Part 66
The silence was broken by Philip Evans. "So how can we get you coronated to be King here?"
It was the first most question on all of their minds. They weren't on Antar, there was no one here on Earth that could perform a ceremony that could crown Max as the true King of Antar. The thought that someone would more then likely try to murder his son so that individual could take his place by Liz's side and become King was to awful to think about. There had to be a way around this predicament.
Max gave his father a slight nod, thanking him for his concern. He felt Liz squeeze his hand, letting him know she already understood what was going to happen. He squeezed her hand right back, the two of them turned instantly to each other and everyone in the room saw the silent communication the two of them were sharing. It was creepy, yet beautiful to watch. Even Jeff Parker had to admit Max and Liz were special and together they were a sight to be hold. Finally Max turned around to Garock who was still remained standing by the door. "The Queen Mother." It was a question that came out in more of a statement.
With a bow of his head, Max and Liz knew they were right. That was the reason Max's real mother would make the journey to Earth. To ensure Max was crowned the rightful King and that he and Liz could be married as King and Queen properly. In doing so, they would then have all the power and protection of the Granolith. Once they were married as King and Queen, no matter if their enemies were to attempt Max's life, Liz would still have the title and just like the Queen Mother herself, would always be known as Queen. The heir in her womb would ensure that.
Once Garock confirmed what Max was assuming, he turned back to Richard Mannero. "I will be expecting additional guests to be arriving here within the next twenty-four hours. Two will need rooms, other's I'm not sure of at the moment."
Richard nodded his head in understanding. Knowing the story had been completed he a rose from his seat. With an arm stretched outward to Max, the two men shook in agreement. "The luncheon will be ready in a few hours time, in the mean time I hope everyone here as a pleasant stay." With that the secretary of defense left the room.
Now that the individual was gone that Michael hadn't had a chance to learn to trust as of yet, he approached Max. "Who all are you expecting?"
Smiling at his best friend, knowing some things were never going to change. "Michael, I suspect Langley will show and Brody."
This last name surprised both Michael and Maria. "Brody?" Maria questioned his name before Max and Liz could have a chance to explain.
"Actually it will be Larek in Brody's body. How do you think we got Brody to cover for the light show?" Liz stepped up and answered her best friend.
Light bulbs were going off by several individuals in the room while most of the adults were in the dark. Max quickly explained who Larek was and why Brody was expected, or at least his body. Max could see Michael wanting to question how he had managed to contact Larek, so before he had the chance to ask, Max simple stated. "The light, Michael." Placing his hand upon Liz's stomach to emphasize his meaning. He then turned to the rest of the group. "I know we've been through quite a bit in the last few days and I suspect more is to come. We have a few hours before we need to meet up with everyone, I suggest we use the next few hours to rest." When he had touched Liz's stomach he had felt her how exhausted she was.
So far, Liz had kept how tired she was growing a secret so she wouldn't cause Max to worry about her any more then he already was, but as connected as they were no matter how much she had wanted to keep her exhaustion a secret there was no hiding it when they touched. Originally Max was going to say they should continue to make plans, but once he knew the way Liz was feeling, she became his top priority. Knowing she wouldn't rest unless he did, he immediately changed his plans and suggested everyone get some rest. "But, Maxwell, I think...."
"Michael, we need to rest. All of us." He looked directly at everyone in the room as he said this and one by one they all agreed by giving a nod of their heads and one by one they began to leave the room. Once all his friends and family were gone, Max turned to Garock.
But, before he could say or do anything, Garock stated. "I will sleep after the wedding. If you need anything, I will be right outside the door." With that the alien protector stepped out of the room leaving Max and Liz alone finally.
"You should have told me." Was Max's first words out of his mouth. They weren't said in an accusing voice, but one of concern for her well being.
Understanding immediately what he was saying, she nodded her head in agreement, then admitted. "I didn't even realize how tired I was becoming until just a few moments ago myself, it kind of crept up on me."
Nodding his head in acceptance he didn't hesitate in his actions, picking her up in a sweeping motion he walked over to the bed and laid her gently upon it. Kissing her forehead, eyes, nose, then briefly touching his lips to hers for a tender sweet kiss. "Rest now, my love. I'll be here with you." He whispered as his hand caressed her cheek.
Liz could feel the suggestion in her mind, not a command like before when he had used his mind command power, but a suggestion that made her want to rest. "Max?"
"Please. For now, let me take care of you." He knew she knew he had used a touch of his power, not commanding, but more of a suggestion to ensure she got the much needed rest that her body needed. After all she was now carrying his child and it was his responsibility to ensure she stay healthy. He knew she hadn't lied when she had stated she hadn't realized how tired she had become. They were so well connected he was positive if she had really felt tired before, he would have felt it himself. It didn't take Liz but a few moments to fell asleep while Max laid next to her, watching her and cherishing the precious moments he had to himself with her. With him exposing himself to the world or at least the government, he knew their time for them alone would be far and few between and he was determined to make the most of it when they were granted the opportunity.
He held her close, letting her know that she was loved and protected even in her sleep. She was his angel and he would do anything to ensure that she was safe and happy. It was only about an hour later that she stirred next to him. Not completely awake, yet not still asleep. She moved her body to snuggle even closer to his, her hands moving suggestively over his chest, down his trim stomach and onward to his growing erection. Her dreams had been of Max making love to her and as she began to awake her body was eager to have what her mind had dreamed of while she had slept. Even though she wasn't complete awake, her body was in motion to obtain what it wanted before her mind could think logically. So many things were at stake right now. There was no time to experience the sheer pleasure of Max's body completely. They were expected to attend a luncheon and to answer the government's questions, but she needed Max. She needed his touch, his caresses, she just needed him. Maybe they could share a quick moment to themselves, even if they had never ever been able to just have a quickie during their entire physical relationship. Didn't mean they couldn't at least try to sneak one in now.
Max had felt Liz's need the moment she began to stir. When she began to caress his chest, he had a hard time trying to control his raging need to grab her and have his way with her. But, could they take the chance now. They were due down stairs in less than an hour and as much as he craved to lose himself in Liz, he knew he couldn't. But, as her hands moved down his body, he was slowly losing the battle of control and as her hand began to gently cup his now straining erection, he knew he had to have her. It was apparent by her eager movements that she needed him just as much as he did her. Leaning over he placed a soft kiss upon her lips. "Liz, open your eyes." He whispered against her lips.
Liz didn't want to open her eyes, she didn't want reality to crash back on her and her time with Max alone just yet. She just wanted to feel, to love him and have him love her back completely. Shaking her head no, she whispered back. "Not until your inside me." Knowing good and well that once their bodies were joined, neither would be willing to let go of their moment until they were satisfied.
Max couldn't stop the grin that appeared on his face at her words. Playfully he questioned back. "What if I want to see inside your soul prior to joining our souls?" His hands already removing clothing as he spoke, knowing good and well he was going to obey her request.
Liz had to hide the smile from appearing on her face at Max's question. She loved the fact that she got to see the playful side of Max, unlike most individuals. To most people he was the responsible leader, the one everyone looked to for answers. But, Liz knew Max, knew as much as he took his responsibility seriously, he also longed to just be normal and have some fun every now and then. She felt her clothing being removed with the gentleness he always showered her with and from the way his body was pressed against hers, she could feel Max had already taken care of his own clothing. Especially considering the steel rock hard erection she felt pressed against her thigh. Loving the anticipation of what was to come, but also loving the game they were playing, she continued with it. Once she was completely naked, Liz rolled on her side. Placing her back against his hard chest and snuggling her bottom into his erection, she purred out. "I'm not ready to wake up yet, maybe we should just snuggle instead then." Rubbing her petite behind against his erection one more time to emphasize her words.
This action actually caused a growl to come out of Max's throat. She was a temptress that could seduce him with a look. Make his body come to life with a simple smile and make his entire soul crave her with one taste of her lips. His love for her just couldn't be denied. He brought his arms around her body and pressed her more firmly against him. His hands softly caressing her entire body, from her hair, to her chest and downward. Never stopping at one place for any amount of time, but needing to touch her everyone at once. She owned his soul and as powerful as he was becoming, she was the one and only one that had power over him. When he slipped one finger inside her wetness, causing a delicious moan to escape her own throat, Max stated. "So you just want to snuggle."
Knowing each other's souls, minds and body's, left both of them unable to deny what they really wanted. They could try to play, but the truth was they couldn't hide what either of them wanted even if they wanted to. Knowing she was unable to continue her charade, Liz reached behind her and grasped Max's erection with her small hand. Lightly stroking him, while she lifted her leg up on Max's muscular thigh to allow him better access to her now very wet folds. Bring his head up close and personal to her wet core. Still stroking him, she brought his hardness in contact with her wetness and both of them moaned with anticipation of what they both knew was to come. Then softly Liz whispered. "Yes, let's snuggle."
Removing his finger from inside of her, only to allow the tip of his erection to enter her. His fingers moved to her swollen bundle of nerves and began to softly tease it. He couldn't enter her fully as Liz's hand was still wrapped softly around his hardness preventing him from going any further. But, he wasn't about to complain as he loved the way she was currently touching him. As her hand continued to softly stroke him, his hand followed her rhythm. Stroking her clit with tenderness, as his other hand moved to her breast. Finding her erect nipple, he softly caressed it. Not really grasping it, but just lightly brushing his finger tips around it causing it to tighten to a hard point. His body was becoming harder by the minute with their playing. He was so ready to join with her, wanting and needing her desperately to the point he thought he could cum any minute with just the simplest of touches that they were sharing. "Liz?"
"Yeah, Max." She answered softly. Barely able to find her voice because of the way Max was touching her. So intimately, yet so tenderly. He was driving her crazy with want and need for him to join with her. Even with the tip of his erection inside of her, it wasn't nearly enough to satisfy her body.
"Let me love you, love." He requested in a low husky voice that sent shivers down Liz's spine.
"Please." Was her only reply as she released her hold on him. Without hesitation, Max slid all the way inside of her, while his hands fully cupped her breast and her clit. Reveling in the feel of her body. His lips kissing their way to hers, from her shoulder, up her neck, to her jaw. Knowing exactly what he wanted, she turned her head just enough to grant his silent request and their mouths joined together the same way their bodies were joined, as one.
Once their tongues started to duel, their hips moved together in a sensual rhythm that was made only for them. Sliding in and out of her wetness as her hips moved back to meet his forward thrust. Binding their souls once again together. Their foreplay had brought them to such a state of need, it wasn't long before they both were climaxing in a bliss of pleasure that only increased their need. As in all their other love making experiences, Max hardened immediately and continued to pump his hips. He lifted Liz's leg up so he could swing his body to lay on top of hers as he continued moving in and out of her. His mouth continued to make love to hers as both of his hands came up and stimulated both her breast and nipples. All the while he pumped his erection in and out, up and down. Liz's throaty moans only driving him onward to continue making love to her body.
This was heaven to Max, this was all he had ever wanted in life. To make love to Liz, to be with Liz. Moving at a quicker pace this time, it wasn't long before he felt Liz's inner walls tightening around his thick member. As if milking him into a release of his own and his own body obliged with her body's request. Releasing his seed once more and once again only making his desire for her to grow as his lower anatomy grew hard instantly again. God, he loved making love to her, he loved everything about her, but the way her body made his body come to life over and over again was amazing. He didn't think he would ever be able to fulfill his craving for her and he wasn't even experiencing the craving he had before for her. He just craved her now out of love.
"Yes, Max! YEESSSSssss!" Liz screamed out as another orgasm ripped throughout her body. She loved the way his body moved inside of hers. The way he touched her, loved her so completely. She also loved the way she could feel how his body grew hard inside of her, even after she would milk him dry of his seed. It was an incredible feeling, one she would never grow tired of and one that she prayed would always happen. She knew Max was no longer experiencing the craving like he had before. She thought perhaps that she was now pregnant with his child, he would lose the need to instantly grow hard immediately after he had his own release. That maybe the reason they always had such long love making sessions was due to his alien side kicking in and driving him to first bond with her, then to transform her body, then to impregnate her with his child. But, now he still continued to make love to her time and time again, not because of an alien drive inside of him, but because of his love for her and it took her breath away.
Reading her mind easily as they were so connected as one with their minds, bodies and souls when they made love. Max whispered in her ear. "I'll always crave you. Always. I love you Liz. I'll never stop looovvvving YOUUUUU!" His body climaxing in the middle of his words of love as Liz's body had responded to his words immediately causing his to respond.
His body instantly growing hard again, but instead of continuing their love making. Max held her tightly in his arms as Liz finally opened her eyes. They both knew their time together was about to end and both knew their love life had been opened for too many discussions in the past few days to last a life time. So they remained still, even with their bodies joined and looked lovingly into each other's eyes. I love you, I cherish you, I'm yours forever were the words that were spoken with only their eyes. That's when it happened, something neither of them expected. One of the most intense orgasm either of them had experienced so far in their sexual experience. Not brought on by their physical joining, but because of their love. Their mutual explosion, shocked both of them as neither of them had moved a muscle to bring on such a state of pleasure. Even though their bodies were still joined, they were perfectly still. Just staring deeply into each other's souls.
Amazed beyond belief that they could effect each other in most intense way, yet only with just a look took their breath away for a moment. When finally coming down from the ocean of bliss they had been sent, at the same time, they said. "I Love You!" Just three little words, but at the same time those three little words said so much. Their eyes met once again and both of them broke out in a fit of laughter as both thought the same thing. WOW!

Part 67
When Richard Mannero came back to escort the Roswell group down to the luncheon, everyone was a little nervous to see who all would actually show. Now that everyone understood what was at stake, everyone from human, alien, parent, friend to protectors seem to huddle either in front or in back of Max and Liz. It came naturally to provide the soon to be married royal couple security. Michael took the lead, as Garock and Tetro stayed at the rear. It was agreed that Michael would walk into the room first, prior to Max and Liz. Since it was only possible for Liz to see the true alien form, she was to be one of the first ones in the room to scan it for any possible threats. But, as usual Max's priority was protecting Liz, so he stood as close to her as possible to protect her just in case. As the group stepped into the room, Garock and Tetro remained by the doors. There was approximately thirty other people in the room. Brody was the first one to greet the Roswell group. Bowing deeply, he stated. "Your Majesty." Before stepping up and shaking hands with Max. Then once again bowing deeply to Liz this time. "Your Highness." He moved to Isabelle next, bowed his head to her. "Princess, it's always a pleasure to see you." He took her hand and placed a small kiss on it. Then proceeded to greet the other members one by one, shaking hands with each individual. Everyone except for Liz, as it was common knowledge among the individuals in the whirlwind galaxy the Queen was untouchable and it would be considered inappropriate to touch any part of her.
Garock had already informed both Max and Liz of this tradition, but to actually have someone acknowledge it first hand, made Liz feel slightly awkward. Sensing her feelings, Max quickly squeezed her had to let her know everything would be all right. Langley was the next to approach the royal couple. He followed the same path as Brody/Larek had. Bowing deeply to Max and to Liz, bowing his head to Isabelle and shaking hands with the rest of the males in the group, while kissing the females hands. All except Liz, which showed a sign of respect not to touch her in any way.
Mr. Mannero then took the lead by guided the royal couple with the rest of the group following to meet and greet the rest of the individual's that had arrived to be among the first to meet the Roswell aliens and their group of friends and family. Among them were many top ranking military officials from the various branches, several members of the FBI, two top members of the SETI team, a few representatives from NASA, several scientists that were considered the experts in their fields. A Doctor and a Psychiatrist. The most prominent guest was the Governor of New Mexico himself who had come to meet and greet the Roswell aliens.
Both Michael and Isabelle were stunned to say the least and it showed in their appearance. The other members of the Roswell group also seem a little overwhelmed by the names and titles that they were being introduced to. The only ones who didn't seem entirely impressed by the individuals they were meeting for the first time were Max and Liz. They both held their heads high, as if it was an everyday occurrence to meet some of the most influential people on the planet. "They play the part of King and Queen really well, don't they?" Maria whispered to Michael as they watched how Max and Liz greeted each individual as they were just another Tom, Dick and Henry from no wheresville.
"That's the point Maria, they aren't playing. They are the King and Queen. Yours and mine." He stated as he took her hand in his. It was a small gesture, but it meant the world to Maria. In that simple statement, Michael let her know she was still a part of the picture, still a part of his world and he planned on keeping his vow of marriage to her.
The first person to be introduced was the Governor, who shook Max's hand and then went to shake Liz's. The moment his hand was offered though, Liz hesitated. She knew the rules as far as Antar's laws were according to Garock, but they were on Earth and she wasn't sure if those rules still applied here. Before the situation had time to be awkward though, Garock stepped forward. "Only those with the King's permission are allowed to touch the Queen, sir." His voice was one of authority, taking his position as the Queen's protector seriously so that even those on this planet understood the importance of Liz's role.
Sensing Liz's discomfort over this newly learned rule, Max quickly came to her defense. "Garock, Liz is as intelligent as she is beautiful. I believe she can determined for herself who she can shake hands with." With that said, Max made it clear that he was not Liz's keeper and she had a say in her life.
Bowing his head deeply, Garock replied. "As you wish, your majesty." Then stepped back to his place by the door. That was the only incident to occur during the introductions as Liz accepted the Governor's hand. She also shook hands with all the non military personnel that was introduced, but only nodded to the others as they were introduced. Jeff and Nancy were filled with pride as they watched their daughter's display. Even at such a young age, she showed grace and courage.
Max's parents too were taken back by the way Max naturally had a leadership presence about him that the other people in the room seem to sense and it showed in the way they showered him with respect. Neither Max nor Liz faltered in their steps as they were shown to the head table. As the Roswell group had often witnessed, the two of them seem to be in constant communication to one another but no words were ever spoken between the two of them.
It still amazed even them to witness it, but for the others in the room it was beyond words to see.
Richard Mannero had informed Max, there would be several members of the group that would have questions for him, but Max simply replied he would take care of it. Once everyone was seated, Max turned to Liz. 'You ready for this?' He silently questioned.
'I trust you Max. Say what comes from your heart and you'll be fine.' She replied and gave his hand a gentle squeeze to let him know she was behind him.
Max then rose from his chair. "I know several of you have questions and concerns. While I can give you answers to some, I cannot give you all the answers you seek. As most of you know by now my name is Maxwell Philip Evans. I was not born of this Earth, but I was born and raised here and this is where I consider my home. I am actually considered an alien human hybrid. Which is a mixture of my former life essence and human DNA combined. I cannot explain how this process is possible as I do not have that information myself. I was sent to this planet along with my sister, Volandra who is known in this life as my sister Isabelle." Max motioned to Isabelle and she stood. "My second in command, Rath who now goes by the name of Michael Guerin." Michael stood without needing Max to motion for him to do so. "The three of us, along with another member of the Royal family who is no longer alive, was sent here in hopes that one day we would be able to return to our home planet and free it from the tyranny it has suffered for the past sixty years. In my former life, I was known as Zan, King of Antar. Antar is the largest of the five planets in our home solar system, located in the Whirlwind Galaxy."
Max took a breath and waited a few seconds to allow the knowledge he had just stated sink in before he continued. "The five planets of our solar system are in a conflict. During this conflict I was struck down and killed. That same conflict continues today and I'm afraid that same conflict has followed us to this planet. Earth is a planet, rich of resources. It would be vain of me to think our enemies would come to this planet only to ensure my death and those who are still members of the Royal house of Antar. This is not just my fight or my families fight any longer. It is all of ours and I wish to help protect this planet, your homes, my home from those that could possibly bring a threat to our way of life here on Earth."
As Max finished his speech, he sat back in his seat, knowing the questions would erupt any moment. Knowing his feelings without even having to look at him, Liz leaned over and placed a soft kiss on his cheek. "You did great." She spoke out loud to him for the first time since the two of them had entered the room.
Max wasn't disappointed about the questions that came his way. The first question was from General McCormick, one of the army military personnel. "What kind of weapons can we expect to face from this so called enemies?"
Max took a moment to look to Michael, then to Isabelle, then finally back to Liz before he stood back up to acknowledge the General's question. Once he got the confirmation he needed from the other three in the four square, he stated seriously. "Weapons are not a concern. This planet will be protected from harm."
"That statement is a little vain to state." The General responded.
"General, other guests, my family and I were sent here for a reason. I believe in my heart that reason wasn't just to return to a planet I have never seen and restore peace there, but to ensure the safety of this planet that I consider my home. Each of us have gifts, some are alike, while other's are unique. I can assure you, this planet will be protected."
Professor Ikeman quickly jumped in at that statement. "What powers do you have exactly?"
Max was expecting this question and though he didn't want to show all his cards as of yet, he felt he did owe the people in the room to leave here with a sense of security. "My personal powers are more defensive, I can heal unnatural occurrences, such as a broken bone, a virus or even a gunshot wound if necessary." Max couldn't help but give Liz a small smirk at that reply. "I also have a defense shield, capable of deflecting any weapon that I know of and I have the capability to command an individual's mind. We all have the ability to manipulate molecular manner, such as changing shapes or items. We can also connect with people, feel their emotions and sense if they are friend or foe, but we can't read minds."
Max could tell many of the individual's were skeptical about what he had just said and he wasn't disappointed when one of the members from SETI asked. "Can you demonstrate some of this powers you claim to have?"
Looking the man directly in the eye, he sent a mind command to him. *Bark like a dog* The distinguished looking man immediately started barking to the surprise of the other individual's in the room. "This is the demonstration that the man requested. At this time, I commanded Mr. Sander to bark like a dog, he will continue to do so until I release the command." To everyone's amazement, they all watched as the man before them continued barking. Max wanted to laugh, but one look at Liz told him it was time to stop. *Stop barking* The man instantly stopped and to the surprise of everyone started laughing.
"That was amazing. I actually heard you tell me in my mind to bark like a dog. The next thing I know, I'm barking like a dog and can't stop. Can you make anyone do anything you want?" It wasn't an excusing question, just one of complete curiosity.
"Yes." Max admitted. Even though he hadn't been able to use his mind command power on Kivar a few days back, he knew for certain that if he had met him today, he would be able to use the power on him. For each day, he grew more and more confident in his ability and as his confidence grew, so did his power.
Now it was a member from the FBI that spoke up. "If you have the capability to control our minds, then what makes us safe against you?"
It was Liz that stood up this time to come to Max's defense. "Because sir, my husband to be doesn't suffer from the hunger for power of which most males do on this planet. Just like the men in power that can flip a switch and cause a nuclear war on our planet don't abuse their power, neither does Max."
Without any warning, the other FBI agent pulled his gun and fired a shot of at Liz. With no thought or hesitation, Max raised his shield to protect the bullet from coming within five feet from Liz. The FBI agent himself though didn't have any defense when both Michael and Garock immediately attacked back. Neither sent a blast to kill, but neither could stand by and allow the man to get away with an attempt on Liz's life. In a second the room started to fill with panic and Max quickly took matters into his own hands. Sending out a mind command to everyone in the room except the Roswell group. *Sit and be quiet* He then went over to the FBI agent that had made the mistake of taking a shot at Liz. "That was very stupid and unnecessary." He reached his hand over the man's shoulder and healed the wound caused by Michael's blast, then did the same to his leg from Garock's. "We mean noone harm, but I cannot emphasize this point enough. We will defend ourselves and if anyone makes another attempt on Liz's life intended or not, they will not live to see tomorrow." His voice laced with anger. He stepped back to Liz's side. *Release* This time he only spoke one word, but it was all that was needed.
The FBI agent that had pulled the trigger spoke first. His voice cracking with nervousness as he spoke. Still shaking by what had just happened to him. "I apologize for my behavior. It was only a blank and would not have truly harmed her." He spoke directly to Max, then turned to Liz. "I am sorry if I scared you in any way."
Jeff Parker stood and walked over to the man. "Max, might be a diplomat, but I'm not. I'm just a father." Before the man had time to think twice, Jeff Parker raised his fist and knocked the agent back to the ground once again. "That's for scaring my baby girl."
The other FBI agent made a move as if he was going to attack Liz's father, but was stopped with a warning from Max. "I wouldn't if I were you." The agent sat back down, not willing to tempt fate for a second time that afternoon. "I have experienced first hand what the fear of the unknown can cause men to do. I can only hope by coming forward and trying to be up front and honest about who I am and what to expect in the future that you can learn to trust me and my family and friends. We are different, but yet we are the same."
The room grew quiet for a few moments, then the sound of clapping could be heard coming from the Governor, himself as he stood to express his agreement at Max's words. Richard Mannero was the second to stand, then more clapping followed until all the individual's in the room were standing and clapping. The Roswell group also stood and applauded, all had the feeling of pride inside of their hearts as they seen first hand their son, their brother, their friend, their King begin to become the man he was meant to become before their eyes.
The Max Evans who stood before the room was not raised as a King, was not schooled in the ways of the diplomatic world. Yet, everyone in that room knew without any doubts the young man was a natural leader and he was becoming the King he was born to be. But, it was Max that knew the true reason he was able to accomplish what he was meant to be. It was because of the young woman who stood beside him. The woman who he knew from the moment he had laid eyes on her that she was the one, the only one that would be able to enable him to succeed.
Because of her support, her encouragement and her unconditional love for him. Liz was so much more then just his soul mate, his future wife and mother of his children. She completed and complimented him in everyway, because she was his other half.
The main thing that most of the individuals didn't know in the room and prayed they never figured out was although he may have an unbelievable amount of power at his disposal, but it was Liz that truly held the power within her hands. Because the petite woman next to him, had complete power over him. Because she held within her soul, his heart and that was the most powerful gift anyone on any planet could ever have.

The rest of the luncheon went on without any further disturbances. After the food was cleared, Max had agreed with Mr. Mannero to meet with individuals on a more personal basis.
Max, Michael, Isabelle and Liz were escorted to a private meeting hall where they had the opportunity to discuss different issues with either an individual one on one or a small group of individuals. Larek in Brody's body, along with Cal Langley, Tetro and Garock were also included in the individual meetings. It became obviously clear the roll the four other aliens claimed. Langley was obviously Max's protector, Garock and Tetro made their roll perfectly clear as Liz's protectors. While Larek was their as counselor or some could say an advisor to the royal four of Antar.
Although Max spoke confidently with the individuals from NASA and SETI, giving them as much information he had regarding his planet, space travel and more detailed specifics of his home planets location. It didn't go unnoticed how he leaned on Liz for support. Even with Michael and Isabelle in the room, it was Liz that he gained strength from.
When the military doctors had their turn, Max surprised everyone with the exception of Liz with his agreeance to submit to various tests. Max expected this, as their was no denying his body fluids were different. He may have the same physical structures of other human beings, but he was different and as much as he hated the idea of becoming a lab rat to be poked and prodded, he understood their reasoning behind their request. The doctor's had also requested tests be done on Liz, Isabelle, Michael, Garock, Langley and Tetro. Although Michael and Isabelle were a little apprehensive in submitting to any tests, they followed Max's lead. Tetro offered himself for the tests, but Max agreed it would be unnecessary for any testing to be done on both Tetro and Garock, which the doctors agreed to so Garock was excused from the testing. Langley was also excused from any testing done on him, as Max stated the government had all the information that was necessary from prior testing that had been completed by the special unit on the shape shifter when they had experimented on a shape shifter after the crash from '47.
The only individual in the room that there was an argument over testing on was Liz. Max insistently refused for any tests of any kind be run on her. The doctors did their best to change Max's mind, but Max held his ground. While Liz didn't see a big problem, Max pleaded silently for her to understand he couldn't allow her to be subjected to tests because of him. It was Max's worst nightmare, for Liz to endure what he had during his white room experience and to him, letting the doctors due any tests on Liz was just too close to his nightmare. So in the end Liz agreed knowing Max's reasoning, but she refused to leave Max's side the entire time the testing was done.
Everything was explained before hand to the group along with their protectors so no unwanted tests or procedures were done without prior permission. Although Max's memories of the time he had spent in the white room were always in the back of his mind, Max looked calm and collected on the outside. The only person in the room that knew of his discomfort was Liz, who took it upon herself to stand as close to Max to offer her support and love throughout the entire examination. A basic physical examination was done first, including giving both a blood and urine sample. Max drew the line at giving a sperm sample from himself or Michael. Nor did he allow the doctors to give Isabelle a pelvic examine or a pap smear. Knowing his sister was already too uncomfortable with the basic of tests already. Next the technicians brought in x-ray equipment, a heart monitor, a brainwave monitor and by the time Max and the others had submitted to all the various tests that were requested it was late in the afternoon. The lead doctor tried one final time to be able to examine Liz, but once again Max was adamant in his decision much to the disappointment to all the doctors.
The next meeting was to be with the various military leaders, but Max requested a rest period prior to meeting with them. Knowing everyone needed a break from their testing. Mr. Mannero understood and didn't even question Max's request. The rest of the Roswell group were escorted into the private meeting room and snacks were delivered for everyone. They explained to their parents and friends what had happened during their absence. After a few minutes Liz pulled Max to the side so the two of them could have a few minutes alone. "Max, do you really thing it was a good idea not to allow the doctors to examine me?" Liz understood Max's reasoning behind his refusal and she would never even consider disagreeing with him in front of the others. But, the fact remained, she was human that was impregnated by an alien human hybrid. She knew the doctors would be just as curious about her and her pregnancy then Max and the others and the way Max outright refused their request would only make them more curious.
"Liz, I know what your thinking. Believe me, I do, but I just..." He took her hand in his, kissing it softly before continuing. "I love you, Liz and no matter what I may have to go
through because of who I am, I just can't allow anything to happen to you. You mean everything to me. Please, please understand why I can't put you through that." Their connection was so binding, he really didn't need to voice his reasoning. Liz knew his thoughts and feelings the same as he knew hers. He knew she was right in her concerns and he knew if she really wanted to do the testing he wouldn't stop her. As they both knew she had the power to make him relent in his decision if she truly wanted to, but Max prayed she would understand him enough to allow him this one decision to have his way.
For Liz there was no further need to disagree or voice her concerns. She understood Max and his reasoning behind his decision better then she understood herself. His decision was made because of his love for her, a love that she trusted without condition. She gave him a shy smile. "I love you too, Max." Was her only voiced thought and Max knew in that moment she wouldn't pursue the matter any further. Granting him his request simply because she knew how much it meant to him. The two shared a lingering kiss before they joined the rest of the group once again. United together, a team that shared and respected the other. It was becoming more and more obvious to everyone how the two of them would someday rule together. One not more important or more powerful then the other, but as equals.
During the rest period, Brody's body was in a slept trance as Larek used the time to return to his home and gather further information to relay to the future King and Queen of Antar.
Max and Liz spoke to their mother's and asked if they would mind using the time during their next meeting to start making a few plans for their wedding ceremony. Max complied with what he knew Liz wanted. The ceremony itself would be a private ceremony, as neither truly wanted anything too extravagant. But, Max refused to not allow Liz to get her dream wedding because of the circumstances that surrounded it. She couldn't hide what she truly wanted, because Max knew exactly what she wanted and when she didn't express things he knew she wanted to their mother's, he made a point to speak up and request them. The one thing that they both agreed upon was the ceremony needed to be immediately after Max's coronation. No matter what and since they didn't know exactly when that would happen, everything had to be planned out and ready to go at a moments notice.
Their rest period ended far too soon for everyone, but everyone understood the importance behind the meeting with the military commanders. Much to Max's dismay, Brody remained in his sleep like trance so he had no new information to provide the military officers. Their questions were as Max and Liz had expected. Much to the military personnel's surprise was Liz's knowledge. As she answered many of their questions if not more then Max did. Even Michael and Isabelle were surprised at how not only Max took control of the room, but many times it seemed like Liz was the one in charge. The way the two of them answered each question, as if they knew exactly who should answer what. Although Max never offered any extra information then he knew was necessary, he graciously answered most questions honestly as possible. Michael was the one that suggested before the meeting that it was in their best interest not to let on about the power of the four square. A suggestion that both Max and Liz agreed one hundred percent with. Max also thought it best not to demonstrate his full capability of the mind command power. Only Liz knew how strong he was truly getting with it. Michael and Isabelle had a small taste of what he was capable of when they had connected in the four square, but with each hour that past. Max could feel the strength growing inside of him and since Liz was the only one so connected to Max she too could feel the strength of his power growing.
By the time they had finished with the military it was after the dinner hour and the group adjourned to have a private dinner with their friends and family. Mr. Mannero had spoken with the President, as did several of the military commanders. It was becoming more and more clear that Max Evans from Roswell, New Mexico was becoming a well known name around the powers to be in Washington, DC. An individual that many of the individuals that met with him, considered it an honor to know him and his respect was growing by leaps and bounds. It wasn't what he said or the fact that he would someday be a King from another planet that made the people that met Max earned him the respect they offered. It was the way he carried himself, the way he spoke, that made people took note of him and respected him for it.
The one person that became more of a mystery to the powers to be was Elizabeth Parker. She wasn't an alien human hybrid with any special powers of her own that they knew of. As far as the world knew Liz Parker was an average small town all American teenager girl, who was an above average student that was one hundred percent human. Her records were gone through with a fine tooth comb from school records, doctor office records, birth certificate, everything else the government could think to locate what it was about her that was so special. She was a beautiful female, but not the most beautiful creature known to mankind that would turn every man's head her way if passed on the street. From her grades and her IQ results it was clear she was highly intelligent, but she wouldn't be considered a genius.
She had a shapely figure, but by no means the most perfect body ever seen. She was clearly knowledgeable with regard to the alien hybrids and what was to come without any doubts.
It went without question that she was important and meant the world to Max. He guarded her like she was the rarest diamond on Earth. He never left her side, refused for the doctors to examine her, even after allowing them to examine his own sister. In fact, very few of the individuals that met Liz were allowed to even touch her. But, the one question that remained unanswered to all was, why? What was it about Liz Parker that made her so important that an alien King would choose her out of all the females there were on the planet? That was the question no one seemed to have an answer to, even though the answer was as clear to Max and those closest to the two of them. It was the simplest of all answers, but so simple that no one could believe it was the true reason. The answer simply was Max loved Liz in it's purest form.
One point was voiced over and over again, even though no one could figure out the reason behind why Liz was so important. Everyone agreed that if it came down to the need to have any leverage, Liz was the key. The only problem being was she was never out of Max's sight.
They only hoped and prayed that there wouldn't be any reason to need to use Liz as leverage until they were able to figure out how to get to her.
After their dinner with their friends and family, Max and Liz excused themselves. Garock and Tetro followed them to their suite, while Max gave Langley specific instructions to watch over Brody and to report to him the minute Larek returned to Brody's body.
The minute the two of them were alone in their room, Max swept Liz into his arms and kissed her breathless before she could see two words. "I really needed to do that." He whispered against her lips as he walked them over to their bed. It was the most truest statement he had said since their meetings had begun. Even though he no longer felt the need to mate with Liz since she was already carrying his child, he still needed her love to complete him and give him the strength to continue. The alien craving was gone, but his love for her was far from being satisfied. Now that they were finally alone with each other for the night, Max only had one thought in mind and it had nothing to do with meeting heads of government, explaining details to the military about an alien invasion or how the results were of the doctor's tests. No, at this moment in time, Max needed Liz. Physically, mentally and spiritually, he needed her to surround him in her love for him.
Liz didn't need to be connected to Max to know what he wanted or needed in that moment. She could feel exactly what he wanted, what he was feeling and there was no denying she wanted and felt the same needs and wants. Their hands roamed over the other's body easily, effortlessly. Knowing exactly what the other desired from them. Their mouths came together basking in the feel of each other's tastes. Their clothing was slowly removed, neither in any hurry to rush their love making, just being in each other's arms gave them enough pleasure in anticipation to allow each other the simple pleasure of being rapture by the other. The seduction was slow, torturous even to a point, but neither minded. Tonight was just about them, not saving the his world or hers. Not about power or control. It was about love and passion. A love that would endure, that would not be denied.
Once their bodies were free from clothing, Max caressed his hand from her soft cheek, over her sensual neck, between her breast, down her stomach where it remained tenderly rubbing over the spot his child laid in a peaceful slumber as it grew. His lips followed the path his hand had taken until they were able to softly press against her womb. "I love you." He whispered to her stomach so gently it brought tears to Liz's eyes. His head lifted and their eyes met, love shining brightly for the other. "Forever Liz, I'll love you forever."
He swore then moved his body until he was nestled between her legs. The aroma of her womanly scent filling every inch of him with desire. He placed a gentle kiss on her lower lips before his tongue stroked the full length of her. Now that the alien craving to mate with her was gone, he didn't feel the need to ravish her blindly like he had, but he had to admit he would never tire of her tastes. Even without the alien craving, he was still addicted to her, still desired to taste her sweet honey and with that one stroke of his tongue he was more then ready for the feast Liz was offering.
Licking, sucking and nipping slightly. Dipping in and out of her wetness, running his tongue around her sensitive nub. He reveled in her tastes as she exploded her offering to him once, twice, three times. The only thought going through Liz's mind was Max's tongue was a God as he gave her complete pleasure that curled her toes. Knowing what her mind was thinking only encouraged him to further his assault upon her womanhood. He was completed addicted to her, a drug in his system that needed to be refilled often and it had been too long since his last fix. Unable to wait any longer to feel him inside her, Liz moaned out her plead. "Max, please. Inside now!" She commanded finally and Max was only to ready to oblige with her command.
Max kissed his way back up her body until his prominent erection laid just at her entrance.
In reality his movements were swift and quick to comply with her demands, but to Liz it seemed like an eternity. She was so lost in her desire for him, one-second was way too long of a wait. "Max, I need yo..." Her plead was swallowed with his lips as his crashed to hers and his body swiftly joined hers in a sweet blissfulness of their joining. Their moans of pleasure released into each other's mouths. They moved instinctually together in a slow sensual pace that was driving them both crazy with want for more, but neither willing to speed their movements as the pleasure of their joining was to great to rush it.
Liz's arms moved over his back, arms and chest. While Max's hand caressed her breast. Cupping them gently, yet firmly in the palms of his hand. Tweaking her nipples until they were tight and hard physically showing her desire. Their lips continued to dance across each other's, as their bodies moved gracefully as one. Neither were surprised when their release came together and both felt Max's immediately response to being inside of Liz. "I guess it isn't just an alien thing, but a Max, Liz thing after all." Max teased as he flipped the two of them over changing their position so Liz now was on top of him. He held her hips, guiding her up and down over his once again steel hard erection. Pumping up into her with move speed, going deeper and harder as their love making pace increased.
It didn't take them long to achieve another release and once again Max hardened immediately.
"Max?" Liz was starting to wonder if there was more going on then she knew about. She was so connected to Max, she could feel his desire for her form due to his love for her, yet she still felt the need to question. To make sure she wasn't missing anything as she herself had been lost in the total rapture of pleasure that Max was giving her.
Flipping them once more and grabbing her legs under her knees to give him the ability to gain even deeper entrance inside of her body. Her warmth surrounding him like a slick glove, driving him into a wild animalistic pace. "Just..love, Liz. Love..for..you." He replied to her question, reassuring her that there wasn't any undetermined reasoning behind his continuing need to make love to her over and over again. But, at the pace he was moving his words were huffed out in-between deep breaths.
"OH GOD, MAX! YESSSS!" Liz screamed out once again as she rode another wave of bliss, causing Max's release to come instantly.
"LLLIIZZZZ!" He moaned her name before finally collapsing on top of her totally spent and totally satisfied in their love making. He rolled off her and pulled her into his arms immediately, still needing to hold her close. His body was already beginning to respond to her once more, but Max knew they both needed rest. Tomorrow was going to be a long day and he promised himself he would feel her warmth once again in the early morning before beginning their journey of tomorrow.
The two fell into a peaceful sleep, wrapped in each other's arms. But, their night of rest wasn't quite as long as they had planned, nor was Max able to fulfill the promise he had made to be able to wake up making love to Liz. As a few short hours after they had fallen into a deep sleep, they were awoken by the commotion of their bedroom door being pounded on.
Max quickly threw Liz her rope, grabbed his boxers, then opened the door. More then prepared to protect Liz and their child if the need arose. To Max's surprise it was Brody, or more specifically Larek in Brody's body shuffling with Garock to get to Max. "Larek, what is it?" Max asked directly as the two men separated from their struggle.
"All hell has broken out. Get to the Granolith immediately. The Queen Mother is arriving." With that said Brody collapsed to the floor in a heap, dead.

Max didn't hesitate in his attempt to help his one time boss, but even he knew he didn't have the power to bring back the dead. Liz was by his side in a matter of seconds and tried to offer him her love as she understood the implications of Brody's death all to well. The government doctor's would find the cause of death to be due to a brain aneurysm, it would be noted as a natural cause of death, but both Max and Liz knew this was only the beginning. Larek's words repeated in Max's head. All hell is breaking loose. Larek must have known his death was coming, but in lieu of fighting for his life. He felt it was more important to warn Max of what was to come. Garock was the one that offered what the true explanation for Brody's death was. "Larek was in possession of Brody's body at the time when his own life was taken, the impact of Larek's death would have been to grand for Brody's body to handle."
"We need to get to the pod chamber." Max stated quietly, for he felt the lost of both individual's he considered to be his friends. Turning to Tetro who was standing in the back ground. "Wake Michael and Isabelle, it's time." He turned back to Liz. "You better get dress, I think we're in for a long day."
If what Max assumed was happening on his home planet, things were going to get ugly before they got better. With their connection so open, Max couldn't hide his thoughts from Liz and the impact what he was thinking sent shivers down her spine. Kivar's death was probably out by now, leaving Antar with no leader and no King. The conception of the heir was also known now throughout the five planets due to the light signal, so anyone and everyone who would want to stake a claim on the throne would have to fight for it's control. With Max being the rightful King, but as of yet not been coronated in this lifetime, his throne was up for grabs. The easiest way to obtain the throne would be to marry Liz who was currently pregnant with the true royal heir. Liz would still be obligated to marry since her and Max were not legally wed by either Earth's laws or Antar laws. So if anything happened to Max, her fate would be in the new leader of Antar. "You listen to me, Maxwell Evans. I am going to marry you, do you understand me." She commanded, the thought of being forced to marry anyone except Max was just unacceptable to her.
Knowing his own fears had only spun hers, he brought his arms around her. Lifting her chin so their eyes met. "You will be my Queen, no one else's." He stated confidently, he had no way of knowing what was going to happen in the next twenty-four hours, but he refused to believe the two of them would go through as much as they had not to find their happy ever after in the end.
Liz nodded accepting Max's words to heart. The two of them dressed as quickly as possible, before Michael, Maria, Isabelle and the rest of the Roswell group was once again invading their bedroom suite. It seemed to Liz everyone was going in slow motion, but the speed in which everyone was ready impressed even Max. Max informed Richard Mannero of what was happening so he could inform the proper military personnel so they could be prepared. Max thought it might be a good idea that anyone without the means to protect themselves should stay safe at the Inn. But, after the arguments started about who should stay and who should leave. Maria being one that refused to stay, stating she had been in it from the beginning and she was going to see it through to the end. His adopted parents, the only true parents he had ever known stating his coronation was something they felt the need to be a part of and Liz's parents weren't having any part of staying, if their daughter was going.
Both Max and Liz knew everyone was going, with or without powers. This was something that would only happen once in their life time, just the same as graduated from high school, getting married. It was a monumentive moment that no one wanted to be left out of and the small group that had been such a big part of Max's life, it just didn't feel right not having them all there to share this major piece of his life.
Even though Max and Liz finally relented to their friends and family members attending Max's coronation, both were taken back when Richard Mannero informed them several members of the group they had met with yesterday would also be following them out to the pod chamber. At first Max tried to deny them and was going to use his mind command power to keep them at bay. But, in the end, it was Mr. Mannero's words that finally made Max agree. "This is a time for not only your world, but ours to be able to acknowledge your place and bring our worlds together in peace and harmony."
One by one the vehicles left the Inn, Max and Liz in the second car, surrounded by military escorts. They reached the massive rock that hid the pod chamber swiftly, but to Max it seemed like an eternity had passed. Liz held his hand tightly, both knowing their future was to be determined shortly and both feeling the effects what the next few hours would mean to them. Once they arrived Max, Liz, Michael and Isabelle walked the distance up the side of the rock alone. No one questioned, from friends, family to military and other members of the party. Everyone seemed to understand the four of them needed to do this part of their journey alone. Even Maria kept quiet when Michael kissed her softly, stating. "I'll be back in a few for you."
None of them had really been back to the pod chamber since Tess had taken flight that fateful day almost a year ago. But, to all of their amazement's the chamber looked totally in tact, like nothing had gone down or changed in any way. Max slid his hand over the rock face, the silver hand print appeared and the chamber opened. Inside, the four pods still had a green glow to them just as they had before. They stepped further into the chamber, walking into the Granolith room only to find it empty. "What now Max?" Isabelle asked, knowing her brother hated the question, but she had thought they would find the Granolith here.
Max walked around the room quietly debating if he had been wrong about where to come. Larek's last words were to get to the Granolith and this was the only place Max had thought to come. But, now as he stood in the empty chamber he began to second guess where he had assumed the Granolith would be. Just as his hand reached up to touch the wall of the Granolith chamber, the large count down clock appeared on the upper portion of the wall. One light lit up, then another lit up a minute later, then another. It appeared to counting backward from the time they had originally activated the device. "I guess it's on it's way."
Max stated, not sure of anything at the moment.
"Do you think we should stay in here?" Michael asked, his protective mode for his King and future Queen running high as he remembered the explosion that had taken place when the Granolith had left the Earth the first time around. He also couldn't help the thought that it was possible that it wasn't the Queen Mother that was going to exit the machine, but one of their enemies. His mind was thinking as a warrior to keep them safe.
Max watched the clock on the wall continue to light up with each passing minute. His own anxieties were high, but not for the same reasons as Michael's. He didn't understand how he knew, maybe it was instinct. But, Max wasn't fearing for their safety, no his anxieties were more due to the fact that he was finally going to meet the woman that had given him life in another lifetime and was more than likely responsible for him being recreated in this lifetime. In all the years he had wondered what this moment would be like. He looked over at his sister and could see she had the same look on her face. "It'll be okay Michael.
It's going to be awhile though, why don't you go and fill the others in on the apparent time delay." Michael nodded his consent and started to exit the chamber when Max cautioned.
"Don't be too long though." Giving Max a single nod in understanding his words, he left to let the other members of the party that had joined them know what time the arrival of the Queen Mother should be.
The backward countdown continued and with each passing minute, the four became a little more restless and their anxieties were growing steadily. With only a few minutes remaining on the reverse clock upon the wall of the chamber, the air around them picked up monumentive as if a storm was approaching. The whistling sound of air being pushed around and around could be heard as it grew louder and louder. With only one minute remaining, lights began to pulse throughout the room, growing brighter and brighter. The whistling sound now booming off the walls and as the clock finished it's countdown, a white light pierced the heart of the room, the whirling sound became deafening and the four ran from the room to escape the onslaught of sounds and lights to the safety of the outer pod chamber. A large boom finally exploded from inside the Granolith chamber and the an eerie quiet crept over the room. "Max?" Isabelle questioned, she had no idea what to expect next and the fear in her voice was clear.
"Everyone stay back." Max ordered as he slowly made his way back to the entrance of the Granolith chamber.
Max watched in amazement as the first two individuals stepped out of the Granolith itself. Their shape was human, but they were far from human. Both bowed deeply expressing their respect to Max as if they knew exactly who he was even though they had never met. Then lifted their hands and a bright light shot out of their hands, Max immediately put up his energy field in defense thinking he was under some kind of attack. But, he was shocked once again as the two alien looking beings, shifted their shape and their outer form took a more familiar looking shape. Within seconds two human adult males dressed in what appeared to be formal military attire stood before him. Max lowered his shield and waited to see what was going to happen next, but still ready to defend to the end if it came down to that. The two men then took their position on the opposite side of the Granolith. About thirty seconds later another pair of alien looking beings stepped out of the Granolith, only to bow once again to Max, then change their shape almost instantly. The progression continued until the entire Granolith chamber was surrounded by what appeared to be guards and then finally one final being exited the Granolith.
Max immediately recognized the individual for he had seen her once before. He was actually surprised as he had assumed she would have looked differently then she had when she had appeared to him in the hologram a few years back. But, she looked exactly how he had remembered her. Not sure what to say the two royal individuals kept eye contact for a few moments, then it was Max who bowed deeply to the Queen Mother this time. The Queen Mother then reciprocated Max's show of respect by bowing deeply back in return. When both raised their heads once again, the Queen Mother spoke for the first time. "My son."
"Mother." Max's voice was quiet, yet filled with emotions. The two embraced each other in a hug that held more meaning then words could ever say. It was a day both had thought of for a long time, but a day that neither thought would ever really arrive. Reluctantly pulling back, Max stated softly. "The other's are waiting in the next chamber."
"My daughter?" The Queen Mother asked, her own anxiety clear in her tone. Making Max realize he and Isabelle weren't the only ones nervous about this reunion.
"Yes, Isabelle is the name Volandra was given in this life. Rath goes by Michael and my future Queen's name is..."
"Elizabeth Ann Parker and you go by Maxwell Philip Evans." Max's true mother confirmed she had been kept current on the matters at hand. "I understand you have made a wise choice."
"But, I'm the lucky one that she choose me." He offered his arm. "Shall we?" The Queen Mother accepted her one time son's arm and Max noticed how she seemed to glide along his side in lieu of walking.
The entire time Max had been in the Granolith chamber, it was up to Michael to keep both Isabelle and Liz from letting their anxieties get the better of them. Isabelle nerves were at an all time high due to the fact she was about to meet her real mother for the first time in this life. Liz was nervous for a whole other reason, her insecurities were taking hold with each passing second. Would she be accepted by the Queen Mother? Even though Max had chosen her, didn't mean she would be accepted by his real mother. After all his real mother had chosen Tess to be Max's mate. So when Max started to walk through the entrance between the two chambers, Liz couldn't help taking a step behind Michael. She felt like a two year old hiding behind her mother's skirt, but she was just so nervous she couldn't help herself. She had met several high ranking military commanders, government representatives and some of the most powerful men in the world in the last few days. Yet, meeting Max's true mother was by far the most important meeting she would ever have to face and her stomach was in knots at the thought that she wouldn't be good enough.
Upon seeing her real mother, Isabelle bowed deeply to show her respect the same as Max had done. But, in lieu of the Queen mother returning her bow, she moved quickly and gathered Isabelle in her arms. "My daughter, it's been too long." She gave her a quick hug before pulling back and looking her over. "You are as beautiful as ever."
"I've dreamt about meeting you in person for so long, I can't believe your here." Tears were forming in both women's eyes as their reunion was one of pure joy.
The Queen Mother then turned to where both Michael and Liz were standing. Michael immediately bowed deeply. To his surprise, the Queen lifted his head smiling warmly at him.
"You may not remember your other life Michael, but I always thought of you as one of my children." She then surprised Michael even further when she wrapped her arms around his body. Michael hadn't expected this and it showed by the way he stood. Besides his close knit group, Michael had never shown emotion or been given emotion freely and to be showered with love from a person who acknowledged him as a son to her just overwhelmed him. The Queen Mother pulled back from Michael, turning her head to her two former children. "He may be Michael in this life, but he is Rath through and through. A warrior on the outside for the world to see, but with a heart of a teddy bear on the inside."
Both Max and Isabelle couldn't keep the smiles off their faces at that assessment of their good friend. It fit him to a tee. The tension that been in the air a few moments ago was quickly resolving, even Liz found herself smiling at that comment. She had heard Maria commenting what a big teddy bear Michael really was on several occasions. As she smiled, she had also inadvertently stepped from her hiding place behind Michael. Max knew of Liz's anxieties and insecurities when it came to meeting the woman that had originally gave him life. Seeing Liz step out from behind Michael, Max was immediately in motion. Pulling Liz so she stood by his side once again, he began the introductions. "May I introduce, Ms. Elizabeth Ann Parker, my future Queen. Liz, this is the Queen Mother from Antar. Queen Areayan." Max hadn't known his true mother's name until just that moment in time, but as he began the introduction the name flowed easily from his lips.
Liz had already began to show her respect to the Queen Mother by bowing deeply. "It's an honor to meet you, your majesty."
"Areayan, please. And the honor is all mine." Liz lifted her head and the two women's eyes met and an instant kinship was formed. All the insecurities that Liz had felt prior to the meeting of her future mother in law were erased instantly. "Elizabeth, you are as lovely in person as I was informed."
"Thank you." Liz spoke clearly, but quietly. "Please, call me Liz." Areayan nodded her head in acceptance of the informal name. She reached out and gently grasped Liz's arm making a connection form between the two of them.
"Your heart is pure, you will make a wonderful Queen." Areayan announced when she released Liz's arm. "My son has chosen wisely. He is lucky to have found one of such a pure heart."
Tears formed in Liz's eyes at the Queen Mother's words. "It is I that should be considered the lucky one. Thank you for sending him to me." Her words were spoken from her heart, meaning every one of them completely.
At Liz's statement, Areayan cocked her head slightly. "It wasn't I that arranged this twist of fate. Zan did. He had always known there was someone out there for him, someone that would complete him, someone that would make him whole. His dying words were an oath to find her and he has in this life."

As you all probably have figured out this story is coming to a close. I figure approx. five more chapters. I can't believe I've been writing this story for an entire year. Thanks for all the FB, it's been what's kept this story alive for as long as it has been. Well, here is the next part. Hope you all enjoy it. Let me know what you think.
Title: Escape

Part 70
Max drew Liz closer to him at the Queen Mother's words, whispering in her ear. "I always knew you were the one." It was a simple phrase, one he had told her many times over the past few years. But, now it held all the more meaning to it. Adreayan's words just emphasized it all the more. As Zan he had died vowing he would find the one and he had. Liz was his everything and he had found her just like he had vowed on his death bed in his prior life. Knowing everyone was feeling a little nostalgic in the presence of the woman that had originally given him and his sister life, but knowing there were matters at hand that needed to be dealt with, he inquired. "You stated you've mean kept informed regarding our current situation. Can you verify is what we believe to be true is correct?" Meaning what he and Liz had assumed had to happen, his coronation to the throne, their impending marriage, all of it. This was the first time in his life that Max felt like he was finally going to get the true answers to all his questions that he had and he was anxious for them to be answered.
Nodding her head, Adreayan replied. "Yes, my son. Your thoughts are correct. I have arranged for the Sanctrumist to follow me through the Granolith." Upon the questioning looks on the four faces she clarified. "The Sanctrumist is the only individual qualified to perform the Crowning ceremony. He would be the same as this planets Pope, considered the holiest of holy men on our planet. A testing of the seal will be performed prior to the ceremony by the Sanctrumist, but I should warn you there is a risk. Only the true King of Antar will be able to pass this test. Those who are false in their accusation will not pass and for their deception their fate will be death." Adreayan knew without any doubts that the young man before her was the reincarnation of her son Zan. But, she also knew what the shapeshifters of her solar system were capable of. Though most shapeshifters were loyal to the Royal house of Antar there were many who had been turned to the dark side. Too many to trust what her heart was telling her about the young man that went by Max Evans. If he was truly her son, he would have no fear of the test as he would carry the royal seal inside of him. But, if he was a betrayer to the Royal house of Antar, his fate would soon be discovered.
"Max has already passed a test when he went to that summit in New York by an emissary." Michael quickly spoke up, feeling the need to defend Max's right to the throne, even to his real mother.
Giving Michael a knowing smile, understanding his need to protect her son. "Max passed a test ensured him a place at the summit. The Sanctrumist test is designed to ensure Max a place on the throne of one of the most powerful planets in the universe." She explained, then was quick to add. "There are many that would attempt to gain control of the throne, but only the true King can hold the position without concern of opposition. I have no doubt Max will pass the Sanctrumist's test."
Liz could hear the words the Queen Mother wasn't saying though. Her fear for Max's safety was enough to make her speak up. "What would happen if the Sanctrumist performed the test and the individual that took it didn't pass?" She had to know what the risks of this so called test would be to Max. She had complete faith in Max and in who Max truly was, but she still needed to know no harm would come to him.
Adreayan wasn't surprised that it was Liz who expressed the concerns she herself felt. "Many have attempted to make false accusations to the throne after Zan's death." She paused for a moment before continuing. "The test is not one to accept lightly, the false accuser's fate was dealt with immediately."
"That's what happened to Tess's child, isn't it?" Isabelle now spoke up, her own concern for her brother's safety now obvious.
"The individual that had Ava's essence did make a fale accusation and the child was tested at Kivar's command. The child did not pass." The sadness in Adreayan's voice apparent, she still hated the thought of knowing how an innocent child had suffered due to the false accusation. She could see how Max wrapped his arms tightly around Liz's waist, his hands laying over hers in a protective manner against her middle section. "Max will pass, as will your child. Ava was never chosen by Zan, just like the individual you called Tess had ever been choosen. She never carried the seal to pass to her child. You were choosen and your child will pass the Sanctrumist's test when it is the child's time to rule." Her voice was softly spoken, but it held conviction all the same.
Liz was still nervous, even though Max was the reincarnation of Zan, who had held the title of King and who had apparently passed this test in his prior life. It didn't change the fact that Max wasn't Zan. He wasn't even completely Antarian, for he did carry human DNA within him in this life. Max could feel Liz's anxieties building, he already knew of her concern and pulled her tighter against him. Wanting to reassure her everything would be okay. Although he soothed her with his love, he didn't speak. It wasn't necessary to say the words as he knew she already knew what his thoughts were they were too connected for her not to know.
It was at that moment that the Granolith chamber began the reverse countdown once again, each individual in the room stood quietly knowing it was the Sanctrumist that was coming this time. The time seemed to go by in seconds instead of the minutes it truly was and when the bright light of the Granolith exploded and the individual known as the Sactrumist stepped out of the Granolith itself, the four teens were humbled at the sight before them.
When the Queen Mother had spoken of the individual as a holy man, they hadn't really understood until they laid eyes upon him. His form was one of a human, although his body glowed brightly yellow like the guards had, but his entire form was surrounded in a deep red. The Sanctrumist approached the Queen Mother first, speaking in a language three of the teens knew sounded familiar to them yet they couldn't understand the words spoken. Bowing deeply to the Queen Mother, in Antarian the Sanctrumist stated. "Your Majesty. It is an honor to be present with you once again."
Answering him back in her native language. "The honor is mine Sanctrumist. This is a joyous occasion for all."
The Sanctrumist then looked pass the Queen Mother to the four human creatures who stood behind her. His eyes traveled from Michael, nodding his head as he did so. Then to Isabelle, meeting her eyes too prior to bowing deeply to her. He straightened, then turned to Liz who he once again bowed deeply too, but Liz noticed how his eyes hadn't met hers like he had met both Isabelle and Michael's. Continuing he met Max's eyes and the two of them held each other's eyes. After a few seconds, the Sanctrumist bowed deeply once again, but this time spoke in perfect English. "Your highness."
Max nodded his head formally to the holy man before him. "Sanctrumist, it is an honor to meet with you once again." His voice took on a regal tone, it came natural as if it was an every day occurrences for Max. "I understand you are required to test my claim to the throne prior to proceeding with the crowning ceremony. When would you like to proceed?"
The Sanctrumist motioned for Max to step forward. Liz was reluctant to release Max's hands that she was holding, but with a small reassuring squeeze from Max she let go. Max stepped forward, not sure what to expect, but feeling confident that everything would be okay. Once he stood directly in front of the Sanctrumist, the being stretched forth his hand and Max's body was encased in the same glowing manner as the Sanctrumist. Max could feel his feet leave the ground as his body hovered as if floating on air even though he remained upright.
The symbol of the five planets that were inside of Max's brain, sprang forth highlighting the pod chamber in a bask of light. Max felt his arms raise and his own green energy field then surrounded both himself and the being performing the test. The symbol shined brightly inside the energy field, but the light did not penetrate the energy field. Without even realizing what was happening to him, the others looked on in amazement as Max's body began to spin at an alarming rate, then it seemed to evaporate into tiny particles inside the energy field. Although separate in matter, the particles that made up his body stayed true to form as the symbol of the five planets grew until Max's body particles were surrounded within the symbol itself.
Both Michael and Isabelle's eyes almost popped out of their sockets at the sight before them. Even Adreayan who know what to expect stood watching her son being tested with a sense of pride. In fact everyone was so captivated by what was happening to Max, no one noticed what was happening to Liz at the same time. Liz had stood like in a trance the same as Max had when he was first encased within the beings glow. When Max had raised his energy seal, Liz's hand raised automatically but without Max to help her produce the energy field nothing came of Liz's raised hand. The symbol Max had given her, did however appear from inside of Liz, but once again everyone was so caught up in watching the proceedings that were happening with Max's symbol, no one noticed that Liz's had always penetrated outward.
Liz was so connected to Max, that she could feel everything that was happening to him while it happened, but she herself didn't realize that due to their connection. What was happening to Max, was actually also happening to Liz. Their bond was of one, not two separate entities like most couples. Liz didn't even realize that her feet were no longer touching the ground, just like Max, she too was floating on air.
Max had been solely concentrating on what the Sanctrumist was entrusting him to do. Words weren't spoken, request weren't made orally, but mentally and Max followed the Sanctrumist's lead with total faith. When his body broke apart into particles of matter, it was the Sanctrumist that finally took note of what was happening to the King's chosen mate. But, without the energy field to protect her particles from outside force he knew the smallest of breeze could be deadly. He had never witnessed such a bond before and knew no other bond between mates could be stronger than that of the young King before him and his chosen mate.
The problem being he could do nothing at this point to stop the test until it was finished.
Sensing the concern in the Sanctrumist, Max's particles came together more firmly, even though they were still separated individually, that's when he realized what was happening.
Every piece of him cried out, wanting, no needing to protect Liz, but knowing he couldn't stop what was happening to him now. Liz was standing too far away for him to encase her too inside of his own energy field, so it was either protect himself or her. To Max there was only one choice, the only choice he would ever make. Without hesitation, Max's energy field flew away from his body instantly and surrounded Liz's particles keeping them safe from harm. In doing so, leaving his own body vulnerable in it's current state.
The moment Max's energy field surrounded her, Liz knew what he had done and her own mind screamed out in fear for Max this time. Knowing Max couldn't move from the spot he was held in due to Sanctrumist's own life force holding him in place. Liz commanded the particles of her body to move forward slowly, taking Max's energy field with her as she did so. The two of them weren't very far away from each other, but they might as well be have been hundreds of miles a part as the distance seemed to span a life time at the rate Liz was able to move forward. She was going on faith alone, as she had no idea how she was even able to move at all, but knowing every second that she took to reach Max, it left Max exposed and vulnerable.
Michael, Isabelle and even Adreayan couldn't believe what they were seeing. It was too beyond their wildest imaginations to even comprehend what had happened, what was still happening in front of their eyes. When Max's energy field flew between them and encased itself around Liz, that was the first time they had even realized what had been happening behind them. The three of them held their breath, afraid to even breath as they all understood how just the smallest of air pockets could scatter Max's particles now that he was unprotected by the energy shield. They watched on in amazement along with the Sanctrumist as Liz slowly made her way across the pod chamber to join with Max. The Sancrumist had never seen anything like he was witness to before. Never had a bonded couple that he knew of had the power to due what the two of them seemed to be doing.
Max himself couldn't see what was happening, but he could feel it all the same. His pride for his chosen mate radiated off him in waves as he felt Liz's presence growing stronger with every inch she moved closer to him. He didn't think he could possible love her any more then he already did, but with each new accomplishment she proved him wrong time and time again. He wished he had the ability to reach out and help her in her journey, to guide her in her steps, but he was frozen in place. He was having a hard time just keeping his own particles together without the use of his energy shield to keep them safe. One wrong move and he knew he would be history. But, the strange thing was, he felt no fear, no concerns regarding his life as it literally hung in the balance awaiting his mates arrival. He had complete faith in Liz, complete faith in their love for each other and that's what his essence projected to Liz.
Liz could feel Max's love for her and it only spurred her to continue on her journey. She was getting close, she could feel Max's presence and she pushed herself forward. She felt Max's complete faith in her and she had no intention of letting him down or their love for each other down. Still moving in a slow pace, afraid to move any faster even though every ounce of her screamed to join Max's side. But, not sure how she was willing herself forward as it was and not wanting to take any chances that she would stir the air within the cave that would make Max's particles break apart. So slowly, but surely she continued to push her particles forward as one even though they were not formed together by any sense of the word.
Her essence was so close, he could feel her almost upon him, yet he still couldn't move in fear her valiant effort to reunite them would end when she was just out of arms reach. With every inch her particles moved closer to his, he could feel it. Just as the outer rim of his green energy field touched his particles he felt the swift change in the air around them. Apparently someone had entered the pod chamber and in doing so interrupted the air around his particles. He could literally feel himself being pulled apart and then she was there. Surrounding him not only inside the energy field, but Liz herself or what made up her body was surrounding him. Not just surrounding him, but blending with him. Making their two entities becoming one.
Liz felt the air moving in behind her, she could feel Max's reside that the fates were never going to allow him to have his inner peace with her as his particles began to be swept apart by the change in air movement. Without hesitation or thinking she flung herself along with the energy field into Max. The next thing she new, Max was surrounding her. Not just surrounding her, but his body was blending with hers. Not even in their most intimate physical times did she feel this kind of intimacy. Although most people would find what was happening to them a bit scary, both Max and Liz welcomed each other's particles as they blended as one. Their particles embraced completely within the other's. The royal symbol that they both held inside of them, brightened around them. The light was so bright it actually put the sun to shame. When the brightness began to dim, they knew it was time to divide themselves back into their true form, but neither wanted to let go.
In fact they were reluctant to separate even after the Sanctrumist willed them to do so. Not willing to separate completely, they held on to each other in a tight embrace as their bodies began to reform into Max Evans and Liz Parker. Once back to their original human form, Max cupped Liz's face within his hands and whispered dearly. "God, I love you." Then brought his lips down to take hers in a soul searching kiss.
When they finally pulled away, they looked to the Sanctrumist. Unsure what he was going to say since the test Max was to perform was obviously interrupted unexpectantly. The Sanctrumist released his life force that had previously only surround Max, but currently surrounded both Max and Liz together and stated humbly. "You have passed the test." As he bowed deeply. He paused briefly then was quick to add. "Both of you have passed."
Liz turned to face Max, not sure how he was going to respond to what the Sanctrumist had just informed them. The pride he felt for her shined brightly in his eyes, causing Liz to smile just as bright. The two of them together turned to face their friends and family when they noticed Maria standing in Michael's arms. Her eyes were as wide as they could go, her skin pale as if drained of all it's blood. Her mouth opened and she said the only thing she could think to say. "OH MY GOD!" Then proceeded to pass out in Michael's arms.

Part 71
Andreayan approached Max and Liz immediately after the Sanctrumist confirmed they had both passed. "My son, you have chosen wisely in this life. I should have forced my husband, your father to listen to you in your last life. It is obvious that you knew the soul you should have been joined with from the beginning. Please, forgive our arrogance in thinking we understood what was best for our planet and our solar system."
Max met the women's eyes that had originally given him life twice. "There is nothing to forgive. If it hadn't been for you sending me here, I never would have met Liz. So instead of forgiveness, I should be offer you my sincere thanks."
Andreayan met Max's eyes with a slight confusion at his words. She turned to the Sanctrumist who had stood silent. By the look the two of them shared, both Max and Liz could tell they were silently debating if they should tell them something or not. The Sanctrumist finally nodded and Andreayan spoke once again. "It wasn't I that had your essence sent to this planet. It was you. At least it had been Zan who had made that decision. Zan understood his responsibilities to the crown would be to someday marry and sire an heir from a very young age. He had traveled throughout our world, along to the other four planets of our solar system seeking his own true love. We believed Avarian was a good match for both you and our planet. Zan had been introduced to her at a diplomatic party given by his friend Larek. He had been taken by her beauty, but to our dismay refused to be betrothed to her, stating he knew she wasn't the one. But, when your father passed away, his time to search for his one was at an end. Knowing his duty, he proceeded with plans to marry Avarian."
Picking up the story, the Sanctrumist spoke up. "After his coronation ceremony, Zan requested to speak with me. He informed me then, that he accepted his duty to both the crown and to his planet and requested that I be the one to perform the bonding ceremony. I was honored and eagerly accepted his request. Then he proceeded to inform me, that he had yet to find his chosen mate. I had already accepted his request to perform the bonding ceremony, so I was unable to refuse his request. It was then that he confided with me, that he feared his demise would come before he could form a proper four square to protect himself and his loved ones. At the time, I felt he was just nervous about his upcoming marriage so I didn't take heed of his words. He formed a connection with me just as he was getting ready to take his leave, the connection was quick and over with before I had time to process what he had passed to me. It wasn't until after his death and Andreayan came to me with the hybrid plans to recreate the royal four that the memory of that connection returned. It was Zan's soul that had given both Andreayan and myself guidance."
"Zan, Ava, Rath and Volondra were killed during the bonding ceremony of Zan and Avarian. At that time, we assumed the four had been killed to prevent you from forming a four square so when I began the hybrid process, I insisted Avarian be included with the three of you." Andreayan admitted sadly.
"I would not go against my Queen's wishes, just the same as I would not go against yours, your majesty. Even though your soul had connected to mine and I knew in my heart that Avarian was not a true part of the four square that you needed to be able to rule Antar, I agreed with the Queen Mother." The Sanctrumist turned and met Liz's eyes for the first time since he had arrived on the planet. "It is your soul I felt within the connection that Zan had made with me all those years ago. Zan had known then the soul that would complete his.
It had been you all along."
Max could feel Liz's emotions running high. He had known Liz was the one for him the moment he had first laid eyes on her. According to the Sanctrumist, he had known long before then even and Max couldn't help the wave of love that leapt from his soul into Liz's. He turned her body in his arms, smiling down upon her face, he whispered softly. "I always knew you were the one." Before he placed a simple kiss upon her lips.
Maria had stirred awake in Michael's arms seconds after she had fainted. Michael, Maria and Isabelle had stood quietly listening to the tale the Queen Mother and the Sanctrumist had told. They had all knew there was something special between Max and Liz, but they were always amazed with each new piece of information that was revealed to them. "Did that just happen? I mean, did I imagine it or were Max and Liz disassembled and then reformed again?"
Maria finally broke the silence still trying to comprehend what she had originally walked in on in the pod chamber.
"If you imagined it, then my imagination is tied to yours." Michael admitted, he was still in awe at what he had been witnessed to."
"That makes three of us." Isabelle stated, she too was totally unprepared for what had just happened.
Max and Liz turned to their friends and family once they heard their voices. They had been so wrapped up in the tale being told to them and in each other that they had completely forgotten about anyone else being in the pod chamber. "Maria, are you okay?" Liz voiced her concern for her friend first.
"What the hell was that Liz?" I mean, are you okay?" Maria was just as concerned for her friend's well being as Liz was for her.
Liz looked up at Max, before looking back at her best friend. "Yeah, I'm more then okay. I'm sorry if I freaked you out. I didn't know that was going to happen."
"Well, it's not everyday you see your friend turn into some kind of vapor stuff and then return to herself a few minutes later. Are you sure your okay?"
Liz nodded, then it was Michael that questioned. "Why did you come inside the chamber anyway Maria, I thought we agreed you were going to wait with everyone else so we could verify everything was safe before I came to get you?"
"I did wait, until the light show of the century started once again and I needed to make sure everything was okay in here. That Mannero guy was biting at the bit when I ran up the hill. I'm pretty sure he didn't think I could maneuver out of his grip quite so fast. I'm just thankful Mom held him back from following me. If you thought I brought a draft with me, can you imagine what the whole flock of us would have done to the air in here." Offering an apologizing look toward Max. "Sorry, didn't know you would be fallen apart on me."
Max could only smile at his *girlfriend's* antics. She was an original and Max couldn't have asked for a better match for Michael. "It's all right Maria, next time I'm about to pull a part like that, I'll be sure to let you know prior to doing it so you won't accidentally scatter my atoms across kingdom come." He joked back with her, knowing only with Maria could he joke about something like that and it would be all right. Liz stood by his side and simply shook her head. She of all people knew how special a person Maria was and it made her heart feel good that her best friend and her soulmate were so close.
"So what happens now or should I even ask? I mean there are quite a few people waiting for us outside, but if your going to pull another out of your body sequences I doubt many would be able to handle it." Michael asked, knowing the Evans probably would have heart failure if they had witnessed what Max had just been through. He didn't even want to think what the Parker's would have done. Accepting them as alien hybrids was one thing, to have to see what being part alien was all about. That was another thing entirely.
Max turned to the Santrumist who seemed amused at how their group interacted with each other, he assumed back in his previous life not many individuals spoke to him in the same mannerism. He had been born a prince, been crowned a king and he bet his whole other life people talked to him with respect. But, here in this life, he was Max Evans and his friends talked to him like friends, not like he was a King. Max briefly thought of Kyle and the way he often gave him grief at being El Presidenta. "Liz have already been through a bonding ceremony of our souls, but I would be honored if you would agree to marry us once the crowning ceremony has taken place."
"As you wish your majesty."
"Nothing really odd is going to happen during the crowning ceremony, is it? Or do I need to get my cedar oils before we start." Maria asked, after what she had just witnessed, she didn't put anything past what to expect next and next time she intended to be prepared.
Andreayan gave a small smile to the girl the Michael had chosen to be his mate. She could see in just the short amount of time that she had come to be in the girl's presence that she was a good match for her son's second in command. "No, the crowning ceremony should be enjoyed by all." She assured the small blond haired character.
"Uh, Maria this is the Queen Mother, Andreayan. Andreayan, I'd like you to meet the woman I plan to marry as soon as possible. Ms. Maria DeLuca." Michael introduced the two women to each other. Not quite sure how the Queen Mother was going to take the news of his intention to marry Maria and not her daughter Isabelle. After all the two of them had been engaged in their previous life.
"It's an honor to meet you Ms. DeLuca. I couldn't ask for a more perfect match for Michael."
She gave Maria a slight nod of approval and Maria let out the breath that she hadn't even realized she was holding. She had the same thoughts as Michael had and with the approval of the Queen Mother, Maria found a sense of acceptance that she hadn't known she had needed until this very minute.
"Thank you." Maria stated quietly, then in full blown Maria still spoke up. "You're really a Queen, aren't you?"
Nodding her head and giving Maria a full blown smile. "Yes, but my reign will end soon." She turned her head in Liz's direction. "It is time for the next generation to begin again."
"Well, let's get this show on the road, shall we?" Michael's impatience was showing brightly once again.
Everyone looked to Max to confirm he was ready, with his slight nod, Max turned the Queen Mother. "Where do you wish to do this?"
"Let's step outside, the Granolith will do the rest." Andreayan stated as she motioned for the group to exit the pod chamber.
Once outside the chamber, Max noticed how the Sanctrumist remained just inside the chamber.
"Aren't you coming?" He inquired unsure why the Sanctrumist had not followed them out.
"I do not need to witness your crowning, you're already my King. This ceremony is for the people to instill hope back into their hearts. I will remain here and help direct the energy from the Granolith to the Queen Mother as she commands it to due her bidding." Was his replied to the young King.
Max accepted his word, with Liz by his side he stepped forward to take back what was rightfully his to have. The sun was just starting to set in the horizon and the people that had followed them out to the cave including Max's adopted parents met the alien group at the bottom of the hill. The Queen Mother's protectors had formed a circle around her when she had exited the cave. But, as the Evan's approached their adopted son and daughter, the Queen Mother held her hand up to let them know they were not needed. As before, the Queen Mother seemed to glide to the group of humans who had come to lay witness to Max's crowning in lieu of actually walking. "Mom, Dad, I would like you to meet Queen Andreayan." It didn't go unnoticed by either Andreayan and the Evan's that Max had not formally introduced her as his mother. Diane had been down right scared to death of this moment. Fearing she would lose her children to another mother who had every right to claim them. Max's introduction eased her fear some, but not completely.
Andreayan could not only see the fear in the two individual's eyes that had raised her children into the individual's they were today, but she could also sense it. It wasn't the fear of being in the presence of other life forms. No, it was the fear of having their children taken from them. She knew how her children felt for these two humans and she couldn't have been more grateful to anyone then to these two that had given her children a place to call home. "Words cannot express my gratitude for what you have given our children. I may have given them life, but you were able to give them the love I was unable to give in this life time. You do not need to fear your place in their lives, for you are the mother in their hearts."
Diane Evans couldn't hold back her tears at her words. They had all been told that it was improper to touch the Queen, but Diane couldn't stop herself and threw her arms around the woman that had given up her children for her to raise. The Queen Mother's guards took a step forward as if they were about to pull Diane away from their Queen, when Liz turned her head toward them and without saying a word each one stepped back in line to bid as their new Queen commanded. The two woman embraced each other, both understanding that neither of them had been or would be replaced by the other. They were both a part of Max and Isabelle's lives and would continue to be so.
After the emotional introduction to his parents, Max made a formal introduction to the other individuals that had chosen to come to see him be crowned King. "I believe it is time to begin." Andreayan announced to everyone before turning to Max. "Are you ready to become the man you were always meant to be?" She questioned.
Max took hold of Liz's hand, nodded his head once ever so slightly, then turned to Garock and Tetro. Meeting their eyes he gave them the one command, he knew they would have done without being told and the two aliens stepped on either side of Liz as Max stepped away.
It was Michael that stepped next to Max without any orders needed to be issued. "I've got your back." He whispered to his friend.
Andreayan raised her hands above her head, closed her eyes and to everyone's amazement the desert sand before them began to shimmer into something other then just a desert of sand, rock and cacti. Two wide columns formed with an archway connecting them in the middle. The symbol of the whirlwind galaxy literally glowed from the middle of the archway. Two small columns completed a semi circle. One held a what appeared to be a sword, but no sword that any human had ever seen. The other held a gold crown that held one single jewel in the front of the crown. A jewel unlike any on Earth, but everyone could see it was indeed a rare jewel. Inside the jewel was the symbol of the whirlwind galaxy. Adreayan then glided to the archway before turning back to address not only those around her, but she seemed to be addressing thousands or millions of individuals. "Our planets have waited a life time to be reunited. The Royal House of Antar is alive today and I Queen Andreayan of the Royal House of Antar am proud to turn the reign of my throne over to my son once again. The one and true King of Antar, Maxwell Philip Evans. May his reign be one of peace and just."
Without even realizing he had started to walk toward the Queen Mother, Max's moved forward until he stood in front of her. Kneeling at the Queen Mother's feet and bowing his head deeply forward. Andreayan turned to the first column and raised the sword like weapon. She brought it down and placed it one Max's left side. "To seeking truth." Then his right side. "To serving truth." To the humans who stood watching, it looked as if she was knighting Max. Then she placed the sword like object upon the center of Max's head. "To honoring truth." Removing the sword from Max, she commanded. "Rise and accept your destiny." Max rose to his feet as the Queen Mother turned to the other column. Picking up the crown, she placed it upon his bent head. "By accepting this crown, you are legally binded to the thrown and to the people it represents. Due you accept your position as King
of Antar."
"I do." Max stated sincerely and lifted his head. The jewel from the crown glowed brightly surrounding Max in a shimmering of gold. Andreayan bowed before her newly crowned King acknowledging him as the one true King, placing the sword like object at his feet. Max placed his hand upon her head and a cheer rose out of no where. It sounded as if millions of souls had been reunited for the first time in decades and their cries of joy could be heard across the universe.
Andreayan rose and stepped down from the archway leaving Max alone. He was still surrounded in a gold shimmer of light, but he could clearly be seen. He nodded his head toward Liz, then his adopted mother and father, then his sister, then to Michael. When he lifted his head one last time another cheer of acceptance went up. Although none of the individual's on Earth could see who was the voices of those cheering, they knew it was Max's people. Not just from Antar, but from the entire whirlwind galaxy. If there was ever any doubt before there was none now. Max was a true King and people in a galaxy far away were in jubilation of joy over his crowning. Maxwell Philip Evans of the planet Earth, followed his destiny and was officially once again the King of Antar, ruling planet of the whirlwind galaxy.

Part 72
Max stood upon the archway made from the Granolith humbled. For before him, he could see the crowds that had gathered on so many different planets. Not just those that stood before here on Earth, that included his friends and family, but so many individual images from other places, other planets. He understood the Granolith was projecting his image to those individuals that were on the other planets, but it all felt so real. He not only could see images and hear their voices, but he could also feel everything. From the smell of the air, to how the individuals from each of the planets felt about this day. The bottom line was simple, it was humbling to be welcomed so completely by so many. He had been told of his destiny, had known someday he would have to accept it, but he never truly understood what that destiny meant until this moment in time. All those individuals had waited for so long for the true King's return, in hopes of peace and prosperity to return to their lives once again.
With Liz being so connected with Max, she too could feel all he was feeling and she too was humbled by the response of all those individuals that were in another galaxy far, far away.
Her heart was bursting with pride for her soon to be husband. She had always known Max was the most kindest man she had ever met and she never doubted for an instance what kind of King he would make. As much as she wanted to run to him and throw her arms around him. She knew this moment in time wasn't about them, this was Max's time to shine and she loved him too much to try to take even one-second away from him. So instead she sent him her love to him through their connection.
Feeling her love and acceptance wrap around his heart and soul, gave him the courage to speak. Each planet had their own language, but language wasn't a problem. Just like he could hear and understand all the different voices from the five other planets, he was confident they would be able to understand his words. The archway developed by the Granolith was much more than just a place where he was crowned the true King of Antar, it was a communication vessel. "My fellow Antarians and our guest that have joined together today. I stand before you, humbled by your acceptance. I have been blessed with a second chance to help our planets unite in peace and live in harmony. I pledge to you with everything that is in me to honor your acceptance as your King with fairness and just. It is time for us to stand together, for if we do not, it is all of us that will fail. Not just us, in the here and now. But, for our children and their children. I ask now, the good people of Antar and our friends and neighbors. Will you grant me your loyalty to the house of Zan and help me bring upon our galaxy the peace we have all sought for the past several decades?"
Roars of cheers could be heard for miles as those loyal to the royal house of Antar united to give their loyalty to the true King of Antar. Max stood in the archway totally blown away by his acceptance as King. He could not only see with his eyes, hear with his ears, but he could also feel the feelings that swept through the other individuals on the five different planets from the Whirlwind galaxy. He watched as the individuals on the different planets began to kneel and bow deeply, in a show of respect toward the acceptance of him as their King. Looking over at those who had come with him on this day to lay witness to his crowning. He saw Garock, Tetro and the men that had come with them to protect Liz all bowed. Just like the men who had escorted the Queen Mother, were also in a deep bow of respect. When his eyes laid upon Michael and saw his oldest friend bowed before him, it finally struck him how much his life was about to change.
Liz could feel Max's conflict at having Michael bowed before him. She understood exactly what he was feeling. For Michael wasn't just his second in command, he was his friend, his brother and to have Michael bow the same as all the other individuals just felt off. Since she was the one standing next to him at the time, she laid her hand upon Michael's shoulder. "Max was your friend long before he became your King." Was all she stated, but with those words Michael knew what she was saying. Max had enough people bowing to his feet, although Michael would show him the respect he deserved. Max needed him to continue to be his friend and brother more then he needed another loyal subject. With that knowledge Michael stood back up, nodded to Max and the two brothers shared a knowing smile.
Adreayan, felt the pride she had felt for her son the first time she had witnessed him being crowned and accepted in the position of King.
Looking over to his human adopted parents, she could see they were feeling the same kind of pride that she currently felt. His mate's parents also had an awed expression on their faces as the reality of who their future son in law truly was, along with the other human friends and family of Max. Their group was loyal and tight knit and their was no doubt in her mind, they would risk their own lives to ensure the safety of each other. Their loyalty wasn't to the crown, but to the individual person that held the crown. Glancing over to Liz, she knew it was time to announce the upcoming nuptials. As the Queen Mother it was her duty to be the one to make this announcement, she felt confident that her one time son had chosen wisely and their love for each other would surpass the final test.
Once again her body glided up the archway to join her son. She whispered in his hear her intentions and with a simple nod, she began.
"My good people, as most of you are aware your King has already chosen his mate to stand beside him. It gives me great honor to introduce you to your future Queen. Miss Elizabeth Ann Parker."
Max out stretched his hand, requesting Liz to join him up on the archway. Liz, hesitated only for a moment. The fear of the unknown lingering in the back of her mind and the fear of Max's people being unable to accept her as their Queen creeping into her mind. But, as a wave of love from Max wrapped around her soul, all fears were squashed and she took her first step toward the archway with confidence and grace. As she accepted Max's hand and stepped upon the archway, the golden shimmer that currently surrounded Max also engulfed her.
The crowd grew eerily silent for just a mere moment in time, but for those few seconds that Liz stood there awaiting their approval of her union to Max felt more like an eternity to Liz. Max squeezed her hand trying to offer her reassurance that all was going to be okay, then raised his hand to the back of her head. The royal seal of Antar expelled from Liz's forehead, showing that she was indeed already bonded to Max and that she deserved all the respect and loyalty his people gave to him herself. As soon as the royal seal exploded in a bright light from Liz's forehead cheers of acceptance of their future Queen could be heard and felt by all. Tears of joy misted in both Liz and Max's eyes as they both knew in that moment, all the heartache was behind them. With Liz's acceptance by the individual's in the Whirlwind galaxy, there was no more doubts about their future. They would finally get their happy ever after.
Andreayan had not anticipated Max showing that he had already bond himself to Liz, but now that it had been done, she had no choice but to make the offer of challenge as it was custom in their society. She approached the happy couple and offered her acceptance of their pairing by hugging them both. As she did, she whispered softly for their ears only. "Have faith in the love you share." Then once again addressed the people of her home galaxy. "I decree the joining of our King and your future Queen take place this evening at sunset." She offered another reassuring smile to the happy couple before she begun again. "As in custom, hear me now. If there is any legal challenger to this union, let the challenge be made prior to sunset or the validity of the challenge will not be granted."
Liz looked immediately to Max with questioning eyes, what was this about a challenge? Who would be challenged? Max had already been accepted as their King, so would they challenge her bonding to Max? Or would they challenge Max for the throne and if so, what did that mean to the two of them? So many questions ran through her mind, but as much as Max wanted to reassure her, he himself didn't know the needed information to truly reassure her that everything would be okay. Seeing the questioning and worried expression that came across their two faces, Andreayan offered the only reassuring words she could at this moment in time. "Trust in your love for each other and your love will be victorious."
Meanwhile their Earth bound friends and family were already questioning what this challenge meant. Maria looked up to the one person she trusted her life and heart to for answers. "Michael?" For if anyone knew exactly what all Max and Liz had gone through to be where they were today, it was the two of them and right now, Maria needed Michael to tell her everything was going to be okay.
Michael could hear all the questions that Maria wasn't asking with her voice, but asked quite clearly with just saying his name. He tried to give her a reassuring look, but even he knew it was a lame attempt. That was always their main problem, not having the information to make the proper decisions. Since they had come out of their incubation pods it had been a struggle to find out who they were? Why they were here?
No, this time the stakes were too high and Michael vowed to get his brother and his future Queen the information they would need to be successful and get their happy ever after once and for all. Turning to the only person he knew would have the answers he sought after, he demanded those answers. "Garock, what's this challenge all about?"
Garock didn't hesitate to provide the answers the King's second in command wanted. "Max revealed that Liz now holds the royal seal already, proving that he not only has chosen her as his mate, but that he has already bonded to her. But, since they are not legally wed, his position as King can be challenged."
"What? But, we just all witness him being crowned King. How could someone challenge for his throne now? Like Max was a no body or something." Maria interrupted not liking what Garock was saying.
"Max is not a no body, he is our rightful King." Garock immediately defended his King. "Since Max and Liz have done things a little different, they have opened up the possibility that a legal challenger can challenge Max's right to the throne."
"What do you mean by legal challenger?" Michael was quick to ask, needing to make sure he understood what Max and Liz were up against.
"Only an individual of the royal house can challenge the King. The bloodline must be from the royal house or the challenge wouldn't be legal. Much like what had occurred when Kivar had tried to take the throne by force. He was never accepted as the true King, because he had no royal blood to make a rightful claim to the throne."
"So if their is an individual who is a member of the royal house and has right due to his royal blood line, why hadn't this individual challenged Kivar before all this for the throne?" Michael questioned trying to fit all the pieces to the puzzle together.
"Kivar only took the throne by force, he was never in a position that needed to be challenged. Because, he never held the position as King.
If someone of royal blood would have challenged him, it would have made his claim to the throne legal. So instead the royal house was destined to accept Kivar until the time that the true King could reclaim his throne."
"Okay, okay. Let's get back to this challenge thing. What exactly does this mean to Max and Liz?"
"If a challenger offers a challenge, Max will have to fight for the right to stand with Liz and keep his throne."
"What like an alien duel or something?" This time it was Kyle who spoke up. Visions of Max and a faceless individual taking ten steps away from each other, turning and raising their hands in battle raced through his mind.
Garock threw Kyle a questioning look, clearly not understanding what he was implying. He turned back to Michael and could see he wanted him to finish his explanation of the challenge, he continued. "Max and the challenger would not fight in a battle, they would fight for Liz's heart."

Thanks so much for all the wonderful FB, I only hope I did this part justice.
Anyway, here is the new part. Let me know what you think.

Part 73
At Garock's statement, Maria couldn't help herself when she immediately started to giggle at the ridiculous notion that anyone would be able to be successful in winning Liz's heart away from Max. Not to mention having to do it, in a matter of hours. No, Liz and Max were soulmates to the extreme. If there was ever a truth to that word, soulmate. It was Max and Liz. For the first time since hearing the Queen Mother make her offer, Maria didn't feel nervous at all. After her uncontrolled laughter, finally got under control, she had to ask just to make sure she heard correctly. "Your joking, right? I mean come on, no one on this planet or any other planet could ever even come close to turning Liz's heart away from Max." She could feel her own giggles wanting to burst forward all over again with just the thought of how idiotic the entire idea was.
Garock who felt confident in his King and his future Queen wanted to share in Marie's confidence. But, he knew if a challenger was to step forward, it wouldn't be a walk in the park for his King. "If the mind is not strong enough, one's heart can be persuaded." He offered to the group of individual's who had joined in the conversation.
"No way man, I don't think you really understand the whole Max and Liz thing. I know all too well what any challenger is up against and I'm telling you, the fact is no one stands a chance." Kyle offered up, for it was he who had lost Liz to Max in the first place. Remembering back when he thought he still stood a chance with Liz after their initial breakup in high school. It would have to take a blind man not to see what was so obvious. On this, he would definitely agree with Maria, Max and Liz were soulmates if there ever were such a thing.
Seeing the look on Garock's face, Michael realized it wasn't going to be easy for Max as they all assumed. Yes, he knew how much Max loved Liz, hell he was his best friend and watched him pine for Liz for as long as he could remember. For the past several years he had seen their relationship grow from the good, to the bad and back. No, he didn't doubt how much the two of them loved each other, but he had seen too much not to agree with Garock's statement. If there was a challenger to step forward it wasn't going to be a walk in the park.
Before Michael could say anything though, their attention was brought back to the archway by a loud swirling sound. He, along with his friends watched in amazement as a form started to appear in the archway. He barely registered Maria's, "Of My God!" statement as the form started to take shape. In a matter of seconds, a man stood on the archway with the Queen Mother, Max and Liz.
Maria had seen so much since she had become a member of the I know an Alien club, but with each new occurrence her mind found it hard to grasp. She watched in shock as a man who stood tall in height, with a body that seemed to be carved from greek god statue joined her two close friends on the archway. His hair was jet black, his eyes were a deep blue, that almost looked violet in coloring. Talk about a dark haired mystery man from an exotic place, were her first thoughts. But, when the sound of his voice reached her ears, deep, husky and erotic. Her earlier thoughts of confidence were being replace quickly with nervousness for her friends and their future happy ever after.
"Your highness." The man stated as he bowed to the Queen Mother, then to Max, then lastly to Liz as he took her hand and brought it to his lips for a soft tender kiss. "I am Jaret, from the royal house of Antar and I come to offer my challenge for Miss Elizabeth Ann Parker's hand." His eyes meeting Liz's head on as he spoke.
Liz was taken back by the stranger's bold forwardness. She quickly pulled her hand back and took a step behind Max self-consciously to put distance between the two of them. When he had kissed her hand and met her eyes, it had caused a tingling sensation to run through her body that literally scared the crap out of her. Max could feel Liz's uneasiness through their connection and wrapped his arms around her waist in a protective manner. "Liz will be my wife and no others." He stated confidently. He had fought to hard and for too long to lose her now. He didn't really understand how this challenge thing worked, but when it came to Liz, he was more than up for any challenge.
"Jaret?" Andreayan questioned, having not expected Jaret of all individual's to challenge Max.
Jaret met Andreayan's eyes. "It is my duty, legally and rightfully to challenge." In that one small statement, Andreayan understood why Jaret had stepped up to challenge. If Kivar had not taken the throne by force and Zan had past without any heir, it would have been Jaret who would have been crowned King. Because of his status in the royal house, it was up to him to confirm the union between Max and Liz. Between his King and his future Queen. It wasn't because he wished to stand between the two of them, but it was his duty to confirm that the two of them would be able to stand united. By doing so, unite their planet and the planets of his galaxy together.
Andreayan nodded her understanding at his statement. "The challenge has been accepted." She stated and then turned to Max and Liz. "Liz, it is now up to you to accept the legal challenge, but bare in mind, if you refuse your marriage to Max may never be sanctioned by the people of our planet."
"What do you mean?" Max spoke up, not understanding what she was saying. The people had already accepted him as King and he was more then sure that the people had accepted Liz as their future Queen. So how would it be possible that their marriage would never be sanctioned by the people.
The Queen Mother knew all too well what Max was questioning. Softly she smiled at her one time son. "Once a legal challenge has been made, if not accepted there will always be doubt among the people if the marriage between their King and Queen is a valid one."
Max nodded his head in understanding to the woman who had once given him life. He turned to Liz. "You don't have to do this. I told you once before, I don't care about any of this. You, are all that matters to me." He spoke softly and from his heart.
Liz couldn't help the wave of love her heart burst forward with at Max's words. She knew he spoke the truth, he would turn his back on all of this, if she asked him to. He would be happy and content to spend the rest of their lives as a normal happy couple. But, she knew she could never ask that of him. He had always had a purpose to fulfill in life and she wasn't about to deny him, nor all those individuals that were expecting him to accept his destiny to deny it now. "I trust in our love." She whispered softly, before turning back to Andreayan and Jaret. "I accept your challenge." She stated confidently that the love she shared with Max could never be questioned or lost.
Andreayan nodded in acceptance, knowing this petite, brown haired creature was so much stronger than anyone would ever really know. "Take Jaret's hand and Max's hand." As soon as she stepped forward and took Jaret's hand, Andreayan announced. "The challenge has begun."
To everyone that was watching, it seemed that Liz was simply standing there just holding hands with her two suitors. But, what the eye couldn't see was all that was taking place inside Liz's mind once she had taken hold of Jaret's hand. It took Jaret a few minutes to form a connection with Liz, in doing so he allowed his mind to retract images and memories that were stored deep inside of her mind. Because of her connection to Max, he could also see deep inside of his mind at the same time. Within a half an hour, Jaret knew the story of Max and Liz as if he had lived it himself. He seen everything, felt all their emotions, from the moment Max had stepped off the bus and laid eyes on Liz for the first time, to their budding friendship after he had saved her life. He was assaulted with their love, their anger, their hurt and their sacrifices.
At the same time both Max and Liz were assaulted with imagines and feelings from Jaret's mind. They saw the what his life had been like for the past several decades, waiting and watching his fellow Antarians being butchered and turned into slaves by Kivar and his minions. Wanting to fight, but knowing he couldn't without taking the risk of acknowledging Kivar to the throne. His position as part of the royal house preventing him from taking the action his entire soul scream to take. They felt his loneliness and his desire to find a mate who would make him feel alive once again. The last images and feelings of emotions they both felt was the pride inside of him as the realization that Max was once again King. They also felt the wave of desire that threw him for a loop when his eyes laid upon Liz for the first time and then the sadness as the reality that she belonged to another took hold.
Their souls bared open to each of them, nothing was held back and once every aspect was revealed it was time for the true challenge to begin.
Jaret knew what he had to do, knew what he was about to do was going to be one of the hardest things he had ever had to do, but it was his duty. So he began to replay images he had received from Liz back to her. Every heart ache she had lived in the past few years were replayed in her mind as if she was just experiencing them for the first time all over again. When Max told Liz that they weren't meant to be during the heatwave. When Max took a step back from their relationship. Another replay of Max telling Liz they weren't meant to be together. Max's instant attraction to Tess and when he had kissed Tess right after telling her she was the one. Max's voice once again stating. "We aren't meant to be together." When she walked away from Max after hearing his destiny for the first time and how he had let her go. "We aren't meant to be together." Rang out loudly and clearly once again. How their one and only time attending prom ended with Max kissing Tess. "We aren't meant to be." The way Max disbelieved her about Alex's death and the way he mistreated her afterward. "We aren't meant to be."
Tears ran freely down Liz's cheeks as she was forced to relive some of the most painful experiences of her life, with Max's voice repeating over and over in her mind. "We aren't meant to be." The images continued on. Max telling her how he spent the night with Tess and she was pregnant with his child. "We aren't meant to be." After Tess's departure, Max stating he had to save his son, reminding her of his betrayal to her. "We aren't meant to be." Max's attempt to leave the planet with the help of Langley, watching him check his phone, seeing he knew the call was from her and ignoring it anyway. "We aren't meant to be." The final image played with her riding on the bus to escape from her life in Roswell, her life with Max. "We aren't meant to be. We aren't meant. We aren't meant. We aren't meant."
"STOP!" Max commanded, his own heart breaking as he had relived all the pain and heartache right along side Liz. He knew he had hurt her many times, but until this very moment. He never realized how much pain he had truly caused her. He could feel her anguish over all the events that Jaret had made them relive through and he refused to allow her to have to suffer any further as there was no doubt in his mind that there were more pain and suffering still to come.
Jaret broke the connection between the three of them at Max's command.
He maybe a challenger with the legal right to make his challenge as hard as it had to be to prove that Max and Liz shouldn't be allowed to wed, but Max was still his King. He was still loyal to his King and if the King commanded him to stop, he had to follow that command. "Your majesty, the challenge is yet to end. It is my right to request permission to continue my challenge." Jaret stated, hating the thought that he would be the one to cause his future Queen the pain he knew he would, but knowing it was his duty to fulfill the challenge to the end.
Tears were shining in Max's eyes, he hated the idea of Liz in any pain. Especially pain that he had caused her himself. "Liz?" He questioned, it was her choice. He wasn't about to allow Jaret to continue in the challenge if she wanted the pain to stop. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. We can stop now, I can't bare to make you feel any more pain."
Liz understood what Max was saying. Once again offering to give up everything for her, but in her mind the only thing he would be giving up would be on them if they stopped now. Looking Max straight in the eye, she stated sternly, asking the one thing that Max had never really done since their relationship had started. "Then fight for me."

Part 74
In that instant Max knew exactly what Liz was asking, what she needed.
He gave her a small nod, then reached for her hand once again while gesturing for her to take Jaret's hand. The difference this time though Max also took Jaret's other hand. Jaret had shown her all the pain and heartache the two of them had been through. Yes, most of it was his own doing, but one thing Jaret didn't know, no one really could understand was the connection he and Liz had. It wasn't of their minds, or just with their hearts, but it was more...deeper. They were a part of each other's souls and Max knew it was time for him to stand up and fight for the soul that made his complete.
The instant the three of them stood in a small tight circle, hands connecting their minds together, Max let loose. Since he and Liz were so connected, he didn't just send out his love for her, but her love to him to not only Liz, but to Jaret also. A love so powerful that it was blinding. A depth of feeling unlike anyone could have every imagined.
Jaret may have believed that he understood due to their connection that their relationship had too much pain and suffering to truly survive a life time of happiness. But, Max knew the pain and suffering they had both endured had never been caused by hate, but because of love. Their love was so strong they would have done anything to ensure the other's happiness. Even at the cost of pain to themselves. It was time to put an end to this once and for all. The love they shared was too strong, too pure to be twisted into something it wasn't.
Wave after wave of love, in it's purest form raced through Max, into both Liz and Jaret. The feelings were so raw, so indescribable that it literally shocked Jaret's soul. When he had connected to Liz, he had felt her love for Max and Max's love for Liz. But, he had pushed those feelings aside to look at their relationship from a different angle. As their love for each other, crashed into his soul, it simple blew him away. It was simply beautiful and he had never in his life experienced anything like it. Nor, he feared would he ever have the pleasure to experience that kind of love for himself. Even if he searched for a thousand years. The love that flowed through Max and Liz's soul was simply breathtaking in it's truest form.
Unable to take the sensation of their love any longer, it was Jaret that broke the connection this time. He had seen what he needed to see. Felt what he had needed to feel. Never in his life would he ever doubt that Max, his King was meant to have Elizabeth Ann Parker as his Queen. "Forgive my doubts, you majesty. I will never doubt either of you again. I stand humbly before you and offer my pledge of loyalty to both my King and my Queen." He bowed his head in a show of respect to both Max and Liz.
Liz was too filled with emotion from what Max had just done to even attempt to speak. Tears of joy and happiness now replaced the tears of pain and suffering that had traced down her face a few moments ago. She looked into Max's eyes, her voice unable to put into words the emotions she had felt right then. Cupping her face gently with his two strong hands Max spoke the words that they both were feeling. "I love you." It was just three simple words, but three words that held so much meaning. I'll always love you. We WERE meant to be together. You are the only one I'll ever love. I'll always fight for you. You are my other half, my soul. Yes, it was only three small words that were spoken, but their meaning held so much more.
Andreayan had begun to worry, when Liz's tears first started to form in her eyes when Liz, Max and Jaret had first connected. A small doubt began to form in her mind that her plan wouldn't be successful. For she knew if Max was challenged in public for the love of Liz and was successful in winning, there would never ever be another that would attempt to challenge the two of them ever again. It was risky to say the least, but she had faith in her one time son and soon to be daughter in law. She had seen it with her own eyes in the cave when the Sanctrumist had verified Max's legal right to the thrown. But, for a small moment, she had feared her plan to give them their happy ever after would back fire. But, now as she watched the serene look of peace and happiness that the two of them basked in as their love for each other flowed easily between them. She knew, she had been successful in her attempt. "The wedding of King Maxwell Philip Evans and Elizabeth Ann Parker will continue as planned at sunset." She announced to the crowds of people both here on Earth and on the five different planets of her own star system.
The roar of cheers could easily be heard from the other beings from a different solar system, but their cheers were soon dulled by Max and Liz's family and friends here on Earth.
As they too yelled, clapped, whistled and hooted their joy for the two royal couple. Max and Liz had been through so much to be together and with every step of their relationship it seemed they had to fight their way back, but no more. There would be no more questioning, no more doubts and certainly no one that would be able to come between them every again. Max and Liz were friends, lovers and soulmates. Their connection was stronger then anyone could ever imagine, but it wasn't their connection that made them so unique. It was their blinding love for each other. A love so pure that it was hard to even attempt to try to understand what that form of pure love would really be like. Even Michael and Maria who had the privilege to be with the two of them from the very beginning, couldn't even try to comprehend the extent of the love Max and Liz shared for each other. The only person that really understood, really knew was the one who had tried to stand in-between their love. The legal challenger known as Jaret, knew and from that moment on he vowed with his life he would use any means needed to keep their love free and pure as it is on this day.
The Queen Mother approached the royal couple to be. "It is time to prepare for your nuptials. Max, my son, my King. Go to the Sanctrumist, he will prepare you properly along with your second, your father in this life and Elizabeth's father." Then she turned to the individual who would take her place. "In the meantime, it is time for us women to prepare the bride to be into a Queen." Before either Max or Liz could protest, Liz was pulled out of Max's arms and was surrounded by the guards who had accompanied the Queen Mother in her trip to Earth via the Granolith.
Liz's safety still Max's priority caused him to move in her direction. Even with her surrounded by guards his one time mother apparently trusted. He didn't know them and years of trust no one was still embedded into his brain. His movement was quickly halted though when Garock and Tetro stepped up and took their place by Liz's side. Garock turning toward Max and with a simple nod, Max knew in that moment, Liz would be safe or they would die ensuring her safety at all cost. He watched as a few of the guards scattered among the other female members of his Earth family and of Liz's. One by one a guard escorted Nancy Parker, his mother, Isabelle and even Maria to accompany Liz to where ever the Queen Mother seemed to be guided them. He continued to watch as the female party and their escorts seem to disappear into the desert landscape. Only to blink his eyes and see a large dome like structure appear around them. Michael was the first to approach Max after he watched Maria step into the large dome. "I wonder what else the Granolith is going to create next?" Michael stated amazed at what he was seeing with his own eyes.
"Probably a cathedral to put the Pope's to shame." Kyle joked as he joined his two alien friends. He had always known being part of the I know an alien club was going to make his life different, but the things he had witnessed today even his imagination couldn't have dreamed this stuff up. "By the way El Presidente, I might of bowed during the crowning thing, but don't be expecting that every day." He quickly added to make sure Max didn't get a swelled head. Yes, Kyle did acknowledge that Max was in fact a King on another planet, but as far as he was concern he would always just be regular old Max Evans to him.
"I wasn't expecting you to." Max quickly defended, then looked to his adopted father. "I'm still just me." The one time shy standing behind the tree kid coming out in him once again.
To Max, he knew his destiny, accepted it along with the responsibilities of that destiny. But, he hoped that his family and close friends would understand that just because of who he was, that still didn't mean that he didn't need them.
"Come on man, let's go get you ready to marry your dream girl." Michael stated in a friendly manner trying to keep the tension out of the air. He knew Max well enough to know that being crowned King didn't matter to him any where near as much as marry Liz Parker did.
He slapped his best friend on the back and started to steer him once again toward the pod chamber. Turning his head back to the other's he asked. "You guys ready to see where we were born?"
Philip Evans, Jim and Kyle Valenti, along with Jeff Parker followed Michael and Max up the cave side where the Sanctrumist and Jaret were already standing. Upon entering the cave Jeff Parker commented. "I feel like I've just stepped into an episode of the twilight zone."
"Yeah, but even you have to admit the special effects are so much more realistic in real life." Jim joked back trying to keep the mood up beat.
Michael turned to Jaret the minute they were in the pod chamber. "So what's your story?" He never was one to trust anyone easily and that still held true to this day.
"Story?" Jaret questioned not really getting what the King's second in command was asking of him.
"Yeah, you know, who are you exactly?" Michael asked making his question a bit more up front so the alien guy understood his meaning better.
"I am Jaret, second cousin to King Zan. I'm one of the last living beings of the Royal House of Antar to survive the war that Kivar had raged against the royal house for the past sixty years." The pride Jaret spoke of his lineage was evident in his voice.
For some reason Kyle took to Jaret easily. "You know, I could have saved you a lot of time and effort if you would have just asked about Max and Liz. You realize you didn't even stand a chance of coming between those two. Believe me, I know."
Jaret tilted his head in question at the male earthling before him. He didn't seemed the least bit intimated be the company he kept. Considering the capability of his King and the one known as Michael in this life time, he would have thought any mere human would be more respectful of his present company. "I have no doubts of my King and my future Queen's feelings. It was my place to offer the challenge to ensure both of them their place in the royal house as King and Queen without further questioning." He answered honestly. At his words though, the other's that were now in the pod chamber fully understood why Jaret had done what he had. Not to try to come between Max and Liz, but to prevent anyone else from trying to do so in the future.
Max stood quietly listening to the other's talking when the Sanctrumist approached him. "It is time young King to get you prepared for you wedding ceremony." Max nodded his agreement, then followed the Sanctrumist into the Granolith chamber. Once Max stepped into the chamber, the Granolith seemed to come to life immediately, as if it sensed and accepted Max's presence. Max looked to the Sanctrumist for guidance, asking silently with just his eyes what the reaction was about. "The Granolith now recognizes and accepts you as our King. It is ready to give you all the answers you will need to prepare you on your journey as King." The Sanctrumist answered Max's unspoken question.
Reaching up, his hand touched upon the inverted cone shaped object. Suddenly his mind was filled with all the knowledge of several different galaxies, not just the Whirlwind Galaxy or the Milky Way Galaxy, but as many as the Granolith knew. Every piece of information that he would ever need to know about anything was now at his fingertips waiting for his mind to need it. The teaching of the Granolith took until the sun was about to be set and by the time Max stepped back into the pod chamber, the boy who had been crowned King, was now the man that would be a King. He was dressed in a formal Antar wedding attire looking every bit the part of a King that was about to be wed. "It is time for me to make Liz my Queen." He stated as he approached the other guys that the Sanctrumist with the Granolith's help had already provided the proper attire for them to wear. His Earth father, Mr. Parker, and both the Valenti men were dressed in what appeared to look like a form of tuxedo's. But, the material from which they were made could easily be seen that they were spun not of this Earth.
Michael on the other hand was dressed similar to Max. Both men were in black uniforms, with gold accents spun down the side of their pants, around the arms ends of the jackets and along the royal robes that draped over one arm and around their backs. The main difference between the two men's outfits was in the gold accents. Max's carried the seal of the royal house of Antar, where Michael's carried the royal army's seal. Max also wore the crown of the royal house, signifying his position as King and his robe was floor length versus Michael's that ended at the waist. Jaret was dressed in similar fashion as Michael, although his gold accents were also spun with the seal of the royal house. Max took the lead to exit the chamber and wasn't surprised to find Michael still playing his role as Max's protector step right at his side. What did surprise him was Jaret, who stepped up to his other side. In that moment Max understood that Jaret was much more then a challenger that tried to challenge for Liz's heart, but was now considered his personal body guard.
Meanwhile when Liz and her company followed Andreayan into the desert landscape, none of them expected to walk into what they could only describe as a desert oasis. A dome shape building constructed itself around them, the walls filled with all the supplies they could have imagined to prepare all of them for the wedding of the century. One by one a display of an outfit was lit up on one side of the structure. Their was one dress for each woman, with matching shoes that were on pedestals to the right of each dress. On the left side was matching accessories from hair clips to necklaces, bracelets, rings and just about anything they could have ever wanted to accent each dress perfectly. Each outfit seemed handmade for each of the woman's personality. The last display to be lit was the most elegant wedding dress any of the woman had ever seen. It was pure white, looking as if made of the most delicate satins and silks, but at one glance you could tell the material wasn't made here on Earth. "Oh My God, Liz! IT'S GORGEOUS!" Maria screamed out as she took in the sight of Liz's soon to be wedding dress.
"Talk about the perfect wedding planner." Isabelle announced. "When we were told the Granolith has a lot of power, I never imagined adding wedding planner capabilities to that list of powers or I would have used it for my own wedding."
"These dresses are all beautiful, how did it know what we would like?" Diana asked trying to change the subject from Isabelle's wedding. She had seen the look that fell on Andreayan's face and knew the subject of her one time and only daughter being married without her present seemed to take the Queen Mother by surprise. She walked up to the dress she would only presume would be hers, as it not only was the perfect looking dress for her, but she could tell by just looking at it that it would be the perfect fit."
Andreayan knew what her children's adopted mother was trying to do and gave her a grateful look. Today was Max and Liz's day, she would ask questions about Isabelle's wedding another day. "The Granolith has a vast amount of knowledge." Was all she said to answer Diana's question. She turned to the guards who stood by the dome structure doors and without having to say the words, the guards all turned and stepped outside the dome doors. Garock and Tetro stood at attention just inside the doors, refusing to relinquish their duties as Liz's protectors. Turning back to Liz, she stated. "It is time to prepare you for your wedding."
She motioned to a large pedestal toward the middle of the dome structure and the moment Liz stepped on it, she looked as if she went into a trance like state.
"Liz? LIZ!" Maria was just about to make a run for Max and Michael thinking something was wrong, when Andreayan stopped her in mid stride.
"She is being given the knowledge that she will need through the Granolith, just as Max is gaining the knowledge he will need at the moment. I suggest we take this time to prepare ourselves for when she is finished, the wedding will begin."
"But..."
Nancy Parker's worries were put to rest by Andreayan. "She is the future Queen of an entire universe. I promise you, your daughter's life is in the best protection she could have ever dreamed of." In that moment a shower of gold descended upon Liz as if she was in a protective force field. The other woman noticed how Garock and Tetro bowed deeply to their new to be Queen and finally stepped out of the structure.
"Where are..." Isabelle didn't even get her sentence out before Andreayan was answering her unspoken question.
"Our future Queen is under the protection of the Granolith, personal body guards are not needed during this duration." She then motioned toward the far side of the dome structure.
"Shall we be prepared?" The Earth woman all looked at the object that the Queen Mother was motioning toward. It looked like a very lavished portable row of showers, with long robes that hung on the sides of each shower like head.
Isabelle could see the other's were a bit nervous about the idea of showering in front of each other, not to mention taking an alien type shower, so she did the only thing she could think to do. She stepped forward first. "I guess I should be the first one to go." As soon as she stepped into the shower like unit, she seemed to vanish only to reappear within a few minutes with a shiny glow to her body and the robe now replacing her old clothing. "Wow! I guarantee you will never look at another shower the same once you've experience the Antarian way of showering."
One by one each of the woman took their turn and one by one they all came out of the shower looking, smelling and feeling cleaner then they had ever felt in their entire life. Maria almost felt guilty about Liz missing this part of getting ready. But, she had faith that the Granolith wouldn't take care of her best friend. They then turned to the next area that looked like a beauty salon lounges. One by one they each took their seat in the lounge chair and within minutes they're legs were smoothed from unwanted hair and their bodies lotioned to their individual skin type. Any other unwanted body hairs were also removed from the other parts of their bodies. Their pores were cleaned, makeup was instantly applied and their hair was perfectly fixed to match the dresses awaiting them. "Talk about the spa to end all spas." Maria purred in satisfaction at the way her entire body felt.
They all then walked over to the dress that each one knew was made for them. Stepping into the display area, they exited only seconds later completely dress and each looking stunning in their own right. Never in their entire lives had any of them felt so pampered, so beautiful. With each process they took to get ready though they all kept an eye on what was happening to Liz. Who still stood within the golden shower of protection. "This is really happening, right. I mean we can't all be dreaming this, can we?" Nancy asked Amy who was standing next to her.
"Nancy, your daughter's about to marry a King. A King that by the looks of things will be able to provide her with everything she would ever desire. I'd say she did pretty good, so stop worrying and just be happy for her. Besides think of the money you're saving by not having to flip the bill for this wedding. I mean come on, look at these dressing, not to mention Liz's. I don't know about you, but I've seen enough to know this can't possible be a dream." She leaned closer to her friend. "I don't think I have this good of an imagination to come up with all this stuff." The two woman laughed at Amy's attempt at keeping the mood light.
By this time they could tell the sun was just starting it's decent and they all watched in amazement as everything that they had just experienced began to happen to Liz all while she was still in the golden shower of protection. When the golden light vanished Liz stepped off the pedestal fully dressed in her wedding dress and looking like the most enchanted individual they had ever set eyes on. "Max's eyes are going to bug out when you sees you chica." Maria joked, but meant every word.
"It is time." Andreayan announced stepping toward the doors of the dome structure.
Liz turned to her mother. "Mom, I..." At a lost for words to say to the woman that had given her life, love and protection since she was born.
"Be happy, Liz. That's all I've ever wanted for you. I love you." Tears of joy began to form in both women's eyes at the heart felt moment.
Maria and Amy both stepped up to their friends. "Now you two better stop that or all this Granolith's planning will go down the drain." Amy stated as she hugged her friend, then to Liz she replied. "You'll always be like a daughter to me. I know whatever you desire in this life, you'll get it. You deserve it."
"Max is everything I've every dreamed of in a husband and father for my children." She answered Amy honestly, then held out her hand to Diana and Isabelle.
Diana stepped up to join the other women, along with Isabelle and all six shared a group hug. "I always knew you were going to be my sister someday. Ever since third grade, I've known. Just promise me you'll never stop loving him, he deserves that."
"I couldn't even if I wanted to, his like the air to me." The two girls hugged once more before pulling away from each other.
Diana then pulled Liz into a tight embrace. "I know this probably isn't part of the grand scheme of things, but this handkerchief belonged to Philip's great, great-grandmother and each generation of Evans has past it down to the next." She held out the silk scarf to Liz and Liz immediately took the delicate item.
"I'd be honored to carry it, thank you. Thank you for raising such an amazing man. His all I've ever wanted and more." The two women embraced once again before Isabelle took her mother's arm and the two along with Amy, Nancy and Andreayan stepped out of the dome structure. The sounds of music could be heard when they opened the door and only the two best friends were left in the building.
"I guess this isn't going to be the double beach wedding we talked about down in Florida, but it's going to be beautiful anyway Liz." Maria said through the smile on her face. "I always knew you and Max had that look into my eye soul mate thing going on and now look at you. Just don't ever forget, no matter what happens, I'm still always going to be your best friend and I'll always have your back."
"Oh Maria, I love you." Liz's tears finally began to fall not able to hold back her emotions any longer.
"I love you chica." The two best friends embraced tightly, knowing that in a matter of seconds it would be time for their lives as youths to come to an end and their lives as adults were about to begin.
The two continued to hold each other, until Garock and Tetro stepped back into the building.
"Mi lady, it is time." Garock announced.
Maria pulled back, squeezed Liz's hand then stepped out of the dome structure leaving her best friend to become a Queen. Liz took a deep breath, swiped her hand over her eyes and her makeup was perfect looking once again. Squaring her shoulders, her head held high she took her first step toward her new life as a Queen.

It's hard to admit that this is the end. This story will always hold a special place in my heart as I found out I was pregnant and gave birth to a beautiful bouncing baby boy, who is now over a year old. I can't even begin to express what your comments have meant to me and words of thanks just seems so little compared to what I truly feel. I will post the epilogue next week to wrap everything up. Without further a do, here is the conclusion. I hope you enjoy it, let me know what you think.

Part 75
She felt like she was in a dream, it was just all too perfect not to be a dream. The golden archway that Max had been crowned upon now stood at the end of a white satin runway upon which her feet felt as if they were gliding in slow motion upon in lieu of walking. Most brides when walking down the aisle to stand beside their husband to be, can usually see love in their eyes for them. But, with Max standing their looking so regally handsome, it went much further then just the look of love in his eyes for her. Liz could feel his love for her washing throughout her entire body. She could hear his soul whispering his love to hers.
Every part of her mind, body and soul was enraptured with his love. She never felt her father's touch as he took her arm to escort her down the white satin runway. She didn't hear the sniffles of happiness that both her mother and Diane Evans cried from their front row seats. She didn't even notice the look of joy on both Maria or Michael's face as they stood on the archway to be Max's bestman and her matron of honor.
No, her eyes were for one person, one soul, Max.
Max stood in the archway awaiting Liz's entrance. The monitors were on so their wedding was being publicized on all five planets of his home star system, but Max couldn't care less. Camera men were flashing pictures of this phenomenal moment in time, while others were video taping the entire exchange from different angles for the people of Earth to see the rare look at a royal wedding. But, Max neither cared, nor took note of them as his entire heart was focused on seeing his bride to be. He barely registered both his Antarian mother and his adopted mother as they were escorted down the aisle to their seats. He shared a smile with both his sister and with Maria as they made their way down the aisle. But, his attention to them was barely there as his Queen to be finally made her appearance through the dome structures doorway and everything else fading into the background.
Liz was breathtakingly beautiful. He couldn't hold his love for her back if he had wanted to. Wave after wave of pure love flowed from his soul into hers and he could feel her return his love freely and without any hesitation. His eyes locked with hers, still finding it hard with everything they had been through, every battle they had fought to get here that this day was actually happening. Every dream he had ever had came down to this moment in time. She seemed to glide to him and his heart wanted to burst with happiness when her father lifted her veil, kissed her cheek and placed her hand upon his.
The moment they physically touched, both their bodies glowed with happiness and love. The Santrumist spoke in true Antarian, but Max and Liz understood the words perfectly. "I do." Was the only words spoken by both Max and Liz during the ceremony itself, not that either of them had to say the words, as they were already married in their hearts and souls. They exchanged rings, that were obviously made not of Earth and even though the rings were the most exquisite of all rings ever seen by the people of this planet, neither cared as they only represented what they both knew to be true already. The Sanctrumist wrapped their wrist in a fine silk cloth, stating the binding of the cloth would bond them for all eternity. But, their souls were already committed past any object that could have bond them.
Words weren't needed to tell Max when the time came for him to kiss his beautiful bride and his love for her was shown in the kiss that put all other kisses known to mankind to shame. In fact, it was almost impossible for him to tears his lips away from hers as her taste tantalized him too much to stop. It was only when he heard Liz's whispers of reassurance that he would have the rest of his life to taste her lips in his mind that he finally lifted his lips away from hers. The heat or their passion was easily seen and Liz's face shyly turned a tinge of pink at the realization of how strong their love was being shown to soooo many individuals. But, with a simple I love you spoken to her soul from Max's, all thoughts of embarrassment were flown right out of her mind.
When the Sanctrumist placed the crown of his people's Queen upon Liz's head, the pride she had felt for Max during his crowning ceremony was returned just as much from Max. Turning the newly married couple to face the audience as husband and wife, as King and Queen. The Santrumist announced. "It is my pleasure to introduce for the first time his majesty King Maxwell Philip Evans and her highness, Queen Elizabeth Ann Parker Evans." Cheers from the five planets could be heard easily over the clapping of their Earth bound audience. The royal couple bowed deeply to their guests from all six planets, then embraced each other one further time. Too overwhelmed with love not to even think about not embracing each other.
Max turned to Michael who was offering his hand, the two friends shook hands while Michael said his congratulations. At the same time Maria turned Liz toward her and hugged her tightly. "You did it, Liz. Your a Queen." Her best friend cried in her ear.
"Oh Maria, I'm so happy." Liz cried right back, the shear joy of her happiness was too much to contain any longer as the tears slipped down her face.
Max took her hand once again in his and knew it was time to formally greet their guests. He first glided her over to the Queen Mother. "May your reign be one of happiness and full of love always." She commented as she took the royal stone from upon her neck and placed it around Liz's. "Your highness." She bowed deeply to Liz and it that moment she relinquished her position as Queen to her son's new bride.
Next they stepped to Liz's parents who didn't even have enough words to say how proud they were of their daughter. Hugs and kisses were exchanged before moving on to Max's adopted parents. Once again hugs and kisses were exchanged. Isabelle was next, then Amy DeLuca, the Valenti's and even the secretary of defense was part of the guest that Max and Liz choose to greet formally as the new King and Queen of Antar. Max then walked Liz back to the archway to formally greet those individuals who had witnessed their nuptials from thousands of miles across the galaxies.
Shocking those on Earth, Max announced. "Good people of Antar and those of you from our star system, it gives me great honor to acknowledge that my Queen and I will be returning to our great planet to greet you all in person by the time the next moon has completed it's cycle." Placing his hand upon her womb, he added. "We feel it only proper that the next heir to the throne be born on the ground he will rule someday." Another round of cheers were received at Max's announcement from those in the other galaxy. But, from Earth the close group of individual's who Max and Liz considered family grew quiet. All of them had known that this was a possibility, knew that someday they would have to say good bye to their children, their friends, but no matter how much they understood it, everyone was having a difficult time accepting it.
Liz could feel the distress of her love ones, she wanted to go to them and explain there was no need for their distress as she and Max would be able to come back and forth between the galaxies easily with the help of the Granolith. Sure in reality they would be galaxies apart, but actually it would only seem like a county away in the amount of time it would take to visit them. Besides they had only begun to establish a political place here on Earth and both Liz and Max looked forward to keeping their relationship with the planet they were both born on in this lifetime close to their hearts. But, right now Max's home planet needed them. Needed them to restore the planet back to it's original beauty before the tyrant Kivar had ravished the planets.
So in lieu of reassuring her loved ones, she remained by Max's side in hopes that their people would see they were together in their mission to restore Antar and the other planets.
Once Max finished his speech to their people, Andreayan approached the newly married royal couple. "I understand the two of you have already ensured our future." Speaking of the heir that was safely already inside of Liz's womb. "But, I believe it is tradition on this planet to still have a honeymoon after a wedding celebration."
Richard Mannero stepped forward. "I would like to offer as a wedding present from the United States to the two of you a trip to the Hawaiian Islands. I can assure you will be treated as royalty." He gave a small smile at the double meaning of his words, considering the two of them were as royal as you could get. But, just like Max and Liz, the secretary of defense was eager to keep their political relationship established for their planets to be kept united in the future.
Max turned to Liz and asked her opinion in silent communication. He understood what she was about to give up for him. Knowing they would be leaving this planet by the end of next week and knew she would want to spend time with her family and friends. But, in a selfish way, he wanted to get to spend time with his wife alone. Knowing as soon as they returned to Antar they would have their work cut out for them and not much time to themselves. With a slight nod, Liz agreed the two of them needed this and Max was gracious in acceptance of the generous offer made on behave of a government he had once feared.
Once he had their approval, Richard excused himself from the party that was turning festival to make the appropriate arrangements. During the party Max and Liz were able to explain the Granolith's ability to allow them to visit as often as possible and reassure their friends and family that this wasn't a final good bye. Within an hour the arrangements for their honeymoon had been made and with tearful good byes and lots of hugs and kisses the two of them started their journey together as husband and wife. King and Queen. Neither knowing for sure what the future held for them, but both knowing no matter what they would be together until the end of time. They had escaped destiny, fear and torture only to find that love truly does conquer all in the end.
The End
