A/N This fic is winding down to the end. Only one more part which will be posted on Wednesday and the Epilogue which should be posted on Friday. I'm sad to see it go, it was definetly a challenge for me to write this in the beginning. So thanks for putting up with my lack of grammatical corrections and many, many errors I'm sure there have been. Most importantly thanks for sticking with me and for leaving such great feedback! One last thing *big hello* to the new readers!
Chapter 30
“Liz what’s wrong?” Max turned when he heard her footsteps running up the stairs.
“They…they just won’t listen to me. They don’t even care about my feelings.” Liz ran into Max’s arms and he quickly wrapped them around her tiny form and held her tightly.
“I’m so sorry baby. I shouldn’t have had them come.” Max dropped a kiss on top of her head. Liz waited until her sobs subsided before speaking again.
“No Max I’m glad you did, I was avoiding them, avoiding this whole situation and you made me face it. It’s just that they don’t see how much I love you Max, how much I want and need to be with you.” She cried in his arms again.
“I know baby but you have to give them time. The only thing they know about me is that I’m a cheater, who broke your heart and now has a daughter.”
“But that’s not you Max!”
“I know not anymore Liz but if that’s all they know how can they feel comfortable having you be with me?”
“I don’t care, I am not giving you up! They can hate me forever I don’t…”
“Yes you do care Liz. You’re just upset. They love you and they know you better than that, just let them get used to the idea.” Max hoped that was the case that Jeff and Nancy just had to get used to the idea of him being back in their daughter’s life with a child.
“Just hold me Max, hold me and don’t let go.” Liz cried into his chest and he held her.
“I’ll never let you go Liz…never.” And he meant it with every fiber of his being. They both stayed that way for a few minutes in their own world. What they didn’t know was that not only had Diane witnessed their moment, but Jeff and Nancy had as well. If they had any doubts they were washed away with their daughters’ tears and from the confession from the man who now held her heart.
“Liz.” Both Max and Liz’s heads snapped towards Max’s open bedroom door to find Liz’s parents standing in the doorway.
“Yeah?” Liz turned but never let go of Max’s hand. Both Jeff and Nancy looked at one another then at their daughter and her future husband.
“Congratulations baby.” They both said with genuine smiles on their faces. Liz looked up at Max who simply nodded at her and let her hand go.
“Thank you!” Liz ran up to her parents who threw their arms around her.
Max stood back and watched Liz with her parents thinking that if he had any doubts whatsoever that he shouldn’t be with her; they were swept away from what they’d just been through. He now knew that no matter what their love was enough to take on anything and come out on the other side happier, together and more in love than before.
Jeff and Nancy welcomed Max to their family and apologized for their behavior earlier. Max simply thanked them for giving him a chance and invited them to dinner to celebrate not only Liz’s birthday but their engagement as well. To which Jeff and Nancy happily accepted.
“This was by far the best birthday ever Max, thank you.” Liz turned from looking out his bedroom window to him lying on the bed later that evening. Her parents had gone to a hotel for the night and would be having lunch with Liz before their departure tomorrow.
“Your welcome.” Liz skipped over to the bed and lay down on top of Max and kissed him deeply. He raised his hands to her hair and ran them through her silky locks thoroughly kissing her.
“I hope I can make your birthday just as special.” Liz finished in a breathy whisper.
“Trust me all you have to do is be there and it will be special.” Max smiled at her before raising his head and capturing her lips once again. They spent the night in each other’s arms, loving one another until the sun came up.
The next morning Max was up early helping Michael move his stuff out of his apartment.
“That’s it Maxwell.”
“Yeah.” Max wasn’t glad that Michael was leaving but knew that they would continue to keep in touch.
“Hey maybe I’ll come see you guys for Christmas? That is if I haven’t managed to find my way to Boston before then.”
“Really?”
“Yeah I’ve been thinking about it. And Maxwell, you Kylei, your Mom and now Liz are my family I don’t think I could stay away that long. I just need to have some time on my own.”
“I understand Michael. Well I know Liz should be here in a few minutes she was leaving with Kylei from lunch with her parents at 3. And my Mom, Serena and Kyle will be here any minute.”
Shortly thereafter everyone arrived to bid farewell to Michael. Diane was in tears, Michael was like her son and she was very glad to hear that he would probably be making an appearance in Boston.
“Take care and if you need anything don’t hesitate to call.” Diane said pulling Michael into a hug.
“Thank you.”
“Michael.”
“Liz.” They both smiled at each other then Michael leaned down and hugged Liz tightly. After that Max and Michael said their goodbyes as well as everyone else. It was hard for Michael to walk away but he knew it wouldn’t be the last time he saw them. They were his family forever after all.
It was a bitter farewell, one that they all knew had to come eventually but that didn’t make it any easier. Max was beyond emotional because he knew in just a few short days that both his mother and Serena would be leaving.
“It’s okay Max.” Liz leaned up on her tiptoes and hugged him when they were alone in his room later that night. She knew how hard it was for him to let go but she would be there for him.
“I love you Max and we’re going to make it through this together because I’m not going anywhere.” Max pulled her up in his arms and kissed her lips softly.
“I can’t wait to make you my wife.” Liz smiled brightly at Max’s words, “Me either.”
****
A few days later they all found themselves facing another goodbye. “I’m going to miss you, I don’t know how to thank you for helping me. I don’t think I would be where I am with Liz if it wasn’t for you.” Max stood in front of his cousin who was already crying and she didn’t care that everyone was watching.
“Max have faith in yourself. You would be right where you are now because of the person you are, so don’t sell yourself short. All you needed was a swift kick in the ass to jumpstart the process.” Serena joked letting out a sad laugh. She had learned so much about herself that summer, her strengths, her weaknesses and for the first time she found out that she is capable of finding love…true love.
Kyle and Serena had their goodbye the day before; it would be too hard for them to have done it the day of her departure. After they all had dinner together, Kyle and Serena stayed up all night and only when she had to head back to grab her bags did she leave him.
“Liz Parker what can I say other than it was a pleasure getting to know you.” Serena said pulling Liz into a hug.
“Serena Evans what can I say other than it was an experience getting to know you but I can never thank you enough for being there when I needed you and always having my back.”
“Thank you Liz, for making my cousin smile and filling his heart again. He may have Kylei but he’s not complete without you by his side, and just remember that when he pisses you off.” Serena tried to make light of the situation; she didn’t think it would be that hard to leave.
“I’ll try to remember.”
“Hey I’m still standing here.” They all shared a small laugh, a few minutes later the car arrived to take Serena to the airport.
“I love you.”
“I love you too Max, take care of her.” Serena whispered in her cousin’s ear before getting in the car.
“I will.” Max mouthed to her as she pulled away.
****
After having dinner Max decided he needed to take a walk. Tomorrow was going to be the hardest part his mother was leaving. Although it was only for a week, since his father’s death he had not been without her for a single day.
“Max.” Diane had left the house shortly after Max knowing exactly where he was going. She left Kylei with Liz and followed the path of her son…to her husband.
“Mom what are you doing here?”
“I wanted to talk to you.” Max simply nodded and held out a hand to his mother helping her to the ground to kneel next to him.
“I miss him Mom so much.” Max couldn’t hold his tears back, not only was his mother leaving but he would be leaving his father.
“I know baby so do I. I miss him everyday, every minute of the day and I wish I could let go because it would be easier but I can’t. I love him more everyday.” Diane let her tears run freely down her cheeks and reached out a hand to her son who held onto it tightly.
“You know I remember the day he came home with that new bicycle and I was too scared to get on it, but he told me that he knew that I could do it, that I could do anything I wanted I just had to believe it in here.” Max pointed to his heart.
“That’s right Max, nothing has changed. You are your father’s son without a doubt. He had insecurities just like you but the one thing you got from him, which you should be so proud of, is his heart. Max you’re not perfect, neither am I or anyone for that matter, but your heart is who you are and without it you’re nothing. You know who taught me that?” Max swiped the tears from his eyes and shook his head.
“Your father. Max your father had so much faith that you would find your way again. He was so proud to call you his son and he wouldn’t trade one second with you for anything; you meant the world to him. The one thing he would tell me when I would tell him how worried I was about you was so true, I don’t think I saw it then but now I know he was right all along.” Diane wiped the tears from her son’s eyes and waited until he looked at her.
“What d-did he say?” Max was eager to know.
“That you needed to find your way and once you did you would become a great man and an even better father when the time came, and you are Max. I know your father is looking down on you right now and smiling because he’s so proud of you.”
“T-thank you Mom.” Diane held her son tightly until he let go of all the pain he was holding in. All the worry he held onto that he was letting his father down he was finally letting go.
“You okay?” Liz asked as Max climbed into bed several hours later. She wrapped her arms around him.
“Yes, I am now. I love you.” Max kissed her lips softly before closing his eyes.
“I love you too.” Liz kissed to top of his head and held him all night knowing that tomorrow was going to be tough for him. She thought about their departure the following week and she knew there was something she needed to do before they left, she just hoped that she had enough time to get it done and surprise Max.
****
The next morning Max was holding himself together a lot better after his conversation with his mother the night before. He finally decided to let go and realize that his father would be happy that he and his mother were moving on, but he would never forget.
“Bye Mom.”
“Bye honey, I’ll call you as soon as I get to the hotel.” Diane kissed her son’s cheek then held her granddaughter.
“Bye sweetheart, grandma will see you in a week and I’ll be sure to have a present for you.”
“Mom you spoil her.” Max whined playfully.
“Like you’re one to talk, you spoil this little girl more than anyone.” Diane winked at her son knowingly.
“Oh no I think I’ve been coming in second to Liz.”
“Did someone mention my name?” Liz stepped onto the sidewalk outside the diner just in time to hear her name.
“Yes Max here was saying that you were now number one in spoiling Kylei.” Liz smiled proudly.
“I’m not number one, her daddy will always be number one but I’m a close second.” Liz leaned up and kissed Max’s cheek softly.
“Okay well it’s time to go.” Diane smiled and handed Kylei to Liz and gave Liz a hug goodbye, then turned to her son and kissed his cheek and told him she’ll talk to him in a few hours.
After she drove away Max held Liz’s hand tightly when it was time to head back inside he did so willingly. He had made peace with himself. It was time to start living in the now with his soon to be bride.
“You want something to snack on?” Liz asks.
“Are you offering?”
“Max Evans!” Liz slapped his arm.
“How about a piece of apple pie?”
“Apple pie coming up!” Liz got up from the couch only to be pulled back down onto his lap for a kiss. Their tongues mingled and their breathing hitched but they were interrupted by a little girl at her daddy’s feet.
“Oh looks like someone wants some attention.”
“Hey pumpkin, you tired yet?”
“Yeah right Max, she’s not tired.”
“I know but I can wish can’t I?” Max wiggled his eyebrows at her.
“You are so bad! I’m going to get the pie.”
“I’m only bad around you baby.” Max smiled and lifted his daughter in the air blowing raspberries on her belly.
“You like that don’t you?”
“Dada!”
“I don’t think I will ever get tired of hearing you say that, now all I need to do is teach you how to say Mama.” Max whispered in his daughter’s ear before Liz made her way back into the living room.
“Here you go.” Liz walked back in with a piece of apple pie for both her and Max. She noticed how quite Max had grown.
“Are you okay?”
“I am now.” Max kissed her hand and settled Kylei between them.
Yes Max thought. He was great with Liz by his side; he just couldn’t wait to start his life with her as his wife.

Chapter 31
The following week flew by and that left a lot of things to get done. Max and Liz spent most of their time boxing up the rest of the apartment and having everything they were keeping shipped out. Max was at the post office more times that week than in his entire life, or so he thought.
They were leaving the next morning, their flight was in the afternoon so Liz decided that she would try and make it special for him. After all he would be leaving his childhood home and all his memories, she knew it was hard on him.
“Hey what are you thinking about?” Max asked as he entered the kitchen to find his beautiful fiancé chopping some mushrooms.
“Just that I want to make tonight special for you Max.” He couldn’t imagine loving her more than he did, but she managed to make him love her more. He drops a kiss on her shoulder and tells her, “It’s special because I’m sharing it with you and Kylei, that’s all I want baby.” Liz turned around and wrapped her arms around his neck pulling him down for a passionate kiss. He pulled her flush against his body; he craved her at that moment.
“Max.” Liz tried pulling away when Max deepened the kiss and ran his hands up her back and around her waist. Things were getting out of control and she had a lot to do before dinner.
“Please baby, let me love you.” Max begged before attacking her neck. Liz was defenseless against his assault, she simply nodded her response and Max quickly took the initiative. He lifted her up in his arms and she wrapped her legs around his waist, he carried her to the living room and sat down with her straddling his lap.
“I love you.” He said before slanting his lips over hers and wrapping his arms around her. Liz knew without a doubt that the best decision she made was to trust Max, he had proved himself to her over and over again, but most importantly he never let a day go by without telling her that he loved her. He made her feel like the most important person to him, next to his daughter of course, but just as important. She knew she wanted to spend forever with him and have his children.
“Max?”
“Hmm?” Max said while sliding his hands up her thighs under her white sundress.
“Did you want to wait long to…to have children?” They hadn’t talked about that yet. Max pulled his lips from her neck to look into her eyes.
“Do you baby?” He asked staring lovingly at her and removed the tendrils of hair away from her face.
“I don’t know Max.” Max kissed her lips softly and hugged her to him. “When it happens, it happens, Liz we don’t have to plan it all out. Okay?” He asked her softly and she nodded.
“Make love to me Max…make love to me now.” Liz said in a whispered voice and stood up and slid her panties down her trim legs, and then resumed her position straddling his legs. Max brought her head down and kissed her harder, deeper than before.
“Anything you want Liz.” Their tongues slid against one another as their bodies grinded against each other. Liz snaked her hand down between their bodies and helped Max out of his pants and without a word passing between them and their eyes locked, their bodies joined. They loved each other that afternoon, the way they would love each other the rest of their lives.
****
“Liz do I have to? Come on I went there already.” Max whined and dragged his feet. Liz spun on her heels with Kylei in her arms, “Yes you have to, the post office is going to close and your mom asked me to mail it.” Liz pointed to the package in Max’s hands.
“Can’t we just bring it with us tomorrow?” Liz rolled her eyes.
“Max did you even look at the package?” Max finally looked down and saw it was a package his mother was sending to Serena.
“Oh…well I guess I’ll be back then.” Max frowned and gave her his best puppy dog expression before leaving the house.
“Finally daddy left the house!” Liz said as she looked down at Kylei. She needed to get his present wrapped and set up the living room floor for dinner. She knew she only had about twenty minutes before he came back through the door so she quickly ran upstairs to wrap his present, she hoped that he liked it. She spent so much time that week working on it.
Afterwards she brought it downstairs and then set Kylei down on the floor while she pulled out a black and red checkered blanket and placed it on the living room floor. Then went into the kitchen to grab the food and set up the plates on the blanket and pulled out Kylei’s play pen for later.
“Okay baby everything is all ready for your daddy to get here.” Liz clapped her hands together after she finished setting everything up. All she needed now was Max. A few minutes later she heard his footsteps and knew it was him. Sure enough the front door swings open revealing a very surprised Max.
“What is this?” He smiled when he saw both Liz and Kylei sitting on a checkered blanket in the middle of the living room.
“It’s a goodbye dinner.” Liz smiled happily and Kylei looked up, “Dada!” She clapped and both Max and Liz laughed. He quickly made his way over after removing his sneakers and taking a seat across from Liz.
“Thank you baby.” He leaned over and kissed her lips softly. He didn’t know what he did to deserve the two most beautiful women in the world but he knew he was beyond lucky.
They ate dinner over light conversation about their flight tomorrow and their plans for when they arrived in Boston. After Max cleared off the blanket, he placed his daughter in her playpen, she was falling asleep quickly.
“I have a present for you!” Liz smiled brightly at Max as he made his way back to her side.
“Oh really? Does it involve you and me on the blanket?” He wiggled his eyebrows jokingly to her.
“Out of the gutter Max, no I have a real present.”
“Oh…I thought you were my present.” He pouted and she just threw her arms around him and kissed him breathless.
“You’ll always have me, so that’s not you’re present, this is!” She reached behind her and pulled out a square box wrapped in red metallic paper. Max shook it and Liz rolled her eyes, “Just open it up Einstein.” She joked with him.
He unwrapped it and found a black leather bound photo album with a monogram across the front in silver letters. He ran his fingers across the words, which read Crashdown Memories, before pulling it out of the box and onto his lap. He opened up the first page and there was a picture of him and Kylei from when she was born. He smiled up at Liz with tears in his eyes.
“Come here.” He reached out his hand to her and he quickly pulled her into his lap. Liz sat and waited with baited breath for him to look through the rest of the photo album.
Liz watched as he flipped to the first page and saw a picture of the front of the Crashdown when it was first opened. The picture was of his mother and father in front, his mother was pregnant with him at the time. Tears slipped from his eyes and he ran his fingers over the image of his father, even though he couldn’t help smiling.
“It’s okay.” Liz said while pushing back his bangs from his forehead. Max just nodded and flipped the page. He noticed how each picture was blown up and had a year and a date underneath it, in Liz’s handwriting.
He continued to flip through the photo album page after page, pictures of him and his father in the diner as he was growing up; it was in a time line of his life. There were pictures of his parents and even pictures of him and Serena. He couldn’t help but smile, but when he reached the middle of the album he couldn’t contain his feelings. He turned and leaned down and covered Liz’s lips with his.
“Thank you…I can’t believe you did this. It’s just…” Liz swiped the tears from the corners of his eyes as well as her own.
Max stared at picture after picture of Kylei in various places in the diner and the apartment, they were all recent and ones he had never seen before. He knew that Liz took all of them.
“Where did you find the time?”
“It was tough but while you were at the post office I would snap pictures and throughout the day.” Max nodded and continued until he reached the last two pictures. The first one was of him and Kylei asleep one afternoon a few weeks ago in his bed. She was laying across his chest and he had his arms wrapped around her. Then his eyes fell on the last picture taken only two weeks ago by Serena before she left. It was Max and Liz sitting side by side in a booth inside the diner with Kylei sitting on top of the table in between them. They looked perfect he thought.
“This means so much to me Liz, and I can’t thank you enough.” Max smiled through his tears and kissed her lips softly. Liz quickly responded and removed the album and placed it on the floor behind Max.
“I think it’s time for my thank you.” Liz smiled up at Max who was now laying above her.
“Yes baby. I’ll give you one you’ll never forget.” Max smiled down before sealing their lips together. They made love and fell asleep in each other’s arms until the sun came up.
****
The next morning they gathered their items for the flight in two hours, the car to the airport would be there in about twenty minutes to take them there.
“Liz! You ready?” Max yelled upstairs to her. “Yes I’m right here.” She smiled down from the top of the stairs carrying her purse.
“Good beautiful now let’s go.” They walked through the diner one last time. Max was carrying Kylei and Liz was standing beside him outside the diner waiting for the car.
“Hi Max.” Max’s body stiffened and Liz noticed the paleness of his face. She reached out her hand but he didn’t even blink.
It couldn’t be! He thought to himself. He swallowed thickly and turned around and there standing in front of him was Kylei’s mother.
“What do you want?” Max growled out, it made not only Cassandra jump but Liz as well. Who was this girl? Liz wondered.
“I heard you were leaving and I needed to see you.” Cassandra said softly. She knew that Max would not want to see her but she needed to talk to him before he left. She had only moved back to town a few weeks ago and she heard that the diner was being sold.
“Well I don’t want to see you.” He just wanted her to disappear. He didn’t want her back in his life…in his daughter’s life. Cassandra just looked at Max and pleaded him with her eyes, but he was not budging. She then took notice to the most beautiful little girl she had ever seen, and a part of her ached to touch her but she knew it was too late. She quickly noticed how protective the petite brunette became when she looked at Kylei.
“Max please just let me…”
“Cassandra I don’t want to hear what you have to say.” Max had forgotten for a moment that Liz had never met or seen Cassandra. So when he heard a small gasp beside him he looked down and saw the worried look on Liz’s face and quickly reassured her.
“Liz, can you please take Kylei inside? I’ll be right there.” Liz was in shock. The girl was beautiful there was no doubt, but was she trying to get Max back? Liz was worried, what if Cassandra was back for Kylei.
“Liz?”
“Yeah Max okay.” Liz extracted Kylei from Max’s arms and protectively wrapped her arms around her; Kylei simply laid her head against Liz’s chest as they entered the diner.
“What do you want?” After Liz was safely out of earshot Max turned back to Cassandra.
“I just wanted to say goodbye.”
“We already did that nine months ago remember?” Max bit out sarcastically.
“I know, but I needed to give you something.”
“I don’t want anything from you.” Max said angrily. He never wanted to see her again. He knew deep down if she had not left, he may not be with Liz, but he was still hurt. Not from the fact that she left him, but that she left her daughter.
“I know you don’t, but trust me you’ll want what’s in this envelope.” She pressed a long white envelope into his hands. Max looked at it for a moment, turned it over and opened it. He quickly glanced over it and closed his eyes, letting out a harsh breath.
Meanwhile inside Liz was pacing a hole into the floor. She didn’t know what Cassandra was back for but she didn’t like it, not at all. She was worried, her and Max were going to start their life together and she could just swoop in and ruin it all.
A few minutes later Liz saw Cassandra lean up and hug Max before leaving. Liz was seething at that point. She wanted to scratch the girl’s eyes out. She wanted to know what happened but as soon as Max entered the diner she just let it all go.
“What was she doing here? Does she want to take her?” Liz said while hoisting Kylei higher on her hip. “We’ll fight her Max to the end! I don’t care how much it costs. I won’t…” He watched as her eyes darkened and her brows creased. His heart swelled at the love she had for his daughter…their soon to be daughter he thought with a smile on his face.
“Liz read this.” He said while thrusting the envelope at her. She didn’t want to let Kylei go but she couldn’t open the envelope still holding her, so she passed her off to Max.
She quickly opened the envelope and read it once and then looked at Max in shock and read it again.
“She’s giving her up officially Liz.” Max smiled. And Liz was speechless; there in her hands she held the official court papers, declaring that Cassandra Peterson had given up any and all rights to Kylei Elizabeth Evans.
The tears began to cascade down Liz’s cheeks and Max quickly took her in his arms. “As far as I’m concerned Liz, she’s only ever going to have one mother…and that’s you.” He leaned down and kissed her lips gently. They stayed in their embrace until the car arrived taking them to their new home.
They sat back and as they drove away, both Max and Liz took one more look outside the window at the scenery that passed by. They knew things would be different and not always easy but they also knew that everything they went through was for a reason and that reason had lead up to that very moment.
That moment was the beginning of the rest of their lives…together.
The End

Chapter 32 – Epilogue
Four Months Later
Everyone was gathered at the Evans household for Christmas dinner, Max and Liz Evans that is. They had gotten married in a small ceremony two months ago.
They all sat as one family at the long wooden dining room table and exchanged conversations about the last few months they were apart.
Michael had moved to Boston after the wedding with his girlfriend who attended Boston University. They didn’t live together yet; he needed to go slow with this new relationship. Cynthia was perfect for Michael; she understood the relationship he had and was very patient and loving.
Serena and Kyle were already living together in a small apartment in Boston a few blocks from Max and Liz.
Nancy and Jeff Parker had decided to stop traveling and be a permanent part of their daughter’s life and settled in a small town just outside of Boston. The day their daughter got married was a sad one for them, but when they saw how happy Max made her they knew the best thing they ever did was trusting her. Max had proved that he was not the same teenager; he was a man, the man that would love their daughter for the rest of his life.
Diane Evans had settled into Boston quite comfortably. She still missed her husband but knew that she would get to see him one day, for now she would enjoy her family for as long as she had.
“Liz you want to open presents now?” Max asked his wife who was staring outside the window lost in her thoughts.
“Yes we can do that.” Liz turned and smiled at the man that had given her the best family she could have ever hoped for. One month after they were married the final adoption papers had arrived. Liz was officially, legally and in every sense of the word…Kylei’s mother.
They all gathered near the Christmas tree and Max handed out the presents to everyone; he and Liz had already exchanged their presents that morning while Kylei opened hers.
A few hours later the Evans residence was quiet, Liz sat by the fireplace waiting for Max to return. She had one more present for him. Max walked into the living room with Kylei in his arms and took a seat next to his wife.
“I love you Max.” Liz smiled and raised her hand caressing his face gently.
“I love you too baby. Merry Christmas.” Max smiled and kissed her lips.
“I have something to tell you.” Liz said seriously.
“Okay.” Max said a little hesitantly. Was it good news or bad news? He thought.
“In approximately seven months you’re going to be a daddy again.” Liz said unable to contain her happiness.
“Y-you’re preg…I…God Liz, I love you so much.” He pulled her closer and fused their lips together.
“You’re going to be a mommy again!” Max smiled and Liz couldn’t contain her tears. She loved Kylei and she was her daughter no matter what, and now her and Max would be having a baby of their own. A piece of him and a piece of her and she couldn’t wait.
“Mama!”
Both Liz and Max gasped when they heard their daughter speak.
“Finally pumpkin!” Max said lifting his daughter and depositing her into her mother’s lap.
“She…she called me mama…” Liz said in awe and lifted her daughter against her chest and placed kisses all over her face. Kylei simply giggled and hugged her mother tightly.
“Lay down with me.” Max patted the space beside him. Liz laid Kylei down in between her and Max. Max reached out and placed his hand against her abdomen rubbing small circles, just reveling in the fact that their baby was growing there. He then looked down and kissed his daughter and smiled when she cuddled closer to his chest. He then looked over at his beautiful wife, and thanked her.
“For what Max?” Liz said looking into his eyes.
“For giving me borrowed heaven Liz.” Max leaned over and kissed his wife one last time before they fell asleep in each other’s arms.
