The school for the arts only takes in the best of the best. Each year thousands of applicants apply. The school gets students to specialise in one of the three disciplines aka, Music, Dance and Acting. However they do accept students who are reasonable at all three.

Characters are generally like the show in personality unless otherwise stated.


The teachers:
Jim Valenti – Professor of Music
Jim (imagine a lot better musician the show but like Valenti in his quirkiness). He is a very good musician, and can play almost anything put in front of him on most instruments. Some would say he looks at Amy whenever she isn’t looking at him.


Amy DeLuca – Professor of Acting
Amy (very very quirk and a little nuts!) is the eccentric acting teacher. It is a known fact that musicans and actors don’t get a long. Whenever there is a musical, Jim and Amy can not get along. It’s a shame she finds him attractive…


Nancy Parker – Professor of Dance
Nancy is the most serious teacher. But she is also the one students turn to when they have a problem. She’s almost like a mother to the students.


(Philip Kent - Homeroom
Philip doesn’t really do much in this rpg so I will play him when he’s needed. But basically the “homeroom” is where the students supposedly learn everything non arts in the afternoons. In reality it’s more where the kids gossip and do very little!)



The Students


Max Evans – Music Major
Max plays lower strings (Cello, Double Bass and Bass Guitar although that’s more in his spare time). Max is the studious, intelligent, quiet loner (very much like the show.) Friend of Michael. Gets on reasonably with his sister, but generally only in small doses.


Liz Parker – Dancing Major
Liz is the daughter of Nancy, and there was a lot of trouble with Liz getting in. Although she got in on talent, there are rumours flying around everywhere that she got in purely because of her mother. To make things fair they even brought in Jim and Amy to watch Liz dance to make it fair (even though they didn’t have a clue!)
Liz is friendly. She is generally quiet but has a good time when she wants to. She is best friends with Maria and Alex. Liz is particularly good at ballet.


Maria DeLuca – Music Major
Maria is a singer. Although she is the daughter of Amy, as Jim had the decision to let her in there was no controversy. Maria is quirky and fun. Best friends with Liz and Alex


Michael Guerin – Music Major
Michael is a drummer. He does other percussion, but only because he was told he had to, to get in. The fact is, Michael REALLY wasn’t interested in going to the school. It was just that, he was told by his social worker that he could be emanicipated and go to the school for free if he went to this school on a scholarship. Somehow, he managed to pull it off. But he doesn’t plan on doing much, if any work. Only real friend is Max, but even he doesn’t really know him.


Isabel – Acting Major
Isabel is a natural actor. She acts in her everyday life. She acts to many people and never usually shows her true self. (Think Season 1 Isabel.) She wasn’t thrilled about the idea of going to school with her brother, but she didn’t want to be too far away too.


Alex – Dancing Major
Alex is in the school for two reasons. They are called Liz and Maria. He auditioned at all three arts, but Acting rejected him, and music said that he couldn’t get in on just guitar, which he is only an average player at. Fortunately however, he did get in dancing. He’s not brilliant, but he can learn easily.


Tess – All 3 arts
Tess does a little bit of everything. She can sing reasonably, dance reasonably, and she can act. She wants to be in a musical one day. She is friends with Isabel. Shes more approachable that she in the show, and is a bit of wild card. She is often very unpredictable


Kyle – Acting Major
Kyle Valenti is NOT Jim’s son. Kyle is Jim’s dead brother’s step son. They don’t share blood, and have never met. They don’t even know they’re ‘related’. Kyle is the odd man out. He has come from another state to come to the school and therefore knows no-one.
Kyle is the joker of the pack. He is loud and proud, and takes criticism with a pinch of salt. Its a shame most of his loudness is a front to hide the real Kyle




When this rpg starts, it will be the first day of school.
A reminder that in the mornings is the major classes (I’ll leave it up to Tess Player to decide which classes to go to) and then the homeroom. All the playable students go to Philip’s homeroom, although there are other ones.

The students sleep on campus. The teachers have there own wing where they have a lounge and nice bedrooms.
The students have two sets of bedrooms, male and female. There is a strict rule at the school that boys cant go in the girls and vice versa… but its rare that people ever get caught… doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen…if you get my meaning

1) Long posts (at least two paragraphs) with expression. I know I always say that and never inforce but I really would like to see it in this one
2) I'd like bios as samples (but pics are not necessary). Basically Im looking for a connection with the character, so go as indepth as you want (looking for a minimum of 2/3 paragraphs). If you want to audition for a part someone else has said they want to play but I havent confirmed them yet feel free to send me a sample too and ill decide.
3) No rushing! No drastic changes to the story line unless you've contacted me and other players involved.
4) If you aren't going to be a round for a while, please say so I can arrange a temp. If we don't here for you for a while and you don't tell me I will recast.

Bios

Max - by MadRoswellFan - 17
Max is one of those people who always the answer but doesnt volunteer. He is very intelligent, and absolutely loves playing his cello. Its his true way of expressing himself. When he plays, its always passionate and people often compliment him on it. But he never really believes it. When he plays to people he often clams up.

Max was never that close to his family. He was usually in his room at home. He was the closest to his sister, but even that wasn't much. He never really hanged out with anyone besides Michael.

Max loves learning and playing music. He wishes he could continue learning and playing for a career... its just that he can't play infront of people. He was so nervous throughout his audition. Fortunitely Jim ordered everyone else out of the room and Max managed to just get through it. The only time he can play with other people around is when he plays Double Bass in orchestras. But he always plays so quietly you can't hear him. He plays bass guitar too, but he believes he's too bad to ever admit that to anyone. (He's not that bad, hes just better on Cello.)

In his dreams, he dreams about having a girl that he could be romantic with. He is a true romantic... but he's scared of rejection.
If you were to sum up in 5 words, they would be:

Maria Deluca - 17 - by aliensister
When Maria was four her father, the famous lead singer of "Dangerous Liasons" pulled Maria out onto the stage with him, to sing and though she only sang a couple of words Maria knew then and there that this is what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. The heat from the stage lights, the way you could feel the music pound through your feet up through the floor, the sounds of people screaming your name and singing your lyrics, the memory of it still warmed Maria's insides when she thought about her dad, who only two years after taking her on stage passed away in a car accident while on tour.

Amy had said something to Maria when he died that while it wasn't any consolation it had made Maria feel a little better, He had died doing something he loved. Maria's relationship with her mom was really strong, they were each other's only family but more then that they were like best friends, Amy was where Maria got most of wacky feminist ideals.

Maria has a very excitable nature, she loves to party, mostly because of the music though. She is a bit like her mom, out there and quirky. Maria doesn't get very good grades at school but that's because she's usually to busy thinking about music, only three things mean anything to Maria, Her mom, her friends and Music and not nessacarily in that order.


Alex - by Luvya

Alex is one of those people who will go the extra mile for the people he cares about. Liz and Maria being those people. He couldn't stand the thought of not being where his two best friends wheren't.

When he was told that he couldn't be in the Music programme he cried (not in front of Maria and Liz) he had thought that it was his only way in to the School. However he then decided to go through the acting programme and again he was shot down.

After that he thought about the Dancing programme and finally decided that 'good things come in threes' he peformed a Waltz in front of Nancy which was peformed so realisticly that even he imagined that there was someone with him. Nancy let him in and he jumped for joy and hugged her automatically, blushing seconds later.

His older brothers tease him for his choice but Alex's friends come first and will always.

Liz Parker-17

Liz Parker’s dream has always been to dance. At the age of 3 her mother, Nancy, had taken her to see The Nutcracker and let’s just say Liz has been dancing ever since. Ballet is her love and passion. She is one of the most studious among her classmates and takes her art very seriously. To her dancing allows her to express the feelings that so desperately want to escape her; that she is unable to express through words. Through dance she can be herself.

Liz has always been a very reserved person. She is quiet and most people can never get to close to her because she tends to shy away from strangers. Her father died when she was four of cancer and her mother has never got over loosing him. Nancy has always been very overprotective with Liz, terrified to loose the only thing she has left of Jeff Parker. Nancy is very selective of Liz’s activities outside of her studies and of course her dancing career.

Due to the strict regimen that her mother enforces, she has little time for anything else but lately Liz is finding it harder to not feel a bit closterphobic. She is beginning to dream of romance and a life outside of just dance. With the help of her two best friends Alex and Maria, Liz is hoping that this year will bring on a new chapter in her life, and maybe with it a new adventure to break her out of her shell.
