Chapter 11
Roswell Neighborhood
“Here’s fine.” Liz said opening her passenger side door forcing the man to pull over.
“Are you sure? I can take you to the police or the hospital.” The man suggested. Liz saw two soldiers crossing the street and she tried to leave as quickly as possible.
“No thank you. Thank you so much.” Liz said turning the corner running down the street and reaching the front entrance of the Crashdown. When she shook the door, she remembered it had been closed because of the house-to-house searches. Suddenly bright lights were coming in her direction, so she quickly hid on the side of the restaurant and watch the car pass by, but the realized it was Max’s Chevelle. “Max” She said to herself and then ran in the middle of the road. “Max!” She cried out waving her hands. She watched how the Chevelle came to a screeching halt and Max jumped out of the drivers seat as everyone else in the car turned to look back. At first Max looked stunned, but then Liz could make out a smile of relief spread across his face before he screamed her name.
“Liz!” He called out running to her as she ran to him still with her bad limp. When they collided in each other’s arms Max lifted Liz, who wrapped her legs around him and desperately joined her lips with his as tears streamed down both their faces. Liz’s hands ran through Max’s hair and then cupped his face to intensify their kiss. Maria and Isabel were crying tears of joy as they watched the two reunite, but Michael’s attention was brought to another car that was approaching slowly. Michael got out of the car to get a closer look and then he immediately remembered seeing the car at the Old Soap Factory and it wasn’t until he could make out the blonde curly hair passenger that triggered all his sensors that Max and Liz were in danger.
“Max!” Michael yelled, startling the four of them as he pointed franticly to the car that started to speed up. Max put Liz down and then looked back at Michael.
“Go!” Max yelled to Michael, and without further explanation, Michael hopped into the drivers seat and took off while Max ran off in the alley near by the Crashdown. “Come on, Liz.” Max encouraged trying to get her to run faster.
“I can’t. My knee.” Liz whimpered as she was being pulled by Max to keep up, they came up to a corner of the building the were running along side of and Max looked of the corner and then back to Liz who was crying in pain.
“Liz. Liz” Max called out for her to calm down as he cupped her face and brushed back the wild strands of hair back into place. “I promise you, the second we lose them, I’ll heal your knee. But right now I need you to run, Liz.” Max pleaded. Liz stopped crying and wiped her tears away from her face and then nodded to Max. Max held on tight to Liz’s hand and then leaned up against the wall when he saw the car passing by, he took that as a signal and kept running straight. “Liz we have to get to Kyle’s house so I can borrow his car.”
“Where are we going to go? Tess knows all our hide outs.” Liz questioned running behind Max as they headed towards the Valenti’s.
“She doesn’t know about the warehouse we used when we were spying on her.” Max said.
Buckely Point
“What are we going to do Michael?” Isabel asked pacing back and forth.
“We’re going to wait.” Michael suggested calmly as he leaned on the hood of the car.
“Wait?” Maria repeated in disbelief and aggravation. “Just wait? That’s your big plan, Michael? My best friend is out there…your best friend…and you just want us to sit her and wait?” Maria exclaimed.
“Maria, I know they’re both out there and there’s nothing I can do right now but wait until Max gets in touch with us.” Michael snapped back.
“Get in touch with you? With what? Alien pigeons?” Maria asked sarcastically.
“It’s not funny.” Michael replied.
“Do you see me laughing?” Maria answered.
“Okay, guys stop it.” Isabel demanded, irritated by all the back and forth bantering they were doing. “Maria, Michael’s right. No matter what, Max or Liz always managed to get in touch with us. Have faith in them.” Isabel pleaded.
“It’s all I have left.” Maria answered as she began to cry uncontrollably. Michael was taken back by her reaction and moved to comfort her in his arms.
“I’ll get them back, Maria. I promise.” Michael swore as he kissed her forehead and rocked Maria.
Valenti’s Garage
“There’s his car.” Max said pointing to the red Corvet that was parked beside Valenti’s trooper. Valenti had been driving around in his pick-up in order to not attract attention to the military lookouts if they spotted his trooper out side Jesse’s law office.
“Max, Tess is going to recognize this car.” Liz warned.
“She’ll recognize the trooper car even quicker.” Max answered.
“Not if you change it.” Liz suggested. Max nodded in agreement and placed his hand over the hood of the car making it change into a black trooper car without all the Sheriff decals and then touched the police lights and melted it down in a metallic form like he did with the gun in his car back in Utah.
“Let’s go.” Max said climbing in as Liz did the same.

Chapter 12
First of all, I would like to say welcome to MilesToGo99 and BerhlyLiz. Thank you for reading. I have another fic I'm plotting to write so heads up for that. 
Oh, and hi to Jason's Lover, Angel Eyes, Ice Queen, Roswellluver and anyone else I missed.
Chapter 12
Outside the Warehouse
“You go on up. I’m gonna call Michael and let him know where we are.” Max said pointing to a pay phone that was across the street, Liz nodded and entered the warehouse.
Frasier Woods
“What is that?” Michael asked swearing he heard a buzzing noise. Maria and Isabel listened silently to see if they heard anything. But then Maria felt a tickle n her side and it turned out to be her cell phone on vibration.
“Hello?” Maria answered.
‘Maria, it’s me Max.’
“Max! How’s Liz?” Maria asked relieved to hear the sound of Max’s voice.
‘She’s fine.’
“What’s he saying? What’s going on?” Michael baggered curiously over Maria’s shoulder.
“They’re okay.” Maria answered handing Michael the phone.
“Max, what’s going on? Where are you” Michael repeated.
‘We’re at the warehouse we used to spy on Tess.’
“We’ll be right there.” Michael replied hanging up the phone and then hopping over the driver’s door into the driver’s seat starting up the engine as he waited for Maria and Isabel to climb in before taking off.
Khivar and Tess’s Car
“You got t’ know another hideout?” Khivar asked frustrated as they were driving around.
“That’s it. That’s all the places I know.” Tess said aggravated, resting her elbow on the rolled down window and looked out noticing Max’s Chevelle passing by on the next block across from them. “There they are!” She yelled pointing in their direction. Khivar turned the wheel and began to tail them.
Inside the Warehouse
“Did you get in touch with them?” Liz asked.
“Their coming.” Max answered, noticing Liz sitting on an old couch and rubbing her painfully swollen knee. “Let me…” Max said sitting next to her and picking up both her legs and laying them across his. Liz scooted closer and touched his face before leaning in and resting her forehead with his as he pulled up her pant leg and winced when he saw he puffy purple knee and then placed his hand over it and healed it.
“Thank you.” Liz whispered as Max kissed her forehead.
“I thought I lost you.” Max confesses in a shaky voice as e cupped her cheek to move her face so he could kiss her and then leaned forward so Liz could lie back. He adjusted himself on top of her and smoothed the
hair off her face and just admired her. Kissing her face as he traced it with his fingers. "I love you so much."
"I love you too." Liz whimpered before kissing him as deeply as she was longing to, from the moment she saw him running to her.

“Well at least they’re okay.” Maria said with crossed arms interrupting Max and Liz, seeing Max shoot his head up from the sound of her voice.
“We were just uh…” Max explained as got off Liz.
“Maxwell, we all know what you were doing.” Michael commented in his normal tone. “What happened to Khivar and Tess?”
“We lost them.” Max answered.
Outside the Warehouse
“Somethin’ tells me dat my plan t’ kill dem would be more easier den yours.” Khivar whispered as the watched the others from a whole in the wall.
“I already told you what will happen if you do?” Tess answered.
“I don’t care. I want my seal.” Khivar muttered between his teeth clenching on to her arm tightly.
“And I’ll get it for you, but you have to trust me.” Tess said yanking her arm away from his grasp. “Just follow me.”
“What are you goin’ t’ do?” Khivar asked.
“I’m going to mind warp them all into thinking I’m one of them so I can find out how to get the seal and then I’ll get the girls to leave Michael and Max alone so you can take care of them.” Tess whispers.
“And if it don’t work?” Khivar asked.
“Then you can kill them.” Tess answered with a sly smirk getting one in return from Khivar.

Chapter 13
Chapter 13
Outside the Warehouse
“Who you goin’ t’ pretend t’ be?” Khivar asked looking over her shoulder.
“Max is too wrapped up with Liz, he’ll never let her out of his sights.” Tess cursed as she looked on to Isabel.
“Vilandra.” Khivar suggested. “No, I don’t have control over her anymore.”
“That leaves Maria.” Tess whispers with a smile and then closes her eyes and begins to mind warp the group while Khivar crept in and snatched Maria away in order for Tess to take her place.
Inside the Warehouse
“That’s how we knew you didn’t leave.” Max finished off his summary of the nights’ events as Tess undetectably posed as Maria.
“Yeah, it’s a good thing that you didn’t tell Tess about how you switched the seals.” Tess coughed out.
“I don’t think I can go through that again.” Michael commented walking over to Tess, who he saw as Maria, and wrapped his arms around her, feeling her tense up at his touch. “You okay?”
“What? Yeah, fine. Just a little emotional.” Tess answered.
“Maria, it’s okay. When Max first healed me I felt...different.” Liz said walking over to Maria and hugging her but got a flash of Max blasting her, completely shocking her as she slowly backed away from Maria.
“You know, you’re right. It’s going to take time to get use to. I’m pretty sure it’s nothing compared to what Michael felt when Max took back the seal from him.” Tess slowly slipped the subject in.
“Now that felt like hell, what’s bad enough I got to hear it every time from Maria, about how I abandoned her, every time she looks at the seal scar.” Michael answered giving Max a blaming look.
“Michael, I said I was sorry. I didn’t know using my powers would leave a scar. I tried to heal it.” Max apologized. Hearing Max’s explanation, Tess started to edge her way towards the door.
“Maria, where’re you going?” Michael asked feeling Maria slide away from underneath his arm.
“Bathroom.” Tess answered quickly.
“Do you want me to come with you?” Liz asked standing up.
“No, it’s okay. You go ahead and stay with Max, Isabel can come with me.” Tess said looking at Isabel.
“Fine.” Isabel said rolling her eyes and followed Tess outside the warehouse. “This better be quick. I get the chills just being her.” Isabel confessed rubbing her arms, remembering Alex. Tess led Isabel further away from the warehouse slowly allowing Isabel to walk ahead of her before releasing her mind warp on Isabel to use it on Khivar.
‘I’m coming with Isabel. You have to use your powers over the seal in order too get it.’ Khivar saw an image of Tess tell him before it disappeared.
“Maria, you don’t have to pick an exact spot…” Isabel began to banter irritated but when she turned around she saw Tess. “Tess.” Isabel called out surprised.
“Sorry, it has to be like this. I really thought we’d be friends.” Tess answered.
“I’m sorry. I’m not friends’ with murderers.” Isabel muttered in hatred and disgust.
“Isabel, Alex was an accident…” Tess began to explain but then Isabel raised her hand up and blasted Tess back.
“Don’t you ever say that Alex’s death was an accident!” Isabel commanded with tears gathering in her eyes. “We should have killed you when you had the chance.” Isabel said lowering her head and then paused for a moment as Tess stood up. “I should have killed you.” Isabel said in a mystified voice and lifted her head, revealing her blackened eyes. She raised her hand and blasted Tess back into a tree to a broken branched that staked through her stomach and watched as the life escaped from Tess’s body. “Oh, my God. What have I done?” Isabel asked snapping out of her dark trans and feel to her knees and cried.
“Actually. Darlin’ you did me a favor.” Khivar said coming out from the shadows, Isabel looked up at him with her eyes changed to their original state and fell back trying to escape, but Khivar used his power to slam her against a tree rendering her unconscious and then carried her back to where he had Maria gagged and bonded with melted iron he made with his powers and bonded Isabel as well. “And know t’ get what I deserve.”

Chapter 14
Inside the Warehouse
“What’s taking them so long?” Michael asked concerned.
“I’m afraid they’re a bit tied up right now.” Khivar announced standing by the doorway and then using his powers to knock both Michael and Max off their feet.
“No!” Liz screamed using her powers on Khivar knocking him over, Khivar quickly regain his balance and used his powers to slam Liz against the wall. He then made his way to Max and waved his hand over Max, revealing the Royal seal, but just as he was about to place his hand over the seal Michael speared Khivar from behind and off of Max. Michael wrapped his hand s around Khivar’s neck and then tightened his grip with fear and hate in his eyes, but his grip was loosened when he saw Khivar laughing. Liz quietly made her way to Max and shook him lightly.
“I’m going to help Isabel and Maria.” Liz whispered.
“Be careful.” Max whispered back, before pulling Liz down for a short kiss and then watching her escape unseen.
Outside the Warehouse
“Isabel! Maria!” Liz called out, and then heard muffled sounds and a loud clacking. When she followed the noise, she found Maria and Isabel gagged back to back and Maria banging on a ‘NO TRESPASSING’ sign that was on the ground with her boot heel. “Maria!” Liz yelled running to them and removed the gags. “Maria, I’m so sorry. I felt something was weird but I couldn’t warn anyone.”
“Tess was mind warping you guys.” Maria answered with an understanding voice.
Liz hugged Maria but then saw the melted metal. “I can’t…I don’t have that kind of power.” Liz cried.
“Liz, listen to me. Yes you can. Just concentrate.” Isabel demanded. Liz nodded and placed her hand over the metal and released a small blast that broke the rusted metal, releasing Isabel and Maria.
“You did it.” Maria celebrated as she hugged Liz jumping up and down with her.
“Where’s Khivar?” Isabel asked.
“He’s in the warehouse with Max and Michael.” Liz answered. “Where’s Tess?”
“She’s dead.” Isabel answered, not wanting to face Liz, heading back towards the warehouse as Maria and Liz trailed behind.
“We got to do something.” Maria said shaking her head in disbelief as they saw Michael and Khivar speaking.
“What can we do?” Liz asked in a defeated tone.
“I don’t know.” Isabel answered in a panic. “I can–I can maybe dream walk him, force him out of the body he’s in.” Isabel suggested. “But I’ll need both your help.”
“What can we do?” Maria asked skeptically.
“You guys have to trust me. Lower your guard down so I can put all our thoughts into Khivars head at once, which will force him to let go of who ever that guy is.” Isabel explained. Maria and Liz nodded in agreement and held Isabel’s hands and closed their eyes to concentrate.
Inside the Warehouse
“Doesn’t matter if you kill dis body. I’ll be back wit’ another.” Khivar laughed, seeing Michael release his hold on him and slowly backed away by Max. “You know I’m right.” Khivar said looking at Michael, but then Khivars’ smile changed and he began screaming in pain. “No! No!” He yelled holding his hands over his ears. “Get out off my head!” Without notice, flashes of Max and Liz, Michael and Maria, and Isabel and Alex and Jesse, flooded Khivars head causing him to scream in pain before passing out. The girls saw Khivar fall to the floor and ran inside to join stunned Max and Michael.
“What the hell happened to him?” Michael asked hugging Maria.
“He wanted to be King so bad, I let him feel what it really was like to be in our shoes.” Isabel answered.
“What’s goin’ on? Where am I?” The man asks shaking his head.
“Michael.” Max called out.
“Got it.” Michael said walking over to the guy and helped him up. “Are you okay, man? We heard some noises and when we came in here you were passed out.” Michael explained.
“No. I don’t…I’m suppose t’ be at the Roswell Art Exhibit.” The man recalled.
“Well, this use to be an art gallery, maybe you got wrong directions.” Max answered. “We’ll call you a cab.” Max offered taking Maria’s cell and calling him a cab that arrived eight minutes later.
“My head is killin’ me.” The man said as Michael helped him into a cab. “Thank you, for helping me.”
“No problem.” Michael answered and tapped the top of the cab to signal the driver to drive.
“Wow.” Isabel said. “What a night. I better get back to my husband, I know you guys might want some space.”
“Take Valenti’s car.” Max said pointing to the remodeled trooper car. “Tell him I’ll fix it later.”
"What about Tess?" Isabel asked.
"We'll take her to the pod's and burry her there." Max answered, getting a nod from Isabel before she left.

'I know right from wrong. And I know it's wrong to benefit in any way from someone else's passing. But I won't deny that Tess' death has freed me. “Khivar’s going to keep coming, isn’t he?” Maria asked interrupting Liz's thoughts as she sat on the rocks as they watched the sun coming up.
“Yep.” Michael answered bluntly. “But at least we have one more person at our side.” Michael said holding Maria, referring to her future powers since Max healed her.
“So what am I suppose to tell my parent’s? That when my boyfriend saved me he made me his wife?” Liz asked with a smile as she wrapped her arms around Max.
“I don’t know. I guess it’s something we have to think about.” Max answer holding her hand.
Maria then began to think about the day that Tess left. The day her and Michael made love for the first time. The day he let her see him.
‘There's a lot about you Maria. There's a lot about you, but I think what means the most to me is that you're open. You know I can look into your eyes and I can see you. I can see what you're thinking. I can see what you're feeling. How much I mean to you sometimes, how much I piss you off sometimes. But I can always see you.’

‘No, no you don't see me. You know when Max and Liz would kiss, and Liz would get the flashes? And when we would kiss you didn't. I know how much that hurt you.’
‘That doesn't matter to me anymore Michael.’
‘The reason you didn't get the flashes is because I didn't let you get them. I didn't let you see me. I've never let anyone see me before...because there are things inside of me that I don't want people to see. There's things inside of me that I'm not so proud of. But I've thought about it, and I want you to see me. Take my hands.’
“Is that alien marriage thing even real? I mean if it is, you’re not the only one that has to worry about breaking the news.” Maria added.
“Your mom’s going to kill me.” Michael answered.
“She sure is.” Maria said resting her head on Michael’s shoulder.
“What about Zan?” Liz asked.
“I just want Zan to live a normal life. ...away from all of this... but he never will if I'm a part of it...” Max answered lowering his face to hide his hurt expression.
“Maxwell, what are you saying?” Michael asked.
“He's human. He deserves to live a normal human life. I'm a marked man! ...Maybe if things were different…maybe in the future there will be a way. But right now...I - I have to ensure Zan's safety. And the only way to do that is to get him away from me... from us...” Max trailed off, choking up on the inside and then felt Liz cup the side of his face.
“I'm here. I'll always be here.” Liz assures him and hugs him tightly.
“Yeah, we all are.” Maria says moving over to them and hugging Liz and Max in one hug that was completed by Michael’s arms from behind Maria. The four of them sat silently, watching the sunrise to begin a new day...for all of them.

Inside the Warehouse
“What’s taking them so long?” Michael asked concerned.
“I’m afraid they’re a bit tied up right now.” Khivar announced standing by the doorway and then using his powers to knock both Michael and Max off their feet.
“No!” Liz screamed using her powers on Khivar knocking him over, Khivar quickly regain his balance and used his powers to slam Liz against the wall. He then made his way to Max and waved his hand over Max, revealing the Royal seal, but just as he was about to place his hand over the seal Michael speared Khivar from behind and off of Max. Michael wrapped his hand s around Khivar’s neck and then tightened his grip with fear and hate in his eyes, but his grip was loosened when he saw Khivar laughing. Liz quietly made her way to Max and shook him lightly.
“I’m going to help Isabel and Maria.” Liz whispered.
“Be careful.” Max whispered back, before pulling Liz down for a short kiss and then watching her escape unseen.
Outside the Warehouse
“Isabel! Maria!” Liz called out, and then heard muffled sounds and a loud clacking. When she followed the noise, she found Maria and Isabel gagged back to back and Maria banging on a ‘NO TRESPASSING’ sign that was on the ground with her boot heel. “Maria!” Liz yelled running to them and removed the gags. “Maria, I’m so sorry. I felt something was weird but I couldn’t warn anyone.”
“Tess was mind warping you guys.” Maria answered with an understanding voice.
Liz hugged Maria but then saw the melted metal. “I can’t…I don’t have that kind of power.” Liz cried.
“Liz, listen to me. Yes you can. Just concentrate.” Isabel demanded. Liz nodded and placed her hand over the metal and released a small blast that broke the rusted metal, releasing Isabel and Maria.
“You did it.” Maria celebrated as she hugged Liz jumping up and down with her.
“Where’s Khivar?” Isabel asked.
“He’s in the warehouse with Max and Michael.” Liz answered. “Where’s Tess?”
“She’s dead.” Isabel answered, not wanting to face Liz, heading back towards the warehouse as Maria and Liz trailed behind.
“We got to do something.” Maria said shaking her head in disbelief as they saw Michael and Khivar speaking.
“What can we do?” Liz asked in a defeated tone.
