"Before you say that, maybe you should look up."
I look up and see the blonde girl all over him. I growl at the sight. God why did she make look up at this....
I gasp as I see why.
He shakes the girl off. And he does not look happy.
"See?" she says laughing.
I look at him as he walks away shocked.
"Oh God Laura...what have I done?" I ask her.
I turn to face her. "What do I do? I know your not your brothers biggest fan, but please...you have to help me" I plead with her.

"Well, I definitely like you too," she says then places her hand on my knee.
Her touch seems to burn though the material and into my leg. Her words and touch sends a shiver up my spin. She likes me, I wanted to yell to the world, to dance a jig, as dad would say, and let the world know that she's mine. Instead I return her smile and hold it all inside...for now.
"Why'd I wait so long?" I muttered then realized I'd said it outline. My eyes widened and tried to think of something to cover my blunder. "Uh, well..." I'm such a geek, I think to myself. I place my hand over hers trying to calm the tremble. Why am I messing this up?
I'm still stumbling over words when she surprised me by leaning over and kissing me again. The instant her lips touch mine, my body relaxes and all thoughts flee my head. I no longer worry about mistakes or nervousness, I only feel Christina's lips touching mine, her hand on my legs, and her nearness.
ooc: hope this is ok Fehr's Bear
And great job with Amy and Oliver guys

"Why'd I wait so long?" Erik mumbles to himself, probably accidentally voicing a thought. Apparently I'm correct, because right after he says it, he gets this terribly embarrassed look on his face, and places his hand over mine as if to stop himself from freaking.
Smiling at him, I lean forward, and before he can become more embarrassed, capture his lips with mine. I've been known to be a bit forward, but after our recent conversation, I'm sure he won't mind.
Well, I didn't want him to stumble on forever, and this just seemed like a good solution to our problem. Besides this is more fun anyways. Running my tongue across his bottom lip, I scoot a bit closer and wrap my other hand once again around his neck.
My stomach starts fluttering again as he kisses me back, and I have to say he's a really good kisser. I pull away slowly this time, opening my eyes to stare into his. It's getting dark out, and I can hear music pulsing in the background. "Do you want to go dance?" I ask, grasping his hand in my own.

'Go dance?' I think. I look at my beloved's beatiful face, not seeing or hearing anything else. I look at her confused and pull away slightly. That's when I realize that Sabrina's band was doing more than warming up and the sun has set further in the horizon.
I smile shyly at her. "I don't dance too well." I admitted, a little embarrassed.
What I wanted to do was stay right here, in our own little world, and talk...well, maybe do a little more than talk but I'm not going to tell her that. But I know we'll both have to go out and greet the others and I promised to be there for Bre.
"In a few." I decide, enjoying the privacy a bit longer. I look down at our entrined fingers. "This isn't too uncomfortable is it?" I ask. "I mean...we've known each other all of our lives. Our parents are best friends."

I wait fr a minute, grinning as he comes back to the real world, and realizes that the party has started. "I can teach you to dance, it really isn't that hard." He decides we should go in in a few, which is fine with me. If I really had my way I might not want to leave the van, but Sabrina would be pissed if Erik didn't see her play, and Tyler would start looking for me.
"This isn't too uncomfortable is it?"Erik asks, looking down again. "I mean...we've known each other all of our lives. Our parents are best friends."
"No," I say quietly, using a hand to bring his face up so I can look into his eyes. "Just because our parent's were friends doesn't mean we can't...like each other. To be honest, I started liking you a while ago, I just didn't quite fully realize it..." I add, trailing off. I've never told anyone that before.

"Me either." I say in a whisper. I can't believe I'm sitting here having this conversation. She's liked me for a while. But what was a while? A few months? Longer? Shorter? I've known that I was drawn to Christina since we were in elementary school, when she and I were in the same fourth grade class. I'd sit in the back of the room and stare at her beautiful hair day after day. I'd watch her smile and laugh with friends...especially my cousin Lily.
We sit there for a few minutes in silence as it gets darker withing the van. I know that soon we'll lose all light. Even if being in a dark van with Christina is appealing but that would be moving too fast, and the last thing I want to do is scare her off with any aggressiveness.
I lean in and let my lips brush hers. I can't seem to get enough of her but I force myself to stop from doing much more.
I pull away. "I think it's time we go in." I say reluctantly. "I'm sure Lily and the others will be here by now." I squeeze her hand that's still in mine. I don't want to let go, not yet.
I wonder if she will let go once we get out and enter the building. When all her friends see her. Will she be embarrassed for being with me?

"Me either," he whispers, and inside, I wonder when he did realize it. We'd been sort of friends for a while, but over the last few years, I'd started to notice a change. It was as if I had a crush on him, but I didn't exactly realize it myself for the longest time. Sure, I'd thought about it, but we really were different people. Of course, hopefully now all that would change.
He kisses me briefly again and I let out an inaudible sigh. I could get used to this. Unfortunately, it's getting darker fast, and he replies with a reluctant, "I think it's time we go in." Smiling, I start to get out of the car. I let go of his hand for a moment, and catch the look of dissapointment on his face; I hope he doesn't think I don't want to be seen with him after what just happened.
To reassure him, I grab both of his hands once I'm standing outside the car, and lead him behind me into the building. "So, now we can dance."

There she goes with the dancing. Doesn't she know that I have two left feet? Yeah, I'm good with rhythm and can actually play the guitar...but as for dancing? I'm a laughing stock. In my mind at least.
But really, this gives me little concern since she's holding both of my hands and leading me in through the back door. Her hands are gripping mine tight and I feel a flutter in my stomach.
We enter in and I see that a lot of people have arrived already. My sister's band is playing a fast song I've heard them rehearse many times. They are sounding great and let her know through our subtle communication skills. Bre merely seeks me out and smiles when she sees that Christina is holding my hands.
Speaking of Chrisina, she leads me out to the middle of the dancing area, into a swarm of other kids. She starts dancing, her gorgeous body moving quite sexily to the beat. Letting out a long breath, I start letting my body sway a little to the beat and hope I don't look too much like a fool. The only thing keeping me on the floor is the her one hand still gripping mine.
ooc...ok, I lied...now I'm going to bed

((lol, also, storm, sorry if you didn't want us to move the party along or anything, like how people are there and the band is playing and such...hope it's okay?))

The music is great, and immediately I pull Erik into the middle of the dance floor. Now, dancing is something I love to do, and Sabrina's band is really good. A fast song is in progress, so I start moving to the beat. It doesn't take long for me to get the rythmn, but when I turn and look at Erik, he's barely moving. Well, I'll change that.
Grabbing his hand, I lean real close and whisper in his ear. "It isn't hard, just move your body to the beat." He looks so cute and nervous that it makes me want to kiss him again, but I don't want to do something to make him run away right now, and as it is, he loks like a deer caught in headlights.
Still holding his hand tightly, I go back to dancing, until the song ends. The band starts up another song, this one a bit slower, and I take the time to turn to Erik. "Come on, I'm going to teach you."
He's taller than me, so I have to look up, but when I look to the side I see a few people, mostly guys, staring, as if they are wondering how shy Erik ended up dancing with wild-child me. Who cares what they think? I for one don't.

The art class had gotten out early, but it had been productive, and right now I was carrying a completed sketch of my wife's face under my arm. Unlocking the front door with my free hand, I see a luggage bag tucked in the corner. Is she home? Hoping I'm right, and that maybe Maria came home early to surprise me, I walk towards the bedroom, leaving my things on the table and pray that the kids will be gone for a while if I'm right.
The bedroom light is off, so I flip the switch and and a dim light floods the room, revealing a green robed Maria laying on the bed. With the lighting dim, Maria laying there in green - my favorite color on her - she looks like a painting; like it's too good to be true.
"Maria," I whisper, a big smile on my face. "You're home early." I walk over to the bed and kick off my shoes before leaning over Maria and kissing her passionately. "I missed you."
