Today, my 9-year-old brother kicked my ass at Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe. Repeatedly.

There are no words that seem adequate enough to accurately convey my level of amusement/horror/disbelief/amazement/incredulity.

Wow.

We celebrated my son's birthday today, even though it was on the 4th it was the first chance we'd really gotten to take him out. So we go down to the Children's Museum, because we heard this place was really cool, which it was, but as we're walking around the gift shop it hits me, the place is a giant marketing scam. It's really just giant displays for toys`that are all available in the gift shop. It was fun though all of it was like hands on learning stuff, and then they had this giant playground on the roof that had everything a kid dreams of with the exception of swings and seesaws. It just sucks that they didn't have places like that when I was a kid. They're pretty awesome.

You're damn right you do.

My day was pretty damn good. I spent two and half hours in the hair dressers and went from brunette to a caramel blonde.

It's intensely different, but I really like it. It actually suits me, which is a relief because I was absolutely petrified that I'd look horrendous. Everyone else likes it too, which is great. My dad even said that I should keep it that colour, so that's a recommendation.

I also just heard back from the people that repaired my laptop and it doesn't look as dire as it once was. Apparently it's just fluff. Once again. So hooray, because I haven't backed up for a couple of months. I couldn't really bear the thought of losing everything I've done, so I'm pumped!

Good day.
