“I suppose, what is it you want to talk about?” Xada ask, and I really dont know. Maybe I could let be more included in the family. "Well I was thinking since it is hard for you to talk to Xan and........dad I thought I could tell you about them. " After all she did miss so much and it wasnt really your fault or theres." I tell her.
"May I sit down?" I ask, I didnt want to invade her personal space after all I dont really know her. She just anyone girl is connect to my family, and some what a sister.

"Well I was thinking since it is hard for you to talk to Xan and........dad I thought I could tell you about them. May I sit down?" she says
"Of course." I say gestering to the seat across from me. I suppose she's trying to attempt a human bonding thing. "But I think I know more than you think I do. In fact, since I found Xan I feel more complete. We connected...or reconnected. I never thought I'd have that kindof connection with anybody."

The party was beginning to die down some. I excused a couple of the guards for the evening. Then I left the ballroom and headed down the hall. I knocked on the door before entering, making sure no one was in there. I walked in and went over to the bed. I then placed on the bed the little card that simply said
'Happy Birthday.
Sincerely
Cinderalla.'
It wasn't just Xada's birthday night. I smiled as I layed the card down then turned and headed back toward the party.

"But I think I know more than you think I do. In fact, since I found Xan I feel more complete. We connected...or reconnected. I never thought I'd have that kindof connection with anybody." Xada said and I nod.
"Well thats good but what about dad? You two barly talk and I can only image how hard it is to talk to the father you never knew....."I said.
I wonder how it feels like running a planet, a family I would never knew, I sure be cold and bitter.

OOC: Joint post between Loxy and CaLlen, or Rowan and Skyler...
Skyler looked over the party making sure nothing was out of place. Xada had left the room and he had quickly taken care of it by radioing two of the guards to follow her. He walked across the dance floor and into the the back room that led to the kitchen.
He looked to his left to see Rowan scrubbing some pots and pans in a skimpy white dress that had a corset top. She had sweat trickling down her neck from slaving away in the kitchen. Her hair was tied back in a simple braid yet strands of her hair had fallen from it's grasp and now dangled beside her face.
Skyler eyed her from behind. She had become one of his guiltiest pleasures. He didn't know why he felt so guilty, he himself wasn't anyone other than a servant. Yes he'd been one of the guards from quite some time and had made his way up from the bottom, but he was originally from a servant family.
His eyes traveled from her neck down to her arms and on down to her butt. Her nice firm butt. He watched her tone arms as they moved up and down as she scrubbed hard on the pots.
Rowan stood knowing that Skyler had stood behind her. She could feel him, his wants, his eyes. She let him stand there admiring her figure which she worked hard to get and didn't say a word. She instead kept on wtih her duties wanting him to take her in...all of her. Finally, she looked over her shoulder to see a now startled Skyler staring at her. "Is there something I can get for you, sir?" She asked him and he knew she was starting to play with him.
He walked closer on into the kitchen to take a closer look, "Well, now that you mention it I am in the need of a stiff drink." he said chuckling trying to make it sound like a joke when he really wanted one. She turned from where she stood taking her apron in her hands drying them off one at a time. She walked to the cabinet and pulled out a small glass and then took a bottle of scotch pouring the glass half full and then placing the glass down on the counter in front of him.
She moved past him squeazing her body in between him and the counter just enough so that she grazed his chest with hers before taking her place back at the sink sticking her hands back in the dish water washing the rest of the dishes, "Thanks," he tells her and she just nods, "That takes care of one of my wants." She doesn't take her eyes from the water and her task she only replys, "And what might the other be sir?" She questions not looking at him. He grins shyly and sets his empty glass down as he walks behind her wrapping his arms around her body and kissing the side of her face, "Oh I could think of a few things to relieve some stress."
He says as he looks at her only it's not her he see's Xada. He see's Xada washing the dishes and his arms around her. He shakes his head and opens his eyes to see Rowan. By this time he believes he maybe shouldn't have had those few drinks tonight. He releases her and steps away, "And I think a nice hot shower will do just that."

When Justin just gave a shrug, I frowned and continued to stare in the direction Sarah had taken. She was going to be fine on her own, I convinced myself.
I, however, could use some rest. "I'm turning in for the night," I told Justin with a yawn. "Stay close to Mom and Dad, okay?"
Yawning again, I walked off, well aware that Sarah, Kyria, and Xadalyn had all disappeared from the Hall. Funny that Xadalyn should leave her own party so early. I hadn't even wished her a happy birthday yet!
I felt like kicking myself. The banquet was about Xada, for Xada- and what did I do? I went off kissing her bodyguard. Smart move.
I wandered up the stairs and traced my way back to the room. When I finally got there, I let myself topple onto the bed, face down.
Uh-huh, face-down and face-to-face with a piece of something. I lifted my face and looked down at the card. The handwriting was unfamiliar, and I was so tired and confused that it could have been in Antarian script or English- the only thing I knew was that I understood what it read.
Happy Birthday.
Sincerely
Cinderalla.
Kyria. I grinned, picking up the note. It was simple enough, but it meant a whole lot. Okay, well, it meant that at least she hadn't been turned off by the kiss.
"Cinderella," I said aloud, liking how the nickname fit her in such a beautiful and yet sad way.
Holding the card in my hand, I lay on my back and stared at the ceiling, seeing nothing but Kyria's face. Her pretty brown eyes, dark hair and red lips. I could hear her voice, slightly husky, ringing in my ears. Part of me felt a little guilty. The other part felt that there was nothing to be guilty about.
I continued to lie there for a very long time, suddenly not so sleepy anymore. I was thinking about Kyria . . . about Xada . . . about my parents and Sarah . . . about poor, confused Justin . . . about Antar . . . about home . . . about my past . . . about my future . . . about everything that was real . . . and everything that wasn't.

That couple moves away and I try to approach another. "Lovely party," I say to them.
They smile at me, looking a bit strained. "Hello. I don't believe we've met. Where are you from?"
"Oh, I'm from Antar, but I have been off world a long while," I say. They seem to accept that as there are many good reasons to have avoided this world for a while, I suppose. I want to steer the conversation toward Xadalyn, but when I try, they don't talk about her, but rather Damion. It seems he's engaged to a princess from another world but shows her little interest and all believe he's chosen another, although these two don't say who. I'm not sure if they know for sure which lady has caught his eye.
I frown at that for a moment. Is Xadalyn yet another casual toy for him or is she perhaps the one he's set his sights on? I wonder how to know.
These two move off and I decide I'd like to talk to Xadalyn about this later. Not that I can really act as her father in this -- I've not been part of her life at all and she's now seventeen years old, nearly grown -- but I don't think Larak can either since he's Damian's father as well.
Heading back through the crowd, I catch another murmured conversation expressing surprise that Xadalyn's survived as long as she has. They, too, expect an assassination attempt. Perhaps they are merely thinking of Khivar, not knowing how his attempt yesterday had been ended. Still, I can't help but be very concerned. "By this time next year she'll probably be as dead as her unlamented father," says another.
"I hope so," I say as I pass. Seeing as I'm still breathing, that's how I hope her to be not only one year from now but eighty years from now, too.
I wonder how they can speak this way in public and then I realize that Xadalyn doesn't seem to be here. Neither are Kyria or Skyler. Alexander was talking to Justin, but I don't see him or Sarah now. Someone should probably collect Justin before he gets too lost.
Liz returns from the bathroom, appearing at my elbow. I give her a smile. "Liz, could you collect Justin for me?" I ask her with a kiss. "I need to find the kids." In my mind, I mean all three of them, Xan, Sarah and Xadalyn, but someone the one I want to speak to first is Xan. Sarah's been oddly distant and Xadalyn is still a bit of a stranger. I don't want to be speaking to her telepathically without warning ... not without better reason than just finding out where she is.
*Xan, are you still at the party? Have you seen Sarah and Xadalyn?* I ask him silently, wondering where he is.

I look up as Alexander and Sarah finish their dance. I've finally decided that I'm going to ask her to dance. Why not? Everyone else here is dancing and I don't really want to ask one of these strangers. I don't know how to talk to them.
Unfortuately, she kisses him and disappears in the other direction. I hope I haven't missed my chance. Alexander says a few words and then he heads off, too. I think he's done with the party. Maybe I should be, too. I don't see anyone I know anymore. I wonder if I can find our room. I should have followed him when he left. I put down my plate and head for the stairs, thinking to give it a try.
I don't get far before Mrs. Evans appears with a smile. "Hey," I tell her. "I was just gonna try to find my room."

I knew that I would probably never be able to sort things out on my own. One day, I would have to sit down with my father and maybe, just maybe, he might be able to make me see things a little clearer.
The whole deal rather cynical. "Happy birthday, Xander Evans," I snorted. "This is what you always wanted, wasn't it? To be just like Mom and Dad and Sarah? To be part of the circle? And what better occasion to have it all presented to you than your birthday? Now you have it all. And are you happy?"
I couldn't quite answer that question. In a way, I felt complete, now that I'd found my twin. But . . . It was complicated.
Just then, I heard my father's voice coming in, Xan, are you still at the party? Have you seen Sarah and Xadalyn?
No, I think they might have gone back to their rooms already- maybe, I replied. Why, is there something important?

*Just the usual,* I tell Alexander as he asks if there's anything important going on. After all, people have been wanting to kill Xadalyn since the moment they knew she existed. The same would be true for Xan if anyone knew that he's my son, too.
Maybe I need to check into whatever technology they used to clone my 'essence' the first time I was killed...
*The banquet is pretty much over, and I just wanted to know where you all were. Your mom is heading up with Justin, now.* I want to just leave it at that, but I feel compelled to add a warning. *This place is still very dangerous, in spite of appearances, so be careful.*
