Title: A Fatal Love Story
Diclaimer: I do not own any of the roswell characters from either Melinda Metz's books or Jason Katim's series but I do own characters from my imagination which aren't in the books or the show of Roswell.
Summary: A 23 yr old divorcee Liz Parker finds herself in another world after a fatal chase from alien hunters only to have her world turned upside down..
Rating: ADULT
Category: Focuses mostly on Max/Liz, a little bit of Liz/Nigel to begin with.
Author's note: I had a dream one night and my fingers were itching to write. I also thought it would be great to portray Max in a different light and only want to really focus on Max and Liz in this story. This is also my first fanfic, so I'm going to try my best to impress.
Hope you guys enjoy this fanfic.

Part one..
LIZ'S POV
"Tell me that you love me?". My voice trembles as I look at my husband of two years sitting in the passenger seat of my black chevy Impala. He opened his lips and paused. My hand grips the steering wheel tighter, outside is lashing with rain and the windows of my car is steaming up. Our breaths mingle and fog the glasses, heating up the atmosphere.
I don't know whether I've made the biggest mistake of my life or not. I've told him. Yep, I've told my husband my biggest secret ever and he's not responding or taking too long to respond.
And it was October. The month of the monsters. I hated Halloween. Always did and Always will. Why oh Why did I choose this month to reveal my darkest secret to the man I was married to?
His once dark blue eyes are now a misty grey and his face was rigid with a blank expression. He refused to look at me. That man who enticed me, woeed me and won me over in University now was refusing to look at me and tell me it was going to me okay.
That he still loved me and nothing would change that. "Nigel why don't you say something?".
He then looks at me like he doesn't even know me. My heart skips a beat. I'm scared. I hate that look. I want him to stop looking at me like that. "Liz....I can't." He stammers. "I can't tell you how much I love you because...."
"Because why?". I plead, demanding the answer from him. He's not going to leave me, I convince myself. He can't. He promised on our wedding day that he'll stand by my side forever no matter what. How could he forget those wedding vows? Our wedding vows.
"Because I can't love an alien." He tells me and my world crashes down. I stop breathing for a second. He continues. "I'm human and you're an alien. We're not meant to be." He stated, I looked away in shock.
"Liz, think about it." He added. "If we stay together, our relationship won't be normal. Our children won't be normal, they'd be hybrids." He tried to reason.
"Shut up." I snapped. "Don't you think I know that?". I asked him, tears silently falling from my eyes.
"Liz, you should have told me before otherwise I wouldn't have-" Nigel was about to say but I cut him off.
"Otherwise you wouldn't have married me and you would have dumped me!". I yell. "How could you be so shallow?!".
"Sorry Liz, I have to end this relationship. It's not going to go anywhere." Nigel blankly tells me and I shut my eyes close, sqeezing more tears out from my eyes.
I almost choke on my tears. There was it. My fairytale married life was over. Shattered completely.
"Goodbye Liz." Nigel says before opening the door, stepping out into the cold angry rain and shutting the door before running away. He's gone.
He's left me forever....

It's been a year since Nigel left me. I stayed back in Boston and was now living with my best friend Maria and her husband Micheal Guerin whose also another great friend of mine. They didn't mind me staying with them. Infact they were so sweet enough to take me in while I was going through the trauma of being divorced. They helped me with everything, starting my own career and living again.
Because of my friends, I realised I didn't need a Nigel or anyone else to be happy. I didn't need a ring on my finger but I wanted a ring on my finger. I'm a singer and so is Maria. That's how we met. I remember meeting her in my manager's office when she wanted us to record a song together. The image we both portray to the media, everyone and our fans, is the strong willed sexy sassy woman admired by all. And I was content with the idea of hot guys wanting to be with me. It made me feel human.
Micheal and Kyle along with Isabel were also aliens too. I knew Micheal and Kyle during our time of High school. Us three were best friends. Heidi was also another best friend of mine until she died in a car crash...Isabel was her cousin and the pair with a couple of boys had been joyriding, sadly my best friend died but I gained another best friend. Isabel Evans.
She didn't replace Heidi but she made up for that lost time which I would have spent with Heidi. Like me, Isabel Evans was the only child in the family and surprisingly she too was an alien so we had that in common. Alex Whitman, who wasn't an alien but my fellow cousin had a thing for Isabel Evans the moment he saw her. I always wanted to see them together, and I did when they were dating. But soon enough, Isabel broke Alex's heart by agreeing to marry Jesse Ramairez, some guy who works at her father's firm.
It put a strain to our friendship because Alex was the sweetest guy on earth who wouldn't hurt a fly. She used him, broke him and corrupted him. Now Alex was sleeping around like one of those promiscuos playboys who just didn't give a damn. He even accepted her being an alien, something I wished Nigel would have done yet Isabel left Alex for someone richer. It broke my heart seeing Alex using sex as a game, sleeping with sluts and ruining his own fairytale world.
I always grew up with the fairytale image in my head. As a young child, my grandmother would narrate disney stories to me and I would imagine my Prince Charming sweeping me off my feet. I hoped everyone met their soulmate, as my grandmother had put it. Maria and Micheal were the only happiest couple I have ever known and I always prayed for their union for eternity. Watching them being a couple gave me hope, atleast there's someone out there waiting for me. My soulmate....
"LIZ!?". Aunt Amy called from up the stairs. I almost jumped up at hearing her sqeaky voice. Maria's mother had a very different voice from her daughter and Liz knew that Amy could never compete with her daughter in a singing match. "Dinner's ready!".
And yet, Maria's mother was an excellent cook, a trait that Maria didn't have. I smiled and closed the journal before putting it away under my pillow. I felt like a teenager all over again. "Coming Aunt Amy!". I hollered, putting the pen in my drawer before sliding out of my huge four poster bed.
The smell of linguini made my mouth water and was one of my favourite Italian dishes. Aunt Amy sure knew how to cheer me up I thought, walking out of the room almost forgetting for a moment that today was the one year anniversary that Nigel had left me...
