Before I knew it I was flying through the air and landing hard on my back. I laid there for a second, trying to wheeze air through my stunned lungs. I was pretty sure my face mirrored Michael's earlier one. After a few seconds, I got to my feet and looked him in the eye.

"If you wish to kill me, you may. I will not stop you. But maybe once you use your powers on me and find that I will not fight back, you'll understand." I fought back my fear. If this was what I had to do for my people, I would do it. It was too important.

I growl at him. "Get whoever that was on the phone to come here now, or I will kill you here and now!" I threaten.

I shook my head immediately at his statement. "But you don't understand how the chain of command works," I started quickly. "I'm at the bottom; I couldn't possibly order him out here. If I did... the punishment would be far worse than the one you are threatening." I paused, a look of dawning comprehension spreading on my face. "But you... you're above him. You're the first chain."

"Then what are you waiting for. Tell him the "King" wants him here NOW!" I yell at him.
I stand infront of Maria...Im not letting her get hurt.
"Well?!?"

I shook my head, lost for words. What on earth was I supposed to do? Training told me to go with my superiors, but then the King was about as superior as it could get... I decided to go with my gut and obey Michael.

"Your Highness," I said respectfully, bowing. I took out my phone and tossed it to him. "First one on speed dial. You may order him out here if you wish. I do not know if he will come. We have not had to listen to a king in a very long time."

He tosses me the phone.

I almost laugh...,king indeed.
I nodd and hit the button.
I hear the phone ring. The instant its picked up I say "Listen, this is Michael Guering your "king", so if I were you Id get your butt here to me or its not gonna be pretty" I demand before they can say a word.

Isabel:

"Alex...would you come in...No my parents aren't home...just come inside. My dad is not going to kill you, I promise. Now get in the house this instant." He was always terrified of being caught by parents, I don't think we've ever been past third base, even though I was looking forward to rounding to home.

Alex:

"Yeah, but did we have to ditch sixth period just to come to your house?"

Isabel:

"will you calm down? It's like your petrifed of something."

Alex:

"Are you sure that we're home alone? I mean what if Your parents come home early or Max and Liz show up...then what I'm going to be the horrible boyfriend in an awkward situation.

Liz:

"Wait Max." I pulled away from him as he tried to ignore me and continue to kiss my neck. "Max. I think someone is here--I hear someone." I pulled away from his grasp. "Max?" I whined as his head fell back on his pillow.

I try to ignore her, still bestowing kisses on her.
"Max?" she says pulling away.
I let my head hit the pillow.
"I cant hear any..."
Thats when I hear movement downstairs...
"Burgulars" I whisper quietly.

He tossed the phone back to me, and I held it gingerly up to my ear. "Sir, The King is ordering you to--"

"I heard him, thank you!" Kane replied curtly. "And if you had done your job better, maybe things wouldn't have turned out the way they did. You screwed up, kid."

"But... but sir, I had no control over this. I picked the girl up like I was supposed to. I didn't know The King would come for her so quickly," I said desperately, trying to plead my case. Mistakes were not handled kindly amongst my people.

"We are coming out there. It should take us a little while, so tell them to get comfortable." With that, Kane hung up.

I turned back to Maria and Michael. "He's coming," I said stiffly, "but it takes about 25 minutes to get from the camp to here."

"Well that gives Maria long enough to get out of here" I state. I look at her. "Take my bike. Go tell Max or something. Just get out of here. You don't have to be involved in this" I state
