“Father, Mother please,” Liz begged her parents.
“I don’t understand what the problem is Liz. You don’t want to live on campus and the penthouse is a suitable option,” Nancy Parker explained to her daughter.
“He lives there!” Liz cried.
“Elizabeth the Evans’s have been family friends for years. You and Max practically grew up together. He will be a suitable roommate and that is the end of this discussion.” Jeff Parker replied, his voice leaving no room for argument. And Liz dropped into the lounge in defeat.
Liz Parker was what you could describe as the perfect daughter. She was an only child, and her father was a very successful businessman. Liz didn’t consider herself spoiled, however she did realize that she had access to things that a lot of other people didn’t.

“So you’re moving into the penthouse?” Maria asked excitedly.
Liz sighed, “Yes.”
“Why don't sound happy about this?” Maria asked. “You’ve wanted this since we started college,” she pointed out.
Liz attended NYU with Maria, Maria’s boyfriend Michael and her brother Kyle. For the first year she had lived on campus and shared a room with Maria but now that they were second year they could choose to live off campus if they liked.
Ever since Liz had been accepted to NYU she had dreamed of moving into the penthouse apartment her parents shared with the Evans, but when she found out that Max Evans lived there too, she changed her mind. Her parents however refused to pay for her to live somewhere else, and now it was too late to get a room back on campus.
“I know but I have to share with someone,” Liz told her.
“Oh really, who?” Maria asked intrigued.
“Max Evans,” Liz informed her.
On the other side of the phone Maria Deluca’s eyes had gone wide. Max Evans was famous at NYU, he was a bona fied hottie and most girls would chew off their right arm to be sharing a bed with him let a lone an apartment. It didn’t surprise Maria though that her best friend would be the one woman who wouldn’t fall for his charms. Liz was what most people would call a prude. She rarely dated, she was a virgin and Maria knew for a fact that Liz had it bad for her brother Kyle, who unfortunately didn’t know she was alive as anything more than a friend.
“Oh My God!” Maria squealed. “You get to live with Max Evans?”
Liz snorted at her friend’s excitement. It was obvious that Maria didn’t know Max Evans or she wouldn’t be saying the things she was. “You don’t know what he’s like Maria,” she pointed out. “The guy is a first class pig.”
“Liz he can’t be that bad, he wouldn’t have all those girls hanging all over him if he was.”
Liz scoffed. “He’s a pig Maria, he uses women. Those girls don’t know him, I do. I grew up with him.”
The memories of all the family get togethers where Max ignored her came flooding back. When they were smaller they used to be friends and play together. But soon after that, the Evans sent Max off to boarding school. It wasn't until he was 14 when Liz saw him again. After that he had never given her the time of day and sometimes had even gone out of his way to be rude or to embarrass her in front of people.
“So what are you going to do then?” Maria asked.
“Nothing,” Liz sighed. “My parents wont pay for me to stay anywhere else and it’s too late to move back to campus.”
“True,” Maria agreed. “So when do you move in?” she asked.
“The end of the week,” Liz informed her.

Max frowned as he watched more and more suitcases and boxes being delivered to his apartment. That’s right, it was his apartment. He had lived there for the past year by himself and that’s the way he wanted it to stay. To say that he was less than impressed when his mother had informed him that Liz would be moving in was an understatement. He had shouted and objected until he was blue in the face, and in the end his father had informed him to either suck it or up or to look at paying the bills himself. But if Liz Parker thought he was going to change his lifestyle for her then she had another thing coming.
He made no move to help when they asked where he wanted the stuff, instead he would just point to the spare room next to his own. If he was going to have to put up with Liz Parker living with him then he was going to make her life a living hell.
“Hello?” Liz called out as she entered the apartment.
Max watched as she looked around the apartment and then scrunched her nose up.
“What is that smell?” she asked.
Max smirked, “That is the smell of wild sex, but you wouldn’t know that now would you prude?”
Liz frowned when she heard his voice and his scathing comment.
“Hello Max,” she said through gritted teeth.
Max took in her appearance from his spot on the couch. She had changed since the last time he had seen her. Her hair was longer and her clothes a little trendier and if he wasn’t mistaken her tits looked a bit bigger too.
“Are you alright there?” she snapped.
Max smirked, “I’m fine!” he said, “You?”
“Fine,” she replied.
“Which room is mine?” she asked.
Max pointed to the room where all her stuff had been taken and Liz nodded.
“Where’s your room?” she asked.
“Already planning a midnight visit sugar?” he asked.
Liz resisted the urge to walk over and slap his face. “You wish,” she mumbled.
“Actually no,” he smirked. “And my room is the one next to yours.”
“What!” Liz said. “Why on earth would you do that when this place has like four bedrooms?” she objected.
Max smirked, “Obviously Ma and Pa didn’t let you in on a few things,” he told her.
“That,” he pointed to other half of the penthouse. “Is off limits. It’s closed off in case they need to use it for something.”
“What!” Liz shrieked.
“Yeah I know,” he nods. “It sucks.”
“Well if we’re going to be sleeping in such close proximity then I think we need to put some ground rules in place,” Liz started.
Max laughed at her, “Yeah right. Just stay out of my way and we’ll be fine,” he told her before he stood up and walked into his own room and closed the door.
Liz walked towards her room and looked at the all the suitcases and boxes that she had to unpack. She kicked off her shoes and got straight into it. She was only working twenty minutes when she heard a knock on the front door. She heard Max’s bedroom door open and assumed he was going to answer it, it had to be for him since no one knew where she lived yet.
The door to Max’s room closed again, and Liz sighed in relief until ten minutes later someone started banging on the wall.
“Oh god Max, yes right there!”
“Oh god,” she groaned and covered her mouth. He wouldn’t dare would he?
“Yes Max, oh fuck me harder!” she heard the women cry as the banging against the wall got louder and harder.
Liz pulled her ipod out of her bag and turned it up before putting the ear plugs into her ears. It drowned out the sound of Max and his friend’s activities enough that Liz could get back to work.
Two hours later Liz had pretty much finished unpacking most of the stuff she had brought with her. She pulled the earphones out of her ears assuming that by now Max would have worn himself out, but to her surprise and disgust they were still going at it.
“Oh Max!” she heard the women moan.
“Oh, Oh, Oh. I’m coming!” she squealed and Liz wondered how Max could concentrate when the whiny voice never stopped.
Frustrated she walked over to the wall and banged on it a few times and was relieved when it quieted down. She grabbed her stuff and moved to the bathroom, thankful once again that a bathroom was one thing that she didn’t have to share with Max. All of the bedrooms in the penthouse had their own bathrooms.
After a nice long hot shower where she washed and conditioned her hair, as well as shaved her legs and under her arms Liz returned to her bedroom where she was thankful it was quiet. She crawled under the crisp sheets of her bed and flicked the television on quietly as she tried to wind down. Her peace was short lived though, and soon the banging against the wall started up again.
“Oh Max!” the women cried.
“Ah, oh!”
Liz gritted her teeth and turned the television up in an effort to down out the sound. It didn’t work.

Liz sighed as she sipped the strong coffee. It had been an extremely long night, and on top of that she had an early class on Monday mornings.
Max walked into the kitchen in only a pair of boxer shorts whistling.
Liz bit her tongue from making a scathing remark.
“Morning,” Max smiled.
“For some maybe,” Liz replied as she continued to read the paper in front of her as she sipped her coffee.
“Didn’t sleep well?” Max asked.
Liz placed her mug of coffee down calmly and turned to him. “Your kidding right?” she asked.
“No, is the bed uncomfortable?” he asked.
“No!” Liz snapped. “The bed was quite nice actually, it had more to do with the constant banging against the wall and the incessant Oh Max, yes Max’s!”
Max scratched his ear and did his best to play innocent. “So you heard that huh?”
“Yes!” Liz snapped.
“I’ll try to be quieter in the future,” he smiled.
“Your not the problem!” Liz cried.
“Ok, ok,” Max chuckled. He knew exactly what she was talking about but he also had no intention of stopping either. He was living here before Liz, and he figured that if Liz complained enough to her father that eventually he would agree to let her move out, or have the other half of the penthouse.
Liz was already having similar thoughts and planned on discussing her living arrangements with her father that afternoon.
Ok, i probably won't update this very often, this is kind of my let loose fic. I am concentrating on Mixed Up and Change of Heart but will update this when i can.
