281. Once again, it is time for my annual, "I read a fic 20 years ago and can't find it now" query!

It's a time travel fic, with Liz and Max's son coming back from the future. I do not recall why, only that he is around their age at the time. I think he may have been posing as Liz's cousin to explain his appearance. His arrival was the same as FM only instead of FM it was him.

283. There was a fic, once upon a time, where Lis was drifting between two timelines. Now that I think about it, it was similar to that movie 'Sliding Doors.' I recall her starting to feel as though she was going crazy. In one scene, she knows Alex died but in the next second, he comes walking in and thinks SHE is crazy because he is very much alive.
Does this sound familiar?

Max is from antar and is the heir to the throne but i dont remember if they knew that or if he hid that from them.
eventually max and liz fall in love and get married and have kids
it was completed and there is a sequel.
