Title: Return To Earth

Summary:

This story takes place after Departure with some major differences. Liz figured out too late that Tess had been the one to kill Alex and by the time she, Maria, and Kyle had gotten to the pod chamber the ship had taken off with Michael, Max, Isabel and Tess. (Michael never came out of the chamber like in the show mostly due to the fact that Tess used her mind warp on him to get him to come)

But, much to Tess’s horror, when the royal four arrived on Antar they were able to see through each other’s powers. So they knew Tess had mind warped them and that she had also killed Alex. Tess had also used her power to make Max think she was pregnant when she really wasn’t and Max and she had also never had sex.

Also when they returned to their home planet they are able to take there place as royalty because Khivar was killed a few months before. However they have there work cut out for them because the planet has been at war for over fifty years. Max ordered Tess to be condemned to a prison for the rest of her life while he took up his role as king to try and restore the planet. After 7 years they finally get a government much like the one in Great Britain where there is a parliament and the King is more of a figure head. They do this so they can return to earth but Max doesn’t realize that back on earth life is hell.

When the skins realized that the Royal Four were back on Antar and now running it they got the hell out of there and unfortunately set there sights on Earth. They took it over within a year but to there surprise a resistance group of humans still fought on. Led by an leader with the power to give hope to her followers (Liz Parker), the resistance group was slowly becoming more of a threat to the Skins.

The Skins not only have there people but many humans have also switched over to there side. So this war has been going on for close to seven years and Isabel, Max, Michael, and Larek (returns to keep them safe and also because he has a thing for Isabel) return to a very different home. Michael wants Maria back and of course Max wants to fix things with Liz.

Liz has been leading the Resistance with Kyle, Maria, and Ava at her side. She doesn’t understand how she became the leader but she takes her role seriously because the fate of mankind depends on whether or not they can defeat the skins.

So basically Liz, Kyle, Ava, and Maria are all very different people than you remember. War can change people and when the people you love leave you, you have to become stronger in order to survive.
The story will begin with the aliens just landing on Earth and finding out how much everything has changed. They find out what’s happened with the war and try and find there friends and loved ones.

The way Max, Michael, Isabel, and Larek find the Resistance Group is that Liz, Kyle, Ava, and Maria created an underground base under the Pod Chamber. So when they decide to go to the Pod Chamber to try and regroup after they land on earth they are captured by Resistance soldiers as soon as they enter and are taken to holding cell. When Liz comes down to see these prisoners that were able to infiltrate the base she realizes who they are. (but not without some convincing)

The Resistance

Name: Elizabeth Parker
Age: 24
Position: Leader of the Human Resistance Group
Liz has become very different since Max left. He heart has become hard from having the love of her life leave her with another woman. She is also had to become a killer of both Skins and Traitor Humans alike. She is not the same Liz Parker. After Max left her powers started which give her an advantage most humans don't have. She uses her power of premonitions to help her to place her troops in places the Skins wouldn't think of. Also with hand to hand combat she knows what her opponent is going to do next which helps give her an upper hand. She gave up on ever seeing Max again and as focused solely on being a leader and a soldier. Will anyone ever be able to make her feel anything again?

** The Skins also have a huge bounty out for her Capture. They think if they can get her the rebellion would cease to exists.

Name: Maria De Luca
Age: 24
Rank: Field Commander - HRG (Human Resistance Group)
War changes people and Commander Maria De Luca is no exception. Shortly after the aleins' departure she began training with the great Master Kim. She quickly became his star pupil, earning black belts in three different martial art disciplines - Karate, Judo and Tae Kwon Do. Before his death (at the hand of a Skin) Master Kim affectionately renamed her Loca, because of her extreme fighting style and brazen attitude. She has gone by this moniker ever since.
Along with her expertise in the martial arts, she has also trained along side former US Navy Seals and Green Beret's to become the ultimate super soldier. Despite the fact that she is completely human and has no alien powers, she has earned a reputation among the Skins as one of the most feared members of the resistance.
No longer ruled by her emotions, she is tough as nails and shows no weakness. She blames the alien's for what has befallen earth and has no love for them whatsoever, despite the fact that she once called them friends, and continues to be in love with Michael (though you'd be hard pressed to have her admit it). She has no time for sensibilities; she's to busy saving whatever is left of Earth. She considers the aliens' departure from earth to be selfish, self-serving and cowardly. Leaving them without warning, totally unprepared, to fend for themselves, is unforgivable.
She and Liz continue to be very good friends.

Name: Ava Valenti
Age:24
Background: Although Ava is as committed a soldier as anyone, she has allowed herself to soften enough to fall in love. She and Kyle find refuge from the difficulties of war with each other. No longer taking the time to be a punk, in some ways Ava fits in better in Roswell these days, however, in other ways she will never fit in and she longs for the day that the antarians may return and she will be among people truly like her. She is a committed soldier and uses her powers to help in anyway she can. A strategic commander, and a master of subterfuge Ava deals with a lot of the recon, however, she and Kyle argue somewhat as he doesn't like her putting herself in danger.

Name: Kyle Valenti
Code Name: BB (Buddah Boy)
Age: 24
Position: Forward Observer for the Resistance
Kyle has changed over the years. He leads a small group of theives and spies for the Resistance. He steals weapons and information from the skins as well as supplies. He is married to Ava who he loves dearly.

Name: Danai Sarieta
Age: 225 (Earth age...... 25)
Race: Lykari Shapeshifter
Appearance: When in human form, she most often appears as a woman with long raven hair trailing down to her knees and kept mostly in a single braid. Upon her form, is often found only black leather clothing and a crescent moon birthmark that is located in the center of her forehead (this birthmark is apparent in all her forms.) Her eyes are usually seen as emerald with silver flecks which rarely give off anything of what she thinks or feels.
Position: No real rank since though she joined the resistance, she hasn't really followed a code or orders, more that she chooses when to go on her missions and brings back any supplies or information she can when she returns, reporting only to Loca, Raven, Kyle or Ava.
Abilities: Beyond her ability to shapeshift into nearly any creature that is considered to be of medium build (wolf, bear, lion) etc. or simply change her appearance at will, she is also capable of using forms that are often considered those of myth's to the people of Earth. Thus, if she takes the form of say a griffen, she can actually use the wings to fly. Beyond that, she can heal herself and minor injuries of others and she can use energy manipulation that goes along with things she learned on her home planet (which will be explained below.)
Background: Danai, born on the planet Lykar, was raised in a royal household as a Princess, however as she grew to understand what this position entailed, she often rebelled and did whatever she could to get people to see that she was not interested in taking the throne. On her planet, women were of higher station then men, yet oddly enough, she herself was not affected by this differential and saw everyone as equals.
When she reached marrying age, her parents decided that she needed to travel off-world and find a mate among another planetary people, thus at a time she found herself on Antar where in a different form, she had met Larek before Khivar's rule. Though she didn't stay long, she felt that Antar would make a good planetary alliance and returned home to spread the news. A scouting mission from Lykar returned with news of war on Antar and this saddened her.
Unable to get her people to agree to help, she was going to join the war herself, whatever side Larek was on. However, before she could leave her world again, her parents married her off. Her husband was cruel and things beyond her control began to take root.
However, her husbands death freed her and thus unsettled or held back by anything, she once again gained access to a ship and left home. The ships speed brought her to Earth as she simply wanted to start somewhere new. Landing with ease, she had instantly found herself in the midst of a war and without knowing who was good or bad, she had simply reacted when she came across a brunette being attacked. Without thinking, she had attacked what she later learned had been a Skin.
It was then that Raven had inducted her into the resistance, unaware that she was not human. Danai often went on missions that took her hundreds of miles away from headquarters and would be gone for weeks on end.
It was during one such mission that she returned to learn that people from Antar had entered HQ. On Earth, Danai had chosen to go by the name Viper rather then her true name and none knew that she was not from this planet.
During her years at home, she had been trained in the arts of sorcery and herbalism. Most of the things she learned and used regularly were elemental manipulation spells.

Name: Raine Harper
Age: 20
Position: Head of Computer Intelligence with the Resistance

Raine is a human who was turned to the Resistance's side by Liz. Her parents were taken by the skins and now fight for them (she thinks that they are dead). She and her brother were left behind. Liz took them in. Raine looks up to Liz and sort of admires her. Raine is sort of quiet. Raine is very hostile about her parents being "killed" and has a deep hatred of the skins. Any mention gets her upset. Raine is a soldier for the Resistance.

Name: Reed Harper
Age: 16
Position:Training to be soldier for the Human Resistance

Cole is Raine's brother. He wants nothing more than to fight for the Resistance. He can't wait until he is old enough to repay the skins for taking his parents lives.

Name: Alexa Astra
Age: looks 24
Position: Head Of Resistance Headquarters
Background: Alexa is a rebel of the Skins, who use to be one of the Skins leaders serving right by Nicholas side. She used have a very close companionship with Nicholas, and a close friendship with Kavar. Alexa never agreed with her fellow skins tactics on taking over earth. Alexa never thought she would be able to get out from under Nicholas's clutch by herself, but then the resistance came along. Alexa catches Kyle one day stealing weapons from the skins. Kyle prepares himself to fight, but is surprised when instead Alexa purposes a deal. Alexa wants out and she wants his help. Kyle doesn’t trust her at all at first, but Alexa begins to let Kyle in every time to steal.......and she gives Kyle’s information every time so that the resistance stays one step ahead of the skins. Finally Liz agrees to let Alexa join if she can past her test.........which meant making it in the door to headquarters...Since Ava had made it so no one which was to due harm to them could get through. Alexa makes it in. With Kyle’s prompting, Liz finally makes Alex in charge of headquarters. Liz figures that Alexa would be best for this position because she knows more about the skins and Nicholas than anyone else........due to her relationship with Nicholas. Though the feelings she once had for Nicholas still haunt her she holds strong for the Resistance and knows much about the Royal Four.

Alexa is highly trained and powerful, so defending herself has never been a problem. Though she was a loyal leader for the Skins, she herself is not a skin. She took care of all of the business end of things for Nicholas, so running the headquarters is quite easy for her. But, though she may have took care of business she fought when necessary. Alexa has run ins with Nicholas all the time, though he is pissed at what she’s done they are both still drawn to each other......and Nicholas enjoys the competition.

Name: Halyn Morgan
Age: Looks around 23
Position:Lieutenant of the Human Resistance Group
Background:Halyn used to be a soldier that Nicholas favoured, above most others. But after the havoc that Nicholas created on Earth, Halyn moved to seek peace. But with the Skins still running around Earth, he could never truly be free of his kind’s evils.
Knowing of the rebellion in Roswell, NM, he made that his location to head. But he was mistaken for a Skin still trying to stop them. He was injured and it took a lot to convince them that he was no longer working to end the human population.
He joined the bottom rung, but with hard work, he made his way slowly upward, before becoming one of the lieutenants, working frequently with Kyle in his search for enemy weapons.

The Antarians

Name: Max Evans
Age: 24
Background: Max of course is the king of Antar. And after many years his planet is finally been set up in what can now be called a successfully running fashion. However he has not been able to get over the fact that Tess’s betrayal cost Alex his life. And more so than that he can not live with the fact that Liz and the others will never know why Alex died. Also Max is still deeply in love with Liz, and although he knows that she will probably never be able to forgive him for what happened seven years ago he can not let go of the way that he feels about her.
When Max finds out about the war on earth he feels even guiltier than he did before, knowing that it is because of him that the Skins ever even came to earth. Max wants to join the resistance and help defend earth from the skins, only Antar does not want to get involved with the war. Max is angry because he knows that if it had not been for Antar in the first place then the skins would have never come to earth. But the new government of Antar does not give Max the power to have Antar join the war. However, Max does still have some power as king, and a few subjects that are loyal to him have agreed to secretly help earth in the war.

Name: Isabel Evans
Age:24
Background: Although Isabel went through the motions of her responsibilities, no one has ever touched her in the way Alex did. Thought cold and unapproachable by her subjects, Isabel is lonely, but deathly afraid to reach out to anyone because of what might happen to them. she is currently going through the motions, hoping to find something or someone that might touch her heart. She's so unaware of life around her that she has completely missed Larek's feelings for her. She is unprepared for the chaos she is faced with on earth- both in terms of the war and the emotional battles to come.

Name: Michael Guerin

Position: Max's Second In Command

Name: Larek
Age: Unknown
Position: Former leader of Lexion
Larek and his family long served as the governing body of Lexion. Lexion is the second planet in the star system and the neighboring planet of Antar. Zan and Larek have long been good friends. It was Larek who gathered his forces against Kivar when Zan and the rest of the Royal Family of Antar were killed. Larek ultimately killed Kivar, but not before losing his entire family to the Skin Army. As an act of revenge, the Skin Army polluted Lexion to such and extent that it was left uninhabitable. When Larek received word that Zan and the others had returned to Antar, Larek rejoined his friend and together they rebuilt both planets and restructured their governments in a similar manner. Larek has long admired Isabel from a far and when Zan decided to return to Earth, Larek vowed to return with him.

Name:Stryder Kim bra
Age: 312 (earth years: 26)
Background: Stryder is a Lieutenant in the Antarian Army. He hates the skins because during the time of war on Antar his entire family was killed by them. Because of his deep hatred for the skins he goes against the counsel and assembles a small army of men to come and help the resistance.

Name: Nicolas
Age: looks 20
Position: King of the Skins
Nicolas hasn't changed much since his last run in with the Royals. He did however get an older husk so he no longer looks like a child. After he found out that Khivar had been killed and Max had taken the throne he left Antar with his people (and a unlucky Antarians that got the pleasure of being the Skin's slaves). He then set his sights on Earth and quickly overtook it. He now resides in the old White House that he claimed as his castle.
His plans of dominating Earth were going smoothly until he started getting reports of a Resistance that started in Roswell, NM. Is this just a weird coquencidence? Nicolas has spies everywhere but the only reports on the Resistance's fearless Leader have been that she is a woman. Nicolas thinks if he can get his hands on the leader the humans will lose hope and stop fighting.

Name: Aurora
Age: looks 19
Position: Bounty Hunter
Background:Aurora was born on her home planet of Lexion. At age 3 her planet was destroyed and Nicolas took her. From an early age Nicolas had her trained with weapons. She quickly became a master swords man. Nicolas clearly seeing her talents as a hunter had her trained fluently in languages, weaponry and the art of seduction. On path of a bounty hunter Aurora quickly became known for never Loxyanissa15 (9:59:42 PM): missing her target. She does her job well and enjoys the payment in which she receives. She refers to Nicolas as her uncle. She assumes her real parents are dead and focuses on the future rather than her past. Aurora's qualities make her very deadly and her connection to Nicolas makes her very powerful.
Powers-Aurora has the ability to manipulate time. She also has the ability to teleport. (It looks as if she just fades into the air)

I'm still interested in keeping Maria and my OC Danai... plus if you need, I'd take Larek whom I'd started temping (unless of course emmy's taking Maria back!! which I'd love to see):D

Hey Athenea, sorry I disappeared for a minute, but I'm back. I'm up for taking on Maria again if everyone is cool with it.

Also, CandyDreamQueen who played Max created the character of Stryder. Not sure if she meant for him to be a secondary character or a major one. We could try contacting her to see if she's still interested in playing.

Storm, you can continue on with Larek if you'd like, you seemed to give him a better voice than I could.

ETA: Athenea, are we continuing from where we left off or do you want to begin anew? I'm thinking, since its been a while, a clean fresh start might work better. Lord knows I can hardly remember what all has happend since the last time we posted. Just wondering.
