Chapter 253

Serena told them they would have to wait until that exact moment when darkness came before the nightmare started all over again for Isabel to grab Michael in her arms and bring him back to Roswell, it was their only chance, cause if it failed, she was sure Khivar would make sure they didn’t get another one. The second the darkness fell, Isabel literally jumped on Michael and held him to her fiercely. Everyone’s energy was boosting her up. “You’re coming home with me, wake up cause this isn’t real, it’s just a nightmare!” She pressed her lips to his and next thing she knew, she was sitting on Michael’s bed with him in her arms as he stirred and woke up. Isabel pulled away from the kiss and Maria took her place as they all grabbed him from all directions possible.

- What’s going on? You guys are dead! - Michael exclaimed as he pushed them all away and looked around the room.

Michael blinked when he noticed the shocked look on his friends’ faces and his expression changed to one of total confusion.

- Where did they go? - He frowned, meaning Pierce and Whitaker.

- Michael, you were having a nightmare! - Serena said, cupping his chin and making him look at her.

- Serena? What are you doing here? Wait, I’m in Tucson? - Michael stared into her eyes.

- No, kid, you’re in Roswell, I came here for you. You’ve been having this horrid nightmare non stop, who knows how many times until we figured out what was going on. That’s why they called me and Uncle Derek rushed me here to you. You’re fine now and I’ll make sure it won’t happen again. - She assured him and everyone in the room.

- Can you do that? - Maria asked, doubtfully.

- I should. I’ll have to change the link to your essence so that the one Khivar has will become inactive. It’s going to take a lot of energy, and I’ll need you all, will that be possible? - She asked.

- Dad’s going to kill us…- Said Liz, knowing Michael could be gladly replaced by José, but Maria and her, that was going to be tricky. - I’ll work it out. -

Liz went to the living area and called Agnes, whom Liz knew was having some problems with her rent since her roommate had left and she still hadn’t found another one. She accepted to take her shift and even told Liz her cousin was in town and could fill in for Maria, as she was a waitress too in her home town. So that was settled. Liz returned to the bedroom to give them the good news. Serena nodded and sighed. She took both Michael’s hands in hers and kissed them.

- Michael, I know how tired and sore you are from those realistic dreams Khivar sent you. You really should sleep, but you can’t because Khivar would have you back again in his claws and this time he would make sure we wouldn’t be able to rescue you. Do you know why he’s taking it out on you? - Serena asked.

- I made Isabel see he had tricked her. - Michael said without a doubt.

- Right, you really pissed him off and destroyed his plans. No wonder he was so mean to you. And I…we will have to work on you, to keep you away from him…- She kept her eyes downcast, not daring to meet his.

- And I guess it won’t be nice…- He smirked and pulled her hand to his lips.

When Serena looked up to him, she was smiling but there were tears in her eyes.

- I’m sorry…you know we will be as careful as we can. - She whispered.

- I know…I trust you. Now tell me what you’re going to do to me. -

- I will have to alter the frequency on which all your nerve endings are tuned in to. You will be in the same condition you get when you drink liquor, making you totally sensitive until they all accept the new one. Then everything will go back to normal, and Khivar won’t be able to access you again. It will easily take me a whole day plus a few extra hours, and you will need to sleep that much right after. We will take turns watching over you. You will never be left alone until I’m sure it has worked. -

- What about you? - Michael was worried about her.

- I’m fully alien, remember? No sweat, just full concentration. -

- Are you sure I won’t put you in danger? - Michael insisted.

- No kid, none at all. Rest assured. Hey, we’re going to need a lot of caffein here, someone brew all the coffee you can and bring it over, ok? -

- I’ll do that cause I can do it fast and good. No offense, huh? - Isabel added as she got nasty stares from most of them.

- Maria and Liz, you get the mugs and water bottles for Michael cause he’s sure going to sweat it out. - Serena told them.

- I’ll help them. - Kyle started getting up but Serena stopped him and waited for the three girls to be out of hearing range.

- You stay. Michael needs male energy to boost his hormones. I didn’t want the girls to feel helpless. I already knew Isabel would take the coffee task, that’s why I sent Liz and Maria away with her. Liz will get it through her empathy but she is sensible enough to keep it to herself. Max, you and Kyle, I want you to concentrate and feel as if you were bonding with Michael, you know what I mean…- Serena said.

- You mean as if we’re f…having sex with him? - Kyle arched his eyebrows.

- No need to be so subtle, Kyle, but yes, that’s exactly what I mean. - Serena nodded. - And you Michael, feel them in you. -

- Together? They’ll kill me! - He scoffed and smirked.

- Michael…- Serena scolded.

- Sure, sorry, ok. - He closed his eyes and braced himself.

- Jim, you send him all your love, he needs it. Put your hands on his shoulders, and you guys, take his hands, one on each side. Ready? Close your eyes and concentrate as if it were the real thing, ok? Jim, you remember him as the little boy you wish you had adopted and imagine you had and he’s right there under your hands, needing to feel how much you love him and that you’ll always be there for him. - Serena felt their energy flowing into him as she nestled between Michael’s thighs holding a central position as she placed her hands low on his spine through which she would branch it all out to his whole body. Her fingertips started to tingle and Michael gasped as he felt her suck the energy of that nerve ending and resend it already changed. It felt like liquid fire coursing through the whole nerve to wherever it connected to. Michael bit his lip and shuddered, his body beading with sweat.

- Oh my god! I knew it was bad but not how much! - Exclaimed Liz.

She regretted her outburst right away and was glad to see the guys’ concentration was such, that they didn’t even give a hint of having heard her at all. She covered her mouth with her hand and felt Serena understand she had not meant to voice it out so loud.

- I’m doing his exclusively male parts first so you can join in, when that’s over, ok? - Serena whispered.

- Sure, just let us know. - Isabel whispered back, grimacing.

Maria just stood there, ready to cry, but holding back for Michael’s sake, not to worry him, tears running down her cheeks. Liz and Isabel went to stand on either side of her, holding her hands and gradually ending sitting down with their backs braced against the wall as they waited. It took Serena over an hour to re-channel that delicate area and Michael was drenched in sweat. She signalled to the girls to come over and pointed to the water bottles. Maria immediately took one and crouched by Michael’s face to help him drain one completely. Michael’s face dropped back into the pillow and Serena called the girls over. Jim moved away to let Maria where she wanted to be, kissing Michael and playing with his hair, while Liz and Isabel took Michael’s hands from Max and Kyle and the boys went to Michael’s legs. Jim just sat by and watched. Serena continued, going slowly up his spine and gradually changing the flow of each nerve while his friends’ hands gave him the security of their presence and support. After hours of torture, with small breaks when Serena thought Michael was about to pass out and Maria provided the hydration he badly needed to be able to go on, Khivar was finally left empty handed.

- You need to sleep now. - Serena told Michael and kissed him.

- I need a shower first…- He said, trying to push up to fall back flat on his face.

- You’re not up to it. You’ll just have to take it the alien way, sorry. - She waved her hands over him and left him feeling fresh out of the shower.

She freshened up the bed too and they heard Michael take a deep breath and fall asleep.

- Ok, you can rest by pairs, there’s the couch and the sleeping bag, who’ll go first? - Serena eyed them all, one after the other.

- I think you should…- Jim said seriously.

- I’m fine, really, I was thinking in human terms and perhaps hybrids too. -
Serena insisted.

- Max and Kyle were during the whole thing, you guys go ahead. - Liz said.

- We’re guys, like you just said; I think you girls should do some shut-eye first. - Kyle suggested.

After a chorus of three female voices insisting they wouldn’t leave Michael, Max and Kyle had to desist and went to the living area. Soon after, their snores had the girls laughing as Jim and Serena couldn’t help smiling. The girls were nodding with sleep and Serena used her powers to widen the bed so they lay around Michael and went to sleep too, using his body to pillow their heads and feeling him right there with them. Serena went to sit against the wall by Jim and smiled at him.

- Funny how my life has changed, I was after them real mean at the beginning, bitter at what had happened to my father because of them. I know it wasn’t their fault, but in a way it is. Then at the same time, I’m glad my father isn’t nuts, never was, and I wish I could have believed him when he still was able to communicate with me. I really feel bad and guilty about it. - He shook his head and frowned.

- Don’t feel bad Jim, you did what you had always been led to believe, it wasn’t your fault. - Serena tried to soothe him, then decided he just needed to talk it out, so she let him go on with it.

- You know, it was weird. I suspected Max of healing Liz and instead of being grateful for saving the girl’s life I wanted to get him for it! Now it sounds so stupid of me! Maybe it was because Kyle was still after Liz and he was bitter because she had preferred Max. I wanted to prove her wrong for thinking Max was better than my boy, I guess. Probably that’s what motivated me in the beginning along with my father’s issues and then I just became obsessed. I disliked Max for being the silly geek that try as I might, I could never get anything on him. I thought it was so stupid of him to show up at the Crash thing in a suit! Can you believe that? In a suit! It was ridiculous, I mean, what teenage kid wears a suit without being forced by his parents to do so? I hated the fact that each time he managed to go scot free with his innocent, scared shitless stunts, I knew he was really scared of me, but his father was a lawyer, so he had that on me. With Isabel it was different cause she was a pretty girl, so innocent looking, and she played her part to perfection. And Michael…he was the bad ass punk kid from the trailer park. He was the easy target, cause no one would stand up for him, if I decided to bring him in and kick the crap out of him, no one would give a damn. But he was somehow intimidating, and I just didn’t dare. I was really a wuz when it came to Michael, cause he was a big kid, larger than me by far, and I knew I didn’t stand a chance with him in a fair fight. He wasn’t scared of me like Max was, he might be in a way, for the safety of his friends, but not for his own. He tricked me easily at the Crash thing, with Liz’s help, giving Kyle the same costume he was wearing. Real smart move using Maria too. I almost got them several times but they always found the way to outsmart me and that had me totally pissed off. Then of course in the end, I had to go for “if you can’t beat them, join them” thing, and decided the best way to find the truth, was by befriending them and bring them out in the open to clean my dad’s name even if it was too late for him. Then when I saw Michael use his powers to send our pursuers’ car flying, I was in awe. And when the kid risked his life shielding me with his body and whacking Pierce to kingdom come, I realized how wrong I was about him. I felt terrible remembering how Kyle and I had gloated when he heard the rumours in school that Hank abused Michael, and he had just risked his life for me. -
Jim sighed and shook his head.

- That’s how Michael is, he just can’t stand injustice, maybe because he’s suffered it all his life. That’s all in the past now Jim. I’m glad how you feel about each other now. Hard times are coming their way, and they will need you. They trust you completely and I know you will be there for them, you will start changing too, Kyle is about to begin his transition and his powers will mean the difference between life and death. Yours are still uncertain, but I know they will be just as important to their wellbeing. I’m really grateful they have you, you’re a great friend, the best they could possibly have. - She smiled at him and patted his hand.

- Are you really sure Michael is safe now? - Jim couldn’t take his eyes off the sleeping boy.

Serena’s silence made him turn to look at her. She arched her eyebrows expressively at him and Jim had to chuckle.

- Sorry, it was stupid of me to doubt you. - He said and went on staring at Michael.

He had grown so fond of the tall, tough yet sensitive boy, that it broke his heart to see how hard his life had been both times and still was, and there was nothing he could do about it except be there for him. He would always be for all of them.

Chapter 254

Jim’s eyes flew open as he woke up with a start. He blinked at the scene in front of him: Michael stark naked, face down in the middle of a bed with a girl that looked like Isabel lying beside him fully dressed and snuggled against him with her head on his shoulder. A brunette that he recognized as Liz lay on her back between Michael’s legs, her knees bent sharply and her feet on the edge of the bed. Her arms were hugging Michael’s thighs to her sides and her head was on his ass, slightly sideways towards his hip. It started coming back to him where he was and what had been going on. He remembered Serena was sitting beside him and almost expected her to laugh at him. He turned his head slowly, ready to meet her eyes and found them closed. But she was far from asleep.

- It’s ok, he’s doing fine. - She said, her eyes still closed. - Go on, check him out...-

- Sorry, I don’t...it’s not...- Jim tried to explain it wasn’t that he didn’t trust her; he just wanted to see and feel for himself.

- Go on, make sure, you’ll feel better. No problem, no offense. - Serena smiled without opening her eyes.

Jim got up and saw Maria was also there, on Michael’s other side, snuggled to him like Isabel, as both his arms were up over his head out of their way. Jim placed his hand smack in the middle of the small of Michael’s back right over Liz’s head. He felt a pleasant tingle under his hand as Michael’s vibes tickled the palm of his hand staying right there, not coursing up his arm like that scary other time, so he slid it all the way up to the spot between his shoulder blades and back down again. Michael purred with the pleasure of the contact, recognizing Jim’s touch, and clearly enjoying it. Jim couldn’t help smiling as he saw the boy was really fine, not that he doubted Serena at all, he just needed to feel his warm strong body under his hand. He gave him a couple of pats and returned to sit by Serena, whose eyes were now open and watching the scene with a fond smile.

- Guess we needed a snooze...- Jim smiled

- Oh, don’t worry, I’ve been in alert mode all the time. I may close my eyes, but I know what’s going on. He is sleeping dreamlessly and his relaxed vibes are making the three girls with him do the same. -

A loud sudden chorus of snores, from the living area, made them both muffle a bout of laughter with their hands reminding them that Kyle and Max were there.

- What will Khivar do now? Cause I don’t think he’s happy without his fun. - Jim said with a worried look.

- He’ll throw an Antares fit, you can be sure of that, but there’s nothing much he can do about it, without a new link to Michael’s essence, which he has no way of getting again. He’ll be screaming his head off at Nicholas and the scientists, who will be taking it out on each other, and they will just lose a lot of sleep, uselessly trying to please Khivar until he gets used to it. He will just live for the day when he can get his hands back on Michael, which I hope never comes, knowing what he’s capable of. - The dread in Serena’s voice had Jim feeling it too.

Two things happened at once, Isabel sat up and footsteps approached the bedroom as Max appeared at the door. Serena knew they had slept their necessary three hours and were wide awake now.

- You guys need some rest, we’ll take over, go on. - Isabel took Serena’s arm and helped her up as Max did the same with Jim.

Serena took Isabel’s place, enjoying Michael’s closeness and Jim went to take the couch Max had just vacated, as Kyle welcomed him with his soft snoring, his head resting on his clasped hands. Max and Isabel went to the kitchen and had a steaming mug of coffee each. They downed a second one and went back to the bedroom to sit where Jim and Serena were.

- I’m glad Michael is free from Khivar, but it just freaks me out to think what Khivar is going to do about it, cause he’ll sure be pissed out of his mind. - Max observed.

- I don’t even want to think about it. - Isabel said with a shudder. - I need to be near him. -

She got up and went to sit at the head of the bed, taking his hand in hers. Max sat next to her taking Michael’s other hand and rested their heads on his arms, enveloped in Michael’s relaxed vibes. The connection was perfect: they were practically all there; only Jim and Kyle were missing, but the original gang plus Serena, were in full communion. It was as if they were all having a chat together, with their eyes closed but feeling the others there with them, seeing what they were talking about, crystal clear in their minds.

- Hi there! - Said Maria, welcoming them. - Spaceboy…how’re you doing? -

- Mmm…yeah…- Michael smiled, very relaxed.

- That should mean something to you kids, so I’ll take it he’s glad to see us, right? - Serena smiled back.

- You’re catching on…- Michael chuckled, and went “Ow!” when Serena spanked his ass.

- Tell me Serena, was it hard to adapt to pass as a human? - Asked Liz.

- Well…- Serena scoffed. - Whenever I freaked out thinking I wasn’t fooling anyone, I would shape shift to protect myself, and it would scare Derek out of his wits, though he understood my motives. Of course that meant we had to move to another place, where they hadn’t seen me before. Then one day, we ended in Los Angeles, and Derek took me to visit some movie studios. Kal Langley recognized my vibrations and managed to get me alone. I then recognized him too and was very frightened, but he calmed me down and told me he was glad we had finally found each other cause he wanted to make his peace with me. He took my hand so we connected, and I could see how much he had changed. He told me Derek was the best that could’ve happened to me and he accepted him. He saw my shape shifting craze and told me if I wanted to fit in, because that was the only thing left for us for the time being and who knew for how long, I simply shouldn’t do it, and my body would adapt to being human much easier. He said that even my reactions would be so human, that no one would even suspect I wasn’t one. That our ability to shape shift would not be lost, for an emergency, but each time I did it, my body’s reactions would revert to the alien ones, instead of becoming more human, and put me in danger. He assured me he meant well, and said he was sorry he hadn’t been able to protect me from Nasedo, whom he had suspected was a traitor from the moment we set off from Antar. I asked him why he had not trusted me, if he had thought I was a traitor too, but he said he had only been afraid to put me in danger, and ignorance, in this case, would keep me safe. I asked him about you guys, but he told me the difficulties he was having with his gadget, because of the switch Nasedo had made, that he just got snatches assuring him you were alive, but he couldn’t pinpoint your whereabouts. He ended saying that if we were meant to find you, we would, just as we had found each other accidentally, and that if we were meant to meet again, we also would. Then, after pointing to me the way where I would find Derek again, he just disappeared in the crowd. Of course I trusted Derek enough to tell him what I had just experienced, and decided to follow Langley’s advice, which turned out to be for the best and I’ve always looked the same since that day. I’ve even aged like a normal human, which the shape shifting would have prevented, and made it very suspicious. - Serena sighed and nodded.

- You mean shape shifting would have kept you younger? - Maria asked.

- Not younger of course, but younger looking, yes. Now, believe me, there are some advantages in aging in the human way…- She smiled.

- I can’t see any. - Liz frowned.

- I don’t want to sound gross, but you know? Now I hardly need to shave or wax or whatever. The hair on my legs and under my arms grows back so slowly, that it’s a blessing. - Serena laughed. - We also found this amazing sap of a tree in one of our visits to Peru, that’s a real miracle. It’s called “Sangre de Grado”, which is “Blood of Grado”, Grado being the name of the tree, and it looks and clots just like real human blood. It heals sores with incredible speed leaving hardly any scars at all, and if taken in drops, it heals everything inside. Derek takes three drops in his breakfast juice, and has no complaints at all where his health is concerned. You can’t take more than six drops, cause it’s too strong, and the taste would be foul…it’s kind of bitter. I remember the Andes people in Antar regretting not being able to grow the trees because the soil wasn’t right for them, lacking a special mineral that was very rare in Antar. It was a shame! Wish I could send it to them from here, where they have it in abundance! - She said sadly.

- I don’t mean anything by bringing up the age issues, but do you celebrate your birthday here? When is it? - Max said, proving he had no tact whatsoever.

- Max! - From all the girls.

- Sorry…- Max appologized. - It’s not like I asked your age…-

- MAX! - This time even Michael joined in.

- No, it’s ok. I celebrate it the 7th of July, because that is the date we crashed here on earth. I can’t calculate the human date from Antar. It was the third day of the month of the sun, and the coincidence is that July is full summer and very sunny. So I guess my earth birthday is ok. - She said.

- How did you celebrate it in Antar? Well, did you? - Maria asked.

- For us girls, it was a totally family thing. No friends like here, just family, and lots of food. For guys it was different. They chose to do whatever they felt like and it had to be accepted. That’s why Rath-Michael decided to fight his first battle on his fourteenth birthday. - Serena told them.

- Wait, I thought he had been at the meeting of the elders when he turned fourteen. - Max observed.

- Almost. The meeting was a week before, and the battle was planned the very next day so it would be on his birthday. It would mark his turning into a man, and he sure chose well! - Serena giggled.

- What a horrid way to celebrate your birthday! With blood on your hands, risking your life and hurt! - Maria frowned.

- It was an honour! - Michael disagreed with her. - And everyone received me like a hero, specially Vilandra. -

- Which you were. That battle became a legend, because of the way you surprised the enemy, and of course the overwhelming victory! - Serena beamed, remembering her sister proudly telling her all about it. - I know it’s hard to understand, because all you know about war is about the ones very far from you, and where your life isn’t threatened directly. Wars today here on earth are so different, the soldiers are killed from a distance, by bombs or bullets. They don’t even know in most cases who did it. I consider it so cowardly. So far from the kind of combat Rath-Michael was engaging in, with your enemy right in front of you, and it was his courage that got him through. That I admire, not what I see here and today. -

- I’m sorry, you’re absolutely right, today, in battle, if you find the way to keep hidden well enough not to be hit, you’ll survive it and be considered a hero. I may sound harsh to the soldiers, cause it must be a truly terrifying experience, but I’m afraid it’s the truth. In ancient wars, like in Antar, the king and his sons were the ones in the vanguard, setting the example, as Rath-Michael and Ramthis, being the Royal Blooded warlords did. That took the kind of guts you don’t see today, when the head of the country at war is comfortably waiting for news as far from the battlefield as possible. Specially in Rath-Michael’s case, cause he didn’t have the protection of the shield his father had. - Maria looked at Michael admiringly, tears in her eyes to think that if they returned to Antar, he would have to go through that again to keep them safe.

- I know, I had to heal him…- Max made a grimacing face.

- And I nursed him back to health after the healing left him weak and in pain. - Isabel imitated her brother’s expression.

- Still, I’d rather fight like that anytime. Serena, why didn’t we use our powers in battle? - Michael wondered.

- Cause it was impossible to focus it on one person. Several of your own men would go down too. You could’t risk it. - Serena assured him.

- Yeah, sure, you’re right! With the amount of adrenalin coursing through your body in the heat of a battle, there’s no way your blast can fall on just one man, it would at least cover a group of three, which of course, would not all be enemies. - Michael winced at the thought of accidentally killing his own. - Maybe only I should go back there. I don’t want to put any of you guys at risk. -

- The choice doesn’t depend on you, Michael; the orders will come through the Granilith. -

- But it’s gone, Tess took it! - Isabel exclaimed.

- She took the physical transport, the link is still there. You’ve never returned to the cave, have you? Because you thought there was nothing left…you’re wrong. I can communicate directly to Antar through it, but I don’t know where it is. You do, so the problem is solved. -Serena said.

- You want to go there? - Max asked.

- No, I can’t go if I’m not called by it. It would be a total lack of respect. I have no right to force my presence on it. I will be recalled in due time. - Serena said meekly.

- I’ve been in the Granilith’s chamber several times, why hasn’t it ever reacted to me in any way? - Michael wondered.

- To protect you. Khivar’s scientists are constantly focused on both the Granilith, to gain unrestrained access to Earth, and you, to get rid of Antares Royal Blood once and for all. The last part has to be kept out of their minds by all means, cause if the sensibility of the Granilith detects even the intention, they would automatically be considered its enemies, and whatever progress they had gained so far, would go back to the starting point before they even realized what was happening. That’s why they still haven’t been able to break its code, cause someone always blows it. No one can be that smart, or that reserved. That’s what keeps you safe and this world that has adopted you. - Serena told them.

- My mother chose to appear to me and that’s why we found about the Granilith and its chamber, if I go back, do you think I could get in touch with her again? - Isabel asked.

- I don’t want you to be disappointed, but remember they’re in hiding and quite wary to give away their wherabouts and yours too. I don’t think she would risk it now that they know that Khivar managed to get to you already, even though Michael was able to spoil his plans. - Serena warned her.

- Yes I guess you’re right, and I wouldn’t want to put her and the rest of them at any risk at all. - Isabel sighed and frowned.

- Couldn’t she use her dream walking? That shouldn’t be detected by Khivar, would it? - Michael knew he had a point there.

- You know? That could work, though it would take a lot of our energy to get it all the way through. It might work; it’s worth giving it a try. - Serena was thrilled by the possibility, but didn’t want to get them all worked up, though at the same time, she wasn’t about to give up on the idea.

- Well, what are we waiting for? - Isabel was ready to jump into it.

- Whoa there, girl! I said it would take a lot of energy and remember Michael has just been drained of his to keep Khivar away from him and us. He needs to recover completely if we can stand a chance, give him a little time, ok? The second I find his energy is charged and ready for it, I will be the first one to go for it, so we better let him sleep and recover completely. -
Serena just had to love their enthusiam but had to play it safe too, for their sake.

- Michael, I want you to rest and get your strength and energy back. The best way is to take you where you feel totally relaxed and pleased. Tell me where you want to be. - Serena said, taking his hands and smiling at him.

- Just let me lie on the warm sand of a beach, hearing the sound of the waves of the sea, with all of you with me. That’s where I want to be. -

And that’s where Serena took him. He loved the warmth of the sand under his chest, stomach and thighs. And his cheek on Maria’s lap, as he nuzzled at her belly, making her laugh. At the same time, their hands on his body, massaging him everywhere and anywhere they wanted, teasing him and sending him their love. That was paradise to him, and the best and fastest way to his full recovery.

Chapter 255

Suddenly, in the blink of an eye, Michael was transported to that time when they were eleven years old and the Evans invited him to spend a week by the seaside. The place was great, they had travelled by plane which Michael took like just an everyday thing, and then Mr. Evans rented a big family van. They packed all their stuff in the ample space behind the back seat, where the three kids sat, and took off. It was about three hours drive and Michael was still sleepy. He had snoozed comfortably in the plane, stretched out across three seats that were empty and the stewardess had immediately taking a liking of the spiky haired boy. Isabel and Max thought he had gone to the bathroom, and went looking for him when he didn’t return in some time, to find him fast asleep, so they returned to their seats. When Diane came over to check out on them, she asked about Michael and following her smiling children’s pointing fingers, quickly discovered his whereabouts. She just smiled and let him sleep. Then in the car, Diane had ended snoozing too, and Philip kept checking out the kids in the rearview mirror. He couldn’t actually see Michael, as he was right behind him, but Max and Isabel seemed to be having fun with some card game, so he supposed Michael was taking part too. When Diane woke up, she saw Michael wasn’t on the back seat. She asked Philip if they had stopped anywhere at all, but he assured her they hadn’t. When he asked why, Diane freaked out and told him Michael wasn’t in the car. Max and Isabel started giggling and pointing behind them as they had on the plane. They stopped the van and went to the luggage area to discover the drive had made Michael sleepy again and he had slipped back over the seat and sprawled over the bags. His ass and legs were higher than his back, and his arms were hugging Isabel’s duffel bag, using it as a pillow. Philip just chuckled and Diane scoffed and gave the boy a playful spank to which he just grunted and went on sleeping. When they finally arrived, Max shook and Isabel pinched Michael until he woke up, and they went to their duplex. There were two rooms overlooking the sea, each with a bathroom, joined by a sitting room with a large TV set and a kitchenette behind it. The bags were tossed around the beds and they quickly changed to swimming suits and went straight to the beach. Diane took towels for everyone and scolded her children for making fun of Michael’s swimming trunks. It had “Hank” written all over it: they were tight fitting lycras, and a shade of brown, that tanned as he was, from a distance, he looked naked.

- Michael, dear, there’s nothing wrong with your trunks, don’t pay attention to them, they’re just teasing you...- Diane said, a little annoyed at her children.

- I know...- Michael just shrugged and waded in after Max and Isabel.

Diane couldn’t help noticing the constant attention Isabel paid to Michael and Max’s jealousy seeing the way Michael responded to her. Philip just seemed to enjoy watching them, but Diane had noticed some bruising and what looked like reddened welts high up on the back of Michael’s thighs which continued upwards, when the legs of his trunks rode up his butt. She called Philip’s attention to them but he just waved it off, saying kids that age got scratched and bruised all over, no big deal. Of course with Max it was different because he was quiet and not the usual kind of kid, but Michael looked quite active so it was probably just that. Diane nodded, not quite convinced, but Michael seemed ok, and he was having a great time on all fours on the sand, helping Isabel build a sandcastle. Every now and then, he would rest his chin on his forearms watching how it was coming along and Diane would laugh at his position with his ass in the air. Typically, Max was acting as an architect, directing and critizicing their progress, until the builders seemed to have enough and winking at each other, they jumped to their feet and Isabel grabbed Max by the hair as Michael clamped his large hand on the back of Max’s long swan-like neck, and walking side by side with Max in the middle, in an apparently friendly fashion, they dragged him to the water. Then, kicking his feet from under him, they left him sitting and sulking with the water up to his waist. Michael and Isabel came back hand in hand, whispering to each other and laughing. When Max came out and sat by them glaring and still criticizing, they started chucking sand at him until he shut up. Diane rolled her eyes and felt sorry for Max, but she had to admit he could be a real pain when he wanted to, which was quite often unfortunately.
Both rooms had double beds, so an extra twin bed was added to the children’s room for Isabel, and the boys would share the larger one, but every morning, they would find the three kids sleeping together in the double bed, Michael on his belly in the middle and Max and Isabel kind of snuggled to his sides. A couple of times, when Diane went to check them at night, she had found her children on their backs with Michael sprawled face down over half of each, his arms around them in a protective way and their arms holding him tight against them. Somehow, it had bothered Diane so much, that she practically had Philip swearing there was no one else near that road the night they found Max and Isabel, but still their familiarity with Michael disturbed her.
“They’re kids, Diane, they like Michael because, in Max’s case, being shy and quiet, Michael is what he would like to be, and in Isabel’s case, she feels safe with a boy who will fight for her like her brother won’t, that’s all.”
“Michael looks more like Isabel’s brother than Max does…” Diane said.
“Well they should know and Isabel and Max have always said they were brother and sister, do you want me to ask them about Michael?” Philip said. “No! I’m just being silly, that’s all.” Diane smiled weakly, but she really was afraid of the answer, she’d rather not know.
The first morning, Max and Isabel woke up and sat up sliding away from Michael when Diane shook their arms. “You kids take a shower, ok? Dad and I are going to the store to get some food for the fridge.” “I want to go with you!” Isabel whined. “Hurry up then, we’re just about to have breakfast.” Isabel ran to the bathroom and did her quick alien cleansing, spending some time with her hair to make it seem reasonable, then she rushed out to find Michael still asleep and the sound of the tube told her where Max was. “You take care of him, I’ll make sure they buy what we want.” Isabel assured him and rushed to the kitchen to join her parents with a faster still breakfast. When Max heard them driving away, he returned to the bedroom and started teasing Michael to wake him up. He had also noticed the welts in his thighs of course, and since Michael slept in tight briefs that rode up his butt, Max started tracing the welts with his finger. Michael moaned and squirmed away from his finger but Max was insistent. “No please, it hurts, don’t…” Michael whispered trying to make him stop. Max waved his hands, full of curiosity to know where the other welt that disappeared up his briefs went, and left him naked. Max followed it deep between his buttocks and was surprised when Michael growled in apparent pain but pushed up against his finger. “Ok then…just go fast, I want to sleep…” Michael whispered again and spread his thighs. Max was staring surprised at the amount of welts that crossed his ass, much more that he had expected. Michael had had a real good lashing! Worried that his mom would find out and maybe not let them have Michael for a friend, he healed him. There were faint scars left, but you had to look close to see them. “I’m sorry Hank, do anything you want, I’m sorry” Max couldn’t understand what Michael should be sorry about. Why should Hank do anything to him? Lash him again for going away for a week? Didn’t he have his friends to play cards or whatever? What did he want Michael for? Adults were weird. He had no right to hit Michael or do to him whatever it was he did to him. He decided he better woke him up and took him to the shower as his mom had told him to. He went to the bathroom and got a towel making it wet, like the bullies at school loved to taunt Michael at the showers as he covered Max from them. He whacked at his healed ass a couple of times before Michael grunted and screamed: “Shit! Let me be! You’ve had me all night and I’m sore! And I have to go to school and sit on the damn hard desks!” Max was somehow able to get what he was mumbling against the pillow but he was sure pissed. “Hey, it’s me! Max!” He said softly as he rubbed Michael’s sore ass gently. “Max?” Michael purred, but his eyes were still closed. Max rolled him as far as his side and the second his sore butt made contact with the bed, Michael’s eyes opened slowly and he pushed up to his hands and knees. “Ok, ok, I’m getting up!” He slurred, then “Max?” again, this time really waking up. “We have to take a shower and have breakfast before they come back to go to the beach.” Max explained. “Have a shower to go to the beach? Shouldn’t it be after?” It didn’t make sense to him. “When mom orders, we obey!” Max nodded for emphasis, and reached out for Michael. He grabbed his tight body around the stomach and pushed him in front of him to the shower. “Why does your father hit you…just here?” Max asked him as they got into the shower stall, placing his hands on Michael’s ass. “Cause that’s covered most of the time” Michael guessed. “He shouldn’t, my dad never hits us, or mom either.” Max said. “Cause you guys are never bad…” Michael realized his mistake and immediately changed the story. “And it wasn’t my dad, just these older kids from the neighbourhood who have it on me.” “Why don’t you tell your dad so he can complain to their dads?” “Can’t get in trouble there, my dad says they’re about ready to kick us out and there’s nowhere else we can go.” Max felt real bad for Michael and just shut up and started to soap his back. “You don’t need to do that.” Michael said reaching back for the soap but Max pushed his hand away. “I want to, ok?” Michael shrugged and let Max soap up all his body. He spent a long time on his butt as if he were trying to erase the faint scars away. Michael moaned and pushed his ass back against his hands, cradling his face on his arms on the tiles. “You know? This welt went right up to your…” He said as his finger prodded Michael’s opening. The slick bubble bath help Max ease it into him and Michael purred and bucked pushing him deeper in. He grunted and Max asked: “Does it hurt?” “Hurts good but the soap stings…” Michael complained and at that moment they heard the car arriving at the driveway. Max pulled out and Michael went “Ow!” Max spanked him a hard one leaving a red hand print and laughed. “You made me do it!” “You wanted to!” Michael challenged, “Yeah…Oh well, they’re back.” He waved himself clean and walked out of the shower, tossing a towel to Michael who was rinsing out. He caught it away from the water just in time and tucked it in the shower door. Isabel was knocking repeatedly on the door and Max got his trunks on with another wave of his hand and opened the door. Isabel looked at the naked wet Michael as Max left them alone. She got the towel and opened it for him. “Come here, I’ll help you dry.” She said as if it was the most normal thing. Michael felt the same. He walked into her arms as she rubbed him dry. “Isabel, dear?” They heard Diane coming to the bathroom door and Isabel, quick as a flash, waved his trunks on. She received her mother with a big smile as she hung the towel on the rack. “I’ll change now, go have breakfast Michael.” She gave him a nudge on the ass towards the door and Diane arched her eyebrows at her, totally disapproving, but then just shook her head smiling. It had just been a spontaneous gesture, very much like Isabel. At least Michael was the catalyst between her kids and they hadn’t argued or got in a fight even once so far and she was glad for that.
Michael spent a wonderful week, away from abuse and as part of a normal loving family, which made it so hard for him to go back to Hank and the trailer park. For the first time in his life he had felt living was worth it and what it was like having a father that didn’t beat him or raped him. He obeyed Diane as if her word was the law, thinking it was so cool to have a mother who cared and looked after him. The night before the last, Philip had said he would order Pizza and lots of icecream for supper, so when they arrived from the beach, Isabel and Max took showers in that order and left Michael taking his to join them at the sitting room. They were all watching a film which Diane wasn’t enjoying much and she went to find out what was taking Michael so long. She was surprised to find him lying on the bed wrapped in a towel, with his face cradled on his arms. She tiptoed to the head of the bed and crouched beside it. Although his eyes were tightly shut she could see the tears running down his cheeks. Diane, totally unaware of the boy’s home arrangements, completely misunderstood the motive. She knew he didn’t have a mother. She remembered a couple of years ago, the first time her kids had insisted that Michael stayed over, and he just said, “0k”. Just like that. So she told him he had better call his mom and he told her he didn’t have one. “Who do you live with?” Diane asked him, a little confused. “My father.” He practically spat the word out. “Well, call him to ask permission.” Diane insisted and led him to the phone. He dialed and went: “Hey, I’m staying overnight here at my friends, ok? … I’ll be back after classes … Sure, ok.” That was all. He wasn’t asking for permission, he was simply informing. The next time this happened, he just told her his dad was ok with his staying over at them anytime, he didn’t need to call. “Well, call him anyway, ok?” He nodded smirking and called. He just went as far as: “I’m staying over at my friends…” and he just hanged up. Diane looked at him confused. “He got pissed cause he’s playing cards with his friends and doesn’t like to be interrupted unless it’s a real emergency.” He explained and she nodded frowning. “What kind of dad did this poor kid have?” Diane asked herself.
“Do you miss your father? Do you wish he had come with you?” She asked innocently. He just shook his head and sighed. “You’re homesick, it’s ok…” Diane insisted and he whispered: “I wish I could stay with you…” “There, there, I’m sure your father’s missing you very much…” “Sure he is…” He scoffed and Diane could have sworn there was sarcasm in his voice. The doorbell rang and Diane pulled him to her. “C’mon, the food has just arrived so let’s get you dressed.” Diane helped him off the bed and rubbed him with the towel to make sure he was dry. Then she pushed the towel down, surprised at the boy’s lack of shyness, and slowly, got him in shorts and t-shirt. She liked the feel of his tight chunky body, so different from Max’s thin lanky one. She hoped her son would eventually fill up some but she had her doubts as he was clearly the nervous type. At least Isabel had turned out more sociable, and had many friends, unlike Max. Michael was also enjoying her touch, and the way she showed her feelings openly. He forced his tears away, knowing they were making her uncomfortable and smiled at her wrapping his arms around her. He could feel how happy it made her and he wished he knew what else he could do to make her happier still. Right now, she wanted him to join them and eat, so he was glad to oblige. After supper, Michael said he was sleepy and went to their room. During the film they were watching, Diane went to check on him twice and made sure he was really asleep. The sound of the waves had a soothing effect on Michael and he enjoyed lying on the shore, letting the tide wash over him. After seeing the gentle and sensitive child he was, Diane was shocked to find out at the PTA meetings the reputation Michael had of being a troublemaker and difficult student. She found it so hard to believe and commented it to Philip, who had noticed the way Michael would either go tense and defensive when he touched him to get him to move or do what he wanted, or kind of meld into him when his touch was gentler, more caressing, not imposing. He automatically suspected abuse, and at the same time a need to be loved, but decided it was better not to get involved. Still, he liked the kid, he wished Max had some of his cocky arrogance. On the way back, next day, the Evans had arranged the baggage so that Michael had a side to side space right behind the back seat to stretch out and sleep. Then he was lucky enough to find three empty seats again and flew back snoozing all the way. Michael wouldn’t let them drive him all the way to the Trailer Park. He had them drop him at the store about a block away saying his father shopped there at that time and he would meet him there. They agreed and watched him wave to them before he disappeared inside the wide glass door. They hadn’t picked him up either, he had hitch hiked to the Evans’ so they had no idea exactly where he lived. As was expected, Hank had really “missed” him a lot and gave him one hell of a night to prove him how much. Michael spent the next two days in school at the infirmary, for a bad “stomach ache,” since there was no one home to take care of him. Hank would never learn! He was lucky Michael was a tough kid, and could deal with his abuse.
A month before the trip, when the Evans’ had invited Michael over, the boy had the brilliant idea to comply with their request that he asked permission from his father. Hank went ballistic and took it out on him all night. Next morning, Hank woke up to find Michael drenched in blood and burning with fever. He got scared, so he wrapped the bloody part in towels and packing him in his van the best he could, he took him to the free clinic where the boy usually ended in an emergency like that one. Dr. Hills led the group that took care of the boy and then went to have a serious chat with Hank, who as usual, insisted he had found him like that, and blamed the bastard neighbours from the trailer park. He told him that the boy should be in a hospital, but Hank insisted he couldn’t pay for it. The doctor told him that the only other alternative was to leave the boy with him for a week and he would bring him to the clinic with him everyday and keep him supervised while he was working, and at home all night long. When Hank refused, Dr. Hills told him there was no other alternative, either that or hospital. Still Hank wouldn’t accept either so the doctor said next day, before coming to the clinic, he would go to the social worker and report him. That made Hank accept the doctor to take the boy. So for a week, he had him under constant supervision and medication, and Michael told him about the invitation he had to the beach with some friends Hank didn’t approve of because they were nice people. The doctor told Michael he would help him out, he would call Hank to tell him he had to keep him for another week, and he would fake a note from Hank giving his permission for the Evans to take the kid on the holiday. That’s how Michael got to go without Hank knowing what had happened.
Somehow Serena’s sensibility had managed to capture the whole group of people that took part of this scenario, and convey their every thought and opinion. Serena’s powers were amazing, and had captured all this from their memory, which would have definitely been lost to him if she hadn’t used her alien “therapy”. Now that the prelude and aftermath had been disclosed, Serena concentrated on the pleasant parts of the trip and took Michael back to the beach and the sun and the cool salty water that had him relaxed and happy and kept him there for as long as he slept.

Chapter 256

After almost twelve hours in which they took turns and Liz and Maria, after all, went to work at the Crashdown, Michael began to wake up. Liz sat up beside the bed where she was crouching holding one of his hands and Maria who was holding the other, literally jumped up and pounced on him.

- Spaceboy, you ok? How are you feeling? - She asked anxiously.

Michael just took a deep breath and sighed, stretching and squeezing both hands in his, gently. The others immediately surrounded the bed.

- Man, that was so cool! - Michael chuckled and opened his eyes slowly.

He looked around in confusion, wondering where the beach went, and this lady right in front of his eyes looked familiar, but who was she?

- Michael, you’re ok now, you’re back, remember? We’ve been waiting for you, you’re safe from Khivar now. - She said in her soft familiar voice.

Michael shook his head to clear his thoughts. What the hell was that feeling between his legs? Oh, he had a waking hard on…a hard on? How?... What? Oh shit! Right, it had been a dream, he’d actually gone back in time!

- Yeah, thanks, it’s ok now, I remember. - He felt Maria’s lips on his and it was as if he was kissing her for the first time for a few seconds, then it all came back again and the kiss became as passionate as theirs usually were.

- I’m so glad you had such a great time, and I’m so thankful at you’re mom, Isabel, for being so nice to him. - Maria said with tears in her eyes.

- She’s my mom too! - Max reminded her, a little pissed.

- Sure “girlfriend”, whatever, but you should’ve kept your hands off of him. - Maria glared at Max who played it safe and looked away.

- I agree, I didn’t even suspect it! - Isabel sent a glare towards her brother too.

- You couldn’t keep your hands off him either, so don’t play innocent! - Max retaliated.

- I didn’t stick my finger up his ass! - Isabel spat back with fury.

- Not yet! - Max snapped.

- All right, all right! That’s enough, you’re turning this into a cat fight when it happened years ago, and you got your revenge not that long after, right Isabel? So just let it go! We have more important things now! - Serena got control back in her hands. - What are you smirking at? You behave too! -

Michael nodded obediently but kept on smirking. Yeah, Isabel sure got her revenge about a couple of years later. He was thankful Serena stopped the confessions because he didn’t want a spat of any kind to start with Maria, not right now when things had been going ok for quite some time. He was already wondering how much longer it would last, knowing how jealous she was and how well she had taken all the stuff that had come out lately. Liz felt his thoughts and immediately turned Maria over to Michael.

- You’re still hurting some, huh? How can we help? - She had Maria’s attention right away and she knew it.

- Oh baby, come here, let me hold you tight…- She spread her arms for him to fall into them and Liz contributed rubbing his back under Maria’s hold. She felt the peaceful vibes not only from Michael but also from Maria.

Jim and Kyle acted as espectators, not participating at all, until Liz waved them over and nodded. Kyle’s hands went to rub Michael’s thigh and Jim just patted the other one, still a little afraid of the alien boy’s vibes.
Michael felt them and raised his face from Maria’s neck.

- Hey guys, thanks for being here with me, sorry to make you waste your time. - Michael’s voice was husky with the way he was feeling.

- Are you kicking us out? - Kyle joked.

- What? No! Feels great to have you here! What are you talking about? - Michael wondered if it had sounded like that, but he hadn’t meant it that way at all.

- Kyle’s got this weird sense of humour, son, we’re glad to be here for you, he’s just teasing you. - Jim said, gathering up his courage and squeezing Michael’s thigh.

- Watch it Kyle, or I’ll zap your hair orange…- Michael said, sounding serious.

- Hey man, dad’s right, I have a weird sense of humour, I was just joking…- Kyle was afraid Michael would really do it.

- Hey dude, same here. - Michael chuckled and Kyle breathed in relief.

- Ok, this is serious. We go with Isabel’s plan now. You’re on, girl, go to your mother. - Serena coaxed.

- What if she’s not asleep? I will have to keep trying all day long to be able to make the connection…- Isabel was full of doubts.

- You are her daughter, Isabel, trust me, you’re in for a surprise. Go for it! -

Michael moved aside to make space for Isabel and as she lay down beside him, Michael realized what he had done and gave Maria a guilty look.

- It’s alright, Spaceboy, her love’s energy is the best she can have to get her there. - Maria gave him an understanding look and nudged him to turn towards her and hold her close to him. - Go on! It’s ok, she needs you now! Her mother loved you too, you’ll see! -

Michael decided to go with Maria’s encouragement and when Isabel felt him snuggling against her, she reached out and took him in her arms. She was infinitely thankful to Maria, feeling so safe having Michael with her, that she fell instantly asleep. She was amazed at the amoung of love she felt closing in around her and then she was running towards this beautiful lady, not exactly the one she had previously seen at the Granilith chamber, but even more beautiful still.

- Vilandra! Isabel! - She said them as separate words as she also rushed towards her. - My baby girl! I feel he’s with you! My beautiful boy! I’m so glad you’re with her, to keep her safe. -

Her voice had the underwater quality that they were now familiar with. They were lost in a close embrace feeling the love for each other course through both their bodies.

- Mother! I can’t believe I was lucky enough to find you sleeping too! - Isabel exclaimed and noticed her voice also sounded under water.

- No, I was not, but I don’t need to be asleep to hear your call, you’re my daughter, and that’s enough for you to reach me. -

- You mean you’re not…where were you? What did I interrupt? I’m so sorry! - Isabel was worried.

- No, my child, nothing even near as important as this is to me, to the people with me, I went into a trance which they will respect until it’s over, no matter how long it takes. I think I know what this is about, but I want to hear it in your own words. - Wyteeah whispered, confidentially.

- Michael…Rath-Michael is not with me like that now…- Isabel said, not sure of how she would take it but wanting to start with the truth.

- I know, but he loves you just the same, and you know that. You’re both fighting it, but it’s there. You will take different partners, but you’ll always be there for each other, and your partners will understand, and allow it. It will be fine, don’t worry, even if it wasn’t the way it should be, your choices have been the best under the circumstances. Just trust yourselves and always be open to each other, that is, the four of you. - Wyteeah smiled.

- Max and Tess…Zan and Ava…it went all wrong, the baby thing was awful, Max thought it was his, he had such hopes. He still feels bad about the child, in spite of what he knows now…- Isabel said.

- Of course he does, he made a father’s connection with him before he was taken away, and the baby will think and recognize him as his real father until he knows the truth, if you choose to find him and tell him. It’s not necessary because he’s in good hands and very loved. You don’t need to worry about him. Ava was a problem, poor girl, beginning with the mix up with Rath-Michael. I was always sorry for her because it was so obvious she had accepted Zan just to be a queen, because that’s what her father wanted, but not for love, though she did try. Then that horrid thing with her parents! I still feel so sorry for her! She had an awful life because of her father’s ambition, and of course, hers too. But in the end, it was all about her family, I have to give it to her. It must be terrible to be in love with someone who’s not for you and to be forced to love one that you don’t. It was really a tragedy. I’m glad she made her peace with all of you. I feel so bad for all Rath-Michael has gone through. I was hoping he would have an easier life on earth, but of course, his destiny is too strong. He had to go through what made him the warrior he was, to make him what he is now. I loved him so much, I’m sorry I caused conflicts with Zan, but he was always such a difficult child, his father’s son, never close to me as you and Rath-Michael were. My nephew was really more my son that Zan ever was! It must sound so strange to you there on earth, that you two were together having been raised as brother and sister, and that’s what made the difference there, I know. But I know there’s been a change for the better lately. You are amazing children, your hearts can hold so much love, that with your example, your partners will be able to find it possible to love you the way you are and allow you to share your original love, because the second they chose you, it was because they are just as special as you, on a human version. You’ll see how they always rise to the occasion, no matter what. They understand you as no one else will. -

Wyteeah assured her daughter with such certainty that Isabel knew she was right beyond doubt. It made her feel so good, so sure of herself. Her bond with Maria had become amazing, and Stuart’s bond with Michael was just as awesome, making her feel even stronger in her feelings for him because they both loved Michael. She noticed the way her mother was smiling at her, and she knew she was perceiving her every thought. Isabel smiled back at her and they shared their feelings for a few beautiful seconds.

- I’m worried about Max…Zan, and Liz…- Isabel started.

- Don’t, they’ll find their way. She’ll be the strong one, in spite of being such a small girl, her empathy with Rath-Michael is her strongest point, and Zan is already coping with it, though he is very jealous…-

- He knows Michael’s sexual encounters with her were not caused by him... he’s even grateful to…- Isabel interrupted to be interrupted herself.

- You’ve got it the other way round, Lonnie, he’s jealous for Rath-Michael, more than for Liz. He knows she’ll be with him because now with her empathy, she couldn’t be away from Rath-Michael, and being with Zan is her best chance. There’s no way Rath-Michael can feel for her what he feels for you and Maria. What he feels for her is what one feels for a very dear friend, someone you trust completely, someone you wouldn’t be able to deny anything to, not even sex, just to please her, but not because it was your choice, do you understand it? That’s what happened to you with Alex, Lonnie, I’m sorry, but it wasn’t real love. He was what you needed to gain back your confidence, after that incident that Ava brought on with Rath-Michael. Her erratic idea of bringing you two together was to make sure she could gain Zan back to rescue her family. I can’t blame her. I’d hate to be in her place. Nasedo was a demon! He knew how to get his way. I hate to admit I was so glad when Careetay killed him. - Wyteeah frowned.

- Who is Careetay? Oh no! You mean…- Isabel guessed who it was.

- Yes, to you it was Courtney, but he was our best spy. He had to go as a woman, to make sure Nasedo couldn’t identify him, and he obviously didn’t. He should have shape shifted back into a man, but he decided to stay as a woman when he found out Rath-Michael’s homosexual side wasn’t that much in the open because of the social issues there on earth, so the only approach possible would be as a girl. Tell Maria to rest assured, because Courtney was really a man. Though now that Rath-Michael’s sexuality is in the open again, I don’t think it will be much of a comfort. Anyway, you can assure her that nothing happened, and if it had, it would have gone the other way round. Careetay drooled after Rath-Michael here. He would have shape shifted into his real sex once he had him where he wanted because that night, the plan was just that, he would reveal who he really was and give him a vision of what was going on, and how much he was needed. He was sure the extra “nudge” would convince him to return with him. It wasn’t to be, unfortunately, and the next second chance was lost too, and that was it. Nicholas captured Careetay and he simple pulverized himself before giving you away. - Wyteeah sighed.

- Maria will feel much better in a way about Courtney’s real sex, but not about the opportunities. She knows of the last one only, so I don’t think it’s necessary to make her feel worse, it’s not that important or won’t change anything so far. - Isabel decided.

- I agree. It’s your choice and I go with your decision. It shows you’ve really bonded with the girl and Rath-Michael will even love you more for it. His issues with Careetay need a closure though, but it’s up to him and both of his girls. It must be a joint decision, but it will be necessary. It haunts him every now and then. He’s kept it from both of you and even Zan, but Liz has felt it a few times, thinking of course, of Courtney as a girl. She’s been able to capture just the essence and that’s how she knew her. She’s proven to be loyal to Rath-Michael and never even mentioned it, not even to him. She loves him. I’m sad to think it’s Zan’s lot that his women will always really love Rath-Michael and take Zan just to be near him. This time I’m asking you to keep it away from him, he’s frustrated enough, and it will be Rath-Michael who ends up paying for it. Liz knows how to keep her half secret, because it’s been obvious enough times and Zan is not that stupid though he can be dense a little too often, I should know, he’s my son after all. - Wyteeah admitted.

Isabel giggled though it was nothing to laugh about. She had got between them after Max hit Michael that night that Topolsky’s destiny was sealed by their intervention and even if she had been assured that Michael wouldn’t have been able to hit Max back, he had given him one hell of a scare, cause he sure looked like murder in the highest degree. She had never said it, but she could feel Max shaking behind her as she stood in front of him to save him from Michael’s fury. And then Max had Valenti to wrap up his rescue.

- Yes, Zan has always been lucky when it came to his safety. Even his death was merciful and even Rath-Michael and you were there for him to spare him from even that. I will never forget it when the bodies arrived at the tunnels. First I received Zan’s and saw his death, how you snatched his essence away a fraction of a second before the axe hacked off his head. Then I received you, with your neck at that unnatural angle, and I knew it had broken so fast that your essence simply kept running to your love, without the least idea of what had happened to you. And then I received Rath-Michael’s body, though everyone was insisting I had had enough and they would take care of him. I couldn’t let them, it had to be me. I had promised his mother to love him as my own and I had. I couldn’t fail him now. It broke my heart to see what that rat Nicholas had done to him. The most degrading death possible, the one saved for the worst kind of traitor, one we had only heard of, because as far as I knew, no one had been so vile to deserve it. And Rath-Michael, of all people, it was so unfair, so unspeakable. - Wyteeah’s tears were running down her cheeks.

- Mother! - Isabel held her close in her arms as she shook with despair.

- I’m sorry, I’m fine, it’s just that…it’s past and gone, and he’s alive again, in spite of having suffered both his lives in this one all over again, poor child. - Wyteeah shook her head. - We’re missing our point, this is not the reason you came to me. It’s Khivar, right? The largest rat? - Wyteeah shuddered.

- He came for me possessing a human but…-

- Rath-Michael told you the truth and you saw through his lies. He had brought the essences of ten with him, that’s why his blasts were so powerful, but you were the only one that could stop him because you had been his first victim. You were the first to die because of him. And you sent him back. - Wyteeah finished for her. - That’s the last we heard from him, that he was furious and screaming for revenge. We kept a close vigil on your essence because his was too evasive specially as limited as we are. But he has never made any other attempt to contact you, has he? - Wyteeah face was a mask of worry.

- No mother, he came after Michael…- Isabel corrected her.

- No! That’s impossible, how could he? Is he alright? Did he hurt him again? - Wyteeah looked ready to burst back into tears.

- Nasedo sent him the link to his essence before he died. I don’t know why he didn’t use it sooner, or why he came after me before…-

- Because he’s a coward! He’s scared to death of Rath-Michael! He came to you to investigate and find out about him. That’s why he brought ten times his power. When he found out Rath-Michael’s powers weren’t fully developed, he waited a reasonable time for you to forget about him and attacked in a cowardly way, right? Tell me if I’m right! Tell me what he did! -

- He came at him in his dreams and tortured him there, he knew I could dream walk him but he also knew Michael would block me out to spare me from any harm, but he wasn’t counting with Serena. When we couldn’t do anything to stop his obvious suffering, we called her and she was here soon after. Khivar was putting him through a nightmare over and over. We were able to see it and Serena helped me put a stop to it. Then she changed his link so Khivar couldn’t access him again. She wants to give it to you. - Isabel said softly.

- Serena! She’s there with you? Then I was right! They didn’t believe me! She survived but didn’t look after you? It doesn’t make sense! What happened? - Wyteeah was very agitated.

- It wasn’t easy, she went through a lot. I’m afraid she was so disappointed that she was sure of your anger. She is here, yes, and wants your permission to contact you and the Granilith. - Isabel informed her.

- What’s wrong with her? She’s my sister! She doesn’t need my permission! I want to know everything! We’re mostly in the dark here and it would help us find the solution to this stupid situation much sooner. Serena! - Wyteeah called for her sister.

- I’ll send her right over mother, I’m sure she’ll be so relieved to be with you and know that she hasn’t failed you because it wasn’t her fault. - Isabel hugged her mother and in a fraction of a second, Serena had taken her place.

Chapter 257

Isabel watched for that fraction of a second as a beautiful woman, with some similarities to Serena was lost in a tight embrace with her mother, and then she was lying on Michael’s bed with him in her arms.

- Izzy, that was so…I have no words for it! She loved me! She really did! - Michael’s eyes were full of tears.

Isabel pulled his face down on her neck again and he sobbed a couple of times before he started relaxing. Isabel opened her eyes to see them all staring at her with Michael in her arms.

- Hmmm…Michael…get up, I need to tell everyone what happened. C’mon! Michael! - She struggled to make him get off her.

- Ok, ok! Watch your knee! I’ve got balls, remember? - Michael complained and got them laughing.

He moved slowly beside her and buried his face back into his arms.

- Ok, you big baby, you already know it all, now let us find out! - Maria slapped his ass and straddled him, her eyes on Isabel’s.

- Let him rest. He needs it. Here, take my hands. - Isabel reached for Maria’s and Liz’s who took Kyle’s and Max’s with Jim in the middle.

- Shouldn’t we…should we leave her there? - Jim gestured to where Serena was sitting on the floor against the bed where Michael had turned to, so their cheeks were almost touching and so were their hands.

- If Serena as much as feels Michael near her, she will be fine. - Isabel assured them.

Then right before their eyes, Serena and Michael moved their hands together so they were holding each other and they knew Isabel had been right. They concentrated on their connection and they were off.

Isabel gave them what she thought convenient and enough to get most of the picture. She omitted what Maria would find uncomfortable as to the two precious opportunities they had lost with Courtney, and of course the parts of Ava’s issues with Zan and Rath-Michael. Those were just unfortunate circumstances and had nothing to do with the general picture, except personal issues. Most of the Max-Liz thing stayed, to show her thick headed brother how lucky he was, but not the last part, which would create a jealousy problem between them. Isabel knew Max didn’t like his mother saying how much more her son Rath-Michael was, but he had to admit he had been much closer to his father because of their joint projects and ambition. That was something Max couldn’t deny because it had been right in front of his face on their visits to Antar. Like it or not, it was the truth.
By the time her connection closed, Isabel fell back, to everyone’s surprise, letting go of their hands and it was Serena who has back. She slowly opened her eyes and disentangled her hand from Michael’s, who had been with her again.

- It’s alright, my sister wanted a few more seconds with her daughter, they deserve it. - Serena kissed Michael’s cheek and got up to sit on the bed.

Liz and Maria dropped their hands as they were reaching back for Isabel’s, to give her the privacy that she needed with her mother.

- Now they know everything they need. Maria, you’re ok with the Courtney issues? - Serena asked the human girl, hoping for the best

- I can’t believe she was a guy! Are you absolutely sure? - She doubted.

- Trust me, I knew him, though I never saw him as a woman. I’ve no idea what he looked like then. - Serena said.

Liz reached out and sent her a clear image using her empathic powers which were getting better each day.

- Wow! I would’ve never recognized him! This is how he really looked like. - Serena made the circle connection and sent them the image of a lanky man with dark stringy hair and hard coal black eyes.

- I could never be jealous of that creep! - Maria laughed. - What could Michael have liked of him? -

Serena made a fast getaway changing the subject a little to fast for Maria, making her suspicious.

- Ok, Serena, what is it you’re not telling me? - Maria demanded.

“Shit!” Thought Serena, “I was hoping she would let it go!”

- Well, he was well known for…something a girl doesn’t have, so there’s no reason to…- Serena tried.

- So he had one big cock! No wonder he was sent to convince him. Right where I can’t compete, huh? - Her eyes were flashing in anger.

- Maria, nothing happened, I never saw him as a guy at all! - Michael defended himself.

- But now he needs closure and you’re having “nudges” about it, right? Don’t lie to me Michael! - She was ruthless.

- I thought it was Stuart or Max, but he was…larger, so I thought it was Kyle, but he was alien, then I thought he was Geehan, but he wasn’t black so I decided I had no idea who he was. Just a dream of all of them put together. The result of being horny, that was all. - Michael observed.

- So if he has already been fucking you in your dreams what more does he want? - Maria turned to Serena.

- It has to be with Michael knowing who he is. It doesn’t count for him when he doesn’t. - Serena said, barely above a whisper.

- So now that you know it’s him, nothing can stop him from doing it again, so what are you waiting for, that’s what you want, don’t you? C’mon, let’s go and let him get fucked all he feels like. - Maria actually sobbed the last part and turned to leave.

Michael rushed up to her faster than anyone could think possible, and turned her around and kissed her, holding her to him as she struggled to move away. Michael prevailed and she surrendered. He kept it up as long as he could and when he finally broke the kiss, Maria started ranting all over again, but he wasn’t letting her go.

- I don’t want him to fuck you! I don’t want him to touch you! I don’t want you to feel something that I can’t make you feel! I hate him! I hate you! - And she started to cry in pure frustration.

- Maria! I’m not doing anything you don’t want me to! Is that clear? I’m not! - Michael shook her until she opened her eyes, brimming with tears.

- You can’t help it! He comes in your dreams! What can I possibly do? You will simply lie to me and say he didn’t come when he did and fucked the daylights out of you! And there’s no way I can be sure of it! - She bawled.

- Maria, don’t you trust me? - He stared at her his eyes full of hurt at her disbelief.

- I…I don’t know…- She went on weeping.

- If you’re not sure of me, then what’s the use…- Michael let go of her and threw himself down on the bed, hugging the pillow to his face not to see her.

- Maria…- Isabel began.

- Maria, are you out of your mind? Don’t you still know how much he loves you? How can you do that to him? - Liz was outraged.

Maria turned her confused and angry red eyes from Isabel to Liz and then to Serena’s who was staring at her as if she had just shot him.

- Oh my god, Michael, I’m so sorry, baby, it just came out all wrong…- She crouched by the bed and tried to pry his arm away from the pillow that he was holding against his face. - Michael please, look at me, I love you Michael, how could I possibly hate you? It’s just that…you drive me nuts! -

- Now she knows how Michael felt when she didn’t understand him…- Kyle said, nailing the truth at the beginning of their relationship.

- Shut up Kyle! - Everyone…even Serena…and his father, except Maria?

- You’re right Kyle, that’s how I must have sounded to him, you’re absolutely right, I’m a total idiot! - Maria slumped leaving just her face on the bed covered by her hands.

Then she felt a hand going around her shoulders and she tried to shrug it off.

- Maria, don’t, please let me hold you, don’t cry, please. It kills me. Please stop. - Michael whispered against her hair.

- Oh Michael! - Maria turned her face towards him and they kissed as if it was their last one.

- Ok, out, out. Leave them alone. - Serena herded them all out and closed the door.

They went to sit on whatever was available and turned the TV on.

- Oh shit! To have one hell of a porno just next door and not to be able to watch! - Kyle whined.

- Shut up Kyle! - From everyone in the room just seconds before they started laughing their heads off at the expression on his face.

Kyle eventually had to join them. Maria and Michael were goners for who knew how long. Oh well, no matter what, things were better when those two were together, so let them have their fun. At least he knew that when there was a chance, Michael didn’t deny it to him, so he just had to wait for it. Damn alien, wish he could dream walk. He would be having him every night. Wait! He had Tess’ mind warp to the nth power just to be developed…but it was useless in Royal Blood! Dammit Michael! He wondered if he could ask him for that extra one. During his next chance, yes, he’d do it then.

Michael waved them naked and let Maria take it out on him however she wanted. After endless eating him out, finger fucking him, biting and scratching him to ribbons, Maria’s steam had ran out, and she just knelt there between his spread thighs, realizing how much Michael took from her, and how helpless he was in her hands. She knew he would let her kill him if she as much as asked him. He loved her so much, and she knew it, and he knew it too. He couldn’t escape his destiny, and now she realized neither could she, linked to him as she was. But he was her life, and she wouldn’t let anything keep them apart. Not even the damn alien with the big cock. Damn him! No wonder she had hated Courtney so much! Male or female Michael would be the sacrificial victim anyway.

- Alright, get over it once and for all, but I’ll be right here with you. Deal? -

- Are you serious? Maria…- Michael stared at her.

- Dead serious. It will happen anyway Michael, I know and you can’t deny it. Ok, I’ll give it to you, you may not want it now that you know who it is for sure and you know I don’t approve, but you can’t control it. - She insisted.

- Maria, I don’t want it! Ok? I don’t! - He refused.

- Ok, then fuck me, fuck me with all you have, I want you Michael, no one will ever fuck me like you do, cause I will never want anyone else! Fuck me Michael! Fuck me now! - She lay back beside him and felt his strong body covering hers and that was enough for her to almost come.

Her arms went around him and her fingers slid in his bloody back. Maria couldn’t believe what she had just done to him. What he had let her do to him. She slid her hands lower until she was cupping his ass and making sure she was right under the brands. Only one nosy alien would be allowed and it wasn’t Isabel or Max. She felt him going gently and carefully into her and her heart broke for him, how much he loved her! She could feel it in his every move, his every touch, his every kiss. No matter how much he lusted over her, he was incapable of causing her the least discomfort. He was so sweet to her! But he had also been sweet to Isabel, and to Liz, Tess didn’t count because he though she was her. He may be all macho with his girls, but never a mean macho at all, always sweet and gentle with them, that’s what made him so special! And yes, he was doing it, loving her with all he had, cause when it came to them, he didn’t fuck, he loved. Fucking was left for male partners, who would fuck him till he couldn’t move from the pain and exhaustion. That was raw sex, not just love like with them, though he did love them in his own masochistic way. He held back as long as he could and she managed to come four times before the final fifth one, along with him. He was so tired, from all the pain she had put him through before, and from holding back to give her all he could like she had asked, like he had promised he would. The aftermath was as amazing as usual and when they were coming down, he struggled not to fall asleep, but Maria’s soothing voice and hands gliding up and down his back, had him right where she wanted him, and the alien, and just where he didn’t want to be, though he knew there was no way out of it. Very slowly, coaxing and enticing, Careetay eased his way into his dreams. Maria couldn’t dream walk him, but she didn’t need to. She knew exactly what was going on, and though she kept whispering to him to just let it happen, he was reluctant because of her, and fighting it all the way.

“No, don’t! Please don’t! I don’t want to! I know…but not again! I don’t want it again! Dammit! Stop! NOOO!” Michael protested and resisted, but Maria held on to him and wouldn’t let go, helping the alien to rape him cruelly in spite of her begging him to let it happen to get it over with.
Michael didn’t understand why Maria was doing this to him. He had totally promised her he wouldn’t let it happen, and now she was holding him for Careetay to rape him! What the hell was going on? Oh yes, she was trying to wake him up so it wouldn’t happen but it wasn’t working. Actually it was working the other way round. He couldn’t wake up cause she had really tired him during their lovemaking. Had she tricked him into it? No, he couldn’t believe she would be that cruel to him. But that’s what she seemed to be doing. She was asking him to relax and just let it happen! But she had made it quite clear she didn’t approve of it and he had made it just as clear he didn’t want it, so why was she forcing him to take it?

They were all sitting watching a film and having some chips and sodas when Liz gasped aloud and sat up stiff as a board.

- What? What? - Isabel jumped in front of her and shook her by the arms.

- He’s here! The alien! Michael doesn’t want to submit but Maria is forcing him to! - Liz’s voice was strange though not the underwater kind.

If they hadn’t seen it coming out of her mouth, they wouldn’t have believed it was Liz speaking. They rushed to the room but no matter how much they tried, even Max, Liz and Serena, they couldn’t open the door. Michael’s frustrated energy was pushing against it from inside, and not even the three other aliens could cope with the strength of the Antares Royal Blood. They could hear Michael voicing his protest and his suffering and Maria telling him to take it. Liz was beside herself, how could her friend be so cruel to him? But it was Isabel who got what Maria was really trying to do.

- She wants it to be over with. She knows it will have to happen anyway so she thinks it’s better when she’s there with him. She’s trying to convince him to let it happen and be rid of him, but Michael is asleep and sure she disapproves, that’s why he’s resisting it and just hurting himself. I’m dream walking him to see how I can help him. Liz, you use your empathy not only with him but with Maria because he might block you out. He has said he can’t block me out or he won’t, but anyway I hope I can get through to him.-
Isabel lay down just outside the door, oblivious of the hard floor with just Michael in her mind.

She was in his dream, rather his nightmare, she tried to get through to the aggressive alien male but he didn’t seem to be aware of her, then she remembered he was dead, this was just his essence materialized to fulfill his last wish appropriately, and this time he knew Rath-Michael or Michael knew exactly who he was and couldn’t understand why he was resisting him. Isabel reached to Maria and like it or not, she pulled her into her dream.

“Maria! What are you doing to him? You can’t hurt him like this!” She said glaring at her in anger.

“I’m trying to let him know I approve of it so he can get over it but he’s not listening!” Maria glared back.

“Maria?...Isabel?...- Michael whimpered.

“Go to him! He can hear you now! Go!” Isabel pushed her to him.

“Michael, please! This will be the last time it happens now that you know who it is! Let it happen! That’s why I’m here with you! To get it over with!”

“No Maria! I don’t want it! I know you don’t!” Michael moaned.

“Michael it’s happening anyway! Don’t resist it! You’re just making it worse! Please Michael, I may not like it but I’m ok with it so it will stop tonight! That’s why I’m here with you! That’s why Isabel is here too! You’re hurting and we don’t want that! Please Michael!” Maria begged, her voice breaking.

“Get under…me, it might…ease the pain…some… Maria, I…didn’t…want it to…happen!” Michael said, panting.

Maria slid under him and very slowly got in the right place due to the alien’s unrelentless pounding, her lips making immediate contact with Michael’s and finally managing to get him into her as his hips now bucked to protect her from the alien’s forceful thrusts not caring about the extra pain he was taking for her sake.

“Michael, love, focus on me, forget him, it’s just us, ok?” Maria demanded.

“Ungh! Maria! I can’t! It hurts too much!” Michael hanged on to her and only concentrated in letting the shoves from the alien to get him just deep enough into her to pleasure her, and holding back the rest away from her with his body, not to damage her.

Isabel was desperately trying to summon Vilandra, so she could be on the same level with him, being dead too, to try to reason with him. After feeling drops of sweat running down her face, a weak vibe from her other self was slowly coming to the rescue. Isabel’s summon became more frantic as she saw the blood running down the inside of Michael’s thighs and with a surge of energy, they melded together. As Isabel-Vilandra approached the man to get in front of his face to make sure he could see her, he let out a cross between a scream and a roar and shuddered violently as he came into Michael, his hips locked, pressed deep into him. Isabel saw she had been too late but at least it was over, and as the man kept short-stabbing into Michael as he emptied his load, she saw Maria’s eyes roll back into her head as Michael kept coming too, as long as the man was shooting into him.

“Maria? Maria! Are you alright? What’s wrong with you? Maria!” Isabel grabbed Maria’s hair and shook her head back and forth until her eyes became normal again.

“Isabel? Oh my god! That was awesome! Michael! Michael?” She called out to him.

Michael mumbled what must have been her name but his face was against Maria’s breasts, making it hard to understand. It was then that Vilandra, who had been looking at the scene through Isabel’s eyes, recognized the alien male who was stuck to her lover. Fire flashed through the hybrid’s eyes as the true alien turned to face her enemy.

“You scum! Get away from Rath-Michael! How dare you? Get out of him!” She used Isabel’s hand to grab him by his stringy hair and shoved him back away from him. Three girls with two pairs of eyes saw the man’s gross penis pull out of Michael dripping blood and semen as his essence simply disappeared this time forever. Isabel shook Vilandra out of her head and brought them all out of the dream plane.

- MAX! - She screamed as the door flew open with her energy, now that Michael’s was dealing with the pain from the damage his body had suffered.

As they all burst into the room, the last thing Isabel had expected was their absolute silence. They were horrified by the twin rivers of blood running down Michael’s thighs, and Max automatically went to do his healing thing. Maria had Michael tight in her arms and gave no sign of letting go no matter what. When Max sat back away from Michael, and Maria guessed he had finished fixing whatever had been hurt, she was able to speak.

- He’s gone right? He won’t come back now? He’s really gone, for good? - Maria sounded close to hysterical, and Serena placed her heel of her hands pressing into her temples and her eyes rolled again back into her head. They were back right away and this time Maria sounded coherent.

- It’s over…- She sighed, and bent her head to kiss Michael’s hair.

- I hate to say this, but we barely have ten minutes to get to work. - Liz sighed.

- Maria, you can stay, I’ll cover for you. - Isabel offered.

- No Isabel, you stay with him, I have to get out and clear my head. This is just what I need. Michael doesn’t need me right now, specially after what I just did to him. He needs you and Max. I’ll be back when my shift is over. -
Maria took Liz’s hand and they walked out of the apartment to Maria’s car.

- I thought I was totally in sync with her, but I can’t understand how she could leave him after what he just endured because of her! - Isabel sounded really pissed at Maria.

- You should! That was just what Vilandra would have done. Probably left him with Zan, or Geehan, or Shenti or O’Sheeah, because she felt she had hurt him enough and he needed a break from her. If she had stayed, she would have found it necessary to try to explain her actions to him, and he would have understood her, making her angrier with herself for what she had put him through. Then she would be angry at him for understanding her instead of hating her for it, though she knew he couldn’t. An argument was the last thing he needed right now, and that’s what it would come to if she stayed, so she left, to cool down and let him do the same. You’re melding into each other, whether you want to admit it or not. Maria is turning more into Vilandra, that’s why she took the alien thing better than you did. And did just what Vilandra would have done. Good for Maria. She has done just what Michael needs. See? He’s resting, and dealing with his hurts. Maria has just proved she knows you, as Isabel, better than you do yourself. He’ll take your babying him because you had nothing to do with it, so he’s all yours. Go on, do your thing. Maria wants you to. - Serena nodded and watched as Isabel obediently went to Michael and he snuggled into her as a child.

Chapter 258

Isabel held him close against her, enjoying his warm breath on her neck where he had nuzzled his face. She could hear the faint sound of a game on the tube where the guys had kept the volume down, thanks to her threats and Jim’s authority. Serena had brought the armchair and was sprawled comfortably on it right beside the bed holding Michael’s hand that lay behind him. He seemed asleep, but…

- Izzy, he won’t come back, right? - He asked in an unusual tone of voice.

- No Michael, he won’t, just go back to sleep. You’ve been through too much in such a short time…as usual…- Isabel was worried because Michael had sounded…frightened? Michael? No way, what was it?

- How can you be sure? - He insisted in the same strange tone of voice.

- Michael, Serena said he had come for closure, and he did it, so now he’s totally dead, he won’t hurt you again. - She checked out to see Serena’s eyes were closed and gave no sign of being awake.

- I can deal with that! I don’t want him coming at you or Maria after he saw you here tonight! - So that was it! He was afraid for them, of course. - Why did he keep returning if he knew the closure thing didn’t work the first time? I’m sure he knew why too…-

- I have no idea Michael; I don’t think he was stupid so he must have had a reason. We’ll never know now that the closure was possible and he’s gone forever. We saw him turn to dust in front of our eyes, Maria and I did. - She emphasized.

- I think I know why he still kept coming back…guess sh…he was just having his fun with me, like he couldn’t get in Antar and on Earth either. - Michael scoffed.

- Bitch…or prick! He may be dead but he must sure be pissed to have his sneaky fun gone! - Isabel scoffed too.

- Iz…Jim said Max turned to dust and yet he came back…what if…- Michael wondered.

- No Michael! Max didn’t die. His essence simply switched bodies, and it took him several hours to gradually adapt the old body back chronologically to its new status, while the essence of the old man, Clayton Wheeler, automatically contaminated the young body beyond repair, and killed it. That’s why Jim said he watched Max turn into the old man right in front of his eyes and crumble into dust. Max’s alien defense mechanism must have sensed the danger and made the switch in a fraction of a second, so the real Max suffered no damage whatsoever, just left the doomed body for his protection. Jim remembered the old man jumping up from the wheelchair, pushing the discarded body away, as he ripped the oxygen tubes from his face and rushed out of the place with his wife and bodyguards. He obviously wasn’t himself anymore. The old man who became dust, never came back to life. - Serena surprised them both not even opening her eyes as she gave them the exact information of the events.

- I keep forgetting you know everything about us from everyone’s point of view. You sure have an advantage! - Isabel couldn’t help laughing. - I knew Max wasn’t dead because if he had been, I’m sure I would have felt it. I could clearly feel his essence, that’s why I kept insisting it wasn’t true, cause I knew it wasn’t, I was sure they had him with them, that they had knocked him out or something, because he was alive but unresponding. I thought they were taking him with them, that they were kidnapping him again like the FBI. That’s why we had to stop them from leaving, that’s why I kept calling to him. -

- Something doesn’t fit, Iz, Max told me he remembered being dead. - Michael said frowning.

- Michael, believe me, that’s not possible. When did he say that to you? - Serena asked.

- When I got that seal on my chest, and Max threw the glass on my face to stop me from…killing him. He said he would kill me if that’s what it would take to stop me, but to take it from him, who had been there, that I wouldn’t want it, or something like that…- Michael remembered.

- Michael, I know my brother clearly a little better than you do, and he likes to be in control and will go real dramatic to do so. - Isabel shook her head.

- He must have been going through the transition of regenerating the old body and during those hours that it took, he was probably in some inert state and he truly thought he was dead. - Serena explained.

- Just take Max to turn it into a tragic soap opera! - Isabel rolled her eyes and hollered: - MAX! -

A stampede of three rushed into the room, looking scared.

- Ok, you and Jim, tell me exactly what happened at Meta-Chem when you tried to heal the old man, and Jim, what exactly did you see. - Isabel ordered.

Serena nodded, looking serious, as she followed their versions, which coincided exactly with the one she had just given them.

- Why did you think you were dead, Max? - This would be new to Serena, she had no way of knowing it, so she had just been guessing.

Max pressed the index and middle finger of both his hands hard into his temples and shut his eyes tight, going into full concentration.

- Max! You look like you’re going to…- Isabel said between giggles.

- Isabel! Quit it! Will you? - Max protested, going red in the face with anger.

He went back to what he had been doing, and they all exchanged curious looks with Isabel and gestured for an explanation. Isabel beckoned them over to the bed and whispered:

- The last time I remember him doing that concentration crap, was to try to do a magic trick for mom and dad, and he had a…- Isabel had to cover her mouth not to distract the ready to explode Max. - a…digestive accident…-

Now they all had to muffle their laughs the best they could, Michael simply buried his face into the pillow, and Isabel into his hair, Serena into the back of the armchair she was sitting on and Jim and Kyle took off as fast as they could out of the room, laughing their heads off into the arms of the couch.
By the time they returned, Max was still in his “about to burst” mode and Isabel and Serena were waving their hands in front of their hot faces. Michael was still laughing into the pillow, and Isabel spanked him a couple of smart ones until he raised his hand begging for mercy, but kept his face in the pillow. Finally Max started talking without any kind of mishap.

- I concentrated in reversing his age and it seemed to be working but then something popped in my head and I was sucked into this…nothingness… like I was just floating in space, there was nothing around me and the only thing I could feel was such an acute anxiety…I couldn’t feel my body, I couldn’t move at all, I was completely paralyzed, I couldn’t even tell if my eyes were open or not, cause I couldn’t move my eyelids either. I just felt nothing but a total emptiness that scared me to…death, yes, I was sure it was death I was going through. I knew I was dead and I felt so helpless, desperate not to be able to do anything about it, or understand what was going on. I was going out of my mind, I knew I was crying, but couldn’t feel myself doing it either. You can’t imagine how bad I felt! It was so frustrating! Even worse than the white room, cause I had no idea what to expect or if it was ever going to stop! Who was doing it, why didn’t they at least show themselves? I wanted answers and it was useless. I was all alone. I think that was the worst! - Max looked really distraught, and Serena could see very clearly the insecure Zan she was more familiar with, Vilandra, always making fun of her brother, knowing she could handle him, and Rath-Michael not giving a damn about anything and getting away with everything. Their original essences were so strong, that they were evident in their clones as the exact duplicates that they were. They couldn’t escape their destinies, Serena thought, sadly, but with what they already knew, and her help, they might change it around for the best.

- Relax, you didn’t die, Max, during the hours it took you to go through the transition of regenerating the old body to fit your new needs, you went into an inert state to be able to achieve it with your full faculties without any interference, that was all, of course, you must have felt dead because of the total lack of mobility you were rendered in. - Serena calmed him down.

- Then why did Michael get the seal? - Max asked, perplexed.

- In Antar, if you were away or for any reason unable to be reached to take an important decision, Rath-Michael immediately received the seal in his body to go through the positive scan and do it himself. It was no big deal, just a momentary change of authority. When you came back, or were out of your…sorry, but I have to be blunt…tantrum, you only had to place your hand over the seal, like your instincts made you do, and within a few seconds, it would release itself from Rath-Michael and return to you. That was all. - Serena waited for the expected outburst.

- You stupid idiot! You didn’t have to force it out of him! Couldn’t you just wait? - Isabel exploded.

- I didn’t know how it was done! And he wasn’t willing to give it back! Ask him! He was drunk with power! - Max shouted back, red in the face.

- Well, neither of you knew the mechanics, as you did in Antar, but it would have gone back to you anyway, because you are still the crowned king. The release was automatic; it didn’t depend on Michael at all. He would have immediately gone back to normal the second the seal left his body, but by demanding it in an aggressive way, you activated in the seal a negative reaction to Michael’s reluctance, and it burst out of him forcefully. I’m not blaming anyone because neither of you knew about it. Nasedo’s stunt created a rebellious situation to be triggered in Michael by the possession of the seal, which Nasedo knew would eventually happen, as he had witnessed the conflicts between you from not having had the bonding ritual. This was to his advantage so he wasn’t letting you in on it. Without Nasedo’s tampering, Michael would have just been surprised and asked you what the hell it was and you would have instinctively got it back until the issues were explained to you. What Nasedo really wanted was Michael killed, so Khivar could get rid of the Royal Blood, but he knew you were no match for Michael, so he added an element of confusion to make sure you would prevail, which from what I’ve seen, you barely did, thanks to the glass pane. Anyway, if Michael had killed you, he would have been so out of control, that he would have ended in the FBI lab in just a matter of weeks at the most. Khivar also wanted “Zan” dead, but it would have been a bonus to Nasedo to give Khivar the public beheading he wanted so badly to gloat on. “Vilandra” would be hanged, not to change their destiny thing and put a jinx on his plans. As much as he itched to have Rath-Michael impaled, he had it done by Nicholas on Earth. He knew what the true Antares Royal Blood meant to all the inhabitants of the planets, deep inside, and Rath-Michael’s public execution would have put them all against him, because of the sacrilege it implied. It all backfired when Careetay killed Nasedo. I know you’ve had the worst impression of him, but he wasn’t a bad person. As a spy, he had to be very discreet and had sacrificed his freedom as an entity, for his people. He is considered a martyr in his own way too. I can’t blame him for drooling after Rath-Michael. Who didn’t in Antar? Sorry, but that’s reality. I lived in their time, I should know. - Serena gave a wistful smile.

- Don’t let that go to your head! You hear? - Isabel laughingly shook Michael who was still lying in her arms.

- Mmm? - Was all his answer, fast asleep and oblivious of what they had been saying about him.

They all shared a good natured laugh, and Serena said she would fill him in later, on what was necessary.

- Don’t boost him up, please! He’s a handful just like he is! - Max laughed, feeling somewhat relieved that Michael’s hideous scar hadn’t been his fault after all.

- He was cocky and arrogant with very good reasons in Antar, but never to the extent of making a fool of himself or of being disrespectful to anyone. Here, though he’s never had any reasons, quite the contrary, yet he’s cocky and arrogant just the same, cause that’s him, he doesn’t care what people say of him or do to him, deep inside he knows who and what he is. That is why the attitude he’s received from those around him has always hurt him so deeply, because he knew he didn’t deserve it, even if and when he seemed to. It’s been specially hard for him, life here on Earth. At least in Antar he knew why things happened to him, here he didn’t, it made no sense, and it was so hard to understand. He’s been used to suffer in silence and protect those he loves even if they insult his sensitivity because of their lack of understanding. Nothing can change the way he feels about them or the fact that he would give his life for any of them. Your whole story is circulating in the whole constellation, among the ones faithful to the true Royals, I gave it to my sister at our meeting. Michael is becoming there the living legend of their martyr warrior and they can’t wait to have him back to lead them to freedom as only he can. Now that I’m sure of its acceptance, I will keep in constant touch with her through the Granilith, when you get me there. I’ll get back my link to be able to contact it from anywhere anytime, as it was meant when I was sent here. - Serena looked very satisfied.

- Maybe you should come to live here in Roswell. - Liz’s voice took them all by surprise.

She and Maria were sitting side by side quietly and undiscovered against the wall just inside the bedroom.

- Shit Liz! When did you arrive? - Exclaimed Kyle with his hand pressed to his chest.

- Right after you and your dad came in here wiping tears from your eyes. We thought you were crying, and we came in, shocked into silence, expecting the worst, to find out you were laughing apparently at Max, who seemed ready to take off into outer space by sheer mental propulsion. - Liz was interrupted by a fresh bout of laughter which neither Liz nor Maria, Max included by his baffled expression, seemed to understand. Michael was just sleeping it off, so he was absolutely out of the picture.

- Sorry, sorry, you’ll soon find out. - Isabel said wiping tears of laughter and fighting for control. - That would be a great idea, but you’ve just gone back to your beautiful place…no, your link would be enough, you wouldn’t like it here anyway, it’s just a dull place, believe me, if you’re not an alien. Then, it’s frustrating! It would just be great to have you near, but it’s not fair to you. -

- I agree on the fact we should be near, who knows? It might happen sooner than you think. You’re graduating in what? About a couple of weeks? Tucson could be an option, Phoenix better still, and it’s not that far. You know Laurie would love to have you with her. - Serena observed.

- Michael doesn’t want to put her in danger. - Maria reminded her.

- I know, but there are several options to go through. We’ll see…time will tell. - Serena smiled knowingly and beckoned to Liz. - Our conversation is overdue! Remember? Isabel, you brief Maria and Kyle and Jim of what they missed, oh, and Max! -

An involuntary giggle was exchanged, resulting on having the curiosity of the ones ignorant of the whole facts, piqued to the extent that Serena rushed Liz out to the couch to have their own briefing and private talk. They sat down and Serena took Liz’s hands, getting in sync with Isabel.

- Let me brief you at the same time to get poor Max off the hook as soon as possible…- Serena closed her eyes so Liz barely had time to give her a questioning look before her own eyes closed by themselves.

By the time they reached the Max incident, Maria and Liz exploded in laughter simultaneously, and the connection was momentarily interrupted as Jim and Kyle joined in the mirth, knowing what it was about. Max rushed out of the bedroom to glare at Liz, his face bordering a plum coloured hue, before Isabel screamed him back into the bedroom. Serena waited for the laughter to die down in both rooms, and resumed the communion. Once over, they started talking on the subject of Liz’s powers. Liz reminded Serena that Kal Langley had told them their powers would activate automatically to their maximum on the trip to Antar. Serena smiled and patiently explained to Liz this was one option which Kal had taken for granted, but there were others. She could help her develop hers first because of the chronological order, then Kyle’s and lastly Jim’s. What Michael was entitled to give them, would have to wait for the real trip, cause they couldn’t be activated here on Earth. So back to her, her empathy, it was now extending to known people, but that meant that she would soon start getting it from everyone she touched, regardless, making her very uneasy about things that would sometimes be out of her hands to help or make right, so she needed a psychological tuning or she would freak out completely. Much like Max had when he hadn’t been able to heal all the kids at the Phoenix hospital, and, as Max had told them, Michael had also confessed his frustration at not having Max’s ability to help him with the rest that they had no time to get to. It was definitely frustrating! And Serena could tell how sensitive Liz was, so no wonder she had received empathic powers. Serena noticed the funny way Liz had started looking at her.

- What? - She smiled, thinking how she was beginning to sound like these youngsters, and then she worried noticing Liz had paled.

- I was remembering the “Future Max” incident, that we came to the conclusion that it had been triggered by Tess to get Max back through me. Yet the part of Isabel dying two weeks before and Michael dying in his arms right before he came to me were true. So was the fact that I would meet you and become great friends. I’m so glad that part was true too. -

- So am I Liz, I just hope you’re not disappointed because I didn’t turn out to be someone nearer your age. - Serena said.

- But the day we met you, you said friendship knew no age. And you know Maria! She’s my best friend, but I don’t know how she had coped if you had turned about our age! - Liz giggled imagining Maria having a “Maria” thing.

- Well, things happen for a reason, so now we are going to concentrate full in your growing powers and boost them up with me everyday. - Serena assured her.

- But aren’t you going back to Tucson right away after you get your link from the Granilith? - Liz whined with disappointment.

- That’s what the link is for! You’ll just need some time to yourself any time you can, and Maria won’t feel left out because I won’t be here physically! One more thing, Liz, it’s very important that until I tell you so, we keep this between ourselves, please? You’ll understand my reasons in due time. Promise me, and the hardest part: keep it away from Michael too. He’ll be having a specially frustrating period, though short lived, I don’t want this to influence him and change the course of things. -

- Serena, is he going to be hurt again? - Liz looked dismayed.

- Not physically, no, but where it hurts him worse, I’m sorry, that’s all I can say. It will turn out well, trust me. - Serena covered her face in her hands.
- I can’t jump ahead cause the consequences would take a turn for the worse. You’ll have to trust me. Promise you will. -

- I will, you can trust me too, this will just stay between you and me. -

Chapter 259

- I think we should join them, Isabel has already briefed them too. - Serena suggested.

- Just another thing, the future Max issues reminded me of something that keeps nagging at me, we’ve discussed it before but I haven’t reached a real closure...Serena, sorry to bring it up again, but I still have doubts. Is it true that Max was not mind warped by Tess when they were together? Can you assure me I’m right about this? - Liz pleaded.

- Liz, you know Tess could only hold her mindwarp for a limited time, and they were together, what? All night? Does that answer your question? - Serena gave Liz a sad look. - I’m sorry, but this wonderful new family that you young people have formed will remain together and in perfect harmony by the truth. -

- Serena you just asked me to keep what we’re about to do with my new powers, away from them...- Liz arched her eyebrows emphatically.

- We’re not lying to them Liz, we will just wait for the appropriate moment to let them know of your progress, not to add to their confusion, because Kyle is the next in line, and though he doesn’t show it, I’m sure you’ve already caught his anxiety on the matter, Jim tries to be quite stoic, mostly because Kyle is his son, and he will get there sooner, but he’ll eventually get there too with the advantage of the previous double experience we will already have when it comes to him. - Serena smiled kindly.

- It will be very hard to keep it away from Michael with our empathy, why him? - Liz wondered.

- I want him on a clear mind to deal with what’s coming to him. He doesn’t need the extra worry, and you know how he feels about you. - Serena reminded her.

- Yes, you’re right, what are they up to in there? - Liz smiled weakly, changing the subject, willing to move on.

- They’ve been going over the latest issues that have been disclosed, and we need to be there for what Max is bringing out right now. - She grabbed Liz’s hand and rushed to the bedroom.

As they stepped into the room, they watched Max turn towards the bed in a rather aggressive way and face Isabel, leaving the other three humans still going over some points. He wasn’t aware that Serena and Liz had just entered the room, or that Kyle, Jim and Maria had fallen silent wondering what he was up to, he was totally focused in his issues with his sister.

- Why did you have to bring that up? Don’t you think it was embarrassing enough then, when I was a kid? - He hovered over Michael who was still asleep and mostly over her, his hands gesticulating wildly.

- Cut out the dramatics, Max, if it had happened to me, you would have brought it up every time I came home with my friends. You know you would’ve, something I never did...oh! You had no friends to bring home! Just Michael! And he just found out, so you can see I can keep my mouth shut when it comes to it! - She scoffed, her eyes flashing in anger.

- Well, you opened it real wide now! Everyone’s laughing at me, even Liz! - He hissed.

- To be honest, Mom and Dad laughed at least once a day for months after the stupid incident and still do when they rarely remember it! It was a family kind of joke, and that’s what we all have become, right? A family! That’s why I shared it with them! Grow up, Max! - She snapped, angrily.

- I would zap you right here if you weren’t hiding behind Michael...- He spat.

- I’m not hiding behind Michael, I happen to be under him, and I’m the one who will do the zapping if you don’t stop yelling at me! - Isabel raised her hand over Michael’s ribs.

- Don’t you dare do it! You zap me and I’ll zap him. – Max aimed his hand at the innocently unaware Michael.

- Of course, take it out on him as usual! He always deserves it, right? He’s the perfect scapegoat of “his unfair majesty”! You touch him and I’ll zap your stupid ears into pretzels! - Isabel’s face was becoming as red as Max’s.

Serena thought it was enough, specially seeing the humans’, at first amused faces, change into concerned ones.

- Alright! Alright! No need to go on the warpath for such a simple matter when we have much more important things to be ready for! You have to start thinking what you’ll do with your lives now that you’re practically out of school, and as I have just told Liz, you have become a family, and if you want it to work that way, you must get along on all fields. Instead of fighting with your sister, you should be ready to support her on the delicate matter of her husband. I’m sorry, Isabel, but he’ll be back tomorrow right after midday. – Serena watched the colour drain from the alien girl’s face.

Isabel had been enjoying another “holiday” with Jesse away on another of his business trips.

- Ok, I really want that over with. What should I do? Maria? - She whined.

Maria rushed over guessing what it was about and knowing what to do.

- Yes Isabel, I want my Spaceboy back. - She smiled fondly at Isabel.

She leaned over and with perfect sync, they both crooned:

- Michael...bathroom baby, please? -

Michael moaned and rolled to his side letting Isabel up and back on the bed. Isabel sat on the empty armchair where Serena had been dozing and covered her face with her hands. They all surrounded her hoping their energy would help her find the best solution. They had no way of measuring her anxiety but it must have reached a peak, when Michael tossed on the bed and called her name aloud. His eyes opened to find her gone and he called out again, turning his face to find her hands off her face and her eyes focused on him. Michael’s eyes flashed with Gandarium and Isabel’s went completely black, like when she confronted Khivar. The look that crossed between them spoke a thousand words, and everyone was shaken by the implication, specially Maria, who could guess exactly what their eyes were saying.

“I should have followed my destiny and married you like it was written in the stars, like it would have been in Antar!” Said Isabel’s.

“I’m here for you, I’ve never stopped loving you, I’ll do anything to make you happy!” Said Michael’s.

Maria felt her body reach freezing point, she couldn’t move, she could hardly breathe, but then, being the one closest to the bed, she felt Michael’s hand close over hers on the floor. She felt his energy flow up her arm and she knew, beyond doubt, that Michael loved her as much as Rath-Michael loved Vilandra, because it had really been them, whom they had just seen.

- No Isabel, I don’t want you to have to face him, I will, I’m sure I can get him to see reason. - Michael smirked.

- Are you out of your mind? Don’t you remember your tryst in the dream world with him? Is that what you want? How you can be so hungry for pain is beyond me! - Isabel sobbed as Michael and Maria, to everyone’s surprised rushed to her side.

Michael buried his face in her lap, dropping on his knees in front of her, and Maria leant over the arm of the easychair and hugged her shoulders pressing their cheeks together.

The others stood by, speechless, watching these three persons who were closer than one single being, in body and soul.

- It’s not like that Isabel. If someone must be hurt and the choice is between you and me, I won’t let it be you, or you Maria, it would just kill me. I’d rather die before I let anyone I consider part of my family come to harm! -
Michael’s protective instincts were charged to the top.

Serena went to him and placed her hand on his hair, and said soothingly:

- It doesn’t need to come to that, Michael, I will be connected to Isabel and guide her along to make sure everything turns out the best way possible. Tomorrow’s Monday and you will be busy at school so Isabel and Jim will take me to the Granilith. I don’t know when Derek will be picking me up at the airfield, but it will probably be in the afternoon so I still might be able to say goodbye to all of you. - Serena told them.

- Do you think you can convince Uncle Derek to stay overnight so we can introduce you to my parents and have a small dinner party over with them? Please Serena…you can stay at our guest room, you’ll also meet Jesse so you can form an opinion of him and know what to expect. - Isabel pleaded and they all joined in, thinking it was a great idea.

- I’ll call Derek and pass the invitation. I’m sure he’ll accept, but I feel bad to give you such trouble. - Serena smiled, very pleased.

- Oh, no problem, now that my parents know our status, we’ll use our powers to help them. Liz’s parents and Maria’s mother are still unaware of what we are, so we won’t be able to have them along yet. It will be great! -
Isabel beamed, forgetting her confrontation with Jesse which would be delayed to the next day.

- Ok, tomorrow’s still a schoolday so, Kyle, we’re out of here! - Jim gestured with his head towards the door and tipped his hat to the rest.

- Don’t forget dinner tomorrow, at our place. - Said Max.

- Shit! I have to go, Mom’s having some kind of middleage crisis or whatever and she’s quite bitchy right now, so…Spaceboy…I have to go. -
She crouched by Michael who was lying on his side on the floor and kissed him until she was ready to come. She got up, sighing, and he crawled back to his bed. She went back to him and hugged him from behind, burying her face in his hair.

- I love you, Michael. - She whispered. - I love the way you feel for every one of us. The way you give yourself to us, specially in sex. I love to feel you coming inside me when someone else is coming inside you. The way you move when you are being pleased both ways. The way you give and the way you receive. I love both the warrior and the martyr. There’s no one like you Michael, no one. - Her hands were roaming all over his body as she spoke, and he writhed back against her. Then she pushed away from him scoffing in frustration, and kissing the small of his back, she left him shuddering and panting on the bed as she ran out to her car.

Jim and Kyle were waiting for her and escorted her all the way home. Amy came out and had them all inside for her special coconut pie, Jim’s favourite. As the older ones ate and flirted, Maria and Kyle sat on the couch with their eyes focused on the TV screen. They couldn’t have told what it was showing if their lives had depended on it.

- Maria…- Kyle spoke with his eyes still looking straight ahead, afraid to face her during his confession. - What you said…what you told Michael, it was so deep…so true. I don’t care if I never get a girl, because after him, I don’t think anyone else could satisfy me. And I know I’m not gay! -

- I know, Kyle. - Maria told him without looking at him either.

Chapter 260

- Isabel we can move the couch here in a second…- Serena offered.

- No, it’s ok, take the armchair, I want to be closer to him. - Isabel waved Michael’s bed a little wider so she could fit comfortably.

Michael was stretching and slithering all over the bed and Isabel was trying hard to push away from her mind the ideas he was giving her. Michael finally gave one last snuggle and pushed his hips a little off the bed on his knees to adjust his genitals comfortably and Serena knew what it had taken Isabel not to pounce on him. He relaxed facing their way and Isabel walked up to the wider bed and lay behind him, spooning into him and holding him against her. He sighed and whispered her name, and pressed his ass into her lap. He purred as Isabel’s hand slid down his thigh and up again and both women knew he was fast asleep.

- You can’t fight it, dear, you’re meant to be with Rath-Michael as Maria is meant to be with Michael, and you know he’s both, he can’t help it either. - Serena smiled at the looks Isabel was giving the clueless sleepy boy on the bed.

- No, Serena, it would spoil my friendship with Maria, which has been going great so far, jealousy would tear us apart! - Isabel whispered.

- I don’t see it doing that at all so far, and you’ve had some fun with him together. It’s only got you closer, as the brands you’ve put on him. -

Serena knew what she was talking about. She had seen the girls’ vibes merge when they were together with him, jealousy the last thing on their minds, at least that way. They both thought it was the other one that had more reasons to be jealous and that made them very understanding to each other.

- Maria wishes she were Vilandra in Antar, and you wish you were Maria here on Earth. I’m alien too, remember? - Serena continued.

- Serena…I love Stuart…- Isabel whined, trying to convince herself.

- Of course you do, because he saved Michael’s life, because he has eased his pain and suffering several times, because he lusts after him and it turns you on to watch them having sex. Don’t look shocked because you aren’t, you’re alien too. You’ve been exposed to that kind of lust in your previous life, so after the initial surprise, you’ve just taken it for granted. So has Maria, being human, and that’s a lot to say! Liz was one hell of a surprise, believe me, and yet, she had no problems and still doesn’t, not even Laurie. You’re very lucky; you can keep your true love and share the doctor’s at the same time. Think about it…they’ll all be jealous of you, eventually. - Serena chuckled, amused at Isabel’s smug expression.

- But Maria…- She frowned.

- You’ll be great together, sooner than you expect. You’ll be terribly jealous of the others, but you’ll share him with them, nonetheless. You’ll see…- Serena gave her this secret wicked smile.

- What about Liz? She and Maria are best friends. She’ll feel left out…-

- She’s feeling the same about Maria, now that we’ll be getting very close to guide her along with her changes. And Maria is feeling just that about Liz, now that she feels that closeness to you because of Michael. So as you can see, once the whole thing comes out into the open, all those issues will cease to be a problem and simply disappear. But there are other problems that will start coming out of nowhere and will take up all your time before all the pieces fall into their right places. We’ll take one at a time, and the one that’s right in front of our eyes right now, is your husband. So we have to concentrate on that.

- Right…Jesse…- Isabel frowned again, and her anguish was immediately felt by Michael because of their tight contact, making him wince.

Serena saw it, but Isabel didn’t need to do so to sense it. Michael had one arm stretched above his head, resting his cheek on it so Isabel could be as close to him as possible. He got it down to join his other arm clutching his lower stomach, as if a knife had been stabbed into his gut and was ripping him to shreds.

- Michael? - Isabel was very concern when he just moaned for an answer.

- He hurts for you, Isabel, he feels your anxiety and it causes him physical pain. We hadn’t realized how sensitive to your feelings he’s been left after experiencing his undying love for Vilandra in Antar. - Serena’s voice was full of pity.

- I don’t want him to…Michael, please don’t…- She sobbed.

- Just relax, Isabel, forget about Jesse and focus on him, send him your love and your trust that I will make sure it will all be fine. Believe me, Jesse is not worth it. -

Serena went over to her and placed her hands on her temples and Jesse ceased to be a problem, he was just a stone in her way, small enough for her to pick up and either toss away of just place it aside. She suddenly realized what she had to do and knew exactly how to play her cards. She would leave it for the last moment when she wouldn’t be alone and Jesse would have nothing to do about her final decision. Why hadn’t she thought about it before? Obviously Serena had done so for her and now she had given her the solution to her problem. Isabel followed her advice and relaxed, feeling Michael’s body do so too. He took a deep breath and sighed as he let it out. She knew he was asleep and decided to carry on an experiment, based on what Serena had been telling her. She dream walked Maria. She found the human girl asleep with a book lying forgotten on her lap as she reclined on her pillow, one arm was flexed over her head and the other lay beside her on the bed, palm up. Isabel smiled and placed her palm on Maria’s, reaching up to take her other hand. Maria’s eyes opened and knew immediately what was going on. She smiled back at Isabel and sat up on her bed.

“Where do you want to go, Maria? What would you really want to see? Anything! Just ask!”

“Antar! Take me to Antar!” She squeezed Isabel’s hands eagerly.

“Do you want Michael along?” Isabel coaxed.

“Do you?” Maria giggled and Isabel nodded, giggling too.

“Come with me, let’s go get him.”

And there they were, in his bedroom, watching him sleep. They each grabbed one of his hands and were sucked into his dream. He was lying on the ledge just outside the pod chamber, watching the desert below. They were standing on either side of him, and each put a foot on one of his thighs.

“Come on, Michael, this is boring!”

“Right, Spaceboy, come with us!”

“Where are you going to take me? What are you going to do to me?” He chuckled without turning.

“Make a wish…where do you want to go?” From Isabel.

“What do you want us to do to you?” From Maria.

“Antar! I want you both with me at the lakes!” He was smiling in that rare, beautiful way.

His eyes focused on both of them at the same time, like those paintings whose eyes follow you everywhere, no matter how you move around the room. It was uncanny and definitely alien.

“Granted!” Yelled Isabel and they…well, the word “landed” didn’t quite describe it.

Michael was barely submerged in the soft crystalline stuff, a little thick to be called water, his face held back, out of it, as Maria and Isabel sat by him, one to his right and the other one to his left, with the squishy goo covering their legs, giggling like crazy as Michael growled, enjoying it, nonetheless.
Then Michael, regardless of what would happen, raised both arms and his hands pushed their shoulders back so they all went under. They were really lying by the shore, so the girls sat back up spluttering as Michael pushed his upper body up on his forearms, shaking his head. Maria reached up and passed her hand over her hair, unable to believe it actually felt dry.

“If I’m naked so should you!” Said Michael and waved their clothes off.

“Michael!” Both girls went together.

“What? It’s your dream, and I don’t think anyone else is invited, right?”

Maria and Isabel shook their heads no.

“Well, I’m here for you…what are you waiting for?” He looked at them over his shoulder in a sexy smirk.

Maria and Isabel looked at each other, not sure how to start.

“We’re in Antar, Isabel, you go first.” Maria nodded so Isabel nodded back.

She went to Michael and whacked him on the ass.

“Up on your knees!” She ordered.

Michael raised his ass off the goop as he crawled forwards just enough so his face was out of it, on the soft shore. Isabel slid under him and felt him quite ready for her. Maria knelt between his legs and proceeded to stimulate him first with her hands, and then, a little doubtfully with her mouth, not very convinced about how the Antares “water” might taste like. She was pleasantly surprised to find it slightly sweet and with an also slight tang, that reminded her very much of Ginger Ale. She trailed her tongue all the way up his spine and back down to its lowest point without interfeering with Michael’s movements as he had sex with Isabel. Then she just knelt there watching him, very aroused, and wishing she could do something about it. That’s when it hit her…it was her dream too, right? So she could be and do whatever she felt like, because it was all in her mind, and the dreamworld, as far as she knew, had no limits. She concentrated with all she had on her female counterpart of the male organ, her clitoris, and felt it bloating and tingling in a very provocative way. She felt it nestling high up between Michael’s thighs, and she didn’t need to look down to see what it had turned into. She heard Michael purr at the contact and grind into her when he pulled back from Isabel, to push back in again. Her next step was to slick it up and the goop seemed to be a perfect choice by the slippery way it felt. So when Michael pressed again into her, he knew what to expect, and being a dream, he asked no questions and took it for granted. He expertly eased Maria into him and moaned in pleasure. Without opening her eyes, Maria sensed Isabel staring at her. She did, anyway and found the alien girl’s eyes meeting hers, over Michael’s shoulder and twinkling with mirth, her lips curved in a knowing smile.

“You’re inside him!” Isabel beamed.

“How do you know?” Maria teased.

“He’s moving like when he’s full, how did you do it?” Isabel whispered.

“Well, since we’re just dreaming it, I decided I wanted to give him a male service while you guys were doing it, cause it was the only way not to be left out.” Maria smiled, very smug.

“And why didn’t I think of that before?” Isabel berated herself jokingly.

“You’ll get your turn, enjoy!” Maria said pushing deep into Michael.

Isabel watched him half wince, half smile, and bite his lip as he whimpered.
Maria couldn’t believe what she was feeling through that extension of her body; it was as if her whole body was being tickled at the same time! The vibes travelling up all the way to her brain were electrifying; no wonder guys were totally addicted to sex! She couldn’t wait to come, to see how it would feel!

“Maria, you forgot something…” Michael whispered. “I can’t feel any balls.”

“Why should I want balls? I have what goes inside, that’s enough for me.”

“What will you shoot into me when you come?” He gasped as she shoved.

“Oh shit! You’re right! Balls then!” And she made them happen too.

The pleasure easily jumped up a couple of notches and Maria went for Michael’s prostate. He writhed on the way back, to the position which got her right there, and squeezed it out of her seconds after he came with Isabel. Maria felt every cell of her body pouring out of her into Michael. This was awesome! Isabel was going to be hooked just like she was! She was sure this game would become their favourite from now on. Liz must be absolutely freaking out! And then she was shaken by an unexpected and complete sense of emptiness when she felt it slipping out of Michael’s warmth, as it grew soft.

“Oh no, this shouldn’t happen!” Maria thought.

She felt very disappointed, wanting to stay inside him as long as she felt like it, and for the first time in her life, she understood what being a guy was like.

Isabel’s hands pushing her away from Michael brought her out of her frustrating thoughts, demanding her turn at the hallucinating experience she couldn’t wait to go through too. The aftermath was pushed away by the new actions, as Maria got under Michael and started kissing him and rubbing herself against him. She could feel him getting ready for her and realized her male apendages were gone. She nipped at his nipples and made him gasp as he then attacked her breast with his usual gentleness, feeling every feathery touch where her “penis” had been.

“Maria, how did you do it?” Isabel was trying hard but apparently it wasn’t working.

“Ok, this is what you have to do…” And Maria guided her through the steps she had taken and giggled too, when Isabel giggled in triumph. Michael started carefully entering Maria as Isabel prodded him not too gently in her haste.

“Hurts Iz…” Michael groaned and both girls realized their mistake.

“Uh oh, you have to lube it up…sorry.” Maria apologized, frowning at her oversight.

“Of course! I totally forgot, sorry Michael…” Isabel sighed, and rubbed Michael’s ass, her own apology for her thoughtless omission.

“Oh well, let’s see what this is like. Of course Maria, being just human, thought it was the utmost, but then the closest to an alien orgasm she has got to, is whatever Michael gives her, but it’s not her own. I know what it’s like, so this will probably be very much like it.” Isabel thought as she got ready to do it herself.

But the second she started pushing into Michael, Isabel knew how wrong she had been and how right Maria was! The way Michael’s tight warmth encased her, made her shiver and crave to be deep inside him. It was amazing, no, awesome, no, there was no way to describe it! As she slid in and out of him, it felt like statics, tickling her whole length, and only sheathing it back into him stopped the itching to bring it back again worse that before. And by the way he backed hard when she thrust, she knew he was getting just as much pleasure as she was. The tightness of the encasement made her tingle all over, as if her whole body and mind had been compacted into that part that ironically, she had just created for this occasion, like she was all inside him and she felt he was receiving her into him with all his love. His moans, gasps and grunts told her what she was doing to him, and then he positioned his body so that she pressed against this place inside him that made him shudder and whimper. She kept ramming into it as he bucked to make it happen and she knew that if he kept squeezing her the way he was, she would soon lose it. She wanted to lose it, and she could feel he was almost there too. He pushed into Maria grasping Isabel hard to the last inch that stayed inside him, and then shoved back hard, forcing it all back in. Then Maria started coming and squeezed it out of him. Michael stayed deep inside her as he shot his load shuddering with pleasure as Isabel filled him all the way in, also shooting into him. Michael was panting, breathless with the amount of pleasure he was getting fore and aft, Isabel’s hands were spreading him, getting deeper than was possible sending her trembling to the very tip, giving him an extra nudge that had him almost passing out. The way Maria’s inner walls were caressing his cock was just what his burning insides were doing for Isabel, sending the threesome into an aftermath like none they had experienced before, being a double one, as the one they had not allowed caught up with this one. They carefully rolled on their sides to stay as deeply connected throughtout it, holding close to one another, Michael nuzzling Maria’s breasts as Isabel nuzzled his hair and her nails gently raked his shoulders and ribs along his sides.

“Michael…” Both girls whispered together, making him smile and growl, his vibrations carrying on to the girls’ bodies.

Somehow, Maria heard her name in the growl, and Isabel heard hears, and Michael thanked his alien powers.
He fell asleep feeling the two girls completely dedicated to him. During the rest of the night, they went through the re-enactment of their new discovery twice again, and Serena was awakened each time by their sounds of pleasure.

Serena chuckled, sensing what was going on and admiring Maria’s ingenuity at pleasuring Michael and Isabel’s recognition confirmed that the two girls were accepting their mutual roles as Michael’s mates.

Chapter 261

Michael’s alarm clock had Serena sitting up and turning to see both Maria and Isabel struggling to get off from under Michael. She saw the girls had ended on their backs side by side close together as Michael lay over half of each one. His right thigh was wedged between Isabel’s legs and his left between Maria’s as both his arms held their waists protectively to him. His face was nuzzled into Maria’s neck, but Serena remembered the last time she had checked on them had him nuzzling on Isabel’s neck. So they were really sharing him! She smiled, and went over to give them a hand. She placed her hands between Michael’s shoulder blades and on the small of his back and managed to levitate him just a tad and long enough for them to squirm away. She eased him back down and he sighed and snuggled, wincing at the loss of their warmth. She noticed the girls were kind of embarrassed, not looking at each other but at their hands.

- What is it with you? - She asked, perplexed. - You seemed to enjoy your double dream all through the night, so what’s up now? -

- It’s just that…- Isabel began.

- I don’t know if…- Maria went on.

- Mmm…Maria, are you ok with it? - Isabel said, quite unsure of the other girl’s reaction.

- I’m sorry, Isabel…are you? - Maria said, barely audible.

Then they turned to each other and were lost in a tight hug.

Serena felt a complete satisfaction to see the close interaction between the two girls whose lives had been so unusually linked to this special boy she loved dearly and who loved them all so much. He was in such a difficult position, having to juggle all their feelings towards him without having anyone feel left out. He didn’t want to let anyone down, knowing how much of him he could give since he could easily please two of them at the same time, and he was so glad for Maria’s comprehension and support which made him love her even more than she knew he did. He hadn’t expected that from her, it had been such a pleasant surprise, after all the jealousy and misunderstandings they had had at the beginning. Serena realized she was scanning his feelings without meaning to, and let go, she hadn’t meant to pry on his mind. Michael squirmed and groaned in his sleep and the girls rushed over to him.

- Hey Spaceboy! We have to go to school! - Maria’s nails went to tickle the inside of his thighs, knowing what that did to him.

- You’re going to turn him on! - Isabel giggled as Maria pulled her hand away, heeding her warning.

- Shit! You’re right! - Maria giggled too.

- I’m afraid right now, anywhere we touch him will have that same effect. - Isabel observed.

- Then how can we wake him up without touching him…- Maria frowned, then she smiled and took off from the room.

- I guess she found a way. - Serena said and watched Isabel’s eyebrows arch in curiosity.

Maria returned with a mug of floating marshmallows and the smell told them it was cocoa. She placed it under Isabel’s hand and asked:

- Just heat it enough to melt them, this’ll do the trick, you’ll see! -

Isabel complied and Maria pushed her finger into the warm treat getting a melting marshmallow stuck on it. She gently pushed it between Michael’s parted lips and he sucked greedily on it. She pulled her finger away to repeat the procedure and Isabel had her own finger ready.

- May I until you get one back? - She wondered.

- Sure, go for it! - Maria smiled watching Michael suck at Isabel’s finger.

She did it again and after Isabel went for it a second time, she just held back. Michael winced and moaned begging for more but none came.

- Open your eyes, baby, and I’ll feed you anything you want…- Enticed Maria.

- C’mon baby boy, you want it, right? You’re always hungry when you wake up…- Coaxed Isabel.

Maria gave him a whiff directly from the mug and Michael licked his lips.

- Please…- He begged, eyes still closed but lashes slowly parting.

- Michael…- Crooned Maria and Isabel together, and his eyes opened wide with the dream clear in his mind.

They were crouching there in front of him smiling, with a mug of his favourite breakfast. He stared at them, eyebrows knitting together, not sure of what to expect from them. But they kept on smiling and reassuring him.

- Is that really for me? - He asked with a shy candour as he rolled on his side to enable him to drink.

- Yes baby, we need to get you ready for school. - Maria ran her fingers through his unruly hair.

- Shit! I don’t know if I can make it! You girls really worked me out last night and I’m sore…honest! - He winced to convince them.

- You can lie on the back seat as I drive you over and Max can give you a quick healing in the bathroom. C’mon, I need you there with me, please? - She whined in that way he couldn’t resist.

- Ok, what about you? - He sighed in defeat and looked at Isabel and Serena.

- Jim’s picking us up to take us to the Pod Chamber. - Isabel caressed his hair just like Maria had. - You’ll be fine. We’ll meet here after school. -

- And Jesse? - Michael asked frowning.

- My last decision holds. I’ll just play him along until the last minute, when he won’t be able to do anything, because you’ll all be there with me, and I’ll convince him it’s for our own good. I can’t think of a better one. I know it will work. - Isabel nodded with emphasis, and Michael had to go along with her and trust her.

- Alright, I don’t want you to have to face him alone with those issues. - He smirked, glad to be able to skip that problem for the time being.

- Ok, up you go. - Maria said as she received the empty mug from his hand.

Michael pushed up slowly and headed for the bathroom with Maria’s arm around his waist and his arm around her shoulders.

- Do you think we overdid it? Did we hurt him too much? - Isabel asked Serena with worried eyes.

- He’ll be fine, Isabel, he’s tough, you know that! Ok, so he’ll need Max, but what else is new? Don’t worry about him so much, he’s a big boy! - Serena smiled and shook her head.

They heard the knocking on the door and Jim’s voice calling out a greeting. They both raised their arms and opened the door for him. Jim stepped in, a little surprised at not finding anyone, but he was getting used to it.

- Bedroom! - Isabel guided him to them.

- Morning…- Jim said, dipping his head to Serena in a respectful way that made her smile. - Where’s…-

The sound of water from the bathroom and Michael’s complaining voice moaning Maria’s name, had him turning on that direction.

- Oh…- He just said and the two alien females giggled together. - He ok? -

- Sure, she’s just getting him…ready? - Isabel stopped the next giggle with her hand. - They’ll be out in a minute or so. -

They actually took almost twenty minutes while Jim, Serena and Isabel made small talk that kept them entertained. Then the door opened and a wincing Michael came out as Maria pushed him towards the door with both hands on his ass.

- What did you do to him? - Isabel grinned.

- Nothing…- Maria grinned back as Serena and Jim shook their heads and rolled their eyes, quite used to their antics by now.

- You didn’t! - Isabel laughed and Maria just shrugged making a face.

- What was that? - Jim asked, a little confused.

- Nothing…- They both answered and broke into giggles.

- Michael? - Serena asked him noticing, as they all did, that he was slightly limping.

This time it was Michael who shrugged and smirked as he walked out towards Maria’s car.

- Oh well, let’s go, I want an early start to make sure everything turns out the way we want. - Serena sighed and waited for Jim to make the first move.

- He’s ok, Maria was just teasing him…- Isabel reassured both Serena and Jim.

Jim opened the door for them and they got in his car and took off.

Maria arrived at the parking lot and was dismayed to see Michael was snoozing. She saw Kyle going up the stairs and yelled his name. Kyle turned, looking a little scared and trotted over to her.

- You get him out and take him to the bathroom, I’ll get Max there. - She ordered.

- What’s wrong? Is he alright? - Kyle was really worried now.

- He’s just a little sore; Max will ease his pain, that’s all he needs. - Maria turned to go get Max, not wanting to meet his accusing eyes, which were making her feel a little guilty.

- What did you do to him? - He asked a little gruffly.

- Hot alien sex…- Maria whispered back taking off at a run.

- Shit! I should’ve stayed. - Kyle said wistfully as he turned to the sleeping boy.

He wedged his knee between Michael’s thighs and grabbed the waist of his jeans with both hands. On three, and gathering his strength to Michael’s weight, Kyle pulled hard and Michael’s butt made contact with his lap, assuring him he had developed a sudden hard on.

- Mmm…yes…- Michael muttered and Kyle wondered for a fraction of a second if anyone could see them there.

- Oh shit! What am I thinking? Michael, wake up, we’re in school! - He shook his jeans giving his balls and rising cock a painful jolt.

- What? Huh? How? - Michael opened his eyes and everything clicked as he sensed Kyle behind him.

- Maria told me to get you to the bathroom for Max to do his thing. - He told him, watching the sleepy confusion dissipate from his eyes.

- Yeah, right, c’mon. - Michael started walking with his usual long steps, tugging Kyle along, who was watching out not to trip, as he still clung to the waist of Michael’s jeans. - Hey, let go, dude! -

- Sorry…- Kyle apologized as he let go to jog to Michael’s side.

When they arrived at the boy’s bathroom, Max was there waiting with Maria and Liz, all looking quite anxious. He pushed Michael inside and Kyle stood just inside with the door open a sliver, on the lookout as Maria stared at him, wishing she was in there with them and Liz concentrated on Michael to make sure Max was making him better.

A couple of teachers turned the corner, Mr. Lewis and Mrs. Harris, and Liz and Maria scurried away as Kyle closed the door a little too loudly. The teachers got suspicious and opened the door suddenly. Maria and Liz were peeking from the corner and they were all shocked to see Michael with his pants down almost to his knees, bending astride a toilet with his arms on the water tank cradling his face. Max was taken by surprise and turned to the side thinking it was the girls, wondering at Kyle’s bulging eyes and mouth working but no sound coming out due to his strained nerves. His movement gave them all a perfect view of his finger all the way up Michael’s ass. Instead of pulling out, Max froze in terror.

- What the hell are you doing to him? - Shouted Lewis, outraged.

- What do you think you’re doing? - Screamed Harris, equally outraged.

Max understood just what Kyle had just gone through, dumb with shock.

- I’m sorry…I had to have this medicine and I’m too clumsy to do it myself. - Michael’s reflexes took over saving Max and Kyle’s faces. - It’s in, thanks Max…-

Max got his cue and pulled out, turning to the opposite side to wash his hands, and noticing his very red face in the mirror. Kyle on the contrary, had gone death pale. Michael straightened up slowly, wincing, and pulled up his jeans before he turned to face them. They saw he was quite calm and collected, so they just bought it.

- Why didn’t you go to the nurse? - Mrs. Harris asked him.

- It’s…kind of embarrassing…you know? - Michael shrugged, wincing again to add to the effect.

- Are you alright? We know you had been hurt…- Mr. Lewis started.

- Yeah, I’m still sort of recovering, that’s what it was for…- Michael shrugged, smirking convincingly.

- Ok, then, hurry to your classes, and next time, go to the infirmary, is that clear Michael? - Mrs. Harris asked.

- Yes, sure, I’m sorry…they were just helping me…- Michael apologized.

- Ok, ok, run along! - Mr. Lewis frowned.

The three boys started up the hallway, with Michael in the middle and still limping slightly.

- You ok, man? - Kyle had found his voice and colour, but Max was now as pale as Kyle had been.

- Yeah, it still hurts; guess I’ll have to wait a while. -

Michael meant so Max could do his unfinished healing thing without interruptions, but the teachers who were cunningly walking quietly and undetected behind them took it he was talking of the time it would take for the “medicine” to take effect. So they were still safe. Maria and Liz waiting for them and going to hug Michael and ask him if he was ok now, wrapped it up nicely as the teachers rounded the corner just as this was happening. Unfortunately for Michael, the opportunity was lost, and there wasn’t another chance during the school day, because there was always someone too near making it impossible to do it safely. So Michael just had to suffer it with his friends supporting him until it was time for them to leave.

Jim and the two aliens entered the Pod Chamber as Serena looked around her wide eyed. Jim had been there before, but it always filled him with awe, to see with his own eyes the necessary proof that his father wasn’t a nut case, yet not being able to reveal it. Isabel guided them behind her membrane, where she had originally got her mother’s message and discovered the Granilith chamber. It seemed empty now, but when Serena entered the place, it was as if energy started bouncing off the walls. Serena waved a shield very much like Max’s, in front of her and Isabel, keeping Jim safe behind them because of his vulnerable human status. Then what seemed like chanting started echoing all around them and Serena confidently chanted back the responses. Next, painstakingly slowly, the Granilith began to materialize. Serena turned to them, smiling widely.

- It was here all the time, just invisible and immaterial, protecting itself from discovery, sensing the presence of the skins. Tess just took a small part of it in the shape of a ship large enough for her needs. - Serena informed them.

- What if we had all decided to go with her? We wouldn’t have fitted! - Isabel observed.

- It would have then been larger, adjusting to the number of passengers. - Serena nodded.

Isabel and Jim nodded back, understanding its potential.

Then a silver light streaked with Gandarium blue shot out of the Granilith and covered Serena. Isabel gasped, afraid for her safety, but then relaxed as Serena’s vibes calmed her down and told her she was receiving back what she needed. After what must have been a minute at the most, the light surreptitiously faded, and Serena looked renewed, like at least five years had been taken away from her.

- We can go now, now I’m in constant touch with our people, my sister, and can communicate any time we need. But we must be very careful and use it only in very specific and urgent matters, because it causes an electrical surge that can affect the city if overdone and create suspicion. - She said.

- That’s all? Wow, that was fast! I thought we would spend here most of the day! - Isabel exclaimed.

- So did I, but since you’ve already made previous contact with your mother and the Granilith itself, it made it very easy. If it had been the first time, it would have taken a lot of energy and time. No wonder it took my sister all that time to be able to reach you since the first time you discovered this place. How did you gather the extensive energy to summon her, Isabel? - Serena asked.

- I was very sad, and I was crying, desperate for answers and for forgivance for killing Congresswoman Whitaker, who, although it was clear she was our enemy, it still felt like a terrible thing to do. Michael was very supportive, telling me he understood how I felt, and that I could talk to him about it anytime I needed to. But I could never bring myself to do it, not even with him. He must have felt the same when he killed agent Pierce and he had no one to talk to about it. - Isabel felt tears running down her cheeks.

- He talked to me about it, when I had to lock him up after Pierce’s body was discovered, and of course, no one suspected who it was, as Nasedo was impersonating Pierce at the time. He felt very guilty and said he deserved being locked up. He was suffering terribly because of it, staying away from Maria all the summer, afraid for her safety, keeping away from everyone. Spending the days in the desert, only allowing Tess to teach him to focus and control his powers because he knew she was in no danger from him. - Jim told them.

- Tess was very hard on him and demanding, bringing the Pierce issues a little too often to make him as angry and emotional as he needed to make his blasts powerful enough for him to believe she was helping him. She was really taking out on him her frustration for not being able to mindwarp him into making him hers or to be with him at all, under Nasedo’s warning of what would happen to her parents if she dared. - Serena gave them the whole information of what had been going on with Michael during those days.

- And of course, Max had to make fun of his attempts to control his powers to keep us safe from him...we were both quite angry with Max for his typical lack of respect and consideration for Michael. I can never forget the pain in Michael’s eyes when Max was harsh to him, it was the same when Maria misunderstood him and got angry with him. I could always see the hurt and suffering in his eyes, which no one seemed to notice, least of all Maria, I don’t know how, it was so obvious…- Isabel frowned.

- To you it was…because of the latent love you had for each other at that time. That made it even worse when you hurt him. - Serena’s eyes held an accusing look for a fraction of a second that she couldn’t disguise and Isabel detected beyond doubt. - I’m sorry Isabel, I don’t know what came over me…-

- No, you’re absolutely right! I’ll never forget the pain in his eyes when he confronted me about keeping him away from me when I began having doubts about our sexual relations right after I had started them. And that time, after we discovered how Hank had been hurting him, and he decided to go looking for Nasedo…I was a total bitch and screamed at him when he walked away from us that running was the best thing he did. I’m glad I couldn’t see his face, or rather his eyes. I just saw his shoulders hunch for a second, and I knew how he was hurting with my unfair comment. I was just as mean as Max. I know I was. It’s just that I hated to think of him gone as if he didn’t care for me. I couldn’t understand at that time that he was doing it for all of us, not just himself. He truly thought Nasedo was closer to us and what we needed to find out about ourselves and our protection. I hated to think he would leave, that I wouldn’t be able to see him, when I needed to. It was too much. It was back to when we were rescued and I spent three years crying over him until we were together again…protecting us from the pricks at school all those years, for Max to turn into the bully when we grew up. It’s so unfair. - Isabel scoffed, disgusted.

- As you well know, life was very unfair to him in Antar too, it’s his fate, Hank made it very hard for anyone to understand the great person he really is, turning him defensive and distrustful, and he’s the strong one, imagine what it would have been like for any of you. - Serena said.

- Perhaps their crying and screaming would have got them help where it didn’t with Michael, because he took it in silence. - Jim observed.

- Yes, you’re right, it probably would. Sometimes being strong is against you, like in Michael’s case. He wouldn’t break down or complain where others would and call attention to them. Oh, well, - she sighed, - I’m glad that’s over and Michael could make his peace with all those who hurt him. And specially glad he found Laurie, and of course, me. - She laughed, mostly to disguise the fact that she couldn’t help feeling everything closing in and down on them, keeping it to herself, not wanting to worry them unnecessarily until it simply couldn’t be helped anymore.

Chapter 262

Mr. Lewis and Mrs. Harris met again as they left their classes for the second period. Somehow, the crude image they had seen in the bathroom couldn’t leave their minds. They locked eyes and started walking together to their classes. As they passed the art class, the teacher called them in to check on a couple of “masterpieces” of which he seemed particularly proud of. They agreed with him and after taking a look at the rest of the paintings, they left the room, talking comfortably because of the lack of students who were already in their clasrooms.

- Do you think the Valenti kid had something to do? - Mrs. Harris asked.

- He seemed to be on the lookout, but it was Max Evans the one with his finger up Michael Guerin’s ass…- Mr. Lewis froze, having just turned the corner to find the second locker on the lowest row wide open and that geeky kid Billings trying to make himself scarce.

- What are you doing here? You should be in class! - His voice came out harsh because of the shock of being overheard by a student.

- S…sorry sir…I…I forgot my book. - He pushed it in front of him to show them he was telling the truth, but his nervousness assured the teachers he had heard them loud and clear.

- Sorry…- He repeated before scurrying like a rabbit to turn the next corner as fast as he could.

- Dammit! Now we’ll have to tell Forrester before he finds out the wrong way. That little brat won’t keep his trap shut, just to get some attention to himself. - Mr. Lewis scoffed.

- Ok, I’ll give my class and assignment and leave one of my geeks in charge, can you do the same? - Mrs. Harris asked.

- Yeah, sure, meet you out here right away. - Mr. Lewis agreed.

They rushed to their classrooms and Mrs. Harris had to wait a couple of minutes for Mr. Lewis to come out.

- Ok, let’s go. - She said.

They arrived at Principal Forrester’s office and knocked on the door.

- Come in…- They heard, and they opened the door walking in to find the surprised look on the Principal’s face.

- Something wrong in your classrooms? - He asked frowning.

- No, not there…- Mr. Lewis started.

- We witnessed a weird incident before the first period, and maybe we made the wrong decision. It’s been nagging at both of us, so we decided to come right away. - Mrs. Harris continued.

Mr. Lewis took on the rest of the issue minus the Billing brat incident, to save their faces and pretend they didn’t know they had been overheard. When he finished, he noticed Forrester wasn’t frowning but looked upset just the same. Mrs. Harris looked relieved that the second part had been skipped and was quite grateful for it, for both their sakes.

- Ok, go to your classes, I’ll have a chat with Michael first and anyway, I have his doctor’s pager somewhere around here to make sure. -

Mr. Lewis and Mrs. Harris nodded, and being dismissed, they left the office.

A secretary entered the classroom Michael, Max and Kyle were attending, and spoke quietly to the teacher, who turned to look at Michael.

- Shit! - Swore Michael to himself, guessing he was back on the hook.

- Michael, Mr. Forrester wants to see you. - The teacher said.

Michael sighed and got up to follow the secretary. He gave Max and Kyle a quick glance each, smirking, and left, hearing the whispering of the students behind him.

- You know the way. - The secretary gave him a nasty smile, and she went on a different direction.

Michael scoffed and headed for the Principal’s.

He just stood outside the door knowing he could be seen through the opaque glass pane.

- Come in Michael…- Forrester called him.

Michael entered the room and Forrester gestured towards the chairs in front of his desk. Michael slumped on one and stared at him.

- Well, what happened in the bathroom? - He asked.

- Just what I told Mr. Lewis and Mrs. Harris. I needed that medication but I need help cause I’m not good at it, it melts too fast. Max was just helping me. - Michael smirked smugly.

- If there was nothing wrong with it, why did you need the Valenti lookout? -

- So no one would get the wrong idea…but they still did, huh? - Michael bit his lower lip.

- Do you mind if I check it out with your doctor? - Forrester said, expecting Michael to react in a suspicious way.

- No, go right ahead. - He nodded, knowing Stuart would get the picture right away and back him up.

Forrester paged Stuart, and watched Michael’s eyebrows knit and his eyes narrow.

- Was that his pager? I can give you his cell phone. - Michael had hardly finished speaking when Forrester’s direct number rang.

- Dr. Davis, yes, tell me, is Michael on medication still? - He asked.

- Why, is something wrong with him? - Stuart’s voice sounded concerned and Michael’s acute alien hearing had no problem making out every word.

Stuart had just smartly sent down the drain Forrester’s element of surprise.
He had to tell him what had happened, and Stuart had no problems clearing it up.

- Michael is, as you know, still recovering. It’s been a little over a month since he was so badly hurt, and the extent of the damage will take some time to go back to normal, in spite of his youth and fast healing. He’s had too many needles already, so I prescribed that specific form of medication since he can’t take the oral kind. I’m very sorry and I feel rather responsible for the problem you’ve had. You see, both Max and Liz have expressed their interest in studying medicine, so I’ve let them give me a hand with Michael, with his consent of course, so maybe that’s why Max did it. - Stuart had Forrester completely in his hands.

- Thank you Doctor, I’m very sorry to have bothered you. I understand it all perfectly now. Goodbye. - Forrester turned to Michael.

- Alright then, please tell Evans that if he wants to play doctor with you, to keep it out of school, that’s what the nurse is here for. - He said.

- Sure, ok. - Michael accepted.

- Now, what problems do you have with oral medication? - He asked, intrigued.

- I can’t swallow them, they come right back up. - Michael frowned. - It’s the chemical taste, I guess. -

Forrester sighed and shook his head.

- Hell of a problem…ok, go back to your class and please, behave! I want the schoolyear to finish without problems. I’ll make sure you graduate with the summer courses, I promise you, ok? - He smiled at the tall boy.

Michael smirked and got up.

- Thanks, sir. - He said politely, and left the room to return to his classroom. The bell rang when he was on the way and he met Max who had his stuff. When they arrived at the lockers, everyone turned to stare at them. Billing stood right in the middle looking very happy with himself, smiling ear to ear.
As Liz and Maria turned the corner, that bitch Pam Troy went right up to them with three of her friends.

- So what do you think of your boyfriend’s finger? - She asked Liz nastily, turning to Maria. - And of Michael’s ass that we don’t already know? -

Maria was furious that she hadn’t called him her boyfriend, and was about to call her a few dirty names she deserved, when Michael put his arm around her shoulder and pulled her to him.

- C’mon…- He whispered and kissed her, making Pam and her friends green with envy.

- Did you see that? - Pam screeched in her nasty voice. - He’s bi, that’s for sure. I hope you enjoy sharing his ass, Maria! -

Maria walked away grabbing Michael’s ass with one hand and giving them the finger with the other one, Max and Liz walked hand in hand beside them.

- And Liz…- Pam began.

Michael pulled free from Maria and with the speed of a cat, he was standing right in front of Pam.

- You seem to have a problem with me, so leave them alone. - He growled.

- N-n-no Michael, I-I-I was just teasing…- She stuttered, the nearness of Michael making her feel faint.

- Ok, keep it there…- Michael returned to Maria and they walked to their next class together.

They weren’t left alone for the rest of the school day, muttering and whispering and giggling whenever they were in sight so it was impossible for Max to help Michael in any way. As soon as school was over, they went over to meet Serena, Isabel and Jim at Michael’s and he and Max went straight to his bedroom for Max to do his thing. Maria didn’t like the way Michael was moaning, but she had to admit he was getting some relief anyway. She looked around and realized that her feelings were shared by all the others there with her. She couldn’t help tears running down her cheeks, partly because of what Michael was going through, and partly for seeing the others there for both Michael and her. And before she knew it, they were all hugging her from all sides possible.

- He’ll be fine, Maria. - Serena said.

- Max is taking good care of him. - Liz added.

Isabel just pressed her cheek against hers and got her message through just as Kyle and Jim squeezed her arms.

- Thanks guys…- Sobbed Maria when she heard Michael call her name.

She shook free and ran to the bedroom with everyone behind her in one body. They were glad to find Michael relaxed and Max sitting beside him smiling widely. Then Serena received a call from Uncle Derek saying he would be there at about 7:00pm, if that was ok, and to give him the address so he could take a taxi straight from the airfield. Serena asked them where he should go to, so Isabel took the phone from her and gave him her parent’s address and gave the phone back to Serena. By the time she finished talking, Isabel and Max had enlarged the bed, Kyle had got the TV set in the bedroom and they were all very comfy ready to watch some films before it was time to go to the Evans’ and meet Uncle Derek there. Knowing Jesse always checked his messages the second he arrived home, and imitating perfectly her mother’s voice, she invited him to dinner. Michael was sleeping peacefully and they all woke him up and had him showered and dressed and ready for the Evans’. It would take him all he had not to pounce on Jesse and wring his neck, but he had promised himself he would behave. Liz and Maria had to work their shifts but would join them right after, even for a little while cause they had to be in school next day. Jim joined Kyle, Michael and Isabel in Max’s car. They arrived at the Evans’ and they welcomed Serena warmly. They couldn’t wait to meet “Uncle” Derek too, after all they had heard of him. They didn’t have to wait long before he arrived and was immediately made at home. They were all having a great time when the bell rang and it was Jesse. The glare Michael gave him made his reasons very clear, but to everyone else; it was just the fact that he hated him being mean to Isabel. Jesse did his best to mix; not that he really did, but kept his distance from Michael, not risking it. Uncle Derek and Serena were checking him out very subtly, so none of the humans noticed it, except for Jim, whose instincts as sheriff for many years were as sharp as ever. He didn’t like him either because of his causing Isabel’s unhappiness. Both Philip and Diane were very warm to Michael knowing he had been recently hurt again, specially because it had been protecting Max. Jim felt the same because of his son. Uncle Derek and Serena could detect easily Jesse’s frowns, which he quickly wiped away from his face, when anyone was nice to Michael. He simply hated the attention the youngest boy was getting, but there was nothing he could do about it without giving himself away. Finally Liz and Maria arrived and they had the dessert with them. Jesse shot poison out of his eyes watching both Maria and Isabel feed Michael spoonfuls out of their own dishes, getting worse when his wife did it. He knew Isabel was taunting him, safe with her parents and all her friends around her, most of all Michael. When it was time to go home, Michael seethed to see Isabel had to go back with Jesse. He found a perfect moment and hissed in the older man’s ear:

- If you touch her, I’ll rip your head off. - He said it with a smile so they all thought it was some kind of joke, since Jesse made light of it with a nervous giggle. When Isabel came to kiss Michael goodnight, she whispered:

- It’s alright, don’t worry. -

- Dreamwalk me, I want to be with you tonight…- He whispered back and Isabel nodded imperceptibly.

She knew Michael would go nuts if he couldn’t know she was safe tonight, so she agreed. When Maria drove Michael back home with Max and Liz tagging along in his car, Michael told Maria what it had been about, when she asked him. She was totally ok with it, also worried about Isabel’s safety. She wanted to stay but after tucking Michael in and kissing him elaborately, she and Liz left, leaving Michael in Max’s arms.
