Title: Moonlight Liz
Author: vampyrolover86
Disclaimer: I do not own Roswell or Moonlight, unfortunately. :(
Category: Crossover Roswell/Moonlight Liz/Josef
Rating: Mature (changed for later chapters)
Feedback: Yes Please. This is my first story. It's been stuck in me head for the longest time. Let me know what you think.

Summary: Liz is looking for a new job, but instead finds an OLD relationship. Both return to Roswell to exact revenge on unsuspecting culprits. Josef never knew Sarah in this story.

Liz walked into the office building and knew something was off. The place reeked of danger. People were staring at her as if she was a deer walking into a wolf pack. She did not realize it was true.

She stepped up to the receptionist telling herself she just spent too much time with Michael. His paranoia has rubbed off on me.

"Excuse me."

"May I help you?" the receptionist asked with a look of confusion.

"I'm here to see Josef Kostan."

"You're not one of his usuals."

"I don't know what you mean. I'm here for the secretary job. I called yesterday and set up an appointment. The name is Elizabeth Parker."

"One moment please."

While she was on the phone to confirm the meeting, Liz had a chance to observe the receptionist. She had on a gray business suit with a mauve silk shirt.

"You may go up now. It's the top floor, and if you need anything please let me know. My name is Serena," she said with a sweet calming smile. "It will be alright."

"Thank you," Liz replied gratefully.

She made her way over to an empty metal coffin, as she liked to refer to them. She couldn't stand being in a confined room going up and down with only some cables holding it up. I hope nobody else gets on. These people are weirder than the Roswellians.

Liz was lucky, not a single person showed their face on the elevator. She stepped out and was met by a scrutinizing gaze of an elderly woman.

"This way. Mr. Kostan will be right with you," she was informed as they entered a waiting area.

"Thank you."

"Hmm."

Well fine then, Liz thought as the woman left.

"You must be Miss Parker," a husky voice said from the doorway.

Liz turned as she heard the familiar voice. Josef Konstantin.

*****

Josef smelled her the moment she stepped off the elevator. Her intoxicating scent seemed even sweeter than the last time he had caught it. He had to have more. He inhaled and decided he waited long enough. He made his way out of his door with vampire speed.

"You must be Miss Parker." You're still as beautiful as ever.

Josef Konstantin. He heard her whisper through his mind. It had been such a long time since he felt the trembling connection flow to life. Once the connection was made all of her secrets poured out of her and into him, letting him know exactly what she had been up too.

*****

Liz became aware of a low growl coming from Josef, and she was reminded of the connection they shared long before she knew there was life on other planets.

"Josef calm down. There's no reason getting territorial. Nothing happened." Now I know why they thought I was food in the lobby. They didn't realize I was a vampire as well.

"Nothing happened?!" Josef grabbed my arm and dragged me into his office, slamming the door in the process. "You were shot in the middle of the day! You were bleeding out! As much as I hate Max Evans' existence in your life, I'm glad he was there, or you would have died."

"I love you too," Liz confessed.

"Do you really? You left me for twenty years, changed your appearance in order to grow up as a child again, and were almost killed before I could find you. I've been looking for you everywhere. How do you think I felt? Waking up at dusk with nothing but a cold space next to me. I didn't understand until one night two men came looking for you, and I remembered you told me you would protect me, no matter what, the night you turned me. I would have gone with you. I wanted to go with you."

"And I couldn't let you. Mick needed you, Love, especially after what Coralline did. Then he had the obsession with following the child, Beth. I couldn't put you in more danger. My heart couldn't take it. I can only hope you will forgive me one day, and if you'll let me, I'll make it up to you every second I am still able to."

Josef didn't know what to say. All he could do was open his arms and allow her to walk into them.

"I take it what I saw in your head was the death of those men looking for you?" Liz just nodded taking all the comfort she could from the loving arms surrounding and protecting her.

"I love you, Elizabeth. I always have. Will you stick around for eternity?" he asked looking down at the woman he had loved for 400 years.

"Yes, from now until the end. I promise if there are any more problems we will handle it together." Liz said as she stood on her toes to receive a much needed kiss after 20 years of being devoid of them. "So does this mean I get the job?"

"Huh?"

"I came here for the secretary job."

"Oh, does that mean I actually get the chance to have an affair with my secretary?" Josef laughed. "I always wanted to try that. By the way, why do you smell human?"

"I can only figure it has to do with the alien you are so jealous of," she teased.

"I'll just have to have a little sample later then," he bent down to taste her lips again, excited for once about the night ahead.

I'll make sure you are not lonely anymore, Liz whispered seductively into his mind, into his heart, and into his soul.

There it is. Let me know what you think.

Part 2

~A month later~

Liz was slumbering on the couch in Josef's office after studying for five hours straight. She had just started taking classes at the local college a week ago, and she was pushing herself to the point of exhaustion. If it wasn't for Josef she probably would have dropped from over-exertion.

Liz and Josef realized a couple of weeks ago Josef could feed off of Liz. She didn't need to feed thanks to Max "healing her." He really screwed with her vampire body, causing abnormalities. She produced twice the normal blood needed in a human body; therefore Josef was taking care of the extra blood and no longer needed to call in freshies. It was a good thing too; Liz found she had a jealous streak when it came to Josef feeding off of other women.

*****

Josef cursed as he heard Liz's cell phone ringing, waking her from her much needed rest.

"Hello," she said huskily into the phone.

"They did what?!" she yelled and sat up from her previous position. "Shit!... Sorry, I know you don't like it when I cuss, but I think this is appropriate... No, he's right here. I'll tell him... Yeah, we're good... Alright I will... Love you too. Thanks for calling and telling me... Bye."

Liz sighed as she closed her phone and laid back down feeling dejected, disappointed, and furious. Never a good combination for her. It was usually followed by a massacre.

What's wrong, Love? Josef asked making his way over to the couch to cradle her head in his lap.

Liz was too tired to answer him so she opened her mind.

He was bombarded by her feelings toward the situation and finally the conversation with her "parents," Jeff and Nancy Parker.

*****

"Hello," Liz said huskily into the phone.

"Honey, it's Jeff. They broke into your room."

"They did what?!"

"Max, Isabel, and Maria broke into your room. I don't think they believed you graduated early to attend Harvard. I wouldn't have know it was them if I hadn't of smelled them."

"Shit!"

"Liz..."

"Sorry, I know you don't like it when I cuss, but I think this is appropriate."

"Do you want me to call and tell Josef?"

"No, he's right here. I'll tell him."

"You guys are doing good, right?"

"Yeah, we're good."

"Let him know Nancy and I are coming up next weekend."

"Alright I will."

"Love you, Liz"

"Love you too. Thanks for calling and telling me."

"Any time, Sweetie. Bye."

"Bye."

*****

Screw dejected and disappointed, Josef was plain furious. Her "friends" had no right not to believe Liz. She had done everything in her power to help them, and what do they do; they betray her.

Thank God Michael and Kyle didn't. Josef didn't know what Liz would do if they had been with the others, considering they knew everything. Michael had found out from reading her journal, and Kyle had walked in on Liz teaching Jeff control after being turned.

Thanks for reading my story everybody and especially to the following people for motivating me. :P

Maiqu - you'll find out about Jeff and Nancy soon...if not in this part. ;)
Ansleyrocks - I love Michael and Kyle too...they're Liz's older brothers to me.
KiaraAlexisKlay - Max, Isabel, and Maria are going to get theirs. I'm working on a plan ;) btw love the nickname...my names too long
garcia88 - I just have to say you made my day when you said "I think that its my new fav!!!!!!!!"

Thanks again guys...here's the new part.

Part 3

"Josef?" Liz whispered.

"Yeah, Love?"

"You know we can't kill them."

"Why not? It would make both of us feel better. A little massacre like old times."

"Because they were my friends."

Josef raised his eyebrows saying without words how he didn't think it was such a bad idea.

You look so cute when you want to kill somebody, Liz teased.

I have an idea. How about scaring them to death?

You really think that will work?

We can try. We'll need Beth's help, and of course where Beth is we'll find Mick, the look Liz had on her face would have scared Josef had it been directed at him. Josef, do you know a good loyal lawyer?

*****

Simone walked up to Josef's secretary and was shocked to see Serena there.

"Serena, what are you doing up here? Were you promoted?"

"Yeah. I owe it to Liz. She told Josef I would be excellent at the job when she decided to go to college," Serena explained.

"Who's Liz? I don't think I've ever met her," Simone said mentally reviewing her memories. She couldn't remember Josef ever mentioning a Liz.

"Oh, sorry. I thought you had heard of her. Her name's Elizabeth Parker; Liz for short. She can in at the beginning of the month for the secretary job, and just last week decided to go to college instead. For some reason she has some pull over Josef, but I'm not complaining, she's a sweetheart."

"That can't be. Nobody has control of Josef."

"I don't know; she just does," Serena observed.

The two were knocked out of their gossip fest when Mick and Beth walked up.

"You know they wouldn't be too happy you talking about them behind their backs," Beth warned. She had become close to Liz and closer with Josef since Liz had come to town. She loved them both dearly.

Liz was actually the one to explain how to be a vampire. It put her more at ease. In face Beth had been asking Mick to bite her just to see what it felt like. After seeing Liz and Josef together she wanted to spend eternity with Mick, but Liz asked her to hold off asking to be turned until she had time to talk to Liz's father since he had been recently turned.

"Come on," Mick said to Beth and Simone. "Josef's expecting us."

*****

They walked in to see Josef stroking Liz's sleeping head.

"You have really bad timing. I just got her back to sleep," Josef said to Mick, too low for human ears.

"Hey, you're the one to call us," Mick said just as low.

"You know, you two aren't as quiet as you think," Liz teased without opening her eyes.

How long have you been awake? Josef whispered huskily through their link.

"I wasn't asleep. I just loved the attention you were lavishing on me."

"I spoil you too much."

"Yeah, but that won't stop you," Liz stood up to introduce herself to the one person unfamiliar to her.

"Hi, I'm Liz," she said sticking out her hand to shake.

"I'm Simone," the lawyer introduced feeling jealous of the attention Josef was giving Liz.

"Now that everybody knows everybody else. What's this plan of yours, Liz?" Beth asked walking over to embrace her friend.

She hesitated at seeing the look on Liz's face. It was pure evil. But Liz opened her arms inviting Beth into the hug.

"Oh, you'll see," Liz promised.

Hope you guys liked the new installation.

I went ahead and posted a new part because I'm not sure if I'll be able to for a couple of days. Hope you guys enjoy.

~Ansleyrocks - you'll just have to wait and see about the Jeff. ;)
~garcia88 - I love Mick and Beth too. I'm really glad Mick fought for her in the last episode.
~Maiqu - Jeff was turned a couple of months before Liz met up with Josef again.
~KiaraAlexisKlay - I love Josef being old world gentlemanly. ;) Liz and Josef are vampire-mates which goes deeper than any other relationship. Mick did know about Liz and they had brother/sister feelings toward each other. Beth took to Liz because she trusts in Mick's instincts in this story. I hope I can change your mind about Simone in this part. Thanks for the review K and I hope I answered all of your questions.
~PeytonLeigh - I'm hoping I can change your mind about Simone too. I didn't actually put on age on Liz, but she sired Josef, so she's pretty old.

Thank you guys for reviewing and I hope you like the next part.

Part 4

"It's not going to work," Simone said skeptically.

"You just don't know how paranoid they are. It will work," Josef disagreed showing his support for Liz.

"I'll give Jeff and Nancy a call and let them know we'll be coming to see them instead," Liz let the others know. She made her way over to Josef's desk and sat in his chair to phone the Parkers.

"Beth and I need to get going. We're late for our date," Mick stated.

"We'll meet you at the airport tomorrow night," Beth waved bye to Liz.

"Bye you two. Don't do anything I wouldn't do," Liz commented back.

"There's nothing you wouldn't do."

"Too true, Beth. Too true."

The two lovebirds walked out of the office in anticipation of the night's events to come. Beth finally talked Mick into feeding from her so she'll know what it feels like, but only on Mick's condition of making her supper first. Needless to say Beth could not wait.

*****

"Simone," Josef motioned toward the couch. "We must talk."

Simone walked over and sat where the vampire told her.

"You once told me, you might not be adverse to being turned. After much though and consideration, I have decided I am not able to turn you. There is a link between sire and childe; one I am not ready to be to a female," Josef began.

Liz got off the phone and joined Josef. They understood and will be ready to accommodate guests. "However, after all of this is over, if you still wish it, I will turn you," Liz said to Simone noticing her face turning red from embarrassment and fear.

"What?...I didn't know you were a vampire," Simone stuttered. "I'm sorry for the way I reacted earlier. I never should have displayed such emotions."

"Trust me, it's understandable," Liz brushed off the earlier hostility. "Who wouldn't fall for this lovable face. But a few things need to be explained, things from my past. Mick and Beth already know, and since Josef trusts you, so do I. I'm hoping we can become closer with you knowing my past.

"I am the one who turned Josef. He made me so happy and content. I gave him the choice to either be turned and spend eternity with me, or we would live a lifetime together and when he died so would I. He just ensnared me with his charisma. You can see which one he chose.

"My family was so cruel toward me, locking me in the basement, abusing me whenever they wanted; half the time I just wanted to die. The only thing that saved them after I was turned was my sister's son, my nephew, who knew about my vampire status.

"The one night I was about to lose control, he came up to me and asked for the life of his family. At the age of nine, he learned of their cruelties, and yet he wanted them spared. So I did, for him.

"He married at the age of 16 and moved out of his...our family's house with his new bride. He could not stand keeping my secret from her, so he asked if he could share it with her. I agreed, and it was the second best thing I ever did. They both loved me, and throughout the ages Josef and I have been keeping an eye on their lineage.

"Then twenty years ago, I was being hunted for my sire's death. I think they were four centuries too late. When I sired Josef, my sire was furious because I mated with Josef instead of him; so in order to save Josef, I killed my sire. No more worries, or so I though until the hunters came. So I ran until I could take care of the problem. They were more suspicious of Josef than me, but when I ran that proved my guilt to them. I went to my nephew's family to lead them away, and with the help of my friend Michael we were able to make them disappear."

Thank you to all of those who have replied and are still reading. You guys are wonderful. I decided since Part 5 is so short, I went ahead and posted Part 6 as well. Read and review please.

Part 5

"After that, it was quiet until Jeff came to me wanting to be turned. Nancy wanted to as well, but we were all in agreement to wait until Jeff had the strength to turn her.

"They knew about me from the beginning; it seemed my past was being kept alive through bedtime stories and fantasies, especially the connection between Josef and myself. Jeff and Nancy loved each other so much, they wanted that connection as well. Not to mention they loved me as their own daughter and didn't want to lose me even through their deaths. They were not able to have children; I was their last family member after Grandma Claudia died. So I gave them a daughter, myself, and they gave me sanctuary.

"It was hilarious to see Jeff give Josef the "father/son-in-law" speech. I was in tears from laughing so hard. Can you imagine my forty year old father telling my four hundred year old lover "hurt her and I'll kill you," Liz said fondly reminiscing over the memory.

"Now that you know Liz's story, or at least part of it. You have a choice. If you choose for Liz to turn you, you will have her childe and most likely her sister, as well as mine. Nothing more and nothing less than that," Josef explained making sure Simone knew he was taken and didn't plan on changing anytime soon.

"You don't have to answer right away. You have plenty of time to think about your decision. We just wanted to give you the choice."

"I just have one question. Why me?" Simone asked.

"Well, minus the territorial/jealousy moment at first, I felt a connection to you...a sisterly connection. And from what Josef has told me, he felt the same."

Simone stood up, "Thank you both for trusting me, but I need time to digest this information. I'll see you both tomorrow night. I can't wait to meet your parents, Liz," Simone said as she left.

"I think she really liked you, Josef."

Too bad. There's only one woman for me, Josef said grabbing onto Liz, and she's right here in my arms.

Josef, Liz caught his eyes in an entrancing stare, and pulled her hair away from her neck. You look famished.

Seeing her bare neck and hearing her whisper huskily to him, Josef couldn't control himself. He caught her in a passionate kiss silently promising her a night of feeding and love making.

Part 6

~The next night~

The plane arrived at Albuquerque quicker than Liz anticipated, but she had been asleep most of the time. She did not have the stress of having a report due or a test to study for; not to mention Josef was a very comfortable pillow.

I heard that, Love, but I would be your pillow anytime if it relaxed you like that, Josef said kissing her forehead. You've been more stressed than I've ever seen you, but you know, killing relieves stress too.

Josef, we can't exactly kill anything on this trip. It would put even more suspicion on us than we are already going to have.

Yeah, but once we get back home, you have a whole city to choose from. With no suspicion because of the Cleaner.

I love you. You think of everything. And did I ever tell you how much I love private jets? she hummed. No noisy passengers, and no waiting for the luggage in long lines.

I love you too, Josef told her, pulling her flush against his body.

"Alright you two! None of that. Don't make me get ice water and pour on you," Mick threatened.

"Oh baby. Don't tease me like that. All of that cold just running down my body, exciting it," Liz teased Mick and laughed when she saw a disgusted look come across his face. Neither of them noticed the desire flash in Josef's eyes.

They made their way to the limo waiting just outside the airport since Josef decided it would be fashionable to arrive in style, even if nobody would notice at night. It was agreed with Jeff and Nancy that the group would meet after closing, and begin the plan tomorrow.

*****

The limo arrived at the Crashdown Cafe exactly at 3 a.m. Josef, you and your planning. How on Earth do you always arrive on time?

One of my many mysteries, Love.

They didn't make it through the door good when Josef and Liz was attacked by Jeff and Nancy, both pulling them into hugs.

"Um. Parentals, we may not need to breathe, but this is a little uncomfortable," Liz told them.

Once Liz and Josef were released and introductions were made, Nancy grabbed all three women (Simone, Beth, and Liz) and dragged them upstairs for a girls' night in, which included plenty of ice cream and gossip.

*****

At day break, Josef climbed the stairs, since the men decided it was a good idea to stay away from them in this situation, and relieved Liz from Nancy only to carry her into her room where a double wide freezer had been placed in her bathroom away from prying eyes.

Josef, Liz sighed and snuggled into his neck.

He placed her feet on the ground and proceed in undressing her for bedtime. Once he was finished, he placed her gently into the freezer and unclothed himself before lying in the freezer as well. He cradled her body against his as he closed out the rising sun.

*****

For once in their long life together, Josef awoke before Liz and watched her sleeping in his arms. I never want to live without you in my arms again.

And I promised you, you would never have to, she reminded him and gave him a passionate kiss, pouring all her love into it. Is it time to make an appearance?

Not without a little substance to get me motivated, he said leering at her.

I'm all yours, Josef, she guided his head to the vein above her heart where the bite could be easily hidden and still be significant to both.

Josef could hear her moans as he took her essence and gave his love.

Josef, make love to me.

He was unable to answer verbally even through their connection. So he did the only thing he could think of. He carried her to the bed and showed her how much she meant to him.

Part 7

Liz was walking down the stairs from the apartment with Josef when she remembered she had yet to tell Michael and Kyle about their plan. "Shit! I can't believe I forgot them."

Josef could not answer; he was laughing too hard.

"Josef, it's not funny. Beth would be dead within twenty-four hours if Michael catches wind of someone snooping. He's very protective regarding that, even after what the others did. Okay, I'll be right back. It shouldn't take me long. Will you wait at the counter for me?" Liz asked bounding back up the stairs, not waiting for an answer.

You're lucky I love you, he glared up at her retreating back. Liz just laughed, knowing he was just teasing her.

*****

Josef could feel eyes on him as he came from the back and sat at the counter. Now I'm being paranoid, he though brushing off the feeling and starting a conversation with Jeff, not paying any attention to it. However, the feeling increased drastically when Liz walked up to him and kissed him.

Apparently Liz felt how uneasy he was and inhaled the air trying to discern if it could be anyone she knew. Relax Josef. It's Max. Which means our plan will commence with no complications. She just couldn't help leaning over and kissing him again, only this time making it more passionate.

"Liz? What do you think you are doing?" Max asked grabbing her wrist and dragging her to his side.

Liz was stopped from snapping at him when she heard Josef growl low enough for none of the customers to hear, even Max. Josef, calm down. He's not hurting me. Plus you can't kill him with all these witnesses, Liz reasoned.

Liz, he grabbed you away from me. That's one thing nobody does to another's mate, Josef growled again.

"Max, let me go! You have no right to touch me, let alone grab my wrist. And to what I'm doing...I was enjoying a kiss with my lover."

Max was so dumbfounded at Liz's openness he released her. Next she'll be telling me she drinks blood and sleeps during the day, preposterous. And her dad's behind the counter.

"Liz? What do you mean "lover;" what about us? I thought we were back together after Tess..."

Max didn't have time to continue. He was practically being carried out by the guy Liz had been kissing, with Jeff following close behind.

"I will tell you this only once Max, then you are fair game. Liz is mine! She always has been mine, so stay away from her or you will not like the consequences," Josef warned.

"Who do you think you are?! Claiming Liz like she's some kind of property."

"I am his, as he is mine," Liz affirmed. "Now leave."

Max decided to concede this battle and regroup. One against two was not working for him. He was pathetic; he didn't even count Liz into the equation. To him, she was no challenge, somebody of no threat. He was king after all, and nobody defied him. He needed to call a meeting tonight.

*****

"Hi, I'm Beth Turner for 'Buzzwire.' I was wondering if you would answer some question for me."

"Of course," a middle-aged woman replied.

"First off, could I get your name? I promise it will be off the record. It's just for my reference."

"My name's Natalie Hamilton."

"Mrs. Hamilton, were you in The Crashdown Cafe the day shots were fired?"

"Yes, my husband and I were having our twenty-fifth anniversary. There were two men arguing in the booth behind me."

"And what happened next?"

"There were two waitresses working that day, Maria Deluca and Liz Parker, the owner's daughter. Well, I don't know what exactly happened. But when I looked over the owner's daughter was on the floor with a boy leaning over her. Then all of a sudden him and another boy took out of here like they had hellhounds on their tails."

"Was Liz Parker alright?"

"Yeah, she stood right up looking like she was in shock. The poor dear. I bet she was scared to death."

"Thank you so much for your time Mrs. Hamilton."

"You're welcome," she said and walked to her car.

Well, they didn't cover their tracks very well. Who the hell runs from a scene unless they were guilty. Mick's going to love this.

Thank you all again for the great reviews. Please let me know if you liked the new part, and don't be shy if you didn't.

And now on to the new part...

Part 8

Across town Mick was doing his part for the plan. He slowly walked into the Sheriff's office.

"Sheriff Hanson, I'm Special Agent St. John with the FBI. I was hoping to ask you some questions about the Crashdown shooting."

"Yes sir. Please take a seat Agent St. John," Mick sat down as Hanson continued. "I have to say that was the craziest time Roswell has seen since the supposed '47 crash."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, supposedly, a waitress was shot and miraculously healed by one of her classmates. The Sheriff before me, Sheriff Jim Valenti, believed there was something suspicious about those kids..."

"I'm sorry. Those kids?"

"It started with Liz Parker, Max Evans, and Michael Guerin; but over the course of a couple of months Isabel Evans, Maria Deluca, and Alex Whitman were also involved."

"Involved in what?"

"Some kind of conspiracy. He never let anyone else in on it."

"And I take it they were the reason he lost his job."

"In a way I believe so."

"Okay, I believe that is all I need for now."

"Excuse me, Agent St. John. What exactly does this pertain to?"

"I'm sorry. That's confidential," Mick said shaking the Sheriff's hand before stepping out to meet Beth at a coffee shot down the street.

*****

"Beth Turner. What a surprise seeing you here. You're a long way from home," Mick said aware of the eyes of two women staring at him and Beth. "How does it feel working for the ADA?"

"Almost like working for "Buzzwire" only I don't have to get in front of a camera. I'm actually here doing some research for Buzzwire about a shooting that happened a couple of years ago."

"You wouldn't be talking about the Crashdown shooting, would you?"

"And if I said yes?"

"I would have to tell you to stay out of it. This is FBI business, not some reporter's."

It was a good thing Beth's back was turned away from the prying eyes because she was trying her hardest to keep a straight face.

"I guess it's bad I spoke with an eyewitness then."

"Who?" Mick inquired.

"I'm sorry Agent St. John, I told her I would only keep it for myself."

"I will find out, Ms. Turner. You are going to find yourself in a dangerous situation if you keep digging into this, and trust me, you don't want that."

"Save your threats for someone who actually believes them. I've known you long enough to know you wouldn't do anything to me," Beth laughed.

"I'm not talking about myself Ms. Turner. There are other people involved in this. People who would not hesitate to keep this low key."

*****

Jim Valenti was sitting at his kitchen table, musing over his previous phone call with Hanson. Apparently the Roswellians had a new threat in town by the name of St. John.

Hanson had filled Valenti in on the questions St John had asked. He wanted to know if the previous sheriff had any words of advice concerning the situation. The only advice Valenti could bestow was to be as cooperative as possible until more information was obtained about the agent's business in town.

Valenti was forced out of his thoughts by his ringing of his phone. Oh God, now what?

"Valenti."

"Valenti, it's Max. We're having an emergency meeting at your house tonight around 8." Valenti could not stand the audacity of Max Evans.

"Sure Max. No problem," the sarcasm was clearly evident. Sometimes I really wish I had shot him when I had the chance, he thought as he hung up.

*****

Simone walked into the Crashdown and was appalled by the decoration. It had been so dark inside the cafe in the early morning hours, she had been unable to take in the details of the place, but now she was just shocked at the extent people would take to make a buck. Oh come on. Like aliens actually exist. Even with this thought, she could not shake the feeling uneasiness. If vampires are real, why not the other mythical creatures?

She took a deep breath before making her way to Liz, who was talking amiably with a handsome brunette. What are you thinking Simone? He's way too young for me.

Oh well, might as well get this over with. No matter how polite and courteous Liz had been to her recently, she still disliked the other brunette and her position in Josef's life.

"Hey Liz. What do you need?" Simone asked as passively as she could, referring to the phone call she had received an hour earlier.

"Actually, Josef wanted to see you. I believe he's in Jeff's office," Liz said. "Kyle, I'll meet you up in my room. We'll be able to talk privately up there."

*****

Liz led Simone to Jeff's office and walked in, disturbing Josef and Jeff from their conversation. She made her way to Josef and gave him a kiss before heading back out.

"I'll be in my room," Liz called over her shoulder. I'm going to explain the plan to Kyle. Let me know when you're through with her.

Alright. Don't get into any trouble, Josef told Liz teasingly.

You know, she still doesn't like me, not rising to the bait.

If she doesn't, we'll take care of it, Love, he said clearly showing menace.

Aww, you're so romantic.

Thank you so much for the great reviews. You have no idea how much I appreciate them. Here's the next part, so please let me know what you think, especially if you end up laughing. ;)

Part 9

~Jeff's office~

"Have a seat, Simone. I wish to talk to you," Josef said, motioning toward the chair in front of the desk he was sitting behind. "I want you to draw up a restraining order against Max Evans, concerning Liz. I have had enough of him."

"Not a problem. I'll get it printed right up for you. Is there anything else I can do for you?"

"Yes," Jeff answered. "I need a will written for me. In case Nancy and I have to disappear, I want to leave all of our possessions with Michael Guerin."

"Okay, I'll take care of that and get back to you. You'll be able to read it over for consistency. Hmm, I have a question. Why not leave everything to Liz?"

"Because Liz will be with Josef; she won't have time to take care of the Crashdown or the apartment if she's in Los Angeles. Plus, Michael is as much my son as I would want. He has been here for us and here for Liz."

Simone was stunned into silence as she contemplated what had just been said. She had only heard a little about Michael before Jeff's speech, but now she wanted to meet him even more. She was curious about what the human had done to bestow such faith from a vampire.

"That will be all, Simone," Josef dismissed.

She was still so deep in thought she did not hear the stone-cold mood Josef was suddenly in.

*****

"What do you mean, Kyle?" Liz asked.

"I mean, Simone looks at you the same way Tess did. Just please be careful."

Liz was struck with the similarity of the situation, exactly as she felt rage come from Josef. She knew he was coming up the stairs, and then, a second later, he had Kyle by his neck a foot above the floor.

"How dare you compare me with Evans! I am nothing like him!"

"Josef, my love, he meant no harm. He was giving me advice about Simone, and concern toward her behavior. Please, let him go. He was just being a protective brother."

Josef let Kyle slide down the wall to sit on the floor, letting the rest of his tension slip from him as Liz reached her arms around him.

Kyle slowly stood up and gave his apology to Josef. "I didn't mean you were like Evans; I meant Simone is like Tess, only more conniving. Both of you need to watch yourselves when it comes to her. She's planning something."

"Thank you for your concern, Kyle," Josef shook his hand. "And here I was thinking you wouldn't approve of Liz's choice with me."

Kyle snorted. "Oh, please. She made her choice before I even meet her."

"You're correct, but she loves you. Your opinion matters to her, so it matters to me as well."

"Well, thank you, but I think I'm going to go now." Kyle said, feeling the growing physical tension in the atmosphere between Liz and Josef. "We're having a meeting at my house. Dad called me and told me Evans confiscated it for his own use."

Liz gave a little laugh, and it only got worse when Josef and Kyle looked at her like she was crazy. "I was thinking about Michael's reaction, if it was his apartment. Oh, I wish I could be there. That is going to be one funny meeting. Just try to keep a straight face, Kyle," Liz said, giving him her best mocking glare.

*****

The group was gathered around the living room of the Valenti house, waiting for the puppet-theatre to begin, or that's what was going through Michael and Kyle's heads. Max was guarding the front door, to make sure nobody escaped before he stated his mind.

"Alright, Max. What's this about?" Kyle said, impatiently.

"I saw something that seemed suspicious. I believe there are more aliens in town, and one of them has control of Liz's mind."

"And what brought you to this conclusion, Maxwell?" Michael asked, trying to hide his amusement.

"Because she kissed him, or to be more precise, she swallowed his tongue in front of her dad."

"Max, please, this is Liz you're talking about; it's more likely you were just hallucinating. Anyways, Isabel and I have something more important."

"I was not hallucinating; I know what I saw."

"Maxwell, do we really need to bring up Tess, for you to realize you're not always right?"

"If you remember correctly, I was right about her."

"No, Liz was right about her, but none of you would listen. You wouldn't even listen when she brought up Alex's murder. You had more pressing matters," Michael explained, fed up with their "leader."

"Let's just get on with business," Jim said, trying to defuse the situation. Sticking Michael and Max together was like setting fire to gasoline. Jim did not want to be the idiot standing in the middle of it. "What was it you wanted to tell us Maria?"

"We've got company in town asking questions, a reporter and a FBI agent."

"What kind of questions?" Kyle asked.

"About the shooting," Isabel spoke up, not wanting Maria to have all the attention. "They were at Art 6 sharing information. The reporter had spoken with a woman, who was in the Crashdown, and she gave Max's name. The agent warned the reporter about danger, and she said there was none because Max Evans was a teenager at the time."

"We'll keep an eye on them, and if they get too close, we'll take care of the problem," Max stated carelessly.

"Now hold on a minute. You are not talking about murder, are you?" Valenti asked.

"No, but we might scare them to death."

Kyle and Michael were trying their hardest to keep the laughs in.

"Is that all?" Kyle asked.

"No, I think we need to keep an eye on Liz and the guy with her."

"Oh, give it a rest, Max. She's moved on," Michael's anger was getting the best of him.

"Nobody moves on from their soulmate. It's not possible."

Jim noticed the first signs of a fight about to break out, and once again stepped into the gasoline. "Okay, we'll keep an eye on those two, as well. Now, if you don't mind, Kyle and I are going to eat supper," he said dismissing the crowd in their home.

~
A/N: Art 6 is a small coffee shop I fell in love with, and I just had to include it in the story.

Thanks for all the reviews. I'm glad your guys are still reading.

Part 10

"Okay, they are really not spying well," Liz said to Michael in the kitchen, having noticed Max and Maria sitting in their usual booth. "Shouldn't you give them some pointers or something?"

"No, frankly, I hope Josef sees them and decides to quench his thirst and blood lust."

"Michael, that's not very nice to say toward your brother and girlfriend."

"Ex-girlfriend. Max pissed me off at the meeting. I really hope your plan makes him extremely paranoid. That would just be hilarious," Michael said with laughter in his voice.

"I hope it does too, but in order for it to work, Beth is going to have to go through a little make-over with a little alien mojo to help out," Liz hinted.

"When do you need me?"

"How about right after you get off? I'll give Beth a call to meet over here then."

"Make sure you tell her to come through the back. Maria and Isabel are highly suspicious of her and Mick. That part of your plan worked perfectly, even though it wasn't planned to be right then," Michael winked.

"I know. I am so proud of them for coming up with that. I guess it was a good idea to show them my old high school yearbook; otherwise, they wouldn't have known who to look out for."

*****

"Okay, Michael, I want Beth to look exactly like Tess from the back."

"Oh, this is going to be good," Michael said with a smirk. "I can't wait to see Max's reaction. It's such a shame we can't record it."

"I know, but we don't want to give anything away."

When it came to the mojo, all Michael had to do was shorten Beth's hair and give it some curl. The rest was up to the mousse and hair spray. She wore some old clothes Liz had borrowed from Tess on one of her bouts of insanity. Now all they had to do was sit back and enjoy the show.

*****

Michael and Kyle had decided to watch the events unfold close to the action, meaning they were sitting with Max, Isabel, and Maria. They wanted to watch each of their reactions without being too inconspicuous.

Jeff and Nancy were waiting on a couple of customers at the counter including Mick, who was waiting for his date to arrive. By the way Jeff and Mick were conversing it appeared to be an interrogation to the teenagers at the booth, but Michael and Kyle new differently. They were waiting the the action to begin as well.

Liz and Josef had decided it was past time for them to have a "normal" date. If normal consisted of paranoid aliens and obsessive ex-boyfriends that is. They were talking about the will Jeff was having written up and about the restraining order against Max.

"My love, you know you can't get a restraining order for all of my ex's, right? If you are you might want to add Kyle to that list," Liz teased.

"I can and I will have one made for everyone who thinks they have the right to grab you like Evans did. I know you can take care of yourself, but just this once will you let me take care of you?"

"You take care of me just fine. I love how protective you are toward me. It's the same that I feel for you, but that doesn't mean I'm going to get a restraining order against Simone for you. I'm really starting to wish I could just drain her dry."

"Is my mate jealous of a little human lawyer?" Josef saw Liz did not like the teasing one bit and decided to try another approach. "Okay, I'll make you a deal. If she comes on to me anymore or becomes a problem, you can have her as a pet, to do with as you please."

"You know I don't need your permission, right? But I'll humor you none the less. It's a deal, but I want something more out of it."

"What, Love? Anything."

"After all of this, I want you and I to go on a little vacation. This is fun, but I want more alone time with you before we have to continue with business in LA."

"It would be my pleasure," Josef said with a smoldering look, one only found on a man dying of thirst and realized water was a foot away. He just wanted to pounce over the table and take her upstairs to their room, but he knew she wanted to witness the terrified look on Max's face with "Tess" walked through the door.

At that moment, the puppet-theatre began. Beth walked through the Crashdown, making sure her hair covered her face from Max's table, and walked over to the counter to sit beside Mick and asked for a Cherry Coke. Liz had let Beth in on every little detail she could about the alien's weird habits, and what she forgot, Michael picked up.

After receiving her drink, she decided to order a burger, fries, and a bottle of tabasco that was filled with ketchup. The observing group wouldn't know the difference until Max got close enough to turn her around, and that's exactly what happened.

He stood stiffly from the booth and made his way to the control. Blinking his eyes constantly to make sure he was really sees Tess sitting there. He had a terrified look in his eyes, with something underneath burning through. It could have easily been anger, but one never knew with him.

He reacted out with the left, keeping his right free just in case she attacked. When his hand was just hovering above her shoulder, Mick reacted out grabbing his wrist, knocking Max out of his stupor.

"What do you think you are doing?" Mick asked with mock anger in his voice, while Beth turned in her seat.

Max was shocked by the woman sitting at the counter. He could have sworn up and down it was Tess coming back to haunt him. He looked at all the clues he had put together.

The clothes could have been bought at the mall. The hair was nothing special for a woman meeting a man at an eating establishment. The cherry coke was easily anybody's choice of drink. On closer inspection, the Tabasco was just ketchup or possibly red sauce put into a Tabasco bottle; perhaps Mr. Parker ran out of ketchup bottles and needed a substitute.

Overall, Max had been a total sucker for the plan, and all the ones involved were not succeeding in holding in their laughter.

First of all, I have to apologize to those who are still reading. This story really isn't all that great. It's dragging on more than I wanted it too. But hopefully I will make up for it in the next couple of chapters. There will be more action, I promise.

Part 11

As much fun as it was to pull the so called prank on Max, it did not alleviate the pain and humility Max had caused Liz and her family. Josef made a decision that night that Max would not get away with hurting HIS family.

Liz was at the cemetery visiting Alex, so now would be the perfect time to enact HIS plan for good old Maxie boy. Simone had done her part by taking the finished restraining order to the Sheriff's office to be served to Max before he could do anything else. Josef was just waiting to see what Max would do next.

*****

Max was shocked when an officer walked into the UFO Museum toward Brody carrying an envelope.

"I'm looking for Max Evans," the officer said sternly to Brody.

"Max, come here for a second."

"What can I help you with?" Max asked the officer courteously.

"I'm here to serve you with a restraining order pertaining to the Crashdown Cafe and the Parker family. They have asked since you work across the street that you stay at least twenty feet away from the premises. That should be an adequate distance for your working conditions and parking considering the museum has its own employee parking in the back. Now, if you'll please sign here in order to show you received this order, and I'll let you get back to work."

Max signed the papers needed fuming. How dare them put a restraining order against me. Don't they know who I am? And that stupid Bitch is going to pay. After everything I've done for her, and she goes behind my back to pull this together. I'll show her!

*****

Liz was sitting in front of her best friend's headstone hoping the guilt of not saving him would drain away into the ground with his cold body.

"I am so sorry, Alex. I should have been there. I should have realized what that bitch was doing and stopped her. Out of all of my years, the biggest regret was losing you," Liz sobbed. "You were always there for me. Helping me cope with leaving Josef, helping me restrain myself from killing Max, and most of all helping me survive.

"I never did get a chance to thank you for donating blood as much as you did. I never thanked you for forgiving when I lied about Max.

"I wish you were still here so you could meet Josef and Mick and Beth. They've become like a second family to me. Well, Mick and Beth anyways. Josef was always my family.

"We had this ridiculous...No, I had this ridiculous plan to scare the shit out of Max, making him think Tess was back in town to ruin his life again. But it's not turning out how I planned. I don't feel as good as I thought I would. Max deserves something far worse than what I'm doing to him.

"He broke into my parents house, violated their privacy, just to find out where I went. Not to mention all the hell he put me through. I've had enough. I am so close to losing my temper and telling Josef that Roswell does need a massacre, but that could be the hunger talking.

"Supposedly, I don't need blood to survive anymore, but every time I'm around Josef, I want to feed off of him while he feeds off of me. I guess that's just something I'll have to talk to him about," Liz sighed with relief at speaking her mind to her childhood friend's grave. Even though, he wasn't around anymore, right here, at this place, she still felt his presence.

Why didn't you tell me, Love? I would have understood, Josef whispered to her while wrapping her up in his arms.

I don't know. Things have been going so well, I just didn't want to bother you with it, especially when I know what it feels like to have you feed from me. It's simply erotic.

That's how I feel as well, and I can just imagine with both of us feeding off of each other, the sensations we would feel. Actually, why don't we go find out. We still have plenty of time before the sun comes up. Let's go play, Josef said, raising his eyebrows.

I'm game.

Josef let out a roaring laugh. "I'm game? Where did you hear that from?"

"I think it's from talking to Alex," Liz smiled.

"Well then, let's go," he said lifting her up and making her wrap her legs around his waist.

*****

They made it into the room without any interruptions stopping them. Josef had Liz pressed against the door the second it was shut.

Liz moaned when she felt his desire against her stomach and shredded his clothes to get to his skin. Small drops of blood rolled down his chest from her nails. She leaned over to stop the droplets from going any further, tasking the sweetness of his blood.

She loved being about to eat human food, but she could live without it; she couldn't live with this. She could live off of his blood together, as well as he could live off of hers. They might have to go hunting every now and then for some fresh, but she'll be damned if he gets close to another freshie's vein.

Not going to happen, Love. We'll go looking for serial killers, if we have to hunt. Might as well help the humans out some.

Liz moaned again at the thought of a hunt. The blood pumping through the poor defenseless mortal from adrenaline and fear. Yummy.

When Liz got control of the blood-lust, she realized Josef was just at her opening, and she didn't have time to think about where her clothes had gone. She was just waiting, breathlessly for the moment of fullness she could only obtain from him.

She didn't have to wait long, and as he sank into her body, she felt his fangs sink into the vein in her neck. Josef, she moaned through their link.

He drank as he moved within her body, bringing her to the breaking point and pulling her back. He brought his head up from her neck, looking into her eyes, begging her to take from him what she needed and wanted. All they needed was for her to start feeding from him, sending them both over the cliff.

He carried her to the bed while she was still feeding, making sure she got her fill. When she was finished, they laid together laughing, still feeling the pleasure course through their bodies.

I think we'll have to go hunting tomorrow. You completely wore me out. I can't even speak right now.

That won't be a problem with me. Although, I'm wondering if alien blood with be sweeter than human blood.

Josef's laughter quickly turned to growling. I hope you aren't planning on feeding from Max

What?

Sorry, Love. I think I've finally found my jealous streak. How about I feed enough for both of us, cause I really don't like the idea of you feeding from another male, let alone an ex-boyfriend.

Liz laughed at that. Well, if that's the case, then you'll have to stay away from females. After this, I don't think I could handle the thought of you feeding from a freshie.

Deal, they both said together.
