ooc: We're gonna try to catch Isabel and Alex back up. And another welcome to KarenEvans; she's going to be our new Isabel.

After another slow hour or so, the last customer leaves, and Isabel, Liz and I begin to close up. I notice Liz is a little distracted, and seems intent on doing something, so I let her go and tell her Isabel and I will finish up. I know that Michael wanted me to bring her home but I have to stay for this tutoring thing I've gotten myself into, and I told Liz to call me if she needed a ride. Considering how she seems to be changing her attitude, I trust her to be alright.
"So, Isabel. Do we have to do any other chores and such before closing?" I ask with a big smile, trying to do anything to take up time. I know I'm pretty good at lying, but how am I going to pretend that I'm horrible at math? It's pretty much my best subject.

Once Isabel disappears, I walk around the cafe in the near dark and shut the blinds before heading over to the stairs. Okay Alex. Just pretend you aren't getting an A in math, and be glad she's not in your class.

"Iz? I'm done with the blinds," I say quietly, leaning on the wall in the hallway, reluctant to just walk in.

"What're you waiting for then?...come on in and shut the door behind you." I order as I becon him to enter
I pat the place next to me on the bed where I had laid out our math text book along with some rough sheets to practice some sums on.Quite frankly I wasn't aware Alex needed any help in math.From what I hear he's always been extremely bright,one of those lucky ones who don't have to put in much effort to get good grades.

I do as she asks and take the seat next to her on the bed. "Thanks again for helping me out," I tell her, glancing at her math book.
"It's just that some of the stuff we're doing confuses me, but usually I'm good at math," I add, trying to make it a little easier on myself. If she thinks this is just a one time thing, it shouldn't be so hard to fake it. God, why do I even open my mouth, ever.

Something tells me that there's more going on here than meets the eye.I take a good long look at him,searching his face for any kind of giveaway,but find none.So either he really is having trouble or he's a pathological liar.

Is he trying to play some kind of joke here?Graphs are like the easiest thing in math.
