Summary: After the group have been on the run for five years they end up in a remote area of England and find an old house that is seemingly unoccupied, but there is something strange about this house and there are many secrets to be unlocked…
Setting: I know there is no way that the time lines will match up so I am pretty much molding them around what I want them to be. The gang are all 22-23 and when they enter Narnia the only age I am cementing will be Peter who will be 27 and Edmund is 22.
Rating: I am going to cover my bases and call it Mature to be on the safe side!
A.N. Okay so here is the equation that led me to this story. I re-watched Narnia while babysitting tonight add that to a day reading Roswell fan fic and that equals what I’m sure will be a slightly bizarre story, but hopefully a fun one!
I have not read any of the Chronicle of Narnia books except for Lion, Witch…etc and even then I haven’t read it for about eleven years. Basically I will be making most of that up, so if some of you follow the books closely and I get something WAY OFF, please let me know and I will be happy to fix it. Anyways, I’m sure most of you know what it is like to get some idea in your head and then feel the overwhelming urge to write it out. Let’s see where this takes us!
Prologue:
The gang was a little run down to say the least. It had been roughly four years on the run and counting, to say the least, everyone was getting tired.
No one was more run down than Liz, she was six and a half months pregnant and really needed to take a breather. Her and Max’s marriage had been filled with equal amounts of love and danger. No one could say that their lives had been boring.
The group had become so close knit that they could sense each other. They could not read minds or anything, but they could sense strong feelings and different moods.
Maria and Michael had been married for over a year now and even they still kept up their trade mark fights, everyone knew that they could not live their lives with out each other.
Kyle and Isabel had grown a very close friendship that had slowly but surely turned to love. He had proposed to her six months ago, unfortunately their enemies had caught up with them before they had the chance to tie the knot.
They ran into Ava in New York and she had confessed she had felt lost and alone sense everyone that had been in her group had either turned evil or been murdered. She had been staying below radar but felt she needed to compensate for her families actions and fight the good fight.
Liz remembered how Ava had helped her save Max and willingly let her in. Although it had taken Michael longer to trust her, he had gotten to know her and knew she was nothing like Tess or the other Dupes. She was now an important part of the group and everyone was thankful she had been there on more than one occasion.
They also picked up an eighth member to their gang in a small Maryland town, her name was Serena. To say the lease, their van had become a little cramped, but it was filled with love. Serena was a strong psychic and very good with sciences. The government had begun hunting her because they mistakenly took her psychic abilities for alien powers.
She was merely one of the few humans who had unlocked some of her brains potential. She was struck by lightening when she was seven and that had sparked her ability to see into the future and read peoples lives. The gang had saved her from the FBI and had formed such a close friendship with them that they couldn’t leave her behind, she willingly joined their lives on the run.
She was beautiful, she had dark red hair and flashing green eyes that always betrayed her emotions, if you knew what to look for. She had been very helpful in helping Liz to develop her premonition powers, but Liz and soon advanced beyond Serena’s abilities.
Not only could Liz get a random glimpse into the future, she could control it, she couldn’t see everything but enough to keep them safe. She could also control water, which was developing into a power that allowed her to control weather, although it drained her energy and she could only hold it for short periods of time.
Michael had become more adept at blasting and focusing his energy. He could start small fires. It was really good that Liz was able to control water while he was trying to master his new skill otherwise they would have burned down multiple motel rooms and blown up the van on several occasions.
Max’s healing power had advanced a lot further also. Since he had such a strong bond with the group he no longer needed to physically touch them to heal them, he could send out healing vibes through their connections which came in handy whenever they were engaged in battle.
Ava still had her mind-warp, obviously she had vowed only to use it against the enemy. Ava being there helped to keep the unit complete in the absence of Tess. Ava had also developed a little telekinesis. She could only move slightly small objects, but she was also able to divert bullets and was practicing moving energy to help disable alien blasts.
Kyle had developed great speed, much like Clark Kent, and could also lift massive amounts of weight. The group was curious to see if he would develop the power to fly like Superman too.
Isabel could still dream walk, she could pull anyone of the group onto the dream plane if they became separated. Her power had grown enough that she could use her mind to pull a conscious mind onto the dream plane, it was really helpful when one of their enemies would just fall asleep during battle.
She had a little more trouble doing so with an alien mind as opposed to an FBI mind, but she was practicing everyday. To say the least, the group was growing wary of Isabel randomly ‘putting them down for a nap’ as she called it.
Maria had avoided being shot or mortally wounded for the entire time they had been on the run, this was a miracle since she had no qualms from running her mouth and trying to agitate their enemies. Michael wished she would just shut up and stay in the car, but everyone knew Maria wasn’t capable of that.
The FBI had quieted down around a year ago, and the group had enjoyed roughly six months of peace before Kivar’s army had caught up with them. Their lives had been a haggard run since then, they couldn’t seem to shake them.
Currently they were in a rural area of England, there were lots of farms and open land. The group had taken to the country in an attempt to lure Kivar’s men away from large amounts of population. Kivar didn’t care who he had to kill to get to the Royal Four and the human loss was wearing hard on the groups conscious.
They mourned for the poor souls who had obliviously stood between them and Kivar. The van the group was driving in was approaching a very large, old house.
Liz could feel the enemy behind them, quickly catching up. The group looked at the house and hoped it was empty.

Chapter One
Chapter One:
The group jumped out of the van, grabbing their duffel bags just in case there was a chance of finding temporary safety in the house. Isabel ran her hand over the car, masking its appearance to make it appear as if it were part of the foliage. She turned to see Max ringing the bell and Kyle was waiting to take her hand in his. She took it and felt his strength and love flow to her, easing her nerves. It was comforting to know that no matter what was to happen; he would be by her side. Whether they died at the hands of Kivar or lived long lives, Kyle would be right there with her.
She felt a horrible, sickening feeling when she thought if Kivar’s name. She had already lost one man she cared a great deal for to Kivar. Technically Tess had killed Alex, but she was working for Kivar at the some Alex pretty much died at his hands. Isabel could never help but feel that he hadn’t just been killed through the mind warp, but that he died partly because of how much he loved her. She knew that Tess could tell so there was a safe chance that Kivar knew too, so that is probably one of the reason’s Tess killed him.
She had also lost Jessie, not to death but to another woman. It had hurt her a great deal when she found out that he had remarried, and only after she had been gone for a year. Deep down she knew that it was for the best. Jessie was a brilliant lawyer, it would have been a waste for him to live his life on the run. Not to mention she didn’t think he was cut out for it, Jessie wouldn’t have been strong enough to face everything they had too. She thought she had loved him, but she hadn’t known what love was until she opened her heart to Kyle.
She looked over at him and felt the same fuzzy warmth fill her, she had never experienced this kind of love with either Alex or Jessie. Her love for him was profound, they were truly soul mates. The funny thing was that Kyle had been there through so much of her life, but to took her far to long to really see him. After she had healed from Jessie, she knew Kyle was right her. He had been her shoulder to cry on, and her rock that supported her. He had always been patient and understanding with her. She loved his piercing blue eyes and his muscular build. She loved his sense of humor and how he could make her feel wonderful about herself by just giving her a look. His still gave his corny Buddha advice, and although she teased him for it, she really loved his strong faith. Heck, anything that could help him cope with this abyss is well worth it.
After she had realized her feelings for him, and gotten over her own fear of rejection, she took a chance. She kissed him, and when she did so it felt as if her world was instantly completed when he wrapped his arms around her and returned her kiss with years of built up passion. Her mind had been immediately filled with flashes from Kyle and she knew how he had felt about her, even when she was married to Jessie. She felt bad that she had been so blind to his love, but there was nothing she could do to change it. Kyle opened himself to her completely, even in that first kiss. Isabel knew he would always be open and honest with his feelings for her.
Soon after that, they started to date. Their dating life was odd to say the last, but it was also romantic and filled with adventure. Although Isabel had about enough regular adventure in her life, Kyle made their romantic one something she could never forget. During the wonderful time when the government had given up wasting massive amounts of resources trying to track them, Kyle had proposed in front of their whole family. Isabel could not be happier; she thought she would finally get the life she had dreamed about ever since she had learned she was different.
Three days later they had been attacked by Kivar’s men. Still she had hoped they could quickly defeat them. Only after six months and being chased halfway across the world was she beginning to lose hope of being able to marry Kyle, they had to survive with their lives intact first.
Still Kyle was holding her hand, their connection wide open and she could see all the love he had for her. His certainty that they would marry and spend a long life together made her heart soar with hope and excitement. He was her own personal Superman.
They were drawing closer to the door and Max had a look on his face like he didn’t know what to do next. Liz was holding his hand and her other hand was on her noticeable belly. Isabel’s heart when out to her brother and sister. They should be enjoying this wonderful time in their life, they shouldn’t be desperately running to find a safe place for their child to be born. It wasn’t fair for them at all. She walked to Liz and placed her free hand on top of Liz’s, she was greeted with a flash of her nephew sleeping in his mother’s womb. She had to smile, the child was a blessing despite everything, she could feel the great power that the small child possessed. The baby had already saved their lives.
When Kivar had learned of the child his priorities had shifted. He went from wanting to kill the group by any means necessary to wanting to save the child for himself. Obviously, that meant that Liz could not be harmed and since Liz was always with the rest of the group, Kivar had been forced to show some restraint.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There was no answer at the door and Max was visibly getting anxious, “Look, let’s just go in, we’ve been knocking and ringing for ten minutes and we can’t stay out in the open.”
“And if he can’t see us then he won’t attack, Thank God for your baby Liz,” said Michael. He had changed his tune, when they first learned of the child Michael was not excited about it, to say the least. He thought the baby would only slow them down and give the Feds a new target to study. However, after Max had let Michael connect to the child for the first time he knew he would protect him with his life. He had actually broken the connection with tears running down his cheeks and had kissed Liz chastely on the cheek. When he had looked up he could see Maria visibly melting and he had looked at her and told her not to get any ideas, then he kissed her to show he was only kidding, well kind of.
“Well what eva we’re gonna do, lets do it now.” Said Ava, moving forward she tried the door and found it unlocked. She immediately walked in and the group quietly followed her. They stopped in the foyer to take in their surroundings. The house was large and filled with old artifacts and paintings. Michael noted that it was not dusty and it did not appear to be abandoned.
Max took a hew steps up stairs, it was only a half flight. On the right there was another short flight and there was a door with light coming out from under it. Max shrugged and looked at Serena and Liz, they didn’t seem to be picking up on anything disturbing.
He raised his hand and after a moments hesitation he rapped lightly on the door. They heard a shuffle from the other side and then a males voice, “Yes Ms. Macready, I am on my way,” the knob started to turn, “Who was at the…” the question trailed off when he saw the unfamiliar man and pregnant women he from of him.
He took a startled step back when he saw the rest of the strangers behind them. Michael half snorted to himself, he could only imagine what this man thought of the group. All though they were young, he knew their faces showed the years of pain and worry they had lived through. Their clothes were slightly tattered and he was sure they all looked very tired.
“C c can I help you?” He asked.
“Sorry, we did not mean to frighten you, we tried the door but there was no answer, we thought maybe this home was abandoned.” Max had hardly finished his sentence when Liz wobbled and Serena looked up with a concerned expression on her face.
Max caught Liz and Isabel spoke up, “We don’t’ mean to intrude, but we are seeking refuge.”
He was looking worriedly at Liz when Serena grabbed his hand, “Please, our enemies are coming closer and I assure you, they mean to bring us harm.”
The man looked at the faces of the group, perhaps taking in how weathered they looked and he seemed to soften. He moved through the group, “follow me, quickly.” He brushed past them and headed up another small flight of stairs to a hallway.
They didn’t hesitate to follow. He opened a door to a small room and ushered them inside. The group let out a collective sight and started to set their bags down.
Max opened his mouth to thank the man, who was walking up to the lone piece of furniture in the room. It was an antique wardrobe with intricate wood carvings on it. He cut Max off, “ Get in quick.”
Michael shook his head and looked at his friends, “No offense intended, but I don’t think we will all fit, especially with Liz here,” he shot her a grin to show he was only kidding and rubbed his arm where Maria had instinctively punched him.
“No, no, you have to trust me, it will take you somewhere that you will be safe from your enemies.”
The guys all had disbelieving looks on their faces, but Maria just shrugged. She was willing to try anything at this point. She walked in followed by Isabel, Ava and Serena. Liz started to follow but Max stopped her and got in front of her. He stepped in, one hand out in front and the other holding hers. Kyle looked at Michael and gave him a ‘if you can’t beat em, join em’ look and headed in. Michael looked at the man again who just nodded towards the door.
He climbed in and took a tentative step forward, he immediately heard the door click shut behind him. He let his hands trail against the soft fur of the coats as he took a step forward. He couldn’t help but to wonder why they weren’t all packed in like sardines. He kept stepping forward letting his hands guide him.
He felt something sharp stick into his finger and he quickly pulled it away in surprise, it was then that he realized he could make out the shape of a tree, which was completely wrong because he shouldn’t be able to see anything. He kept moving forward as all the coats disappeared and were replaced by trees. He found himself in a forest clearing by a lamp post. He saw the rest of the group checking out their surroundings.
Everyone was to stunned to speak, except for Kyle, “Well Toto, I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kivar got an alarmed look on his face. He had been able to sense his prey ever since he had landed on this planet.
“What is wrong, my liege?” asked Nicolas.
“I can’t feel them anymore, not any of them, not even the child.”
Kivar threw his hands up and yelled in rage, electricity flowed from his fingertips. He shifted his hand and directed his rage into a soldier standing a few feet in front of him. He felt a small sense of satisfaction when he saw the man disappear into a whirlwind of skin and dust. But it was only a small amount of satisfaction, he would never be fully satisfied until he would be able to crush the skull of Zan under his boot.
He turned his gaze onto a frightened Nicolas, “I want them found,” he lifted him off the ground by the front of his shirt, “If they are dead then bring me their mangled bodies as proof. Search every home, field, tree and rock. Destroy anything that stands in the way. This has gone on long enough. Do you UNDERSTAND ME?”
He couldn’t be bothered with an answer and instead threw Nicolas’s puny body a several feet away. The small man landed in a crumpled feet but quickly picked himself up. He immediately began yelling orders at the men surrounding him. He obviously didn’t like his weakness being shown in front of the men.
Kivar looked away in disgust. They couldn’t be dead, the connection had died too quickly, perhaps they had learned to block him from sensing them. Not that it would help. He wanted that child, the true heir to Antar. He also wanted its mother; she was beautiful and would make a nice queen. He would enjoy forcing her into his bed to give him more heirs; maybe he would keep Zan alive just to see it.
The group jumped out of the van, grabbing their duffel bags just in case there was a chance of finding temporary safety in the house. Chapter 2
Chapter Two:
The group had decided to sleep in the clearing near the lamp post the night before. They wanted to rest before exploring the area. Liz had opened her powers as far as she could and wasn’t able to sense Kivar or any malevolent forced. Although they had to sleep on the hard ground and although they didn’t have any sleeping bags or tents, it was the most restful sleep they had gotten in a long time.
They woke when the sun was high in the sky and decided to go for a walk to get the lay of the land. They were hesitant to travel to far from the where they had entered this strange world. They had found a larger clearing that was next to a stream a few miles away and settled there.
Serena and Ava started a fire and were heating some canned foods they had. Everyone was smart enough to travel with non perishable food in their bags in case of emergencies. They had enough to last a few days, but they would have to find a source of food if they were going to survive.
After they had eaten they were relaxing in the clearing. Max was stretched out with his bag under his head as a pillow. Liz was lying perpendicular to him with her head on his stomach. Their hands were enter twined over her belly and his free hand was stroking her long dark hair. Michael and Maria were off to the side arguing softly. It wasn’t anything to serious because they would smile and kiss every now and then.
Kyle and Isabel were leaning against a large tree enjoying the nature around them. That was unusual for Isabel, most of the time she hated the outdoors. It must be the fact that they didn’t have to look over their shoulders that allowed her to be happy, even if they were outdoors with the dirt and the bugs. Ava was practicing floating things with her mind and Serena was watching her. They were really relaxed until they heard a twig snap in the distance. They all immediately became alert and Michael threw up his hand out of habit.
“Well it isn’t anything evil, probably just an animal.” Said Liz. Michael put his hand down but still remained alert in case it was a bear or another large animal. They all backed away when they heard the sound grow closer and closer. They saw a foot, one that looked like a dear’s step out into the clearing and Michael almost sighed in relief until they saw the rest of the animal. It stepped a second foot out and they looked up to see the top half of a man. Maria let out a small scream and the animal looked at them alarmed.
He took in everyone in the group and said, “Oh my,” before he passed out.
“Okay, there must be acid in the water or something,” Kyle began as he ran his hands through his hair.
“It’s not just you. It’s like an animal bottom with a human top.” Said Max, staring at the creature in wonder.
“A bizarre jigsaw puzzle gone horribly wrong,” Michael sniggered.
“What should we do?” asked Maria.
“Maybe we should wake him up?” Said Serena.
“He’s definitely not evil, I sense good in him.” Said Liz.
:”We musta scared him. He totally fainted when he saw us!” Said Ava.
“We should run, leave him alone, find a place a little more secluded.” Said Isabel.
“No, we have been running for too long. Let’s wait for him to wake up and see if we can talk to him.” Said Max. Everyone nodded, this whole situation was really weird.
“I know this is weird, but we’re aliens from a different planet. Should we really be surprised at anything anymore?” asked Max. Kyle looked around, taking everything in.
“We may actually be on a different planet now. Maybe that wardrobe was some kind of portal, like Stargate.”
“We would be like double aliens! We are aliens from another planet that came from another planet.” Laughed Michael, making everyone giggle.
“I think that would put us into the category of space travelers or maybe planet jumpers.” Said Isabel.
They continued contemplating where they had ended up when the creature began to stir. They stood back to give him a little room as he tried to sit up. He blinked and looked at the group again and gave a shy smile.
“I’m sorry for fainting, it’s a bad habit really. I’m very surprised to see you.”
“Us why?” asked Max.
“Well you are sons of Adam and daughters of Eve are you not?”
“Human? Well yeah, mostly” said Maria as she looked at the aliens.
“Where are my manners, I’m Rigby Poppy, it is a pleasure to meet you.” He gave a little bow, and then stuck out his hand, “Yes I believe this is the proper way to meet you.” Max gave him his hand and Rigby shook it.
“We only have four other humans here and they are our beloved kings and queens. I must take you to meet them.”
“Wait, we don’t want to be a bother, we have no problem staying out in the woods!” Said Maria.
“No, that would be absolutely unheard of! You must go and meet them. They are kind and fair and will welcome you! May I ask where you came from?”
“The wardrobe in the spare room,” said Michael.
“Oh yes, that is were Queen Lucy said she had come from! Wow, it must be a marvelous country. Now if you follow me I will take you to the palace.”
The group began to gather their belongings. They were a little wary but still shocked. Not only had they met someone that was half man and half beast, but he was really very nice. Max couldn’t help thinking that maybe they would be accepted here. It seems that their royalty arrived here the same way they had.
“The palace is called Cair Paravel and it is located by the Eastern Ocean. It will take us a few days to reach there so we must stop by my home so that I can get provisions.”
Everyone nodded and followed the faun to his home as they began their odd journey.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After they had gathered all of their belongings, they followed the faun to his home. It wasn’t far from where they had been camping.
Michael looked back to the direction they had entered this world from. He was still reluctant, but Liz hadn’t detected any evilness here, and that sure wasn’t the case back there. He didn’t have any other choice but to go with it.
They reached the faun’s home, it was built into the side of a hill and looked to be very small. There were flowers of every color lining the front of the house and the walkway.
As Rigby reached the door he paused and looked regretfully at the group behind him. “I don’t want to be rude, I would love for you to come in, but I don’t think you would all fit.” He looked perplexed by this problem.
Liz laughed, “That is all right, we will stay out here and enjoy your beautiful garden!”
Rigby looked relieved, “I will only be a few moments!”
The group stood around outside, in silence. Michael guessed everyone was just trying to absorb everything. He watched as a small bird onto Rigby’s window sill and walked in. A minute later the bird left, to Michael it seemed almost as if the bird was watching them.
He shrugged off with the shake of his head, that would be a little too weird. Before long Rigby came out of his home with a pack, Michael assumed it had food in it.
“Okay, lets begin our journey. I sent a messenger bird off ahead of us to inform the castle of your arrival.”
“That’s really cool. Did you attach a note to one of its legs or something?” asked Kyle.
“Why would I do a think like that?” Rigby shook his head, he looked confused why Kyle would suggest such a thing. He set out on the path before Kyle could ask another question. Kyle obviously didn’t like being made to look like an idiot so he just picked up his pack and headed on his way.
As they were making their way back into the woods Michael couldn’t help but notice a group of birds sitting on a branch. That wasn’t odd, but the fact that they were watching them was. Michael shook his head, it couldn’t be, I really must be going crazy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When the sun set they set up camp for the evening near a stream. Liz plopped down on the ground, all the walking was starting to get to her. Max set down their things and removed her shoe’s and started rubbing her feet.
“Let me carry your bag for you tomorrow,” Liz opened her mouth to protest but Max cut her off, “No arguments, all this walking is hard enough on you and the baby, you shouldn’t have to carry a bag too.”
She just smiled up at him and he leaned down and kissed her forehead.
Kyle and Michael started a fire and Isabel and Maria took their turn cooking the food. They had to be careful not to use their powers in front of Rigby. He looked at their canned food as if it was odd enough, they didn’t want to completely scare him.
Every so often an animal would come to the edge of their campsite, stare for a moment and then walk away. They sat around the fire and talked. They told Rigby about themselves, leaving out the alien abyss.
Rigby told them all about his life and his family and friends. He also gave them a little history lesson about Narnia and the Royal Four. He told them about when the white witch had ruled and there was nothing but winter for a hundred years. He told them about Aslan and the war. He also filled them in on how peaceful Narnia had been since Peter, Edmund, Susan, and Lucy had begun to rule.
Rigby knew that they would love them and welcome them to Narnia.
The next morning they woke early and washed up in the stream before beginning their journey again. The day passed uneventfully. They had to rest a little more frequently because Liz was getting really worn out. They were a little worried that all this walking would be bad for the baby, but she convinced them that she was fine.
At camp that evening the were sitting around the fire talking with a small rabbit hopped over and sat next to Rigby.
“Well hello there,” He said.
The group looked at the cute little bunny and smiled, but their smiles were replaced by gasps when the bunny replied, “Hi!” He sounded just like a little boy.
They blinked at them as if they couldn’t believe he had spoken.
“What’s wrong? What is it?” He asked,” do I have something on my face, I washed after dinner I promise!” He immediately began licking his paws and wiping at his face. The little guy seemed a little embarrassed.
Everyone was still too shocked. Kyle was looking around as if he expected to find himself in a padded room and in a strait jacket.
Liz was the first one to get her bearings. “No you don’t have anything on your face. Hello, my name is Liz.” She smiled down at the bunny, and he stopped frantically wiping his face and smiled up at her.
“We don’t mean to be rude, but we have never heard a rabbit talk before.” Maria tried to explain.
“Why not?” asked the curious little rabbit.
“Well, because,” Maria trailed off, unsure of how to explain.
“Rabbits don’t talk where we come from,” Michael finished for her.
“Oh. Well maybe they do and you just don’t listen hard enough to hear them.” Said the bunny. That made Michael shut his mouth, he didn’t know how to respond. Max and Kyle sniggered a little bit at Michael’s discomfort.
“Well what is your name?” Asked Serena.
“They call me Pete, my parents named after the great King Peter,” he answered, his chest swelling with pride.
“That’s very nice for you,” said Isabel, “I’m Isabel, and you already know Liz.” She went around and introduced the rest of the group.
Everyone loosened up, having gotten over the shock of a talking rabbit. Kyle was surprised by how natural it was to talk with a rabbit.
They talked for fifteen minutes when near the edge of the clearing they heard an agitated voice, “Peter, where are you? Your brothers and sisters are already in bed!”
With that Peter hopped off, calling goodbye over his shoulder. They heard him excitedly call out ahead of him, “Mom, Mom! I met the humans and they are very nice!”
Everyone smiled at how adorable that encounter had been. Kyle turned and looked at Rigby, “Where we come from things are very different than here.” He explained. And not at all in a good way. He thought to himself. This place was really starting to grow on him, he could be happy here.
Not to long after their visit from the bunny they decided to call it a night. They should reach the palace tomorrow and everyone was anxious to arrive.

Chapter Three
Thank you to everyone who left feedback! I really appreciate it!
Chapter Three
The group set out after sunrise the next morning. Two hours later they could see the castle ahead in the distance. It stood against the ocean and the morning sun shone through it giving the appearance that it was the castle itself that lit the sky.
“It’s beautiful!” gaped Isabel and Maria at the same time.
“And huge,” said Kyle, with a grin on his face.
Michael walked up next to him and added, “I bet we get to sleep in a bed tonight!”
That made everyone pick up the pace a little. Except for Liz, she was tired and fell to the back of the group, Max hung back with her. The group would have stopped all together but Liz was projecting that she was fine to everyone.
They stopped around noon to eat a quick lunch and were back on the road in a half hour. As they drew closer and closer to the castle, Liz was moving slower and slower. She had her arm around his neck and he was helping her walk.
When they were about two miles away from the castle the animals were coming out to the sides of the pathway and watching them. They saw creatures they had never dreamed of before, the most astonishing was the half man half horse. Although Michael was a little freaked out by it, he couldn’t deny that it was the most graceful creature he had ever seen.
Twenty minutes later he was still taking it all in when he heard Max shout out. At the same moment Liz let down her guard and everyone quickly turned to her. They had all been hit with the unbelievable exhaustion she was feeling.
Soon after they started to make their way back to her, her legs gave out underneath her and she collapsed to the ground. Michael felt the panic well up in him as he ran to her.
He heard Maria let out a little cry and she flew past him and reached her first. Max had her head in his lap and was stroking the hair out of her face. His exhaustion from helping her along was evident on his face also. Maria sat beside her and grabbed onto her hand, Liz slowly opened her eyes.
Maria and Max got a far off look in their eyes, and Michael knew Liz was connected to them and sharing one of her visions. Both of their faces relaxed and they let out a sigh and looked down at her.
“She is okay, just tired, she will be good as new later on this evening.”
Kyle looked at Rigby and some of the animals who had gathered to see what the commotion was about, “Uh, she is kind of clairvoyant.” He tried to explain.
“clair-a-what?” asked Rigby.
“She can see into the future a little, its no big deal.” Said Michael.
Surprisingly enough Rigby and the crowd seemed satisfied with this answer. Everyone was just standing around and Michael was getting impatient. They weren’t more than a mile away, they shouldn’t stop now. Michael made up his mind and walked over to Maria and handed her his bag.
“Well aren’t you a gentleman…”Maria started to complain, but stopped when Michael scooped Liz into his arms.
He looked at everyone staring at him, “We are close, too close to stop. If nothing is seriously wrong then I will just carry her.” He explained.
Max was obviously not thrilled that Michael was taking it upon himself to do his job, he was going to complain but Michael wouldn’t let him. “You have been helping her all this time, and you’re tired. Let me help out a little.”
Max relaxed and then pressed his hand to Liz’s cheek, she looked at him and he leaned down and gave her a soft kiss.
“Hey, hey, no making out with the broad in my arms.” Everyone giggled and Liz looked up at Michael and sent him vibes of thankfulness. He smiled down at her and chastely kissed her on the forehead as she laid her head on his shoulder. They started to walk towards the castle again.
He would do anything for Liz, she had definitely become a sister to him. He could always count on her when he needed advice about Maria, or really advice about anything. She had stuck her neck out for him on many occasions, and saved his ass more than once. He would gladly die for her or for her baby, nothing would be the same if something happened to her.
Michael shifted a little with the weight in his arms. They were about a quarter mile away and Liz was really getting heavy. He could feel the sweat trickling down his face, and he knew he must be a little red.
“Geez Parker, how much weight have you put on with this pregnancy?” He joked.
As soon as he said it he felt Max tap him on the shoulder.
“Hey man, it was only a joke,” Michael started to defend himself.
“No, no. I’m fine now, I was going to take her from you.”
Michael didn’t complain and handed her back, then he reached down and picked up the bags Max had set down a moment ago.
They arrived at the palace fifteen minutes later. They were led inside and into a large room with four occupied thrones at the front. Liz was still resting in her husbands arms. Upon seeing them, the young woman with blonde hair and bright eyes shot out of her throne and rushed towards them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“What is wrong with her?” Asked Lucy, her hand fell into her pocket and wrapped around the small bottle of fireflower juice.
The young woman with the dark hair and chocolate eyes looked up to her, “I’m fine now, really, Max put me down.” He looked at her as if he was going to object, but she stared back at him and he finally relented. He sighed and kissed her temple before setting her down.
“She is all right, she just needs rest.” Lucy let the bottle fall back into the bottom of her pocket. She looked down and noticed the woman’s enlarged belly.
“Oh, here follow me.” She took Liz’s hand and led her to her vacated thrown. “I think you need to sit more than I do. I actually hate to sit quite a lot, especially in that big thing.” She urged the woman to sit.
She finally rested into it, sighed and said, “Thank-you”
Lucy ignored the disapproving look she got from the royal attendant. Herman was a stickler for the rules and tradition, but who needs formality when a pregnant woman needs to sit. She stood to the side of her seat and before anyone could say anything, Roland one of their military consultants rushed in.
He was probably upset about some unruly bushes or something. Roland happened to be a Cheetah, with well toned muscles and a smooth walk. He was a frightful looking creature, and if you didn’t know that he was actually rather polite, then you might be afraid of him.
Max, the dark headed man got an alarmed look on his face and immediately threw out his arm towards Liz. Lucy noticed that when he did that a transparent green field appeared in front of Liz and Lucy, blocking them from Roland. A moment later he realized the animal posed no threat, in fact, Roland was looking at him with a surprised look on his face.
Red began to creep into Max’s cheeks, and the tall blonde man was glaring at him. The rest of their group was looking a little sick and even the pregnant woman was sitting up, alert and alarmed. They were looking around trying to gage the reactions to the onlookers.
No one said anything until Edmund yelled out, “That was bloody brilliant!”
“Edmund, watch your language,” scolded Susan.
Immediately all the strangers relaxed, it seemed as if they all let out a sigh at the same time. Lucy looked over at her brother Peter and waited for him to speak, which he did, “Welcome to Narnia.”
He went around and introduced his family and the royal advisors that were there.
Max in turn introduced his group, he called them all his family. The young woman was Liz, his wife. The angry blonde man was Michael, and his wife was Maria, she was very pretty also. His sister, Isabel and her fiancée Kyle. Isabel was beyond gorgeous and Kyle had flashing blue eyes. In fact, everyone in their group was extremely gorgeous. The woman with dark hair, and soft eyes was introduced as Serena. And the short woman with the odd pink and black hair was introduced as Ava.
“It is nice to meet all of you. I am anxious to sit down and talk and learn about what brought you here, but I can tell that you are all tired. I will have an attendant show you to your rooms and we can talk at dinner. We will eat right after sunset, and I will send someone to wake you before then.” Said Peter.
They all nodded their heads in agreement, they looked excited at the prospect of rest. Liz stood on shaky feet and Max rushed to meet her. He picked her up into his arms before she could complain and carried her off.
Lucy felt a slight pang, Max and Liz obviously loved each other a great deal. They were lucky.
After they had all left the room Susan spoke up, “Well they certainly were different.”
“They are, but I like them,” Lucy replied.
“That doesn’t count, you like everyone!” Edmund teased.
“I guess we will get to know them, and their purpose for being here tonight.” With that Peter stood and walked out of the room with Roland and Edmund.
Susan looked over at Lucy, “you want to go for a swim?” Lucy nodded her head in agreement and skipped towards her bedroom.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Liz sighed with relief when Max set her down into the oversized bed. She nestled down under the covers and enjoyed the softness that was wrapped around her body. The bed was so soft she felt like she could sink all the way to the floor.
It didn’t even take a moment for Max to settle down behind her. She felt his strong arms wrap around her and pull her close and she nestled back into his warm chest.
They were just about to drift asleep when they heard the door open. “What do you want Michael?” asked Max without opening his eyes.
“You know what I want!” Shouted Michael.
Liz winced and opened one eye to look at Michael. He was standing by the bed with his arms crossed in front of his chest.
“You exposed of Max! We hadn’t been there for all of five minutes and you freaking exposed us!”
“Sorry, but I couldn’t risk Liz getting hurt. It’s a reflex, I see a large animal hurrying towards the general direction as my pregnant wife and I get a little defensive!” Replied Max.
Michael seemed to soften up a bit and was about to say something when Max continued, “besides, we are in a world filled with talking animals and man beasts, I hardly think they are the type to judge.”
Again Michael was about to open his mouth to say something but this time Liz cut him off, “Relax Michael. I don’t sense fear or distrust in them, only intrigue. They are good people, and they are very open with their emotions. Now go away so we can sleep.”
Michael seemed satisfied and left the room a lot quieter than he had entered.
Liz turned around and nuzzled her face into Max’s neck. She inhaled deeply, she loved the way he smelled, it made her feel safe. He sent her vibes of love and she sent them right back, they didn’t need words to tell each other how they felt anymore. She felt a small smile play across her lips and she drifted off to sleep.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Max was woken by someone knocking on the door.
“Mr. Max and Lady Liz, dinner will be served in an hour!”
Max pulled himself out of his slumber, “Thank you, we’re up.”
He looked over the room and noticed there were two basins filled with warm water with cloth’s next to them.
He looked down at Liz and decided to let her sleep for a few more minutes. She looks so beautiful when she sleeps, it drives him crazy. He was filled with a deep happiness as he looked at how peaceful she looked. She hadn’t had a peaceful sleep in six months, she really deserved it.
He took the cloth and dunked it in the water and started to wash his face and body. When he finished he pulled clean clothes out of his bag and changed. When he finished he looked down at Liz.
He filled the other cloth full of hot water and squeezed the excess off. He went over and sat on the edge of the bed and started to wash her face for her. As he did so her eyes fluttered open and she smiled up at him.
He felt the butterflies stir in his stomach, “After all these years I still get butterflies when you look at me.”
“Good,” she replied with a smile, “I got butterflies when I opened my eyes and saw you staring down at me.”
He leaned down and kissed her lips passionately, but pulled away before they got carried away.
“Dinner will be in about forty minutes, why don’t you wash up and change and I will go and meet up with Michael.”
“Okay,” she stretched and took the wash cloth from him. She began washing her neck as he walked out of the room and softly closed the door behind him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dinner was served in a large dining room, with enough food to feed an army.
There were roasted meats and fish. There were potatoes and salad and many different types of fruits. There were breads and an array of desserts.
Max felt the grumble in his stomach and didn’t know if he could keep himself from tearing into the food. They had lived on spaghettio’s and canned soup for so long he had forgotten what real food smelled like. He looked at his family and they all had similar looks on their faces.
They stood by their chairs as Peter, Edmund, Susan and Lucy walked in.
“Good evening, I hope your rooms were up to your standards.” Said Peter.
“We have been sleeping either on the ground or crammed into a van for so long we had forgotten what a bed felt like, the rooms were well above our standards,” answered Max.
“Well that’s great. I don’t know about you, but I’m hungry. Let’s eat and then we can talk after the meal.”
Everyone sat down and with the minimal amount of talking they all began to dig into the food. Max ate until he was sure he was going to throw up. Everyone else was finishing eating and the servants began to remove the plates from the table. When everyone was finished they all leaned back into their chairs and began to talk.
“So, what brings you here?” asked Peter.
Max and Michael exchanged and look and then looked at Peter, “It may take awhile, it is a long story.”
They had decided to tell them everything, Liz was sure they would take it well. Max told them about how their world was very different from this one, and he told them how some of them weren’t even from that world to begin with. He told them briefly about the war on their home planet and how they had been royalty and were killed. He told them how they had been remade and sent to a safe planet, and about being growing up there. He told them all about the shooting, and healing Liz. He told them about being taken by the government and about the skins. He told them about Tess and the dupes. He told them about Alex, none of the women had dry eyes when he finished that part. He told them about his son and about graduation and about being on the run. He explained about Serena and Ava, and how they became a part of their family.
“So your government was chasing you? Just because you are different?” asked Lucy.
“Yes, they want to study us. They don’t really trust us. But they stopped actively tracking us about a year ago. We thought that was the end of it, but then someone worse started to track us.” Explained Max.
“Who could be worse than your government?” asked Edmund.
“Our enemies from our original planet found us.” Said Michael.
“You explained about those… skins… you said you defeated them.” Said Peter.
“Yes that was only a small portion. The man who originally killed us, Kivar came to earth with a lot of reinforcements. He originally wanted to kill us, but when he found out that Liz is pregnant, with the true heir to Antar, he wanted to find her alive. He wants to take my child and then kill me.” Said Max.
“How awful!” gasped Susan, and put a hand to her mouth. Lucy reached out and placed her hand on top of Liz’s on the table.
“He is much worse than any evil being you can imagine. He has no respect for life, he will destroy anything that gets in his way. We want to find safety, but we don’t want to endanger your people.” Explained Max.
Everyone was silent for a moment, letting all the information digest.
Peter had a thoughtful look on his face, then opened his mouth to answer, “You will be safe here. I could not turn you away, I would never do a thing like that. If your enemy finds you, then we will deal with it when it happens. Until then, please stay and be comfortable. You are royalty after all!”
Max was instantly relieved. “Thank you.”
Max looked at his family, all though they were relieved, they were still tired.
“Retelling our lives has left us a little drained. It is painful to remember everything that has happened to us. If you don’t mind, I think we might like to turn in for the night. We can talk more in the morning.” Max motioned to the group, the girls all had tear stained faces and the men looked strained and tired.
“Of course! You can talk to us more tomorrow and perhaps enjoy a little leisure.” Said Peter.
“If it isn’t too much trouble, could you give us a demonstration of your powers also?” asked Edmund. He got a sharp look from his brother, but he just shrugged his shoulders.
Max smiled, “that would be fine with me.” He looked at everyone else and they all began to nod their heads.
With that they said good night to their new friends and shuffled off to bed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“What is wrong with her?” Asked Lucy, her hand fell into her pocket and wrapped around the small bottle of fireflower juice.
The young woman with the dark hair and chocolate eyes looked up to her, “I’m fine now, really, Max put me down.” He looked at her as if he was going to object, but she stared back at him and he finally relented. He sighed and kissed her temple before setting her down.
“She is all right, she just needs rest.” Lucy let the bottle fall back into the bottom of her pocket. She looked down and noticed the woman’s enlarged belly.
“Oh, here follow me.” She took Liz’s hand and led her to her vacated thrown. “I think you need to sit more than I do. I actually hate to sit quite a lot, especially in that big thing.” She urged the woman to sit.
She finally rested into it, sighed and said, “Thank-you”
Lucy ignored the disapproving look she got from the royal attendant. Herman was a stickler for the rules and tradition, but who needs formality when a pregnant woman needs to sit. She stood to the side of her seat and before anyone could say anything, Roland one of their military consultants rushed in.
He was probably upset about some unruly bushes or something. Roland happened to be a Cheetah, with well toned muscles and a smooth walk. He was a frightful looking creature, and if you didn’t know that he was actually rather polite, then you might be afraid of him.
Max, the dark headed man got an alarmed look on his face and immediately threw out his arm towards Liz. Lucy noticed that when he did that a transparent green field appeared in front of Liz and Lucy, blocking them from Roland. A moment later he realized the animal posed no threat, in fact, Roland was looking at him with a surprised look on his face.
Red began to creep into Max’s cheeks, and the tall blonde man was glaring at him. The rest of their group was looking a little sick and even the pregnant woman was sitting up, alert and alarmed. They were looking around trying to gage the reactions to the onlookers.
No one said anything until Edmund yelled out, “That was bloody brilliant!”
“Edmund, watch your language,” scolded Susan.
Immediately all the strangers relaxed, it seemed as if they all let out a sigh at the same time. Lucy looked over at her brother Peter and waited for him to speak, which he did, “Welcome to Narnia.”
He went around and introduced his family and the royal advisors that were there.
Max in turn introduced his group, he called them all his family. The young woman was Liz, his wife. The angry blonde man was Michael, and his wife was Maria, she was very pretty also. His sister, Isabel and her fiancée Kyle. Isabel was beyond gorgeous and Kyle had flashing blue eyes. In fact, everyone in their group was extremely gorgeous. The woman with dark hair, and soft eyes was introduced as Serena. And the short woman with the odd pink and black hair was introduced as Ava.
“It is nice to meet all of you. I am anxious to sit down and talk and learn about what brought you here, but I can tell that you are all tired. I will have an attendant show you to your rooms and we can talk at dinner. We will eat right after sunset, and I will send someone to wake you before then.” Said Peter.
They all nodded their heads in agreement, they looked excited at the prospect of rest. Liz stood on shaky feet and Max rushed to meet her. He picked her up into his arms before she could complain and carried her off.
Lucy felt a slight pang, Max and Liz obviously loved each other a great deal. They were lucky.
After they had all left the room Susan spoke up, “Well they certainly were different.”
“They are, but I like them,” Lucy replied.
“That doesn’t count, you like everyone!” Edmund teased.
“I guess we will get to know them, and their purpose for being here tonight.” With that Peter stood and walked out of the room with Roland and Edmund.
Susan looked over at Lucy, “you want to go for a swim?” Lucy nodded her head in agreement and skipped towards her bedroom.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Max was woken by someone knocking on the door.
“Mr. Max and Lady Liz, dinner will be served in an hour!”
Max pulled himself out of his slumber, “Thank you, we’re up.”
He looked over the room and noticed there were two basins filled with warm water with cloth’s next to them.
He looked down at Liz and decided to let her sleep for a few more minutes. She looks so beautiful when she sleeps, it drives him crazy. He was filled with a deep happiness as he looked at how peaceful she looked. She hadn’t had a peaceful sleep in six months, she really deserved it.
He took the cloth and dunked it in the water and started to wash his face and body. When he finished he pulled clean clothes out of his bag and changed. When he finished he looked down at Liz.
He filled the other cloth full of hot water and squeezed the excess off. He went over and sat on the edge of the bed and started to wash her face for her. As he did so her eyes fluttered open and she smiled up at him.
He felt the butterflies stir in his stomach, “After all these years I still get butterflies when you look at me.”
“Good,” she replied with a smile, “I got butterflies when I opened my eyes and saw you staring down at me.”
He leaned down and kissed her lips passionately, but pulled away before they got carried away.
“Dinner will be in about forty minutes, why don’t you wash up and change and I will go and meet up with Michael.”
“Okay,” she stretched and took the wash cloth from him. She began washing her neck as he walked out of the room and softly closed the door behind him.
For the feedback! It is really appreciated! Anyway, here is the next chapter!
Chapter Four
Everyone decided to take advantage of the comfort and safety and slept in late the next morning. They all seemed to wake around the same time, probably because of their shared mental connection.
When they woke they were led to the same dining room they had used the previous evening.
The attendant explained that the Kings and Queens had already eaten and were busy taking care of their business.
There was a large assortment of food on the table. There were all kinds of fruit and pastries. There were breads and jams. They had their choice of milk, juice or tea. They all sat down and were once again reminded of how good a meal can be. They ate for awhile and chattered happily amongst themselves.
When they finished up the attendants cleared away the table. Just then Lucy and Susan walked in.
“We were told you were awake!” Said Lucy as bounded into the room.
“We were just heading down to the beach for a swim and we were wondering if you wanted to join us.” Everyone nodded their heads.
“That sounds wonderful, it has been so long since we have been swimming!” Squealed Maria.
“Well we have had to swim, but it hasn’t been for leisure.” Said Liz, remembering a time when they had to escape the FBI’s dogs by swimming down a river.
“Oh, well we would love for you to join us.” Said Lucy.
“If ya don’t mind, I don’t think I will go.” Said Ava.
“Why not?” asked Serena.
“I would just like to explore a little, take a walk.”
“I could go with you, if you’d like.” Offered Liz.
“Naw, that’s okay. I want a little time to be alone, haven’t gotten much of a chance for that in awhile.”
Liz nodded in understanding. When the group stood up to follow Lucy and Susan to the dressing room, Ava went the opposite direction.
They were led into a large dressing room, with curtained off sections where people could have privacy to change. Lying on a table in the middle of the room were the suits.
“Here are the suits, you can choose any that you would like.” They were the forties styled suits, that left everything to the imagination.
Isabel wrinkled her nose. “They aren’t really much of our style, do you want to see something we can do with our powers.”
“Yeah sure!” Said Susan.
Isabel waved her hand over one of the suits and transformed it into a red bra-top bikini.
“Voila!” she said.
“Wow, that’s really neat.” Said Lucy.
Maria and Serena looked at her and Isabel waved her hand over two more. She made a dark blue bikini for Maria and a black one for Serena.
She looked at Liz, “I’ll do yours too.”
She waved her hand and transformed it into an oversized neon green suit, with tacky hot pink flowers. It was complete with one of those attached skirts to it.
“Oh gee thanks, as if I’m not self conscious enough.”
Everyone giggled and Isabel waved her hand over it again and made it into a simple black one piece with a low dipped back and a plunging neckline.
“Better, much, much better.” Said Max as he waved his hand over the men’s suits and turned theirs into simple knee-length board shorts.
“That is really amazing! I want one like that!” Said Lucy. Susan gave her a sharp look, and then looked at the newcomers suits again.
She immediately blushed, “I guess I would like one too, but could you make it a little less revealing?”
Isabel made Lucy a light pink bikini and Susan a hunter green takini so it wouldn’t show as much skin.
“Thank you so much!” said Susan.
“Yeah I can’t wait to get mine on, lets go change!”
They separated into the different rooms. When they re-emmerged they admired each other.
”You look really great!” Said Maria, directing her comment at Lucy and Susan.
“Thank- you!” Said Lucy as she twirled around.
Susan just blushed a little.
Liz looked over at Max and enjoyed looking at his toned abs and chest. He looked absolutely amazing. She looked up and saw Susan admiring him also. When she saw that Liz noticed she looked down and blushed.
Liz just walked to her and looped her arm through hers and then whispered, “It’s okay, he is great to look at!” Susan smiled at her in a way of thanks for not making a big deal about it.
Liz could tell she was really going to like this girl!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When they reached the beach they all bounded into the water except for Serena. She chose to sit and sun bath. She sat off a distance and watched as everyone swam. She looked up to the cloudless sky and smiled, it was perfect out today, it was even the perfect temperature outside.
This place really was magical.
She focused her attention to everyone playing and she felt her smile reach all the way inside her. It filled her with a profound happiness to see everyone laughing and playing.
Max was trying to dunk Liz so she used her powers to move the water and lift herself up above the rest of them. Kyle splashed her which caused her to lose her balance and she fell strait for Michael’s head. Thanks to his quick reflexes he caught her and began to lecture her about the baby’s safety.
Serena couldn’t help it, she left out a hearty laugh.
“You have a beautiful laugh.” The voice came from behind her and made her jump.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you,” Serena turned around and shaded her eyes with her hand and saw that Peter was standing behind her.
“It is okay, I’ve learned to be jumpy. Have a seat your majesty.” She patted the sand next to her.
“It’s Peter, please,” he said as he took her up on her offer. “Why aren’t you swimming with them?”
“I’m just enjoying the scenery. It is beautiful to see them so happy.”
She motioned to the water. Michael and Kyle had Maria and Isabel on their shoulders and they were having a contest to see who could knock the other over first. The rest of them were acting as referee’s. Peter glanced at them and then turned his attention back to Serena.
“You care for them a lot?” It was really more of a statement than a question.
“Yes, I really do. They saved my life, which is something I could never repay. I know I am only a few years older than them, but I really feel almost motherly with them.”
She looked over at Peter and he had an understanding look on his face, “I can relate. Being the eldest of all of my siblings, I have often felt it was by duty to watch out for them also.”
Serena smiled at him, she felt she had found a good friend in him. They sat in silence for a few moments and just enjoyed each others company.
“They do look happy.” Said Peter.
“Yes, which is a miracle, especially after what a nightmare things have been for us. We have come close to losing our lives on several occasions, and Max has had to heal several wounds.”
Peter looked at her, he didn’t say anything, instead he waited for her to elaborate.
“One time Kivar caught up with Max and Liz.” She paused, recalling the painful memory. “He brutally tortured Liz for hours, while he forced Max to watch. He derived a deep pleasure from taking her almost to death and then reviving her. It went on for hours and hours before we were able to get them out of there. It was a miracle that she and the baby survived at all. I guess the little guy is tough. It was then that Kivar found out that she was expecting Max’s child. Since then he has had a sick infatuation with her. He wants to force her to marry him and wants to raise the child as his own.”
She looked over at Peter and he had a dark look of anger on his face. He was studying Liz intently.
“What kind of man could commit such monstrous acts?”
“I’m telling you this to try and explain that he is just that, a monster. He won’t stop until he finds her, he won’t give up. I just thought you should know.”
Peter watched Liz as she twirled in the water. Her large chocolate eyes were shining and she had a huge smile on her face. Maria was still atop Michael’s shoulders and they were gloating over beating Isabel and Kyle. Then Liz used her powers to push a wave towards them that knocked them both over. She then erupted into a gleeful laugh, that soon had everyone else giggling with her.
Serena looked at Peter and saw that his jaw was set tight, “We will stop them. My kingdom and I will do whatever we can to aid you.”
“It’s her isn’t it. She makes you feel that way.” Said Serena, motioning towards Liz.
“Yes,” he answered honestly. “I don’t know what it is, but I see her and she resembles innocence and goodness. Her personality exudes kindness,” he tried to explain.
“She makes you feel a strong urge to protect her, doesn’t she.” Said Serena.
“Yes, she does. Not just her, but all of them. I see them and I see the happiness they still have. They haven’t been broken, and I think that if anyone has a right to be, it is them. But here they are, laughing and playing, you would never know the hell they have been forced to live. That is how I’m sure that this Kivar person can’t win. If he hasn’t broken them yet, I don’t think he ever will.” Said Peter.
“I know.” Serena reached out and placed her hand on top of Peters, “and thank you.”
He looked into her eyes and then turned his hand around and laced his fingers through hers as he replied, “your welcome.”
They sat like that, neither moving their hand from the other and watched as the youthful group swam in the blue ocean by the castle.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ava had wondered back into the woods, but didn’t stray to far from the castle. She had wanted to go and enjoy herself with the group, but she wanted to work on her powers more. She wanted to become stronger, so she could help the group who had taken her in when she thought for sure she would be alone for the rest of her life.
She was fairly certain that she wanted to protect Liz almost as much as Max did. She wouldn’t forget the way that Liz had welcomed her all those years ago in Roswell. She knew that Liz had strong negative feelings for her dupe Tess, she could sense it when they met.
Yet when Liz had found her outside in the cold, she didn’t hesitate to invite her in. She gave her a warm place to sleep and all the diner food she could eat. She did it all even though she had the same face as the woman who had done nothing but hurt her since they met.
All those years she had wandered by herself she always held on to the hope that she would meet up with Liz again. When they had found her in New York and they told her what her dupe had done it cut her deep.
She felt like she had to make things right, set things straight not only for herself but for Tess too. Ava was supposed to be the more alien one, so she knew that Tess had to of had some goodness in her. She knew that everyone loved her and accepted her, but she still felt like she had to constantly prove herself.
That was why she was sitting in a clearing, levitating pebbles. She had tried to throw them up in the air and then deflect them, but it didn’t have the desired results.
That’s what she was doing when someone came up behind her and said, “Impressive.”
She turned around with her arm raised in alarm and saw it was that King guy, Edward or something. “Yo Edward, what’s up? Might want to watch yourself, it isn’t smart to sneak up on an alien.”
“Um, its Edmund actually, and sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you.”
“You didn’t startle me. And sorry about the name thing.” He smiled at her and sat down on the log she was sitting on. She looked at him like he was intruding, but it didn’t result in him getting up.
“Can I help you?” she asked.
“What are you doing?” he asked.
“Bakin a cake, whats it look like? I’m practicing my powers for that demonstration thing later.” She said. “Is there anything else I could do for you?” She didn’t mean to be rude, but it was really hard for her to let people in, especially after what Lonnie and Rath had done to Zan.
“No, thought I would just watch.”
“Fine. If you are going to sit here like a cornball, why don’t you help me.”
“What do you want me to do?” She handed him a large handful of small rocks and pebbles.
“I want you to throw these at me, and hard too.” She said.
“You want me to what?” He asked in disbelief as she walked several yards in front of him.
“I. want. You. To. Throw. Those. At. Me.” She enunciated each word like he was deaf.
“Okay.” He tossed one at her which she deflected with no problem.
“What do you got a girls arm?” she taunted.
This seemed to fire him up a little and he threw the next one harder, which she deflected.
“A little better.” She said.
He wound up and threw the next one really hard, which she failed to deflect and it hit her in the arm.
“Ouch!” She yelped as a red yelp started to form on her arm.
Edmund dropped the rocks and rushed to her.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean,” he flustered out.
“No, its okay I told you to.”
She closed her eyes and concentrated on sending a vibe to Max, he felt her and healed her through their connection.
“Wow, are you like invincible or something?” asked Edmund as he watched the welt disappear.
“No, Max healed me through our connection. Nifty, huh?” She asked him.
He nodded in agreement, still staring at the spot of skin intently.
“Okay, go back and throw them at me again.”
“Are you sure?”
“Would I have asked you if I wasn’t?” she asked.
“No I guess not,” he resumed his position and continued to throw rocks at her.
She got really good at deflecting them, and they even moved on to larger rocks. Edmund got into it and even started trying to surprise her, so she wouldn’t know which direction they were coming from.
After a while she was getting tired so she told him it was time to stop.
“I should rest if I want to be up to the demonstration later.” She said and plopped down on the log again. Although she wouldn’t admit it, she was glad that he had come along. She would probably be here floating rocks still if he hadn’t.
“Thanks for the help, and sorry for being rude earlier.” She said.
“You were rude? I didn’t notice.” Said Edmund as he sat down next to her.
She just gave him a look and then didn’t say anything.
“Why aren’t you with your friends?” asked Edmund.
“Because I wanted to practice my powers.” Said Ava. “
Anyways, we should head back now, I want to check up with them.”
Edmund stood up and offered his hand to help her up, which she took after a moment.
She looked at him and admired his dark hair and dark eyes.
She didn’t really talk on the way back. Not because she didn’t want to, but she didn’t know how to talk to someone she might potentially have feelings for.
For the feedback! It is really appreciated! Anyway, here is the next chapter!
Chapter Four
Everyone decided to take advantage of the comfort and safety and slept in late the next morning. They all seemed to wake around the same time, probably because of their shared mental connection.
When they woke they were led to the same dining room they had used the previous evening.
The attendant explained that the Kings and Queens had already eaten and were busy taking care of their business.
There was a large assortment of food on the table. There were all kinds of fruit and pastries. There were breads and jams. They had their choice of milk, juice or tea. They all sat down and were once again reminded of how good a meal can be. They ate for awhile and chattered happily amongst themselves.
When they finished up the attendants cleared away the table. Just then Lucy and Susan walked in.
“We were told you were awake!” Said Lucy as bounded into the room.
“We were just heading down to the beach for a swim and we were wondering if you wanted to join us.” Everyone nodded their heads.
“That sounds wonderful, it has been so long since we have been swimming!” Squealed Maria.
“Well we have had to swim, but it hasn’t been for leisure.” Said Liz, remembering a time when they had to escape the FBI’s dogs by swimming down a river.
“Oh, well we would love for you to join us.” Said Lucy.
“If ya don’t mind, I don’t think I will go.” Said Ava.
“Why not?” asked Serena.
“I would just like to explore a little, take a walk.”
“I could go with you, if you’d like.” Offered Liz.
“Naw, that’s okay. I want a little time to be alone, haven’t gotten much of a chance for that in awhile.”
Liz nodded in understanding. When the group stood up to follow Lucy and Susan to the dressing room, Ava went the opposite direction.
They were led into a large dressing room, with curtained off sections where people could have privacy to change. Lying on a table in the middle of the room were the suits.
“Here are the suits, you can choose any that you would like.” They were the forties styled suits, that left everything to the imagination.
Isabel wrinkled her nose. “They aren’t really much of our style, do you want to see something we can do with our powers.”
“Yeah sure!” Said Susan.
Isabel waved her hand over one of the suits and transformed it into a red bra-top bikini.
“Voila!” she said.
“Wow, that’s really neat.” Said Lucy.
Maria and Serena looked at her and Isabel waved her hand over two more. She made a dark blue bikini for Maria and a black one for Serena.
She looked at Liz, “I’ll do yours too.”
She waved her hand and transformed it into an oversized neon green suit, with tacky hot pink flowers. It was complete with one of those attached skirts to it.
“Oh gee thanks, as if I’m not self conscious enough.”
Everyone giggled and Isabel waved her hand over it again and made it into a simple black one piece with a low dipped back and a plunging neckline.
“Better, much, much better.” Said Max as he waved his hand over the men’s suits and turned theirs into simple knee-length board shorts.
“That is really amazing! I want one like that!” Said Lucy. Susan gave her a sharp look, and then looked at the newcomers suits again.
She immediately blushed, “I guess I would like one too, but could you make it a little less revealing?”
Isabel made Lucy a light pink bikini and Susan a hunter green takini so it wouldn’t show as much skin.
“Thank you so much!” said Susan.
“Yeah I can’t wait to get mine on, lets go change!”
They separated into the different rooms. When they re-emmerged they admired each other.
”You look really great!” Said Maria, directing her comment at Lucy and Susan.
“Thank- you!” Said Lucy as she twirled around.
Susan just blushed a little.
Liz looked over at Max and enjoyed looking at his toned abs and chest. He looked absolutely amazing. She looked up and saw Susan admiring him also. When she saw that Liz noticed she looked down and blushed.
Liz just walked to her and looped her arm through hers and then whispered, “It’s okay, he is great to look at!” Susan smiled at her in a way of thanks for not making a big deal about it.
Liz could tell she was really going to like this girl!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ava had wondered back into the woods, but didn’t stray to far from the castle. She had wanted to go and enjoy herself with the group, but she wanted to work on her powers more. She wanted to become stronger, so she could help the group who had taken her in when she thought for sure she would be alone for the rest of her life.
She was fairly certain that she wanted to protect Liz almost as much as Max did. She wouldn’t forget the way that Liz had welcomed her all those years ago in Roswell. She knew that Liz had strong negative feelings for her dupe Tess, she could sense it when they met.
Yet when Liz had found her outside in the cold, she didn’t hesitate to invite her in. She gave her a warm place to sleep and all the diner food she could eat. She did it all even though she had the same face as the woman who had done nothing but hurt her since they met.
All those years she had wandered by herself she always held on to the hope that she would meet up with Liz again. When they had found her in New York and they told her what her dupe had done it cut her deep.
She felt like she had to make things right, set things straight not only for herself but for Tess too. Ava was supposed to be the more alien one, so she knew that Tess had to of had some goodness in her. She knew that everyone loved her and accepted her, but she still felt like she had to constantly prove herself.
That was why she was sitting in a clearing, levitating pebbles. She had tried to throw them up in the air and then deflect them, but it didn’t have the desired results.
That’s what she was doing when someone came up behind her and said, “Impressive.”
She turned around with her arm raised in alarm and saw it was that King guy, Edward or something. “Yo Edward, what’s up? Might want to watch yourself, it isn’t smart to sneak up on an alien.”
“Um, its Edmund actually, and sorry, I didn’t mean to startle you.”
“You didn’t startle me. And sorry about the name thing.” He smiled at her and sat down on the log she was sitting on. She looked at him like he was intruding, but it didn’t result in him getting up.
“Can I help you?” she asked.
“What are you doing?” he asked.
“Bakin a cake, whats it look like? I’m practicing my powers for that demonstration thing later.” She said. “Is there anything else I could do for you?” She didn’t mean to be rude, but it was really hard for her to let people in, especially after what Lonnie and Rath had done to Zan.
Chapter Five:
Everyone gathered in a large field near the castle at three in the afternoon.
Peter, Edmund, Susan, Lucy and about a dozen of their advisors had gathered to watch.
Other animals and creatures who lived nearby were also crowding in to get a glimpse of the strangers. News of their powers and where they came from had spread quickly and everyone was curious to see what they could do.
In the field there were rocks ranging from small to large. There was even a gigantic boulder the size of a truck there. There were some logs for Michael and basins of water for Liz. There was a large clearing for Kyle.
As everyone was settling in Peter made an announcement that it was time to begin. They decided to start the display with the mental powers, since there wasn’t too much to ‘show.’
Liz was the first to step forward. “I can receive controlled visions into the future.”
She scratched her head in thought, “it is kind of hard to prove immediately, obviously, so I would say you can see the effects in a few days. If I could have someone volunteer, I may be able to get a vision.” Peter stood, “I’ll do it.”
Liz smiled and walked up to him, “I will have to touch your hand.” He reached out to her and she lightly took his hand in hers. She closed her eyes in concentration for a moment then a smile spread across her face. She motioned for Lucy, Susan and Maria to come over.
She leaned in and whispered to them. Lucy and Maria giggled while Susan blushed a little.
Peter was looking a little worried then Liz spoke up, “I told these girls what I saw so we can confirm it later. My other power is physical so I will show you later.” Liz stepped back to the group. Max took her hand and kissed it then put his arm around her.
Isabel was the next to step up. “I’ll need a volunteer,” she said, this time Susan stood up.
Isabel was a little surprised, Susan seemed to be the most conservative. She sent her a thankful smile and explained what she could do. “I can do something we have always called a dream walk. Essentially if I can form a connection with someone while they are sleeping I can enter their dreams and watch. I have been practicing and I can also get bits of information, but the person has to be really projecting it for it to work. Susan, that is what I’m going to try with you, don’t worry, I don’t plan on entering your dreams.”
She turned to face the young woman. “Now I want you to think about your favorite color, your favorite activity, and a nonsense sentence. Think about them over and over again.”
Isabel stood in front of her and closed her eyes in concentration, Susan mimicked her actions. A few moments later Isabel opened her eyes and smiled. “Dark green, archery, and the weeping lions dance to a purple song.”
Susan flashed her a smile, “That’s right!” She squeezed Isabel’s hand and then made her way back to her seat.
“Okay, I have also developed a method to put people to sleep. We call the dream world and dream plane, and we have used it as a method of communicating with one another in the past, when other methods would not have worked. We used it the time that Max was taken by our government. Anyway, I found out, by accident that I could pull awake people onto the dream plane, causing them to fall asleep. I can do it with enemies and it has been really helpful. But, I don’t think that anyone is really up for a nap now, so you’ll have to take my word for it!” She said.
“I think we will.” Said Peter.
“Okay, well that is all I’ve got to show you then.” Isabel went and took her place next to Kyle, slipping her hand into his.
Ava took a step forward. “I’m the only one left with any significant mental abilities. I have to tell you I’m a little wary of my power, it is called a mind warp. It was responsible for the death of their good friend Alex.”
The audience was giving her an alarmed look, as if she was a killer. She quickly clarified, “It wasn’t me that did it! It was my duplicate, Tess. Anyway, I don’t use my power unless it is on the enemy. Basically I can make people see things that aren’t really there. I have used it to hide us countless times, or to divert the enemy away from us. I can give you a demonstration, it isn’t dangerous unless it is used frequently for long periods of time, so you don’t have to worry.”
The royals nodded and Ava closed her eyes in concentration. Suddenly they all stood up and began staring at the sky. The audience looked up too, trying to see what they saw. Lucy and Susan began clapping their hands happily and Peter and Edmund were smiling. Ava shook her head and broke the warp.
“She made the sky go dark, like nighttime and then gave us a short fireworks display,” Said Edmund.
Max took a step forward. “That is all of the significant mental abilities. We all also have a connection with each other. We can sense each others emotions and we can especially sense pain. Physically we can all change molecular structures. That sounds complicated, but it is rather simple. Lucy and Susan saw Isabel do it this morning while making bathing suits.”
All the aliens started to do various things to demonstrate. Isabel changed the color of her shirt. Michael transformed a rock into a statue. While Michael was crouched down Kyle went behind him and changed his hair color to pink. The crowd broke into laughter. Kyle thought it was hilarious until Michael changed his clothes into a pink gown. This fueled the crowd into an uproar of laughter. Kyle quickly changed his clothes back and glared over at Michael. They waited a few minutes for the crowd to die down.
Max spoke up again. “The ability to sense pain is helpful since I have the power to heal. Through the connection I can heal their wounds, as long as it isn’t anything to serious. If it is a fatal wound or one that goes deep I have to have a physical connection with them to heal it. I don’t think it is one I really want to demonstrate, because that would require someone to be hurt.”
Edmund stood and said, “I witnessed it earlier today when Ava hurt her arm, she concentrated for a moment and then the welt disappeared. It was rather amazing really.”
Max nodded and continued, “My other power is that of a shield, which you witnessed yesterday. Michael, want to come over here and help me?”
Michael trotted towards him and stopped about fifteen feet away. He then began to throw energy blasts at Max who had his shield up to protect. They couldn’t really see the blasts but they did see the ripple effect on the shield whenever one was thrown.
Michael decided to mix it up and flung his arm out towards Ava and fired a blast at her. Max responded quickly and threw his shield over to surround her, just in time to absorb the energy. The audience had let out an audible gasp when this happened.
Ava turned towards Max with a grateful smile, “Thank you.” She turned her head to Michael and gave him a death glare while placing one hand on her hip and the other stretched towards him. He threw his arms up in a defensive posture.
“What? It was really low level, wouldn’t have even left a mark!”
“I just don’t like bein used for target practice is all.” She said, moving into a less offensive posture.
“Yeah Michael, and your really known for your control!” Said Maria, rolling her eyes.
“You know, I resent that. Sure I didn’t have great control to begin with but you know I do now!” He said, his face darkening into one of his classic scowls. Maria squared off, ready to go for another round when Isabel interrupted.
“Now isn’t the time for bickering! Can you move on with it?” She turned to everyone else, “Sorry they go at it like that all the time. Your lucky I stopped it when I did, there is no telling how long they would have gone on.”
Everyone chuckled a little and Maria looked down, a blush grazing her cheeks. Michael went over and put his arm around her then kissed the top of her head.
“That’s about all I can do. We can all send out blasts, but nothing compared to what Michael can do.” Max took a step back. Michael pulled his arm off Maria and walked forward. “Well since I’m all warmed up, I guess I’ll go next.”
He wasn’t much for explaining so he just turned his arm towards the rocks. He blew up several of the smaller and medium sized rocks. The larger ones were tougher and he couldn’t really dent any of the gigantic ones.
“That’s about it for the blasting.” He turned towards a pile of logs lying on the ground, held out his hand and focused his energy. In a few moments a small fire started and began growing a little larger. “I can do that too.”
He turned his head away from it as it began to spread even further. Liz sighed and took a step forward, she held out her hand toward one of the basins and water came out and landed on the fire, putting it out.
“Come on Liz, you always do that just when it starts getting good!” Michael whined.
“Yeah, and we also don’t want to start a fire that could spread to the forest do we?” Michael sighed and went to stand back towards Maria.
“I can control water, and that power is leading towards slight control of the weather, but it has to deal with precipitation.” She held her hand toward another basin and the water rose out and dissipated into a mist. It ran smoothly over the ground and then gathered around the group hiding them. She then gathered the mist back up to the basin and changed it to water again. She was sweating pretty hard and Max held out an arm to steady her.
“Sorry, this takes a lot out of me. I have always been practicing with altering the temperature from a distance. I think I may eventually be able to move the mist around an enemy and then cause it to freeze, incasing them in ice.” She allowed herself to lean on Max a little more.
Ava went ahead and walked to the front. “Physically I have developed a touch of telekinetic powers. Edmund, do you want to help me?”
He nodded and stood. He walked to a pile of smaller rocks and collected a few.
He was about to wind up his arm and let one rip when Susan’s shrill voice stopped him, “Edmund, what on earth are you doing??”
“Just watch, okay.” She still seemed wary but sat down and watched. He wound his arm and threw a rock at her and she easily deflected it. He did a few more and Michael stood. He started throwing low level blasts at her and she diverted those too.
When she felt she had done enough she nodded her head and Edmund and Michael stopped their onslaught and returned to their places. The crowd clapped for her and she stood next to Serena.
The only one left to demonstrate was Kyle so he walked to the center of the field.
“I have super speed and super strength.” He explained.
He demonstrated by running to the far end of the field. It didn’t take more than a moment, and took everyone a few seconds to locate him. He ran back and forth a few times so everyone could see.
The crowd was clapping for him and it seemed to fuel him.
He walked over to a large boulder and lifted it. He used to hands and acted like it was hard. He caused the crowd to gasp when he launched it to the air and then easily caught it with one arm. He pumped the other in the air to the amusement of the spectators.
He continued lifting rocks and tossing them around in the air, all the while milking the crowd for attention. Leave it to Kyle to put on a show.
The crowd died down a bit and Kyle walked over to Isabel and scooped her into is arms, giving her a light kiss.
Max began to speak again, “That is about all we can do. Also our powers are amplified whenever we are physically connected, we can demonstrate with Michael.”
He motioned to Michael who took a step forward, he focused all his energy and was barely able to make a large boulder explode. Then Max put his hand on one shoulder and held hands Liz, who held hands with Ava, who held hands with Serena. Isabel touched his other shoulder and Kyle held her hand, with Maria holding his.
They all closed their eyes in concentration.
Michael looked down and when he looked up again his eyes had gone all black. Those who could see it gasped.
He stuck out his hand and focused on a large boulder. It exploded, he turned his hand and obliterated another one. He wasn’t even sweating. He turned to the gigantic one and it flew apart into a cloud of dust. They broke the connection and Michael blinked, when he looked back his eyes were their normal color again
.
The crowd was silent. They seemed stunned by the amazing display of power. Maybe they had shown them too much too fast, overwhelmed them.
Max was currently kicking himself for letting his guard down and Michael was planning their escape.
Then just like a movie Peter stood and started to clap. He was quickly joined in by the rest of the royals and the crowd soon followed. Max and Michael visibly relaxed, and Michael even smiled a little.
The crowd continued to cheer and everyone was a little shy about the attention, they were used to blending in, not standing out. Everyone except Kyle, he was pumping his arms in the air and cheering. Isabel smiled at him and wrapped an arm around his waist. He turned to her and kissed her.
A few minutes later the crowd began to disperse and they headed towards the castle for dinner.
She turned to face the young woman. “Now I want you to think about your favorite color, your favorite activity, and a nonsense sentence. Think about them over and over again.”
Isabel stood in front of her and closed her eyes in concentration, Susan mimicked her actions. A few moments later Isabel opened her eyes and smiled. “Dark green, archery, and the weeping lions dance to a purple song.”
Susan flashed her a smile, “That’s right!” She squeezed Isabel’s hand and then made her way back to her seat.
“Okay, I have also developed a method to put people to sleep. We call the dream world and dream plane, and we have used it as a method of communicating with one another in the past, when other methods would not have worked. We used it the time that Max was taken by our government. Anyway, I found out, by accident that I could pull awake people onto the dream plane, causing them to fall asleep. I can do it with enemies and it has been really helpful. But, I don’t think that anyone is really up for a nap now, so you’ll have to take my word for it!” She said.
“I think we will.” Said Peter.
“Okay, well that is all I’ve got to show you then.” Isabel went and took her place next to Kyle, slipping her hand into his.
Ava took a step forward. “I’m the only one left with any significant mental abilities. I have to tell you I’m a little wary of my power, it is called a mind warp. It was responsible for the death of their good friend Alex.”
The audience was giving her an alarmed look, as if she was a killer. She quickly clarified, “It wasn’t me that did it! It was my duplicate, Tess. Anyway, I don’t use my power unless it is on the enemy. Basically I can make people see things that aren’t really there. I have used it to hide us countless times, or to divert the enemy away from us. I can give you a demonstration, it isn’t dangerous unless it is used frequently for long periods of time, so you don’t have to worry.”
The royals nodded and Ava closed her eyes in concentration. Suddenly they all stood up and began staring at the sky. The audience looked up too, trying to see what they saw. Lucy and Susan began clapping their hands happily and Peter and Edmund were smiling. Ava shook her head and broke the warp.
“She made the sky go dark, like nighttime and then gave us a short fireworks display,” Said Edmund.
Max took a step forward. “That is all of the significant mental abilities. We all also have a connection with each other. We can sense each others emotions and we can especially sense pain. Physically we can all change molecular structures. That sounds complicated, but it is rather simple. Lucy and Susan saw Isabel do it this morning while making bathing suits.”
All the aliens started to do various things to demonstrate. Isabel changed the color of her shirt. Michael transformed a rock into a statue. While Michael was crouched down Kyle went behind him and changed his hair color to pink. The crowd broke into laughter. Kyle thought it was hilarious until Michael changed his clothes into a pink gown. This fueled the crowd into an uproar of laughter. Kyle quickly changed his clothes back and glared over at Michael. They waited a few minutes for the crowd to die down.
Max spoke up again. “The ability to sense pain is helpful since I have the power to heal. Through the connection I can heal their wounds, as long as it isn’t anything to serious. If it is a fatal wound or one that goes deep I have to have a physical connection with them to heal it. I don’t think it is one I really want to demonstrate, because that would require someone to be hurt.”
Edmund stood and said, “I witnessed it earlier today when Ava hurt her arm, she concentrated for a moment and then the welt disappeared. It was rather amazing really.”
Max nodded and continued, “My other power is that of a shield, which you witnessed yesterday. Michael, want to come over here and help me?”
Michael trotted towards him and stopped about fifteen feet away. He then began to throw energy blasts at Max who had his shield up to protect. They couldn’t really see the blasts but they did see the ripple effect on the shield whenever one was thrown.
Michael decided to mix it up and flung his arm out towards Ava and fired a blast at her. Max responded quickly and threw his shield over to surround her, just in time to absorb the energy. The audience had let out an audible gasp when this happened.
Ava turned towards Max with a grateful smile, “Thank you.” She turned her head to Michael and gave him a death glare while placing one hand on her hip and the other stretched towards him. He threw his arms up in a defensive posture.
“What? It was really low level, wouldn’t have even left a mark!”
“I just don’t like bein used for target practice is all.” She said, moving into a less offensive posture.
“Yeah Michael, and your really known for your control!” Said Maria, rolling her eyes.
“You know, I resent that. Sure I didn’t have great control to begin with but you know I do now!” He said, his face darkening into one of his classic scowls. Maria squared off, ready to go for another round when Isabel interrupted.
“Now isn’t the time for bickering! Can you move on with it?” She turned to everyone else, “Sorry they go at it like that all the time. Your lucky I stopped it when I did, there is no telling how long they would have gone on.”
Everyone chuckled a little and Maria looked down, a blush grazing her cheeks. Michael went over and put his arm around her then kissed the top of her head.
“That’s about all I can do. We can all send out blasts, but nothing compared to what Michael can do.” Max took a step back. Michael pulled his arm off Maria and walked forward. “Well since I’m all warmed up, I guess I’ll go next.”
He wasn’t much for explaining so he just turned his arm towards the rocks. He blew up several of the smaller and medium sized rocks. The larger ones were tougher and he couldn’t really dent any of the gigantic ones.
“That’s about it for the blasting.” He turned towards a pile of logs lying on the ground, held out his hand and focused his energy. In a few moments a small fire started and began growing a little larger. “I can do that too.”
He turned his head away from it as it began to spread even further. Liz sighed and took a step forward, she held out her hand toward one of the basins and water came out and landed on the fire, putting it out.
“Come on Liz, you always do that just when it starts getting good!” Michael whined.
“Yeah, and we also don’t want to start a fire that could spread to the forest do we?” Michael sighed and went to stand back towards Maria.
“I can control water, and that power is leading towards slight control of the weather, but it has to deal with precipitation.” She held her hand toward another basin and the water rose out and dissipated into a mist. It ran smoothly over the ground and then gathered around the group hiding them. She then gathered the mist back up to the basin and changed it to water again. She was sweating pretty hard and Max held out an arm to steady her.
“Sorry, this takes a lot out of me. I have always been practicing with altering the temperature from a distance. I think I may eventually be able to move the mist around an enemy and then cause it to freeze, incasing them in ice.” She allowed herself to lean on Max a little more.
Ava went ahead and walked to the front. “Physically I have developed a touch of telekinetic powers. Edmund, do you want to help me?”
He nodded and stood. He walked to a pile of smaller rocks and collected a few.
He was about to wind up his arm and let one rip when Susan’s shrill voice stopped him, “Edmund, what on earth are you doing??”
“Just watch, okay.” She still seemed wary but sat down and watched. He wound his arm and threw a rock at her and she easily deflected it. He did a few more and Michael stood. He started throwing low level blasts at her and she diverted those too.
When she felt she had done enough she nodded her head and Edmund and Michael stopped their onslaught and returned to their places. The crowd clapped for her and she stood next to Serena.
The only one left to demonstrate was Kyle so he walked to the center of the field.
“I have super speed and super strength.” He explained.
He demonstrated by running to the far end of the field. It didn’t take more than a moment, and took everyone a few seconds to locate him. He ran back and forth a few times so everyone could see.
The crowd was clapping for him and it seemed to fuel him.
He walked over to a large boulder and lifted it. He used to hands and acted like it was hard. He caused the crowd to gasp when he launched it to the air and then easily caught it with one arm. He pumped the other in the air to the amusement of the spectators.
He continued lifting rocks and tossing them around in the air, all the while milking the crowd for attention. Leave it to Kyle to put on a show.
The crowd died down a bit and Kyle walked over to Isabel and scooped her into is arms, giving her a light kiss.
Max began to speak again, “That is about all we can do. Also our powers are amplified whenever we are physically connected, we can demonstrate with Michael.”
He motioned to Michael who took a step forward, he focused all his energy and was barely able to make a large boulder explode. Then Max put his hand on one shoulder and held hands Liz, who held hands with Ava, who held hands with Serena. Isabel touched his other shoulder and Kyle held her hand, with Maria holding his.
They all closed their eyes in concentration.
Michael looked down and when he looked up again his eyes had gone all black. Those who could see it gasped.
He stuck out his hand and focused on a large boulder. It exploded, he turned his hand and obliterated another one. He wasn’t even sweating. He turned to the gigantic one and it flew apart into a cloud of dust. They broke the connection and Michael blinked, when he looked back his eyes were their normal color again
.
The crowd was silent. They seemed stunned by the amazing display of power. Maybe they had shown them too much too fast, overwhelmed them.
Max was currently kicking himself for letting his guard down and Michael was planning their escape.
Then just like a movie Peter stood and started to clap. He was quickly joined in by the rest of the royals and the crowd soon followed. Max and Michael visibly relaxed, and Michael even smiled a little.
The crowd continued to cheer and everyone was a little shy about the attention, they were used to blending in, not standing out. Everyone except Kyle, he was pumping his arms in the air and cheering. Isabel smiled at him and wrapped an arm around his waist. He turned to her and kissed her.
A few minutes later the crowd began to disperse and they headed towards the castle for dinner.
A.N. New chapter. Really short and really fluffy but I wanted to give you guys something!
Chapter 6
After their demonstration it was beginning to get dark so it meant that it was time for dinner. The group enjoyed another feast while answering any questions the royals had regarding their powers. They also told them anything else they knew about their planet and the nature of the war. They also talked about their families they had left at home and the lives they were forced to drop.
After the meal the group went their separate ways.
The demonstration had worn Liz out so Max took her back to their room.
Maria talked about fashion with Lucy, they told each other what was considered fashionable. Maria promised to have Isabel make her some clothes in exchange for some of the medieval dresses Lucy wore.
Susan, Serena and Ava were having a quiet discussion about those they loved.
Michael was trying to explain hockey to Peter and Edmund, promising to show them if they wanted.
Kyle and Isabel went for a walk together.
They walked hand in hand down the beach. Isabel glanced out at the water and enjoyed the way the moonlight seemed to dance on the surface of the water as the waves lapped at her feet.
She gazed down at her fingers intertwined with Kyle’s and couldn’t help but notice how well they fit together. They had been so preoccupied during their relationship that she never got to notice the small things.
She smiled down at his hands and then followed the line up his arm up to his face. His intense eyes met hers and a smile crossed his lips. She hadn’t gotten to see him smile like that in almost six months. She could feel his happiness and read his emotions without her gift, it was right there in his eyes.
“It is really beautiful here,” he smiled down at her, “and I don’t mean just the scenery either.” She felt her stomach flip a little. No matter how many times he told her she was beautiful it still made her giddy.
She felt a blush rise in her cheeks a little and she flashed him a bright smile. She had never been one to blush before, that was a reaction she saved for Kyle. She took a deep breath of the salty air and looked again over the ocean.
“I’m really happy here.” She said, still trying to take in their surroundings. She wouldn’t have thought they would be happily walking alongside a beach, not even bothering to make sure they weren’t being followed.
“I am too. It’s a little strange, but it feels right.”
He took his hand out of hers and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, pulled her against him. They walked on in silence enjoying the warmth they were receiving from one another.
Kyle leaned over and placed a kiss on her temple to get her attention.
She looked at him and waited for him to talk, “I know that our plants for the future were put on the back burner with everyting that happened. But I feel like it is safe now, I don’t know whether or not we will stay safe,” he paused and stopped their walking, turning her to face him.
“We can’t continue to put our lives on hold. We can’t continue to let fear run our lives, we are cheating ourselves if we do.” Isabel looked into his eyes, her stomach doing somersaults at what she thought he was implying.
“So your saying that...” She led off for him.
He cupped her face in his hands and ran a thumb over her lips. “Isabel, will you marry me? Again?”
She immediately felt the tears form in her eyes and she let out a screech which she hoped Kyle would translate as a yes and jumped into his arms. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close. She looked at him and pressed her lips firmly against his. He returned the kiss and lifted her off her feet twirling her around.
“We should go tell the others!” He said with an excited glint in his eye. She nodded in agreement and they hurried back to the castle hand in hand.
Thanks for all the feedback! And thanks also for the bumps and kicks in the backside from Timelord. You will be happy to know that I have finished the outline for this story and I also have Chapter 8 written. I’m probably going to spend a few more hours today working on this and hopefully I will build up a few chapters so I can post on a regular basis. I’m sorry this has taken to long to update, but my muse left me for a moment, but it seems she has returned with a flourish. Anyhow, enjoy this chapter and let me know what you think about it!!!! This Chapter is a little bit longer than what I usually post, kind of a gift for making you wait so long!
Chapter 7
The first month of living in Narnia had flown by for all of the Roswell group. They met a lot of different personalities, those who ranked high in their society and those who didn’t. There was a lot of interest in the other humans who had come to live in their land, especially since they had special powers. There were was a minority who feared them, but mostly everyone accepted them because their kings and queens trusted them.
The girls found that they had started to add a lot more of the traditional Narnian clothes to their wardrobe. They enjoyed the beautiful gowns that they could wear to dinner and to explore in. They had started to feel a little out of place in their jeans and tank-tops.
The news of Isabel and Kyle setting a date was met with a lot of excitement and all the girls immediately started to plan. Isabel found that she could plan her dream wedding in the strange land they were living in. Kyle sat back and let her take the reigns, submitting to anything she needed done on his part.
Liz’s pregnancy was soaring a long and as she entered her seventh month she only grew larger and larger. Max was quick to help her with anything she needed and almost everyone made a fuss over her. She knew they meant well, but all the attention was beginning to wear thin on her. She was thankful for Isabel’s wedding because it took a little of the spotlight off of her.
Ava and Edmund began to spend more and more time together. Initially he just helped her to train, but that evolved into long walks and deep conversations. They both had aspects of their pasts they weren’t proud of and were surprised at the ease they were able to confide into each other. They hadn’t announced anything, but it was clear to everyone around them that they were a couple.
Serena and Peter spent an increasing amount of time together also. They had made their relationship public and their friends and family expected him to propose at any time.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Isabel was having a busy day.
She was busy fluttering about the castle grounds to ensure that every detail was just right. She noted to herself that when you had a full staff on hand it was much easier to get things exactly how you wanted them to be. It would have been great if they could have done all of this for Liz and Maria too.
Maybe Isabel would have to plan them a vowel renewal ceremony just so they could have all the bells and whistles too.
It had been one month since Kyle had proposed, and she hadn’t wanted to wait longer than necessary to marry him. Somehow she had a feeling that all this happiness wouldn’t be able to last, and she didn’t want to tempt fate by planning her wedding for a year.
Isabel looked around the beach beside the castle, everything looked perfect. They were going to have their wedding at sunset, so their guests could watch them be married just as the sun touched the edge of the water.
The alter was underneath a white archway that was entwined with hundreds of flowers. The chairs were set up, with flower bouquets tied to the ends of each aisle. Everything out here looked perfect.
Isabel walked to where the castle employees were helping. Liz was directing them while sitting on a chair with her feet propped up. She was now a little over seven and half months pregnant and her belly was starting to become a little overwhelming for her.
She turned her head towards Isabel when she saw her approaching.
“Relax Izzie, everything here is progressing perfectly.” She said with a smile on her face.
“You just need to go and take a long bath, maybe a little nap, then we will be in to help you dress.”
Isabel had made Liz her maiden of honor, seeing as how she was her sister-in-law. She had gone about her duties well, never complaining even though Isabel knew she must be getting tired.
“I have a better idea. How about I sit here and watch them finish this up, there isn’t much left to be done. You go and take a bath, and perhaps a nap and then come and help me get ready. I don’t want you to wear yourself out too much.” Said Isabel as she sat next to her and placed a hand on Liz’s stomach.
“Really Iz, I’m okay. I’ve been sitting pretty much all day so safe my strength for later. I’m going to be fine.”
“Okay, here’s another idea. When I left Ava was just about finished checking over the details of the dresses, she just had some minor things to fix. How about we send her out here to finish this up, then you and I go and relax in the hot springs for a while then we both get ready.”
“Deal.”
The girls got up and quickly found Ava, filling her in on their plan. She readily agreed and sent them on their way to relax.
Before changing into their bathing suits they stopped by the great hall to find Maria, Lucy and Susan. They were overseeing the preparations for the ceremony. When they entered the room the delicate fragrance of flowers greeted them. The band was setting up in the corner. It was a ten piece band of traditional Narnian instruments. They sound different than anything from before, but beautiful just the same.
The tables all had white linens on them and the chairs were covered in linen slips, the draw stings were a soft lavender color. Each table had a tall vase with what was the equivalent to a lavender-colored Lily, they are very beautiful and could be found all over Narnia. The vase sat on top of a square mirror plate with white and purple flower petals sprinkles around it.
The head table had a toule canopy filled with flower petals hanging above it, and the cake table was decorated in a similar fashion. There were candles everywhere and the whole room seemed like something out of a fairy tale. Which Isabel thought was fitting because it was almost like they were in a fairy tale.
Satisfied with the progress there, Isabel told Maria their plan. She told them she was almost finished and would join them shortly, and let Serena know on the way.
Serena had the honor of keeping the Groom and his part in line. Isabel didn’t even want to think about how that was going, she hoped they were all on their best behavior, but somehow she knew that was unlikely.
Isabel couldn’t keep the smile off her face as her and Liz made their way to the hot springs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Michael, don’t you dare tackle him. Michael. MICHAEL!”
Things were going as smoothly for Serena as they were going for Isabel.
It seemed that with all the excitement of the wedding, the guys were extra riled up. They were currently playing a game of football with Peter and Edmund. They had taught them the game and they had immediately fallen in love with it.
Sports were great, but not three hours before Kyle’s wedding. The last thing they needed was for Max to be exhausted the entire night for having to heal their idiotic injuries.
Kyle had just gotten his sprained arm fixed and now Michael was preparing to tackle him again.
The guys still had to go and try their suits on one last time so they could make any last minute alterations, but for now they just weren’t listening.
Serena was wondering for the fiftieth time why she got stuck with this job. Oh yeah, she had drawn the short stick from the group.
Serena stood up from where she had been sitting on the ground. The guys were completely ignoring her and they continued their rowdy game. Serena stuck two fingers into her mouth and let out a piercing whistle.
They stopped mid-play and Michael got hit on the side of the head with the football he was supposed to catch. He let out a yelp and held the side of his face.
“What the hell Serena?” He asked, Max was already making his way over to check out his injuries.
“Listen up, and listen well. Kyle, you are getting married in three hours and we still haven’t done your final suit fitting. Now here is what you are going to do. You are all going to march yourselves inside and bathe, because right now you smell like a bunch pigs. Then you are going to meet me in the tailor’s room and we are going to make sure your suits fit nicely. Then you are all going to SIT DOWN with your hands in your laps until the ceremony begins.”
Michael started to open his mouth to complain, but Serena quickly stopped him.
“If you don’t want to listen to me, that’s fine. I’ll just go get Isabel… or worse yet, I’ll get LIZ. And if you REALLY want to fight me, I’ll go and get the both of them!” With that Serena stamped her foot into the ground and held out her hand pointing towards the castle.
The guys fell in line quickly. They didn’t want to have Isabel or Liz because either one would probably beat them into submission. They walked towards the castle mumbling under their breath about ‘mean Serena’ and ‘just trying to play a little game’ as they went.
Fifteen minutes later they were all assembled in the tailor’s room, hair still wet, but clean nonetheless. Serena handed them their suits and then sent them off to change into them, they came back twenty minutes later. Serena thought about commenting on how it took them longer to dress than bathe, but decided to bite her tongue.
She was looking over Michael’s suit when a servant walked in with a large tray of food.
“Finally!” They said, almost as a group and Serena was left, measuring tape in hand has they all swarmed around tray.
“Michael, get back here, right now.”
“What? I’m just trying to get something to eat.” He returned with two cupcakes in his hand and climbed back onto the pedestal. A moment later Serena felt something softly dropping into her hair, she looked up and was hit in the face with cup cake crumbs directly from Michael’s mouth.
She felt her face growing hot and was about to jab Michael with the pin she was holding until she felt someone begin to gently wipe at her face with a napkin.
“Michael, watch where you’re dribbling your food.” Said Peter as he gently wiped at Serena’s face.
“Sorry,” he mumbled out around a mouthful of cupcake.
Serena stood up and went and grabbed Max by the arm, hauling him over to where she stood.
“I’m done doing this the hard way. Max, take that up just a little bit at the bottom.” Max quickly complied and did as she said. She went through and fixed everyone’s suits in the same fashion and was done in just fifteen minutes. Just then there was a knock on the door and Maria entered.
“Hey Serena. We are meeting Liz and Isabel at the hot springs to relax for a few minutes if you would like to join us.” Serena could almost feel her muscles relax at the thought, but she looked over and it appeared that Kyle was going to chuck a pastry at Max’s head and she shook her head.
“I would love to, but I can’t. If I leave they will probably destroy each other.” Serena motioned towards them with her hand. Maria took a few steps into the room.
“Okay, listen up. Serena is leaving to go and enjoy some well earned relaxation time. If you can’t take care of yourselves until she gets back, ready for the wedding then you will have to deal with me, Isabel and Liz. If this evening doesn’t go perfectly for Isabel you will not like waking up without body parts I’m sure you find to be VERY important.”
The guys all gulped and subconsciously covered their groins with their hands.
“Yes Maria.” They answered and all sat in a chair with their hands in their laps.
With that Maria left with Serena and they headed towards the hot springs.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Isabel stood in front of the full length mirror in her dressing room. Maria was straitening her dress around the bottom. She gazed at the gown, she blended things she liked from before with the Narnian style and it was a dress made for a princess.
The top fit tightly around her waste and chest, it was strapless and encrusted with crystal designs all around. The skirt was fanned out just below her belly button, and fell to the floor. It was a silky material and it had crystal designs all around the him and feeling down the skirt also. The dress had a long train that would be pulled up after the ceremony. The dress was stunning.
She had her hair done in an elegant twist and she wore a tiara on her head. She had decided not to wear a veil, she didn’t want to go to over the top. Her bouquet consisted of the purple lilies and white roses, and each of her bridesmaids held similar bouquets.
The bridesmaids dresses were more modern than Narnian. She didn’t want to put them in purple dresses, she thought that would be a little too much purple, so she settled for a simple black dress. The dress had a halter like top with about one inch straps. The skirt fell to about mid-calf. It was a sheer material over a satin shell. It had a thick ribbon just under the bust and two thin ones around the bottom. It was a very flirty dress and looked great on all the girls.
Since the ceremony was on the back, Isabel was letting the girls go barefoot for that portion. Isabel herself was going to wear a pair of sequined sandals. The girls had cute black high heels to wear for the reception, with the exception of Liz who was going to go with black sequined sandals similar to Isabel’s white ones.
There was a knock on the door and Rigby stuck his head in.
“It is time ladies, if you are ready I would be happy to escort you.”
“We’re ready, thank you.” The girls began to file out, each taking one last look into the mirror before they left.
They reached the outside of the castle and they could hear music playing for the guests as they waited. The chairs were all filled. They had made many friends here in Narnia through their dealings with the royalty.
As they made their approach Isabel could see Max and the rest of the groomsmen lined up behind the crowd, waiting to escort their ladies down the aisle.
The music stopped and started again with the wedding march, Maria must have taught them how it goes. All heads turned toward the back as Serena and Peter were the first to make their way down thea isle, followed by Edmund and Serena. Next Michael and Maria followed by Max and Liz.
Finally Isabel turned towards the front of the beach and immediately locked eyes with Kyle. He was looking at her with all the love she knew he felt for her. She began her walk up the aisle with a smile on her face, she was probably walking too fast, but she didn’t care, she was ready to join her love. She reached the front and they linked arms and turned towards the efficient.
The ceremony went by in a blur for Isabel. Liz and Maria both cried and clutched each others arms for support. It was beautiful and Isabel had to hold back tears of her own. When the ceremony ended and they were announced as husband and wife the crowd erupted into applause.
They ran down the isle and towards the reception hall.
The reception was beautiful. The food was wonderful, and all their friends made touching toasts in their honor. The band played well.
As a gift Maria had taught them the melody to some of Isabel’s favorite songs, which Maria sang for her. That did make Isabel cry as she happily danced with Kyle. The night was like a dream come true, until the end that is.
The back doors burst open and a Isabel recognized the professor from the manor where they had found the wardrobe. He looked ragged, tired and out of breath. Max immediately rushed to his side, followed by everyone else.
“They found the wardrobe!”
“Who? Who found the wardrobe?” Asked Max. Isabel had a sinking feeling she already knew the answer.
“Your enemies!”
Just then both Serena and Liz jerked their heads up, fear immediately clouding their eyes.
“They are here, I can feel them.” Said Liz as she began to sway a little on her feet, Max caught her easily and steadied her in his arms as they all gazed in the direction to the entrance of this strange land.
Chapter 7
The first month of living in Narnia had flown by for all of the Roswell group. They met a lot of different personalities, those who ranked high in their society and those who didn’t. There was a lot of interest in the other humans who had come to live in their land, especially since they had special powers. There were was a minority who feared them, but mostly everyone accepted them because their kings and queens trusted them.
The girls found that they had started to add a lot more of the traditional Narnian clothes to their wardrobe. They enjoyed the beautiful gowns that they could wear to dinner and to explore in. They had started to feel a little out of place in their jeans and tank-tops.
The news of Isabel and Kyle setting a date was met with a lot of excitement and all the girls immediately started to plan. Isabel found that she could plan her dream wedding in the strange land they were living in. Kyle sat back and let her take the reigns, submitting to anything she needed done on his part.
Liz’s pregnancy was soaring a long and as she entered her seventh month she only grew larger and larger. Max was quick to help her with anything she needed and almost everyone made a fuss over her. She knew they meant well, but all the attention was beginning to wear thin on her. She was thankful for Isabel’s wedding because it took a little of the spotlight off of her.
Ava and Edmund began to spend more and more time together. Initially he just helped her to train, but that evolved into long walks and deep conversations. They both had aspects of their pasts they weren’t proud of and were surprised at the ease they were able to confide into each other. They hadn’t announced anything, but it was clear to everyone around them that they were a couple.
Serena and Peter spent an increasing amount of time together also. They had made their relationship public and their friends and family expected him to propose at any time.

“Michael, don’t you dare tackle him. Michael. MICHAEL!”
Things were going as smoothly for Serena as they were going for Isabel.
It seemed that with all the excitement of the wedding, the guys were extra riled up. They were currently playing a game of football with Peter and Edmund. They had taught them the game and they had immediately fallen in love with it.
Sports were great, but not three hours before Kyle’s wedding. The last thing they needed was for Max to be exhausted the entire night for having to heal their idiotic injuries.
Kyle had just gotten his sprained arm fixed and now Michael was preparing to tackle him again.
The guys still had to go and try their suits on one last time so they could make any last minute alterations, but for now they just weren’t listening.
Serena was wondering for the fiftieth time why she got stuck with this job. Oh yeah, she had drawn the short stick from the group.
Serena stood up from where she had been sitting on the ground. The guys were completely ignoring her and they continued their rowdy game. Serena stuck two fingers into her mouth and let out a piercing whistle.
They stopped mid-play and Michael got hit on the side of the head with the football he was supposed to catch. He let out a yelp and held the side of his face.
“What the hell Serena?” He asked, Max was already making his way over to check out his injuries.
“Listen up, and listen well. Kyle, you are getting married in three hours and we still haven’t done your final suit fitting. Now here is what you are going to do. You are all going to march yourselves inside and bathe, because right now you smell like a bunch pigs. Then you are going to meet me in the tailor’s room and we are going to make sure your suits fit nicely. Then you are all going to SIT DOWN with your hands in your laps until the ceremony begins.”
Michael started to open his mouth to complain, but Serena quickly stopped him.
“If you don’t want to listen to me, that’s fine. I’ll just go get Isabel… or worse yet, I’ll get LIZ. And if you REALLY want to fight me, I’ll go and get the both of them!” With that Serena stamped her foot into the ground and held out her hand pointing towards the castle.
The guys fell in line quickly. They didn’t want to have Isabel or Liz because either one would probably beat them into submission. They walked towards the castle mumbling under their breath about ‘mean Serena’ and ‘just trying to play a little game’ as they went.
Fifteen minutes later they were all assembled in the tailor’s room, hair still wet, but clean nonetheless. Serena handed them their suits and then sent them off to change into them, they came back twenty minutes later. Serena thought about commenting on how it took them longer to dress than bathe, but decided to bite her tongue.
She was looking over Michael’s suit when a servant walked in with a large tray of food.
“Finally!” They said, almost as a group and Serena was left, measuring tape in hand has they all swarmed around tray.
“Michael, get back here, right now.”
“What? I’m just trying to get something to eat.” He returned with two cupcakes in his hand and climbed back onto the pedestal. A moment later Serena felt something softly dropping into her hair, she looked up and was hit in the face with cup cake crumbs directly from Michael’s mouth.
She felt her face growing hot and was about to jab Michael with the pin she was holding until she felt someone begin to gently wipe at her face with a napkin.
“Michael, watch where you’re dribbling your food.” Said Peter as he gently wiped at Serena’s face.
“Sorry,” he mumbled out around a mouthful of cupcake.
Serena stood up and went and grabbed Max by the arm, hauling him over to where she stood.
“I’m done doing this the hard way. Max, take that up just a little bit at the bottom.” Max quickly complied and did as she said. She went through and fixed everyone’s suits in the same fashion and was done in just fifteen minutes. Just then there was a knock on the door and Maria entered.
“Hey Serena. We are meeting Liz and Isabel at the hot springs to relax for a few minutes if you would like to join us.” Serena could almost feel her muscles relax at the thought, but she looked over and it appeared that Kyle was going to chuck a pastry at Max’s head and she shook her head.
“I would love to, but I can’t. If I leave they will probably destroy each other.” Serena motioned towards them with her hand. Maria took a few steps into the room.
“Okay, listen up. Serena is leaving to go and enjoy some well earned relaxation time. If you can’t take care of yourselves until she gets back, ready for the wedding then you will have to deal with me, Isabel and Liz. If this evening doesn’t go perfectly for Isabel you will not like waking up without body parts I’m sure you find to be VERY important.”
The guys all gulped and subconsciously covered their groins with their hands.
“Yes Maria.” They answered and all sat in a chair with their hands in their laps.
With that Maria left with Serena and they headed towards the hot springs.
