room they saw that Michael and Maria were standing there looking at them.
"Hey. Do you think the plan worked?" Liz asked.
"What was with the kiss?" Michael asked.
"Nothing. Liz and I just made them think we were lovers," Max said.
"It looked like you both were enjoying the pretense." Maria said.
"It was an act. We were just acting." Max said.
"I'm going to go change guys, I'll give your shirt back shortly Max." Liz said.
Liz walked up stairs and headed down the hallway to her room and turned on the light. She removed Max's shirt and walked over to her bed and sat down. She took her bra off and put her nightgown on and then walked over to her window to look out. When she looked out the window she saw some people casting shadows on the ground and immediately walked back to the wall and turned off the light. She walked over to the window and looked out again. She saw some men watching the house so she walked backwards to the bed room door, opened it and walked down the hallway. She headed down the stairs and went over to Max who immediately turned and looked at her.
"Max I need to talk to you, now." Liz said.
"Yeah, sure, OK," Max said.
Max stood up and followed Liz up the stairs and to her room, he and Liz entered the room and shut the door and then Liz pulled Max to the window.
"Max look." Liz said.
Max looked out the window and saw some men watching Liz's house and his house also. They looked at each other and then they looked outside again.
"What are we going to do?" Liz asked.
"I don't know. This is not good." Max said.
About that time Liz saw some movement headed toward Max and Michael's house and she grabbed max by his sleeve...
"Max! Look towards your house." Liz said.
Max looked out the window and saw a black van and a dark car parked in his driveway. They watched as the drivers got out of the van and the car and went to check out the house. Both of them watched the men from the window In Liz's darkened room. Liz knew they were looking for someone but she and Max didn't know who these men were or what they wanted. Max and Liz both turned and looked at each other with great big questioning expressions on their faces.
"This is not good Liz, we need to decide what to do about this." Max said.

"Yeah, I know, but WHAT are we going to do?" Liz asked.
"Don't worry we'll figure it out. Come on we'd better tell Michael and Maria."
Max and Liz walked out of Liz's bedroom and walked down the stairs and to the living room where Michael and Maria were waiting.
"What's going on?" Michael asked
"Michael those guys who are trying to attack us are outside and there are some at our house too. We need to figure out something to do about this." Max said.
"Or we all can get a house together and keep everyone safe that way. Or we can all stay here." Michael said.
"I say stay here." Liz said.
"I say stay here too." Maria said.
"I say we move." Michael said.
"I say we move too." Max said.
"How about this... we all try to live together here for a while. If it doesn't work out we move to a new place." Maria said.
"Fine. Max gets the spare bedroom between mine and Maria's room." Liz said.
"I'll stay with Maria." Michael said.
"How did I know you were going to say that?" Maria asked.
"How are we going to get your clothes and things?" Liz asked.
"Easy, we'll buy new clothes and whatever else we need." Max said.
"Are you going to tell Toney about these guys?" Liz asked.
"Yeah,we'll tell Toney about this because these guys are after us." Michael said.
"What do you think Toney will do?" Maria asked.
"With Toney? Who knows. But whatever it is it can't hurt to find out what he says." Michael said.
"So, in other words we are trapped here." Liz said sadly.
"Yeah, we are, til we are ready to leave and go see Toney." Max said
"Well Max have fun sleeping in the spare room." Liz said.
"Liz will you show me where my room is please?" Max asked.
Liz and Max walked out of the living room and headed up the stairs together and stopped at the door between Liz and Maria's room. Liz opened the door, walked in and Max walked in behind her and shut the door behind him, they stood and looked at each other.
"Liz where did you learn to do that trick we did at the door?" Max asked.
"Oh, Maria and I saw someone do that in a movie. We agreed we would try it some day." Liz said.
"Well it worked... come on, lets go check and see what's going on outside," Max said.
Max and Liz walked over to the window and looked out and saw the cars and vans were all gone, they looked at each other for a second and then looked outside again.
"Where are they?" Liz asked.
"I think they might have backed off a little. I better let Michael know." Max said.
Max reached into his pocket and pulled his cell phone out and dialed Michael's number...the phone rang three times before Michael answered...
"Michael something is going on. There is no sign of the guys outside now." Max said.
"Do you think they backed off or do you think they are hiding?" Michael asked.
"The one's over here were hiding and the one's that were at our place just seem to have backed off. I just wonder who these guys are? Who they work for? And what they want?" Max offered...
"Yeah, me too. Hopefully we'll find out soon. What are you and Liz doing?" Michael asked.
"Liz and I are in the spare bedroom looking out the window. We don't see them anywhere." Max said.
"Okay. So maybe they did back off... or went into hiding. I say tomorrow we look around and see if they're still around." Michael said.
"That sounds like a plan to me, hopefully we'll find something we can tell Toney at dinner." Max said.
"Yeah... maybe Toney can help us come up with a plan to keep us safe and catch these guys." Michael said.
"Don't worry we'll catch them. And when we do we'll find out who sent them and why." Michael said.
"Maybe. Whatever they tell us should help us either way." Max said.
"Yeah... Maria and I are going to stay down here and keep a look out." Michael said.
Okay, call and let me know when your ready for me to take over and let me know if you find anything out." Max said.
"Talk to you later." Michael said.
Max turned and looked at Liz.
"What?" Liz asked.
"Michael told me we need to stay here and keep a look out. Tomorrow we are going to check around and see if they are still here." Max said.
"Oh, okay. That should be easy enough. Hopefully you and Michael will find something out." Liz said.
"Yeah hopefully we will. You lay down. I'll take first watch." Max said.
"Okay. Wake me if anything happens." Liz said.
"You know I will." Max said.
Liz looked at Max and then Max looked out the window, turned and looked at Liz. They looked at each other for a second and then Max walked up to Liz, he raised his hand and touched Liz's cheek.. Then he leaned in and kissed her. The kiss was soft and tender and when they pulled away from each other Liz was about to walk away when Max pulled her back towards him. They looked at each other, leaned in and kissed and as they kissed Max wrapped his arms around Liz's waist and Liz wrapped her arms around Max's neck. The kiss was soft and tender then became passionate. Max walked Liz backwards to the door, locked it, turned and walked Liz backwards to the bed. When Liz's legs touched the edge of the bed they both fell on the bed.
Max and Liz pulled away, looked at each other, then leaned in and kissed again. As they were kissing they were slowly removing each others clothes and when they were completely nude Max laid on top of Liz and entered her in one quick movement. They kissed as they were moving against each other and they both went over the edge moaning each others name. A few seconds later Max pulled out of Liz and laid next her, he pulled her closer to him as they fell a sleep.
In the morning:
Liz woke up and she saw Max was still asleep. She got out of bed and put on her underwear and nightgown. After she was dressed she sneaked out of the room and went to her room. When she walked into her room she shut the door and walked to the closet and started to look for something to wear. A few minutes later she found a pair of jeans and a long sleeve shirt. After she had her clothes she grabbed her bra and clean underwear and headed down the hallway to the bathroom. She locked the door after herself and then she grabbed her towels, got undressed and proceeded to take her shower.
A few minutes later Liz walked out of the bathroom and went to her room, entered and shut the door. When she turned she saw Max sitting on her bed, they looked at each other for a second and Liz said...
"Hey."
"Hey," Max said

Chapter: 79
"Liz, when Michael and I go outside to look around I want you and Maria to stay inside okay." Max said as he watched her to make sure she was going to do as he asked.
"Fine Max, do you really think they could be out there?" Liz asked, acting worried about the entire situation.
"You never know. That's why Michael and I are going to check it out."
"Okay, and be careful." Liz said, still worried.
Max walked over to Liz and stood to face her.
"Liz, please, promise me you will stay in this house?" Max was almost begging now.
"Max I promise I'll stay in the house, so don't worry, just be careful."
"Well, you know it's a little too late not to worry about you." Max grinned.
"I know." And Liz smiled back.
"Come, we'd better go and see if Michael and Maria are awake yet."
"Yeah, okay." Liz smiled.
They walked to the bedroom door where Max opened opened it and allowed Liz to go first and then he shut the door as he walked out. They went down the stairs and headed into the living room and when they walked in they saw Michael and Maria covered in a blanket face to face and their clothes in a heap on the floor. Max and Liz turned and looked at each other with surprise and Max grabbed Liz by the hand and left, heading into the kitchen where they both turned and looked at each other, still surprised.
"Okay... I wasn't expecting that." Liz said.
"Neither was I." Max said.
"How are we going to wake them up? I don't want to go back in there." Liz replied frustratedly.
"I've got an idea." Max said as he reached into his pocket and pulled his cell phone out. He dialed Michael's number and let the phone ring. It only took three rings before someone answered.
"Hello?" Michael said, surprise and confusion in his sleepy voice.
"Michael... I hope you're ready. I'll be down stairs in 5 minutes." Max said.
"Okay. See you then," Michael said sleepily.
"Well what did he say?" Liz asked.
"He said he'd be ready in 5 minutes." Max said with a little grin.
"Okay. So Maria and I will stay here until you get back and don't worry, everything is going to be fine." Liz said.
"I hope you're right." Max said with just a tinge of concern in his voice.
"You know I am." Liz said as she smiled at him.
"Come on, let's go see if Michael and Maria are awake yet." Max said as he took hold of Liz's hand.
When they walked into the living room they saw Michael and Maria making the couch up. Michael and Maria turned and saw them looking at them.
"What's going on?" Maria asked.
"Maria, we need to stay here, inside, while the guys look around the outside of the house to make sure we are safe or not." Liz said.
"Are we still going to Toney's dinner party tonight?" Maria asked.
"Yeah, we're still going to the dinner party but right now we need to check around the outside." Michael said, just a little impatiently.
"Do you think they can still be out there?" Liz asked.
"We don't know, but it's safer to go ahead and check the place in the daylight." Max said.
Max and Michael walked toward the front door and looked out the window in the door. They didn't see anyone around so Max opened the door and he and Michael walked outside. They went around the perimeter of the house and didn't see anyone and then they walked to the road and checked it out and didn't see anyone there either. They walked across the street to their house and went all around and saw no one was there either so they headed back over to Liz and Maria's. When they got to the girls house Max knocked on the door.
"Who it is?" Liz asked.
"It Me and Michael." Max said.
"Let me see your Ids before you can come in." Liz said , and she looked at Maria and stifled a little giggle.
Max Looked Michael and rolled his eyes and then they reached into their pockets and pulled out their Ids. They put them up to the window and Liz and Maria looked at them and then at each other.
"Should we let them in or should we wait a few." Liz asked, still trying not to laugh.
"Let them wait a few." Maria said, stifling her giggles as well.
Okay. What do you want me to tell them?" Liz asked.
"Tell them to hold on." Maria said.
Liz turned and looked at Max and Michael's Ids again before saying...
"Hold on a minute."
"What?" Michael asked, starting to sound a little grumpy...
"Liz! What is going on?" Max asked.
"Nothing is going on Max." Liz said, smiling...
Maria walked up to Liz and whispered something to Liz, Liz turned and looked at Maria then Maria smiled and walked away. Liz turned and looked back at the door...
"Michael, Maria wants you and Max to go to your house and grab some clean clothes and take a shower and be back here in 45 minutes. She said 'no questions asked.'" Liz said.
"Liz, do you know what Maria is talking about?" Max asked.
"Yeah, she wants you to get cleaned up and packed." Liz said.
"Do you know what Maria is up to." Michael asked.
"No. All I know is what she told me to tell you." Liz said.
"Okay. We'll be back in 45 minutes." Michael said.
Liz watched as Max and Michael walked away from the door and as they crossed the street and went into their house, then she turned and saw Maria sitting on the steps looking at her.
"What are we going to do now?" Liz asked.
"We are going to set up their room." Maria said.
Maria and Liz headed up the stairs to the spare bedroom. The room had bunk beds and it also included a TV, Wii game system and a DVD/VCR player. They took the beds apart and put one against the wall and the other next to the window and then they placed a small book case between the one bed and the corner and they set the TV on top of the bookcase. On the second shelf they put the DVD/VCR player, and on third shelf they put the wii game system. After having arranged the beds and the shelf they walked to the other wall and placed two big dressers for their clothes. When everything was set up they put the bedding on the beds and hung curtains. When they were finished they walked out of the room ,down the stairs and went to sit in the living room.
An hour later there was a knock on the door and Liz stood and walked to the door and looked through the window.
"Who is it?" Liz asked.
"Its Max and Michael." Max said.
"Show me your Ids." Liz said once again and Max and Michael reached into their pockets and pulled their wallets out once again....
"Fine... I'll let you in." Liz said.
Max and Michael put their wallets back into their pockets, picked up their bags and when they looked up they saw Liz watching them.
"Are you going to come in or stand out there all day?" Liz asked.
"We're coming." Michael said.
Max and Michael walked into the house, Liz shut the door behind them while Maria stood against the wall looking at them. The two guys looked at Liz and Maria and they knew something was up with them but didn't know what it could be.
"What have you two been up to?" Michael asked.
"Nothing... we made some changes while you were gone." Maria said.
"We were gone for an hour! What changes could you have done in that time?" Max asked.
"Come on, we'll show you what we did." Liz said.
Liz and Maria went up the stairs first with Max and Michael following them They stopped when they got to the spare bedroom door and Maria opened it and they all went in. Max and Michael walked in and saw the one bunk bed against the wall and another against the window. They saw, in the corner between the beds a bookcase with a TV on top, on the second shelf there was a DVD/ VCR player and on the third shelf was a wii game system. They turned and saw two big dressers against the remaining wall and then they turned and looked at Liz and Maria.
"What's all this?" Max asked.
"This is your room. We hope you like it." Maria said
"We stay here?" Michael asked.
"Yes... this is your room." Maria said.
"We'd better go and get ready for Toney's tonight." Liz said.
"Yeah, we'd better do that." Maria said.
Liz and Maria walked out of the guys room and walked to their rooms to get ready, and Max shut the door and turned and looked at Michael.
"We'd better get ready, who knows what Toney has planned." Michael said.
"Yeah, that for sure." Max said.
Max and Michael changed clothes, they both decided to wear black slacks with a sweater. Max put on black slacks with a gray sweater and Michael was wearing black slacks with a black sweater. After they were dressed and ready they walked out of their room and headed down the stairs. When they walked into the living room they didn't see Liz or Maria so they sat down and waited.
A few minutes later Maria and Liz walked into the living room and Max and Michael looked up to take a look at their ladies. Maria was wearing an off the shoulder blue knee length dress with black high heels and Liz was wearing a black spaghetti strap knee length dress with black strappy high heels. Max and Michael were very taken aback at how beautiful Liz and Maria looked.
"So are we ready to go?" Liz asked.
"Um yeah. Lets go," Michael said as he pulled the neck of his sweater a little.
Max and Michael walked out of the living room first with Liz and Maria following, the guys walked to the closet and grabbed Liz and Maria's coats for them. They all walked to the front door. Michael opened the door and allowed the other three to go first and then Michael closed the door as he walked out. When he turned he saw Maria in front of him, she eased Michael over and reached into her purse and pulled out her key and locked the door, making sure it was secure before they headed to Michael's car.
"What are we taking two cars for?" Maria asked.
"In case someone is following." Michael said.
Max and Michael started their cars and took off for Toney's making sure that no one was following them. A few minutes later they pulled into Toney's drive way, got out of their cars and walked up to the door. Michael rang the door bell and a few seconds later the door opened and there stood Alice in front of them

"Fine... I'll let you in." Liz said.
Max and Michael put their wallets back into their pockets, picked up their bags and when they looked up they saw Liz watching them.
"Are you going to come in or stand out there all day?" Liz asked.
"We're coming." Michael said.
Max and Michael walked into the house, Liz shut the door behind them while Maria stood against the wall looking at them. The two guys looked at Liz and Maria and they knew something was up with them but didn't know what it could be.
"What have you two been up to?" Michael asked.
"Nothing... we made some changes while you were gone." Maria said.
"We were gone for an hour! What changes could you have done in that time?" Max asked.
"Come on, we'll show you what we did." Liz said.
Liz and Maria went up the stairs first with Max and Michael following them They stopped when they got to the spare bedroom door and Maria opened it and they all went in. Max and Michael walked in and saw the one bunk bed against the wall and another against the window. They saw, in the corner between the beds a bookcase with a TV on top, on the second shelf there was a DVD/ VCR player and on the third shelf was a wii game system. They turned and saw two big dressers against the remaining wall and then they turned and looked at Liz and Maria.
"What's all this?" Max asked.
"This is your room. We hope you like it." Maria said
"We stay here?" Michael asked.
"Yes... this is your room." Maria said.
"We'd better go and get ready for Toney's tonight." Liz said.
"Yeah, we'd better do that." Maria said.
Liz and Maria walked out of the guys room and walked to their rooms to get ready, and Max shut the door and turned and looked at Michael.
"We'd better get ready, who knows what Toney has planned." Michael said.
"Yeah, that for sure." Max said.
Max and Michael changed clothes, they both decided to wear black slacks with a sweater. Max put on black slacks with a gray sweater and Michael was wearing black slacks with a black sweater. After they were dressed and ready they walked out of their room and headed down the stairs. When they walked into the living room they didn't see Liz or Maria so they sat down and waited.
A few minutes later Maria and Liz walked into the living room and Max and Michael looked up to take a look at their ladies. Maria was wearing an off the shoulder blue knee length dress with black high heels and Liz was wearing a black spaghetti strap knee length dress with black strappy high heels. Max and Michael were very taken aback at how beautiful Liz and Maria looked.
"So are we ready to go?" Liz asked.
"Um yeah. Lets go," Michael said as he pulled the neck of his sweater a little.
Max and Michael walked out of the living room first with Liz and Maria following, the guys walked to the closet and grabbed Liz and Maria's coats for them. They all walked to the front door. Michael opened the door and allowed the other three to go first and then Michael closed the door as he walked out. When he turned he saw Maria in front of him, she eased Michael over and reached into her purse and pulled out her key and locked the door, making sure it was secure before they headed to Michael's car.
"What are we taking two cars for?" Maria asked.
"In case someone is following." Michael said.
Max and Michael started their cars and took off for Toney's making sure that no one was following them. A few minutes later they pulled into Toney's drive way, got out of their cars and walked up to the door. Michael rang the door bell and a few seconds later the door opened and there stood Alice in front of them

"Come in, set your coats on the chair and follow me." Alice said acting very formal.
Everyone took off their coats and followed Alice into an empty living room. Liz and Maria didn't feel very comfortable with the way things were going and started to feel a little scared. They looked at Alice strangely...
"Toney said to have you wait here, dinner will be ready shortly. I'd better go see what is taking Toney so long." Alice said before walking out of the room.
Liz and Maria looked around then looked at Michael and Max...
"Michael do you have any idea what's going on?" Maria asked
"What do you mean?" Michael asked.
"What she means is that A lice is acting weird and Toney is no where to be seen. Something is going on." Liz said.
"Calm down, both of you, everything is fine, this is a dinner party." Max said.
Right at that moment Toney and Alice walked into the living room and they all turned and looked at Toney and Alice.
"So, are we ready for a great dinner?" Toney asked.
"Yeah, sure." Liz said.
"Liz may I talk to you alone for sec?" Toney asked.
"Sure." Liz said.
Toney and Liz walked out of the living room and down the hallway to another room where Toney entered with Liz following, Toney shut the door behind them and turned to face Liz.
"What?" Liz asked
"I've got something to tell you and it may hurt your feelings." Toney said.
Liz turned away from Toney and walked up to the bar, grabbed a bottle of vodka and opened it, she poured herself a nice long drink then turned to look at Toney.
"What do you have to tell me?" She asked
"I um, I've been with Alice." Toney said.
"Wait are you telling me, you have been sleeping with Alice since we have been together?" Liz asked.
"Yes." Toney answered.
"Oh really!" Liz said.
"Yes. It just happened. I didn't mean for it to happen. But it did." Toney said
When Toney looked up he saw. Liz standing in front of him with tears in her eyes. Liz slapped Toney across the face really hard and then turned and walked toward the door. Toney walked up to Liz and turned her to face him and when he looked at her she had tears running down her cheeks.
"Liz I'm sorry for hurting you." Toney said.
"You're sorry!" Liz yelled.
"Yes I'm very sorry for hurting you." Toney said.
"Yeah, well guess what? I heard and saw the both of you together already." Liz yelled.
"What? When?" Toney asked.
"The Halloween party. You know I thought you were a nice guy, I guess I was wrong, all you are is an asshole. I hope you and that bitch are happy together. And Eric was right about you." Liz said.
Liz turned back to the door. She opened the door and was about to walk down the hallway when Toney grabbed Liz by the arm again and turned her to face him.
"What do you mean about Eric?" Toney asked.
"He knew about you and Alice. He also knew that the baby might not be his. That is why he got into a fight with you. Oh and this is from Eric." Liz said as she slapped Toney in his face as hard as she could.
"I'm glad we're over." She yelled.
What Liz and Toney didn't know was Max, Maria, Michael and Alice heard and saw everything that happened between Toney and Liz and they were all shocked. Max was glad that Liz was okay and that Liz knew how to handle herself and Alice was just glad that Toney was free to date her and take her out in public. Liz turned and saw everyone looking at her...
"How long have you been standing there and what did you hear?" Liz asked.
"We heard and saw everything that happened since you both went to talk." Max said.
"Oh... Max can we please leave now?" Liz asked as tears were falling down her face
"Yeah, um, Michael are you and Maria ready to go?" Max asked.
"Lets get the hell out of here." Maria said before Michael had a chance to speak.
Liz walked up to Alice and slapped her hard across the face then she walked past her and over to Max, then Max and Michael walked Liz and Maria to the other room to get their coats then walked out the door to their cars. Max and Liz got into Max's car while Michael and Maria got into Michael's car and they all drove off. Michael reached into his pocket and pulled out his cell phone and dialed Max's number, it took Max three rings to answer the phone...
"Max here."
"Max I think you should try and talk to Liz. She needs a friend right now." Michael said.
"Yeah, I know. I'm going to take her to our house...you and Maria go to her house...Hopefully Liz and I can talk." Max said.
"You know she'll talk to you." Michael said.
"yeah, see you later."
"Good luck," Michael said.
"I think I'm going to need it." Max said.
Max turned down one road while Michael went down another.
"Talk to you later." Michael said.
"Yeah later." Max said before closing his cell phone.
Max put his cell phone back in his pocket and looked over at Liz and saw she was crying.
"Liz hold on... we are going to my place so we can talk." Max said.
"Yeah, whatever." Liz said.
Max turned down another road and a few minutes later they were at Max's house. They both got out of the car and walked up to the front door and when they got to the door Max reached into his pocket and grabbed the keys and unlocked the door and let Liz walk in first then he walked in, shut the door behind him and turned on the light and set the keys on the table next to the door.
"Come on we'll sit in the living room," Max said.
Max and Liz walked into the living room and Liz noticed that the curtains were closed. He turned on the light and sat down at one end of the couch while Liz sat at the other end. Max and Liz both looked at each other and then Max stood up and walked over to Liz. He sat down next to her and reached his hand out and lifted Liz's Face up to look at him. When she looked at Max he saw she had tears running down her face. Max used his thumb to wipe away her tears and then they really looked at each other and they leaned in and kissed. The kiss was soft and tender and then the kiss became hot and passionate. Liz pulled Max with her as she fell backwards.
Max and Liz were touching each other as they kissed and then they pulled apart and looked at each other. Max sat back and pulled Liz with him and then they looked at each other again...Liz stood up and walked to the window and left Max on the couch. Soon Max stood up and walked over to where Liz was and when Max stood behind Liz he raised his hands and put them on her shoulders. Liz turned and walked away from Max and went back to the couch and sat down. Max turned and looked at Liz.
"Liz what's wrong?" Max asked a little sorrowfully...

"Maybe it will and maybe it won't." Max said.
"Max..." Liz said.
"What? I'm telling you the truth." Max said.
"How? Here is your truth," Liz said as she threw a pillow at Max.
The pillow hit Max square in the face and when the pillow hit the floor Max stood there in shock. Liz started laughing and then Max turned and grabbed a pillow . He threw the pillow at Liz and Liz stopped laughing and looked at Max when the pillow hit her so she turned and grabbed another pillow, Max grabbed a pillow and they started to have a pillow fight. They kept hitting each other and as they were hitting each other around the living room Max caught Liz and spun her around, Liz tripped Max and they both fell to the carpet laughing. Max and Liz both turned and looked at each other.
"It's good to hear you laugh." Max said.
"Oh?" Liz said as she turned and looked at Max.
"Well it's the truth." Max said.
Liz hit Max with a pillow and stood up and walked over to the couch and sat down. Max stood up and walked over the couch and sat down next to her.
"Max I'm glad you're always here to cheer me up." Liz said.
"Liz, I 'll always be here when you need me. Nothing will change that." Max said.
"Even while you're working for Toney you will be here for me?" Liz asked

Chapter 81
"Yes Liz, while I'm working for Toney I'll always be here for you," Max said.
"Good to know," Liz said.
They smiled at each other and Max asked...
"So do you want a tour of my house?"
"Yeah, that sounds cool,"
"Then come on," Max said as he stood up.
He helped Liz up and they walked out of the living room across the hall and into another room.
"This is the dining/bar room," Max said.
"It's nice," Liz said.
"Come with me and I'll show you the upstairs mess," Max said.
Max took Liz through the dining room and another door and turned on a light. Liz walked into the room and looked around then turned and looked at Max.
"This is the office that Michael and I work from when Toney doesn't need us to talk to people," Max said.
"It's nice, how about the rest," Liz said.
Max grabbed Liz by the hand and took her upstairs and opened the first door on the right at the top of the stairway. Liz looked in and saw a very messy bedroom. She turned and looked at Max...
"This is Michael's room, as you can see the room is a little messy," Max said.
"Um, yeah," Liz said.
They turned and looked at each other and then Liz walked to the door across from Michael's.
"Whose room is this?" Liz asked.
"That is our weapons room," Max said.
"Oh wow," Liz said.
Max put his hand out to Liz, bypassed the weapons room and headed for another room that was next to Michael's. When they opened the door Liz saw that it was another bedroom. she turned and looked at Max.
"This is a spare bedroom.. We've got two spare bedrooms," Max said.
"Oh that must be nice."
"It is sometimes."
Max took Liz to a room across from the spare bedroom and opened the door for Liz and she saw that is was another bed room. She turned and looked at Max.
"This one is my room," Max said.
Liz walked into the room and looked around, she saw that the room was really nice. It had a bed, dresser and desk. She walked up to the desk and saw pictures of Max with a girl. another with an older couple and another picture of Max, a lady and Michael, one with Max and Michael and then a family picture. She turned and saw Max standing in front of her and they looked at each other.
"You have some nice family pictures," Liz said.
"Thanks," Max said.
Max reached out and touched Liz on the arm and Liz touched Max's arm as they stared at each other. Max pulled Liz closer to him and they leaned in and kissed. The kiss was soft and gentle and then the kiss became passionate. Liz pulled away from Max and looked at him, she reached out for the bottom of Max's sweater and pulled it over his head. When the sweater was off Liz threw it behind her and Max brought his hands up to Liz's shoulders and pushed the straps of Liz's dress down her arms and the dress went down to the floor. Liz stepped out of her dress and stood in front of Max wearing nothing but a bra and panties. She walked up to Max and reached for his belt and undid the belt and the button on his pants. The pants fell to the floor and Max stepped out of his pants. He stood in front of Liz wearing only his boxers. Max and Liz both took a step closer to each other and then they leaned in and kissed. The kiss was soft then became very passionate. Max held Liz close to him and, as they were kissing, he walked Liz backwards until Liz was against the wall.
Max raised his hands and unhooked Liz's bra and tossed it to the floor. Then Max lowered his hands to her hips and ripped her panties off her body. Liz reached her hands out to Max's boxers and pulled them down. After their underwear was off Max raised Liz and entered her. As he entered Liz's body she closed her eyes and he leaned in and kissed her as they were moving against each other.They were both close to the edge and they moved more quickly against each other. They went over the edge calling each other's names. After a few minutes they pulled away and looked at each other. Max's hands were on Liz's hips as he walked her to his bed. When Liz's legs hit the bed they both fell onto the bed and they laid next to each other quietly.
A few minutes later they turned toward each other and Max turned on his side and leaned in and kissed Liz. The kiss was tender and then the kiss started to turn passionate once more and Max rolled on top of Liz and entered her in one quick movement once again. They moved quickly against each other and as they moved they were moaning each others name as they neared the edge. When Max and Liz went over the edge they both called out each others name. A few minutes later they were both asleep.
In the morning
Max and Liz awoke facing each other and Max leaned in and kissed Liz good morning. As they kissed Max rolled on top of Liz and entered her and they moved against each other quickly. They both called out each others name as they went over the edge and a few minutes later Max and Liz both sat up and looked around. They gathered their clothes and headed for the shower and after they had washed themselves they started to get dressed. After they were dressed they headed down the stairs and toward the kitchen.
When they got into the kitchen Max went to the fridge and opened it, grabbed two cans of Pepsi and handed one to Liz, who took it and opened it. Then Liz turned to Max and said...
"You know this is the first time I've been here and I think you have a nice home," Liz said.
"I'm glad you like it, I'm sorry for what happened between you and Toney," Max said.
"I'm not. I knew what was going on. I'm glad it finally came to a head." Liz said.
"Liz are you sure your okay?" Max asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just can't believe that everyone knows now." Liz said.
"Yeah, well Maria and Michael were the only two that didn't know and they were surprised," Max said.
"Yeah, that's true," Liz said.
"How is your hand by the way?" Max asked.
"My hand is sore but besides that I feel fine," Liz said.
"So what do you want to do today?" Max asked.
"I don't know... why?"
"So, how about we stay here and watch some movies and relax."
"That sounds good to me."
"Good. Just let me grab something to eat and then we can start watching something."
"Okay. Um while your doing that I'm going to pick a few movies."
"Sounds good to me."
Liz walked out of the kitchen and down the hallway to the living room and made her way up to the book case and looked over the choices of movies to watch. She chose one called "Vampire Sucks" another called "Date Movie" one called "Inception" and then turned and saw Toney standing in front of her.
"What are you doing here?" Liz asked.
"I could ask you the same thing," Toney said.
"Oh, um Max and I are hanging out and watching some movies. You?" Liz asked.
"I just came here to see Max. Is he here?" Toney asked.
"I think he's in the kitchen," Liz said.
"I'll go check then," Toney said.
"Yeah, sure,"
Toney was about to walk away when he turned and looked at Liz.
"Liz I just wanted to say I'm sorry for hurting you the way I did."
"Well you hurt me really bad. I hope you will know how it feels some day."
"Liz I didn't mean to hurt you. I hope some day you can forgive me and we can be friends."
"We will have to wait and see if that happens or not." Liz said.
Max walked into the living room with a tray of breakfast about that time and saw Liz and Toney. He set the tray down and turned and looked at the two of them.
"Hey Toney what's going on?" Max asked
"Max I need to talk to you in private." Toney said.
"Okay. We can talk in the kitchen."
Max and Toney walked out of the living room, down the hallway into the kitchen.
"What the hell is Liz doing here?" Toney asked.
"Toney , Liz and I are hanging out. We're friends."
"I don't think it's a good idea for her to be here. What are you doing?" Toney asked.
"We are just watching movies and hanging out." Max said.
"Okay... Question, why is Liz wearing the dress she wore last night?" Toney asked.
Right at that moment Liz walked into the kitchen and looked at Max and Toney.

Chapter 81
"Yes Liz, while I'm working for Toney I'll always be here for you," Max said.
"Good to know," Liz said.
They smiled at each other and Max asked...
"So do you want a tour of my house?"
"Yeah, that sounds cool,"
"Then come on," Max said as he stood up.
He helped Liz up and they walked out of the living room across the hall and into another room.
"This is the dining/bar room," Max said.
"It's nice," Liz said.
"Come with me and I'll show you the upstairs mess," Max said.
Max took Liz through the dining room and another door and turned on a light. Liz walked into the room and looked around then turned and looked at Max.
"This is the office that Michael and I work from when Toney doesn't need us to talk to people," Max said.
"It's nice, how about the rest," Liz said.
Max grabbed Liz by the hand and took her upstairs and opened the first door on the right at the top of the stairway. Liz looked in and saw a very messy bedroom. She turned and looked at Max...
"This is Michael's room, as you can see the room is a little messy," Max said.
"Um, yeah," Liz said.
They turned and looked at each other and then Liz walked to the door across from Michael's.
"Whose room is this?" Liz asked.
"That is our weapons room," Max said.
"Oh wow," Liz said.
Max put his hand out to Liz, bypassed the weapons room and headed for another room that was next to Michael's. When they opened the door Liz saw that it was another bedroom. she turned and looked at Max.
"This is a spare bedroom.. We've got two spare bedrooms," Max said.
"Oh that must be nice."
"It is sometimes."
Max took Liz to a room across from the spare bedroom and opened the door for Liz and she saw that is was another bed room. She turned and looked at Max.
"This one is my room," Max said.
Liz walked into the room and looked around, she saw that the room was really nice. It had a bed, dresser and desk. She walked up to the desk and saw pictures of Max with a girl. another with an older couple and another picture of Max, a lady and Michael, one with Max and Michael and then a family picture. She turned and saw Max standing in front of her and they looked at each other.
"You have some nice family pictures," Liz said.
"Thanks," Max said.
Max reached out and touched Liz on the arm and Liz touched Max's arm as they stared at each other. Max pulled Liz closer to him and they leaned in and kissed. The kiss was soft and gentle and then the kiss became passionate. Liz pulled away from Max and looked at him, she reached out for the bottom of Max's sweater and pulled it over his head. When the sweater was off Liz threw it behind her and Max brought his hands up to Liz's shoulders and pushed the straps of Liz's dress down her arms and the dress went down to the floor. Liz stepped out of her dress and stood in front of Max wearing nothing but a bra and panties. She walked up to Max and reached for his belt and undid the belt and the button on his pants. The pants fell to the floor and Max stepped out of his pants. He stood in front of Liz wearing only his boxers. Max and Liz both took a step closer to each other and then they leaned in and kissed. The kiss was soft then became very passionate. Max held Liz close to him and, as they were kissing, he walked Liz backwards until Liz was against the wall.
Max raised his hands and unhooked Liz's bra and tossed it to the floor. Then Max lowered his hands to her hips and ripped her panties off her body. Liz reached her hands out to Max's boxers and pulled them down. After their underwear was off Max raised Liz and entered her. As he entered Liz's body she closed her eyes and he leaned in and kissed her as they were moving against each other.They were both close to the edge and they moved more quickly against each other. They went over the edge calling each other's names. After a few minutes they pulled away and looked at each other. Max's hands were on Liz's hips as he walked her to his bed. When Liz's legs hit the bed they both fell onto the bed and they laid next to each other quietly.
A few minutes later they turned toward each other and Max turned on his side and leaned in and kissed Liz. The kiss was tender and then the kiss started to turn passionate once more and Max rolled on top of Liz and entered her in one quick movement once again. They moved quickly against each other and as they moved they were moaning each others name as they neared the edge. When Max and Liz went over the edge they both called out each others name. A few minutes later they were both asleep.
In the morning
Max and Liz awoke facing each other and Max leaned in and kissed Liz good morning. As they kissed Max rolled on top of Liz and entered her and they moved against each other quickly. They both called out each others name as they went over the edge and a few minutes later Max and Liz both sat up and looked around. They gathered their clothes and headed for the shower and after they had washed themselves they started to get dressed. After they were dressed they headed down the stairs and toward the kitchen.
When they got into the kitchen Max went to the fridge and opened it, grabbed two cans of Pepsi and handed one to Liz, who took it and opened it. Then Liz turned to Max and said...
"You know this is the first time I've been here and I think you have a nice home," Liz said.
"I'm glad you like it, I'm sorry for what happened between you and Toney," Max said.
"I'm not. I knew what was going on. I'm glad it finally came to a head." Liz said.
"Liz are you sure your okay?" Max asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just can't believe that everyone knows now." Liz said.
"Yeah, well Maria and Michael were the only two that didn't know and they were surprised," Max said.
"Yeah, that's true," Liz said.
"How is your hand by the way?" Max asked.
"My hand is sore but besides that I feel fine," Liz said.
"So what do you want to do today?" Max asked.
"I don't know... why?"
"So, how about we stay here and watch some movies and relax."
"That sounds good to me."
"Good. Just let me grab something to eat and then we can start watching something."
"Okay. Um while your doing that I'm going to pick a few movies."
"Sounds good to me."
Liz walked out of the kitchen and down the hallway to the living room and made her way up to the book case and looked over the choices of movies to watch. She chose one called "Vampire Sucks" another called "Date Movie" one called "Inception" and then turned and saw Toney standing in front of her.
"What are you doing here?" Liz asked.
"I could ask you the same thing," Toney said.
"Oh, um Max and I are hanging out and watching some movies. You?" Liz asked.
"I just came here to see Max. Is he here?" Toney asked.
"I think he's in the kitchen," Liz said.
"I'll go check then," Toney said.
"Yeah, sure,"
Toney was about to walk away when he turned and looked at Liz.
"Liz I just wanted to say I'm sorry for hurting you the way I did."
"Well you hurt me really bad. I hope you will know how it feels some day."
"Liz I didn't mean to hurt you. I hope some day you can forgive me and we can be friends."
"We will have to wait and see if that happens or not." Liz said.
Max walked into the living room with a tray of breakfast about that time and saw Liz and Toney. He set the tray down and turned and looked at the two of them.
"Hey Toney what's going on?" Max asked
"Max I need to talk to you in private." Toney said.
"Okay. We can talk in the kitchen."
Max and Toney walked out of the living room, down the hallway into the kitchen.
"What the hell is Liz doing here?" Toney asked.
"Toney , Liz and I are hanging out. We're friends."
"I don't think it's a good idea for her to be here. What are you doing?" Toney asked.
"We are just watching movies and hanging out." Max said.
"Okay... Question, why is Liz wearing the dress she wore last night?" Toney asked.
Right at that moment Liz walked into the kitchen and looked at Max and Toney.
"What?" Liz asked as she looked at the both of them.

"Toney asked me why you are wearing the dress you wore last night." Max said.
"Toney, that is none of your business, we are no longer together remember, we broke up." Liz said.
Toney walked up to Liz and looked her in the eye...
"Liz, it is my business when you are hanging around Max." Toney said.
"No, it stopped being your business when we broke up." Liz said.
"Liz?" Toney asked.
"By the way, how is your girlfriend Alice doing?" Liz asked.
"Alice is fine. She's thinking about going to stay with her mom til everything calms down." Toney said.
"Oh really. Do you mean calm down between us or the threat for the guys is over?" Liz asked.
"Both I guess." Toney said.
"Oh, that's too bad. I guess she only wants to sleep with you when you have a girlfriend and no one knows about her." Liz said.
"Can you two stop it?" Max asked.
"Fine. But if he says anything to make me mad I'm hitting him." Liz said.
"Thanks... Toney, Liz is great person to hang around with." Max said.
"Sorry. But what is she doing here?" Toney asked.
"We were being followed, so I brought us here the back way. No one knew we were here until now." Max said.
Liz walked out of the kitchen, made her way through the hallway and into the living room while Max and Toney talked.
In the kitchen.
"Oh... well I just came here to tell you that I found out you've got 30 men looking for you. Someone put a $1,000,000.00 hit out on you." Toney said.
"Is the hit just for me or for Michael too?" Max asked.
"It's just for you. I heard that if anyone is with you they were to kill them too. They don't want to leave any witnesses."
"Great! Now I've got to figure out what to do about the hit men and my friends." Max said.
"Max!" Liz yelled.
Max and Toney went into the Living room quickly and saw Liz looking out the window.
"Liz, what is it?" Max asked.
"You'd better come and see this." Liz said.
Max stood behind Liz as he looked out the window where he saw a tank coming down the road. They watched as the tank drove toward Max's car and drove over it. Then the tank drove down the road and Max and Liz turned and looked at each other.
"What happened?" Toney asked.
"A tank just ran over my car." Max said.
"A what?" Toney asked.
"A tank just ran over Max's car." Liz said.
"Oh boy, I'm going to check the back of the house." Toney said.
Liz turned and looked at Max.
"Max what are we going to do now?"
"We need to get out of here. I'm going to call Michael. Can you go see what Toney is doing?"
"Okay. I'll be right back."
Max watched as Liz walked out of the living room and then turned to look out the window again. While he checked outside he reached into his pocket and and pulled out his cell phone. He dialed Michael's number... the phone rang three times before someone answered.
"Yeah?" Michael said.
"Michael, did you see the tank that just went down the road?"
"No. What is a tank doing going down the road? What did it do?"
"It flattened my car."
"What are you going to do now?"
"I don't know yet, but we need to get to where you are. We need to talk."
"This doesn't sound good." Michael said...
"It's not. Toney just told me something that you need to know also."
"Okay. when can you get here?" Michael asked.
"Give Liz and me a few minutes, Toney is here now." Max said.
"What is Toney doing there?"
"Toney came over and told me some news he found out and now he's checking the back of the house in case the tank comes back." Max said.
"Okay. Call me when you're ready to leave and we'll come and get you." Michael said.
"Okay. Talk to you in a few," Max said and hung up.
When Max turned he saw that Liz had been standing in back of him.
"Does Toney see the Tank?" Max asked
"No, he doesn't see it anywhere, he thinks they're gone." Liz said.
"Okay... that's good news I guess." Max said.
"What is good news?" Toney asked.
Max and Liz turned and saw Toney looking at them.
"What is good?" Toney asked.
"That you didn't see the tank anywhere. Michael is going to pick Liz and me up when we are ready." Max said.
"I think it is safe now, we all should leave." Toney said.
"Sounds like a plan. Are you ready to leave Liz?" Max asked.
"Yeah, lets go." She said.
"Do you two have everything you need?" Toney asked.
"I need to pack a bag before we leave." Max said.
"Max what are you packing a bag for?" Liz asked.
"Just in case I need it." Max said.
"Max?" Liz asked.
"Give me 10 minutes and I'll be ready to go." Max said.
Toney and Liz watched as Max walked out of the living room and ran up the stairs. After Max was gone Liz turned to Toney and asked...
"What did you tell him?"
"I just told him what I found out." Toney said.
"Pray,tell me what was that?" Liz asked.
"I told Max that these guys were after him. They will kill anyone that is with him and anyone that gets in their way." Toney said.
"Oh great! So that's why we are leaving... Max wants to keep everyone safe."
"I think it's a good idea, you never know what's going to happen." Toney said.
"I think it's for us to decide if we want to help him or not." Liz said.
"Liz I know we are not dating anymore but can we try and be friends?" Toney asked.
"I don't know. I need time to think about it." Liz said.
"Well, take all the time you need. I'll help with this situation if I can." Toney said.
"That's nice of you." Liz said.
" Liz what Max needs to do is keep everyone safe." Toney said.
"Are you trying to make me feel better?" Liz asked
"Yeah, I'm trying to cheer you up. Is it working?" Toney asked.
"Maybe a little. But I still think this is crazy."Liz said.
"That is what Max is wanting," Toney said.
"What am I wanting?" Max asked.
Toney and Liz turned and looked at Max who was now looking at them.
"Toney told me that the guys are after you. And they will kill anyone with you. Toney said you're going to try and keep all of us safe." Liz said.
"Yes, of course I'm going to try and keep all of you safe." Max said
"But Max, if we want to help we are."
"Liz this is dangerous."
"I don't care I want to help."
"Yeah, I agree with Liz, I want to help too." Toney said.
"You both know this is dangerous and you could end up hurt or worse...even dead." Max said.
"I don't care I want to help." Liz said.
"We'd better go, Toney you may have to take another route to your house." Max said.
"Don't worry. I can handle them if they follow me." Toney said.
"Okay, I'd better call Michael," Max said as he reached into his pocket.

"Michael, Liz and I are coming to the house. You and I need to talk," Max said.
"Okay. We'll see you in a few seconds."
Max closed his cell phone then turned and looked at Toney and Liz who in turn looked at Max.
"Toney, see if you can get the guys to follow you while Liz and I go to her house."
"Okay. Let me know when you get there." Toney said
"Sure, see you later." Max said.
Toney walked toward the front door, turned, looked at Max and Liz then walked out.
Max and Liz went to the door and watched as four cars followed Toney's car then Max flipped his cell phone open and dialed Michael's number.
"Hello." Michael asked
"Do you think you can get as close as you can to the front door so Liz and I can get into the car?" Max asked.
"Yeah, I can do that. Where are we going?" Michael asked.
"We're going back to Liz and Maria's place to have a talk." Max said.
"Okay. Be ready," Michael said.
"We are." Max said.
Max and Liz looked out the window and saw Michael and Maria getting into Michael's car and then Michael drove the car into the yard right up to the front door and then Michael rolled down the window and stuck his head out and said,
"Come on. Get in!"
Max opened the front door and pulled Liz with him as he ran to the car and got in. As soon as they were in the car Michael drove off toward the other house.
When they got to the house they rushed Liz and Maria into the house and they all stood and looked at each other...
"Michael and I are going to talk for a few minutes in the kitchen." Max said as he looked at the girls.
"Fine, Whatever. I need to take a shower and change anyway." Liz said.
After Liz walked away . Maria and Michael turned and looked at Max.
"What's wrong with Liz?" Maria asked
"Toney was over at the house and he got mad because Liz was there. He asked why we were hanging out and I guess that made her mad." Max said.
"Great! Toney gets mad because you and Liz are hanging out and talking and she's wearing the same dress she wore last night." Michael said.
"Yeah, that's about it." Max said.
"Wrong." Liz said as she stood in the door way.
"What is wrong now?" Maria asked.
"Toney came over to tell Max that the men that are out there, all the hit men and whoever else, are after Max and only Max." Liz said.
"Oh God." Maria said
"Oh boy." Michael said.
"Yeah. Maria can you come up stairs with me for a sec?" Liz asked
"Um, yeah sure," Maria said.
Max and Michael watched as Liz and Maria went up stairs and when they heard the door shut they turned and looked at each other.
"Come on lets talk in the kitchen," Max said.
"Yeah, sure." Michael said
They walked into the kitchen then Max looked out the window, turned and looked at Michael.
"What is going on?" Michael asked.
"Michael, I need to fake my death. I need you to help me to do that. And then help me find out who is trying to kill me." Max said.
"Max you know I'll help you, but what about Liz and Maria?" Michael asked.
"We need to let them think I'm dead too, everyone needs to think I'm dead." Max said.
"You know when Liz and Maria find out about this you're going to wish you were dead," Michael said.
"I know. But I need to let whoever wants to kill me come forward so that way I can figure out why this person wants me dead," Max said.
"Okay. So we fake your death. And find out who wants you dead right?" Michael asked.
"Yes," Max said.
"What about the girls? What if they are in danger?" Michael asked.
"The girls will be safe. You and me will secretly be keeping them safe. The girls won't know I'm helping you keep them safe," Max said.
"Okay. When do you want to do this and how will I be able yo talk to you if your in hiding?" Michael asked.
"Okay. First we need to come up with a plan, secondly we need to find out how to talk without anyone knowing," Max said.
"And we have to do this without the girls knowing. Right?" Michael asked.
"Yes. I just wonder what is wrong with Liz, she was mad when we left the house," Max said.
"You better take her aside and talk to her. Maybe she'll tell you what's going on," Michael said.
"Yeah, I'm going to take her to the club and see what things need to be done there," Max said.
"Okay. And while you're at the club I'll try and find a way for us to talk to each other and to find out what is going on." Michael said.
"That sounds like a good plan, I wonder what is taking the girls so long," Max said.
"Come on lets go find out," Michael said.
Max and Michael walked out of the kitchen and into the living room where they they saw Liz and Maria talking to someone on the phone so they stood in the doorway and listened to the girls.
"Hey Al, No we're safe. How is everything?" Liz asked.
"Everything is fine. I'm glad you're both doing okay. Beauty and her parents are still trying to find her brothers. I'm trying to help," Al said.
"God why did they leave them? They sound like such good parents," Liz said.
"They are. They are so happy that beauty and I are dating,they think I'm cute. Can you believe that?" Al asked.
"Al, we told you everyone likes you. You are a very likable person." Maria said.
"Thanks. That means a lot to to me," Al said
"Well you know it is the truth," Liz said.
"Thanks. Liz you are not going to believe this," Al said.
"What?" Liz asked.
"Beauty and I found out where your fathers' base is and we know what he is up to," Al said.
"Oh my God that is great," Liz said.
"What do you know so far?" Maria asked.
"Maria!" Liz said.
"What?" Maria asked.
"Liz your father has hired a couple of hit men to go after Max and Michael. They have orders to shoot to kill," Al said.
"What about Toney?" Liz asked.
"He has nothing planned for him so far. But he does have people keeping an eye on you, Max, Maria and Michael," Al said.
"Great. Al there were a group of men here at our house a couple of nights ago. Max and I pretended that we had sex. They saw the whole thing," Liz said.
"Wait... when was the hit put on Max and Michael?" Maria asked.
"5 days ago. Why?" Al asked.
"Oh boy," Liz said.
"What is going on?" Al asked.
"That is when Liz and Max put their act on," Maria said.
"Great... because of what I did Max and Michael are going to die!" Liz said.
"Liz, you and Maria better tell Max and Michael about the hit that's out on them," Al said.
"Tell us what?" Max asked.
Liz and Maria looked up and saw Max and Michael standing in the door way looking at them.
"Tell us what?" Max asked again.
"Um, you both better sit down for this," Liz said.
"What is going on?" Michael asked.
"Who is on the phone?" Max asked.
"First of all our friend Al is on the phone. He helps when he can and he finds things out for us too," Maria said.
"Okay. What is going on?" Max asked.
"Max you know how we pretended like we had sex in front of those guys?" Liz asked
"Yeah, why?" Max asked.
"Well, um, we think a couple of those men worked for my father," Liz said.
"And what?" Max asked.
"What Liz and Maria are trying to say is that Mr. Parker put a couple of hit men on you," Al said.

"Because you are, in his mind, dating Liz and Maria. He wants the both of you dead for touching the girls," Al said.

"Michael, Liz and I are coming to the house. You and I need to talk," Max said.
"Okay. We'll see you in a few seconds."
Max closed his cell phone then turned and looked at Toney and Liz who in turn looked at Max.
"Toney, see if you can get the guys to follow you while Liz and I go to her house."
"Okay. Let me know when you get there." Toney said
"Sure, see you later." Max said.
Toney walked toward the front door, turned, looked at Max and Liz then walked out.
Max and Liz went to the door and watched as four cars followed Toney's car then Max flipped his cell phone open and dialed Michael's number.
"Hello." Michael asked
"Do you think you can get as close as you can to the front door so Liz and I can get into the car?" Max asked.
"Yeah, I can do that. Where are we going?" Michael asked.
"We're going back to Liz and Maria's place to have a talk." Max said.
"Okay. Be ready," Michael said.
"We are." Max said.
Max and Liz looked out the window and saw Michael and Maria getting into Michael's car and then Michael drove the car into the yard right up to the front door and then Michael rolled down the window and stuck his head out and said,
"Come on. Get in!"
Max opened the front door and pulled Liz with him as he ran to the car and got in. As soon as they were in the car Michael drove off toward the other house.
When they got to the house they rushed Liz and Maria into the house and they all stood and looked at each other...
"Michael and I are going to talk for a few minutes in the kitchen." Max said as he looked at the girls.
"Fine, Whatever. I need to take a shower and change anyway." Liz said.
After Liz walked away . Maria and Michael turned and looked at Max.
"What's wrong with Liz?" Maria asked
"Toney was over at the house and he got mad because Liz was there. He asked why we were hanging out and I guess that made her mad." Max said.
"Great! Toney gets mad because you and Liz are hanging out and talking and she's wearing the same dress she wore last night." Michael said.
"Yeah, that's about it." Max said.
"Wrong." Liz said as she stood in the door way.
"What is wrong now?" Maria asked.
"Toney came over to tell Max that the men that are out there, all the hit men and whoever else, are after Max and only Max." Liz said.
"Oh God." Maria said
"Oh boy." Michael said.
"Yeah. Maria can you come up stairs with me for a sec?" Liz asked
"Um, yeah sure," Maria said.
Max and Michael watched as Liz and Maria went up stairs and when they heard the door shut they turned and looked at each other.
"Come on lets talk in the kitchen," Max said.
"Yeah, sure." Michael said
They walked into the kitchen then Max looked out the window, turned and looked at Michael.
"What is going on?" Michael asked.
"Michael, I need to fake my death. I need you to help me to do that. And then help me find out who is trying to kill me." Max said.
"Max you know I'll help you, but what about Liz and Maria?" Michael asked.
"We need to let them think I'm dead too, everyone needs to think I'm dead." Max said.
"You know when Liz and Maria find out about this you're going to wish you were dead," Michael said.
"I know. But I need to let whoever wants to kill me come forward so that way I can figure out why this person wants me dead," Max said.
"Okay. So we fake your death. And find out who wants you dead right?" Michael asked.
"Yes," Max said.
"What about the girls? What if they are in danger?" Michael asked.
"The girls will be safe. You and me will secretly be keeping them safe. The girls won't know I'm helping you keep them safe," Max said.
"Okay. When do you want to do this and how will I be able yo talk to you if your in hiding?" Michael asked.
"Okay. First we need to come up with a plan, secondly we need to find out how to talk without anyone knowing," Max said.
"And we have to do this without the girls knowing. Right?" Michael asked.
"Yes. I just wonder what is wrong with Liz, she was mad when we left the house," Max said.
"You better take her aside and talk to her. Maybe she'll tell you what's going on," Michael said.
"Yeah, I'm going to take her to the club and see what things need to be done there," Max said.
"Okay. And while you're at the club I'll try and find a way for us to talk to each other and to find out what is going on." Michael said.
"That sounds like a good plan, I wonder what is taking the girls so long," Max said.
"Come on lets go find out," Michael said.
Max and Michael walked out of the kitchen and into the living room where they they saw Liz and Maria talking to someone on the phone so they stood in the doorway and listened to the girls.
"Hey Al, No we're safe. How is everything?" Liz asked.
"Everything is fine. I'm glad you're both doing okay. Beauty and her parents are still trying to find her brothers. I'm trying to help," Al said.
"God why did they leave them? They sound like such good parents," Liz said.
"They are. They are so happy that beauty and I are dating,they think I'm cute. Can you believe that?" Al asked.
"Al, we told you everyone likes you. You are a very likable person." Maria said.
"Thanks. That means a lot to to me," Al said
"Well you know it is the truth," Liz said.
"Thanks. Liz you are not going to believe this," Al said.
"What?" Liz asked.
"Beauty and I found out where your fathers' base is and we know what he is up to," Al said.
"Oh my God that is great," Liz said.
"What do you know so far?" Maria asked.

"Liz your father has hired a couple of hit men to go after Max and Michael. They have orders to shoot to kill," Al said.

"He has nothing planned for him so far. But he does have people keeping an eye on you, Max, Maria and Michael," Al said.
"Great. Al there were a group of men here at our house a couple of nights ago. Max and I pretended that we had sex. They saw the whole thing," Liz said.

"There are two plans. One is to kill Max and Michael and make it look like an accident. The second one is to send pictures of them with Girls in a very shocking way." Al said.
"Oh boy. Dad has gone crazy!" Liz said.
"Yeah, we know that. That is why we are keeping a watch on him," Al said.
"Um, who are we?" Michael asked.
"Oh, um, me and my girlfriend are keeping an eye on Mr. Parker," Al said.
"Oh well... that's nice," Max said sarcastically...
"Lizzie I'll call you later with more info. I think I found something I want to check out first." Al said.
"Okay. Call me on my cell phone Al, hopefully you can find away to stop him or I'll stop him myself." Liz said.
"Don't worry, I'm checking right now," Al said.

Liz closed her cell phone and looked at Max and Michael.
"So what are we going to do today?" Maria asked.
"Liz and I are going to go to the club and look through some papers." Max said.
"Maria and I are going to the store to stock up on some food and things," Michael said.
"Good. How about we meet back here for dinner at 6p.m.?" Max suggested...
"Sounds good to me," Michael said.
"Hey!" Maria yelled.
"Will you pick up some beer too?" Max asked
"Sure. Well we better get going then," Michael said.
"Guys we didn't even agree to this." Liz said.
"Fine. Can we all have dinner together here tonight?" Michael asked.
"Fine. But please don't do anything dumb," Maria said.
"Maria we promise we won't do anything dumb," Michael said.
"Liz come on lets go to the club and see if we can find anything there," Max said.
"Okay. You know you're acting weird," Liz said.
"I'm sorry I've got a lot on my mind," Max said.
"Whatever," Liz said.
Liz walked past Max and out of the room and he turned and looked at Maria and Michael. They didn't know what to say to him. He followed Liz out of the room and he saw Liz waiting for him at the door, he opened it for her and he watched as she walked out to the car. Max shut the door and walked over to the car and unlocked the doors, got in the car and drove off.
No one talked while Max was driving and a few minutes later Max pulled into the club parking lot. He parked the car and watched Liz get out of the car and walk to the club doors then he got out of the car and followed her. When Max got to the doors they walked into the club together and then he shut the door and locked it. When he turned he saw Liz at the bar. He walked up to the bar and they both stood and looked at each other.
"Liz what is wrong?" Max asked.
"Nothing is wrong," Liz said.
"Then why are you acting like you're mad at me?" Max asked.
"The reason why I am acting mad is because you were not going to tell Michael what Toney said."
"Liz, I told Michael what Toney said," Max said.
"No I did. Then you guys go off and talk. Max when are you going to realize..." Liz asked before walking away.
Max turned and watched as Liz walked to the office and he followed her down the hall to the office as well. When he got to the office the door was shut, He opened the door, walked in, and, as he shut the door behind him he saw Liz sitting at the desk.
"What do you mean when am I going to realize? What are you talking about?" Max asked.
"Max what I'm trying to tell you is when will you realize that Maria and I are in this with you and Michael?" Liz asked.
"Liz, I do realize that you and Maria are in this with Michael and me. I'm just trying to do everything I can to get you both out of this alive." Max said.
"What happens if Maria and I want to help you and Michael?" Liz asked.
"Liz, I want you and Maria to stay out of this. I'm trying to make sure you and Maria don't get hurt." Max said.
"How are you going to keep us safe? We both worry about you and Michael!"
"Liz,don't worry! I'm telling you we will keep you and Maria safe. Nothing is going to happen to you two." Max said.
"How do you know that?" Liz asked.
"Liz, just trust me!" Max said.
"That seems weird coming from you right now. Max I know you're planning something. Whatever it is I hope you know what your doing," Liz said.
Max walked up to Liz, he reached down and touched Liz's hand, Liz looked down at Max's hand then looked up at Max.
"Tell me," Liz said.
"Liz I'm telling you now that I know what I'm doing. So please stop worrying okay," Max said.
"That is easier said than done."
"I know. All I'm going to tell you is that, in a few days, things are going to change. And you need to be ready." Max said.
"What do you mean?" Liz asked
"I can't tell you. But just don't worry okay," Max said.
"Max when you say things like that I start worrying."
"Liz, I'm trying to get you not to worry."
"Well... it's too late for that," Liz said.
Max stood in front of Liz and helped her to stand up . Their chests were touching as they looked at each other and as he looked into Liz's eyes he saw that she was scared and worried for him. Max raised his hand and brushed some hair away from her face and Liz touched his hand. Max leaned in and kissed Liz. The kiss was soft and tender, he pulled away and looked at Liz, then he leaned in and kissed Liz again, he wrapped is arms around Liz's waist and Liz wrapped her arms around Max's neck. The kiss started to turn heated as they touched each other. Max started to rub his hands up and down Liz's side and then Liz removed her arms from around Max's neck, she lowered her arms to her side and pulled back and looked at Max.
"Liz you need to trust me and not worry."
"Why?" Liz asked.
"Because I'm going to handle everything."
"How are you going to handle everything?"
"Sorry, I can't tell you. But don't worry everything will be fine."
"Why do I have a bad feeling about this?"
"Liz, you're going to have to learn to trust me when I tell you I'm going to take care of everything."
"That is the problem."
"What is the problem?"
"I don't know if I can trust you."
"Liz why don't you trust me?"
"Max, I know you are up to something and whatever it is must be dangerous. That's why you won't tell me what you and Michael are up to."
"Liz, I'm trying to keep you safe. I don't want anything to happen to you."
"Max,I'll probably get hurt either way,"
"I know, but I just hope that I don't hurt you as bad as your father is hurting you,"
"Max, whatever my dad has planned is something I don't care about. But whatever you have planned I might."

"Why do I have a feeling this is going to be goodbye soon?" Liz asked.
"Liz, I don't know, but whatever it is just know that I will always be here for you."

Max walked over to the shelves and started to look around while Liz sat at the desk watching him for a second.
As they looked through things they kept stealing a glance at each other and then Liz reached down and opened a drawer where she found a box. She searched around for a minute and then found an opener for the box and when she opened the box she saw pictures of Max, Michael and Toney. She pulled the pictures out and saw that some were of women and they were doing things for Toney. In one of the pictures Liz saw Max and Michael beating up some guy, Liz looked up at Max...
Right at that moment Max turned and looked at Liz and noticed that Liz was a little pale.
"Liz what is it?" Max asked.
"Come and see for yourself."
Max walked over to the desk and looked into the box at the pictures.
"What are these?" Max asked.
"Look." Liz said.
Max looked at the pictures and saw there were some of him and Michael with different woman and others were of him and Michael hurting people. Max dropped the pictures and looked at Liz, he saw she had tears streaming down her face and he used this thumb to brush the tears away.
"Liz?" Max asked.
"Is this really what has been going on?" Liz asked, trying to control her tears...
"Some of it is but the ones of me with different woman, that is not true!" Max said determinedly.
" And the ones with Michael with different women?" Liz asked
"Those are not true either." Max said.
Liz stood up and walked over to the window and looked out, Max walked up and stood behind her. He reached his hand out to touch Liz but then pulled back.
"Liz, before we met, yeah, we knew some of those women. But since we met you and Maria all we ever wanted to do is to be with the two of you. We still want to be with you. Nothing is going to change that."
"Max, the thing that hurts the most is that you both use women and sleep with them. And you hurt men too... as a job. What is to say that you both won't use Maria and me?"

Max looked at the pictures and saw there were some of him and Michael with different woman and others were of him and Michael hurting people. Max dropped the pictures and looked at Liz, he saw she had tears streaming down her face and he used this thumb to brush the tears away.
"Liz?" Max asked.
"Is this really what has been going on?" Liz asked, trying to control her tears...
"Some of it is but the ones of me with different woman, that is not true!" Max said determinedly.
" And the ones with Michael with different women?" Liz asked
"Those are not true either." Max said.
Liz stood up and walked over to the window and looked out, Max walked up and stood behind her. He reached his hand out to touch Liz but then pulled back.
"Liz, before we met, yeah, we knew some of those women. But since we met you and Maria all we ever wanted to do is to be with the two of you. We still want to be with you. Nothing is going to change that."
"Max, the thing that hurts the most is that you both use women and sleep with them. And you hurt men too... as a job. What is to say that you both won't use Maria and me?"
"Liz, I promise you here and now I won't use you in anyway."
Liz turned around and they looked at each other.
"Fine... but if you ever hurt me you will be very sorry."
"I have no doubt about that at all." Max said.
"Good, now that you know that, what are we going to do about this box?" Liz asked.

"We need to talk," Liz said.
Everyone sat down and looked at each other.
"Um, do you guys know a guy named Spike?" Liz asked.
"Yeah. What about him?" Michael asked.
"He is, um, dead. His brother blames Max and there is another thing too," Liz said.
"What?" Max asked
"He's in town and is looking for Michael in order to find Max. And my father has a reward out for the both of you." Liz said.
"What do you mean reward?" Michael asked.
"A million dollars for Max and Michael dead or alive." Liz said.
"What about Toney?" Maria asked.
"Toney is not on the list." Liz said.
"Does you father and Spikes brother know each other?" Michael asked.
"No. But Al said he would let me know if anything comes up." Liz said.
"Um, what is in the box?" Maria asked.
"Maria." Liz said, trying to prevent Maria from looking...
Maria looked into the box and saw pictures of Max and Michael with different women. She also saw Max and Michael hurting people. After she saw all of the pictures she turned and looked at the rest of the group.
"What are these?" Maria asked.
"Um, Eric left them for me to find." Liz said.
"What is it?" Michael asked.
"They are pictures of you and me with other woman. And what we did while working with Toney." Max said.
"Wait, you were with these women for what? Was it just sex or did you love them?" Maria asked.

"Yes. We loved them. The girls broke up with us a month later because they couldn't handle what we were doing." Michael said.
"Oh, are you guys just using us then?" Maria asked.

Michael and Maria leaned in and kissed and then they turned and looked at Max and Liz.
"Max, are you using Liz? Are you going to hurt her?" Maria asked.
"No Maria, I'm not using Liz, and I'm not going to hurt her." Max said.
"Maria, Max and I are friends." Liz said.
"I know, I just don't want you to get hurt." Maria said.
"Maria the last thing I want to do is to hurt Liz." Max said.
"Okay. I believe you Max. But if you hurt Liz you will regret it." Maria said.
Max turned and looked at Liz and he saw Liz had a smile on her face.
"What just happened? And why are you smiling?" Max asked.
"Max, Maria just gave you the big sister talk. That is why I'm smiling." Liz said.
About that time Liz's cell phone started ringing...
"Hello?"
"Liz I'm sending you something in the mail. It should be there any time." Al said.
"What is it?" Liz asked.
"Liz don't worry, I left you a note inside the box. Oh, by the way, your father is still trying to find you." Al said.
"I know that. What is wrong?" Liz asked.
"Beauty and I need to get away for a while. So we are going down south to visit a couple of friends. We'll be back in a couple of days." Al said.
"Al?" Liz asked.
"Liz your father sent some men to find us. We need to leave. Don't worry we will be fine. And we will call when we can. Gotta go." Al said.
"Bye," Liz said as she closed her cell phone.
They all looked at Liz who had a weird look on her face. Right at that moment the door bell rang. Liz walked out of the living room toward the door and opened it and someone handed her a box. She took the box into the kitchen and grabbed a knife to open the box and when she got it opened she found a letter addressed to her. She pulled the letter out and opened it.
After Liz read the letter she ran to the sink and threw up. Max, Maria and Michael ran into the kitchen and saw her ...
"Lizzie what is it?" Maria asked.
"Oh God. My father is insane!" Liz said.
"What do you mean?" Michael asked.
"Maria remember our friend Steve?" Liz asked.
"Yeah, what about him?" Maria asked.
"Al, um, said he was killed in an accident. But the thing is, dad killed him." Liz said.
"What did the letter say?" Maria asked.
"Dear Lizzie and Maria,
By the time you get this Beauty and I will be gone.
Lizzie your father is hunting everyone down to find you and Maria. We decided to leave for a while. We will keep in touch so don't worry.
Liz in the box there are trackers, cell phones and tazer guns. I know you hate to use them but you need to use them as protection.

"He sent them because we might need them. Can we eat now?" Liz asked.
Michael stood in front of Liz and Maria with his arms crossed. Max stood next to them.
"Answer the question, do you both know how to shoot the guns?" Michael asked.
"Yes we know how to shoot a gun." Maria said.
"For how long?" Michael asked.
"Since we were 16." Liz said.
"Why?" Max asked.
"Max we needed to know how to protect ourselves and we needed to make sure, if dad went weird, we could take care of ourselves." Liz said.
"What does this guy Al do for you?" Michael asked.
"He finds things out for us." Maria said.
"Question... are you both working for whoever your father works for?" Max asked.
"No. As far as we are concerned he is dead." Liz said.
"Okay. let's eat." Maria said.
"Um, yeah." Liz said.
Max and Michael looked at each other then looked at Liz and Maria who were getting pizza and a few minutes later they were all seated and eating. As they ate their pizza no one said anything. After dinner Liz stood up and walked out of the kitchen and headed upstairs to her bed room. When Liz walked into her bedroom she shut the door, walked over to her bed and sat down. She wasn't sure if Max would want to be around her after tonight.
A few minutes later there was a knock on the door, the door opened and someone walked into the room and shut the door behind them.
Liz felt the bed dip and turned to see Max sitting next to her. She looked down at her hands and then looked out the window. Max watched as she walked to the window then he stood up and walked over to her, he raised his arms and put them around Liz, who leaned back for a sec. and then she turned and looked at Max.
"Max if you don't want to hang out because of tonight. I'll understand," Liz said.
"Liz, I don't want to stop hanging around you," Max said.
"Are you sure?" Liz asked.
"Yes, I want to hang out with you," Max said
"I'm glad," Liz said.
"Well then, tomorrow we're hanging out so what do you want to do?" Max asked.
"I don't know, just as long as we can hang out and have fun." Liz said.
"That sounds good to me too."
"Max I'm sorry we didn't tell you sooner." Liz said
"Liz it is okay. I'm glad that I know now." Max said.
Max and Liz looked at each other and smiled and then they leaned in and hugged.
A few seconds later they both pulled away and looked at each other.
"I better go to the spare room." Max said.
As Max was about to leave he heard moaning from outside the bedroom door, he turned and looked at Liz who had a shocked look on her face, she walked up to Max, grabbed his arm, and hung on...
"It seems Michael and Maria made up." Max said with a grin...
"Yeah, Max will you stay here with me?" Liz asked.
"Um, yeah, sure. I'll sleep on the floor." Max said.
"No... I mean, we can share the bed..." Liz said.
"Are you sure?" Max asked.
"Yeah, I'm sure." Liz said.
"Okay," Max said.
Max and Liz sat on the bed and took off their shoes. They pulled the blanket over them as they laid down and a few minutes later Liz was fast asleep.

In the morning:
Max woke up and saw Liz sleeping in his arms. He smiled as he held her. Then he realized that he couldn't move. Liz had him trapped by her body. So max just laid there holding her until she woke up. When she awoke she sat up and turned around and noticed Max was asleep. She watched him as he slept and as she was watched he started to wake up and when he opened his eyes they smiled at each other.
"Good morning," Max said.
"Good morning. How did you sleep," she asked.
"I slept fine. What about you?" Max asked
"I slept good too," she said.
"That's good...we'd better get up. We need to leave here before noon." Max said.
"Where are we going?" she asked.
"It is a surprise. I'm sorry I can't tell you, now get up and get ready." Max said.
"What do I wear?" Liz asked
"A little hint, bring a dress, swimsuit, a couple pairs of shorts and a couple of nice tops." Max said.
"Fine. I hope it will be okay with Michael and Maria," Liz said.
"Don't worry. I'll talk to them while you take a shower and get everything ready," Max said.
"Are you sure." Liz asked
"Yes, I'm sure now go." Max said.
Max watched as Liz grabbed some clothes and went out the door. After she was gone he then made the bed, opened the bedroom door and walked out. He walked down the hallway, down the stairs and into the kitchen where he saw Michael and Maria drinking coffee. When they heard a noise they turned and saw Max.
"Um, hey," Max said.
"Hey what's going on?" Michael asked
"I, um, wanted to let you know Liz and I are going to be gone for a couple of days," Max said.
"Where are you going?" Maria asked
"I'm taking Liz to have some fun for a couple of days. We want to hang out before... you know." Max said.
"And?" Maria asked.
"And I'm hoping you're both okay with it,"Max said.
What Maria didn't know was that Michael knew Max wanted to hang out with Liz before he faked his death. Michael could understand that more then anything.
"Sounds good to me. When are you leaving and plannong on returning?" Michael asked.
"Maria?" Max asked.
"I think it would be nice to get away for awhile. So I say go have fun." Maria said.
"Really?" Max asked.
"Yes really," Maria said.
"How long will you be gone for?" Michael asked again.
"If it's okay with you we'll be back Tuesday afternoon?" Max asked
"That sounds great. Oh, and Max, no fishing... "Maria said.
"Why?"
"Liz is, um, not good at fishing. Leave it at that." Maria said.
"Are you both going to be okay here without us?" Max asked
"We'll be fine. I think it will be good to take a break before the trouble starts," Michael said.
"Yeah, I agree with Michael. So have fun," Maria said.
"Thanks," Max said.
"Where is Liz anyway?" Michael asked.
"She is taking a shower. I wanted us to leave here in a few." Max said.
"Sounds like a plan," Maria said.
"Max where did you sleep last night?" Michael asked
"Liz and I talked last night. I guess we fell asleep on the bed while talking," Max said.

When Liz walked into the kitchen wearing hip hugger jeans and an off the shoulder shirt she noticed everyone looking at her.
"What?" She asked
"Nothing... you look nice." Maria said.
"Thanks," Liz said with a smile, enjoying the compliment.
"So are you ready to go?" Max asked.
"Yeah, what's going on?" Liz asked.
"Nothing. We were just talking," Maria said.
"Max... question, what are you going to do about working with Toney?" Liz asked.
"Don't worry I'll tell Toney Max needs a break. So Max is taking a couple of days off." Michael said.
"Do you think Toney will believe it?" Maria asked
Yes. Toney will believe it. So don't worry," Michael said.
"Okay!" Liz and Maria said at the same time.
"So what are you and Michael going to do?" Liz asked.
"Don't worry. We'll be busy checking for Spikes brother and keeping those men busy." Michael said.
"You promise you both will stay safe and not get hurt." Liz asked.
"Yes I promise to stay safe and to protect Maria with my life." Michael said
"Thank you." Liz said.
"No problem." Michael said.
"Yes I promise to stay safe and not do anything stupid." Maria added.
"Good." Liz said.
"Liz are you ready to go?" Max asked
"Um. I need to grab something and I'll be ready." Liz said.
"I'll help you," Maria said
Max and Michael watched as Liz and Maria walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs to the bed rooms they turned and looked at each other.
"Max what is going on?" Michael asked
"I just want to hang out with Liz before I fake my death," Max said.
"I knew that is what you would say. I hope you both have fun."Michael said.
"Thanks. I hope you both will be okay while we're gone," Max said.
"Don't worry we will be fine. You and Liz have fun and watch out for trouble." Michael said.
"Don't worry, you know we will," Max said.
"You will what?" Liz asked.
Max and Michael turned and saw Liz and Maria standing in front of them.
"Again you will what?" Liz asked.
"Michael just wanted to wish us to be careful and have fun." Max said.
"Whatever." Liz said.
So do you have everything?" Max asked
"Um, yeah," Liz said.
"Then come on lets go," Max said.
They all walked out of the kitchen toward the door where Max grabbed his and Liz's bags. Max turned and looked at everyone and watched as Liz and Maria hugged. Liz turned and looked at Michael and smiled then Max opened the door and pulled Liz with him. They walked out the door and headed to Max's car, got in and drove off.
Liz noticed, after they left town that Max turned into a dirt road and a few minutes later they pulled up to a cabin. She turned and looked at Max.
"Where are we?" she asked.
"A cabin I own. Come on let's check it out," Max said.
"How many places do you own?" Liz asked.
"I own this one which is a lake cabin and then I have a cabin in the woods and two beach houses. One in California and another one in Florida," Max said.
"Does Michael and your family know about these places?" Liz asked.
"Michael knows about this one and the one in the woods. But Michael and my family don't know about the others." Max said.
"Why?" Liz asked
"Because I think it's safer that way." Max said.
"Max I know..." Liz said.
"Liz. If anything happens or there is danger I want you to go to one of my places and stay safe," Max said.
"Is something going to happen to you?" Liz asked.
"No..but I want you to be safe just in case," Max said.
"Max you know when you say something like that your scare me."
"I'm not trying to scare you. I'm just trying to make sure you're safe."
"Fine!"
"Okay. Now come on and check the place out,"
They got out of the car and walked up on to the porch. Max reached into his pocket and grabbed the key and unlocked the door and they went in. Max turned and saw Liz was shocked at how nice the place was, they turned and looked at each other...
"So, what do you think?" Max asked

"Yes I promise to stay safe and to protect Maria with my life." Michael said
"Thank you." Liz said.
"No problem." Michael said.
"Yes I promise to stay safe and not do anything stupid." Maria added.
"Good." Liz said.
"Liz are you ready to go?" Max asked
"Um. I need to grab something and I'll be ready." Liz said.
"I'll help you," Maria said
Max and Michael watched as Liz and Maria walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs to the bed rooms they turned and looked at each other.
"Max what is going on?" Michael asked
"I just want to hang out with Liz before I fake my death," Max said.
"I knew that is what you would say. I hope you both have fun."Michael said.
"Thanks. I hope you both will be okay while we're gone," Max said.
"Don't worry we will be fine. You and Liz have fun and watch out for trouble." Michael said.
"Don't worry, you know we will," Max said.
"You will what?" Liz asked.
Max and Michael turned and saw Liz and Maria standing in front of them.
"Again you will what?" Liz asked.
"Michael just wanted to wish us to be careful and have fun." Max said.
"Whatever." Liz said.
So do you have everything?" Max asked
"Um, yeah," Liz said.
"Then come on lets go," Max said.
They all walked out of the kitchen toward the door where Max grabbed his and Liz's bags. Max turned and looked at everyone and watched as Liz and Maria hugged. Liz turned and looked at Michael and smiled then Max opened the door and pulled Liz with him. They walked out the door and headed to Max's car, got in and drove off.
Liz noticed, after they left town that Max turned into a dirt road and a few minutes later they pulled up to a cabin. She turned and looked at Max.
"Where are we?" she asked.
"A cabin I own. Come on let's check it out," Max said.
"How many places do you own?" Liz asked.
"I own this one which is a lake cabin and then I have a cabin in the woods and two beach houses. One in California and another one in Florida," Max said.
"Does Michael and your family know about these places?" Liz asked.
"Michael knows about this one and the one in the woods. But Michael and my family don't know about the others." Max said.
"Why?" Liz asked
"Because I think it's safer that way." Max said.
"Max I know..." Liz said.
"Liz. If anything happens or there is danger I want you to go to one of my places and stay safe," Max said.
"Is something going to happen to you?" Liz asked.
"No..but I want you to be safe just in case," Max said.
"Max you know when you say something like that your scare me."
"I'm not trying to scare you. I'm just trying to make sure you're safe."
"Fine!"
"Okay. Now come on and check the place out,"
They got out of the car and walked up on to the porch. Max reached into his pocket and grabbed the key and unlocked the door and they went in. Max turned and saw Liz was shocked at how nice the place was, they turned and looked at each other...
"So, what do you think?" Max asked
