Emilie De Ravin joins ABC drama pilot
James Hibberd
Lost star Emilie De Ravin is joining Anthony LaPaglia in ABC’s drama pilot Americana.
The show is a primetime soap about a iconic fashion industry family (the brand name is “Americana”). LaPaglia plays the family patriarch and De Ravin is his daughter Francesca, who handles special events for the company. Ken Olin and Natalie Mendoza are also cast.
Americana is one of a slew of drama projects in contention for ABC’s fall slate.
Dang it just found out and was hoping I'd be first to report this

Well got to clear out my TIVO so I can make room for this ONE!!!

Thanks for the link, La' Shon.
I'm excited! It sounds like it'll be interesting!
Really looking forward to seeing Emilie back on a tv series, as a regular.
Totally missed the whole
LOST phenomena while it was on.
Didn't watch a single ep. Which is strange, because I'm all about
the SYFY, or shows with an element of mystery to them.
All I know is, a bunch of people (including Emilie's character)
are trapped on some island after a plane crash.
I plan to watch it on netflix, though. Someday.
I still need to check-out her role as Belle on this other
show you guys are mentioning. Never watched that either.
Man, so NOT up-to-date with what's on tv these days.
I guess I can watch past eps on the ABC website.
Anyhoo, I hope her new show,
Americana, gets a pass from the big wig tv execs,
and I actually get a chance to watch that series with the rest of the world!
Don't have TIVO, or anything, so if I miss something... I miss it.
Online eps would be okay, but I'd feel better knowing my viewership
(however minuscule) is contributing to television ratings.
