I stood there hearing Jose cursing himself in his language. I laugh to myself as he looks at me. I look over and noticing the way he looking at me. Does Maria get this problem with him? I never really notice anyone look at me that way expect for Max and at the moment I'm not liking it one bit.

"Hey Liz, can I talk to you" I walk over to him. There is counter blocking our distant with each other. "What's up?" I ask him.

"After work would you like to hang out?" he said. Is he asking me out? I mean I haven't broke up with Max less than a day.

"A date?" I said and he nods. "Ya it would be fun."

Im staring at my burger...when I hear them.

"A date?" Liz says.

"Ya it would be fun."
Someone just asked Liz out?

I don't think Liz could hurt me more today if she had a knife and stabbed me fifty billion times.
Well I guess she doesnt need me looking after her does she.

I quickly get out a twenty dollar bill and leave it on the table. I still havent touched my pie or rings but I just want out of here NOW.

I over payed by a lot, but oh well. Liz can have a nice big tip.
Lucky her. She can spend it on her date.

I quickly leave the crash and start walking. Anywhere...just somewhere away.

I look at Jose as he waits for my answer. "I don't think so. I just got out a very serious relationship." I said walking away from him. I can only image what he was after, and that one thing he won't get from me.

I saw that Max left leaving me a hung tip. I don't think he should be doing that. I guess I will give him his change later. So cleaning up Max's table I wait for the next customer that walks in.

I rummage through my purse for my cellphone. I know I am in the middle of the sidewalk and I am in the way...but screw them

Aha. Found it. I dial the number Max gave me and press that small cell phone to me ear.

Im right outside the alcohol shop when my cell goes off.
I stop. If its Liz Im going to scream.
I get out my phone. Its a number I dont recognise.
I look at the alcohol in the window before growling.
I pick it up. This had better be good.
"Max Evans?"

Some guy says "Lady move...your in peoples way."

I just glare at him.

Whoa...

I look at the alcohol as I take out my resolution list. I said I wanted to stop thinking about Liz didn't I.
Well...if shes going on a date...why the hell couldn't I? Nothing was stopping me.
I didnt need alcohol...Im not going to let Liz screw me up again.

"Sure, sounds great. What do you want to do?"
