Prolog 2001

She watched outside the house as a boy walked in to confront the blond tramp that had ruined his life. She knew that she should have stopped him. But she didn’t and now it was too late. That trampy traitor was going to try and stop him from telling the King the truth about her. She pushed a strand of strawberry blond hair out of her face. If she didn’t do something than the boy would be dead. That tramp had mindwarped him one to many times. If she tried again there was a good chance that it would kill him. She couldn’t let that happen. But it was too late. She saw the son of the former Sheriff of the town of Roswell caring the boy out of the house. She had mindwarped him into think he was caring a bag of some sort. She knew what she had to do. She had to act fast if she was going to save the life of one of the best friends of the chosen Queen. She followed at a distance as she watched a tuck switch lanes and run into the car that held the boy. The driver had been mindwarped but there was nothing she could do about that. She had to act fast now if she was going to save Alex Whitman’s life. She ran up to the car and placed her hand on his chest and opened a connection. It wasn’t easy with him unconscious but she was in and started to heal him. But then she heard the sirens as they got closer and broke the connection before the healing was complete. She hid and waited until she would be able to complete it. But turned out to be hours later. And by then all of his friends believed that he was dead. So she did the only thing that she could think of took him out of town and hoped that one day that she would be able to reunite him with his friends.

Two months later

They watched from a distance as the granalith blasted off into the sky.

“This is bad Serena.”
“No kidding. Alex it’s not like I could stop it.”
“Yeah you could have.”
“Alex my job is to keep an eye on Liz. Not to stop Max from being stupid. It’s not like I give a damn about Tess. Look I risked a lot saving your life. But if I didn’t than the damn world would end. It’s time to lay low. There is nothing that can be done now. I just hope that both Max and Liz stop acting stupid and get back together. And don’t forget that you can’t let them know you are alive. Not yet anyway.”
“But I can visit Isabel again right? You know like I did after I “died” cause I miss her.”
“Just as long as you don’t tell her that you are alive I don’t care.”

Alex knew that Serena was lying but didn’t call her on it. He knew that she cared for him but until he helped Isabel move on there was no way in hell that he could even think about being with her.

Part 1 2004

It’s been two years since we left Roswell. If someone had told me then that I would be in an old VW van with my five closest friends I would have laughed in their face. But here I am driving across the country in a van that has been on the road since long before I was born. The van I would say is close to twice my age. I look around the van and see My best friend Maria DuLuca asleep in the arms of her long time on and off boy friend Michael Guerin. Then there is Isabel Evans Ramirez who had to leave her husband behind when we fled the FBI sharpshooter at our high school graduation two years ago. Then there is Kyle Valenti the son of the former Sheriff of Roswell who lost his job because of the secrets kept in this group. Then there is the driver my husband Max Evans. He is kinda the reason we are here. It is because of what he did back in September of 1999 that we had to leave our home and live on the run. Then there is me. I’m Liz Parker Evans.

“Liz are you writing again?” asked Michael
“Michael don’t worry. I’m not writing anything about aliens. I learned that lesson last time.”
“Leave her alone Michael.” said Max
“I just asked a question.”

Liz stopped paying attention to the two boys as she was hit with a vision.

“Liz is something wrong?” asked Maria
“We have to go back to Roswell.” said Liz
“What?” asked Isabel
“I just had a vision something is going to happen at the Crashdown.”
“Liz it’s too dangerous.” said Max
“Max we have too. I don’t know what is going to happen but my parents might be in trouble. If they are then so might your parents and Kyle’s dad and Maria’s mom. If something happens to any of them and we could have stopped it I wouldn’t be able to live with myself and I know that you wouldn’t either.”
“I think that we should go Max. If Liz is right and our parents are in danger than we have to help them.” said Isabel
“Count me in on that one.” said Kyle
“Liz are you sure you saw the Crashdown?” asked Maria
“Maria I spent most of my life there. Even after two years I think I would know what it looked like.” said Liz
“We’re going Maxwell. You aren’t King. You told us that before we left remember?” said Michael
“Ok we will start heading to Roswell in the morning it’s late and I don’t know about any of you but I want to get some sleep before we go home.” said Max

Home I never thought that this day would come. But here we are getting ready to go back to the one place that we have always wanted. To the place that we learned to love, the place where our hearts broke, to the place that we all had dreams of leaving, because we all believed that there had to be more in life for us than Roswell New Mexico. But how those dreams changed one night two years ago. Since then we have all dreamed of going back to the small town that we had grown up in and wanted to escape. I hope that my parents understand now all the secrets and lies that I kept and told. But I still wonder what is in store for us when we reach Roswell.

Liz shoved her journal in her bag and started to watch as the Rocky Mountains pasted. Over the past two years Liz and her friends had seen almost every state in the US and part of Canada. But deep down they had all longed to go back to the stupid alien theme town that they had grown up in. Now without knowing what they will find they are heading home.

Alex sat in the passenger seat of the black Mustang as Serena followed the old VW van. He knew who was in that van. All would be surprised to see him. Well there was the small fact that they believed that he died three years ago. He turned in his seat to look at the young woman sleeping in the backseat. She had short blond hair streaked with pink and purple and bright blue eyes. She looked just like Tess Harding but Ava was nothing like her. He still remembered the day he had Serena run into her just outside of Detroit she didn’t trust them and he didn’t trust her. But over the past two years they had all become close. Alex knew that he had in fact loved Isabel Evans back in high school. But it wasn’t the same way that he loves Serena. He understood now how Liz felt about Max.

“You ok Alex?”
“Yeah. So Rena when are we going to let them know about us?”
“After we get to Roswell. But I think it’s time for you to give Liz a little visit.”
“You sure that is a good idea?”
“Alex you once told me that Maria and Liz are like the sisters you never had.”
“I know it’s just that I’m scared.”
“You have to do it. They need to know things aren’t always what they seem.”
“Liz is going to freak out. Serena I don’t know if she is ready to face the fact that everything that has happened since the day she was shot was planned. You knew everything that would happen to us.”
“Well Liz almost messed everything up when she listened to Future Max. Lucky Future Liz came to me to make sure that things didn’t get to far out of hand. I know that this is going to be hard on all of them. But Max and Liz have to be together. So do Michael and Maria.”
“Isabel has to be with Jesse. Ava with Kyle, which is something you should worry about seeing as they have never met. And you my lovely are all mine.”
“You are so cornball.” mumbled Serena
“You have been hang out with Ava too much Rena. You’re starting to talk like her.”
“Alex shut up.”

Alex watched Serena out of the corner of his eye. He knew that she was hiding something from him and Ava. What he didn’t know. But he knew in time she would tell him what he needed to know.

Part 2 Two days later.

Liz was curled up with Max in the back seat of the van when Kyle drove past the Welcome to Roswell sign.

“Guy where are we heading now that we are in alien land?” asked Kyle
“Let’s go to the Crashdown. I still have my key so we can get some coffee before we come up with a game plan.” said Liz
“Liz what will your dad say when we just show up?” asked Maria
“Maria I am still his daughter. I don’t know about you but I kinda think he will be happy to see me.”
“Liz who knows how he and your mom took the news that aliens are among us.” said Maria
“I would be more worried about your mom if I were you.” said Kyle
“Hey Kyle think your dad and Amy are still seeing each other?” asked Michael
“God I hope that they at lest got married by now.” said Maria

Liz stared out the window as they pulled up in front of the Crashdown. Max watched her he knew that she was nervous about seeing her parents again. But he was going to be there for her no matter how they acted at seeing them all again. He looked at his watch and saw that it was seven in the morning. But the Crashdown was still dark.

“Liz it’s after seven shouldn’t the Crashdown be open?” asked Max
“Uh yeah unless my parents changed the hours. But it doesn’t matter we will be able to get in.”
“Ready to head in?”
“As I will ever be.”

The six of them climbed out of the van and walked up to the café. They found it dark and locked. They saw no sign of life.

“I thought that was you kids. If you are looking for your parents Liz they disappeared two days ago.” said a voice behind them.

All six of them turned to see Jim Valenti standing there in a Roswell deputy uniform.

“Dad?” asked Kyle
“Hi son.”
“What happened to my parents Mr. Valenti?” asked Liz
“Don’t know. All I know is I came by for my morning coffee and the café was closed. Your parents gave me a key after you all took off in case something happened so that I could look around. So I when in and up to the apartment. There was no sign them and except for your old room Liz there was nothing out of place. Your room was trashed. Maybe we should head inside to finish talking about this. Don’t want the wrong person to over hear. Besides the FBI still drops by town every once in a while.”

Valenti unlocked the Crashdown door and the seven of them walked in locking the door behind them.

“I think it best that we go upstairs. That way no one will see you all back in town. By the way why did you all come back?” said Valenti

“The crystal ball here got one of her famous visions of doom.” said Michael

Maria swatted him as they walked through the back room door.

“Liz what did you see?” asked Valenti
“Not much. Just the Crashdown and the town sign.”
“Liz do you think that you could try and find something out? Try and force yourself to have a vision?” asked Isabel
“I have never tried before but who knows what will happened once we get upstairs.”

They all walked upstairs. Once they were in the Parker’s living room Liz fainted.

Part 3

Alex laid down on the bed in the Tumbleweed Inn. He knew that this was going to be his only chance to reach Liz before they would meet up tonight. He closed his eyes and focused all his energy on reaching his old friend. Then he was in.

He saw Liz sitting in a booth in the Crashdown crying. He walked over and sat down across from her and took her hand in his. She looked up at him surprised.

“Alex is this a dream?”
“Liz why don’t you tell me?”
“Alex this has to be a dream. You died three years ago. Tess killed you three years ago.”
“If that is what you say then this is a dream. But think about it for a minute. If this is a dream then how do I know who has your parents and the Evans?”
“Who has them?”
“Well that is kinda hard to explain.”
“Just do it. If you are alive then tell me what the hell is going on. Where have you been all this time? And tell me how in the hell you could make me and Maria think that you are dead? You were like a brother to us!”
“Liz I wish that I could explain this to you. But I can’t right now. All your questions will be answered tonight. Just sit tight and after dark meet us in the Crashdown.”
“Who is us?”
“Me and my friends.”
“How do I know that this isn’t some trick? How do I know that you aren’t really some shapeshifter or some other kind of alien that can look like Alex?”
“Liz, it was Kyle and me who told you how to kill those blue crystal things, you told me that Max, Michael and Isabel aren’t from around here in the Roswell jail after Valenti busted us at the party at the old soap factory. What else do I have to tell you that will make you believe that it’s really me?”
“I don’t l know.”
“Liz how about this. You got a visit from the future once. It was Max. He asked you to help his younger self to fall out of love with you. He also told you that you would one day have a friend named Serena.”
“The Alex I knew didn’t know about that.”
“Well I do cause I met Serena. She is one of my friends that wants to meet with all of you including Jesse tonight. By the way he is on his way to Roswell. He got a message that said if he wants a chance to see his wife than he better get his butt to Roswell tonight.”
“Alex aren’t you still in love with Isabel?”
“No Liz. She was my first love. And I will never forget that, but I have someone else in my life. Someone who risked everything to save my life.”
“Alex you really are alive aren’t you?”
“Yes.”
“Serena saved your life didn’t she?”
“Yes. But not because she loved me then. She did it for you. Liz there is so much more to all of this than any of us ever knew. There is a four square but not in the way you believe. Serena can explain it better than me. We will see you tonight. Good bye for now Elizabeth Anne Parker-Evans.”
“Bye Alex.”

Alex woke up and found Serena watching him.

“Did you get in?” she asked
“Yes. I had to tell Liz a lot more than I thought I would to get her to believe me.”
“I knew that could happen.”
“Serena, how much do you really know about what is going on?”
“Alex I told you that I only want to explain this once. So you will find out when I tell the others.”
“I hate when you talk like this.”
“Really? I once heard you say it was sexy to be cryptic.”
“You would throw that back at me.”
“Alex you know I always do stuff like that.”
“You know I don’t know what that future Liz saw in you to become your friend.”
“Hey Whitman it was my charm. The same thing you fell in love with. I personally don’t know why Liz became friends with a geek like you.”
“Will you two shut it. You’re worse than Rath and Lonnie were! I left them losers cause they were always sparing like that.” said Ava from the other bed.
“Oh I thought it was cause they tried to kill you for telling Liz, Michael and Isabel that they killed Zan.” said Serena
“That too. If you two going to keep this up get me my own room or I’ll go sleep behind the Crashdown. Who knows maybe Liz will find me again and take pity on me again and give me a sofa to crash on.” said Ava

Serena rolled her eyes. This wasn’t the first time that the three of them had ended up in the same room. Ava always felt like a third wheel. But there was nothing they could do to change that. They had to save money and hopefully that will be coming to an end soon. Maybe she will be able to connect with Kyle later.

“Ava you know that this is only for today and tonight. We leave Roswell tomorrow to save the Parkers and Evans.” said Serena
“I was just wondering cause it’s been a while since you two got laid.” said Ava with a smile
“Gee Ava do you really need to bring our sex life up now?” asked Alex
“I like see you scrum Whitman.”
“She’s right you are kinda cute when you scrum.” said Serena
“Why do I end up with two alien women? Why me? First I have to give blood for Max. Then I get thrown in jail with Liz Parker who tells me that the crash in 1947 was real. Oh and let’s not forget the weird balance thing. Then I help rig a FBI camera to spy on Tess who turns out to be an alien. Then I have help brake Max out of a military base where he was about to star in his own alien autopsy. Then I find out that the girl I have this major crush on needs to be with Michael. Oh let’s not forget the time Ava, Lonnie and Rath show up in Roswell after killing Zan to drag Max off to New York. During this time lets not forget the whole school thinks that Kyle and Liz slept together because Max came back from the future to get Liz to brake up with him so that Tess doesn’t leave. Oh then there was the time I was trapped with Kyle in the nest of those blue alien crystal things that almost killed us. Oh and lets not for get that while everyone in Roswell thought that I was in Sweden Tess was mindworping me into translating that stupid destiny book, and when I finally broke out of that web of lies she would have killed me if you hadn’t been around spying on Liz, Serena. Then I had to play dead for the next three years. Oh and let’s not forget that Tess used the riff between Liz and Max to get laid and run back to Kivar with Max’s kid.”
“You done ranting? Cause you are starting to sound like Maria who you haven’t been around for three years.” said Serena
“Yeah I am.”
“Good cause if you weren’t I would have had to kick Ava out cause you were really turning me on.”
“Gee. I’m outta here. You two work this out in the next two hours cause I ain’t living with this no more.” said Ava getting up and leaving.

Alex smiled at Serena once Ava was gone. Then wrapped his arms around her giving her a soft kiss. Before long they found themselves in bed.

Part 4

Liz woke up and found everyone watching her.

“You ok Liz?” asked Maria
“Yeah.”
“You fainted are you sure?” asked Max
“Max I’m ok. Uh I have something to tell all of you.”
“What is it Liz?” asked Isabel
“You aren’t going to believe this. But Alex is alive.”
“What!?” yelled everyone
“He was in my head. I think that is why I fainted. I know it was really Alex because he told me things that only Alex would know. He and his friends are going to be at the Crashdown after dark tonight.” said Liz
“How do you know it was really Alex?” asked Michael
“He told me things that only the real Alex would know.” said Liz
“I still think that we should be careful Liz. We don’t know whose side he is on anymore. This could be a trap.” said Max
“Max he knew that my parents are missing and so are yours.” said Liz
“This is not good did Alex say who has them?” asked Isabel
“No that it will all be explained tonight when they get here.” said Liz
“I want to be here when they come. Liz it’s not that I don’t trust your judgement it’s just that I want you kids to be safe.” said Valenti
“I want that too.” said Max
“Oh and Isabel Alex had a message for you. Jesse is on his way back to Roswell.” said Liz
“Jesse? Alex knows about Jesse?” asked Isabel
“Yeah and he seems ok with the idea of you and him.” said Liz
“How did Alex look?” asked Maria
“Good. I mean for someone who almost died three years ago anyway. I think he is in love.” said Liz
“We should get ready for the meeting. We don’t want to be caught by surprise when they get here.” said Max

Alex sat in the mustang as Serena pulled in front of the Crashdown late that night. He has already seen Jesse head in. He was scared to see his old friends again. He was scared to meet Isabel’s husband.

“Alex you ok?” asked Serena
“Just a little scared.”
“Alex these are your friends.”
“I know Rena it’s just that how do I tell them that the only way that they will see their parents again is by going to Antar.”
“Yo cornballs we going in or not?” asked Ava from the backseat.
“It’s time Alex.” said Serena

Alex took a deep breath and opened his door and climbed out. Serena and Ava followed close behind as he walked up to the door of the Crashdown and opened the door. All three of them walked in and found the others waiting for them.

“Hey guys.” said Alex
“Alex is that really you?” asked Maria
“Yeah Ria it’s me.”
“How do I know that you are the real Alex?” asked Michael
“Let’s see I punched you once cause you hurt Maria by getting to close to Courtney.” said Alex
“How have you been dude?” asked Michael
“Been better. I know you are all wondering who my friends are. This is Serena. And I know some of you will remember Ava.” said Alex
“Yo cornball how you been?” Ava asked looking at Liz.
“Ava why are you here?” asked Liz
“Liz everything will be explained. Will everyone please sit down?” asked Serena

Everyone did as they were asked. Then Serena pushed her hair behind her ear and started to pace.

“First thing you should know is that I am from Antar. And Michael before you ask I have been on Earth for a long time. I was sent here to watch Liz.” said Serena
“Watch me why?” asked Liz
“Because things aren’t always what they seem. Each of you has a destiny. I don’t know what it is but I was told that if anything happened to any of you then Antar would be screwed.” said Serena
“Who the hell are you?” asked Michael
“Michael I will explain in time.” said Serena
“Give me a reason I should trust you.” said Michael
“Because Michael I’m your sister!” yelled Serena

Alex turned to look at her like she was crazy.

“You are Michael’s sister?” asked Alex
“Didn’t I ever tell you that?”
“No.”
“Yo you two stop fighting. Just tell them what they need to know Rena.” said Ava
“Right back to why I am here. You see I was sent here to watch Liz. One of the seers on Antar saw you in a vision about ten years before you were born. It was said that a reborn king would only be able to defeat a great evil when the love of another world united with the Royal Four Square. But here is the thing the moment that Max healed Liz sealed the fate of all of us.”
“What do you mean?” asked Isabel
“Well it was no long just about the Royal Four. It was about two worlds. Both Earth and Antar. Kivar isn’t going to stop with just taking over Antar. He is going to come after Earth and destroy it. Everything changed when Liz was brought into this.” said Serena
“I don’t understand.” said Liz
“Liz what she is getting at is. The day you were shot and Max healed you it was no longer the Royal Four. It was the Royal Eight and their advisers.” said Alex
“What?!” said Maria
“Maria, you are just as imported as Max or Michael or Isabel. Liz is Max’s queen. Michael is still Max’s second, Maria that has made you Liz’s Lady in waiting. Isabel and Jesse our princess and prince of Antar. Ava and Kyle are the remaining members of the Royal Eight.” said Serena
“So what are you and Alex the advisers?” asked Kyle
“Yes Buddha Boy that is what it means.” said Alex
“This is too much. I need to think.” said Liz taking off.

Max started to go after her, but Serena stopped him.

“Let me go.”
“Why you don’t even know her.”
“Max I know a lot about Liz. I have been watching her since she was fourteen. Please Max?”
“Ok I guess I will have to trust you.”
“Thanks Max.”

Part 5

Liz was sitting on her old balcony when she heard footsteps on the roof. She didn’t turn around to see who it was. She could tell that it wasn’t Max or Maria by the footsteps.

“So why did you have to watch me?” Liz asked without turning around.
“Liz I did it because it was my job.” said Serena
“Why me? Why not Maria or Alex or Kyle?”
“Liz because it was seen early who Max would choose as his queen. You.”
“Do you love him?”
“Do I love who?”
“Alex.”
“Yes.”
“You know that if you hurt him and I find out I’ll hurt you.”
“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
“Serena do you know anything about time travel?”
“Time travel?”
“Yeah what do you know about it?”
“Not much why?”
“If you have been watching me for as long as you say you have then you know why I’m asking.”
“Your little visit.”
“You know about that?”
“Yeah. You got future Max I got a future version of you. She said that some thing happened after your visit that would rip everyone apart and that Tess was evil. Hey she was right seeing as Alex almost died.”
“Why wait so long to tell us that Alex was alive?”
“If I had, had my way he never would have been presumed dead. By that idiot Hanson had to show up before I could heal Alex enough that he could go to the hospital.”
“Max tried to heal him and couldn’t.”
“I know. I didn’t know if I would have been able too, it took most of my energy to save him. But I did it because I knew how much he meant to you. I just didn’t count on what else happened.”
“Falling in love with him.”
“Yeah.”
“That’s kinda how it happened for me.”
“Liz I know that this is a lot to take in right now. But I promise you that we will find your parents and bring them back here safely.”
“Do you know where they are?”

Liz watched as Serena started to bite her lip and wouldn’t meet her eyes.

“Where are they Serena?”
“On Antar. Kivar is the one that took them.”
“One last question. Why don’t you act like any other alien we have met?”
“Uh well here’s the thing. I’m not kinda a hybrid. But more Antarain than human.”
“What do you mean?”
“I was given a human body and can only do miner changes to it. Like hair color and change my eyes. I can’t shape shift. But I also feel things the same way that you do. But my powers are more advanced than Max or Michael or Isabel’s will ever be. I also was raised on Antar. The fact that I have human DNA has helped me on Earth a few times. In fact we did meet a couple of times before.”
“What do you mean?”
“I’ve eaten at the Crashdown when you were working. But I was careful not to let you think I was watching you or think that I was an alien after Max healed you. Liz you were always going to play some part in this thing. But what I didn’t know until the day you got shot.”
“Ok. I guess that answers that question.”
“Oh by the way Hanson is evil.”
“What do you mean?”
“He’s an alien on Kivar’s side.”
“This is too much.”
“Liz we will have to leave soon for Antar. Will the Valenti be able to cover a ship taking off with some lame story?”
“Yeah he should be able too.”
“Good.”
“Serena why didn’t you ever tell you were around after Future Max came?”
“Well Liz to tell you the truth I was scared. I mean I didn’t want to get to close in case I couldn’t protect you.”
“Why do you want to protect me?”
“Because I care about you.”
“Why?”
“I can’t tell you yet. It has nothing to due with you. It’s me. I have to get the nerve up to tell you what you should know.”
“Uh maybe we should head back down. Max is going to start to worry about me.”
“Good idea.”
“So Michael is your brother?”
“Yeah. Half brother really. My human DNA came from a woman who would be my mother I guess.”
“Come on.”

Liz got up and climbed through the window. Serena was right behind her.

“Liz why does it look like an earthquake hit your room?”
“Because I just got into town for the first time in two years and found it like this.”
“Why your room?”
“I don’t know. Whoever did this had to be looking for something.”
“Your journal maybe?”
“Possible but I took it with me when I left town. Then sent it to my parents and told them to burn it after reading it.”
“Anything else they could have been looking for.”
“Not that I know of. Let’s go.”

They walked into the Crashdown a few minutes later and found Alex telling jokes just like he use too. Liz sat down next to Max who wrapped his arms around her.

“Max we will have to leave for Antar tomorrow. I don’t like the idea of the humans in Kivar’s hands longer then they have to be.” said Serena
“Ok. Liz are you ok?” said Max
“Yeah. I want to get my parents and yours back.” said Liz
“We will leave after sun down tomorrow. For now I think that we should all try and get some sleep. Ava you going to come back to the motel with Alex and me?” asked Serena
“No way! Liz I’m crashing on the sofa in the back.” said Ava heading for the back room.

Liz raised her eyes at Alex as if to ask “what is going on?”

“Uh Ava doesn’t think that Serena and I get spend enough time together alone.” said Alex
“Too much information. Jesse did you get a room?” said Isabel
“Yeah.”
“Let’s go. I’ll see you all tomorrow.” said Isabel dragging Jesse out of the door.
“See you tomorrow.” said Serena as she and Alex headed out.
“Uh Michael you and Maria can take the spare room. Max and I will find my bed and then sleep there. Sheriff you heading home?” asked Liz
“Yeah. Kyle why don’t you come with me?”
“Sure dad. See you all tomorrow.” said Kyle

Everyone headed to bed to get ready for the long day a head of them.

Part 6

Nancy Parker paced in the small cell that she shared with Diane Evans. They were on a strange planet scared for their lives.

“Nancy pacing isn’t going to help.”
“Diane we are prisoners of an evil alien!”
“I know that. But I know that the kids will come to find us.”
“We are on another planet. There is no one who knows that we are here!”
“Nancy we have to have faith that the kids will find us. I know that they will come as soon as they can. They have help from other aliens on Earth one of them will help them get here.”
“Diane this alien is a madman! He wants to kill Max. How can you be so clam about this?”
“Because he isn’t going to win. Max will die to protect us. You are forgetting that he risked his life to save Liz’s life. He know how much you and Jeff mean to her. He will do whatever he has too to make her happy. Don’t forget that Liz isn’t helpless either. From what I heard she sent Tess flying across the room when she first saw her after her return to Earth.”
“I know but I can’t help but worry.”
“I am too. But we have to have faith in our kids. They have been in danger before and made it out ok.”
“Don’t remind me. I fear everyday that Liz could be killed in this. But I know that if not for Max I would have lost her a long time ago.”

Nancy sat on the hard floor of the cell next to Diane. She prayed that the kids were safe. Just then a woman walked up to the cell. She looked at the woman and there was something about her that made Nancy feel like she should know her.

“The kids are safe.” said the woman
“Who are you?” asked Diane
“A friend.”
“We need a little more than that.” said Nancy
“You can call me Grace.”
“Grace how do you know that the kids are safe.”
“They have a protector with them. One that would never betray them.”
“How do you know that?” asked Diane
“Because she is Michael’s sister. And she saved the life of another one of their friends.”
“Are you telling us that Alex Whitman is alive?” asked Nancy
“Yes, Nancy I am. You will remember soon why you feel like you should know me. I must go for now. Don’t worry they are on their way here to take you home and end this war once and for all.”

Grace walked off and Diane turned to look at Nancy.

“What did she mean that you will remember soon why you feel like you know her?”
“Diane a few years before Liz was born I was driving through the desert late one night. The next thing I remember was that it was morning and I was less a mile outside of Roswell.”
“Your thinking now that you were abducted by aliens?”
“After everything that you have learned in the past three years would you be surprised?”
“Nothing surprises me any more.”
“I never told Jeff about the missing time. I told him that I pulled over and fell to sleep in the car for a couple of hours. This of course was long before everyone had a cell phone. They were still a very new thing.”
“I know. Liz doesn’t know about this either than.”
“No. I have to wonder what they did to me on that ship that night. For all I know I have some half alien kids out there somewhere.”

Serena pushed her hair behind her ear as she climbed into bed next to Alex later that night.

“Did you tell Liz?”
“No.”
“She has a right to know.”
“Alex I will tell her when the time is right. There is too much going on right now. She doesn’t need the stress.”
“Is there something that you’re not telling me?”
“Alex there is nothing I know for sure so I am not going to tell you what I think.”
“You know I hate when you keep secrets.”
“It’s not like I have that many. We share a connection that is almost as strong as Max and Liz’s. There for you know more about me than my father ever did.”
“I don’t like keeping things from Liz. She is like a sister to me.”
“Alex I promise to tell her soon.”
“Yeah sure. Night Rena.”
“Night Alex.”

Serena watched as Alex rolled away from her. She knew that she should have told Liz what she knew. But didn’t believe that Liz was ready to hear it.

Part 7

Liz woke the next morning and climbed out of bed. She walked out to the living room of the apartment that she had grown up in. She looked around and saw that it hadn’t changed much in the time that she had been gone. Her parents had her senior picture hanging on the wall. A long with pictures from the junior prom. But what surprised her the most was there was a picture of her and Max framed that had been taken back when they had first started dating. She was lost in thought and didn’t notice Max come up behind her until he wrapped his arms around her.

“Morning.”
“Morning I missed you.”
“Max you think that they are ok?”
“I don’t know. Liz I know that there are people on Antar that will help them.”
“How do you know?”
“Well there was someone who sent Michael, Isabel and me here. Someone sent Serena to watch out for you. So there must be someone who is watching out for our parents.”
“Max I know that you are right But I can’t help but worry about them.”
“Liz I don’t know what is waiting for us on Antar. But I know that I will die to protect you.”
“Max do you trust Serena?”
“I don’t know. She and Alex seem close. Why is something bothering you about her?”
“I don’t know. I feel like she isn’t telling us everything she knows.”
“Would that really surprise you? Every alien you have met so far has kept something from you. Isabel, Michael and I kept the fact that we were aliens from you for ten years. Uh Tess was evil, as was Nasado. Then there was Rath and Lonnie. They kept the fact that they killed Zan from you. Don’t forget Congress Woman Witaker she hid the fact that she was a skin from you and spied on you.”
“True. Max how about a shower before Michael and Maria beat us to it?”
“I like that idea.”

Max and Liz took off for the shower. An hour later Liz, Max, Michael and Maria walked down to the Crashdown to make breakfast. Liz saw Ava just starting to wake up.

“Morning Ava. You can go up stairs and take a shower if you want.” said Liz
“Thanks. But I think I’ll have some coffee first.” said Ava

Liz pulled her a cup of coffee and passed her a bottle of Tobasco sauce and the sugar.

“Thanks.” Ava mumbled

Just then there was a knock on the door. Liz looked over and saw Kyle with his dad and Amy DuLuca.

“Maria get the door before your mom brakes it down.” said Liz

Maria ran over to the door and unlocked it. Amy was the first through the door and wrapped her arms around Maria.

“Michael get over here right now!” yelled Amy
“Uh hi Ms. DuLuca.” said Michael
“Michael have you been taken good care of my daughter?” asked Amy
“Yes.” said Michael
“Good because alien or not if you didn’t and if you don’t keep doing so I will hunt you down like the mangy dog you are. Do you understand me?”
“Yes Ms. DuLuca.”
“Mom lay off Michael.” said Maria
“You young lady are in trouble. Why didn’t you tell me that you were dating an alien?”
“Well I kinda promise Liz, Max, Isabel and Michael that I would never tell a soul.” said Maria
“And that is a promise she kept. No matter how much I grilled her.” said Valenti
“Liz how are you?” asked Amy
“I’m doing as well as I can.” said Liz
“Max you taking care of her?” asked Amy
“Of course. Ms. DuLuca I would never let anyone hurt Liz.” said Max
“Good. Because I don’t give a damn that you are an alien king.”
“Uh Sheriff did you tell her about you know who?” asked Maria
“If you are asking me if Jim told me about Alex. Yes. I don’t believe it. I don’t understand how it is possible.” said Amy
“Mom you read Liz’s journal right?” asked Maria
“Yeah.”
“Then you know that some aliens can heal someone who should be dead. If Max hadn’t been in the Crashdown that day Liz would be dead.” said Maria
“Ms. DuLuca my parents did burn it didn’t they?” asked Liz
“Yes. They did just as you asked. But they let Max’s parents read it too, as well as Jim.” said Amy
“It helped to fill in a few blanks that I had. Liz if it wasn’t true I would say that it would make a great movie or TV show.” said Jim
“If it were a TV show they would put it on The WB or UPN or something like that. If they didn’t bury it on some cable channel.” said Maria
“That is true. But it would be a better show than some of the ones on today. I can only so much Fear Factor and Smackdown.” said Amy
“What Amy you wouldn’t want to eat maggot filled cheese for money?” asked Jim
“God no. I wouldn’t! Jim are you saying you would?” asked Amy
“I don’t know. Maybe if I ever get fired again I might.”
“That is so gross.” Maria
“But it wouldn’t scar you for life Maria.” said Kyle
“What are you talking about?” asked Maria
“Dad, Amy you going to tell her or not?” asked Kyle
“Tell me what?” asked Maria
“Maria honey, Jim and I got married a couple of months after you left.” said Amy
“Ok that’s not so bad.” said Maria
“They haven’t told you the best part yet.” said Kyle
“What is the best part?” asked Maria
“Maria you have a little sister.” said Amy
“What?!” asked Maria
“You have a two year old sister named Katie.” said Amy
“Why isn’t she here?”
“She is in daycare. Maria I didn’t think that this would be the best place for her. I will bring her to meet you before you leave the planet.” said Amy
“You ok Maria?” asked Liz
“Yeah sure. I leave town for a couple of years and you get married and have a baby. That is just great mom.” Said Maria
“Maria I will have you know that the way you left without saying good bye hurt a lot. I guess I should be glad that you left my Jetta out in the desert.” said Amy
“I’m sorry mom. I had to leave. The FBI almost killed my best friend. Think about Isabel she had to leave her husband behind.”
“True.”
“Uh everyone breakfast is ready. Why don’t we eat?” said Michael
“Good idea Michael.” said Max

Everyone sat down and was eating when Jesse, Isabel, Alex and Serena came in. Michael fixed them plates and they sat down too.

Part 8

Liz walked back into her room after breakfast and started to pick it up. She was lost in thought and didn’t here Alex come in.

“We didn’t get a chance to talk last night.”
“Alex!”
“I didn’t mean to scare you.”
“It’s ok.”
“Your worried about your parents.”
“Yeah.”
“Liz you can trust Serena.”
“What are you talking about?”
“You don’t know if you can trust her or not. I’m telling you that you can. If you can’t trust your best friend’s judgement who’s can you trust?”
“I never told you that I wasn’t sure if I can trust Serena? Did you read my mind or something? Because if you did don’t do it again.”
“Liz, I don’t mean too. But sometimes since Serena healed me I know what people I am close to are thinking.”
“What do you mean close to?”
“I mean people that I would trust my life with. Liz, I was with Serena the past couple of years. I could hear Maria’s thoughts, Michael’s, Max’s, Kyle’s, Isabel’s but yours were always the strongest.”
“Why?”
“I don’t know. Liz it might have to do with the fact that I think of you as a sister.”
“Well before you left I thought of you as a brother. I hated the way Isabel treated you back then. But now I know that you weren’t the right person for her. I think that part of her always knew that. So does Serena treat you ok?”
“Yeah. Liz I love her.”
“I can see it in your eyes. But you know what they say love is blind.”
“True but Liz promise me before you pass judgement on Serena you will get to know her.”
“I plan too. Alex is she hiding anything from me?”
“Liz, Serena needs to open up to you in her own time. If she is keeping anything from you it’s because she feels that you might not be ready to hear. Get to know her. Liz you might find that you like her if you do.”
“Alex do you know why she was watching me?”
“No. She wouldn’t tell me. But she did tell me that she could tell that Tess was mind warping me. She tried to get to me before the last one that almost killed me but wasn’t fast enough.”
“Could she have done something if she had?”
“Yeah. Repaired the damage to my brain. Mind warping should really be called mind rotting. Even one mind warp does some damage. But given time it will heal on it’s own. But what happened to me was I was mind warped over such a long time repeatedly so I never had time to heal. So when I came back after translating the book I wasn’t myself any more. Liz I couldn’t even remember what had happened to me. I really did think that I had gone to Sweden for a time. By the time that I remembered I hadn’t been there it was too late for me. I should have gone to Max to have him heal me first. But I didn’t want Tess to get away with what she did. Liz we all make choices. I want you to know that I never blamed you for bringing me into the “I know an alien club.” Liz the way I see it is if you hadn’t not only would I have lost my best friends I would never have found Serena.”
“Alex, the reason I told you that night we were in jail together was because I couldn’t live with out you in my life. You could always make me smile when I was down. After this is all over with what are you going to do?”
“Not sure. But I think it would be better if my parents don’t get pulled into this mess. Look at what happened to your parents. I don’t want that for them.”
“It’s good to have you back Alex.”
“Thanks. So they trashed your room.”
“Yeah.”
“So that night wasn’t the only one you spent in jail.”
“You know about that?”
“Yeah. Serena was the one who planted the stuff Max and his dad found that got you out of jail and the charges dropped.”
“Why?”
“From what she told me you couldn’t spend any time in jail. If you did then everyone would be screwed.”
“Gee nice to know that she cared.”
“I do care Liz. Alex would you give me some time alone with Liz?” said Serena from the door.
“Sure. Later Lizzie.” said Alex leaving
“What do you want Serena?” asked Liz
“There is something I should tell you.”
“What is it?”
“I know who my human DNA donor is.”
“Really?”
“Yes. So do you.”
“What do you mean?”
“Liz, the only way to say this is to come right out and say it. Your mother is my human DNA donor.”
“What?”
“Before you were born your mother was taken and some of her DNA was use to make me. I wasn’t lying when I said that Michael is my brother. We have the same father.”
“So what you are saying is we are sisters in a way.”
“Yeah.”
“Why don’t you tell me about yourself?”
“Where do I start?”
“How about something more than your name and that you have been watching me for years.”
“Well I’m two years older than you. I lived until I was fourteen on a rebel base when I was sent to Earth. I spent the next two years learning to blend in. Then I started to watch you. I had to stay hidden but I did take your journal a few times to get to know you. But I always put it back when I was done. I know that I shouldn't have, but I had to. I don’t think I would have cared as much if I hadn’t.”
“So uh when did you take it?”
“When you were working.”
“So you were in my room?”
“Yes. It was easier when you hid it behind the lose brick. I should have kicked Michael’s ass for taking it.”
“You knew didn’t you?”
“Yes. I was told never to let you know I was there.”
“So you watched me to make sure Tess didn’t try to kill me?”
“Well until she stated mind warping Alex I didn’t know that she was evil. Liz, I don’t know what else to say.”
“That’s enough for now. So you know everything about me?”
“Not everything. I did let you have your privacy when it came to Max.”
“But not Kyle?”
“I knew even before you were shot that it wasn’t your destiny to be with him. Besides I could see long ago that you were in love with Max but didn’t know what to say about it.”
“How?”
“It was in your eyes. I loved that night you were talking to your grandmother. I sat just out of sight and listened to everything. Your grandmother knew about me. She caught me once. I took a risk and told her the truth to a degree. I didn’t tell her about your mother. But that you had a destiny to help bring peace to another planet. I had to prove to her that I was an alien but she told me she would take my secret to the grave, and she did. Liz there was nothing I could do for her. It was her time.”
“I know. I still miss her.”
“I know. I got some things to do before we leave tonight.”
“How long will it take?”
“A week. We will open a wormhole once we reach Pluto. It’s far enough that Earth won’t pick it up but close enough not to add any extra time on to the trip.”
“Ok.”
“We will talk again.”
“I would like that.”
“Liz I promise we will bring your parents home safely. I only worry that your mom will start to remember her abduction. It does happen from time to time. But with this trip to Antar I know she will.”
“Will she be ok?”
“Yeah. She already knows that the Crash in ’47 was real thanks to you.”
“I know.”
“See you later.”

Serena left and Liz when back to trying to restore some since of order to her room.

Just after sundown Liz stood in the desert with her friends watching as a ship landed. Jim and Amy had come a long to take the van and his SUV back into town. He was going to make it look like the van had been stolen and dumped. Maria had met her sister. Katie looked a lot like Maria and all ready wrapped Michael around her little finger. Liz knew that he would be hopeless when he became a father.

“Liz you ok?” asked Max
“Uh yeah. Just a little nervous about going to another planet.”
“Liz it will be no worse than a flight in a plane.” said Serena
“In case you forgot when I ran away from Roswell to Vermont I took the bus.”
“It will be ok.”
“Yeah sure.”
“Liz we are right here with you babe. Besides its not like you are going alone.” said Maria
“I know. Serena are you sure that it’s safe for us on Antar?” asked Liz
“Yes. Liz you have nothing to worry about. Antar isn’t much different than Earth. What makes Earth harmful to the skins is the sun. Earth is closer to it’s sun than Antar is to it’s. Even at night the skins can’t live here without their husks. You will be fine on Antar. Your parents are fine on Antar.” said Serena
“Yo Rena you ready to go home?” asked a man from the ramp of the ship.
“Yeah Jad. Does Kivar know that you came here for us?”
“You kidding? Kivar is too stupid to notice a ship this small leave. He thinks you need the big ones to get this far.”
“Let’s get going. We want to be long gone by the time the sun comes up don’t we?”
“Right. Let’s go everyone aboard.” said Serena
“Bye mom we will be back as soon as we can. Give Katie a hug and kiss for me.” said Maria
“I will. Michael remember to take good care of her.” said Amy
“I will Amy.” said Michael
“Jim you will take care of my mom right?” asked Maria
“You bet. All of you be careful I want you all to come back safely.” said Jim
“Bye dad. Don’t worry too much. We got the power rangers with us.” said Kyle
“When did he become class clown? I thought that was my job.” said Alex acting hurt.
“Oh grown up Alex. Someone had to step up and keep sprits light or they all would have gone insane by now.” said Serena
“But why did it have to be Buddha Boy?”
“Alex stop wining.” said Maria
“We really have to get going or we risk the humans seeing the ship. I mean the ones that will call the alien hunters.” said Jad
“Ok. Everyone on the ship now.” yelled Serena
“She always this bossy?” asked Michael
“Yes.” said Ava and Alex at the same time.
“I am not bossy!” said Serena
“Yes you are. But I still love you.” said Alex
“Get a room will ya?” said Ava
“So uh Ava want to talk some time?” asked Kyle
“Sure why not?”

Liz smiled as Ave and Kyle walked onto the ship together. Everyone else followed soon after.

Part 10

Nancy woke in a cold sweat. She couldn’t believe it. She was starting to remember being abducted. She had been on a table on a ship and saw people who looked human but spoke words that didn’t sound like any she had ever heard before. They had taken some skin cells from her and blood, and did she didn’t know what else to her. But she wasn’t scared during any of it. She remembered that there was a woman there that filled her mind with thoughts that everything was going to be ok. That they weren’t here to harm her. That they need her help.

“Nancy are you ok?”
“Diane I remember being abducted years ago.”
“What are you talking about?”
“I remember my abduction. I remember what they did to me.”
“What did they do to you?”
“They did some test and took some of my DNA. They said it was because they needed my help. That I wouldn’t be harmed.”
“Nancy you know some people would say that you are crazy.”
“Diane I’m not the one who adopted an alien King and Princess.”
“I said some people. Not me. I know how sane you are. But you could always talk to Brody Davis at the UFO Center when we get home.”
“Funny Diane. Except he was used as a alien cell phone.”
“True.”
“Diane I’m worried about the kids.”
“So am I. But I know that they can take care of themselves.”
“True. Besides they are good at keeping secrets.”
“How were we so clueless as to what the kids were doing for three years?”
“Because they wanted to protect us.”
“Nancy you want to know something?”
“What?”
“I always liked Liz. When Max first started to date her I thought that she was the best thing for him. He was happier than I had ever seen him.”
“You know I never told Jeff about Liz sneaking out to see Max after they were arrested in Utah.”
“Why?”
“Because I felt that Jeff was not only punishing her for her mistakes but his own when he was younger.”
“What was Jeff Parker like when he was younger?”
“A hellion. He did drugs and drank and everything that a girl’s parents would hate in a guy. He paid the price for those choices. He had a girlfriend before me. She was killed in a car accident. He never fully recovered from it. He was once a poet. He hasn’t written since that night. But I know he still has it in his soul.”
“I would have never known that about Jeff.”
“Not many do. It wasn’t until after Liz almost when to jail that I told her.”
“Liz has a big heart.”
“I know. She was always closer to her father and his mother than me. I use to get jealous when Claudia came to visit and she would get Liz to open up in a way she never would with me.”
“Nancy did you like to talk to your mother about your love life when you were a teenager?”
“I guess your right.”
“Isabel would get the same way sometimes.”
“I guess all teenager do.”
“All we can do is hope that they end up with teenagers one day that are just like them.”
“We can hope.”

The two women talked more before both drifting back off into a restless sleep.

Liz stood by a window watching the stars past by. She never thought that she would be on an alien
Spaceship flying through space. She was lost in thought and didn’t hear Serena come up behind her.

“Liz are you ok?”
“Serena! Uh yeah.”
“Still trying to deal with the fact that I’m your sister in a way?”
“Well if my mom knew about you weather she raised you or not since you share her DNA you are her daughter and there for my sister.”
“You dealing ok?”
“Sure why not. I wasn’t that surprised. Think about it five years ago I got shot and healed by alien and feel in love in less than a week.”
“Max really did get you head over heels fast. Not that it hurt that you already had that crush on him. Yeah you freaked a little at the fact he was an alien. But you protected him when someone else would have gone to Valenti and told him the truth about Max.”
“Serena?”
“Yeah?”
“You could have tried to become my friend when you were watching me.”
“I know. I was scared of what you would think of me.”
“Serena I don’t know what to think of you. Future Max said that you would be a friend of mine. But I thought that changed when I changed events that lead to his future.”
“Liz when that future you came to me I changed things so that we would meet at some point. I risked so much to save Alex’s life. And the thing is I didn’t know why I was doing it at the time other than it would make you happy one day. It wasn’t until he started to visit Isabel as a ghost that I realized that it wasn’t just for you. It was for me too. I saw into his soul and I had fallen in love with him.”
“Just don’t hurt him. I have seen him hurt before by love and don’t want that to happen again.”
“I promise Liz I won’t hurt him. He means too much to me to do that.”
“Serena I know you won’t hurt him on purpose but there is a saying on Earth you always hurt the ones you love the most. I know there were times I hurt Max and there were times that he hurt me.”
“Liz true but the thing is I want to spend the rest of my life with Alex. He makes me laugh and is so sweet to me.”
“I know he is the kind of guy every mother dreams of for her little girl.”
“Yeah. Liz are you sure that your ok?”
“Why won’t I be?”
“Liz when I am a round you I get this feeling that something is different about you.”
“What do you mean?”
“It’s hard to explain. But there is something different. Like part of you has changed.”
“Do you know what it is?”
“I have an idea. But to be sure I would have to connect with you.”
“Tell me what you think it is.”

Serena bit her lip. She knew that she should tell Liz what she thought it was but wasn’t sure how Liz would take it.

“Serena.”
“Ok. Liz I think that you might be pregnant.”
“Pregnant?”
“There is a way for me to find out for sure. I connect with you and see if there is more then one heart beat.”
“I don’t know.”
“Liz I promise that I will never dig into your thoughts. I will only know what you want me to know.”
“Ok. I guess this is the best way to find out.”
“It won’t hurt.”

Serena took a deep breath and placed a hand on Liz’s stomach. It didn’t take long before she was connected. Knew that she was right. Liz was pregnant. With not just one but two. After a minute she broke the connection and looked at Liz.

“So am I?”
“Yes. With twins.”
“Twins?”
“I found three heart beats. Yours and two others.”
“Wow.”
“Are you ok with this?”
“Yeah. Just a little surprised.”
“Don’t worry you will be fine.”
“That’s easy for you to say. Your not the one who is going to have twins.”
“Look at me Liz. There is nothing to be scared of. I know that this is a dream come true for Max. But I will be honest it puts you in a lot of danger from Kivar. If he finds out that you are pregnant he will want you.”
“Gee just what I always wanted in life. To be hunted down by an alien power freak.”
“Don’t worry Kivar has to go through me first. I’m not going to let anything happen to my little sister.”
“Oh and if he kills you what do I do? Try and send him flying across the room and run?”
“Yeah.”
“Oh the things to look forward too.”
“You should get some sleep.”
“Yeah I know.”
“Liz don’t worry. Max and Isabel’s mother is looking out for your parents and the Evans.”
“I’ll try and not to worry too much.”
“Good. Now get to bed.”
“Night Rena.”
“Night Lizzie.”

Part 12

Alex was waiting for Serena when she returned to their room

“What’s on your mind?”
“Alex there is a little problem.”
“What do you mean?”
“Liz is pregnant. With twins.”
“What?”
“Alex this changes everything. If Kivar gets Liz we will be in deep shit.”
“Really? I hadn’t thought about that. Serena you are the only one that can keep Kivar from getting his slimy hands on her. I wouldn’t want my worse enemy to fall into Kivar’s hands. Wait a minute she did and Max’s son was almost killed.”
“I know. Alex you know that Liz is stubborn and that is going to be a hard task.”
“Rena you are the only one that can do it. You’re just as stubborn as Liz is. I know that. Rena I love you but you can drive me crazy sometimes.”
“Alex I don’t mean too. It’s just that I don’t want anything to happen to Liz. I know that you think that I was crazy to wait this long to come into Liz’s life. If I hadn’t waited this long than maybe you wouldn’t have had to pretended to be dead for so long.”
“Your right about that. But I wouldn’t change how you came into my life. You made me see what I really felt for Isabel was lust, not love. You are the one that I love. The only one that I have ever really loved.”
“Alex you mean that?”

Liz walked into her room to find Max waiting for her.

“Where did you go?”
“Just for a walk. I needed to think.”
“You ok?”
“Yeah. Max there is something I should tell you.”
“What is it?”
“Serena just told me that I’m pregnant.”
“We’re going to have a baby?”
“We’re going to have twins. As in two babies.”
“Are you sure?”
“That is what Serena said.”
“Wow.”
“Max are you ok?”
“Yeah I think so.”
“Max you know we have to be really careful. For some reason I know that if Kivar gets his hands on either of our children that Antar and Earth will both be doomed.”
“Liz you know I will die before I let him hurt you or our children. I would do anything for you.”
“I know.”
“Do you trust Serena?”
“Yes.”
“Liz you hardly know her.”
“Max trust me we can trust her. She knows if she doesn’t anything to betray us she will be in deep shit.”
“Alex seems to really like her.”
“He does. How does Isabel feel about that?”
“She’s ok with it. Right now she is just happy that she is back with Jesse.”
“She does seem happier.”
“Liz I don’t want you to worry about your parents I am going to do everything I can to find them.”
“Max I want you to promise me that you will be careful. I don’t want to lose you.”
“Liz I promise that I will try and be careful.”
“Don’t make me get Michael on you. Max you are going to be a father. I don’t want our kids to grow up without their father. Understand?”
“Yes. Liz you know some people would say that you have me whipped.”
“I don’t care. You are my whipped alien King.”

Kyle sat in the dinning hall of the ship early the next morning when he saw someone sit down across from him. He smiled when he saw that it was Ava.

“Yo.” said Ava
“Hey Ava.”
“So you ok with this going to another planet thing?”
“Sure why not?”
“Cause it’s weird.”
“Oh I’ll tell you what is weird. Its thinking that one was your buddies is killed by a blond bitch that was living in your house and he turns out to be alive. Now that is weird.”
“Good point.”
“So where did you go after leaving Roswell?”
“All over. Stayed the hell away from Lonnie and Rath. They woulda killed me for telling them the ones who killed Zan.”
“Lonnie and Rath are Isabel and Michael’s dupes right?”
“Yep. Zan was Max’s. Tess was mine. But I ain’t nothing like that dupe of mine. If I was think Liz would have let me sleep on the sofa when Max was in New York with Lonnie, Rath and Tess?”
“Good point. I hear you are the one that told Liz that Max changed her when he healed her. How did you know?”
“I knew that if we used our powers on humans that it could do stuff to them. Healing actives the part of the brain you humans don’t use. Mind warps rot the brain. Not to sure what repeated dreamwalks do. But they have to do something.”
“So why did you come back?”
“Cause Rena told me if I didn’t than Liz could end up dead. I didn’t want that to happen she was the first person who ever was nice to me. I felt like I had to be here for her now. She and Whitless found me outside of Detroit back in ‘02. They kinda save me from getting run over by a crowed as they poured into the streets. That hockey team there the Red Wings I think just won the championship or something.”
“They had just won their third Stanly Cup. I watched some of those games.”
“You like all sports do ya?”
“Yeah.”
“Kyle you know you are kinda cute.”
“Well so are you.”
“Buddha boy.”
“Freak.”

“Are we interpreting something?” asked Isabel
“No.” said Ava and Kyle together.
“You know I think that the two of you are perfect for each other.” said Jesse

“Careful what you say Buddha boy. You know I can hurt you.” said Isabel
“Oh I am so scared! This is coming from the girl who likes to stay home on new years and watch Rudolph’s Shiny New Year.” said Kyle
“Kyle I would very careful. You know Isabel might decided to give you nightmares for life if you aren’t.” said Jesse
“He’s right. Someone pissed Lonnie off once and the poor guy didn’t sleep for two months.” said Ava
“Isabel wouldn’t do that.” said Kyle
“You want to press your luck? Keep talking about me like you are and you will find out.” said Isabel
“Maybe I’ll go and see if there is anything I can do to help keep the ship going.” said Kyle taking off.
“So Ava what is my psycho dupe up to these days?” asked Isabel
“Your guess is as good as mine. Ain’t seen her in a while. Then again she not to happy that I spilled my guts to you guys about her and Rath killing Zan.” said Ava
“Are you scared of them or something?” asked Isabel
“Hell yeah. Lonnie basically said that she would kill me more than once. I ain’t in any hurry to see her or Rath again.”
“Isabel we should go get something to eat. We will see you later Ava.” said Jesse
“Later.” said Ava

Isabel and Jesse when to get their breakfast and Ava when back to her room.

Part 14

Philip Evans sat in the cold dark cell he shared with Jeff Parker. He knew that Max and the others would come for them. But he wasn’t sure that he wanted them too. This was an alien mad man. Kivar was willing to kill whoever he had too to get what he wanted. Philip knew that Kivar wanted Max dead. That he Jeff, Nancy and Diane were just bait to bring the kids here.

“Philip do you think that Diane and Nancy are ok?” asked Jeff
“Jeff we would know if Kivar killed them. He would tell us.”
“Philip I want to go home but I also want Liz to stay far away from this mad man as possible.”
“Liz isn’t helpless Jeff. She can take care of herself and you know Max would die before he let anything happen to her.”
“I know. I miss judged him after they were arrested in Utah.”
“Jeff I don’t blame you. Liz didn’t start lying to you until after she got involved in Max and Isabel’s lives.”
“But if not for Max Lizzie would be dead.”
“I always knew that Max and Isabel was hiding something but I never dreamed that they were aliens.”
“Well it is Roswell that we live in. An alien or two running around isn’t all that surprising to me.”
“Who would have thought that the Government really did cover up a crash in 1947.”
“Makes you wonder what else they are hiding from us.”
“Does make you wonder.”
“Philip I wish that the kids had told us the truth years ago.”
“Jeff they wanted to keep us safe. Besides they didn’t know who to trust. You read Liz’s journal. Jim was out to find out the truth there for a while. But then he realized that instead of hunting them he should be protecting them. It cost him his job trying to keep them all safe.”
“True. Philip I just wish that Jim had told us what was really going on with our kids. Then maybe it wouldn’t be so bad for them.”
“There is no way to know that now. Let’s just pray that when they come for us they are very careful.”
“I don’t want anything to happen to any of them.”
“Neither do I.”

Serena sat by one of the windows watching the stars go by. She knew that they were still days away from Antar. Kivar had other ways to leave and bring people to Antar. But this ship was the only way the rebels could. She was just glad that they were in no danger of crashing. She tried to act like this was no big deal around Liz. But the fact was she hated to fly. But there is only one person knew and he would never tell anyone.

“Rena you know you could talk to Liz about this fear of flying of yours.”
“Alex there is no way I am going to tell her that I’m scared of flying. Not when I told her that it was no big deal.”
“But you are scared of flying. Liz will understand that.”
“But she will wonder why I said it was no big deal then. I don’t want to have to explain that I only said that because I was trying to keep myself calm as well as her.”
“Yes you could have Serena. It may have been three years but Alex still knows me. If you had told me that you were just as scared, as I am to fly then I would have felt better. But you know it would have made you feel better too.” said Liz softly
“Have you been there the whole time?” asked Serena
“Yes. I asked Alex not to say anything about me being with him. I just wanted to try and see if I could tell how you were feeling.”
“I’m going to leave you ladies to talk.” said Alex

Alex walked off and Liz and Serena just stared at each other.

“So why are you scared to fly?” asked Liz
“I wasn’t in Roswell all the time watching you. I when to New York a couple of times to see what Lonnie and Rath were up to. I was there on September 11th. I watched as the planes hit the World Trade Center. I was going to go there later that day. I haven’t been able to fly well since.”
“If you had been in the World Trade Center when that happened you would have been killed.”
“Yes. Liz I wanted to help those people. But I was scared. I never dreamt that anyone could do something like that.”
“No one could. When I saw the news I couldn’t believe it. I mean how could anyone fly a plane into a building. But I have always been scared to fly. It was nothing to do with September 11th. But it may have made it bigger. But I know I can’t live my life in fear. Neither can you. Talking about your fears will help you deal with them. If you keep everything bottled up it will eat away at you until there is nothing left. I learned that when I didn’t tell Max the truth about what really happened with Kyle.”
“You felt better after you told him?”
“Yes. It was like this weight was lifted off my shoulders. Serena if you don’t want to talk about your fears with me then do it with Alex or someone else. It won’t eat away at you if you do.”
“I’ll think about it.”
“Serena you know you could have gotten this fear of flying from mom. I remember this time she and dad had to go to something in Boston and dad had to give her a sleeping pill to keep her from freaking out on the flight. I took one when I when to Florida. It helped because I slept through the whole flight. But I know that it won’t work here.”
“I guess I will just have to get over this sooner or later.”
“Yeah. But I’ll tell you something the more times you fly the easier it will be. I’m not as scared as I use to be but I know that it will take time to get over the fear. But the more I face it the easier it has become.”
“Thanks Liz.”
“Glad to help.”
“Alex always told me that you were a great listener as well as being smart. Now I know for myself.”
“Anytime.”

Liz gave Serena a hug and then when to find Max.

“Nicholas what do you mean you don’t know where that half bread bitch is?”
“Sir I was following Serena like you said, and last night she and the others just disappeared.”
“Find her!”
“Sir I found out that a ship was spotted leaving Earth.”
“Damn it. That bitch is bringing them here!”
“Sir what do you want me to do?”
“There is nothing we can do until they reach the planet. Well my plan worked those stupid human parents of theirs were just the right bait I needed to bring them here to kill.”
“Sir they still have friends left on Earth.”
“I know. This is what you are to do. You are to get that blond bitch’s mother and bring her to Antar and I will take care of them after they get here.”
“Sir how do I get the woman to Antar?”
“Let me know when you have her and I will open the portal. I will find out what the woman knows and be ready for Max and his little friends.”
“What are you going to do to Serena when you get your hands on her?”
“Make sure she dies a slow painful death. She has gotten in the way for the last time. I don’t give a damn who her father was.”
“Sir you know she is strong.”
“Nicholas I don’t give a damn how strong of a bitch she is. She is going to die and so is her brother.”
“Michael isn’t going to let you kill her with out a fight.”
“I know that. But he is a wimp. That blond bitch of a human has him wrapped around her little finger. If a human can do that to the once powerful Lord Rath. I should have no problem in taking him out.”
“What about Max’s human girlfriend? She is no wimp. She will do anything for Max.”
“That is why I want her alive. If she wants to live she will be my wife.”
“She won’t do that without a fight.”
“I know her. She will do whatever I want as long as she believes that it will spare the lives of those she loves. That is why humans are so weak. They think with their hearts not with there brains.”
“Sir Max won’t let you near her.”
“Max isn’t going to be a problem. He is going to die. Max will die and I will have that girl for my wife no matter what.”

Grace stayed in her hiding place and listened. This was bad. She knew that she had to find a way to get word to Serena that all of their lives were in danger. But there was no way that she knew of that wouldn’t go unnoticed by Kivar. She was stuck between a rock and a hard place. She knew that Antar would be doomed without the Royal Four and their mates. It would be doomed without Serena and Alex. Grace left her hiding place and headed for the old tunnels that would take her from the palace to the old manor being used as a base.

Part 16

Alex watched as Isabel and Jesse sat staring out at the stars together. He knew he should go and talk to her. But he was scared. But he knew he should follow the advice that Liz gave Serena. To face his fear. That meant that he had to talk to Isabel. He took a deep breath and walked over to Isabel and Jesse.

“Hi.”
“Hey Alex have you met Jesse?” asked Isabel
“Nice to meet you Jesse.” said Alex
“Nice to meet you too Alex.” said Jesse
“Isabel I need to talk to you alone for a few minutes.” said Alex
“Do you mind Jesse?” asked Isabel
“No. I’ll see you later.” said Jesse getting up and leaving

Alex started to pace when he was alone with Isabel.

“What did you want to talk about Alex?”
“Uh well you know it took me a long time to get over you.”
“It took me a while too.”
“Isabel I know how long it took you. I was watching you. I think that Jesse is who you were always meant to be with. He has been good for you.”
“Thanks. You really love Serena don’t you?”
“Yeah. She’s sweet.”
“She said that she is Michael’s sister but you know she reminds me more of Liz than Michael.”
“Uh yeah. Well you see she didn’t tell you everything. Michael is her half brother. They have the same father. But she is also Liz’s half sister. Liz’s mother is also Serena’s mother. Liz just found out before we left.”
“When did you find out?”
“A while ago. Isabel you know Serena and I were following you guys the whole time you were on the road.”
“Why was Serena watching Liz?”
“Because there is more to this then you all know. In fact that translation of the Destiny book that Liz, Michael and Maria found isn’t the real translation. Yes how to work the granalith was right. But most of the rest is bull. Serena switched it before they found it.”
“So what did it really say?”
“Serena is planing on telling everyone later today. It will explain why it’s eight and not ten. It tells you why each of you had to find your other half. Why you have to be with a human. Tess was wrong you were never meant to be with Michael. Max was never meant to be Tess. It’s a lot to take in. I was shocked when I first found out. Well when I could think straight again anyway.”
“Alex are you happy?”
“Yes. Very. Isabel, you were my first love. But Serena is my soulmate. I love her with all my heart.”
“I’m glad that you found her.”
“It’s good to see you so happy.”
“You too. Alex I missed you.”
“Missed you too. But for you to find Jesse I had to get you to leave me in the past.”
“You were really there weren’t you? Helping me weren’t you?”
“Yes. One of the powers I got is like the one Liz and you used to reach Max in New York. Only I can talk. But you were the only one I could do it with.”
“Why?”
“I don’t know. Serena might know. But getting her to tell me might be hard. She doesn’t like to talk about the relationship that we had. Sometimes I think she is unsure of my feelings for her.”
“Do you tell her how you feel?”
“All the time. She has even seen part of me that no one else has seen. She has seen into my soul.”
“Alex that is great. Maybe you should do something that will make her believe what she knows you feel for her.”
“Are you saying I should ask her to marry me?”
“Do you want to marry her?”
“Yeah sure one day.”
“Then you know what you have to do. Set her mind at ease.”
“Thanks Isabel.”
“No problem. Now I need to get back to my husband.”

Isabel left and Alex was alone with his thoughts.

Part 17

Serena was reading over the destiny book translation in the room that she shared with Alex when he walked in. She noticed that he was acting strange even for him.

“Alex is there something on your mine?”
“Serena you know I love you right?”
“Yeah. Why do you ask?”
“Serena I know that you think you will lose me to someone else.”
“Alex you know that I hate when you read my thoughts.”
“I didn’t. Rena I see you in a way that no one else can. I know just by looking at you what you feel. I know that you think that you aren’t good enough for me. That because Isabel was my first love that there is no way that you can compare to her. That she is more beautiful than you are. But you are wrong. Yes Isabel is beautiful. But you have a different kind of beauty. Serena you have this inner beauty that I have never seen in anyone else.”
“Alex does this have a point?”
“Yes.”
“What is it?”
“Serena what I am trying to say is that, I love you with all my heart and soul. Rena will you make me the happiest man on any planet and become my wife?”
“Did you just ask me to marry you?”
“Yes Serena will you marry me?”
“You mean it?”
“Yes. Serena I want to spend the rest of my life with you and only you. So will you stop asking me questions and answer mine.”
“Ok. Yes I will marry you. There is something else I should tell you.”
“What is it?”
“I think I’m pregnant.”
“How do we find out for sure?”
“Well we need someone else to connect with me to find out. I would trust Liz to do it.”
“Can Liz do that?”
“Yes. Alex, what I never told you is that when I healed you, when Max healed Liz and Kyle. We kinda change you. We did more than help you to use the part of your brain the rest of humans don’t use. We left part of ourselves in you making you part alien. “
“So what you are saying I am part alien?”
“Yes.”
“Don’t tell Kyle this. He freaked at the idea of getting powers.”
“He has a right to know.”
“I know. But I think we better take it slow. We don’t need him to freak and lose control of his powers.”
“True.”
“Now darling why are our powers so different?”
“Well part of it has to do with who you are. Your powers are determined by the kind of personality that you have. The reason that both Max and I can heal is that we have protector personality. I want to keep Liz safe as does Max. Then there is also the fact that Max is the rightful King. Isabel can dreamwalk because she likes to know how the mind works. Michael well he destroys things because he never felt wanted until he fell in love with Maria. Ava’s mindwarp well that comes from the fact that she feels like she is invisible.”
“How do you know these things?”
“I don’t know. I just know how to read people. Alex I think that you can read minds of those you are close to because of the fact you hate being lied to. That when Liz and Maria didn’t tell you the truth for so long that Max, Michael and Isabel were aliens it hurt and you never wanted to be left in the dark again. Kyle well I have no clue what he can do. I haven’t seen his yet. But I do know that they maybe a long the line of being a peacekeeper. I could be wrong. But with the fact that he is a Buddhist that is the most likely possibility.”
“Oh I’m sure that is going to go over well with him. Rena I never want you to doubt what I feel for you. You know me like no one else. You know things about me that not even Liz or Maria know and they are my best friends.”
“Alex I don’t like to feel this way. It’s just that Isabel is so beautiful I can’t help it.”
“Serena you are beautiful. I don’t want you to ever forget that.”
“Thanks Alex I know you won’t let me forget it.”

Alex gave Serena a passionate kiss then they climbed into bed together.

Part 18

Later that day everyone was sitting in the dinning hall when Serena walked in with a stack of papers and dropped them on one of the tables. Max looked at her and could tell that there was something up.

“I have something to say to all of you. What you believe the destiny book said is bullshit. Other than the stuff on the granalith what you know is a lie. Before you ask I switch it so that Tess wouldn’t find out the truth.” said Serena
“So what is the truth?” asked Max
“That truth is you were never destined to be with Tess. You were sent here to find your true soulmate. The Royal four were always meant to be with humans.”
“I don’t understand why did Tess want us only with our own kind then?”
“Well other than the fact she was part of a deal to bring you all back to Antar so that Kivar could kill you. If you weren’t with your soulmate than you would be easier to control. But she never counted on the fact that Max would have to save Liz’s life. There for bringing your soulmates into your lives. It also came to an end when future Max came back. But it worked out the way it should have.”
“Serena I don’t get it why are we humans imported?” asked Maria
“Maria you help them become whole. To help Max, Michael, Isabel and Ava to not only to learn about their alien side but their human as well. Without their human side they would never be able to save Antar. They need both to be complete.”
“So what you are saying is that I was always going to end up with this Pixie?” asked Michael
“Only if you excepted that you had a human side. Tess tried to keep that from happing.”
“Serena I have been thinking. Why is it the Royal eight now? Why are you and Alex only advisers?” asked Liz
“Uh well the thing is. It has to do with the fact that there can be no more than six members of the King and Queen’s court. There is a law or something. Besides as they say on Earth I am a test tube kid. I never existed in anyway before then. The Royal four did. And as for you humans you came about under normal human methods and since Alex is my soulmate he can’t be considered a Royal.”
“That is so unfair. I mean we wouldn’t know what we do now without you Serena.” said Isabel
“I know but it’s a fact of my life. I knew that as long as the laws stay the way that they are I will never be seen as anything other than a thing made in a lab by most of the people of Antar.”
“Serena you know we don’t see you that way.” said Liz
“I know.”
“Serena you said before that you are Michael’s sister.” said Maria
“Well I should say half sister. I share the same father as Michael did when he was Rath. But my mother is human. In fact all of you have met her.”
“Who is your mother?” asked Michael
“Nancy Parker.”
“Why didn’t you tell us?” asked Max
“I told Liz before we left. I know that I shouldn’t keep things from any of you. But as Alex can tell you I like to keep a lot of things to myself. Max I didn’t think that it was imported. That is the main reason I didn’t say anything.”
“So are you going to stop hiding from me and let me get to know you Serena?” asked Michael
“Serena I think it might be a good idea. When Space boy gets his mind set on something there is no changing it.” said Maria
“Michael I don’t know.”
“Serena get to know Michael. Who knows maybe you will find that you like him.” said Alex
“Ok sure.”
“Good we will talk later.” said Michael
“Can’t wait.” Serena mumbled

Liz could see that something was bothering Serena but couldn’t tell what. She would have to remember to talk to her later.

“What’s on your mind?” asked Max softly
“Serena. There is something that she isn’t telling. Something that might be imported.”
“Your going to talk to her later aren’t you?”
“I have too Max. I know that she doesn’t like to talk about herself. But she can’t keep secrets from us if she wants us to trust her.”
“You’re still upset that she kept Alex from you for three years aren’t you?”
“Max I can deal with that. If not for her Alex would be dead. I can’t hate her for saving his life. Max she is my sister. Weather I like it or not I have to try and trust her.”
“Is there something that makes you think that you can’t?”
“Not sure. Max she knows something that she isn’t saying. Something about Kivar I’m sure of it.”
“You are going to have to let her tell you in her own time. I know that it is going to be hard. But there is something about her that makes me want to trust her.”
“I hope that you are right.”
“You trust her. Or else you wouldn’t have let her connect with you.”
“Right.”

Serena could tell that Liz was talking to Max about her. That Liz still had some doubts about trusting her. Not that she blamed her. But she couldn’t let Liz too close yet not when there was still danger that Kivar would kill everyone on this ship.
“Ok I think that’s all you need to know for now.” said Serena

Everyone started to head out except for Michael.

“Michael we will talk in a few minutes. Liz wait! I need you to help me for a minute.”
“What is it?” asked Liz
“Uh remember when I asked you to let me connect with you?”
“Yeah why?”
“I need you to connect with me. I need to know if what I think is going on with me is true.”
“What are you talking about?”
“I think I might be pregnant. I need you to connect and see if it’s true.”
“Why me?”
“Because I trust you and I think that Michael would want to kill Alex if he is the first to find out.”
“Ok. Just tell me how to do it.”

Serena told Liz how to open the connection and Liz soon found the answer to Serena’s question. Liz couldn’t help but smile at the thought that her children were going to have a cousin their own age to play with. Liz broke the connection and Serena looked at her.

“Well?”
“I hope my best friend is planning on making an honest woman out of you.”
“Are you saying that I’m right?”
“Yes.”
“Wow. I’m going to be a mother!”
“So is Alex going to marry you?”
“Yes. He asked me earlier.”
“That’s great.”
“Thanks. Now I better go talk to that brother of mine.”
“Yeah that would be a good idea. See you later Rena.”

Serena watched as Liz walked off then turned to face Michael who was just watching her.

“Time to talk.” said Michael
“Yeah I guess.”

Part 19

Nicholas watched as the woman locked the door of the small gift shop filled with alien theme items. He knew that he didn’t have much time he had to act now or he wouldn’t get her today. He came up behind her and grabbed her.

“Let go of me you little runt!”
“Shut up bitch or I will kill you. God now I know where that bitch of Michael’s gets her mouth.”
“Let go of me you monster!”
“Now, now monster is such a mean word. Just shut up and you may live to see your kid grow up. If not than I know Kivar will kill you.”
“Let go of me!”

Nicholas slapped her.

“Let go of me now runt or Michael will blow you away!”
“Gee Amy that would only work if he was on this planet. I know he is somewhere in space right now. In a very short time you will be on Antar.”
“Like hell I’m going to another planet.”
“You don’t have a choice you stupid bitch.”

Nicholas slapped Amy again and pulled out a communicator and pressed a button.

“Sir it’s Nicholas. I have the woman.”
“Good. I will open the portal and bring you and the woman here.”

A moment later a portal opened and Nicholas pulled Amy through with him. When Amy looked up she saw a man the stood over six feet tall with dirty blond hair and cold blue eyes. He smiled evilly at her.

“Who the hell are you?” asked Amy
“Amy I am Kivar Lord and King of Antar. Welcome to my home.” said Kivar
“Oh my god! I’m on an alien planet!.” said Amy fainting.
“Take her to the prison.”
“Yes my Lord.”
“And Nicholas good job.”
“Thank you sir.”

Nicholas dragged Amy down to the prison and locked her in the cell across from the other human women.

Jim Valenti walked to Amy’s shop and fond it locked and empty. It was strange for this time a day. He when over to the Jetta parked in front of the store and found Amy’s purse on the ground next to it. He knew that there was no use in looking for her. Amy woke with a groan.

“Amy are you ok?” asked Nancy looking at her friend.
“God this has to be a nightmare.” said Amy
“If it is then we are sharing it with you.” said Diane
“Nancy, Diane are you ok?” asked Amy
“As well as we can be. How about you?” asked Nancy
“Been better.”
“I bet.” said Diane
“Oh the kids are on a ship on their way here to save you.”
“How do they know where we are?” asked Nancy
“Liz had a vision of trouble in Roswell. So they came back to town.”
“How are they?” asked Diane
“They seem to be doing well. Oh and get this Alex Whitman is alive.”
“So we hear. How did he look?” asked Nancy
“Good for someone who I thought was dead for the past three years. Nancy you seem to be taking all of this rather well.”
“Amy. There is something you should know. I was abducted years ago.”
“What!”
“It was before Liz was born other than Diane you are the only one that I have told. I didn’t remember it until I got here.” said Nancy
“Ok this is really hard to deal with.”
“Amy you know that the kids will save us and we will all return to our normal lives in Roswell.” said Diane
“You are calling Roswell normal?” asked Nancy
“Well it’s normal to us.” said Amy
“True. I just hope that the kids are careful.” said Diane
“They will be.” said Nancy

They talked some more and said prayers that their kids were safe.
Part 20

Michael watched as Serena walked into the kitchen of the ship.

“Hey I thought we were going to talk!”
“We are Michael. I don’t know about you. But I am hungry. You want anything?”
“What are you having?”
“Just some ice cream and a coke.”
“Sounds good but make mine a cherry coke.”
“Coming up.”
“Oh and don’t forget the Tobasco sauce.”
“Why would I?”

A couple of minutes later Serena walked back out with a try that had two glasses and two bowls of ice cream as well as a large bottle of Tobasco sauce. She sat down at a table with Michael and poured some Tobasco on her ice cream and in her coke before giving the bottle to Michael.

“So what do you want to know?” asked Serena
“Did you know our father?”
“No he died before I came out of my pod. But I do know your mother.”
“Is she still alive?”
“As of when I left Antar she was.”
“What is she like?”
“A brave and very sweet woman. She is the one that trained me.”
“Serena you had to have known that I wanted a family why did you stay away for so long?”
“Michael I was told to tell no one that I was there. I thought that maybe if I stayed away then everything would have been better. But I was wrong. I wish now that I had stopped Hank when I had a chance.”
“You had a chance to stop him?”
“I had a chance to kill him when you were fifteen. But I didn’t. Maybe I should have killed him then but I didn’t. Michael I don’t like to kill if I don’t have too. But if it come down to kill of be killed I will kill.”
“Serena do you really love Alex?”
“Yes. As much as you love Maria.”
“Do you know when I fell in love with Maria?”
“Wasn’t that when you kidnapped her and stole the Jetta to go down to Marathon Texas?”
“Yeah.”
“Michael you were right to trust Agent Topolsky when she came back to Roswell. She really did want to help you.”
“I got that idea.”
“So want to know anything else?”
“Uh what do you know about who I was on Antar?”
“Not too much. Michael you may have Rath in you. But you are a different person than he was. From what I hear is he was a hot head kinda like you. But he could be very sweet and caring person too.”
“Really?”
“Michael you have to understand the who you are is not just based on who your parents are but the environment that you grow up in too.”
“So are you saying that just because Hank was an ass to me that I could be an ass too?”
“No Michael you will never be anything like Hank. If you were anything like Hank you wouldn’t have given a damn when Laurie Dupree needed help. You wouldn’t have come back to save your friends lives when the Special Unit was going to kill them in cold blood during Graduation. I know in my heart that when you become a father you will be a kind and loving father. Hank may have shown you how not to be a father, but Philip Evans, Jeff Parker and Jim Valenti did show you how a good father acts. If you keep them in mind then you will be fine and if you need help I know any of them will help you.”
“You know Serena you’re kinda smart.”
“Thanks.”
“I notice that sometimes Alex and Ava call you Rena. I was wondering if it would be ok for me to do that too.”
“Michael I would love to have my brother call me Rena.”

Michael stood up and walked over to her and gave her a hug. Serena was surprised by the move, but soon found herself returning it. When Michael pulled away she could see a slight smile on his face. She couldn’t help but return it.

“By the way what was that thing with Liz about?”
“Uh well I really should tell Alex this first but I guess I can tell you. I’m pregnant.”
“Really?”
“Yeah.”
“That’s great.”
“Thanks.”
“I know that we are still getting to know each other. But I know you will make a great mother.”
“You really think so?”
“Yeah. Your smart and caring.”
“I should go see what Maria is up to. You know if I leave her alone too long she can get in trouble.”
“Ok. See you later bro.”
“Later sis.”
