CHAPTER 1




MAX P.O.V

Liz and I have been together for around 8 months now and so far everything has been going great.

Ok, ok … so we haven’t told my father yet about our relationship.

But can you blame us?

After all he did try to break us up…

And he is still trying to make me get back with Tess, which might I add is still fucking Kyle…

“Max” I hear Liz sigh in hear sleep and turn my head slightly, and look down at her beautiful features.

“Mmmmm” she moans.

I wonder what she’s dreaming about…???

“Maxxx” she moans and I see a slight smile appear on her lips.

I guess that answers my question.

I don’t believe how great these last months have been.

It’s been around 5 months since Isabel’s wedding.

Which might I add … Liz and I went to together!

I was the best man and Liz was the maid of honour, it’s so great to see my sister and my girlfriend getting along so well.

By the way she and Alex are doing fine…

In fact they came over last week and had an announcement to make … turns out Izzy is 2 months pregnant.

I’m going to be an uncle…

How great is that ….

“Morning” I hear Liz’s beautiful voice break through my thoughts.

“Hey sweetie” I say as I wrap my arms around her waist and hold her close.

“So, did you have a good dream?” I ask, and I know I’m being a smart ass but can you blame me.

Every guy needs to have his fun …

“Yes, very good” she sighs as she leans up and places a sweet kiss on my lips.

“Well, I guess it was pretty good … I mean from all the moaning and sighing...”I start to say but Liz interferes.

“I was not”

“Were to”

“Was not”

“Yes you were, baby”

“Fine, so maybe I did” she says and I grin in satisfaction.

“So, I’m going to my parents house tonight Izzy and Alex will be there, I want you to come” I say crossing my fingers that she will agree.

And that I won’t have to face my father on my own.

“But, your father...” she starts to say in a panic.

“Sweetie, I’ll be there and he won’t do anything Liz” I say for reassurance.

“You promise you won’t leave my side?” she asks and I look into her soulful eyes.

“I promise”…

CHAPTER 2






LIZ P.O.V

Its 6 o’clock and I’m at the Crashdown waiting for Max to pick me up.

I am soo nervous … but can you honestly blame me.

I’m meeting Max’s father … you know the asshole.

I know he isn’t going to like our relationship, but I honestly don’t care.

Max and I have been together now for 8 months now and our relationship is great.

I love him and he loves me.

I really don’t see why I have to meet his father …

Ok so I’m lying but I’m scared.

Your probably wondering where my parents are …

Well they are still on their quest to travel the word as a whole family.

That’s right … their on that stupid family reunion still.

Well I just want to let everyone now what happened….

It was about 3 months ago and my mum called me …….

RING RING

“Hello” I say.

“Hello Lizzie hi, how are you sweetie?” My mum asks and I look at Max and send him an apologetic smile.

We were in the middle of something … if you know what I mean.

“I’m great mum” I say.

And I really do mean it; Max ha made me soo happy.

“That’s great baby” she says and I’m so happy that she called.

I haven’t heard her voice in a while and every daughter misses her mother.

“Ohhhh sweetie your cousin Tara wants to speck to you” she says and I hear a ratal on the other end.

Ohhhh Nooo…

“LIZZIE” I hear Tara scream into the phone.

“Hey” I say casually.

I look over at Max to see that he understands what’s going on …

And by that I mean that he knows that it’s my cousin Tara and that I hate her.

“Lizzy baby, come back to bed” he says loud enough for Tara to hear.

I smile as I look over at him.

“Who was that?” Tara says and I can just picture her with a shocked face.

“It’s my boyfriend Max, you see we were kind of in the middle of something” I say as I smile at Max.

You know the funny part I that it’s true…

“You have a boyfriend, that’s impossible” she says into the phone.

I must admit I am hurt … very.

But just as she says that sentence Max grabs the phone from my hand and I look at him with a questionait eye.

“Excuse me but Liz and I we’re kind of busy right now… so can you call back later” he says and I hear Tara ask.

“Who are you?”

“I’m Max Evans, Liz’s boyfriend” he says and I see the proud smile on his face.

“You mean … the millionaire…” she starts but Max cuts her off.

“Yes the millionaire” he says rolling his eyes.

Before she can say anything else Max hands up .. and I’m sure my cousin is fuming on the other side of the world…

BEEP BEEP

I hear Max’s SUV from out side and grab my bag …

I can only wish for the best…

CHAPTER 3






MAX P.O.V

“You ready baby?” I ask as we stand in front of my fathers Million dollar mansion…

The car drive here was silent …

I know that Liz is worried, but she has nothing to worry about.

I’m here.

DING DONG

I ring the door bell and hold Liz close to me.

“Max, I don’t know if I can do this” Liz says and I see the worried look on her face.

“Sweetheart, it’s going to be fine” I say as I kiss her cheek.

“Ohhh Maxwell” I hear my mothers voice say as she opens the door.

“Ohh honey I’ve missed you so much” she says as she hugs me close.

I love my mother … she is the most wonderful woman you’ll ever meet.

“Hey mum” I say returning her hug.

“Ohh, and who is your lovely friend?” she asks gesturing to Liz who is smiling brightly.

“Mum, I would like you to meet Liz my girlfriend” I say as I hold Liz to my side and we walk into the house.

“Well, hello dear … I’m Max’s mother Diane” she says as she hugs Liz.

“Hello Mrs Evans” Liz says with a shy smile.

God … I love her.

“Please call me Diane” My mum says and I love how well their getting along.

“Ohh Liz hi” Isabel says as she runs into the room and hugs Liz.

“I wasn’t expecting to see you here” she adds and I smile.

I just hope Isabel doesn’t bad mouth me around Liz … I mean after all they are very good friends now.

“Yeah well, what can I say … I couldn’t wait to see you again” Liz says.

“Maxwell, I’m so glad that you could make it” I hear my father’s voice fill the room.

“Yeah, well I had to come to see my mum” I say smiling at my mother.

I look over at Liz to see that she is nervous.

I move over to her and hold her in my arms as I kiss the side of her face.

“You ok?” I ask a bit worried when she doesn’t move.

“This is kind of scary” she says and I nod.

CHAPTER 4






LIZ P.O.V

I am so scared right now…

I’m standing face to face with Max’s father and … well his not as small as I had in mind…

“Well Max aren’t you going to introduce us to … her” he says while pointing to me like I am filth.

I look at Max to see him looking down at me.

“Who are you?” he asks rudely and I paste on a fake smile.

“I’m Liz, Max’s girlfriend” I say and I look at his face.

O h My God … I think I should run now.

His face is red with anger and fury …

“Max doesn’t have a girlfriend called Liz, Max’s girlfriend is called Tess” he says and I snap.

“Actually no … Max and I have been together for 8 months now, and everything is going great” I say and I see him frown.

“I thought you would have gotten the message, when I told you 3 months ago to fuck off, but I guess you didn’t” he says as he steps closer to me.

“Dad back off” Max says as he steps in front of me while holding me close.

“Maxwell, you shouldn’t be dating someone who is soo low class like that tramp” he says and I see Max tighten his fists.

Ouch that hurt … I am not a tramp.

“Liz is not low class and she definitely is not a tramp” Max says and I am so happy that he would stick up for me.

“Why are you even with that slut Maxwell, because she’s good in bed” he says and before anyone knows what is going on…

Mr Evans is lying on the floor holding his jaw.

“She is not a slut” Max says as he turns to me and sends an apologetic glance my way.

Mr Evans gets up and pushes Max away.

And I see him start punching away … Oh My God Max.

Max falls to the floor but gets up quick.

Before I know what’s happening, I’m being hit down to the floor by Max’s dad.

“LIZ” Max screams as he falls to my side.

“Baby I’m soo sorry” he says as he helps me up.

I’m holding my cheek which I’m sure will have a bruise on it by tomorrow.

“You leave us alone” Max says as he pulls me out of the house…

CHAPTER 5







MAX P.O.V


We step inside of the house and I help Liz to the couch…

She has been holding her face in pain for about half an hour now.

When I saw my father hit Liz, I was soo angry that I can’t even put it into words.

I know my father is a dick head, but never did I think that he was capable of doing something so low…

Something so heartless …

He hit my girlfriend… he hit Liz …

And Liz is the only thing that matters to me, and right now she is in pain because of me.

“Here you go sweetie” I say handing her an ice pack.

I see a tear slide down her face and I feel guilty.

“Max” she says and I look at her.

“Yeah?”

“I don’t care about your father, I care about you … and right now all I want is for you to hold me and not feel guilty or responsible” she says and I sit next to her.

I hold her in my arms and look down at her swollen face.

“But it is my fault Liz” I say as I caress her cheek slightly … not wanting to hurt her.

“I am responsible” I add and I feel my eyes water slightly.

I don’t believe how stupid I was tonight …

I put Liz in danger; I made her go to my father’s house.

“No Max please” she says as she cups my face.

I look into her eyes and I see love shining through.

“I love you, and I want to be with you” she says and I finally understand what is wrong.

“Liz?”

“No Max please” she says as she starts to cry harder.

“Please don’t break up with me” she says and I grab her and pull her into my arms.

“Liz, baby I’m not going to break up with you” I say as pull away slightly.

She is still crying so hard that I don’t think she can breathe.

“Max, please don’t break up with me” she says again and I lean down and kiss her.

I taste her salty tears and I pull away slightly.

“Why would I break up with you?” I ask as I look down at her.

“Because your father doesn’t like me” she says and I shake my head.

“Liz I don’t care what he thinks” I say as I pull her into my lap.

“I love you, now and forever” I add and she kisses me again…

CHAPTER 6






LIZ P.O.V

It was a big relief when Max told me that he didn’t care what his father thought about our relationship.

I really thought he would break up with me …

Don’t get me wrong, I know that Max loves me.

But it’s just that Philip is his father and he hates me, why would Max still want to be with me?

I place my hand over my cheek and I feel the pain.

It’s 7.30 in the morning.

Last night after Max reassured me that he wouldn’t leave me.

He carried me upstairs and we made love…

I love him so much I don’t know what I would do if he left now…

“Hey, what are you doing up so early” I hear Max’s voice say and turn my head slightly to see him wide awake.

“I couldn’t sleep” I say as I turn to lie in his arms.

“You still thinking about…” he starts to say and I nod.

“Yeah, it’s kind of hard not to” I say as I place my hand on my cheek.

“Does it hurt” he asks and I look up into his eyes to see guilt.

“Yeah, but I’m a big girl I can handle it” I say as I lean in closer and place a kiss on his lips.

“I’m sorry Liz”

“It’s not your fault”

“Yes it is”

“No Max, it happened and we can’t change that, but I wouldn’t change a thing” I say as I look in to his eyes,

“And I would do it all again if it means I get to be with you” I say and I see him smile.

“Really?”

“Yes, really” I say as I lean in closer and capture his lips again.

“I love you Liz, so much”

“And I love you, more than you’ll ever know” …

CHAPTER 7






MAX P.O.V

It’s 11.30 and Liz and I got up pretty late, considering how early we woke up…

“Max” Liz says as he walks into the kitchen.

“Yeah, baby?” I say.

I’m making lunch, I know it’s a bit early but Isabel called earlier saying that she wants to come bye and see how Liz is.

“I have to go home later today, I got no more clothes” she says and I nod.

I have to do this now… while I have the chance.

“Liz”

“Yeah?”

“I want you to move in with me” I say crossing my fingers.

Please say yes … Please say yes … Please say yes … Please say yes …

I repeat over and over in my head.

“Serous?” she asks shocked and I nod.

“Very serious” I say as I nod.

“We can go later today with Isabel and pack your stuff” I add

“Are you sure you want me, here all the time?” she asks.

Is she serious…???

“Liz I want you to be here when I wake up and when I go to sleep, I want you to be here when I go to work and I want to hurry up and get back home to see you again” I say and I see Liz smile.

“Yes Max” she says nodding.

“Yes?”

“Yes I will move in with you” she adds and I pick her up and spin her.

“Oh baby” I say as I place her on her feet again and kiss her breathless…

This is totally wonderful.

We are going to be living together …

LIZ P.O.V

It’s around 1 and Isabel and Alex just arrived.

I am still overwhelmed by all the excitement of moving in with Max…

I can’t believe it…

“Hey Lizzie” Alex says as he comes and gives me a hug.

Alex and I pretty close … I mean we have a lot in common.

Such as we are both in love with a Evans and we both hate Philip Evans…

“Hey” I say returning the hug.

“Hey, how are you?” Isabel says as she hugs my while examining my cheek.

“I’m ok”

“That’s good … I had no idea dad was capable of such a thing” she says as she kisses Max on the cheek.

“Yeah, me either” Max says as he wraps his arms around me protectively.

“I was shocked” Alex says and I nod.

“I knew he was a bastard … since he missed his daughters wedding, but I never thought he was capable of hitting a girl … his son’s girl” he adds and I see Isabel nod in agreement.

“So how are you feeling Izzy?” I ask wondering how the baby is.

“I’m fine, so is the baby” she says with a proud smile while placing her hand on her stomach.

“So umm, Liz and I have an announcement to make” Max says and I nod with a wide smile on my face.

“I’m moving in with Max” I say and I see them all smile.

“That’s great” Isabel says and Alex agrees.

“Well, did you guys want some help with all the stuff?” Alex asks and Max nods.

“That would be great” he says.

“Well since we are all here now, why don’t we start” Isabel suggests and I smile.

“That would be great” I say but I add.

“Isabel you know you can’t help us … I mean you cant lift anything with the baby”

I see her pout.

“Liz is right Izzy, you can’t risk it” Max adds and she nods.

“Well I can watch” she says and we all nod.

This is going to be great…

MAX P.O.V

We are in separate cars driving back to my house… our house.

This is so great!

Liz and I moving in together…

I’m in the car with Alex and Liz is with Isabel.

“So what are you going to do about work?” Alex asks and I glance at him slightly.

I must admit I have thought about it … and I have an Idea.

“Well, I’m going to quit”

“What?”

“I’m quitting”

“Does Liz know?”

“No”

“Why?”

“Did you see what he did to Liz …God I love her so much and I had to watch her get hurt by my father” I say and I see him nod in understanding.

“But do you have a plan?”

“Yes”

“Well?”

“Well what?” I ask with a small smile.

“What’s your plan … because you know that I’ll follow you” he says and I smile.

“I’m starting up my own ferm” I say and I see him smile.

“You’re serious?”

“Very”

“That’s great, well I’ll be there” he says and I am proud to call this guy my brother-in-law.

“So have you quit yet?”

“No, I’m going to tomorrow in the middle of that huge meeting” I say with a smile.

“Well, I’m quitting too” he says and I have a feeling we wont be the only two quitting.

LIZ P.O.V

I’m driving to Max’s house … our house.

And I hear my mobile start ringing…

RING RING

“Hello” I say as I flip it open.

“Lizzie, sweetie how is everything?” I her my mother ask.

“Everything is fine mum, in fact I got some great news” I say with a smile.

I look over to Isabel to see her smiling as well.

“Well, what is it?”

“I’m moving in with my boyfriend” I say and I hear my mother start cheering.

“Hooray” she says into the phone and I shake my head.

She really want’s to get rid of me…

“That’s great baby” she says and I agree.

“So when do I get to meet him?” she asks and I smile.

“Never” I say and I know what to expect.

“What?”

“I was joking mum”

“You better be”

“Well, when you come back you can meet him” I say and she giggle.

“This is great baby” she says and I have to agree.

“I’m so happy that you found someone to love” she says and I know that she really means it.

And that brings a tear to my eyes.

“I know mum” I say.

“It really is great” I add.

“Well I have to go” I say.

“Say hi to daddy for me” I say and I hear her say.
