CHAPTER 1










LIZ P.O.V

“Hey chika” Maria screams as she makes her way over to me.

“Hey Ria” I say as I pick up my sports bag with a frown.

“Please, do not tell me you are doing sport…” Maria says as we walk together to the P.E. change rooms.

“If I miss out again, then who knows what Miss Grinch will do” I say with a smile at my teachers new ‘Nick name’.

“Ha … Maria laughs and I grin.

My grin soon falls as I look over to find Miss Grinch… also known as Mrs Grina, eyeing me suspiciously with a frown.

As we get closer I see her smile triumphantly, as she sees my sports bag.

“Doing sport Miss Parker?” she asks with a proud smile.

“About time too” she adds.

“Well, now that you mention it I do have some cramps…” I start to say and she shakes her head and I see the evil in her eyes.

‘That b…witch’ … I think to myself.

“Go get changed girls” she says and I hear Maria giggle behind me.

“Sorry, Miss I wont be doing sport today” she says with a small pout.

… But we all see that hidden smile.

“Again Miss Deluca… that’s what … 9 times in a row?” Miss Grinch … Grina asks.

…it looks like she is about to have a nervous break down.

You know, I could almost feel sorry for her…

…ALMOST

“Well, it’s just my leg …it’s still in pain you know from the accident” Maria states as she looks to Miss and smiles sweetly.

“Ohh yes, the accident in which you were attacked by a group of savage dogs” Miss says … and I must admit.

Even I wouldn’t believe that.

“Yes, you know they took a chuck out of this thigh” Ria states as she still plays along.

“I’d actually like to see that thigh …you know just to make sure it’s alright” Miss says with a sly grin.

I know exactly what she’s doing.

…she does this all the time.

“Well, I would never show a teacher my thigh” Maria says in an accusing tone and I smile as I remove my sleeveless top and search my sports bag for my P.E. top.

“Alright Miss Daluca, this is the last time you will be not participating though” Miss says as she stomps away and we break out into a fit of laughs.

“So, you gonna do sport next time?” I ask with a raised eyebrow.

“Nope” she says and I grin as I pull on my tights.

You see, if I gotta do sport I gotta look good.

…There aint no way, I’m gonna do sport in a pair of baggy navy blue pair of ‘ugly’ pants.

…No

Aint gonna happen here.

“Hey Lizo” Stacy says as she makes her way over to us.

Stacy and I used to be friends ….key word.

….Used to.

Now she is too ‘popular’ for us.

And …continuously calls me Lizo…Aahh.

“Hey Malibu Stacy” I say …

Two can play that game…

“Why do you insist on calling me that?” she asks as if she doesn’t like it.

“I dunno, why do you insist on calling me that?” I ask.

“I dunno” she says as she looks around and I try to maintain my laughter.

I don’t get the girl…

She starts a conversation and never continues … hmmm

“Look, I came over here coz I wanted to know if you guys have heard the news?” she asks.

“No, we don’t” Maria says as she rolls her eyes.

“Do we need to know?” I ask.

…Ok, so maybe I want to know… but I don’t need her to know that.

“Well, Miss Grina … A.K.A Grinch … she’s leaving” she says as she looks at me and I have …

The biggest smile on my face…

“She’s leaving?” …

“Yeah, I found out today when I over heard them talking” she says.

“We all know how that happened” I say as I look up at her and send her sly grin.

“Ohh what ever do you mean?” Maria asks in a playful voice.

“You don’t know?” I ask in a sly voice.

I see Stacy looking at me in shock.

“Stacy her has been having a little bit of help in Maths” I say and I see Stacy stomp off angrily.

“Funny….everyone always stomps away from me” I say with a fake pout.

“Hahaha” Maria says as she laughs.

“I just wounder who is going to get us for P.E.”Maria says as she looks at me.

“Whoever they are, their in for a hell of a ride” I say with a evil laugh.

LIZ P.O.V

So today’s the day.

…What day…???

The day that we find out who we are going to be sending to a mad house.

I really do feel sorry for them.

Their only trying to do their jobs.

So if you’re wondering what’s been going on, then…

Malibu Stacy was right …

We are going to have a new sports teacher and Miss Grinch is gone ….

History…

Shame … I didn’t get to say bye.

GOOD…!!!

So today we are waiting to meet our new ports teacher.

RING-RING RING-RING

I hear the bell ring, signalling that it is period 3.

Ohhhh great … P.E.

Thank god we have a theory lesson today.

“Hey bub” Ria says as she makes her way over to me.

“Hey”

“So, I see you a bit anxious” she says with a smile and I shrug.

“I just wanna see who it is, that I will be sending to a mental asylum” I say with a proud smile.

I look over my shoulder and my eyes collide with the hottest, hottie I have ever laid eyes on.

“Hellooo” I say as I keep looking and biting my lower lip.

I smile at him and he winks back.

“I think someone heard what you said” Maria says and I smile as I look up to find him gone.

“Yeah” I say as I turn away, disappointed.

I wish Ohh how I wish I could see that handsom face again.

I turn the corner and step into the class room…

And our eyes collide … again.

LIZ P.O.V

I turn the corner and step into the class room…

And our eyes collide … again.

“It’s him” I sigh…

“Who?” Maria asks from behind me and I turn around to see her confused eyes staring back at me not understanding.

“No one”

“You mean …” she starts as she looks at the guy from head to toe and then back at me with a smile.

“Mr Hottie from the hall way” she says as she squeals and I just walk to my desk and sit down.

I see his eyes follow me and I turn around and sit down at my desk, not paying any attention to the rambling Maria.

“Why don’t you go and ask him out?” she asks as if it’s the most obvious thing in the whole world.

“Umm, for the same reason you wont go and ask Michael Garuin out” I say as I smile at her sweetly and I see the shyness flash in her eyes.

“Well, if I ask Michael out will you ask the hottie out?” she asks and I look at her shocked.

“Why?”

“Coz, I need motivation” she replies and I nod.

“Sure, I’ll ask him if you ask Michael” I say, knowing that she would never ask Michael Garuin, captain of the football team out on a date.

“Ok”
She gets up from her seat and walks over to Michael who is currently sitting at the back of the room, talking to his friends.

“Hey” she says shyly as she looks him up and down, licking her lips seductively.

“Hey Daluca” he says as he looks at her strangely.

“Listen I was wondering… what you are doing Saturday?” she asks and I see him look at her in shock.

… She just asked him out.

OMG…

“Nothing why?” he asks, almost begging her to ask him out.

“Well I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go out, you know maybe see a movie or something?” she says and he smiles up at her.

“Sure why not” he says and I swear… I just stopped breathing.

“So, I’ll pick you up at 8” he says as he looks at her with unsure eyes.

“8 is fine” she says as she sends him one last smile before turning and making her way back over to me with a bright smile on her face.

“So, your turn now” she says and I turn to the front to see Mr Hottie sitting in the teachers seat.

…How cute is he.

“I bet his a bad boy” Ria says as she looks at him and smiles.

“He is so bad sitting there in the teacher’s seat” she says and I look over at her like she has lost her mind.

“Are you feeling alright?” I ask and she grins.

“Better than alright” she replies.

“So are you going to ask him out?” she asks but I don’t get time to finish that question because the room has filled up with students, and I wait for the teacher to come.

“Good afternoon class, I’m Mr Evan your new P.E. teacher, but you can call me Mr E” Mr Hottie says and my eyes pop out of my head.

CHAPTER 4













LIZ P.O.V

“Good afternoon class, I’m Mr Evan your new P.E. teacher, but you can call me Mr E” Mr Hottie says and my eyes pop out of my head.

Teacher…???

“He did not just say teacher?” Maria asks in shock and I look over to her to see the biggest smile on her face.

“What’s so funny?”

“You gotta ask him out” she says as she burst into a fit of laughs.

“Of course I’m not, he’s our teacher” I whisper to her disappointed.

“Shame, he is pretty cute” I say as I look at him to find him getting to know the class.

He has the cutest smile on and I think it is such a turn on.

Hmmm…funny.

For a virgin I am kinda rude…???

Hmmm… I wounder where I get it from…

“My names Maria Daluca, and I’m 17 turning 18… and Liz is my best friend…” I turn to Maria as she introduces herself to Mr Evans.

Oh no…

“She’s also turning 18 soon and her phone number is…”

“Maria” I shout as she continues and I send her a death glare.

“Well, today is one of the absolute best days of my life” she says and I turn to see Mr E’s face, confused and amused.

“Why is that?” he asks as he sends me a small smile.

“Well, in got a date with Michael Garuin” she squeals out and I can’t help but say aloud.

“Ohh, he’s a lucky man” in a sarcastic tone and Maria looks at me with a fake pout.

I turn to look at Michael who is smiling goofily at her.

“Has the whole world has gone made?” I mumble.

“What about you, what can you tell us about your self?” Mr E asks as she looks at me with the sexiest smile.

“Ohhhh, you mean something that you don’t already know” I say as I look over at Maria who just smiles.

“Yes” he chuckles and I continue.

“Well, my names Liz and I’m turning 18” I say and he looks at me expectantly.

“Anything else?” he asks and I shake my head with a smile smile.

“No” I mumble and he smiles as he walks across the room until he stands in front of me.

“What about the fact that you plan on sending me to a mental asylum” he whispers so only Maria and I can hear him.

“That too” I say as I smile up at him sweetly.

But, I know he can see the spark of evil in my eye.
“Ok, so whose next” he says as he continues getting to know everybody.

I turn to Maria who is already facing me with a goofy grin.

“He likes you”

“He’s my teacher”

“Who cares?”

“Maria, he’s job is to teacher me … and mine is to make him go crazy” I say as I think about it.

CHAPTER 5













LIZ P.O.V

“So, last lesson you got to learn a lot about us bro, so what can you tell us about you?” Kyle Valenti asks as he rocks back on his chair coolly.

This is our second lesson in P.E. With Mr Evans and so far it’s been good.

I mean, we got to do some fun stuff.

And plus the fact that I have been looking at his handsom ass for the last 20 minuets is an added extra.

If you are wondering, yes.

This is once again another theory lesson…and I’m glad.

“Well, my first names Max and I have a sister and whose about your age and I’m into sports” he says as he sits on the edge of the table and faces us.

How I would love to be on that table with him right now….

Max…that suits him.

I like it.

“So, how old are you?”

“None of your business” he says as he looks off at the class and smiles.

“Common sir… nothing to be worried of, you still look young” Michael adds from the corner.

“And delicious” I mutter under my breath to Maria who is sitting next to me and giggles.

I look up to see Mr Evans smiling at me…

Ohh no…

Please tell me he did not hear that.

…Ohh great, he did.

“I’m 24” he states and I hear a whisper in the back of the class.

“What are you doing here then?” Vicky asks from the front of the class.

She is in the ‘popular’ group, with Malibu Stacy.

“Well, I like teaching…plus it’s only P.E. That’s easy” he says and I look at him.

“Well, I for one hate P.E.” I say aloud and a majority of the class cheers.

“Me too”…

“Yeah”…

“P.E. sucks”…

“Drugs and rock ‘n’ roll” …

I turn to Maria who is currently out of her seat and just yelled that last one out.

“I mean... Books and school” she shouts and looks around before sitting down and sliding down in her seat.

“Why don’t you explain to us why you hate P.E.?” Max says as he turns to me, still grinning from what happened with Maria.

“Well, to be honest I think it’s a waste of time” I say as I look back at him with a confident glare.

“Well, this term we’re going to be doing sex ed…” he starts to say when he is interrupted by cheering and screaming.

“WoooHoooo”….

“Yeah”…

“Ohhhh Yes”…

“Sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll” …

“Maria” we all shout and she sits down in her seat again.

“Like I was saying sex Ed…and some people would find that very interesting” he says looking around the class.

“Soo, ummm turn to chapter 2 in your work books and do pages 25, 26 and 28” he adds as he closes his book and we get started on the work.

When we are all finish we sit and wait for the bell, while talking loudly and throwing paper.

…just like the zoo.

“Moooooooooooooo”….

With added sound effects.

“So sir?” Maria asks.

“Yes Deluca?”…

“Are you single?” she asks and I hear whistling and the background and then a loud thump.

I turn to see Kyle on the floor rubbing his arm and Michael shaking his wrist.

“She’s already taken” he threatens and I see the smile on Maria’s face.

“Not like it’s any of your business, but yes I’m engaged” he says …

Is it possible for your heart to break over something you never had…???

Guess what today is…???

Sports day…

Yep, that means that in period 2 I have ‘SPORT’….

Ohh no, it’s not finished there…

Could life get any worse…???

“Hey chika” Ria says as she makes her way over to me.

“What’s wrong?” she asks with a small pout.

“Common, I know when something’s wrong” she says and I smile.

“Its just sport, you know” I state and she smiles.

“Ohhhh so it would have nothing to do with the fact that your upset to hear that Mr Hottie has a fiancé?” she asks and I slap her shoulder.

“What ever” she sighs and then turns to me excitedly.

“Guess what?”

“Maria, just tell me” I say as I turn to her with a smile.

She has been like this all week.

Ever since Michael Garuin asked her out on a second date.

“Well, Isabel’s back” she squeaks.

You see Isabel moved here from California two years ago, and we have been best friends ever since.

She went on a ski trip about a month ago and I haven’t heard from her in about 2 weeks.

“I got back yesterday” I hear a voice say behind me and turn with a bright smile and jump into her arms.

“Izzy” I squeal.

“I missed you so much, how could you leave me here with Maria all alone, you monster” I say joking around with her.

“Hey, I heard that I’m right here you know” Maria says with a small pout and we pull her into the hug with us.

“You know we love you” Izzy says and I smile.

“So are you guys on your way to sport?” Izzy asks and I sigh.

“Yeah”

“What’s with the sad face?” Izzy asks and Maria smiles.

“Well, Liz had a massive crush on our new teacher and turns out his engaged” She blurts out before I have a chance to even open my mouth.

“Thankyou” I say as I turn to face her.

“No, I don’t have a crush on him… it’s just you know how I get when we have sport” I say as we turn the corner and walk into the girls locker room.

LIZ P.O.V

“Isabel?” came his shock voice from behind us.

“Max” Izzy screamed as she through herself into Mr Evans’s arms.

“What are you doing back?” he asks shocked.

“Mum got home sick” she says and I stand freezed to the side.

I look over to Maria to see her with the same stunned expression.

“Hello, hello” Maria says as she shakes out of her daze.

“Would some one like to explain to us why our best friend is in the arms of our new P.E. teacher” Maria adds.

“Ohhhh, Max is my brother” Isabel says with a smile as she looks at me in the eye and winks.

“WHAT?” Maria squeaks and I cover my ears.

“Well, welcome” she says as she runs up to Max and hugs him.

I see his confused expression and giggle.

“Some ones getting laid” Isabel says in a confused voice.

“Hey” Max says as he sends her a brotherly glare.

“What… I am old now max….and this is my school” she screams in her defence.

“Yeah well, he can give you a detention” I add with a smirk.

“That’s right, thankyou Liz” Max says sending me a smile.

“Ohh I bet Liz would just love a detention” Maria says with a chuckle and Isabel punches her in the shoulder as I kick her in the leg.

I see Max’s amused expression and curse.

“Listen, why don’t you guys go get dress we have a lot of stuff to get thought today” he adds and smiles.

Isabel and Maria grunt as the walk into the locker room to go get ready.

Isabel, because Max is her brother and cant get out of it and Maria because she forgot her note at home.

I walk up to max and I see him raise an eye in question.

“Something wrong Liz?” he asks and I nod.

“I hurt my ankle, I guess I won’t be doing sport” I say with a small pout.

“Nice try Parker” he says as he pats my shoulder and looks down at me.

“But I’ll believe it when I see it” he says and I frown at him.

He chuckles before shoving me towards the doors of the locker room.

“Go get changed Parker, we have a lot of work to do” he says before turning and walking away.

Ohhhh … If he wasn’t engaged … I would… I would …

LIZ P.O.V

“Liz, come on, slow down,” Maria yells as I continue to run the rest of the court.

We have been running for the last half an hour.

We have to run 12 laps and if you think that is easy, you’re welcome to try.

We tried to make Max bring them down but he says it’s not his fault that it’s in the curriculum.

“Come on Maria, are you a woman or a mouse?” I shout over my shoulder, still jogging.

“I’m a wuss,” she shouts as she stops, but Isabel and I continue to run the rest of the way.

I smile as I watch Maria tell Max off and take a seat down in the stands.

“So, you think my brother’s hot,” Isabel says in an amused tone.

“I’m not even going to answer that,” I say as I roll my eyes.

“Come on, we’re friends … we tell if we have a crush,” she smiles goofily. “So do you have a crush on him?” she asks and I give up.

“Maybe,” I say and I look at her to find her studying me.

“There’s no need to worry,” she states.

I look at her confused. “What do you mean?”

“He’s engaged but she’s The Wicked Witch incarnated … I don’t think he will go through with it. He already has cold feet and he just thinks that he won’t be able to find someone else,” she states as she slows down.

I look at her confused.

Why???

Since when does your friend give you advice on how to get with her brother?

NEVER!

“Why are you telling me this?” I ask, still not understanding the meaning of this conversation.

She looks at me with a wicked smile and says.

“’Cause, you can’t date your teacher …but you can date your best friend’s brother.”

CHAPTER 9













LIZ P.O.V

We get off the court and hear the bell signalling that it is period 4… Ohh, great.

Another sports lesson.

I wonder what we are going to have to do next --.

OMG…

Hubba, hubba….

If you’re wondering why I am currently drooling, it would have to do with the fact that my teacher Mr. Evans, my best friend’s brother Max, … is currently sweating as he runs the courts with the guys.

“Ohhhh, man,” I moan as I continue to stare.

“Liz, please,” I hear Isabel groan and turn to see her disgusted face. “News flash, that’s my brother,” she says as she looks at me with a grossed-out face.

“He’s sooo … hubba, hubba,” I say as I continue to look, not bothering to cover my emotions.

“You just admitted it,” Maria says in triumph.

“Admitted what?” Izzy asked, confused.

“That she likes him,” she says rolling her eyes like it is so obvious to the rest of us.

“She actually didn’t say it,” Izzy says and I ignore the rest of the conversation as I sit and look at Max as he continues to run the court.

He is wearing a white singlet top which is soaked and see-though, showing off his masculine arms and sexy abbs.

He’s wearing black shorts that show off all the right places, especially his ….

“Liz?”

“Liz, are you listening to me?”

“Liz?” I hear Maria’s annoying voice break through my thoughts and turn to her with an annoyed face.

“What?”

“We’re going back to the locker rooms to hide out, so we don’t have to do the rest. You wanna come with?” she asks and I nod as I get up.

I look once more to Max, only to have our eyes to make contact and for him to wink at me.

Ohh, God …

“Hey Parker,” I hear a voice say from behind me and turn to find none other than Sean McDonal standing in front of me with a sly grin.

“Hey,” I try to pass him, but he stops me with a hand on the arm.

“How have you been?” he asks and I look past him to see Maria and Isabel looking on in curiosity.

You see, Sean and I used to date, but that was like one and a half years ago.

And you would think that the poor guy would get over it, but no.

“I’ve been good,” I say as I walk past him, but once again he grabs my arm, this time more roughly than before.

“You wanna go out sometime?” he asks and I look at him in shock.

“Listen Sean, it’s been a year and a half! I don’t want to, this was the reason I broke up with you in the first place,” I say as I try the yank my arm free.

“What was?” he asks as he squeezes more and speaks more forcefully.

“Your possessiveness,” I say as I try to pull away.

“What possessiveness?”

“This one,” I yell as I raise my knee and hit him directly in the groin.

“You bitch!” he yells in a squeaky voice and I yank my arm out of his grasp and look down to find it bruised.

I look over him to see Max standing watching the whole scene.

I see the expression on his face … but it’s unreadable.

I look to find Sean recovering and look over to see Maria and Isabel’s shocked expressions.

I turn away and run with Maria and Isabel hot on my heels to the locker room.

LIZ P.O.V

“Where is she?” I hear him ask as he steps into the locker room.

“She’s around there,” Isabel tells her brother.

“We’ll leave,” Maria adds as they disappear through the door, leaving Max and I alone.

“Hey,” he comes and sits down next to me. “I saw what happened,” he adds. I nod.

“Did you want to talk about it?” he asks, not really finding the words.

I shake my head and sigh.

“Ok, then do you wanna say anything?” he asks with a small smile, and I chuckle.

“I’m ok,” I say as I look at him in the eyes.

“You are?” he asks still unsure.

“Yes.”

“I’m not just asking ‘cause I’m your teacher,” he says and I look up at him confused.

“You’re not?”

“No,” he says, and I continue to stare up at him. “I’m asking as a friend,” he adds.

Oh, great … friends.

Here I was getting my hopes high … thinking, ‘hmmm …

‘Maybe he wants to fool around …’

Oh, well …

“I’m ok Max – Mr. Evans,” I say confusing his name.

“You can call me Max … just not in front of the other kids,” he says and I look him in the eyes.

Kids … He thinks I’m a kid …

“Sure,” I say as I get up off of the floor and smile at him.

The smile is fake.

“So I’m gonna get out there, I’ll, umm, have a talk to Sean,” he says as he sends me one last smile and walks out of the girl’s locker room.

How can I hate him … but like him at the same time?
