Alex/Isabel: Life after Roswell High?

I thought this would make a fun game topic, partly from half watching 'grey's anatomy' last night. If Alex and Isabel hadn't been shafted by the PTB, what do you think life should have had in store for them after graduation?? (Or, if they never graduate, after leaving school for whatever reason.) This is a topic that bears on a number of fanfics, like my 'saga of the pod squad,' hehe, but it can also be discussed in more general terms I think.

Just about anything goes in your answers, as long as it isn't completely AU... I'd like to keep some sort of connection to canon, though that can be the roswell high books instead of the show if you like. Pick one particular point in time after high school, or describe an entire lifetime as briefly or comprehensively as you like.


I'll throw something in of my own, but I'll give you other gazers a chance to be first... unless nobody bites and I need to use my own entry to try a second time to rouse some interest in this topic!

Well, for starters, you mentioned Grey's Anatomy. I can definitely see Izzie as a doctor. She's always been one to try to take care of others.

Alex might go into computers, but I don't think that's at all definite. He was good with them, but he seemed generally smart about everything that came up. He might be one of those people who figure out what they're really good at in university, maybe changing majors a few times along the way.

Of course they'd stay together. They might have to spend some time apart for things like grad school, but they'd manage.

Hmmm what would A/I have been if they had the chance?

I think both Alex and Isabel would have a chance to go off to a top notch college (I mean they both were very smart) but they both decide to remain in Roswell in order to keep the group together.

Eventually they would move in together and since Isabel is scared of marriage (she is worried that they may leave them one day) it will take Alex many tries to convince her to marry and then they have a great big wedding (of course Isabel drives everyone crazy as the "Wedding Nazi") There will be many ups and downs in their lives but they face them together.

What will their careers be? Isabel will probably be an events planner while Alex will maybe do something in the music industry (maybe produces up and coming bands or own a club)

Well in most fics that have Alex in them and alive post high school,he's usually in a band or in some type of field dealing with computers.

Now with Isabel I have a hard time seeing her as a doctor.Maybe because most of the time in fics it's Max that we see as the doctor.

Now with Isabel because of her love of being in charge and her need to plan everything in her life to the last detail I can see her as a boss or CEO of a large company.

I see Isabel as a designer. She has good color coordination, great taste, and loves being in control.

Alex... I see him as a paramedic actually. I know Max is portrayed as that, but Alex is the guy you want to depend on, because he's always there.

I always seen Isabel as being an event planner. Due to her need for order. Alex has always been so talented he could be a musician or something with computers. I saw them as being together ,but having a long engagement. Don't ask me why.

I've always seen Izzy as a wedding planner and Alex as owning some sort of geeky bar with some kind of name that only fellow geeks would get, *Shrugs*.not sure why and also I've always had this strange image of if they had children having a boy first again not sure why just I guess I like the idea of another Alex on the earth.

Had they have been given the chance where do i think they would have gone?

"hmmmm" Well i think they would have become the strongest of the couples. Meaning no more complications like what did happen for M/L & M/M.

I can still picture Isabel getting married to Alex before any of the others did.
And don't really see them as a couple to stay in Roswell.
Isabel had she have even been truely given the chance to open up around humans i think would have made a good councelor.

Alex, well i think he would have become a strip dancer hey one can hope/wish can't they No but i have a pile of rolled up money for the occasion
