Wow, that's alot of good songs! Every one of it makes me sad because there can't exactly be Alex-Isabel anymore since Alex is dead.

Well, making Alex wait was never really a thing that was mentioned in the show, but I just heard this song and its tone kinduv reminded me of how Alex loves Isabel. Also, well, there was that bit in 'to serve and protect' when she couldn't make up her mind what to wear for he-who-shall-not-be-named:

(Just realized that the lyrics have a possibly more bittersweet aspect for Alex/Isabel... is he 'waiting for her on the other side' already?? Personally, I prefer to think of things... you know, the other way, with Alex alive and happy and spending a nice full life with Izzy. )

I love the lyrics of the song you posted Chrisken

It puts an image of my mind of Alex waiting for Izzy in the afterlife,nothing will keep them apart.
Reminds me of a quote from the movie "Troy" by Paris "we will be together in this life or the next"...although like you I like to imagine him being alive and them having a normal happy life together and that "J" man not being anywhere in the picture
